At the request of former B.A.P leader, Bang Yongguk, a conversation sparks with one of the industry's most artistic idols.

Third generation rapper Bang Yongguk uploaded an unexpected video to his YouTube channel, around a month following his new album, in which he documented a meeting with ATEEZ's youngest member and songwriter, Himari. In contrast to what many believed when seeing the title it was in fact not their first time interacting with one another as they had filmed a dance challenge in the summer of last year. On that day however it was arranged by the senior artist due to his curiosity regarding the vocalist's impressive credits as well as her unique artistic expression, claiming that he viewed her as one of the industry's rare aces.

Despite B.A.P's unfortunate disbandment in 2019 following a lawsuit against their company, it was expressed multiple times throughout the years that she held a great respect for him and found great inspiration in the way that he pursued his own creativity. It was through one of those passionate ramblings that the rapper caught wind of the maknae's name, the young woman immediately catching his attention with her often emotional additions in b-sides.

'There was something about the way you wrote certain feelings, the strict work ethic that you showed in videos and the realness in your personality that made me curious. You're also producing quite a lot for someone this young so I wanted to meet you, to see who was the girl everyone started talking about, good or bad comments alike.'

In the beginning of their conversation he mentioned that listening to the single 'Pray', made in collaboration with Agust D, was especially painful due to the vulnerability being expressed through such raw lyrics that seemed poured directly from their hearts. However it was her solo track 'Shadow' in the group's most recent album that made the heaviest impression not only for the heartbreaking side of the story but also the interesting production techniques she had used, each being carefully crafted to fit a specific narration.

Throughout the two hour long video netizens were able to witness a connection slowly form between these two artists, with the eldest having prepared some activities such as a short painting session as well as cooking dinner to break the ice. Despite the maknae's initial nervousness towards being alone with one of her favorite rappers , conversation seemed to flow rather easily due to her senior's attentive listening and their time together ended with a warm hug along with a promise to meet again in the near future.

The last few minutes revealed that he had requested she leave the painting done during their short activity, proceeding to frame it in his living room, claiming that it added life into the house and would ensure he is always reminded of this encounter. The vocalist on the other hand excitedly showed off a polaroid already placed in her phone case to the camera, the image simply being the two posing cutely yet meaning much more to her as the rapper had been an idol of hers for a very long time.

Other artists from older generations have expressed a desire to meet the rapidly rising songwriter, with legendary rapper G-Dragon sharing songs produced by her through Instagram stories with encouraging phrases in which he often conveyed support.

Sammy Ingram Is A Liar

I have known Samantha a.k.a. Sammy for over 10 years. We used to be extremely close friends up until recently. I had to cut her off, because my self, and some of our other friends called her out for constantly lying in her videos. She has already cut off Other friends for calling her out. One of our friends, Tallia, called her out over a year ago, publicly, and Sammy pretended to not know who she was. Sammy has been a habitual, and pathological liar her entire life. She used to lie about her race, and heavily edit her photos and tell people that they weren’t even when it was extremely obvious. She would tell people she was Hispanic, then she would tell people she was half black. She knows how to manipulate people into believing whatever she tells them. I will attach messages to this thread. I was recently blocked after trying to upload a video about the situation on YouTube, she reported my video immediately, and it got taken down for bullying and harassment. I tried to re-upload it, but since my kids were in the background of my video, I think it’s safer, if I don’t.

She always tries to silence everyone who calls her out. She cuts her friends off and blocks us. Then she pretends as if she doesn’t know us. She has never manifested anything in. This is not her first time using social media to scam people. She has admitted to us that she steals other peoples videos. She has sent me links of other peoples post and videos, saying she was going to make a video like it. She talks shit about her coaches, and even tried to scam some of them. Which is why her coaches are constantly leaving. She always says she doesn’t care about her clients, she just wants to make money. She always complains about her clients and her situation is calling them names and laughing at them for being desperate.

Around the time of her father‘s passing, and I reached out to her and told her that I pray she stops lying and does the right thing. She got mad at me and wouldn’t talk to me for a few months. When she did reach out to me she told me she would confess publicly. me and Tallia, are used to create google accounts, and Facebook, pages and fake success stories for her. We were commenting, 20 or 30 success stories under all of her post. When she started her Facebook group, we would post success stories from accounts we created. She literally asked us to do this, so that people would buy her coaching and think she was legit. And she used to buy her Instagram followers. She used to tell people she was Hispanic, which is not true. She would lie about where she is from. All she does is lie. She never manifested Bobby, I have no clue how she made him agree to even filming videos about it. But I’m sure she Gaslite him or manipulated him as she did so many people we know.

She has a burner Twitter account that she used to use to bully people online. The account is still active and she uses it to defend herself, pretending to be someone else to anyone who sends her hate online. She pretends like it’s a supporter but it’s actually her. You may have noticed this account around. She blocked all of her friends on this account along time ago, so I don’t remember the name of it. I’m sure one of you can find it and figure it out. I years ago, she would always create fake accounts to bully people or make herself seem better. Since she is a good liar and manipulator, it’s usually easy for her to get away with everything. I’m sure she has brainwashed her followers into believing everything she says. she loves playing the victim and always has. Every time she starts some thing with someone, it’s always their fault. She is constantly throwing rocks at people and then hiding her hands. This has been going on way before this YouTube channel.

I’m sure like always. She is going to pretend like she doesn’t know me. The same thing she did to TALLIA I will see if I can find a picture of us together. Please help me get this message out. I worry for her son Major Devon Ingram every single day. I pray he doesn’t end up like a pathological liar like his mom. I tried to tell her for years she needs to confess to all of the fucked up stuff she’s done. She continues to say she will, but I doubt she will ever. I cannot wait to see how she will lie and manipulate her way out of this.

Who’s Hanna, what’s happening?

I think gabbie hanna is a youtube personality/influencer. I don’t know the full details, but fans of hers grew concerned yesterday as she uploaded over 100 videos to tiktok in one day, all with her saying what basically amounts to absolute nonsense, the kind of stuff you’d get really excited or passionate over when very drunk. she’s mostly just in her home walking around with loud music blaring.

but there’s a man behind her in most of the shots, some young guy who she calls nicholas/nick. he apparently came knocking on her door that morning asking to use her bathroom (someone said he filmed himself walking to her home so he almost certainly knows who she is) and she let him in despite friends texting her saying not to allow him into her home. she’s likely having some kind of psychotic/manic episode so isn’t judging things safely or accurately. so he’s just there, rooting around in some of her things like her medical unit and just trailing her around the house. apparently he went live on something too at some point. he also apparently filmed the front of her house so it’s now easily identifiable.

the last video gabbie posted the other day was a video with a caption saying someone had broken into her home (likely a different person as she’d been ‘hanging out’ with nicholas for what seems like hours) and to pray for her. that was posted 6 hours before my post about her last night. I hope her friends have gone to check on her and got all these people out of her house. someone on twitter said there were police cars on her street so perhaps they were called by someone too

It has been about three months since Henry Cavill stumbled upon Sandy Choi’s YouTube channel and he is thanking the YouTube algorithms every single day for recommending it to him. He was surprised that he never heard about her before, since her channel is pretty big and well known, but maybe he is too old to keep up to date with YouTubers nowadays.

He binge watched her videos, watching clips from her from three years ago when she started her channel. Seeing her grow from a twenty two year old college student, to a successful YouTuber and young adult author, impresses Henry. He felt like he didn’t have his life together at that age at all and she seems so at ease. She has achieved great thing so far and watching her vlogs, helps him take his mind off his own life and the stress that sometimes comes with it.

He has a YouTube account, but only uses it to be subscribed to her channel and liking her videos. He doesn’t want to miss any of her updates on her channel. Henry is plopped on his couch, cuddling with Kal when he gets a notification.

Sandy Choi has uploaded a new video. Without thinking twice he opens the YouTube app on his iPad. He shouldn’t be this obsessed with a twenty five year old YouTuber, but it’s something about her aesthetic, about her calm way of talking and how she takes the viewers with her. It’s like being there with her and God, does he want to spend some time with her, even if she is just editing a new video, her book or is taking them with her during photoshoots.

The video loads and he gives it a thumbs up before the video has even started. Kal places his head on Henry’s lap, sighing deeply, as if the big fur ball knows that his owner will not give him any attention for the next fifteen minutes.

The slow song fills his living room, as he watches her introduction. They’re all snippets of today’s vlog, since he has never seen the footage before. Seeing her smiling in the camera, makes his heart flutter.

He feels like a teenager again, with the way he has this permanent grin plastered on his face, every time she posts things and he watches the entire video.

‘It’s the first of July,’ Sandy says, as she is sitting in front of her mirror, trying to fix her hair. Her make-up is all set and done. It’s very minimal, like usual, but with a brighter pink lipstick. ‘And that means in three days it’s the Fourth of July and I won’t be spending it in LA.’

Henry looks at his phone, to see that this was filmed two days ago. With the lighting speed she edits, he often wonders if she has some sort of magic powers.

‘It’s pretty weird actually,’ Sandy continues, ‘not to spend time with family on the Fourth. I moved here about seven months ago and ever since I stepped a foot in London, my parents have been sending me some serious threats about how I should fly back to LA on the Fourth of July. My birthday, Thanksgiving, they don’t care about that, weirdly enough.’

Henry lives in London, but he has yet to bump into her. He recognizes the places she visits and when he visits them, he never sees her, though he keeps his eyes out, praying for her to be there. God, he wishes he would just bump into her, though he has no idea what to say to her. Hi there, I’m Henry Cavill and I’m obsessed with your videos? He’ll probably scare her away.

He watches the entire vlog intently, as Sandy is taking the viewers with her for a stroll in the park, a nice cafe that he now wants to visit and eventually she goes to the dance studio.

She is a great dancer and he sometimes wonders why she’s not doing anything with it. The way she moves her slender body and knows how to control it, is absolutely mesmerizing. She posted a few dance covers on her channel, but she’s always alone. Never dancing with someone. He wonders if she comes up with these dances herself, whether or not she is free styling.

