So! For this, we’ll assume Zoke doesn’t exist. Or that Pointy likes Zoey, but Mal doesn’t. Yay, because I don’t like Zoke!

Now, let’s assume (almost) everything plays out like in canon. You’re placed on the Heroes Team, due to “NEVER letting you and Jo be ANYWHERE near each other again. Seriously, how did you even get in there?”

Proximity to Mal: increased.

Of course, Evil Dread plays out like usual. However, the newly-emerged Mal decided “hey, I like this crazy son of a bitch! Why did Mike even go for Zoey?” and, well, suffice to say, he likes you.

He gets close to you (and away from Zoey and Cameron, who could tell if Pointy’s out) under the guise of making friends. Oh, he is making friends. More than friends.

The moment he truly falls in love with you is the moment he catches you changing the password on Sierra’s phone(s). Someone like you will rule beside him on the Dark Throne™️ he plans on buying with the million!

Cue everyone’s stuff getting stolen, and regifted to you with slightly sappy, slightly threatening letters. Don’t worry, Dudcan will be getting the blame for this. He’ll make sure of it.

He stands extremely close to you in challenges, often keeping a hand on one shoulder or on your waist. Sometimes he’ll even sabotage ones you struggle in.

Of course, you help him out with his more legal schemes. Taking stuff and putting it in the bags of others, deleting Sam’s save files, uploading Noco (i do NOT ship it) to Sierra’s phone, and being generally horrible people. The explosions and attempted murders are kept from you, though.

If you have any enemies, don’t worry! They’ll be in for HELL. Mal will mess with them in so. Many. Ways. Turning their friends/allies/partners against them, sabotaging challenges, even bribing Chris if he finds a way. And believe me, he WILL.

Now, as for changes to canon.

Sundae Muddy Sundae is not horrible now. He keeps the chart a secret, as so to torment Pointy with Zoey’s elimination. As a result, the game comes down to The Evil Troublemakers vs Courtney’s Polycule. Unfortunately, there’s probably another episode added between this and the penultimate one, leaving either you, Scott or Gwen gone. We’ll go with Gwen for this.

In the penultimate episode, Chris decides who goes to the finale: Courtney and Mal.

Expect Chris’s “cottage” to be blown up once again. Or worse (better), his hair gel to be replaced with something like mud. Or you could expect to see Chris with some new burgundy scars. Something of the sort.

Anyways, Courtney vs Mal finale. Courtney wins. Better than canon.

No reset button. Somebody decides to bring another alter out, possibly by dropping him off a cliff so Svetlana HAS to come out or they’ll die. Either way, no reset button.

After the show, Mal does sometimes emerge (under supervision) to meet up with you. Expect stories of juvie, horror movie marathons and Gamer Rage™️.

I think alenoah is similar to aleheather in the fact that they are both great rivals to lovers' ships. While I feel like alenoah started out as perhaps a crackship of sorts, I think if it had been cannon to any extent, it wouldn't have been a bad relationship.

Just like aleheather, I feel like it would be entertaining to see how Noah and Alejandros' relationship would grow, especially if Noah had been kept in the game after the I See London... episode. I feel like Noah would would try and convince the rest of Team Chris is Really Hot that Alejandro is bad news, but would fail for the most part, only having Owen somewhat believe him. I feel like the dynamic between Alejandro and Noah would be interesting if Noah continuously failed to convince his other teammates that Alejandro couldn't be trusted.

We could be given many comical scenarios of Noah failing to convince other contestants and Alejandro teasing him for failing. I feel like their dynamic would be similar to Alejandro and Heathers, with the distrust and flirting. Overall, it wouldn't be too different from Aleheathers dynamic, besides the fact that Noah isn't as "villainous" as Heather, so that's a difference that could possibly make the relationship better and maybe move it along quicker? (I don't think it'd harm the relationship any, perhaps they'd get together sooner than Alejandro and Heather though)

Now I don't know where Noah would be eliminated if he wasn't Eliminated in the I See London... episode. I feel like maybe instead of not eliminating him, we bring him back for merge instead of Blainley. (No offense to Blainley lovers, but she was very much, in my opinion, a filler character.) For obvious reasons (aka Heather deserved to win.) Noah wouldn't make it to the final two, maybe final four? (Perhaps replacing Sierra?) Honestly, I'm not too sure.

