i really like ur writings🤭 and i’m happy bc finally someone writes male reader stories
anyway!! i would like to request a sae x gamer/streamer m!reader fic, where the reader is a big gamer and also a twitch streamer, how did sae get along with that, how does sae take it when the reader doesn't pay attention to him because he's playing / chatting with his friends on discord🫣 sorry if i write something wrong english is not my first language😔 had a good day!!
sae itoshi x male!streamer!reader
tysm anon! i’m glad you enjoy my stuff! i also hope you enjoy this and that it’s to your satisfaction
tags: male reader, established relationship, jealous and overthinking sae, surprise! sae also sucks ass at communicating, also lowkey self-indulgent since i secretly dream of being a streamer, doing a different format than what i typically do
sae knows he’s being hypocritical but he simply can’t help it.
he saw the way you would hole yourself up in your office, streaming for several hours straight almost every day. sometimes you wouldn’t even get out to take a break.
you could’ve given yourself a much more laidback schedule thanks to sae’s success and wealth. instead you chose not to rely on him financially and prioritized your self-independence and stability. the only thing you really accepted from him career-wise was the massive clout boost that came with being his boyfriend. not to mention, you just loved the career path you chose, even if it did make you stressed sometimes. so you were more than fine with committing a lot of effort into it despite his insistence.
he understands and relates to how busy your lifestyle can get, yet he can’t help but feel a little neglected when he rarely sees you outside your office during the day and knows you don’t have much time free time to spend with him.
and perhaps he did feel jealous whenever he overheard you and your other streamer friends voice calling and playing games, laughing and cracking jokes with each other.
ugh he hated the idea that he could get jealous at all. he knows he should be more rational about this. he’s supposed to be the rational one! but he can’t help it. you’re his boyfriend! you should be spending your time with him. laughing and making jokes with him.
it’s gotten so bad that he even felt annoyed by your viewers fawning over you. he knew feeling a threatened by them was crazy because who the hell doesn’t know you’re sae itoshi’s boyfriend. anyone would be crazy to try to come in between that. plus he has plenty of his own simps going insane over him. so he of all people should be more than aware of what it’s like to be with someone who’s famous and very out there in the world. he should especially expect this when he’s dating such a good looking guy.
sae has rarely felt insecure about himself either. until his mind started spiraling and he manages to convince himself that he isn’t interesting enough to be with you compared to your gamer friends. he definitely doesn’t say anything to you about it since he doesn’t want you think he’s weak because of it. instead he lets those overcooked insecurities build up even more and more in his head until he starts believing them.
one day he noticed your office door slightly cracked open so he peeked his head in to see you streaming. which you then noticed from the corner of your eye.
“sae!” you spun your chair around to face him. you quickly took off your headphones, forgetting to mute the microphone, and held your arms out with a big smile. “come here baby!”
he was surprised and flustered from your enthusiastic response. how could he not be when he’s been living with those negative ideas about the relationship for a while that he’s gotten so used to them. he reluctantly walked over to you to which you wrapped your arms around his neck, making him bend down to your eye level.
“i’m so sorry i’ve been so busy lately,” you said before cupping his face and planting kisses on his cheeks. “i promise i’ll make it up to you.” his face softened as he felt his worries wash away thanks to your words and kisses.
“alright,” he nodded. everything’s going to be alright. he watched your screen from the corner of his eye as the live chat started going crazy, with a slight smirk on his face.
a.n: when i got this request, i was also working on a much bigger sae fic which should be coming out in a few days or so. it’s currently 2k+ words. so stay tuned and if anyone wants to be tagged when it’s posted, let me know!
i also don’t think i can post a fic without using read more. i always write so fucking much.

Suguru Geto Playlist
Our sad princess with a disorder :( Geto is another one of my favorite characters of all time (which tracks because I am, in fact, a Gojo kin.) This playlists was a little sad to construct, a curation for an incredibly sensitive soul.
Never has a musician talked about regretting what feels inevitable more than Mitski, a theme that suits Suguru very well. A handful of tracks by her are on this playlist.
