This was a work Outlander event and posts. No way to determine how they feel about each other from today's Social media promotion. 12 minutes apart just shows it was a coordinated attack for audience involvement. When you have something about their connection unrelated to Starz, Outlander, then it will be interesting. But so far after 10 years, everything between these 2 still is work related. Nothing new. Even Sam coordinated his whisky event over the weekend to coincide with OL 'birthday'. It's all promotion. Do you have anything not related to Outlander showing a relationship?

I could really set my watch by you guys popping in here each and every time a breath of fresh air floats over this fandom. Since you seem to have a problem with people being happy about something, I figured out you'd actually be better hearing what I have to tell you:

Hasn't your Marketing Expert Supremo explained to you yet that The Kimpton Hotel & Restaurant Group, LLC is, in fact an international boutique hotel brand, based in San Francisco and owned by the InterContinental Hotels Group? Hasn't she explained to you that, as all the other international hotel brands, their marketing strategy is also focused on event management and planning, with a separate dedicated website to boot?

Hasn't she told you there is actually a dedicated event management and planning webpage on Kimpton Charlotte Square's website?

It features everything you'd need to properly organize any type of event. As is the case for a bajillion other luxury hotels all around the world:

You also seem to not be aware that such events are never planned last minute. He did not 'coordinate' anything, punk. The opportunity was there and he took it. As simple as that.

If you think you do God's work by trying your very own version of the Chinese water torture, i.e. asking the same damn questions over and over again, well...You have no idea how wrong and clueless you are, Anon. What makes you think people will actually engage with a broken record?

Ahaha lmao yeah the brainrot is real. ANYWAYS introducing Cozmic Starz! A Cosmic guardian on the run from the secontion of universe he was protecting after he failed. He spends his time now on earth in a form that takes heavy inspiration from Puzzles, spending most of his time over enjoying everything this world has to offer! He has two designs, the space theme is more optional for in the event I don't want to draw it, but in cannon he'll sometimes change his colors to not draw attention to himself.

Bro spends most of his dime downing a concerning amout of Pixy Stix and soda while binge watching TV, and really doing whatever sounds fun to him. He's definitely naive, but he's not stupid, and he's extremely dangerous if he wants to be, possibly even more dangerous than Cardinal [hint hint for pt 6]

When I say he's niave like, if you ask him to drink a gallon of gasoline he would do it, cuz he knows it won't affect him, but if you were to try and take his Connect star staff he would break every bone in your body. He also has a little companion named SodiPop! A blue Luma, I'll be showing them off here soon [I haven't made the ref yet FJJJSH] WHICH, Fun fact, all Cosmic guardians have a luma! It's assigned to then at birth! [Another hint hint for Galaxy if you haven't already connected the dots already]

Story wise he pops up in pt 5 and have a bigger role in pt 6, so I can't really provide a ton of lore but I'll probably still be drawing him a lot because guh I love his stupid ahh face.

Anyways I hope you look forward to him!!

Happy Birthday and First Anniversary to My Friendly Neighborhood!

Here, Gordon and Ricky are trapped in the Shadow Maze. If we ever get a sequel, I hope it takes place after the game's good ending, where Gordon, Ricky, the MFN Crew, and former MFN movie cast members are lured to another studio with the promise they're making a comeback movie. Plot Twist! It's the studio home to sets like the Shadow Saphire and The Mystic Maze. This forces everyone, led by Gordon, into the fight to 'save the world' from insane puppet invaders.

🧵 Outlander_Starz: The cannons include a little nod to Production Designer Mike Gunn and Set Decorator Stuart Bryce. Made originally for the battles in the first half of Season 7, Gunn and Bryce couldn't resist the opportunity to immortalize their names in metal when they were rebuilt for the market in Part 2.

🧵Outlander_Starz: Another Easter Egg: some of the background signs display the names of our hardworking and talented Outlander crew!

Not only are the signs an opportunity for the Art Department to have a bit of fun and feature their names in the show, but it actually helps with legal clearances too, moving them through much faster.