Personally I like this ship, and it is my favorite out of all Canon and non-canon total drama ships. I'm not sure why it's so appealing to me, but it is my favorite, so perhaps I'm slightly biased. But looking at it from a purely analytical view, I don't think the ship is bad in the slightest and would rate it a good 8.9/10

ok I've been thinking about ridoncuous race lately(blame the noco nemma discourse. pls get a hobby @ those ppl 😭😭) and im just thinking about what I'd change. not going into what I'd do for all of td bc atp I'd probably need to just rewrite the show(as tempting as that is I have like. a life i like living) bit rr there's just 2 major things.

firstly Noah's overall writing. hear me out, he was good especially in the one liners department but some things were just. like him being low-key a dick to Owen sometimes. he does have the casual mean-ness to him(samesies) with friends there were moments that were. like what. also nemma. if I could be as radical as possible and push my Sapphic agenda I'd have lesbian emma with a whole arc about it bc it would've been so good. the whole "I mess up every relationship I have with a guy by dating one's I know are shitty or just messing stuff up myself to find and excuse to end them" and "omg I've just been gay the whole time" would've been so good on her character. did my queen dirty. and with that I'd make nowen canon bc out of the Noah ships it's probs the best(not my favorite per say but just the best chemistry and canon wise).

but playing by network rules I'd just give them better chemistry. from memory(idk its been a while) I think they just have them sarcastic banter and then. Noah was all mushy. and emma was into the pathetic boyfailure of it all. which yk pathetic boyfailure is what he is(tho I tend to read him as gay. disaster bisexual works too). but Noah has the whole sarcastic banter with other charactets. like they could've given us more to work with is my point instead of rushing in with nemma to plug up the nowen and lesbian emma allegations(shout-out to the anon on total drama takes with that submission, you're my personal hero).

also I'd make the police cadets not police. as far as police goes they're not bad themselves considering MacArthur doesn't even believe in the institution herself and sanders just wants to do good but is ultimately misguided. but man like could've made them P.I.s trying to prove themselves after getting kicked off the force(I do hc they eventually leave).

heya , i saw your breakdown of wandjina's misuse in F/GO and wanted to ask about yurrlungur / " the rainbow eyed girl " from fate requiem and her depiction .

Well, it should once again be noted that, while I am Australian, I am NOT of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent. So just like my wandjina post, I am coming at this from an outsider's perspective. Any Aboriginal person is 100% in their right to correct on anything in this post.

The main issue here is that "the rainbow eyed girl" in question has yet to have an adequate amount of appearances in the light novels, so there's not much for me to work with. Also that I haven't read the Requiem series yet (Fate/Strange Fake is what caught my attention instead oops). And from what I've looked into, she hasn't been canonically confirmed to be a Rainbow Serpent.

But there is still something I can look at: her design. First thing noticed: why she is she so PALE. I know Japan knows that Australia's Aboriginal people are dark skinned. I went to Tokyo Disneyland. I rode It's A Small World. The Aboriginal models there were dark-skinned, which means it is possible to get the information in Japan that Aboriginal people long ago were all people of colour. TYPE-MOON PLEASE. Whatever, whatever, this is Fate: my disappointment is immense but not unexpected etc etc.

The second thing: those do NOT look like clothing of Aboriginal people. It looks like NOCO (the artist for Requiem) looked up 'native clothing' on, like, Pinterest and used whatever popped up. Now look, Aboriginal Australians are an incredibly diverse group. What's true for one culture is not the same in another. So there's a variety of traditional clothing. But look at this photo below I found on Pinterest when searching 'Aboriginal clothing'. I'm crying from how similar it looks to "the rainbow eyed girl's" top half.