As you may be able to tell from earlier posts, I have incredibly strong opinions when it comes to the music I HC characters would listen to. One of my strongest is that the Hidden Inventory trio listened to Radiohead together. Not only do I think the somber, dead-end-feeling lyricism would resonate with them, but sonically I think it also just fits the entire aesthetic of Hidden Inventory well. All three of them have a few tracks I think suit them on their playlists. Geto's are Let Down, Where I End and You Begin, and Just, though a few more may be added overtime. These playlists are always being tweaked.
Enchanting Ghost by Sufjan Stevens makes an appearance on here. Think of Satosugu while you listen to this one. That is all.
A lot of sad girl music on here, but some highlights include: thousand eyes by FKA twigs (think about Gojo keeping an eye on Geto after he defected... yeah), Vampire Empire by Big Thief, listen before i go by Billie Eilish, Mirror Forever and Picture Me Better off of Titanic Rising (a very Geto album) by Weyes Blood, and Morning Dew by Kelsey Lu.
I hope someone enjoys this playlist :)

Hellos. I have been spending the past twenty minutes looking at all the junkyard phantom stuff you have posted and mmmmmmm is so fuckin good!! I had a couple questions. 1. Do you have any plans for junkyard phantoms merch? I went to your merch store hoping for some but there wasn't any (although that Miku sticker is mighty tempting.) 2. I was thinking of making some playlists based on the characters since you made the playlist cover art things. Do you have any kind of music that you think each of them like or should I just go off vibes? Thank you for making such wonderful art:)
wah thank you!!! i've thought about making oc merch but i don't have any solid plans for it at the moment - something i've considered is if i ever make a junkyard phantoms comic (THEORETICALLY. NO GUARANTEE FOR THAT) i'd like to set up some kofi memberships for people who want to support the comic, then maybe have some merch or a sticker club as a part of the membership benefits! no guarantee for that right now tho lol right now i'm just having fun drawing them in my free time
as for music, i have my own playlists for them but i'll probably keep those to myself rn because my spotify is embarrassing lmao. but if you wanna make your own i'm cool with that, so here are some ideas for ya:
Check: there are a lot of genres in my playlist for Check but most of the songs are a bit slower and more thoughtful. this is usually the playlist i listen to while driving on empty roads at night if that gives you an idea of what it's like. some select songs are cul-de-sac by glass beach, House of Mirrors by Softcult, Reproductive by Shamir, and Mother by Anjimile
M8: M8's playlist has a lot of instrumental tracks on it, but most of the songs are either slow and nostalgic or overwhelming and electronic (this is a genre i call "robot headache"). some select songs are I'm Going To Go Back There Someday from the original Muppet Movie, Uncanny by Ghost and Pals, A Human's Touch by TWRP, and BaBopByeYa by Janelle Monáe
Lucy: Lucy has a lot of math rock, psychedelia, and shoegaze in their playlist - the vibe for Lucy's music is very much "overwhelming inner turmoil." some select songs are Let Me See by Morcheeba, Fundamentally Unlovable by Tiger Really, I Been Young by George Clanton, and Andromeda by Weyes Blood
#most of these songs choices are things i associate with them and maybe not necessarily music THEY would want to listen to#but tbh there's probably a pretty big overlap#fernasks#junkyard phantoms

Music Recs (for writing)
I thought it would be fun to make a post of the type of music I listen to when I'm writing while also providing music recommendations cause i love finding new music myself. obviously I'll add more as I go along
I use music to help with feelings (like angst, love, fluff, etc) since I struggle conveying those naturally and I only really use apple music because spotify has always evaded me, so I'm literally just going to write each song and then link it on youtube 😭
also heads up, my music taste is EVERYWHERE so there is no rhyme or reason to any of this
Fluff/Happy Mix:
Fall On Me by R.E.M.