🧵 Outlander_ Starz: Who else was shocked seeing the usually so dignified Lord John battered, bruised, and a little bit unhinged?

To create the effect, David Berry traveled to London to have a mold taken of his face. Then, a prosthetic was made to fit over his eye (which, by the way, cut off his vision). Application took an hour.

"It looks very realistic," said Berry. "So realistic that the amount of sympathy and shock I got from people on set was quite a thing to experience."

🧵Outlander_Starz: I definitely feel for William but can we all agree he was a little bit messy this episode? So was the fight scene location.

Said Charles Vandervaart, "That was such a miserable day in terms of weather. There was so much rain. Lots of mud. I felt really bad for the wardrobe people because every time I would fall over I would just be covered in mud and they'd have to scrub it off for the next take. But it was also such a great day. I'm so fortunate to have great cast mates like Izzy and John."

🧵 Outlander_Starz: The drama continues for William at the brothel, where he meets the intriguing Arabella aka Jane.

For the screen, liberties were taken to highlight Silvia Presente's beautiful hair. Said Hair and Makeup Designer Ann McEwan, "Silvia's hair is gorgeous. Everyone was really happy with it... The producers wanted her hair down, which wasn't common for the time, but it suited the part and suited her."

🧵 Outlander_Starz: As for the brothel space, Production Designer Mike Gunn and Set Decorator Stuart Bryce opted for a dark, simple color palette, electing instead to build color and texture through textiles, props, and an abundance of flowers.

Conceptually, we just kept adding more and more. If you look closely, there are different layers of time within everything we put in that room.

There's some really ragtag, tatty looking stuff. There's some stuff that looks quite crisp and sharp.

The same goes for the flowers in the floral displays. We tried to make a visual feast of dark with pops of color everywhere. — STUART BRYCE, SET DECORATOR

🧵Outlander_Threads: In this episode, Jamie Fraser is reacquainted with the one and only George Washington, who bestows upon him a great honor: a promotion to Brigadier General.

Though WE of course know Jamie Fraser as the King of Men, the writers put a lot of thought into making sure his ascent up the ranks this season felt earned. I'm just glad the future President of the United States now sees Jamie the way that we do.

We've always shown Jamie as a revered leader... whether it be his guys at Prestonpans and Culloden-his Scottish guys that know he's a great leader-or his guys from the Ridge-his Ardsmuir guys that would follow him anywhere-he's always been the top dog. But now that he goes north and joins the revolutionary cause... he's kind of a nobody. He's in a much bigger army now...

We crafted it very purposefully to start him small as just one of the guys making suggestions but turning out to be right. Little by little, he proves himself... Snuggle Bug

Characters: 1610!Miles Morales x Black!Fem!Reader

Summary: Miles is such a snuggle bug.

Warnings: none :)

“How long has it been since you've seen the sun?” You jokingly asked Miles. Rather than his desk being filled with pens and sketchbooks, textbooks and pencils replaced them.

You watched in amusement as he lets out a scream, clearly not expecting you. “How did you get in here?”

“Well when two people love each other very much-” You were interrupted with a pillow thrown at you. “Okay, okay, no need to be so aggressive.” You looked over at his desk, “What test?”

“Uh Trig,” he responded.

You give out a wince to it. You never liked Trig or math in general. Plus the teacher was a hag with a terrible wig.

“Maybe you should take a break. Take a nap with me,” you suggest to him slyly.

“As much as I would love that, I have to study for this test next week,” he tells you. “But afterwards, I promise.”

You fix him a look and rolled your eyes, “Okay fine. In the meanwhile, can I look at my pictures?”

“Fine,” he huffed out and went back to studying.

Smiling with joy, you went to Miles’ sketchbook collection and looked for the one with your name on it. He had a whole book dedicated to you in multiple styles and mediums.

Some were realism while other cartoonish. Sometimes he used nothing but graphite pencils and the white of the page while other times he used markers, colored pencils and pens all in one drawing.

You could get lost in the pages, feel giddy every time you saw a new drawing of you. It made you feel loved.

