Why must touhous suffer

i mean, they don't have suffered that much so far? like the worst thing that happens to most of them is that Reimu comes and beats them up if they pull some bullshit (and that's apparently a free ticket to be invited to parties at the shrine so how bad is it really)

Mokou and Kaguya keep murdering each other apparently but they're immortal so that's just proper enrichment

Reimu herself is poor I guess, but she doesn't have to pay rent and every time you see her in a manga she seems to be doing perfectly fine for the most part

as far as I am aware so far the only f*cked up suffering going on seems to be that the poor bunny girls on the moon are drafted into the military and sent into war, and Reisen feels guilty about leaving her comrades to die (and that damn Yama girl had to pour salt into the wound, telling her she will go to hell for that -_-), but she gets to live happily on earth now and her girlfriends know how to brew immortality elixir, so... not a bad place to be in

Musical Taste:

I feel like Yukari has taken the SilvaGunner technique about as far as it can go without any sort of digital media, and also without dedicating massive amounts of time or a purpose-built shikigami to working out the arrangements of traditional songs in minor keys or having romance songs segue into some Nick Cave nonsense. Which is to say, the poor creature is assumed to have no discernible taste in music by anyone who hasn't figured her out yet.

Sex, Love, Romance, Worrying Girlthing Behavior:

So the Yukari Hellweb I have in my head starts pretty conventionally- you've got Yuyuko and Okina as contemporary partners, you've got Kasen as an ex who's still wrapped around her little finger, you've got Renko in both the distant past and the far future. You've got some unethical thoughts of two different modes towards Aya and Reimu (and Mokou as well for the latter), you've got the whole Ran situation, which is not a sex thing but is definitely Worrying Girlthing Behavior.

I'll maybe got a step further out and suggest Yukari's been intimate with Suika, Yuugi, and the fourth deva of Mt. Ooe, though casually rather than emotionally involving. I also think she's got some perverse controlling behavior going on with the Child of Miare and her relationships that meant that learning about Kosuzu had her dancing a hornpipe. And probably at least a few Hakurei shrine maidens have had some realllll awfulposting happen to them.

General Thoughts:

Poor creature (said without any pity)! I think Yukari as a character is absolutely delightful- fragile in existence but demanding nobody can ever know (except her pink-haired ghost gf and maybe the lifestyle RP hatefucking god gf). Someone who's "in control" because she doesn't try to assert control, the spider at the center of Gensokyo and all that. I have to wonder what she thinks about Hecatia's irregular presence...

Urban Legend in Limbo:

Touhou 14.5: Urban Legend in Limbo (2015) is a major benchmark for the series.

The incident this time is that urban legends have spread throughout Gensokyo! These urban legends have tied themselves to certain people who are characterized similar to them. Apparently the urban legends are not able to materialize independently because nobody in Gensokyo fears them like they do youkai.

The Urban Legends are as follows:

• Reimu Hakurei: the Woman inside the Gap (basically Yukari is her urban legend)

• Marisa Kirisame: the Seven Wonders of the School (pretty much every high school in Japan has its own 7 mysteries)

• Kasen Ibaraki: the Monkey's Paw, (a poor substitute for her missing arm)

• Byakuren Hijiri: Turbo Granny (this gives her a motorcycle and a catsuit but it's really about a grandma running along the highway as fast as a motorcycle)

• Toyosatomimi no Miko: Red Mantle, Blue Mantle (she gives you a choice between a red cape and a blue cape and kills you regardless of your decision)

• Ichirin Kumoi: Hasshaku-sama (a Japanese Creepypasta spread on sites like 2chan about a tall dark-haired woman in a sundress)

• Mononobe no Futo: Okiku (a ghost girl who's the main protagonist of an old novel)

• Nitori Kawashiro: the Loch Ness Monster (she thinks it's just an animatronic she made but it's the real deal)

• Mamizou Futatsuiwa: the Men in Black, (it gives her a nice suit and a device that's not a memory eraser. It's just for show. Her tanuki minions are disguised as aliens.)

• Shinmyoumaru Sukuna: Little Green Men (littler than her? I doubt it!)

• Fujiwara no Mokou: Spontaneous combustion (she doesn't even realize the incident is happening for the longest time since blowing herself up is something she already does. The urban legend is mostly manifested by her fire turning blue and thus hotter.)

