summary: you and luffy are married couples with three kids. What will happen when garp comes to visit to see luffy only to hear he is married and have three kids and luffy giving cobby and helmeppo his twin sons to hold them all while all of the marines with cobby and helmeppo being shocked and surprised by hearing luffy is a husband with three kids and a beautiful wife along with the marines wants to kill your kids and the reader because of the the danger if luffy bloodline continues to live on. Oh and garp is totally pissed luffy didn't invite him to the wedding he is even more pissed when luffy said ace and the white beared pirates were there too but sadly shanks couldn't make it to the wedding. This is my first story so please be kind and both luffy and the reader are teenagers in this one luffy is 17 and you the reader is 16.

After rescuing robin from being executed you and he crew relax after eating breakfast that sanji made.

"Man, i swear that idiot, look at him", nami was annoyed at luffy's snoring since he snored so very loudly. "Someone needs to tell him not to be carefree and sleep just anywhere", chopper chip into the conversation. "More importantly our poor yume swan has to listen to this idiot snoring every day", sanji had hearts in his eyes as he looked at you, he knew you were taken already and married luffy, but still that doesn't mean the man doesn't find you attractive in his eyes. 'Tck' "will you quit flirting with yume you curly eyed brow pervert go to another room", zoro hated the cooks perverted ways with woman.

"WILL YOU SHUT UP MOSS HEAD!!!!!!! Nobody asked you!!!!!", sanji and zoro now started to bicker on and on and spilling insults after insults at each other.

You, nami and robin laughed at them both since both you and your crew mates were used to there rivaled antics by now. You kissed your son kai on the cheek and forehead wanting your little bundle of joy to giggle at your antics.

"Ga!!" Your son kai was happy his mother was paying attention to him. "Aww, so cute", nami smiled holding kuro in her arms playing with kuro's toy with him.

Robin loved lily's eyes since they are both colours of luffy and your eye colours. You are very close to everyone on the ship since they all joined one by one. But you and the girls treat each other more like sisters all three of you would tell your horrible past and always go shopping together no matter what people would see you guys talking and laughing while just enjoying spending time with each other like a family.

"I wonder if ussop is okay you know since....." You trailed off. Even tho the others could already know what you mean without you saying it to them.

"I'm sure he is", robin said.

While in the city of water seven garp looked for luffy so he could talk to his stupid of a grand son.

"Any luck finding luffy?" Garp asked.

"No i haven't sir were still searching for him and his crew", the marine with blue hair answered him.

"People keep saying he already left while others said he never left the island or the straw hats never came back to the island" the purple hair marine guy said.

"Hahahahaha!!!!! I knew that brat would earn the trust from the people here hahahaha!!!!!!" Garp laughed.

One of the marine soldier talked to a noble lady who said she have heard of the straw hats were abouts.

"Do you really know where they are?" The marine soldier was desperate to find the straw hats. "Yes, i think they are all staying at the house around that corner the one to the left from here just take two or three turns and you should be able to find a huge house with a black gate in front of it" she was very hesitant to tell the marine man where they were, since the straw hats became there hero of water seven, but since she was worried about getting arrested or letting her family reputation go down she gave up and told him where there staying.

"Thank you so much, i really appreciate it" he bowed in respect to the noble lady. "No problem" she smile elegantly to him. After that he ran off to tell garp were luffy and the straw hats are staying at.

In the city garp waited for one of his men to find information on luffy and his crew. Soon the marine soldier from earlier came running to them to relay the message. " sir, good news!!!!" He was breathing hard and heavy, he stopped right in front of his leader.

"What? What is it? Did you get any information on luffy or his crew?" Garp was curious as to what made the purple haired marine soldier was so excited for. "Yes sir, i asked around and was told that straw hat luffy and his crew were staying in a big house far off the city over the left right there, all we need to do is take two lefts or three then we'll find a huge house with a black gate in front of it" he finished relying the news. "Good work, now let's men you lead the way since you got the massage" garp turn around and walked off with a pink and blond haired young marine soldiers. "Yes sir, come on follow me" they all went to follow his lead to luffy.

Back at the house were luffy was still sleeping and snoring loudly. We each had the babies in our hands playing with them, sanji and zoro stopped there quarrels among one another. "Kuro my little niece he is just the cutest, now listen i know your baby and don't understand what i'm saying but.....please don't grow up to be just like luffy!!!!! I beg you be like me or auntie robin okay? Luffy is an idiot i don't want his stupidity inherited in the bloodline" nami hold kuro with care playing with him. "Hahaha nami i don't think you should tell kuro that his father is an idiot" nami looked at robin. "Well i'm not wrong am i?" Name asked like it was an obvious answer to the question.