The video is almost over, yet he doesn’t want it to be over. She could make vlogs that are twenty four hours long, and he would watch it in one sitting. She’s crouched down in front of the camera, still in the dance studio, while she pulls out her hair tie, letting her long dark brown locks fall over her shoulders. ‘So,’ she says with a soft smile, ‘I’m sorry today was a pretty boring day. It’s just that I have been spending so much time editing my newest novel, that I just couldn’t read the last two chapters anymore, so I’ll be doing that tomorrow or later this week. I work ahead of schedule anyway, so I have some leverage. I just wanted to get a nice and quiet day in, so I’m going home now and maybe rewatch something on Netflix. I’m not in the mood for something new, since I have to focus on understanding the story, you know, so I think the Witcher will do for now. Haven’t had my fair share of Henry Cavill today.’

Henry can’t seem to focus on the last part of the vlog, where she wishes everyone a good day and the outro starts. She is going to rewatch the Witcher? Meaning, she has already watched it? She hasn’t had her fair share of him today?

What does that even mean?

And the way she said his name, he is going to die if he would rewatch that part.

Someone calls him and he picks up without looking. ‘Yeah?’ he says when he answers the phone, still living a bit on cloud nine.

‘For the love of God, man, you’re getting more and more impersonal every time I call,’ he hears his friend Jackson say from the other end of the line. ‘Where the fuck are you, man? We were supposed to meet each other like five minutes ago.’

Henry jumps up from his couch. ‘Crap, I forgot.’

‘Figured.’

‘I’ll be there in a second.’ He storms to the hallway, to find his running shoes, but he has to walk upstairs for them.

‘You’re always on time. What happened today?’

‘I was watching something.’

Jackson starts to laugh from the other side of the line. ‘Let me guess: a certain someone uploaded her newest vlog? Does her name start with an S and end with andy Choi?’

‘Very funny.’ Jackson was never supposed to find out about this guilty pleasure of his, but somehow Jackson did find out, like he always does. Sometimes Henry hates his friend, since he can read him way too well and pesters him afterwards.

‘Well, hope it was worth it,’ Jackson says. Henry can hear the smile in his voice and that means that he is going to mention this during their entire run.

Henry rushes outside after he slipped on his running shoes. ‘It was totally worth it,’ he says. Knowing he’ll tell Jackson anyways, he adds: ‘She said my name, you know.’

‘Shut up.’

‘I’m not,’ Henry says with a smile.

‘She honest to God said your name?’

‘Yeah and she is rewatching the Witcher.’ Henry can’t seem to get the permanent grin off his face. He hears her say it over and over in his head, visualizing it with the lovely smile on her face.

‘You need to fucking grow some balls, follow her on Instagram and slide into her DM’s. Everyone does that nowadays.’

‘I’m not going to do that.’

‘No, what you are going to do is bother me with questions like: “Why is she so pretty?” and “When am I going to run into her?”. Like I can answer those. It’s obvious that she is simply rewatching the Witcher because of the way you look. Everyone on earth is into you, why wouldn’t she?’

Henry clears his throat, before he says: ‘See you in three minutes.’

VLOG Update.

You giggled, “Relax, I think you’ll do well. You always stare at me when I apply make-up, so..” you replied to him, “Take it easy, it’s just make-up. It’s not like I’m going to meet your parents afterwards.” You tried to calm him down but he just laughed it off.

You gave him a peck on the cheek, you appreciate how Chris supports you in what you do, he was always there for you along the journey of being a Youtuber. You also appreciate how he plugs your new video upload on his Twitter account, even though he wasn’t there in the clip itself. “All I’m saying is the name of the make-up, that’s all. You’ll have to figure out where it is for, and like, how much you need to apply.”

“Alright, I’m down.” He agreed, as he reach for the concealer and inspected it. You headed to where the camera is and clicked on the button to start recording.

“Ready?” you asked him and he nodded with a smile on his face.

“Heywhat’supeveryoneit’smeagain, your girl, Y/N.” you started right off the bat with your usual introduction which always made Chris giggle, “Today, I’m here with Chris Evans and we’re going to do a make-up vlog today.”

You motioned to him and he looked at the camera to wave, “Hello, I don’t know why she introduced me like that, she can just simply call me her boyfriend or whatever.” You playfully smacked his arm right after he said that, which made the both of you laugh, “Also, I’m being held as a hostage—send help.” He continued and you only shook your head sideways as you chuckle. “So a lot of you kept on asking about my make-up, like the products I use and what I would recommend. Honestly,” you glanced at the products laid on the counter, “I think I use the usual products, like the really common stuff. But let’s get started!”

You sat down on the bar stool and Chris mirrored your movement, grabbing a chair for his own as well. You are now facing each other, Chris couldn’t wipe away the smirk from his face, “I honestly don’t know what I’m doing right now, how do I even start this shit?” he kept on laughing to himself.

“I usually apply a primer first but since I will be washing the make-up off right after, I’ll just skip to foundation. Right there, babe.” You pointed at the small bottle of foundation, he picked it up and showed it to the camera/audience expertly, copying the ones that he usually sees on make-up videos.

“That’s a lot of brush, babe. Can I just use my hands?” he asked and you shook your head, you pointed at the beauty sponge that’s sitting beside the brushes, “Use that.”

“Okay, this is very liquid-y. Is this like a forehead make-up, or specific on the cheeks—oh wait, you use this on your whole face. Got it.” He started talking to himself by that point and you were close to questioning if this is a great idea for a video, but you trusted him anyways. You closed your eyes when his hand started to approach your face, you felt the gentle touch of the sponge as well as the cold liquid foundation. He covered all of your face with it so you started to relax and thought that maybe he really knows what to do now.

However, when you opened your eyes and stared at your appearance on the camera, your eyes literally grew wide in shock. The foundation was the same shade as your skin tone but it was applied unevenly, some spots on your face has a heavier amount of foundation while the rest are light. “Babe!” you exclaimed right after having a full inspection.

“What? You look good, don’t worry I got this.” His words were definitely laced with confidence now, far from his fearful look earlier, thinking he could mess it up and you’ll get mad. “Okay, how about this, what if,” he places the sponge and the bottle of foundation on the table and faced you, “what if you close your eyes for the whole time while I apply your make-up? Judge it right after.” He suggested.

Your mouth fell open and you stared at the camera, looking dumbfounded, “Wow, this vlog really took a turn.” You could only say.

He laughed at that, a full belly laugh, the ones where his eyes are closed shut and his mouth were wide open, “What? That could work. Come on, close your eyes.”

You did close your eyes, then you started hearing him picking up some products from the counter.

“This one’s a small make-up, like it has small rectangles. See that?” he muttered, your eyes were still shut but you could imagine him talking to the camera, trying to give a review or opinion on your make-up. “So I’m guessing this is for the eyes, like an eye make-up. And for that,” he stayed quiet for a second, “it needs a small brush. I still don’t know if this is right but it’s okay, Y/N will judge afterwards.”

You felt a brush lightly touching your eyelids and you could only pray silently about the color he picked for your eyes. “Wow, lookin’ good!” he praised, you don’t know whether it was you who looks good, or his skills.

“This is a huge circle for a make-up, so I’m guessing this goes on the cheeks…. right?”

“Since it’s for the cheeks, this needs a huge, huge brush.”

He continued talking to himself, and you could only scrunch your nose when the large brush touched your nostrils. You felt ticklish but he still continued, he did say it was only for the cheeks but then he also tapped on your forehead and on the bridge of your nose.

“I think that’s it? Yeah, I had it all covered, right?” he started talking again as you heard a palette being placed back on the counter.

You heard him sigh, feeling his breath on the top of your head as you felt him near you. “I think I did a good job! She’ll love this look, I swear. And for the lipstick..” his trail went off again so you only imagined him looking at the lip products that you own.

“Y/N looks good every damn time with this lipstick, so I guess this is what I’ll be using.” He said and you immediately know that it was the lipstick that he loves. “Open your mouth, babe.” He instructed and then your mouth parted, with the way the lipstick was stroking on your lips says that he doesn’t really know how to apply lipstick, you let him finish his work anyway.

“God, I can’t wait to kiss you after filming this. You look really good with this stuff, I’m amazed.” You only smirked on his comment, thinking of showering his face with kisses since you’re wearing the lipstick that he likes the most.

“All done!” he announced, and you were really scared to open your eyes, to see your appearance on the camera.

“Babe.” He was laughing.

You opened your eyes and slowly turned your head to where the camera was, checking your face and the make-up that Chris did. “Jesus Christ.”

Chris started to laugh really loud at your reaction. You didn’t know if you should laugh it off or cry in the corner. Your eyelids were violet, the way it was applied is that it reached right beneath your eyebrows. Your blush, contour and highlight is a mixture of dark pink and dark brown that was topped off with glitters. It covered your whole cheeks which made you look like someone picked up a fight with you and managed to punch you both on the cheeks.

“Chris! What have you done!” there was a shock and mixed emotions in your voice but Chris only laughed even more at it.

“Babe, that’s art! It’s a masterpiece. My masterpiece.” He kept on praising himself as he continues to laugh, as tears slowly form on the side of his eyes, his face were all red now and he tried to wipe his eyes.

“It looked like someone punched me right on the face!” you exclaimed and moved away from the camera, attempting to throw the bar stool on him.

“Oh, my god. You’re right!” he laughed even harder at your annoyed expression, making it look like you really had a fist fight.

You faced the camera again, “Okay, as you can see already. This is the result of Chris’ masterpiece.” You emphasized on the masterpiece by quoting mid-air with your index and middle finger.

“That would be all for 50$, miss.” Chris told you when he stood by your side to properly end the video.

You gave him a disgusted look which only made him smirk, “That’s the end of the video, make sure to like and subscribe to my channel, guys!” you made a thumbs up hand sign and Chris did the same thing.

“For the next video, I’ll do a make-up vlog again but this time, I’m doing Chris’ make-up, along with acrylics and even a bonnet, and also hoop earrings. Like the ones in Twitter.” You tried to joke but then Chris turned his head immediately to you but your gaze remained on the camera.

“What?”

“What?” you mimicked him, “Alright! That’s all for today, thank you for watching I’m going to shave my boyfriend’s head now I swear to God.”

You approached the camera again and pressed on the stop button, and then you got right back on the counter to tidy things up and clean your brushes and the sponge. Chris was only staring at you as he stands on the door, crossed arms.