Fresh by Daft Punk
Keep Feeling Fascination by The Human League
Around and Around by John Denver
Sultans of Swing by Dire Straits
Feel It All Around by Washed Out (don't mind me, just adding Washed Out's entire discography here)
You'll See It by Washed Out
Angst:
Veridis Quo by Daft Punk
Face to Face by Daft Punk
Wicked Game by Chris Isaak
It's Raining Again by Supertramp
Take The Long Way Home by Supertramp
Eyes Without a Face by Billy Idol
Goodbye Again by John Denver
Bittersweet Symphony by The Verve (this is a very specific type of angst I feel)
Belong by Washed Out
Phone Call by Washed Out (this version of the song can only be found on youtube)
You and I by Washed out (again, this specific version is only on youtube)
Clap Intro by Washed Out
What Once Was by Hers
Just Wait Til Next Year by John Maus
Sprawling Idiot Effigy by Nero's Day at Disneyland (I do not suggest you listen to this one unless experimental music is your thing cause I tend to listen to Nero's Day at Disneyland when I am too under-stimulated to write)
(In) Love:
Love Story (Instrumental) by Lana Del Ray (I put this on loop for hours it's such a beautiful instrumental)
Digital Love by Daft Punk
Cheri Cheri Lady by Modern Talking
There Is a Light That Never Goes Out by The Smiths
Linger by The Cranberries
Annie's Song by John Denver
The ENTIRE Paracosm album by Washed Out (trust me on this one it all flows as one song)
Eyes Be Closed by Washed Out
Amor Fati by Washed Out
Everything in You by Adventure Time (ft Half Shy) (the Fionna and Cake series ruined me)
Nights in White Satin by The Moody Blues, London Festival Orchestra
Baby I'm Yours by Cass Elliot
Stay by Oingo Boingo
Spice 😈:
not a lot of this yet since i tend to listen to my BG music when writing smut
Lose Yourself to Dance by Daft Punk
Make Love by Daft Punk
Hurt/Comfort:
Something About Us by Daft Punk
Instant Crush by Daft Punk (ft. Julian Casablancas) (I really like Daft Punk)
Why (12" Version) by Carly Simon
Gypsy by Fleetwood Mac
Dreams by Fleetwood Mac
Back Home Again by John Denver
Poems, Prayers, and Promises by John Denver (I also really like John Denver)
Kids by MGMT
The Ghost Inside by Broken Bells
Andromeda by Weyes Blood
Luck by Washed Out
Far Away by Washed Out
Fly Away by John Denver
General Scene Building/BG:
now this is my favorite part since these are what I use most often when writing. you can pick out obvious tone indicators here in the titles 😭
a way i've learned to tap into certain feelings for when i'm writing is by using my own feelings on personal experiences, so a lot of these playlists i'm linking I have a lot of personal connection to (also because they're all so damn specific)
you're inside the last memories of a dying person (playlist) by nobody
you're an astronaut lost in space (playlist) by nobody
i feel like i've been here before (playlist) by nobody
|| nobody here || Silent Hill fog core playlist by Armand Tormo
February 22, 2001 - A liminal playlist by Dan
recalling moments of a christmas that never happened (playlist) by nobody
you're visiting the grave of an old friend while remembering the moments you spent together (playlist) by nobody
you found a place where spring is eternal (playlist) by nobody
you're staring at the ceiling while creating romanticized stories in your head (playlist) by nobody
you're walking under the golden trees watching the melancholic leaves dancing in the air (playlist) by nobody
Lost in the Poolrooms (a visual vaporwave mix) by K1K1n
Music for Vibin' on Jupiter's Hydrogen Sea (vaporwave mix) by olimar124
Unknown Songs (Lost Media Comp.) by Christopher Cherigo (one of my hyperfixations is unknown songs lololol)

Albums That I Listened to in January 2024
Last month, I made the first of what I plan to be a series of twelve posts where I share what albums I listened to in the month before then and what I thought about them.
