Hhhnggg I needed to get some ideas out…

Just some safety measurements that Dib installed and optimized throughout the years.

Anti-PAK Dib Device (APAK-DD)

V1 used to be a simple Signal Jammer: Capable of emitting a signal that disrupts the PAK’s normal operations. This jamming signal might temporarily disable the PAK or cause it to malfunction, giving Dib an advantage.

Dib used Gaz’ old GS 1 for that… she didn’t like that.

V2 Data Reader/Writer: Allows Dib to breach/hack into the PAK and read data from Zim’s PAK, download it for analysis, or even upload new code (APAK-Program) to change its behavior/corrupt it. ‘inserting’ a small USB-like device into the PAK.

V3 optimized: Dib still has full functionality over the PAK when the APAK-Program is active. Updated with integrated voice recognition allowing Dib to control the device hands-free by issuing verbal commands, making it more practical during a confrontation.

Dib did promise Zim at some point to refrain from activating the program, due to their ‘becoming friends thing’ and Zim hating how the program feels. However, Dib reserves the right to activate it in emergency situations or to annoy Zim.

Fun little note: Dib's PAK is actually fake- the resisty knew he needed one for his disguise, but his survival doesn't hinge on it. It does have weapons and a translator and all that stuff, but it's not a second brain for him.

Got that hella disturbing allure. It's giving me massive Mad Father vibes so all I can imagine is Dib and Zim as the Doctor and Maria. ALT-ZADR WEEK DAY 6: YOUR OWN AU

Hello, this will be my first time talking in detail about my AU, “Lovesick” but I would be really grateful if you read this all the way to the end, I'm putting a lot of effort and love into this project, and oh, by the way… this AU is aimed at mature audiences, since it will cover heavy topics such as cannibalism, rituals, depression, and more.

What is Lovesick about? “It’s been a decade since Zim and Dib first met, and both of them have changed a lot. Zim has suffered a drastic transformation: he is now aware that his mission is false, and is no longer part of the Irken Armada. On top of this, for some strange reason, he has become interested in occultism. On the other hand, Dib has turned into a bitter adult.

Dib has not been doing well in life, specially because of his constant nightmares that make him remember his childhood and the events he went through before meeting Zim. There is, however, a specific nightmare that torments him the most, one that involves his mother. Through these nightmares, Dib has realized that he has forgotten everything having to do with his mother, and now he wishes to know more about her. To his misfortune, the only one who can help him is Zim."

What do I have planned for Lovesick? My idea is to develop a completely free Indie RPG. If the demo is well received, I will continue to release more chapters; otherwise, it will remain as a single release. This is why I need as much support as possible. This is my first RPG, but I have basic programming knowledge, since I have studied about it. I will also be using RPG Maker, so the development will be slow and I’d rather not promise a release date. I’m doing this for fun and because I love Invader Zim.

What should you know about Lovesick?

Zim and Dib are clearly adults (Zim is 20 years old, and Dib is 22)

This series is based on the original show, so none of the events related to the movie are canon in this AU.

Dib will be the protagonist, but Zim will also have a significant presence on screen.

There will be multiple flashbacks through Dib’s dreams.

The events of the AU happen in the year 2011.

The AU will be primarily developed in Spanish and there is a possibility of voice acting (I don't promise anything). I want to make it clear that the voices will be based on the Latin dub, in which Zim's voice is done by a woman, and this will remain the same in the AU.

Yes, there will be an English version, and it will be released simultaneously with the Spanish version, so don't worry.

Why ZaDr?

Think of every worthwhile rival ship that has ever existed; dip it in a poison coating of cynical worldbuilding, sprinkle it with a topping of shunned existence, and let the devil kiss it with a waxy pair of slimy, scifi alien lips. Only then, will you  have yourself a sample of what ZaDr has to offer. These characters are compelling in themselves; one being a bizarre and paranormal obsessed clone of Earth's greatest scientific mind, the other a malfunctioning spaztic robot ant from beyond the stars. Each of them ostracized, for one reason or another, largely by virtue of their own passionate past mistakes.Those mistakes, failed efforts to be seen as worthwhile, to be praised, to be loved. But then you set them against each other, as enemies. As mirrored foils. Neither of them in the right, gray morality reigns supreme as they are�� purely obsessed with their own selfish reasons for self aggrandizement. Anything “good” that might happen as a result of their actions is always cast in the light of unintended circumstance. The true fight is with reality itself, while the sharp end of that crushing conflict is pointed towards the only one who could possibly understand what they’re going through. In the world of Invader Zim, every mentor, leader, parental figure, teacher, adult, child and Invader, feels more real by virtue of misanthropic absurdity. Their inability to provide the support and guidance for the main characters to function in a healthy way, is so very like the absence of nurturing many people feel in their youth. To anyone who has experienced life at its worst growing up, these caricatures of the real world provide a powerful sense of being seen. There is something radical about a story that isn’t written with any other moral than “ this living in society shit sucks”. That speaks to people, and continues to speak to me. ZaDr has always smacked of tragedy, in that you know things will end badly for everyone involved, but it’s still impossible to look away as everything is set ablaze. Two headstrong protagonists, locked in a battle of opposing wills and addictive delusion. It makes the sweetness sweeter, it makes the pains of grand fantasy ache deeper, knowing that these two characters are ultimately fighting losing battles for pitiful reasons.The denial of personal failure, the stubbornness to find purpose. In all of reality, all they truly have is each other. To see that dynamic and ship them is to say that love is possible even in the most dire of circumstances. Time and time again I find myself returning to ZaDr. I think something about the dynamic speaks to the part of us that knows things are wrong and that the fight against it is worthwhile. And that struggle, while futile, can still hold a tremendous amount of personal importance. It speaks to failing, and having the strength to get back up to try again. No matter the odds. For a pairing hated by its own creator, the fixation that Zim and Dib have on each other is an undeniable magnetism seen by the fandom since the launch of the cartoon, all the way back in 2001. This ship has staying power, and after over two decades has failed to fall into total obscurity.  Those touched by its effects have gone on to create resonant, deeply meaningful works. This blog, and the posts that I make on the topic, are my way of giving back to the ZaDr community. By displaying the stories of triumph and tragedy put forward by the IZ community, I hope to welcome new fans and give back to long standing fans by providing a living archive and blog space. I look forward to sharing the wonderful talents of so many artists with you all. Happy first ZaDr day of many