"Nami come on, i honestly would love if both kuro and kai had luffy's personality while lilly inherits my personality" you smiled still watching kai happily play with his toy car that he loves very much.

Nami was shocked you said that it was common for anyone to want there kid to have luffy's stupid personality. since halve the time his stupid ways always ends up with the crew getting into trouble.

"Yume are you serious?!!!!! You're kidding right? Think about if we had another luffy on the crew do you know how exhausted that would be?!!!!!!! I'm not gonna be the one to have to run around knocking three idiots to stop letting there adventure put us into trouble!!!!" Nami protest to you.

"Yeah i have notice how very different he is compared to luffy, lily and kai" sanji came up close to you and kai to watch him play with his toy car. "Who cares maybe this is a sign that says we won't have another luffy on the crew" zoro chip into the conversation us girls were having. "WHAT THE-!!!!!" Sanji was shocked to find all the marines surrounded around the house. " how did they even know we were here?!" Nami was scared and was hold kuro protectively like a mother would do. "No these guys again" zoro held the head of his swords ready to slash at the enemy.

Garp fund luffy and quickly run to luffy. Sanji and Zoro was running after him to stop him from touching there captain. But garp was faster then they were at running. He sacked luffy on the head saying "wake up and stop sleeping!!!!!!" Luffy finally woke up and felt pain on his head that now has a bump on his head while falling off the ground.

He held his head that has a nasty bump on top. "ow!!! That hurts!!!!! Why the heck did you do that for?!!!!!" He lifted his head thinking it was you or nami but instead he found his grand father. "Huh? Wait........Grandpa? What are you doing here?!!!" He asked shocked to see him, Garp was pissed off again. "You little brat!!! That's no way to greet your grand father who came to see you" garp whacked him again. "Ow!!! I'm sorry!! Jeez.....just stop that!!!" Everyone's mouth was open and frozen in shocked to hear luffy and garp are related. "LUFFY HAS A MARINE FOR A GRANDPA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" The whole crew eyes came out of eye their socket.

Luffy could sense that sanji and zoro were about to attack his grandfather so decided to stop them before it's too late.

"Zoro, sanji everyone whatever you do don't attack him!!!!" Luffy looked at his crew with pleading eyes.

"What!!!!!! But......why?" Nami asked.

"Just don't attack him he's way too powerful for you guys to try and fight him stay where you are I'll handle this myself" luffy knew his grandfather very well so he would know not to let the crew fight him.

"You little brat!!!!! i leave you with ace and turn my back to go be a marine officer to find you making trouble with the marines again!!!!!" He really was ready to hit luffy any chance he got.

Luffy got punched straight outside were two marines who know him were waiting for the orders from garp. "Hah alright boys go get him" garp told the two marine soldiers to attack luffy, which they did just that. As luffy fought them both he noticed how fast each of them where, he couldn't even tell when they would attack next, but that didn't mean he was gonna let them best him.

You watch all the chaos not worried or surprise by all this happening right now. "Yume your taking this well, how are you not shocked at all that luffy has marine grandfather?" Nami was curious about you being calm. "Because he told me about his grandfather and ace too so I'm not new to hearing this compared to all of you" you replied casual just shrugging it off. "Oh that makes sense" chopper now understood why you weren't shocked as much as they were.

While luffy got to hit the blond hair guy, it didn't knock him out but only made him fall to the ground. "Your even stronger than last time i saw you luffy" the pink hair boy smiled at luffy, even luffy looked confused as to how or why did this marine know his name or better yet why was he smiling so friendly and warm with him? It's not like he had seen him before did he? Wait? I don't remember seeing him anywhere from his recent adventures have i? Hmm.....weird i feel like maybe i do know him but.....It's impossible to know him since i don't know him all. "Ah, how do you know me? Do i know you or something?" Luffy asked curious to know the answer to the question. "Haha you'll know soon enough" he attacked again

but luffy was quick with his counterattack at the pink haired boy, soon luffy push him down on the ground ready to punch him. "Stop, i give up you win" the boy put his hand in surrender to show he gave up, luffy stopped himself and got up off of him and help him up. "Hahaha!!!!!! Looks like you boys aren't close enough to beating him hahaha" garp was laughing amused by his grand son's strength.