Here are the twelve albums that I listened to this month:
Titanic Rising - Weyes Blood (2019)
When We Were That What Wept for the Sea - Colin Stetson (2023)
3D Country - Geese (2023)
Middle Cyclone - Neko Case (2009)
In Colour - Jamie xx (2015)
Atlanta Millionaires Club - Faye Webster (2019)
Color Me Country - Linda Martell (1970)
Madison - Sloppy Jane (2021)
Marquee Moon - Television (1977)
Heaven or Las Vegas - Cocteau Twins (1990)
Fantasies - Metric (2009)
In My Own Time - Karen Dalton (1971)
Here's how I'd rank these albums:
Madison - I decided to give this album a listen purely out of curiosity because of how fascinated I was by the story behind how it got made. For those of you who are unaware, songwriter Haley Dahl and her band Sloppy Jane recorded this album in the Lost World Caverns in West Virginia over the course of two weeks, and for an album that was recorded in a literal cave, it's excellent. The orchestral, art pop compositions are absolutely beautiful, and Haley is a great lyricist whose ability to convey certain emotions and experiences with such visceral imagery and usage of symbolism throughout multiple tracks is something I admire and respect. Going into this album knowing that it was recorded in a cave adds to the atmosphere of the album, too. While listening, I couldn't help but imagine Haley and company playing these songs in a dark cavern in the middle of the night. I could go on about this album and how much I love it for pages, but I these posts are already kind of long as it stands, and I don't want it to be any longer. Definitely give it a listen, especially if you're as big of a Kate Bush fan as I am, because this has her influence all over it. 10/10
2. Middle Cyclone - Ever since I discovered her music last year before I started this personal challenge, Neko Case has quickly become one of my favorite artists and this album only further demonstrates to me why I've come to love her work so much. The way she blends together indie rock and country scratches an itch for me; and much like in her album preceding this one, Fox Confessor Brings the Flood, Middle Cyclone demonstrates Neko's incredible lyricism, particularly her ability to convey emotional rawness and human vulnerability in such a straightforward, yet eloquently profound way. Given that this is also what I would consider Neko Case's most accessible album, I would highly recommend anyone who hasn't already listened to her work to check this album out - especially if you're a fan of artists like Julien Baker, Lucy Dacus, or Adrienne Lenker who I think all owe a part of their sound and success to her. 8/10
3. In My Own Time - Karen Dalton is, in my opinion, one of the most underrated artists of the 60s and 70s and deserves more recognition than what she gets. Only the second album she ever released in her lifetime, there's something especially pleasant about her different covers of these songs (Yes, this is a covers album - Karen didn't really write or record original material). It makes me feel like I am sitting in a living room in a house on the countryside watching the snow fall in the winter or the leave rustling in the breeze in the summer. Not to mention that Karen has a beautiful alto voice. I actually like some of these covers better than their original versions. If you're looking for late sixties/early seventies folk music to listen to, I would recommend checking this album out. 9/10
4. Fantasies - Metric is a band that has been on my radar for a while now, but for some reason, I haven't gone out of my way to listen to any of their albums in full until now. All of the tracks go pretty hard, and I really like Emily Haines' voice. My favorite band Paramore cited Metric as an influence for their most recent album This Is Why, and I can definitely see where they were inspired. If any of you like Paramore or Yeah Yeah Yeahs, I would definitely give this album a listen. 7/10
5. Titanic Rising - This album sounds like walking through an antique store that is faintly playing old obscure 80s music on its loudspeakers as you gaze over the various items decorating each "room" in the store, the scent of vintage goods and old wood wafting through the air. Weyes Blood's voice reminds me of a cross between Eurhythmics' Annie Lennox and Enya, and the instrumentation and production on this album are stunningly beautiful. I was worried going into this album that I wouldn't be able to get into it because the tracks are all on the slower side in terms of tempo, but I actually found myself liking this one a lot. 9/10
6. Color Me Country - Linda Martell is an important figure in country music history who, despite her significance and the barriers she helped break down for black artists in the genre, has been oft forgotten. The first black artist in history to perform at the Grand Ole Opry, she only ever released one studio album - Color Me Country, in 1970. The album consists of pretty standard country music that was common at the time, with lyrical subject matter typical of the genre - but just because an album isn't sonically pushing the envelope, doesn't mean that it can't be good. I don't know what it was, but something lit up in me listening to this album and I really enjoyed what I heard. It makes me wonder what else she would have done had she continued her music career and released more material. Either way, this is a wonderful album from an incredible woman who deserves a lot more attention to her work. 7/10
