Sound Designers for film/tv have to create original sound elements through foley art and field recording; and provide all required sounds that accompany the action-taking place on screen. Our job begins once the picture is edited. We are responsible for mixing and synchronizing all dialogue, sound effects and music to the picture. ——— On larger productions there are several members of the audio post production team. In charge of the post-production sound for a film or tv show; the supervising sound editor or sound designer is a department head who oversees the entire post-production sound crew.