You gave him a look, “What?”

“Babe..” he called out, looking like he’s trying to stop himself from laughing since he just recovered from the last one. “… who hurt you?” that was when he snapped and started laughing all over again.

“CHRISTOPHER I SWEAR YOU’LL SLEEP ON THE COUCH TONIGHT.” You shouted at him but it did nothing on him, as he kept laughing even more.

interview: WOOSOO returns as solo singer ‘Because of You’

1.     How have you been, what are you occupied with lately?  

I’ve wrapped up my group’s activities and now I’m quite busy preparing for my solo album.

Since it’s the first time I’m showing music in my own style, I wanted to try various things and challenge myself. I’ve been making songs that I always thought of while working as a producer. I also took a new challenge by composing and writing the OST of a Korean drama.

I’m also enjoying leisure life that I had not been able to enjoy before, such as café tour, famous restaurant tour, etc. 

2.     It has been around 8 months since your last song release, how do you feel?

‘Because of You’ has a very different style from the previous song ‘The Rain’ (비가 내리면). Actually, ‘The Rain’ was made for MASC, so rather than saying it’s my solo work, it felt more like an extension of MASC. I think I’m making my first step as solo artist WOOSOO through ‘Because of You’.

I was very excited while preparing for this song and I’m very much looking forward to being able to show my music to the public with WOOSOO’s first solo.

3.     Please tell us about the song, ‘Because of You’. What do you want to share the most through this song?

‘Because of You’ is a song that blends the excitement of love with the R&B and soul feeling. It’s a song that expresses a heart fluttering feeling that something good will happen.

I think this song goes well with the upcoming spring.

Through this song, I wanted to appeal to the public that a singer called WOOSOO can do this type of music, and I wanted to share that my strengths and charms fit well with various music.

4.     Can you share interesting moments while shooting for the music video?

While filming for the music video, the producer and I were thinking “what kind of video would be good” and we decided that a pop-like live video would suit the most. The natural and friendly feeling.

The filming was held at an outdoor location, but since it was on the weekend, there’s so many people. Haha

A lot of people might have thought we were doing a performance, quite several people sat in front of us. They sat in groups, watched and listened, and they also took videos as if it was such a real performance.

In the middle of the video there are scenes where people pass by, but to pursue the naturalness feeling, there are many scenes where people pass by that we included without editing. I think it'll be fun to find those scenes. Hahaha

5.     What attracted you to music career and what made you decide to be a singer?

I like singing since I was young, and I like to stand in front of people and take the lead in doing something. When I was younger, I used to sing in school, on the streets, just everywhere I could. Since I couldn’t neglect my studies, I built my dreams by participating in singing contests and competitions and I was at my happiest when I sang in front of other people.

I’ve always had a lot of friends because I’ve always been sociable, but apart from that, I’ve always loved the eyes of the people watching the stage when I’m singing in the contests. So, I decided to become a singer.

6.     You have recently made your name as a composer and lyricist, what is the hardest challenge you face while writing a song?

I always have a lot of worries when it comes to work that requires creativity.

I’ve thoughts like, “I have to create something new”, “How do I express this through image directing”, “What would suit me well”.

I’ve started the music that I like through this solo, but I’m always concern about how much the public would like my music, and whether I can make music that many people can relate to with honest stories.

7.     What aspect of your music do you want people to focus on?

In addition to the image that I’ve shown as a group member, I’d like people to focus on how diverse and challenging the singer WOOSOO is as a solo artist. How talented I am in making good music that the public can feel happy when they listen to my songs, sympathize with sadness, and feel the joy and sorrow.

But this time, I metaphorically expressed the excitement of spring and the feelings of love.

8.     What impression do you think you give when you first meet someone?

When I was promoting as a team, just by looking at me without having any conversations, lots of people think I’m scary, difficult and edgy person. I think the reason was because since I hold the pillar in the position of a leader who takes care of many members, I thought more of the team rather of my own self. But once we started talking, they said I’m friendly and humorous.

Nowadays, I heard a lot of things like, “You’re friendlier than others” and “I want to befriend you”.

I tend to pursue natural things. For example, I prefer small shops in the neighborhood rather than large supermarkets.

That’s why I enjoy doing internet broadcast. There, I love to talk to people comfortably like a friend, not as an artist or entertainer.

9.     You have been actively communicating with your fans through social media and online live apps, what is the first thing that you would you like to do when you can meet with your fans face-to-face?

I want to say thank you and hug all the fans who waited for me. It was such a short time, but a lot of things happened over the years.

There are more people who waited for WOOSOO than I thought. It’ll be great to have a performance with my fans, but I’m thinking having a face-to-face talk with them over delicious meal would be great as well.

And of course, it’d be great to share my new challenges and music with all of you!

There are still many fans that I haven't met, I want to meet fans from various countries.

10.  What is your proudest and happiest moment as a singer?

My happiest moment as a singer is that there are fans who listen to my music.

“I gained strength through your music”, “I’m WOOSOO’s long-time fan”, “He’s a great singer”, when I hear those kinds of words, it really makes me very happy.

If there is at least one fan who loves my music and supports me, I’ll do my best until the end.

11.  What if you can achieve another dream other than music?

I have a lot of interest in fashion, so I thought about being a fashion designer, and I think it's good to have a job where I can deal with people because I like meeting people.

Recently, my dream is to open a small cafe and meet various people to communicate and create a fun space. (It's a secret that I'm recently learning to make bread~ haha)

12.  If you could snap your fingers and instantly make the world better, what would you do?

I think the most difficult thing right now is that many people around the world are suffering from health and psychological anxiety caused by the virus.

Many people are having a hard time, losing their jobs. Korean singers are having a hard time too, I want to get rid of the virus right away. I want to go back to the days when there was no Corona.

I'm praying and hoping to meet a lot of fans again.

13.  To the people who just got to know WOOSOO, what is the best way for them to get to know you better?

I upload photos and videos about my daily life on Instagram. YouTube is not up yet, but I'm going to start soon, to do covers or various music for many people. I'm making lots of efforts to meet many fans.

Usually, they can get to know me through live broadcast on the Internet. But I haven't been able to do it recently because I'm busy. But I'm going to communicate with many people through internet broadcasts again soon. (Of course, I like doing games broadcasts too. Haha)

14.  Any projects that your fans can look forward to in the near future?

My plan now is to release a new album every month. Once the Corona is over and we can travel just like before, I want to let you listen to variety of songs. But in the meantime, I’m planning to release many songs.

The J2 fans are lashing out the Chicon hellers, but some idiots want to fight back.

My favourite con panel footage uploader, Gayle filmed the Chicon panel.  In the comment section, the J2 fans were livid.  The reason was because J2 had to deal with two very irritating fans.  The first one was about the Castiel Winchester question.  That laugh out loud question is likely to get to get famous like the Dr Sexy one.  Basically the fan wanted to know if Castiel's initials will be added to the table.  Jared said no, because Castiel is not a Winchester.  True that.  Jensen said the initials should be added to a chair, so it can be easily removed. 

The Cas cosplayer listening in, was getting livid, and decided she is going to be rude to Jensen and Jared.  Everyone in audience noticed it, which is why a fan thanked J2 sincerely for their time and effort and selfless love of the fans.  Viewers also flinched at the Cas girl's tone, and the comment section was in a uproar over those two entitled witches.  I am glad that most of those fans bashed the hellers and Cas specifically.  No one was holding back.  Some idiot, whom I have dealt with too many times, previously, went to each comment telling the fans how they were toxic and people can interpret whatever they want and this fandom is supposed to be about love and all that bullshit.  Meet the dweeb.  Catt Is A Nerd.

So I confronted her, and she gave me the same drivel.  You can make a checklist of all the bullshit she says that puts her in hellerminion category.  Fake Jared fan? - check.  Doesn't ship destiel? - check.  Labels criticism ''hate'' to dismiss it? - check.  Swears up and down that Jensen and Jared love Misha even though they just bashed him? - check.

I pointed out to her that for a Jared fan, she is always seen fighting for people who hate Jared and constantly tweet him that they are praying for him to die.  I told her about all the threats, including the death threats.  This is what she writes. 

I dealt with this idiot before and remember telling her years ago about the deaths.  She had a ''no-biggie'' attitude about it then.  And now her memory is wiped out.  So I decided this post was in order.  The minute I pointed my intention to post, she freaked and shut up.  She is on tumblr, but I cant access the blog from YouTube.  Tumbler isn't allowing me.  I think she blocked me alreadly.  After that, some other idiot took over.  Her name is Kirby.  This one made me laugh. 

So she is going to tell her relative to report me for putting Catt's bullshit on Tumblr.  I told her to go ahead.  I will just add her as well, because something told me she was a liar.  She must have been stunned.  Then she wrote this. 

So not only does she know someone who works on YouTube.  She knows Jensen, Jared and Misha.  This girl is indeed blessed.  Eventually she told me that she had attended a con and that's how she knows them.  I found her lower down on the page, lying about Nolacon.  This is the quality of fans Misha has.  Liars, exaggerators and excusers of borderline criminal behavior.  Fun fact:  she hasn't reported me yet.  Maybe because she can't.

The same outburst from J2 fans are on other pages.  The bibros are out in full force and I am relieved.  The arena will be full of hellers soon, but at least I got to see this side of the bibros.  It made me happy.

How Streaming services and youtube are taking over modern day tv:

I mean when was the last time you turned on your tv, I mean it’s probably on all day every day right but are you watching actual tv and unless your over fifty I think theres a big chance the answer is no.

When I ask someone what they’re watching on there tv there answer is simply Netflix or Youtube or something other streaming platform but what exactly is Netflix and let’s actually take a second to look at its dominance.

Netflix is an American streaming platform founded in 1997 in Scotts valley, California by Reed Hastings and Marc Randolph, on this platform there is a enormous library of films, series’s and Netflix original’s.

Its available worldwide bar a few countries due to political reasons, grossing 24.96 billion dollars last year with around 203 million paying users that’s about the entire population of England, France and Germany combined, if we keep it uk focused with the population of 66 million in that figure 15 million have a paid Netflix account averaging 1/4.5 people which is crazy considering that most people share accounts too.

