Steve observed the boy, trying to determine if he was lost or if his parents were close by. After a minute of indeterminate answers, he approached him. “Hey,” he said timidly, his hands tucked in his pockets and his shoulders slumped down so he appeared smaller and less intimidating.

She hasn’t committed to becoming Iron Man, not officially. Right now it was an idea in its infancy, just something bouncing around in her brain.  She hadn’t settled on an official design or anything like that. She was just studying dad’s old designs. There were still things holding her back from following in her father’s footsteps.

The first being her mom. Being Iron Man had killed her father and Morgan doubted that her mother would be okay with her putting her life in danger. Plus Morgan wasn’t even sure she could stand putting that kind of worry and possible pain on her mom’s shoulders.  The other reasons being the other members of her family.  What if they didn’t approve? Would they be upset with her for putting her life on the line? After all she still had flare-ups of anger when she thought about her dad leaving them behind because it was Iron Man’s duty to save the world. She knew that was a selfish way of thinking but sometimes it couldn’t be helped. 

Maybe one of her brother’s would know what to do. Maybe they’d have the right thing to say. It doesn’t take much effort for Morgan to find and get a hold of Harley. 

“ Hey, Harley I need your opinion on a project.” It’ll be easier to ease him into the conversation at hand rather than just blurt out that she wants to be a hero. “ One of my dad’s older ones to be exact.”

   “Whoa. Is that a potato gun?” Nathan slowed to a stop. One of the kids in his old neighborhood had once made marshmallow shooters with old pipes. He had made one for Nathan too, but those you needed to use your breath for and they hadn’t had triggers like this one. They certainly hadn’t been able to shoot potatoes either.

   “Did you make that? Does it work?”