7. 3D Country - This album sounds like a fusion between The Rolling Stones and Queen and I'm kind of living for it. It's genuinely good, fun, classic-styled rock music that doesn't take itself too seriously and has some really unique qualities to it. St. Elmo has been stuck in my head ever since I first heard it, and little embellishments like the harp on the title track really give this album its own personality. If you're somebody who primarily listens to older music who wants to try something newer or are just looking for more rock bands to get into, I recommend giving this album a try. 8/10
8. Atlanta Millionaires Club - Did you know that Faye Webster and I are the same age? I'm so used to artists either being older or younger than me that seeing someone around my age making music is both surprising and refreshing to me at the same time. This might be part of the reason why I clicked with this album a bit better than some of the other ones that I listened to this last month - Faye and I are in kind of the same place in life and due to us being the same age, and we probably share a similar perspective and experiences. It also helps that Faye is an adroit lyricist, and the chill indie rock instrumentation suits her voice well. The only issue that I have with this album is that the track Flowers near the end sounds jarring given how different it is from the rest of the album. 8/10
9. When We Were That What Wept for the Sea - This album gaslit me into thinking I have synesthesia. No really, I'm serious - I listened to this album while driving at night and I remember during the beginning of either Infliction or Passage I started smelling freshly brewed coffee. I didn't have any coffee in the car with me and I was not in an area where there would be any coffee brewing nearby. It was wild. And then after that it started smelling like the produce section of a grocery store in the beginning of the second half of the album. Anyways, this experimental ambient album by saxophonist Colin Stetson was really interesting to listen to and there are a lot of cool details scattered throughout each song. It wasn't what I was expecting at all, but it was a pleasant surprise. It would probably pair well with the flute album Andre 3000 put out last year. 8/10
10. Marquee Moon - This is a classic album that I see getting a ton of praise, so I figured I would give it a listen. It's a pretty good album, although the tracks sound a little bit samey at times. The two songs that stand out to me are Venus and the title track. 7/10
11. In Colour - The only solo album (As of right now) from The xx member Jamie xx makes for a fairly pleasant listening experience. Jamie seems to be veering slightly away from the indie rock elements of The xx's work and more into electronic and pop, incorporating some hip-hop influences along the way. The featured appearances all fit in nicely, and the album overall sounds like the chill cousin of Daft Punk's Homework. 8/10
12. Heaven or Las Vegas - Please don't take me ranking this album last as some indication that I don't like it. I actually enjoyed it - albeit think that it's overrated. The number of people that I have seen praising this album and talking about how great it is made me think that it was going to be some amazing, mind-altering experience to listen to, but it was really a series of (Super short) shoegaze-y pop tracks that are just good. I don't really get why people hype up Cocteau Twins so much. You would think that they invented sliced bread with the way some people talk about them. 7/10
So far, I've really been enjoying most of the albums that I listen to. I have a few albums in mind that I plan to listen to in full in February, but again, if anyone wants to recommend me anything, you are always welcome to leave a comment. :)

alrighty i don't rly know what to say so here's a bunch of random questions
1) what is your fave song of yours at the moment
2) have you watched walten files? orrr mandela catalogue? idk both have a kinda horror podcast vibe iykyk
3) mandatory question vampires vs werewolves, feel free to elaborate :3
4) im not sure if it was stated before but whats your favourite/most relatable Fear?
also taking the opportunity to say your art (talking about both pictures and music) is super cool and you're a very inspiring person in general!! hope you have good time tonight and get many interesting asks
(sorry for the colourful text lmao l just found out you could do that and it seems fun to me)
Giggles this is a delightful ask (full of delightful colors!! That really is fun)
1. Fav song at the moment idk if this counts but the wellness session music from Severence is crazy good and I've been listening to it on repeat. The other one at the moment is Movies by Weyes Blood (that I am actually about to make a music Monday post for!)