The reason for Netflix’s dominance in my opinion is due to many things, the interface is so easy to navigate giving you genres and recommendations based on previously watched content and also a simple search bar, the variety of content is unmatched from kids to +18 movies and series’s available in a multitude of different languages and also translation and subtitles on almost everything.

And in my opinion the main reason for there success is there Netflix originals as there only available to watch on Netflix, the success of shows such as Stranger Things, 13 reasons why, black mirror, You, Money Heist (La Casa de papel) …. Etc makes a Netflix subscription a must have.

However Netflix although currently unmatched are starting to face stiff competition form the likes of Amazon Prime and Disney+, Amazon prime might sound confusing as Amazon is usually the delivery service and prime being the option for next day delivery however in recent years they begun taking there streaming service seriously also by making amazon exclusive Films and Series’s and securing the rights to hundreds of popular movies and elite shows like Vikings.

Disney+ however is a relatively new streaming service which was only launched 15 months ago and has already amassed a whopping 95 million paid subscribers which is almost half of what Netflix has despite Netflix being 21 years older, and this success is due to the fact everyone loves Disney and is also the parent company of two of the most popular franchises in TV history in Start Wars and Marvel, and they started of right with a Star Wars exclusive in the Mandalorian and now debuted one of three marvel tv shows announced in Wanda Vision on top of that they have every Disney movie ever made which includes some of the biggest movies of all time like Frozen, Home Alone and Cars. If I has to bet on any service dethroning Netflix at the top Disney+ is definitely the one.

The only thing that is really going for “Normal TV” at the moment is live sports as personally for me it’s the only reason I have actual channels, and that probably explains why the TV right for live sports are so expensive, some of the numbers are stupid.

Just from UK based Sky and BT alone pay over three billion pounds a season for rights to showcase there matches and the premier league are believed to actually bank 5.5 billion globally when you include other companies, ESPN pay the NFL 1.9 billion dollars a season for there rights, with ESPN, ABC, and Turner Sports paying 2.7 billion dollars a year for the NBA.

No tv shows or anything else on TV even comes close to these figures and that’s why I think that if it wasn’t for live sports “Normal TV” would be dead.

Even networks like BBC and ITV have realised this starting there own streaming services in BBC iPlayer and ITV HUB respectively showcasing all there programs on there essentially for free however to access the BBC iPlayer you need to have paid the £165 tv license fee however, even a 5 year old can get around by literally just lying when they ask as theres no verification process whatsoever.

The major issue approaching for “Normal TV” is that even Live sports are realising this and are looking into streaming services with many already making the switch, think of WWE despite having multi billion dollar deals with USA network and FOX respectively there main shows are all shown on the WWE network from there pay per views to there documentaries to a library of classic event and matches and guess what its been extremely successful for them and you can’t be surprised, with 1.5 million paid subscribers and an annual revenue in the millions.

UFC are also trying something similar with UFC fight pass broadcasting lots of different fighting promotions and also a library similar to WWE’s where you get historic fights and events and anything fighting related you want to watch really.

However most of the UFC pay per views are actually on another streaming service and probably the most successful sport streaming service in the US in ESPN+ with 11.5 million paid subscribers funny enough also owned by Disney, ESPN+ showcases live UFC PPV events for a discounted price, live Major League Baseball, Major league soccer, National hockey league and much more.

Another thriving sports service is DAZN which is currently the main destination if you’re looking for boxing as its become the main sponsor and partner of Match room Boxing showcasing fights like Anthony Joshua vs Andy Ruiz jr in over 200 countries worldwide, DAZN also shows tons of other sports including Football, Cricket and basketball making it a way more diverse platform then ESPN+ however is lacking the big brand behind it.

This leads to another blow to “Normal TV” as it brings the slow death of PPV, pay per view is a service where a spectator can purchase events to view privately whilst the broadcaster shows the event at the same time to everyone ordering it.

However PPV is dying as it’s always been expensive paying around £40-£90 per event however nowadays that’s no longer the case for example WWE pay per views happen once a month however if you have the WWE Network you watch the PPV for free so instead of paying around £50 for the event, you pay £9.99 for the monthly subscription.

Same thing goes with boxing as most fight are on DAZN or ESPN+ so why would you pay for the PPV instead of $19.99 or $4.99 respectively.

The only ones that really still use the PPV system is The UFC but like I mentioned before with ESPN+ you get a discount, however UFC president Dana White has spoke multiple times about making UFC PPV’s fight pass exclusive.

Now lets move on to the holy grail of them all and that’s YouTube, and why is that you may ask ? Well simply because it’s free you don’t have to pay a penny to watch youtube, well you do sit through a few Add’s here and there however you get the watch all your favourite content for free.

Well I highly doubt it but if you’ve never heard of Youtube, it’s an online video sharing platform owned by google and the second most visited website in the world, its available worldwide bar a few countries again for political reasons with an estimated 2 billion daily users grossing around 15 billion dollars a year Available content includes video clips, TV show clips, music videos, short and documentary films, audio recordings, movie trailers, live streams, video blogging, short original videos, and educational videos.

Basically it has everything you need and more, and the impact it has on this generation is immense you can just pick up a camera talk and upload it and have the Internet do the rest, it helps as its an easy way to exercise freedom of speech by sharing political views.

Kids nowadays don’t re want to watch TV they would rather watch they’re favourite YouTuber, they grow up idolising people like KSI, Pewdiepie, and Ssniperwolf. These you-tubers literally have the power to influence a generation as people who consider themselves fans would do anything for them.

Unfortunately sometimes they take it too far like back in 2019 PewDiePie was battling it out with T-series on youtube for the n*1 subscribed YouTube channel But what happen next can never be expected a terrorist unleashed fire on a mosque killing 50 people and writing subscribe to PewDiePie on the wall, the Terrorist was definitely an Islamophobe but he thought it would be a good idea to help PewDiePie as he knew that this would generate lots of attention and bring lots of light on PewDiePie’s channel.

PewDiePie later condemned his actions describing it as a terrible incident that he prays never happens again and essentially gave up on the battle with T series and stoped the subscribe to PewDiePie meme.

Another incident where fans have got out of hand is with popular YouTuber Roman Atwood where he’s had to deal with a stalker for years and even had to get the FBI involved As the stalker Would threaten him and his family, change there mail address, Hack into the security cameras and take pictures and send them to the family and even call in a false Bomb threat to a family funeral.

However YouTubers still have the power To manipulate and influence certain things by Just shining a light on them they can increase the value and inflate a certain market. And example of this is when YouTuber Logan Paul who has recently been making Pokémon content where he opens 22-year-old packs which are worth a ton of money to try and pack certain rare Pokémon cards and the rarest of them cards is a PSA 10 1st edition base set Charizard and before Logan Paul Was doing the Pokémon stuff a Charizard was worth around $250,000 however now a Charizard is worth around 3 quarters of a $1 million. And all type of Pokémon prices have gone up, he has basically made Pokémon popular again and it seems to be the talk of YouTube.

YouTube, Netflix and all other streaming services have really killed off classic TV And they have way more influence than classical TV ever had and the scary thing is this is just the beginning.

The two trainees managed to film this together while back during their independent study time at the sphere building. They talk about doing a song together during their talk at the sphere trainees karaoke night while everyone laughing and joking as belt out tunes badly. The set up of the video was quite sweet and simple as Minhee wanted to capture the innocent aesthetic. The camera was aiming at a white bench which placed against the windows giving it a nice clear pure view. 

Minhee kept her outfit to the theme of the video as the style was pretty much similar to what she already had in her closet. A white jumper with a pink dress over the top as the weather was cold during the filming time. The female sat on the white bench next to Seungcheol before using the remote to start filming, she made herself comfortable even though there only small space between each of them with her body sitting at angle directing towards Seuncheol.  It was kinda of exciting yet nervous at same times. This song and this video really focus on her vocal ability at least she won’t be alone on this as she did have Seungcheol to lean on for support. Will she be able to handle it or crack under the pressure??

The female took a deep breath sending thumbs up over at her singing partner trying not let the nerves get to her before starts singing towards the camera together with Seungcheol before tapping her two fingers on her lap to the beat of the song. Minhee sang the song in her usual soft tone of voice while looking somewhat bashful as she smiles to herself while rubbing her middle along her bottom lip before her expression seems confused as she didn’t understand why always smile when thought about him then tapped her chest a few times to match the lyrics.

It was time to hear Seungcheol sing as she quite curious if whether he would stutter while singing or not. Minhee is pleasantly surprised by the boy’s smooth vocals, he’s pretty talented, not only he can sing but also rap. That is pretty amazing, she hopes when he debuts that he would gather a lot of fans and people would admire him a lot. He deserves the recognition and only prays that he won’t be overlooked due to other boys in the groups. The words to this song were really sweet, it just sounded sweeter when Seungcheol sang them next to her.

The funny irony of when she sang about giving her number to him, the truth was that she kind did that but on their second meeting not the first. Minhee tried not laugh at the thought as starts singing towards of the camera as playfully added some aegyo directing at the singing partner placing her hand on her heart as felt it racing cause of adrenaline running through her body which is only possible reason. It was easy to sing such sweet lyrics to Cheol as she did genuine enjoy spending time with her dongsaeng. She did feel happy when sees him so it was so simple to sing the words honestly without really thinking about it.

Minhee happily sway to the music while listening to Seungcheol voice intently as she taps her thighs to the rhythm while happily smiling to herself letting the younger sing his heart out. The nerves she felt at beginning as seems to melt away not really worried about anything as enjoy the moment while watch the other sing knowing that it will be her turn soon to response to him through lyrics of the song. This song is one of favourites so it was nice to sing it with someone who care about and nice company to be with.

Swept in the emotion of the song as the story gets closer closer towards the end, it seem their voices go back on forth. Minhee play the role of bewitched love sick puppy who’s trying to figure out her true feelings for the boy. She sings to Seungcheol looking into his eyes then looks away bashful sense as sang into the camera like telling the thoughts to the viewer. It sounded so nice hearing his voice after lines in the soft melody behind them. She really did enjoy working with others in collaborations especially ones who’s see as her friends too.

