The werewolf erupted into a full-body laugh, mouth open and eyes sparkling — Stiles was close enough now to see that they were blue — and he was pleased to elicit such a response. He wanted to hear that sound again.

While magic doesn't stop the Hale fire it allows Stiles to bring Peter back when he thinks sacrificing himself for Stiles is a good idea (the fool).

Do you guys remember that Gerard Way x Frank Iero fanfic where Gerard was the president's son and schizophrenic and almost got Mikey Way killed on accident during an Episode and then he was sent to a mental institution (calling it that feels Icky but idk what else to call them or why it feels Icky?) Where he meets Frank Iero and they escape together? And like at the end Gerard's psychologist starts seeing his hallucination?

It was accidentally really ableist and kinda shitty but also written really well? And you could tell that the person writing it had done some research, but probably not enough?

I really liked it when I was like 12. I don't want to read it again because fanfics of real people is just... Wrong to me (especially if there are sexual things or shipping). But yeah. It pops into my head randomly.

It was so well loved and known in the MCR community in like 2013 ish.

I think it was called a Fractured Mind or something?

Also, do you guys remember that other Frank Iero x Gerard Way fic where it was dealing with classism, caste system of sorts, and racism in a fantasy world where people were either snow white and "pure" or charcoal black and "impure" but by chance one day a White guy (Gerard) meets Black guy (Frank) and they like.. fall in love probably? I can't remember the details, other than if a black person touched anything, the soot of their flesh would stain things. And they weren't allowed to touch white people so they wouldn't "dirty" them. And I think the story was left unfinished?

These were on Wattpad by the way.

Also do you guys remember PotatoYoghurt on Wattpad and their fanfics? I loved them as a preteen.

There’s something very nice about remembering fics you read years ago. Maybe you remember the plot perfectly, maybe the rest of the fic is only a blur aside from a handful of vivid scenes, but you remember the way it made you feel. And sometimes you dredge up the memory - the premise or a favourite scene or a few lines that stayed with you -  and your heart aches a little bit, the way it does when you think about books you enjoyed as a child.

To all the fanfiction writers out there: your work is beautiful and meaningful and it leaves an impact. I promise.
