One thing I love about Power Rangers Prime is that it’s not just another ‘let’s retell MMPR in the modern day.’

Aside from the unique setting of an Eltar-colonized Earth and the hints of how Rita might be involved, Prime draws from all over Power Rangers history, just in issue 1, we got:

1. The Samurai Rangers

2. Orion from Super Megaforce

3. The mutants from Time Force

4. Pretty sure the Ryan that Jun’s friends with is Ryan from Lightspeed Rescue. But we’ll see about that one.

Point is, go read Power Rangers Prime #1. It’s awesome!

Power Rangers Prime can do the funniest fake out.

Okay so hear me out on this.

If I remember correctly, the original plan for MMPR was for the White Ranger to be an entirely original character played by the actor who went on to play Ryan Steele in VR Troopers, whilst Ryan Steele was originally gonna be played by JDF; the roles being changed after it became obvious how popular the character of Tommy was.

I think, without sounding too cynical that we can expect at least some of the VR Troopers to die.

They have the Trooper Training Program, so it's clear that they can rapidly replace any losses.

There is obviously going to be a Sixth Prime Ranger, which I feel like Ryan is currently in a position to be a candidate for.

So what they could do is have JB and Kaitlin die and be replaced by Tommy and, just for shits and giggles Matt, clearly setting up a fake out to Ryan being Prime Green....Then have both of them killed off unceremoniously and have Ryan get a Green/White suit anyway, double fake out. It wouldn't even have to be a Green With Evil redux, Ryan is already set up as an antagonist without Rita's influence and him taking on a role that's historically Tommy's as he becomes a protagonist just feels like everything coming full circle.

I’m so tired of the Eltarians being evil or being viewed as evil.

I’m sorry but I am.

While I do like Rita’s glow up and the kinda friendship with Bulk, I’m really wary of it. I like Rita as a petty, vain and evil sorceress that’s powerful. So we will see where it goes.

Also saw the covers of Prime #4 cover. MMPR again. Nice changes, I guess and yay Purple Ranger!

Now where is goddamn Teal Ranger?!