This was it, Minhee really had to up her game now, it was time really test those singing lessons and put them to good use. The female begins to sing the lines with more passion than before while her eyes were on her singing partner. She bite her lip slightly at the nerves magically appear again as she knew there was high note coming up soon. Minhee look away as look into the camera with nervous look in her eyes while giving a shot of hitting that high note, thankfully it suited the line as she was singing whether or not should she confess or not. In reality, even had feelings for Cheol, she was certainly too old for him in a way so she could use that too. It wouldn’t be wise decision.

The song truly emotional roller-coaster as the song started off two people not sure on what their feelings were to debating whether to confess to this is last chorus leading up the finale. Minhee keep her eyes on the male singer as she follow after Seungcheol vocals. She listen to every word, this song really made her feel so warm and fuzzy inside. Usually, anything to do lovey dovey, she was totally against it, Minhee is true romantic at heart.

This was it, the final verse, the final confession. It was Seungcheol to take the lead on this one while Minhee listen to his voice in awe while added little small embellishments here and there. Nothing too fancy as she was no amazing ballad singer like Eve or Soojung. Before their voices came together in sweet harmony as sing the words from her heart then slowly Minhee head on the younger shoulder for the ending pose of the song, her face scrunched up playfully before giggling as it was relief to finish the song at last. The video fades out into white screen before light pink writing appears saying ‘have lovely day xoxo’

1st lesson of 2018: It’s (Clout over Basic Decency) Everyday, Bro

CONTENT/TRIGGER WARNING: MENTIONS OF SUICIDE, DEATH & MENTAL HEALTH

For those who have no idea about who this generic American high school jock-looking guy is, the guy above is Logan Paul, an American Youtuber and “actor” notorious for having a obnoxious personality, an even more annoying brother and an equally brainwashed “Logang” consisting of children and pre-teens.

On the 31st December 2017, he uploaded a vlog where him and his friends went to the Aokigahara forest of Japan (also known as the Suicide Forest)  and filmed their “spooky adventure”. During this 15 minute vlog, he stumbles upon a dead body hanging from a tree, films it up close, focusing on certain bits of the corpse & make jokes on it, and uploads it to YouTube for millions of underaged fans to see. In other words, he had no consideration for the culture & laws of the country he was visiting, nor for those who could potentially have flashbacks or suicidal thoughts from this video, and certainly not even for the dead.  As expected, this has garnered a ton of backlash from Japanese & non Japanese people alike, especially those from the YouTube & mental health community and suicide/self-harm survivors or those who have lost someone to suicide. This lead to Paul issuing two apologies on Twitter and YouTube, which seemed incredibly insincere to many. After all, if you have to issue a second apology because you mentioned how you get views & film for 460+ days more than the word “Sorry” and end it with “Peace ✌️ #logang4life”, you bet no-one is going to take your second one that seriously. 

However, what was more harrowing than his actions, were his fanbase that were defending those actions. I can’t blame them, they’re children & they don’t know better. However, despite the fact that their idol told them specifically in his second apology not to defend his actions, they completely ignore that very statement & go on to post many bizarre reasons as to why people should “just let it go” and why they shall forever stan Logan. They even go on to spread xenophobic hate on people who criticise him (case in example, Reina Scully).  Some examples of things I’ve seen in this video is “He’s human like the rest of us. Everybody makes mistakes”, “Can we stop all of the hate, it’s a new year!!”, “It’s not like he killed someone” and even someone saying “That dead body should be lucky that he appeared in Logan Paul’s video” Little do they know, they are completely belittling the fact that a person, who seemed like he was stuck in his completely dark and abysmal mind, took his life, and how his loved ones now have to deal with the repercussions of bereavement and loss; and that another person saw that as an opportunity for exploitation & a joke. They make death seem like a joke, just like their idol did. Which is why I have a few points to address:

Dear #Logang or Logangsters or whatever the hell you’re called,

I understand personally what it’s like to be infatuated with a celebrity. I get a certain light, happy feeling whenever I see my favourite celebrity & I think to myself “Yeah, this person is literally gold!” You also probably get this feeling on a frequent basis whenever you see Logan. I also understand that being part of a fandom makes you feel a sense of belonging & unity. But ask yourselves this. What drew you to this guy? Why do you enjoy his videos?

Is it because he’s attractive? (which in that case, they’re plenty more fish in the sea) Is it because he’s a “maverick” and “living life to the fullest”? Is it because he “appreciates” his fans and the people around him?

The reason why I ask you this is because I really want you to consider his actions. See, whenever you are obsessed with a celebrity, it’s easy to throw moral compass out of the window; it’s easy to forget what’s right and what’s wrong. However, you cannot deny the fact that it is common sense to not film a dead body and to make jokes about it, irrespective of what your coping mechanism is. Even if you have a tiny lapse of judgement, people would have the sensibility not to edit that footage and upload it with a clickbait title for your cult of 15 million children to see. It’s also common sense to not run around a foreign country, disturb its people and nature & treat it as if it’s your playground. I cannot, for the life of me, understand how you find disrespect funny? As far as “living life” is concerned, I’m pretty happy sitting down and leading a calm “boring” life rather than be an obnoxious inconvenience to those surrounding me.

“But.. he’s human?? Haven’t we all done mistakes?” Let me educate you on what a mistake is. It’s stepping on the back on someone’s shoe whilst walking (I should know about that). It’s occasionally forgetting the odd birthday. It’s accidentally spilling something; in other words, something small & occasionally forgiven. However, being disrespected, even after your death, is something the majority of people can’t tolerate. On top of that, he’s a 22 year old, fully developed adult who has the ability to differentiate right from wrong; He isn’t a kid who needs people to constantly educate him on social etiquette and sensibility. He saw an insensitive bait for views, he took it, he screwed up, and now he needs to be held accountable. 

“He just wanted to raise awareness about suicide. Doesn’t that make him good?” This video had the same impact as “13 Reasons Why”. The complete opposite.                                                                                          There are several other ways to raise awareness about suicide, other than going all the way to a suicide forest to exploit someone’s death for views; Sitting down & thoroughly explaining why mental health should be a top priority, explaining the effects of going through suicidal thoughts, self-harm & mental illnesses, and providing resources & helplines to help those who are distraught is more convenient, correct and cheaper (but why do that when you’re an obnoxious brat with a couple of thousands of dollars & yes men to spare?)

“I’ve forgiven him. At least he’s said sorry”   Please, spare me the naivety. To be frank, his apologies (if you would like to call it that) is the equivalent of saying sorry after shooting someone in the leg. If this guy wasn’t a celebrity & if this didn’t get the backlash it received, he would have slithered away in his anonymity. Another reason why he’s apologising is because he wants to salvage the tiny amount of respect that he has so that he can guilt-trip you into liking him again. One of my favourite YouTubers, Nathan Zed, once said in a video that “You have a choice. Entertain & educate, or entertain & manipulate”  It doesn’t take a donkey to realise that Logan is doing the latter. As one tweet rightfully put it, he views you the same way as he sees that dead body: as a way to earn money. Please listen to yourself.

Even to the parents of these children, you have an equal responsibility of monitoring your child’s internet access. In fact, you have a larger responsibility of monitoring what content your child sees, since YouTube are failing to fulfil that very responsibility (with many examples of inappropriate content related to child exploitation on the YouTube kids app not being taken down). I’m not a parent myself, hence I have zero rights to talk about parenting, but all I know is that if my younger loved ones were watching these kind of people that encourage them to forget all human etiquette & join their “cult”, I would tell them to think about the consequences that their actions could face. And possibly break their device & delete their accounts while I’m at it.

You may choose to ignore my advice (after all, it’s mostly a free world and you can choose whatever you want to do). You can “dab” on me like I’m a hater. But when you choose to condone the actions of a celebrity who self-admittedly screwed up royally, and when you look back at this ten or fifteen years later, you would probably think “What the hell was I thinking?” If you think about it, for one person who spouts blatant and shameless ignorance about such sensitive issues, there would be another person who would be thinking that their death would bring nothing but a sigh of relief to those around them and choose to leave. I hope and pray for nothing but that you educate yourselves and become more aware of the effects of depression and suicide. Because as far as I know, if we take out the time to listen and empathise with those who are suffering with such illnesses and lend them a hand, I swear that you could give someone a reason to smile and to live (and to possibly do something Logan Paul couldn’t do, even if he tried). And if this is the generation we could become, then would raise my head high and be proud to be part of this.

Last but not the least, to those who are surviving these dark moments. Please get yourselves the help that you need (I will be reblogging some hotlines, websites and resources as soon as I upload this). I, along with all of the people of this world, have no idea how tomorrow would turn out, but the only way you could know is by being there. And regardless of how tomorrow turns out, I would certainly welcome you with open arms and stand by you.

PS: By the time this post comes out, you would have probably found out that Youtube has severed certain ties with Logan Paul. But considering that him and his brother are still trying to gain sympathy (and subscribers), his head won’t be coming out of his arse any time soon. So please still think about who and what you’re watching.

Region B Wishlist

Whenever I used to visit Amoeba Music on Sunset Blvd (which was at least once a month, 2016 through 2017), I’d make a beeline for the staircase, up up and away to the movie department. Directly to my right at the top of the staircase, in a display rack stretching the entire length of the floor, sat a single column of movies known to me as the “non-Region A” section. I could rely on the movies lurking in this small section to turn my eyes green with envy: a gorgeous Region B Blu-ray of Possession, the Vanessa Redgrave vehicle Isadora, and several other movies that seemed like the stuff my dreams were made of. Unfortunately, at the time, I had yet to invest in a region-free Blu-ray player, so that section of movies taunted me on my monthly visits to Amoeba, as I’m sure they do to many movie fans that lack the proper technology to play them.

For those uninitiated into the world of movie collecting, different regions of the world have differently coded discs that only play in that region’s disc players. Back in DVD’s heyday, that consisted of Region 1, 2, and 3. Now, in the age of Blu-ray, those regions are alphabetical rather than numerical: A, B, and C. Region A discs play in the Americas and some countries in Southeast Asia, including Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan. Region B discs play in Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Australia, and New Zealand. Region C discs play in any Asian countries not covered by Region A. Film copyright holders like region coding because they want to control when movies are available in specific countries. (I assume because they can make more money if they sell the American, European, and Asian distribution rights separately.) 