"So, who are you?", Luffy asked. "You don't remember? Look at me closely" he waited for luffy to figure it out. "Nope nothing sorry i don't know you" luffy sure felt like he did though. "It's me, you know cobby, i was a slave on a pirate ship" as he said that luffy was shocked "what!!!!!!!!! You mean........little cobby as in wimpy cobby?!!!!!" Luffy was not convinced at all. "Yup that's me, been while since we haven't seen each other huh?" He smiled again. "Been a while? More like It's been way too long since we haven't seen each other" luffy was glad to see cobby.

"And you remember me too right?" The blond asked next. "Huh?" Luffy was confused. "Just look at me i'm sure you'll remember me too" he was anxious waiting for him recognize him. "I have no clue who are not even a single thing comes to mind" luffy bluntly spoke up. "What!!!! Come It's me, you know helmeppo i was the who tied roronoa zoro i tricked him and took his sword but you came and freed him" zoro remembered it now so did luffy but they were unamused by him.

"Oooooooooooh, it's you", luffy and zoro gave him a bored expression.

"Seriously!!!!! Not even a little happy to see me? Cobby this is why i hate those two" helmeppo hung his head low, while coby felt sorry for him.

"Don't worry helmeppo i'm sure they were just joking around don't take it to heart forget they did that just know", coby tried to lighten up the mood.

"Anyway, I'm glad to see you again cobby, i see you've gotten stronger more bold and more confident your more surtain of yourself, i'm happy your working hard on achieving your dreams cobby hope you keep it up and don't give up", luffy smiled warmly at him.

cobby was shocked to hear him say that, since he is now supposed to be his enemy because of him being a marine soldier with helmeppo now. But it was luffy he wouldn't change or let anything get in the way of people he called his friends.

Cobby opened up his mouth to reply with "thanks luffy, I'm happy your living your dream and working hard to achieve of being the next king of the pirates and finding the one piece I'll be routing for you through out your adventures", cobby said.

"Oh and i'm happy to see you too zoro hope your taking good care of yourself and luffy", cobby turned to zoro next.

"Hm, yeah it's good to see you too coby, i see your not a cry baby as you were used to being", zoro smiled friendly to cobby.

"No kidding!!!! This cobby is different form the little coby that were both used to, ahahahaha", luffy laughed out loud.

Cobby laughed a long with luffy, he doesn't know but luffy had this feeling like his aura gave off someone of more than a friend figure but more of like a Father figure even though luffy was still goofy and was still the same....he still felt a little different maybe it was because of seeing each other for so long made it feel like he was giving off a father figure role or was it because of the fact that he was tired from all the fighting he did during the rescue mission to save robin one of his crew mate or the sun was just getting to him making things look like there a little different. But luffy was definitely acting more careful when he was attacking cobby and helmeppo it's like luffy doesn't want to hurt us for some reason......he fought us like we we're his kids hitting us but not hard enough to knock us out and get injured. Whatever it is...cobby was sure to know soon enough on luffy being even softer than usual, he wondered if luffy thought of him like a little brother or wondered if he thought of him really and truly as his friend though he's a marine soldier now.

"Luffy......my i still..........do you............are we still friends even though I'm a marine soldier?", cobby was hesitant to asked luffy.

Luffy knew what cobby meant without him explaining it deeply enough for him to understand since he knows that him being a marine and luffy as a pirate captain would result in them as enemies, but luffy didn't care rather cobby was one or not.

"Hm, of course!!! We are still friends no matter what", luffy told cobby honestly.

He was surprised that luffy truly value him as his friend. They both smiled enjoying there little reunion.

"Hey zoro are you sure it's okay to stay here and watch from a far instead of greeting luffy? I mean you knew him too right? Why not just go talk to him and greet him?" Nami asked zoro who was smiling at the reunion with cobby.

"Yeah, it's fine, i mean luffy was the one who saved cobby and knew him more than me so it's better luffy alone talks to him", zoro answered nami's question.

"I see.....", nami looked at how her captain and cobby looked happy to see each other.

Garp yearned and then finally spoke up next.

"hey, all you clean this messed and fix the door", he pointed to the broken door and the cracked walls from earlier that he kicked to find luffy.

"Huh?, your the one who did this yourself you do it, if we are doing it you have to help us get it fixed up", the marines scolded garp.

"What?, fine fair enough, come on lets go then lets get it started", garp turn to the walls and door ready to help fix the incident he caused.

All the marines helped garp and luffy came back inside the house to his grand father.

Kai wanted his father to hold him.

