OC: Ace Cargill AKA L’ace-In-The-Hole

So I finally finished the rough pencils for the comic that introduces this character; here he is in his first full villain outing!!!

He has telekinesis that unfortunately only works on shoelaces; but with some creative tinkering and some razor wire he is able to turn said laces into deadly weapons.

    Her city bled cruelty from violent pores, deep knife-wounds dug by its inhabitants who knew rage and revenge like old friends, neighbours in depression and loss, familiar faces in crowds of strangers who’d done nothing for them. Its tall buildings lost their wonder somewhere amongst the harshness of its winters, the cold of which seemed to sap all enthusiasm for those who resided within its icy bowels. Every road reeked of sickness ; cancerous things grew amongst the brickwork, foul expulsions in alleyways, vile people feeding on red ice and growing like weeds, expanding, their underground empires fuelling the very framework of Detroit. It was a city of rats, but she knew it with an intimacy she knew no other place in the world.

    Perhaps Melissa thought she owed it a debt. After all, no matter how ferocious those who knew it, that place was home. All of her memories had been born there. She had her job, and she had Gavin, and she had her shitty little apartment several long blocks away from the labs and that little was more than enough. More than so many others had.

    It was one late night, walking home one foot in front of the other through the powerfall snow that she first met her, a child, alone. Melissa, for a moment, thought of walking by, for surely the parents would be close. But … but something did not FEEL right about that. So she stopped.

    Aside from a whispering wind, all was quiet.

    Alone. Alone.

    Fuck. Fuck, okay. She diverted, hesitated before approaching and doing so slowly, non-threateningly, every wit and prickled nerve kept alive and awake. The streets were unsafe when blessed by daylight, and there was no light here now.

    A quick, cursory glance about their surroundings revealed no other silhouettes lingering between night’s dying light. They were alone with the wintry wind. Disbelief rattled her, edged with a quiet sort of anger she seldom allowed herself the pleasure of feeling. She was just a child. Fuck Detroit.

    ❝  Sweetheart, are you out here by yourself?  ❞

    But she looked at her and she KNEW, she didn’t need to ASK.

    She asked anyway.

Something most don't realize is that We make some of the biggest moulds in the industry. Our biggest is almost 40' long and about 9' tall. Not every job needs a panel this big, so we have a wide range (about 10,000sqft of moulds) but there is no better way to create a giant cliff face as nature intended than having this piece put in place. In the past we've turned this piece into giant roaring waterfalls, retaining walls, and one of my favourites within a restaurant was a powerfall cut right into the top of the panel to trickle down the face. Astronomers Spotted The Farthest Blazars

NASA astronomers from the Fermi gamma-ray observatory discovered the farthest blazars by now. Previously, the most distant blazars detected by Fermi emitted their light when the universe was roughly 2.1 billion years old. Now, Fermi telescope picked up intense gamma-ray signals from the five blazars when the Universe was 1.4 billion years old. This discovery can help us to better understand black holes, especially in the early ages of Universe.

Blazars belong to some of the most extreme and violent objects in the space. Simply put, blazars are at the core of giant active galaxies containing the supermassive black hole that we could ever imagine. Because they are fueled by black holes, a blazar lives on the energy of the objects like dust and stars that the supermassive black holes suck in. This makes them extremely powerful. It emits jets of high-energy plasma so fast that it’s almost at the speed of light. So, when we see a blazar, we’re looking at an actively feeding galaxy face on. Furthermore, we can see the radiation emitted by both the black hole and the jet.

The newest discovered powerfall and luminous objects emit the energy equivalent of more than 2 trillion Suns, and two of them had black holes larger than 1 billion solar masses. This fact put the question in front of scientists: how this giant supermassive black holes could form in such a young universe. And not just that, but we have to found out what triggered such a quick development of black holes.

To answer these questions, astronomers from Fermi observatory will continue to search for new blazars and study already captured data. Scientists are convinced that is detected just the tip of the iceberg. As the Fermi telescope enables scientists to answer persistent questions across a broad range of topics, including supermassive black-hole systems, pulsars and the origin of cosmic rays, their beliefs have a solid foundation.

Name means ..... Forests falls Gullfoss- located southwest Iceland . Part of Golden circle tour . Wide fall three step " staircase" then abrupt plungers you approach fall the edge is not visible so it looks like the river vanishes into the Earth. Name means Golden falls. Seljalandsfoss -southern Iceland. Step slippery steps up to fall. Can walk around behind the fall! One steep and long drop. Name means sell land fall? Kirkjufellsfoss- western Iceland ..on Snaefellsness Peninsula. Channels glacier melt...not a real high fall but couple levels with three spouts.can capture falls with Kirkjufell Mountain in background! Means church mountain. Godafoss-northeastern region. Year 1000, Lawspeaker made Christianity the official religion and threw Norse Gods statues over fall.. Huge rock formations over steep cliffs.... Very powerfall. Name means waterfall of the gods

Fox Darlauch AKA ‘Reverb’

They’re a vigilante superhero who plays bass in a rock band. Their power allows them to convert sound-waves into energy; the louder their surroundings, the stronger, faster, and more agile they become — their suit has in-built headphones so they can always listen to music while they fight and maintain a high power-level. “The Bassline Bandit” is their nickname within the band they’re in.

L’ace-In-The-Hole

Now this guy, this guy is a villain. His whole life he’d wanted superpowers, wanted to be like the heroes he idolised, craved for it. For so long his desire went unfulfilled, but one day his powers finally did manifest. And what did get? The power to… control shoelaces. Telekinesis that only works on shoelaces. The most useless power anyone could have! Or so he thinks, until a mysterious stranger - the ring-leader of a villain group named Powerfall - persuades him that it’s not about the power you have, it’s about how you use it. Every foe would underestimate the man who controls shoelaces. And never would they suspect that those shoelaces are lined with razor wire… until it’s too late for them. Perhaps this power was worth the wait after all.

*I think overall I prefer Fox’s second haircut- though civilian outfit-wise I like both. The superhero costume still needs work, but I like the logo and wanna stick with the motorbike look

As for L’ace, I appear to have drawn two completely different characters 😂 that’s what I get for going from memory. Overall for him I pretty much prefer everything from version 1 - that’s at least closer to how I’d originally pictured him - but I think I’d add the mask design from version two, just some shoelace stitching in a creepy faux-smile to sell that Edgy-Villain-Energy. That said I do quite like the energy design of version 2 - perhaps that’s a design I can repurpose into a different character. Maybe another member of Powerfall?

Another Villain!OC

Name: Tiberius (last name undecidedknown) Villain name: “Compound Fracture.”

Power: So, how to describe it? He essentially has extra bone mass and he can manipulate his bones into weapons that pierce out through his skin, surprising his enemies. He can also absorb other people’s bones in order to increase his own strength.

Still working out the design for this guy, but I’ve got his vibe. Along with “L’ace-In-The-Hole” he’s another member of the villain group Powerfall, deadly in close-quarters combat, revels in violence, murder and destruction, and certainly has the shortest temper of anyone in the group.
