Part 1 of the odds were never in our favor

Ben knows his fellow mentors pretty well, for how long he's spent here, behind the screens of the Games, watching as his tributes die.

Allison, from District One, has a way with the sponsors. Just a word placed here or there, stealthily dropped into conversation, and she can get her tributes the shit they need.

In his time as a Mentor, Klaus has developed a habit of drinking to get through the Games, and through the rest of his life, really- anything to avoid the truth of what's happening, the ghosts of the children he and Ben have sent to their deaths.

Once the Kenobi floodgates are opened, they cannot be closed. Cody has apparently been keeping an itemized list of disagreements, and he is determined to tell Rex each and every one of them.

Kenobi refuses to listen to Cody’s input. Kenobi throws himself into battle with no regard for previously established battle plans. Kenobi uses the Force so recklessly and obviously that every undercover assignment is blown within the first few minutes. Kenobi is a hypocrite who berates Cody for sidestepping protocol, but flouts it himself at every opportunity.

His father died when he was a kid, and as said his mother died a couple years ago in current time. Takuya is the strongest family tie he has now.

Works as a budget analyst 🤸‍♀️ Between that well paying job, and inheriting his parent's fortune when his mother died- that's where his wealth comes from.

Another reason he wants to pay for things is simply b/c he doesn't want Sorella to stress about money.

Met Sorella at her work, she hit on him first, he immediately asked her out.

Bonus fact no. 6, has been skiing since he learned to walk. But doesn't get to do it as much these days. Just too busy :((

happy monday friends! it’s been a day - two coffees, the store i needed to go to was closed, and i just burnt dinner :( but we persist! and in an effort to raise my spirits, i thought i’d share another pollie snippet with you all, featuring the moodboard requested by @saturnwisteria 🖤

I tentatively finished the last springtime chapter so that arc is done and ready to post at around 58k words total 🙌 and now I can work more on the summer chapters!! And the summer art for that matter!

Which, I've already written about 17k words for summer :3 there's two chapters in it that I've been very lovingly reworking over and over until they're perfect, super excited to share them eventually

and the autumn arc is at about 24k words currently though a lot of it is left to be written still. A lot of notes to myself, and a lot of meaty scenes that I need to fill in the gaps to :3 but yay yippee yay
