Every time I get sick I start googling "how to improve immune system" like maybe they've finally invented the miracle cure vitamin that you just take once a day and never get sick anymore and I just missed the announcement. And every time google returns to me the news that the only thing that even might work is to get better sleep, more exercise and better nutrition. Which unfortunately sounds significantly more annoying than the magic supplement cure.

Screaming. How have I never gotten this Andreja line before? Not the Traumatized Snake Cultist therapizing her frighteningly well-adjusted bestie: Snake Cultist, PhD. Damn.
What do you mean his childhood memories of his family gravjumping to always stay ahead of the Great Serpent (i feel like House Va'ruun, in diaspora, actually has straight up different theology than Zealots or the common line on Va-ruun-kai) means he's developed worrying hoarder/looting tendencies. YES he lists ammo/credits/ship parts before anything else in terms of value! You can survive on nutrient paste and it's light-weight!! But you musn't rely on others ahead of the crew! Have to balance lightweight to run but also being as self-sufficient as possible! All must fear the coming Shrouding!

I really honestly would love it if doctors would, y'know, HELP me with my diet/nutrition issues instead of just criticizing me for being malnourished all the time.
Cus like I UNDERSTAND that B vitamin overdose is a thing, I've seen people with POTS get it after drinking too many liquid IVs and I'm starting to get weird tingles in my hands and feet so I'm a bit worried about that. But I DONT get enough salt or other nutrients via eating anymore because I literally cannot eat enough due to my MALS.
If I don't get enough salt I get so dizzy and nauseous all day and I'll start passing out. So the salty drinks make a huge difference. But I swear to FUCK not a SINGLE brand comes WITHOUT added B vitamins. Especially the ones that have the amount of sodium I need (I shoot for 300-500mg per drink, I need 6-12 whole grams per day of sodium so... Perhaps you can see my dilemma).
I do add salt to my regular water too but it's only a few grams, it's not enough. I literally am not capable of eating enough to get the nutrients I need, but the supplements I'm taking are giving me TOO much of added nutrients I DONT need, and I can't. Eat. Like I can only eat a low residue diet bc my body can't fucking digest fiber or raw foods. Which, notoriously, contain nutrients I need to live!
If I even had pain management I could just eat normally and not think about this but I don't have that either!
I would say "guess I'll die" but that's what they want. Guess I'll continue to suffer and live out of spite. I will make sure my problems become SOMEONE else's problems before I die.
Anyway I don't have a solution to the b vitamin thing. I have no other way to keep getting the salt I need so uhhh guess I'll just lose my hands and feet! Or whatever!