2. I haven't seen the Walten Files but I have seen a bit of the Mandela Catalogue which what I saw was very good and also very scary lol the eyes thing freaks me out a bit, gives me kind of a palinopsia where I can't get it out of my head so I haven't seen much of it
3. Both good for their own reasons, both I especially enjoy the "sire" aspect and I do really appreciate the predatory nature of both, among other things. Though I always pick werewolves at the end bc 1 nothing can beat the knot and 2 Big Doggies!! They are big silly doggey guys who can eviscerate you to shreds and I looovvee that. Get you a woofer who can hunt you down and is also a big cuddly doofus
4. For TMA this is a toughie bc Eye is really appealing I mean heck I get real curious by stuff to my own detriment (see: my curiosity for what TMA was about and ending up terribly disappointed when I finished it) and just the inherent Eye nature of the audience. Meanwhile Slaughter really speaks to me, along with Flesh (see: my meat posting tag) and also Spiral. I was scared for the longest time of being crazy but I'm now a lot more at peace with my crazy lol (however when it comes to trusting myself or even knowing myself... haha .. lol even) but okay back to Slaughter and Flesh. Slaughter bc I get that fun "very often triggered by very normal and mundane things" disease so I find myself wanting to go ape shit all the time. A little "can I kill your dad and also that loud noise" in these trying times. And Flesh? Partially bc I can be a bit of a masochist and I also just heavily subscribe to the idea of how our Meat Suits are what makes us "present." Like for a while I struggled with my identity and who am I when I'm present and what does that even mean to begin with. In the end I think it's what's going on with your meat and in your meat space, and I find a lot of grounding and meaning in that. (Heh, ground meat) You are who's experiencing the Meat
And thank you!! That makes me happy to hear that I'm inspiring in any way. I am always trying to inspire myself to do the things I wanna do so I'm glad I can spread that around to others too. Thank you for the kick ass ask!
#asks#hehe yay!#maybe went a little too into the fears thing tbh tho thats something i could talk a lot about#im terrified all the time always so theres a lot of fear in me to dwell on lmao

I am taking this opportunity to finally say a proper hello even though we've been mutuals for a while xD
when you get this you have to post 5 songs you actually listen to then send this ask to 10 of your favourite followers 🌃
HIII thank you!! Ok first off, we don't talk much but whenever I see bing crosby christmas music, which is often in december, I do think of your blog! Is that weird? I just know him as "that guy the nice writer community blog likes" /positive! Spotify gives me ads for his music and I'm like oh! that's him! the guy!
Anyways, my top 5 songs right now are probably as follows!!! I'll send this around but also consider it open if anyone just wants to add on their top 5 right now! ALSO if you don't get it it's not a "you aren't my favorite" thing, I'm just never sure how to go about tag games where I have to choose people!!!
-Ohio by Cherry Glazerr (very good grunge, reminiscent of riot grrrl but more modern alternative). In music, I tend to be very lyrically drawn in and this song is an exception. there's not much here, but I still adore this song!
-Hold Me Down by Gin Blossoms. Just 90's rock. Gin Blossoms kind of write the same songs over and over again but this one, Hey Jealousy (their main hit), and Found Out About You slap. if eh-quality one hit wonder 90's rock is your thing, which it is very much my thing, then you'll like it. I think this song really encapsulates that 'I'm at a party and I'd really rather not be but I guess I'll try to have fun even though I rpobably won't' feeling.
-White Blank Page cover by Haster, original by Mumford and Sons. Rock cover, but the original is SO GOOD. Such a great song. A bunch of great covers of it out there, too. Something about the lyrics is so heart-wrenching to me. "Tell me now, where as my fault in loving you with my whole heart?" hits every single time.
-'Tis the Damn Season by Taylor Swift. Not really a christmas song, though the title may lead you to think otherwise. Unless you count christmas as a somewhat sardonic and disconsolate personal account of visiting an old flame during the holidays. IMO one of her best songs, though evermore in general is a boon for anyone who preferes her flowery, more literary narrative-driven storytelling. I have a wip based on this song somewhere, kind of touching on that theme of meeting up with someone though it's probably for the worse and you both know it, but you also can't stop it.
-Andromeda by Weyes Blood/Lungs by Stella Donnelly/Road Head by Japanese Breakfast. Three for one here because I've been listening to all of them about the same this week! Really good songs.

