deck of playing card-sized prints I ordered from artscow just came in a couple days ago! (of this piece)

gonna try handing these out at tennocon this year! I might also order another deck or two since I'm pretty happy with this one (though i might make some adjustments if i have the time who knows)

(oh yeah and these prints are secretly just on the backs of regular ass playing cards cause it's cheaper (and maybe a bit gimmicky?) lmao)

I was inspired to go with playing cards partially due to people's suggestions on the original art post, but also because of this small outer wilds nomai print I got randomly from Fangamer alongside my copy of Tunic for switch! I just really like the idea of a smaller print having rounded corners I guess (the artist is Elliot Bouriot btw)

I think purity culture has ruined fandoms: everyone is so ansty to prove how pure they are that they attack and harass people horribly and call it "activism". Be it people attacking teenagers in the Marauders fandom because there's this new rule you can't even write the words Harry Potter without summoning a hoard of naysayers who accuse you of endorsing holocaust or some shit just for liking something linked with Miss Black Mold, or be it people harassing SA victims who still dare say they find solace in their old NG's fandoms, in the stories they loved and made theirs from their childhoods or as adults. This uglyness that runs into tumblr and is infecting every fandom, every social media actually, is so fucking gross. Putting the blame of the evils of consumerism or rich people onto the single person reeks of late stage activism. No one knows what to do anymore, so we start eating each others, and then purity culture morphs into these extreme forms of harassment, that are becoming more and more normal by the day.

My delusion’s suffered a bit of a blow today, my brother works for a company that makes parts for a number of F1 teams, one of those is Red Bull (and Red Bull Powertrains). He gets a chance to pre order the 2024 team gear, not only have they already designed the normal team gear but they’ve also already designed the driver collections, including Checo merch.

yeah but that's not necessarily unexpected is it? checo is their current driver, he's contracted for another year, plus they literally went the entirety of last fall without saying a fucking word about daniel coming back, so even if they WERE planning on daniel for next year, there's not a chance in hell that they'd leak it early by making merch exclusively for daniel when checo's the one with the contract 😭
