Psycho-Pass Providence

I literally need to be consoled on this. 😭🤧 When Psycho Pass movie came, I was over the top! Thinking the Shinkane ship will finally sail. (yes I know PP is not a romance anime. But Gundam (the most serious political anime series/franchise) do have it and it doesn't hurt the overall plot! So I don't see any reason why PP won't include it onto our MCs? 😮‍💨🤔

Came Psycho Pass Providence, although the interactions (in sub) are a bit monotonous (for my taste atleast. I find it cute because of the Bullet Vest, the handcuffs and the infirmary (cigarette off) scene. But that is not enough for me because - it feels like - the damage had been done. Kogami shutting Akane (as if she was the culprit) defending Frederica 😣. She is just simply asking why Frederica didn't inform them before hand. And our Queen knows it's not her fault. She's not even shouting at Frederica! But the way Kogami defended Frederica feels like he's protecting his girlfriend in front of his bully workmate. You know what I mean? 😒

I personally not against any ship. I respect them. But I can't get rid the fact that I feel hurt (if I were in Akane's shoes) 😓.

I do raise up questions with the tone like I support Frederica and the way the writers seemingly...again...seemingly writing her as a potential love interest for Kogami. She's openly flirty to him in the novels by the way, and Kougami never call her out. 😅

Again, I don't have bad apple for Frederica. She's one heck of a femme fatale to me 🤗

But speaking of the novels, I believe the turning point for me and the reason why I get depressed and got sick in weeks after reading that was the fact that Kougami is always there for Frederica. 🤧😭

During their "sparring" session that Frederica enjoys. The gratefulness she felt for Kogami trying to keep her "mood up" whenever she's sad. I mean HE NEVER did that for Akane since PPP. He left her when she's crying in the elevator. And when Frederica is sad for the death of Yabuki, he was there to console her 🤧.

Apologies if I get started on this. No this is not a hate rant to either Kogami or Frederica. They're just anime characters. But I am personally hate by how the writers are trying to crush Akane. 😓

It feels like she's against the world in PP universe. And in real life, the writers wants to get rid of her by making her feel "unwanted" and "unneeded".

I just want to voice my opinion how unfair the writers are 😣. I like Akane because she isn't wishy-washy. I can identify to her as a person. An ordinary girl with a gigantic heart to her friends ❣️

And the way the writers treats her using the man she look up to, feels too personal to me. It's as if I was the one feeling the blow. You know what I mean?

Lacus Clyne have Kira Yamato!

The guys from Gundam 000 have their own pair who helped them through ups and downs and land a good path. So I believe PsychoPass should have it too.

Kogami's apology in First Inspector feels too late for me. Just like Saiga Sensei had predicted. I hope Akane will find happiness from a person who is willing to give it to her. Not take that away from her.

Because that way, I will feel good because I could relate to her, as I've mentioned before.

I watched PPP in theaters and now I understand why Kougami apologized to Akane at the end of First Inspector. Kinda bittersweet and it brought things full circle. Aside that, I thoroughly enjoyed the movie and I feel like it progressed the plot of the series even further than the original movie did and sets up the stakes for the final showdown against the Sybil System.

I am curious to learn your thoughts on the movie plot wise and how you feel about the interactions between Frederica and Akane as it relates to Kougami.

I liked the movie too. I thought the animation was excellent and seeing the original magical trio working together is awesome. It is bittersweet. The plot is heavy, sometimes too heavy, but I thought at least it was more congruent than the plot of S3. There are still parts I didn't get, such as why would Sybil decide to give the Stroyanka papers to Tomami. No idea.

As per Frederica and Kogami, I think they care about each other and are frank with each other. Kogami calling her out on lying to Saiga was hilarious to me. It leads me to believe that they speak to each other informally and honestly. It seems like they spend a lot of time together and there's trust between them. Both Kogami and Akane call Frederica by her first name. I wonder if it is because she's half British or something?

Akane and Kogami...it seems like the writers purposefully made the relationship awkward. I didn't quite understand why Kogami had to apologize to Akane specifically. In that case he should've apologized to Ginoza as well. Although, you could say he kinda does when they have that conversation in the boat. I wish there had been more emotion between Akane and Kogami, not only the professional dialogue they have, always related to work. I guess the call that got cut short could've been a possibility for that kind of dialogue. Oh, well. A lot of people see shinkane in this movie, and I don't explicitly find it to be there, but seeing them together stirred me and inspired me and it made me more shinkane fanatic than I was before. Sad. I'm pathetic, lol.

I found Kogami mostly indifferent, though as @jediofbooksandsnacks pointed out to me, he shows emotion when he's reading Akane's letter. A little too late, if you ask me.

What were your thoughts about those two relationships? I'm curious. I see some people shipping Frederica and Kogami too. Just like Akane and Homura, I don't see it. But to each their own!

Offipro 3 - Shizuka Homura

So there was a full page that I realized I only translated for personal use (and I used to do the shortcut method before when I would just point the camera at the screen while it translated live - see my OG post about his data) but now that I'm doing something extra, well... let's just say I should have done this while I was finishing up the last chapters of volition. ANYWAY, same method as before, I'll also paste the JP text afterwards. As this is a digital release, I will not be posting the pages online. Character Setting

The way he dresses in a black and white suit gives the impression that he is a brilliant young businessman. However, his soft smile gives off a mysterious mood that makes it difficult to distinguish between friends and foes.

Character Profile

He was raised by his adoptive father, Koichiro Homura, as an assassin for Haruki Shirogane and Kyoko Saionji. All of Koichiro's biological children are eustress-deficient or latent criminals, and Shizuka has taken over the role of Congressman in place of his adoptive father, who was expelled from Bifrost. He always has a gentle smile on his face, and it is difficult to tell from his expression what he is thinking. His true intention was to eliminate Bifrost. Finally, after the other two Congressmen were executed by Round Robin, he selected the Sibyl System as the new Congressman. With this choice, Round Robin was placed under the Sibyl System's recognition, and upon completion of its role, Bifrost was also annihilated. After its demise, Shizuka became the new head of the Public Security Bureau. As a condition of his appointment, he demanded the safety of Arata Shindo and Kei Mikhail Ignatov, and the release of the imprisoned Akane Tsunemori. Despite his great achievement of destroying Bifrost, he still refers to himself as a “fundamentally average person”*, and with Bifrost’s destruction, he finally became a living citizen within the Sibyl system. His true desire was to get rid of the entire Homura family fortune and live “a life of his own”.

note: i tried 3 translators and the word "assassin" did not change and i checked it with a reliable source who is a native JP speaker, so I guess it was really it. yeah, i know. 🤯

*also translated as "basically an ordinary human"