January
So after no December entry my January was still pretty rough. But I think it’s interesting how comforting and chill my January Favorites are compared to Novembers. Also RIP Angelo Badalamenti whose twin peaks soundtrack I mentioned in the last post.
Instrument
So after tweeting that I have a feeling a harmonica would really fit my vibe I bought a used one for 5€. (The seller was super cute) My favorite song to play is Piano Man by Billy Joel, which was also the inspiration for me getting one. To be honest I had no idea how harmonicas worked, but after finding out they come in different keys and mine was in B I got the same model in C. And then I fell into a rabbit hole. Because the model I got is discontinued and has been around for a long time, and both of them have different cases so one of them has to be from before 2004 and could even be a lot older. I’m still on a quest to find out so any harmonica experts please hit me up! (It’s the Hohner Piccolo) Also, I really want to buy one of those holders so I can play freehand.
Music
I have a really hard time listening to new music but I came back to an artist I really liked a few years ago. Weyes Blood isn’t really my typical genre of music, but to me her songs don’t feel like singular pieces but like a big body of work so it’s easier for me to listen to her new stuff, because it feels so familiar. I used to be obsessed with her Album and album Artwork for Titanic Rising. (There is a cool youtube video about the making of.) I even wrote my bachelors thesis about her music video Movies. Her new Album And in the Darkness, Hearts Aglow has stunning visuals and my favorite new song is God Turn Me Into a Flower, because same. But my favorite overall is probably Something To Believe In. (Like last month this is your cue to listen along)
Game
As a kid I never got into Professor Layton even though I was a nintendo kid and LOVE puzzles. Because it was available on mobile we kind of started with Pandoras Box so I’m missing some of the lore here and have no idea why a grown man is travelling with some kid stranger. But I’ll assume that Luke has not been kidnapped and forced to solve riddles for this older man but is just having a fun time. I really wish instead of talking about work it would be acceptable in real life for people to just give you a fun little riddle immediately after introduding themselves. Maybe I should just start doing that.
Show
Oh god here we go… I became obsessed with Bluey this month. Bluey is supposed to be a kids show about a cartoon dog family, but to me it feels more like a family sitcom that just happenes to be dogs. Where other kids shows thrown in a few jokes for the parents here and there Bluey really seems to be equally aimed at everyone. The situations and characters feel really real because the creators aren’t afraid to give them flaws. Even Bluey herself (She’s a girl) isn’t always the good guy. (Also if you draw human Bluey fanart please don’t giver her long hair, she’s always mistaken for a boy just give her short hair.) My favorite episode is Sleepytime, and IMDB users agree.
Food
This comes with a little disclaimer. I have been vegetarian for 9 years now, mostly because I just never liked the texture of meat and also because I don’t like the meat industry. But last year broke my streak like 3 times and never really regretted it. Because I never ate meat growing up I also never had the typical bacon and eggs breakfast. So one Sunday (while watching Bluey) we made that with coffee (which I also rarely drink) and IT WAS SO GOOD. So I’ll look out for vegan bacon maybe. But I think as long as it’s an exception I can have a big breakfast sometimes, especially when I’m having a hard time. (Also, butter your bread and put it in the oven for 5 minutes before the rest is done)
Thanks for reading and hopefully on to a better February!

hi! ive been listening to your playlist abt the wizard lately (“the only time when most people feel alive is when theyre suffering”) (very good btw. your mind….) and i was wondering if you had any other song/artist recs that have a similar sound/vibe!
OMG I HONESTLY FORGOT ABOUT THAT PLAYLIST... went back to it and kinda realized the vibe was all over the place HAHAHA but some of the songs there are bangers fr....
heres the playlist if anyone is curious. i made a whole post about each song and why i chose it but its probably so far back... ill add it later (lying)
mitski has a lot of good songs!! i feel like her and weyes blood sort of have a similar vibe ^^ theyre also the more well known artists among that playlist. i know mitski just released an album and rest assured that shit has destroyed me
PERHAPS... A LOT'S GONNA CHANGE BY WEYES BLOOD? its a very yw-coded song now that im lookin at it...