The main point of contention I have with the design is the feathers in her hair. I have not seen, ever, feathers like that in any traditional Aboriginal attire. It seems more like NOCO has taken from Native American sterotypes and slapped it on an Aboriginal figure since both groups are 'natives' right? I did manage to find ONE picture taken during NAIDOC* week where a girl wore a headband like the woman in the above picture with a single feather attached right at the forehead area. Doesn't quite match, but it's the closest I got. This is why I would really like it if an Aboriginal person could pop up and correct me sobs.

I would love to attach pictures of traditional clothing worn by Aboriginal woman, but, uh ... Look, there would be a lot of female presenting nipples if I did and Tumblr famously doesn't like that. And most of what I find is what's worn during ceremonies and the like, so not indicative of what might've been worn on an average day.

I am glad though that NOCO decided to veer away from giving her any body art. Body painting is another aspect of Aboriginal culture so I was worried there would be some good old cultural misappropriation happening there but phew. We dodged a bullet. The bar is low but I'll take what I can get.

Her being a woman is fine. The thing with who you've named Yurrlungur is that there isn't just one of them. The Rainbow Serpent is NOT a singular entity. Each culture has their own version, which can differ wildly from telling to telling. Some Rainbow Serpents are depicted as men, some female, some bigender or some even with no gender mentioned. It's just when western anthropologists looked into compiling Aboriginal stories, they lumped all figures that qualified as 'Rainbow Serpents' into one as a mother goddess of sorts and dubbed it the Rainbow Serpent/Snake. Each culture has a different name for this figure as well, which is why I've decided to use the term Rainbow Serpent as more of an umbrella term.

Heck, not even all Rainbow Serpents are even snakes. This figure has been depicted as a variety of animals; however, it has NEVER been shown to have a human form. If Requiem's Anubis can be a jackal, then our suspected Rainbow Serpent could very well have just been a snake. (Though I am aware I'm asking too much from a fan service series that always needs to have it's female characters be Attractive™.)

Her water powers are accurate: Rainbow Serpents are associated with water, so good on them for that. I got nothing to say about her prosthetics: they're cool but not a problem.

Unlike with the Wandjina, there isn't any specific taboos on depicting Rainbow Serpents. So there isn't as much to say as there is with the wandjina post. But I am not entirely confident that Requiem will be anymore respectful towards the rainbow eyed girl than it was towards Nzambi. There is, after all, no culture that Type-Moon has been afraid to step all over.

it is seriously sad that there is such a lack of wlw content in general and it just makes me more sad that I'm part of the problem. Especially since I adore so many wlw ships but just... don't make content of them in favor of noco. Which already has plenty of content. I get so upset when I realize my favorite wlw ships, even the ones considered popular, lack content because they're drowned out by mlm ships. But I'm not even doing anything about it. What am I doing???

this isn't just total drama either this is in plenty of fandoms. in 6teen the top ship is jude/jonesy for like, 20 fics before you reach caitlin/nikki, which is ALONGSIDE jude/jonesy. mind u this fandom only has 200 fics. svtfoe is plagued with tomco fics. gf is filled with billdip (which is disgusting, if I may add).

if all you do on ao3 is search by f/f and m/m, you'll see that there are only 20% of f/f fics that there are of m/m fics. even m/f fics can't compare to m/m fics, only having 40% the amount. THERE ARE TWICE THE AMOUNT OF GEN FICS THAN F/F FICS

seriously sick of this. women deserve better. lesbians deserve better.

Hello, Love your fanfic Noco in Seven Minutes. This is not much of a an ask as more a recommendation. I think you might like ship Randy x Howard from the cartoon show "Randy Cunningham 9th Grade Ninja". By the way you're writing out the characters and describing their feelings in your fic etc, I get the vibe that you might enjoy the dynamic of Randy and Howard from this show. (btw this show is filled with gay jokes so yea).

Hello! Thanks for the compliment. I have not watched this show before, but I did ask some people about it. According to them, Howard is kinda mean (aka Noah), whereas Randy is very much a teenage boy (Cody.) So in that sense, maybe the dynamic truly is similar. Would I ship it? I don't know. It's possible. I don't really plan on watching the show, unfortunately, I'm not much of a show watcher. Other then *You*, which, along with *Too Hot to Handle* are the only shows I've ever kept up with in my life. Thank you for sending this ask in anyway, though.