Hey fit girls!
If you're looking to take your nutrition to the next level to boost the effect of your workouts, you might consider using supplements.
I created a short list of the most popular fitness supplements that will help fuel and optimize your performance. You can also read about my personal experience with them.
So let's get started on finding out which supplements are right for you!
Tumblr media
1. Protein Powders
One of the most popular supplements for athletes, protein powders provide your body with a steady source of muscle-building protein. They're perfect for those looking to increase their muscle mass or recover faster from intense workouts. Protein powders contain whey.
Protein powders are a fast and low-calorie option to ingest more protein. Remember that a sufficient protein intake is crucial for seeing changes in your body composition. The recommended daily protein intake varies wildly depending on the source, so I suggest tracking your intake and adjusting the amount of protein according to the body changes you observe.
Tumblr media
I've been using protein powders from My Protein for several years now. There are tons of flavors to choose from. They also offer vegetarian and vegan protein powders. I mix protein powders with water to get a protein shake, but you can also use milk or plant milk.
2. BCAAs
Branched-chain amino acids are essential for muscle growth and energy. BCAAs provide your body with the essential building blocks it needs to repair and build muscle.
I personally saw no difference when I used BCAAs before my workouts, but a lot of people include them in their routine.
3. Pre-Workouts
Pre-workout supplements are designed to give you a boost of energy before your workout. They contain ingredients such as caffeine and other stimulants that help increase your mental focus and physical performance.
Tumblr media
As much as I love to optimize my workouts, I am not a coffee drinker so the caffeine in pre-workouts made me jittery and nervous. But many people with a tolerance to caffeine swear by pre-workout supplements as they find they increase their energy and strength.
4. Creatine
Creatine is a popular supplement for athletes looking to improve strength and power. It's been scientifically proven to increase muscle growth, power output, and muscle recovery.
I highly recommend creatine, which is one of the best researched supplements on the market. I find that it improves my performance by about 10%. I currently take 3 grams of creatine per day.
Tumblr media
5. Multivitamins
While all of these supplements are important for optimizing physical performance, multivitamins are sometimes essential for overall health and wellness. They help fill in the gaps of any nutrition deficiencies (eg. if you exclude a certain food group), giving you the energy and nutrients you need to stay healthy.
Before taking any multivitamins, I recommend getting a blood panel done to figure out if you actually have vitamin deficiencies. You might consider taking only a specific vitamin instead of a general multivitamin supplement.
Conclusion
Overall, supplements can be a great way to optimize your physical performance and get the most out of your workouts. However, it is important to do your research before starting any supplement regimen as there are potential risks associated with taking too much or not enough.
Additionally, monitoring your progress and tracking what you eat will help ensure that you're getting all the nutrients you need for optimal health. Ultimately, if used correctly, supplements can give you an edge in achieving your fitness goals- so don't forget them!

Getting The Finest Quality Whey Protein For Weight Loss
Tumblr media
As more and more people become increasingly health-conscious day by day, weight loss concerns are also increasing. Everyone today wants to stay fit and they do not want to get out of shape. In order to achieve one's fitness goals, they are ready to go any extent and try various products. One of the mistakes that people make here is to blindly opt for any product that promises instant results. Customers fail to use their discretion when selecting their dietary or weight loss supplements like whey protein powder for weight loss.
In this context, whey protein is one of the most sought-after weight loss products. Due to its popularity many brands have launched their own version of whey products. Unfortunately, not all of them are equally reliable and effective. You need to therefore select your weigh protein with utmost care. One of the reasons why whey protein is an effective weight loss product is because it reduces the overall calorie intake. You must however pick the highest quality whey protein. Most importantly the weigh protein must not be heavily processed. It should not contain any artificial preservatives or sweeteners.
You should look for a reasonably priced whey protein. You will be required to take your whey protein on a regular basis. You will not be able to restock your whey protein regularly if it is priced high. Look for affordable options to buy your whey protein powder for weight loss.
You should find a brand that gives you the best results. Reputed brands provide clear instructions on how to take the supplement to get the best results. If you follow the dosage guidelines you will get the expected results.
To ensure optimal results, it is crucial to consume whey protein at the right time. A common approach is to incorporate it into a post-workout shake, as this can help replenish muscle glycogen stores, which are the primary energy source for muscle contraction, and promote muscle protein synthesis, the process by which muscle tissue is repaired and built. Additionally, consuming whey protein in the morning can help curb appetite and prevent overeating throughout the day, as it can increase feelings of fullness and satiety. Remember, while whey protein can be a valuable tool in your weight loss journey, it should be used in conjunction with a balanced diet, regular exercise, and other lifestyle modifications.
To maximize the benefits of whey protein, it is essential to prepare it correctly. Avoid using boiling water, as this can denature the protein and reduce its bioavailability. Instead, opt for lukewarm water or milk to mix your whey protein powder. If you prefer a thicker consistency, you can add fruits, nuts, seeds, or other healthy ingredients to your shake. Experiment with different flavors and recipes to find what you enjoy most. Additionally, consider the timing of your protein intake. If you are following a specific diet, such as intermittent fasting or ketogenic diet, adjust your protein intake accordingly to optimize its effects.

Total Colostrum Powder is an immune system balancing product, a completely natural Health Supplement suitable for all ages. Colostrum is life’s first food and contains all the needed things to set your body going on life’s road.