Movie collectors, however, hate region coding. Which is why I finally splurged on my region-free Blu-ray player. I bought my first Region B discs online at Foreign Exchange Blu-ray Imports, a neat store in Culver City, California with reasonable prices and an online catalog. I picked up Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger’s adaptation of the opera Tales of Hoffmann from StudioCanal and the Vincent Price camp horror classic The Abominable Dr. Phibes from Arrow Video. 

While I’m thrilled that I can now watch movies unavailable to the majority of casual viewers in the United States, I still hope and pray for Region A releases of the following five gems, both for simplicity’s sake and to better keep these films accessible to future appreciative audiences.

Martin, 1978, directed by George A. Romero

Martin is a disturbing little film shot in the Pittsburgh suburbs about a maybe-vampire teenage boy, who looks an awful lot like a Sprouse twin. (So maybe Cole and Dylan are the real vampires?) With black and white fantasy sequences, the gruesome reality of Martin’s vampiric conquests contrasts with his internal, romanticized version of events.

Arrow Video released a Region B DVD a few years ago, though it’s now out of print. Diabolik DVD had a Japanese Region A disc available for a time, though it sold out quickly. I hope that Martin’s copyright hell freezes over, because I would freak out for a Region A Blu-ray that I don’t have to scramble to pre-order online before it sells out. In the meantime, you can watch the movie on YouTube until legal means become available:

Napoleon, 1927, directed by Abel Gance

I probably could write several articles about the various silent films no longer available on disc in North America. (I’m still waiting for the latest restoration of Mauritz Stiller’s Saga of Gosta Berling to make its physical media debut, now that the Kino Lorber DVD is out of print.) I am planning to invest in the BFI’s Region B Blu-ray of Abel Gance’s Napoleon sooner rather than later, both because of its historical significance and the care that went into restoring it. Kevin Brownlow, film historian and author of such tomes as The Parade’s Gone By…, spent 20 years painstakingly piecing Napoleon back together and continues to discover and restore missing scenes to this day. Gance shot the final reels of Napoleon using innovative Polyvision technology, which means that the film requires three projectors to play three separate reels side-by-side for the ultimate in widescreen presentation.

Isadora, 1968, directed by Karel Reisz

I only watched the biopic Isadora thanks to a Korean copy available at my once-upon-a-time local video store in South Pasadena, Videotheque. (Visit them online here.) The sound was a bit shrill, but the image looked decent and I still enjoyed the stunning performance from a young Vanessa Redgrave as the groundbreaking dancer Isadora Duncan. The movie also features a cameo from early Hollywood star Bessie Love as Isadora’s mother.

Isadora would make a great double feature with the more recent film, The Dancer, giving a contrasting depiction of what it personally means to be an artist and a dancer: for Isadora, it’s a fancy-free attitude and imagination, for Loie Fuller, it was back-breaking work and determination. (Though Lily Rose Depp as Isadora is a disgrace, Soko slays as Loie Fuller.) I’m unaware of any plans to make Isadora widely available in North America, but you can find clips on YouTube to get a taste of what we’re missing out on.

The Devils, 1971, Ken Russell

I won’t go into much detail on this movie, because you can already read about my previous experience with The Devils here. The BFI sells a special edition DVD on their website and several streaming platforms offer it to stream intermittently, like the Criterion Channel and Shudder, but America has yet to see an official DVD or Blu-ray release of Ken Russell’s controversial tale of religious hysteria and hypocrisy.

Leather Boys, 1964, Sidney J. Furie

I saw Leather Boys at Cinefamily (before I found out it was a haven for abusers), followed by a Q&A with the director, who blessed our ears with wisdom like, “The sun is the enemy of art,” when encouraging aspiring filmmakers to shoot in cloudy locations. Leather Boys grapples with marriage and sexual identity issues in a gentle way while also making room for the audience to laugh at the naivety and passion of adolescence. I returned home that night eager to share the film with others. Unfortunately, I was not able to find it available anywhere on physical media. I’m not above watching a movie free online when I have no other options, but I’m both a movie lover and collector and can’t stand that I can’t add Leather Boys to my collection, to rewatch at my leisure and share with my friends and family. Luckily, someone uploaded it to YouTube and you can watch the whole film here:

Episode Recap of "Triple Date Night"

Season 4, Episode 2 - June 12, 2017

"Ben, Derick and Austin spend an afternoon at a trampoline park as Jessa, Jill and Joy search for the perfect date-night outfit. Meanwhile, Jill and Derick share big news with Israel; and Jinger and Jeremy settle into married life in Texas."

Let's all travel back in time to those days before Joy was married (an hour before this aired) and start airing courting shows just to confuse everyone. TLC's policy is to make its audience dizzy so they won't notice all the gay hate and female bondage going on with the Duggar cult.  

1. I'm watching the YouTube version of this episode where the Duggars' voices are all made deep as Darth Vader as a way to try to fly under the illegal upload radar. Jill and Joy sound so masculine and already deep voice Jeremy sounds like he's strangling to death. Those points may be what keeps me awake for this recap.

2. Jill, Jessa and Joy decide to go on a triple date with their boy toys. One of the opening shots is a toothbrush holder with dozens of brushes grouped together. I thought these girls had some medical training. Those toothbrushes prove they try to pray away the germs instead of using common sense. They pull out a clothes rack filled with $2 thrift store finds to wear for the date. They talk about clothes and style and that's about it. Austin is asked about Joy's style and he does the right thing by just saying, "I love it." Good boy! Joy says she's starting to wear dresses because Austin likes them. If Austin likes dresses let him wear them! He already said he loves your style so who gives a crap what he likes. Jessa gets onto the topic of her pregnancy with Hankster. This was filmed last fall or early winter before his birth. Jessa mentions, for the first time, that she has regular prenatal care. Amen! Hallelujah! We were never sure about that but I hope she means by a real doctor and not her unlicensed midwife friend. They talk about keeping the baby's gender a secret even though Hank, a boy, has been on earth for four months now. I think the secret is out. Five minutes in and we're still at the clothes rack. Jill says she'll wear whatever fits and doesn't make her sick. Jessa is confused about sick inducing clothing but I'm guessing Jill is in the early stages of pregnancy and hasn't told anyone yet. Jessa just thinks Jill is loony like the rest of us. After all that time at the clothes rack finding nothing the girls decide to go to town with the camera crew and leave the babies with grandma. How sweet of them. Grandma can barely walk but she can watch two very active toddlers. Way to go girls! How sensitive!

3. JinJer are in Laredo cooking. Jinger makes breakfast. Jeremy gets the coffee. Jeremy eats. Jinger is very quiet. Jeremy finishes his food and says he's gonna hit the books. Jinger says she has a lot of laundry to do. That's about it. They are both boring as hell! Jeremy says he does most of his pastoring research and writing at home which I guess is to keep an eye on Jinger and to take advantage of the always being available marital rape crap that Jinger has been brainwashed to think is okay. Jinger is allowed to leave the apartment by herself to drag all the laundry downstairs. I'm betting she is only allowed because the camera crew was with her. Jeremy later goes with her to collect the laundry. I guess he has to make sure it was done right before its allowed back in the apartment. What does Jinger do all day in that apartment with Jeremy underfoot? What a sad existence.

4. Jill, Jessa and Joy are now in a store looking through clothes racks. Jessa suggests some leather for Joy and she says she's not really into it. I bet some of Josh's side ladies were. Joy finally tries on a dress and comes out of the dressing room with that ugly mustard cardigan. Did she have that thing stuffed into her purse? I'm not sure if she ever bought anything but she didn't seem thrilled at all with the choices. Why? Because that is not Joy. They're trying to force nicer clothes on her because she's got a boy to please but what truly pleases Joy? Not this.

5. Time for the Duggar dumb boys talking head moment of the week. The producer asks them to name some fabrics and with utter surprise Josiah names spandex. Josiah has either been experimenting or talking to Josh too much. Jeer wins the dumbie award of the week with the fabric called "scarlet". Congrats, Jeer!

6. Back to sickly Derick and his gag problem. Again!? Didn't I complain enough the last time you filmed Derick puking? STOP IT!!!! Yes, we all know Derick is sickly but you don't have to show it. Old clips of scandalous Dr. Fedosky are shown again checking out Derick. People can comment below on Fedosky's history. It's not good. Hopefully he's clean now. Derick is then shown going to a female allergist. Yay, for an educated woman in this show. It's a rare occurrence.  Maybe she can smack some sense into him. It's found out that Derick has a ton of allergies including milk and nuts and he's never been tested before??? Dr. Merritt thinks his esophagus is spasming.  She wants to test him on some meds before he goes back to El Salvador and Derick seems unsure when he is going back. Whenever he can grift enough money from the gullible, I guess. Derick has suffered from seasonal and food allergies for over a decade. His palate, jaw and teeth were neglected as a kid. Where was his mom when it came to her son's medical needs? Maybe it's not her fault. Maybe Derick refused to get medical and dental treatment, but seriously! Why is Derick such a mess?

7. As the girls shop and grandma babysits, Austin, Ben and Derick go to a trampoline park to play. Derick promises to not puke in the trampoline park. That's always nice to hear before hanging out with that dude. Austin and Ben prove to be pretty athletic at the park. Derick flails around like a rag doll. The guys sit and talk after exhausting themselves jumping. Austin comes off as more mature than Derick and Ben. Ben talks about Austin having a job which is something Ben doesn't talk about himself. He has a job working for the Godbobber and once lied about being a real estate broker.  Derick talks about Austin being self-sufficient which Derick has no clue about since others are funding his life. I hope Austin went home and realized that he is way ahead of those two dumb-nuts.

*Time for the Duggar dumb boys talking head moment of the week part 2. The trampoline park referee tells the boys to not do certain moves because, I assume, they're dangerous. The producer asks the Duggar boys and Jessa about these moves and for once they're surprisingly not ignorant. They know exactly what these moves are that they are not supposed to do. We've seen many photos of the Duggars going to this trampoline park. I'm sure they've been warned about not doing these moves but I get the feeling the smug Duggars who don't like to follow rules from secular places break them all the time. Their smirks throughout this talking head pretty much prove it.  