“Okay, I’m done.” Miles announces and stretches his body causing bones to crack and pop.

“Wow, who knew you were such an old man,” you muttered under your breath, eyes still in the book.

Suddenly you felt a large weight on your back, trapping you in the bed. It could only be one person.

Miles snuggled into the nook of your neck and you hear a muffled no. Then soft snores reach your ear and you let out a sigh as you subsumed to your fate as a human bed.

You light jabbed Miles with your elbow because if he's going to use you like this, the absolute least he could do is help you get your bonnet. This hair wasn't cheap.

“Okay, okay I’m gonna get it,” he said groggily and wiped the sleep from his eyes. He extended his arm and you grabbed it immediately.

“Don’t you dare use your web shooters to get my bonnet,” you warned him. The last time he did that, you literally had to throw the whole bonnet away. It was your favorite too.

He grumbled but got up to get it anyway. He gave you a warm smile before fitting the bonnet around your head gently and kissed you on the cheek.

He laid on his bed with a deep sigh but he looked at you with bedroom eyes, half-lid and a lazy smile. And you just sit there, on the bed admiring him. It was amazing how he could do so little and still look so beautiful.

“You gonna join me down here or…?” He questioned but didn't wait for an answer. He pulled you into his arms and returned his face into the nook of your neck. Eventually, your legs tangled and twisted together into one, and with your combined body heat you quickly went to sleep.

I just saw a tweet that was like "I feel like game of thrones is responsible for these 8 episode seasons ppl weren’t really doing the ten or less format before them. and they were so mainstream they basically influenced all television as we know it."

While Game of Thrones is definitely influential (although a lot of that crashed and burned with its terrible ending) most premium channel series had 10-12 episodes. HBO, Showtime, STARZ, etc all had shorter seasons with longer episodes, bigger budgets, and a lot more freedom with their material. The issue is honestly the death of network television. Network television gave us the 20-25 episode season, whether it's a 21 minute sitcom or a 43 minute drama.

Then came the DVR. Which hurt live viewings. But then they counted the DVR numbers into the ratings, problem solved. But then all these streaming platforms started popping up, and people didn't want to deal with commercials anymore, they didn't want to deal with waiting weekly for the next episode. So, they were just like, "I will wait until the season is added to Netflix, and binge it." But when your live viewings are so low, less and less people will buy ad time for your show. And without money coming in from advertisements, that hurts the shows' budgets and chances of getting renewed. Then you arrive at the debacle of, "It's so hard to get a show to 4 seasons nowadays."

I think the death of network tv, coupled with the success of Stranger Things (even shorter than 10 episodes btw!) is the true culprit. Not only that, but Stranger Things completely normalized the 2-year break between seasons (some have even more than 2 now! 3! 4!). Game of Thrones shortening their final 2 seasons and taking longer breaks could have been influenced by Stranger Things, too. Because before that, each season came out at the same time. They consistently produced a season a year. I know D&D cite other reasons, but I think Stranger Things opened the door to the idea of taking as much time as you need.

So, in conclusion, fuck you, Stranger Things.

A question about the “C/T at a table” pic you posted…

Not sure if you were here back when this happened in real-time, but do you (or anyone else) remember what that lady’s name was that took the pic of C & T at the restaurant table?

I remember she claimed she was a writer/journalist/marketing professional, and soon after the incident started replying to posts from her Tumblr account too (named something related to army wife life, I think). I also remember her son really went overboard rage-responding to IG(?) comments and calling everyone who thought it was a setup a, “crazy c*nt” (or something close to that), lol.

You can see her last name on the computer in the pic, Macnaughton. Was Christine the first name? That whole episode was bonkers (one of many stupid moments in this whole saga).

I want to see if she’s still around and if the NDA has expired yet. :)

And yes, the photo we're discussing can still be found on Instagram. The account belongs to Clare Macnaughton, a writer and blogger who goes by @mrsmacnaughty on the platform.

You’re right – you can see her name written in the bottom left corner of the photo on the computer monitor. I hadn't noticed that before, so thank you for pointing it out.