smokes a cigarette very solemnly.. oh yeah.. this hits harder after my novus rerun
I LOVEEEEE broadcast their songs are very calm and soothing... i found them through their 1997 album work and non work! my first song was the world backwards ^_^ you can try there and see if you like the way it sounds hehe
crumb has so many good songs.. u might have heard them from their song locket but if u havent GO CHECK IT OUT!! its a good song.. a good band. i also like tunnel (all that you had) from their most recent album ( ^ ^)b
the voidz' frontman is julian casablancas who is also part of the strokes which as you know. kinda popular BUT IF IT HELPS my first song of theirs was human sadness which is like an 11 minute song 😭 THEY MIGHT BE HIT OR MISS but i like em. havent listened to them in a while though
cusp is a band i found offhandedly from a video suggestion BUT I FOUND THEM FROM THEIR SPILL EP!!! u can check that out to see if thats to ur fancy...
steady holidays... oh my gaaawd i love steady holiday. SHE HAS A LOT OF GOOD SONGS!!! my favorites are eastern comfort, love and pressure, nobodys watching, trapping season...
fun fact i associate them with empyrea and cool ranch because thats all i would play when i ran those worlds LMFAO
ok sorry this was really long i just never get the chance to talk about music LMFAOOO BUT I HOPE THESE HELPED!!!
#val.answers#i forgot my fuckin tag name . whatever#also i updated the album cover and the desc to be more prettier#long post#i would make one for the pirate but i have. never gone past cool ranch#i wanna like pirate so bad but cool ranch. truly. kills me#but arent we getting more pitty stuff. so in this case YAYYYYYY YAYAYYYYY

Fashion Spotlight: Steven Stokey-Daley
Having already worked in the menswear design teams of both Alexander McQueen and Tom Ford, Steven Stokey-Daley had a range of experience that well prepared him for crafting a collection and brand identity of his own. We caught up with him recently to discuss his work, his collaboraiton with Harry Styles, and more so check it out.
If you could describe yourself in three words, what would they be?
Logical, tenacious, chaotic.
When did you know you wanted to start designing?
There wasn’t one singular moment. I genuinely believe I landed here by chance. I decided on a whim to apply for the fashion program at the University of Westminster. Fashion, as a practise, nicely merges my interests in art, theatre and craft. I suppose I have always been obsessed with the practise of planning and executing my own ideas from start to finish, as a production or project - I love the feeling of pushing myself and taking on more than I can handle and, for me, design is the perfect outlet for that.
What sparks your creativity and where do you find inspiration?
I think I have an overactive mind. The inability to focus on one thing at a time means that almost everything and anything inspires me? My work tends to reflect my infatuation with public school culture and I enjoy subverting this traditional, decadent British traditionalism and putting my own twist on it. I usually view this elitism, that I’ve only ever seen from afar and in films and theatre, through a homosocial lens. Music gives me a lot of inspiration too, I always have music playing in my studio while i’m working. I find it difficult to work without it.
Can you tell us how your collaboration with Harry Styles came about?
I sent my lookbook to Harry Lambert, Styles’s stylist, after I saw an Instagram call-out that Lambert had posted inviting young designers and graduate designers to send him their work for the chance to be included in upcoming projects of his. Luckily he liked some of my pieces and thought they’d be good for Harry Styles’ upcoming music video, but of course there was no guarantee that they would definitely be picked for Harry Styles to wear in the video. Harry Lambert is a huge supporter of students and small brands and both Lambert and Styles have been incredible in supporting my work. I feel so lucky to have had that opportunity and I’ll be so thankful to Harry Lambert for giving me that opportunity.
What do you listen to in the studio?
A real mix - it's quite mood-dependent sometimes. Right now I'm listening to a lot of Kate Bush, Shygirl, Niki & The Dove, and Weyes Blood. I usually put on my studio Spotify playlist: S.S.DALEY AW21.
2021 plans? What’s next for you?
I’m currently working on a new offering for A/W 21 and I’ve had the pleasure of working with Harry Lambert again for an exciting upcoming project. Yes, I am being purposefully vague.
Check out Steven's online shop here and keep and eye out for his upcoming project!