8. Austin arrives for the triple date. Joy picked a dress and Jill is late because she's not feeling well. The girls act like they have no clue why she isn't feeling well. We all know they track each other's cycles and share pee pee sticks. They know. Joy can't find a shoe and asks Hannie and Jenni to help find it but they don't listen too well and move like snails so Joy ends up walking down the stairs to Austin in one shoe and one extremely filthy bare foot. Maybe the filthy feet these girls often have is to discourage foot fetishes. We wouldn't want to Josh up a new beau. Joy eventually finds the other shoe and Jill arrives. Time to party!!!

9. This is the most boring party ever!!! Jill is suffering from pregnancy sickness so she dictates what Derick can eat. I just know by the end of the night one of the Dillards is going to be puking in the parking lot. They chat about nothing and eat and then leave. All that prep for nothing.

10. Cut to the Dillard's House as the subtitle says but it's not really their mcmansion. It's Jim Bob's. He owns Derick. I wonder which Dillard donor purchased that North Face jacket Derick was wearing at dinner. Derjill attempts to tell a 19 month old that he's going to be a big brother. Of course Izzy is clueless but he does love the baby doll they gave him to play with. I hope they allowed him to keep the baby and didn't take it away because they think it might make him gay. They give Izzy a big brother shirt and Derick makes a comment about it not fitting over his grilled cheese tummy. I wonder if Derick is overly concerned about Izzy's weight. That could be a sign of Derick having an eating disorder. They break the news to the other family members over Thanksgiving in Branson. The Duggars are slow readers so it took them time and Jill holding poor Izzy up towards the ceiling for them to finally notice Izzy's big brother shirt. As I scanned the tables looking for Josh, because I know he was in Branson with them, I spy Laura DeMasie sitting at the table with all the grown boys. She's sitting between Jed and Jason. John is sitting next to Jason. She is with the Duggars too much lately and is the only nonfamily member at this dinner. Hmmmm. What the heck is going on? Maybe she and John are getting it on. Or maybe Jana. Jill gets all goofy trying to figure out how her mom raised 19 kids even though only a couple of minutes before they were talking about the buddy teams. Remember Jill? *John Laurens x Reader

*Summary: Reader is in broadcasting with the Hamilsquad and the teacher assigns a web series sitcom (think The Office) for the midterm. 

*Warnings: Swearing (putting this before I even write the imagine, I think it’s safe to assume)

*A/N: So, I’m back. My broadcasting class is actually doing this, so if any of you guys want to see my horrid self and my class do a low-budget sitcom, I’ll post the videos as we upload them to YouTube. (I dunno, my teacher is trying to make us have a bigger online presence than the five subscribers that we currently have so here’s kinda a promo) This’ll also be a mini series type of thing, somewhat following the plots for my class’s show. “Alright, everybody, settle down! We’re starting on a new project today,” Mr. Washington said as everybody was chattering, all eight of you. Your class was definitely small, having only Alexander Hamilton, John Laurens, Lafayette, Hercules Mulligan, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, Aaron Burr, and yourself in it. “Remember those character sheets I assigned last week? I started on a rough draft of the script for the sitcom that’s going up on our YouTube. Everyone look at the document and make any changes you need to. We’re doing a read-through by the end of the week and start filming by next Wednesday at the latest.” With that, Washington released you all to do your work, going over to the editor’s room where he was helping an AVID teacher with an advertisement for the next broadcast.

You got on Washington’s main computer, looking through the script that he had started. “You know, Washington’s a great guy and all but some of this stuff is just cringe,” you commented to no one in particular as your eyes scanned over the different lines. 

“I’m not in this one?” You heard Lafayette ask loudly from across the room.

“To be fair, this entire thing is basically Alex and Thomas arguing,” Aaron Burr spoke, which was a relatively rare occasion. 

“And my character’s just done with this whole nonsense,” you said, somewhat proud. You had been aiming for your character to be the sarcastic one who just stared into the camera when something particularly stupid happened. 

“Hold up, why is (y/n) mean to everyone except for John in this?” Alex asked, scrolling through the script on his laptop. 

“I’m not mean to Hercules either,” you said, trying to stop the heat rising in your cheeks. Under ‘character relations’ on the character sheet, you had made sure to put down that your ‘character’ had a soft spot for the freckled boy. Washington had obviously seen it, but erased it from the character sheets he put for the class to see. You looked at your phone, praying that no one would notice your flushed face.

“I think someone’s going soft for Laurens,” you heard Thomas whisper beside you, looking up and seeing him standing besides you, crouched slightly so he could whisper that to you.

“Fuck off, Jefferson,” you groaned. Thomas was actually one of your close friends and the one that had convinced you to join broadcasting in the first place, not that the way you two interacted would give that away.

“And yet you don’t deny it,” Thomas replied with a shit-eating grin.

“A lack of denial isn’t necessarily an admission,” James spoke up, sitting on one of the desks near you both.

“Thank you, James,” you beamed at him, glad that someone knew where you were coming from. Even though your lack of denial had been an admission of sorts, but you wouldn’t let Thomas know that. 

“John’s been awfully quiet about all this. How do you feel about a romantic subplot with you and (y/n)?” Thomas spoke directly to the boy in question. John took out his earbud, seeming somewhat confused. 

“What? I was watching a YouTube video,” John explained, head tilted slightly.

“About turtles again,” you heard Hercules mutter. You smiled a bit at that, finding John’s love for turtles endearing.

“You might want to look a little less lovesick if you don’t want Thomas on your case,” James advised in a whisper, making you wipe the smile right off of your face. You nodded at him in thanks, getting only a smile in reply. Your gaze drifted back over to the other side of the class, ignoring the argument that had erupted between Alex and Thomas. Your eyes met John’s, making your face flush even more as you quickly looked to the ground. You weren’t sure how you’d make it through filming this assignment.

Wednesday had finally arrived, and after some major edits made to the script, everything was ready to film. Washington had already had to pull apart Alex and Thomas when they got a bit too into their roles, so everyone was a bit wary of them while filming. “He’s so annoying, acting like new royalty but dressing like the pits of fashion,” Thomas complained as everyone waited for Alex to finish filming his solo scene.

“Really? You wear a magenta jacket half of the time, should you really be talking?” You sassed, looking up at him. You heard someone stifling a laugh, looking out of the corner of your eye to see John covering his mouth as he laughed. You smiled, feeling a bit of pride knowing that you’d made him laugh. 

“I am offended,” Thomas deadpanned, holding a hand over his heart.

“Good to know,” James said, coughing into his handkerchief. 

“You got sick again?” you asked, looking at him. James nodded as a coughing fit took over. Your gaze drifted back over to the other side of the class where John, Herc, and Laf were talking about something. John caught you staring, giving you a bright smile which you shyly returned.

“Nooo,” Thomas gasped as he saw what was going on. “Don’t tell me that-”

“Well, I’m not telling you anything even if it was,” you cut him off, trying not to seem too guilty. It didn’t work, especially if Thomas’s look of disbelief was anything to go by.

“You are! That’s why you’re sweet on him in the show!” Thomas exclaimed a bit too loudly, drawing attention from the group on the other side of the room. 

“Thomas, shut up,” you hissed, pulling on his arm to force him to sit. “Even if I did, it’s none of your damn business.” 

“It’s entirely my business! The second you become involved with him, you become involved with Hamilton!” Thomas whispered back furiously. “I would’ve been fine if it had been Lafayette, but Laurens? Really? That’s Hamilton’s best friend.”

“I know, but ever stop to think that they’re not all that bad?” You proposed, knowing that Thomas would immediately be against it.

“I’ve tried, and it’s not true. Again, only Lafayette is acceptable,” Thomas told you.

“Yeah, well I’m not into Laf, I’m into John. And it’s weird how similar you two look,” you argued. 

“See, you just admitted it,” Thomas replied with a smug grin. You looked over for help from James, but all he did was shrug. You knew that you had just dug your grave, but you were refusing to lay in it just yet.

“Hey, (y/n), John, we’re filming your guys’ part,” Aaron said, ignoring the newfound tension in the class. Thomas’s earlier outburst hadn’t escaped the Hamilsquad’s attention, and now you had to go on camera and slightly flirt with John for your grade. Great.

NAME / AGE / ORIGIN ? If you see me in Atlanta, you're going to hear choruses of people calling me "Drug," but my God given name is Charlie. I'm in my late twenties and I'm from Texas. I miss it there.

WHERE ARE YOU BASED NOW ? I live in St. Louis (for ascetic reasons). I make the Atlanta trip a couple times a month, but I've lived there for longer durations too, like 6 months at a time. For a while, I lived down there in this huge house with Yakki (formerly Yakki Divioshi), who is one of my favorite rappers of all time. Lil Silk was in the building of course too. Lotto Savage. Shout out to Guccio & Yayo Gang in St. Louis. Free Twank Banks. Geek Monster Gang. Keep your eyes peeled for the Mansion documentary shot by me and edited by Silk himself. A very piped up inside look into the life. I was always, always filming, whatever we were doing.

HOW’S YOUR DAY GOING ? Man, honestly, it was a stressed out, kinda shitty day. A lot of them are like that it seems, but I'm so, so proud of what I'm doing that I can't help but think it's worth it. I feel like I'm helping ensure that some very singular, important art comes to fruition. And at the end of the day, I couldn't live with myself not doing this. It's really taken over a lot of my life, but I think that this is the role I was supposed to fill.

*note: I'm having a better day as I'm coming back to finish these questions. They aren't all bad. I have to remind myself sometimes.

CARE TO BREIFLY DESCRIBE YOUR HISTORY / INVOLVEMENT WITH MUSIC, BANDS, SHOWS, ETC ? I've definitely been involved in music for a long time. I grew up in the hardcore scene in Houston. I'll always have love for that place and those people. All of my dogs in Austin too, of course. I released the Total Abuse demo on Drug Money Records and I've gone on tour with them almost every time they've ever toured. Rusty and I go way back. I collect records pretty hard, or I used to and now I mostly just enjoy what I have, because I'm so busy with everything else. I was always into rap, which isn't that special of a fact or anything, especially in Houston. My friend Masoud was an OG coach of mine back like way back on Houston rap. You could still buy the tapes from the old Screwed Up Records & Tapes location on Cullen then. I'll never forget that he advised me on picking up Dancin' Candy, P's n Q's, and maybe another one. I wonder where all those tapes went. He also tipped me off on K-Rino way back when. So because of Masoud, I was corresponding with K-Rino in high school. And I should mention too that there was a band from Houston called Eyeagainst and they touted Aquemini super hard. that was probably my first really serious dance with Atlanta rap. I was awed.