• Hata no Kokoro: Kuchisake-onna (Pretty? Not pretty? DIE!)

• Koishi Komeiji: Miss Mary (the CALLS ARE COMING FROM RIGHT BEHIND YOU LOOK OUT SHE HAS A KNIFE)

• Reisen Udongein Inaba: Kune-kune (another Creepypasta posted on 2chan in 2001, weird white red-eyed worm creatures that wiggle around upright seen off in the distance that make you go insane if you look at them too long)

Yes, Kasen's urban legend is not so much one as it is a well-known story that nobody thought was real. Same with Futo's.

There are also rumors spreading about seven Occult Balls, that when brought together, can grant any one wish (hey, that sounds familiar...)

The Occult Balls are tied to seven Mystery Spots:

• The Pyramids of Giza

• Stonehenge

• The Tower of Babel

• The Nazca Lines

• Yomotsu Hirasaka

• Hell Valley

• The Lunar Capital

The story itself mostly involves all these girls having whacky role playing fun with their urban legends and discovering the true nature of the Occult Balls. Right up until they go too far and almost cause the destruction of all of Gensokyo.

Strangely enough, despite the severity of this incident, Yukari Yakumo is nowhere to be seen. Instead, Kasen and Mamizou team up to fill her general role. Perhaps Yukari thought one Sage getting involved was enough, or perhaps she's just lazy.

In a rarity for the series, the status quo of Gensokyo is broken in two ways:

A human teenage girl from the outside world makes her way into Gensokyo; and leaves! She becomes a recurring visitor of Gensokyo from heron out, but never fully moves in. This provides the people of Gensokyo a way to hear more about the outside world, mostly in a negative, pessimistic light.

Second, Gensokyo as a whole is poisoned down to the roots: an incident has happened that Reimu could not resolve. Gensokyo has now become a true land of fantasy: if enough people believe something is true, it will be true. The repercussions of this are explored in both mangas running at the time: Wild and Horned Hermit and Forbidden Scrollery, and would continue to be a major element of the series until around 2018, at which point it's kinda forgotten about.

Thus begins a sort of trilogy that follows with Touhou 15: Legacy of Lunatic Kingdom, and Touhou 15.5: Antinomy of Common Flowers.

Oh, and this game got a Playstation 4 release, making it the first official Touhou game to be released for consoles.

Hi so I made this account to respond to Krilldyn from like a month's back

I cut Imperfect Metamorhphosis into a bunch of volumes and wrote a pretty rough summary of what happens in each of them.

VOLUME 1 (chapters from 1 to 9 )

The entire volume takes place during the first day of spring.

Team Nineball steal box from Marisa, they open it and Blob eats Rumia.

Team Nineball look for help ; Yukari is worried about the thing she sealed 60 years ago

Rumia meets Rin Satsuki in the deep within zone. they're going to Eientei

Heroines are beaten up by Rin and her new evil voice friend

Eientei is destroyed

Mokou and Kaguya are absorbed

Rin's past and the experiment is explained, Flandre defeated Rin during her first rampage and then she was sealed for 9 years in the box

Yukari starts beef with Cirno, Marisa etc...

Cirno is determined to get Rumia back

VOLUME 2 (Chapters from 10 to 15 )

Big strategy meeting with many people in order to deal with the Satsuki incident.

Not only do the students still need me, Shironeko-sensei will never let me hear the end of it if she finds out I managed to get hurt," Kakeru then stresses.

    Of course, knowing Neiko, she would doubtlessly take care of him, but regardless, the last person he would consistently want at his bedside was her, so should it mean his kneecaps would be left intact, he was more than willing to make peace with Mokou.

7:20 A.M. The Lunar City

Within the city of the moon rabbits where billions continue rebuilding their entire city from the horror invasion that have passed but unknown to them, a greater threat will emerge sooner than they realized and when they emerged fron their very nightmares it is the day the lunarians will receive a very grim reminder, the reminder of their dark pasts where blood is in their hands for the great sacrifice of gensokyo. Earthquakes began to rumble causing the ground to break beneath their feet while the earth shook.

