Normal blood pressure is 120/80 mm Hg or lower. Elevated blood pressure. The top number which is called systolic blood pressure ranges from 120 to 129 mm Hg and the bottom number which is called diastolic blood pressure should be is below, not above, 80 mm Hg.
Stage 1 hypertension. The top number ranges from 130 to 139 mm Hg or the bottom number is between 80 and 89 mm Hg.
Stage 2 hypertension. The top number is 140 mm Hg or higher or the bottom number is 90 mm Hg or higher. Ideal blood pressure normal range is considered to be between 90/60mmHg and 120/80mmHg. High blood pressure is considered to be 140/90mmHg or higher. Low blood pressure is considered to be 90/60mmHg or lower.

First we have to look out whether Septoplasty is really indicated -That becomes clear on CTSCAN-PNS(Paranasal Sinuses). You need to take opinion from qualified and experienced ENT specialist doctor in your city.
If the CTSCAN-PNS shows gross deviated nasal septum and the patient has symptomatic nasal blocking then Septoplasty is advised and in such cases the patient benefits from Septoplasty surgery.
Nasal fog test is done by ENT surgeon in OPD, when the patient of Deviated nasal septum comes for the first time for ENT check up.
When a tongue depressor is placed below the nose, there is less fogging on the side where the nasal septum is deviated.
For example if there is deviated nasal septum to the right side then there is less fogging on the right side, and more fogging on the left side.
Less fogging means that the volume of air passing from that side is less due to Deviated nasal septum to that side. More fogging on the opposite side indicates that the volume of air passing that side is more and septum is not deviated to that side .
But these things are not as reliable as CTSCAN-PNS(Paranasal sinuses) .
Afterall final opinion in this regard is taken by the ENT specialist doctor only.
If the CT SCAN -PNS shows Sinus problems then sinus surgery will also be required along with Septoplasty.
If findings of Concha bullosa is there on CTSCAN -PNS, then trimming of Concha bullosa may also be required .There are three projections from the lateral wall of the nose, -the superior turbinate ,the middle turbinate and the inferior turbinate.
If the middle turbinate is too much increased in size it is called Concha bullosa.