HOW DO YOU DEFINE DMUSA... ? ANY LABELS YOU WOULD PLACE ON IT, MAYBE TO DESCRIBE TO SOMEONE WHO IS COMPLETELY CLUELESS ? Good question. I would say that I'm involved with all levels of making rap music. The range of shit I have to do really has no limits. I release singles on my YouTube channel (and some on Soundcloud too), and now I'm releasing mixtapes. I connect the rapper and producer, arrange for the studio time to go down, and help conduct the goings on. I shoot videos and take photos of the process and life in Atlanta constantly. I set shows up in Atlanta and St. Louis when I can, and DJ, and make cassettes of my mixes (titles available from WTFTW and 6/27 Tapes). I get a lot of help from my friends. It's really refreshing to work with my dear friend Brodinski, because he has the same tireless drive to make this shit happen that I have, and really shares my vision more than anyone else I know. We are on the same page to a pretty wild degree. The projects I work on with him bring me great joy and make me feel like I'm not totally losing my mind. He's a true kindred spirit and I really value him. Total master of his craft, too. But yeah, bottom line, I would say Drug Money USA's central mission is making rap happen the right way.

HOW DID DRUG MONEY START, AND HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE THE EVOLUTION TO NOW (IF ANY) ? Really, I would say that it started off with a man named Stebo, who is a mover and shaker behind the scenes. I debuted a few of his tracks. I debuted a couple serious heaters from him at the beginning that really gave me some momentum. After that, I just started making more and more connections. Early on, I was getting joints from some guys I knew from their music and early affiliation with Young Thug, like Yung Zoo, YL Stunna (one of my favorite rappers of all time, also on Thug's ICFN2), and Justin Hunter (then Raymond Reedy). I'd do all this work for their own songs, so guys like Zoo would float me their songs with Thugger as exclusives too. Free Zoo. Joints from Papertrail 550, who is the fucking man, some of those featuring Casino and Bloody Jay and the Black Migo Gang. I was just connecting the dots between all the music I loved and making lasting friendships along the way. And these songs I was getting were (and remain) among some of my favorite rap music being made, so I was like, I guess I really have to do this, like, all the time. I had been working on this stuff for a couple of years before I started spending real deal time in Atlanta, and I didn't exactly know how it was going to translate when I showed up in person. But I went down there and had a place to lay my head, thanks to Guccio, living with some of the most vibrant talents in Atlanta in Yakki and Silk and company, and I got a call from Bloody Jay the night I arrived in town. We had a talk that brought a tear down my cheek within seconds, I kid you not. That is an incredible man. Free Bloody Jay. He's one of my favorite rappers ever. Of all time. And just an indomitable creative spirit. He's going to rule the world with words when he gets out. We need his voice right now, especially now. But anyway, Jay and I link up that night, which was surreal and a real dream for me (as well as a whole story unto itself), and around 5 AM, I get back to the house, where Yakki teases me for going to sleep because there was still something to be smoked. And that first night set the tone for my time in Atlanta that continues to this day. There's been hard times and losses and frenzied, really stressed out moments, but I've kept my head up the entire time, ever forging ahead. Now I have more songs to release and more work to contend with and more projects to work away on than I could have ever imagined. It really evolved into a scene unto itself. I'm working with all the people I want to work with. I'm helping make the music I would otherwise be clamoring for, so it's really a dream.

YOUR YOUTUBE CHANNEL HAS 40K+ SUBSCRIBERS, ARE YOU SUPER RICH NOW ? I'll go to bat for my people and zealously advocate for the artists I work with, but I'm not so business minded when it comes to my own stake. I never wanted to impede anyone from listening to these new artists or cheapen the experience, especially for the music I was personally presenting. And it just stuck that way. No advertisements. No YouTube monetization. I really like when my friends tell me that they spent a few interrupted hours listening to my uploads. I like that my channel doesn't promote anything but the music and the people behind it. I'm just too invested in that vision to break away from it right now.

WHAT WERE SOME OF THE EARLIER TRACKS YOU HELPED EXPOSE THAT INCREASED YOUR LEGITIMACY/VIEWERSHIP ? I started off with a bang, or a couple of bangs actually, courtesy of the very underrated Young Stebo, who I mentioned before. They were these songs with Young Thug ("Foreign Cash") and Ola Playa ("Started From the Bottom," also featuring YC). Really these very underrated songs that are almost like Killed by Death style Atlanta rap cuts. He has incredible songs by himself as well as as true classics with all of the then-burgeoning stars. Thug, Playa, Bloody Jay, Wicced, Yung Booke, Rich Homie Quan, everybody. His recent music has been incredible too, so stay on the lookout for more from Stebo.

Twice (dmusa)

FAVORITE PROJECT OR EVENT YOU’VE DONE ? My favorite project I've dropped so far has to be Twice's Zachary: Double It Up 2, which you did the artwork for. I put my everything into that project. Twice and I had already been working together for a while when he caught a case. After that, we really ramped it up and spent his last free days recording in his mom's basement while he was stuck sitting on an ankle monitor. Spaghetti J engineered over mostly Spaghetti J beats and we pumped out some unreal songs down there, with these pretty serious pitbulls looming behind us in the backyard. Big dogs like Tay Slime Ass and YL Stunna dropped by and recorded classics with Twice. Young upstarts Lil Patt and Slimelife Shawty came by and made some magic with Lil Double Up too. There's really no one like Twice, and I mean that. In South Atlanta, this mixtape is seriously a cherished classic. That's the correct school of thought, in my mind. It should be celebrated everywhere. It's really lyrical, thoughtful trap music straight from the heart of the jungle. He's got a real classic on there with Young Thug as well, called "No Wendy's", which you actually did the single artwork for too. Bless you for that. It's over the "Controlla" beat and it's one of my favorite songs of all time. He's not like other rappers his age. His favorite rappers are Drake, Jadakiss, and Fabolous, and he goes in over an Eve beat on "Runnin' Up", but his rap is still distinctly Atlantan. It's the perfect balance. He's an old soul with a serious voice, wise behind his years but prone to mistakes, just like anybody else. I pray for his release. Free Twice. I actually dropped his first songs (with YL Stunna) back in February of 2014, so Zachary was a long time coming for me. I listen to it everyday.I'm really, really excited about Young Slime Season, the upcoming 20 track mixtape featuring all the young Slimes, the young crew, that I'm dropping with Brodinski and Bromance Records a couple of days before Thanksgiving. We've been working on it for a long time. It's a really huge project. It really represents the voice of the youth of Cleveland Ave. The central players on the album are Babysnake, B Slime, Lil Clockk, Maja Got It, No Mask Nuk, Lil Patt, Lil Reek, Slimeball Kelly, Slimelife Shawty, Lil Tay, The Homie Cashyy, Twice, YL G Baby and Zack Slime Fr. But it features contributions from a couple of the big dogs too, like YSL Hitta, YL Zoe, MPA Bukk Bukk too, as well as a couple of tracks featuring Atlanta star B La B, who is an entity all his own. It's really a sprawling journey, running the gamut from these perfectly crafted melodic gems to these very rambunctious songs with like 6 rappers a pop. You can hear the urgency and vitality of the youth on every track. The production is really otherworldly too. I'm dropping YSS with Bromance Records, so the producers on it are either directly from that camp or close affiliates. Peerless music. I have actually been listening to Myd, who produced a few flawless tracks on the project, since 2009, when Air France put his track "Train to Bamako" on an online mix. And now I have tracks with my favorite young rappers today rapping to his music. It's unreal. So it's these very fresh, often unorthodox rappers with this production that also isn't like anything else in rap music either, or any music period. The production is indispensable, and the music just couldn't have come from anyone else, with regard to both the rapping and the production. The producers on there are Amine Edge & DANCE, Bobby Swan, Brodinski himself, Ikaz Boi, Mister Tweeks, Myd, Myth Syzer, and Ryan Hemsworth. It could not sound better. It's such a vital document. I'm like dying, I can't wait for it to drop. I'm so proud of what we made.I'm really proud of The Return of Cheat Code too. My friend Diaz and his big dog James really helmed all the mixing and mastering and a lot of the preparations for that one. Then Bame Cheat Code is his next project, which we will also be releasing. It'll be here in December and it might just happen to feature a certain big snake, if you know what I mean. Welcome home, Cheat. His influence can't be overstated. Just listen to yesteryear's "President Slide Show" with Kwony Cash and Young Thug.

Patt, Slimelife Shawty, Twice (dmusa)

I'm going to present the Black Roses mixtape, the first offering from the YL camp as a unit together, featuring an all-star cast of some big Slimes. It features YL Stunna, YL Zoe, YSL Hitta, Taliban France, and Money Game Boo. I have tapes coming out individually from each of those artists, as well as tapes on the way from B La B, YSL Maybach, Zack Slime Fr, and Lil Patt.

I also have a tape coming out with the Atlanta production duo Spaghetti J that is centered around Cleveland Ave/Jonesboro Rd. Spaghetti J are incredible, and we have been working on music for a couple years now actually, really amassing a library of killer, homegrown music that we are always still adding to. Our first installment is on the horizon though, and it's going to be something serious. We also have single artist projects we'll be releasing together with some of the rappers I listed above. Remember the name Spaghetti J, for real.

I've always shot the documentary footage, but more recently, I've been shooting a lot of music videos that I'm really excited about. The first three I'm dropping are from Tay Slime Ass, Rari Rokket aka Ferrari Smash, and Solid Lil Chris. Free Chris. After that, it's the "Drug Money" anthem from YL Stunna, YL Zoe, and Twice. I filmed it a while back. It's a perfect storm. That one is going to be my opus, I think. Double LP vinyl edition of Ola Playa's Slime Season is almost ready. Years in the making. The interview I did with Playa on my blog, actually, is one of the labors I'm most proud of. I'm also working on a petition for Money Game Boo to sing the National Anthem. Talk about a singular talent. His tape is going to cause earthquakes.