' K K K K R R A A A C K K ! '

Emerged from the ground the gigantic pillar appeared into the city revealing to be the kaiju Utsuho Reiuji with vengeance upon her mind emitting a powerful EMP that crushes their entire defenses temporarily and gave the signal for the rest of her allies to come in and wreak havoc. Many moon rabbits run for their very lives panicking and screaming in terror as the very thing they have made are here to punish them.

Defenses crumbling down, people running and screaming for their very lives the rest of the kaiju came swarming in with death and pestilence inflicting upon them starting with the golde spider, using her ability to spread every horrific disease known to man, ebola, anthrax, the bubonic plague, and so much more killing them by the billions while she climb onto a large building that is the large building of New Moon Corp as she jabbed her appendages through the building and tear it down.

New Moon Military forces arrived into the scene to combat the kaiju but right behind them is the misfortune type kaiju Hina who appeared out of the blood feasting upon the misfortune while spreading that misfortune upon the enemy causing them all to falter, suffering technical difficulties causing more casaulties in the line of the fight. The kaiju blasted the lunarian military to shreds with her misfortune beam from her long arms.

Fire and destruction begun to rain from the sky for the immortal phoenix type kaiju the broken one, Mokou Fujiwara entered into the scene flying through the sky at such tremendous speed, shattering the buildings to pieces and causing fiery storms to appear due to the speed and ability to create and unleashed power flames and deadly heat waves from her powerful wings. Mokou wants the moon rabbits to know how it feel to suffer, as she suffer from the hands of the lunarians.

Brutal, destructive yet cunning the oni type kaiju Suika Ibuiki appeared stomping and smashing everything in her path from the buildings, military forces and even their powerful defenses that are design to knock back against the giant monsters of the land but with their defenses shut down by Okuu and her EMP blast shutting off all techn in a limited amount of time Suika slammed her fists into the anti-Kaiju defenses crushing them apart.

Queen of all insect kind, the spreader of the plague of locusts Wriggle Night bug stands there on top of one of the buildings as she watched her allies inflicting their suffering upon the moon rabbits the kaijufied night bug unleashed a swarm of japanese hornets right in her command, swarming the poor moon rabbits without hesitation attacking and stinging them all over their face with extreme prejudice.

Lastly the one in charge of the madness the exterminator Type Reimu Hakurei and her companion Marisa Kirisame watched the chaos unfold while making sure that all of them suffer greatly. She watched the men, the women and the children die in this very nightmarish scenario. It's proof that they are here now before they could do anything to save gensokyo, they're here to settle scores with their great enemy. The moon rabbits and oh they haven't forgive them, not at all in fact.

Why they're here and not at war against the makai beasts is because with the previous failure with Oborojime going rogue Belial had no option but send the kaiju back to bring things back to balance by themselves going against the ancients. But not before the kaiju cause one of the worst war crimes in gensokyo history. By turning the lunarian city into a pile of rubble for today is the day of the monsters. Where Giant monsters all out attack.

Tsukasa/Okina justification: funny. would end so so so badly. for tsukasa. one of the more awful in an enticing way potential ships in the setting, that I can think of off the top of my head at least. tsukasa tries to worm her way into favor. only serves to catch herself in a spider's web. poor fox left konfounded and dancing on a string like a little marionette. in over her head. can't get out. trapped by nothing but herself. does she want to get out? the beautiful, handsome, oh-so enticing goddess. the one that that holds her leash. doesn't think so. and that's what matters, isn't it? little tube-fox, held by a string.

Releases a mouse into the household

“... Ew! How did that get in ‘ere?” Of course, despite feeling grossed out... she feels an unsuppressible need to hunt it down. Once again, she gets into position to pounce as her feline instincts override her, and she lunges at the mouse, capturing it perfectly in her teeth.

Upon coming back to her senses, Mokou shakes her head. What was she just doing? There was a mouse that was in her house, and then she felt like she blacked out for a moment. Now there’s a strange taste in her mouth. Mokou looks down and freezes. The mouse... was in her mouth! She lets out a shrill scream, dropping the rodent to the ground.

Mystia and Kaguya are perfect! I am so happy with Kaguya

Keine and Reisen are definetely the right size now, though I should have redone the colours a little bit cause their clothes are a little too dark, but that would only really bother me if I am to sell them.

Eirin and Mokou have some obvious misprints, either lines are off or bits are cut off. But for Eirin the colour changes I did made it so much better.

Also I made a washi tape. Super happy with it.
