my biggest beef with the otherwise delightful mario movie was the fact that mario and luigi were absolutely robbed of their cake. they had no ass. especially mario; he was thicc before illuminations got its hands on him lmao

Hyper specific theory aside, I do have to say I don't think Sofia is gonna spare Francis. Like I've seen people talk like Sofia's gonna feel bad, she's gonna think about her own mom—

I really don't think so.

Sofia has been very consistent about who she spares. Gia, Sal, and Eve all remind her of her own trauma in some way, with Gia being almost a younger Sofia, and Sal and Eve being examples of what she wishes her own authority figures had been like.

Mama Cobb... I can't see her being anything but horrendously abrasive with Sofia, and if she sees how Francis browbeats Oz... I don't see Sofia dredging up much empathy for her.