"Dada!!" Kai giggled reaching out his little tiny hands to make luffy lift him up. Everyone turned their attention to you holding a baby in your hands they noticed how similar kai looks like luffy but shrug it off thinking that it was not your child or luffy's either, so they were gonna be shocked when luffy takes kai from you.

Luffy face finally lights up to see you and his son, he immediately ran over to you and kai. "Who's baby is that?" A marine wondered. "Maybe for one of the crew or there babysitting him" another said. " but there are three of them" they noticed lily and kuro next.

"Haha, seems someone wanted daddy's attention" luffy took kai in his arms smiling brightly at his son.

All the marines were shocked and frozen garp stopped hammering the nail on the door and felt like to faint at any minute.

"Huh? Daddy?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!", they look like there was no air going in there lungs.

"What did you just say?", garp asked in shocked.

"Oh yeah i hadn't told you have i? well...anyway this is Kai my son he's the oldest and the first born", luffy hold kai carefully and gave kai his toy car to play with it.

They nodded even though there reluctant to give them the kids since there marines. As soon as nami and robin went closer to cobby and helmeppo they gave them the baby's in there hands while they were still in shock and don't know what to do to hold a baby properly.

"Hey guys relax try to hold like i'm holding kai make sure your fully relaxed or you'll get kuro and lily to cry again", luffy instructed them showing to hold them and be careful not to hold them too tight.

"You see? Now there comfortable in your arms now hahaha aren't they just little and tiny?", luffy held one kai's hand up in the air.

"Yeah", they both agreed.

"What's there names Luffy?", cobby asked.

"The girl your holding is lily and that's kuro, we named him that because he loves to hang on to sanji's black suit so we thought to called him kuro which means black and lily she just reminds us of a white lily flowers so that's why we named her lily", luffy explained the names they gave the kids.

"Wow nice i love it, but what about Kai?", cobby asked.

"Hmm.....i just like name kai for some reason i think this name will mean something deeper than it is already supposed to mean, we just have to wait for the future to see what happens", luffy tickled kai making him giggle.

"I see......", cobby turn to look at lily.

You stayed next to luffy and kai. "And i can't wait for what the future holds for them when they grow up", you rested your head on luffy's shoulder.

"Yeah, me too", both of you kissed each other on the lips and then played with kai.

Cobby played with lily and helmeppo played with kuro both enjoying the kids and talking with luffy.

"So luffy how did you and your wife get to be together?", cobby asked.

"It's a long story but yume and i always loved each other ever since the day i asked her to join my crew, i felt so flustered everytime we talked and i didn't know i was in love with from the start, nami and robin told me i'm love with her and i just had to tell her how felt about her", luffy smiled.

"Ah, i see, congratulations luffy on becoming a father and a husband", cobby said.

"Yeah congratulations", helmeppo said soon after cobby. "Thanks guys, i wish i could have invited you guys to the wedding but this cake and champagne should be good enough as a gift", luffy showed them his gift.

"Wow, luffy you didn't have to, i mean.......we understand couldn't make it to the wedding so you don't need to give us this", both of the nervous.

"It's no big deal, plus yume was the one who packed the gift for both of you", luffy said.

"Take it, i never got to know you both and i thought it would be best to give you this", you smiled.

"Thank you", they both bowed.

"No need to act weird around me, i'm your friend now too", you told them.

"Okay, thank you yume", they felt comfortable around you.

"Well, i'm gonna go cook dinner sanji", you got up ready to leave. "you boys have a lot to catch up on, luf I'll tell you when dinner is ready okay?", you kissed your husband and leave.

"Okay, bye yume-chan see you later cook as much meat!!!!!!!", luffy had stars in his eyes.

"Sure", yume finally had to the kitchen.

The whole day went one with luffy, cobby and helmeppo talking and catching. Dinner was ready and everyone joined to eat dinner, a banquet to celebrate the reunion the garp helmeppo and cobby. It was fun we all had drinks and catching up on everyone adventures they all went on. Soon the marines, garp, cobby and helmeppo had to leave so they bid farewells and leave. Even the crew went to sleep leaving you and luffy to get the babies to sleep.

"Okay there all as sleep now", you walked in the bedroom you and luffy shared in.

"That's, man it was good to see cobby again", luffy smiled.

You laid down next to luffy on the bed.

"Yeah i can see that", you cuddled next him.

"You know, i really love you yume, i don't think anyone would make me happy as much as you do", luffy wrapped his arms and legs on top of yours.

"And i love too luffy, your my home my happy place without you i would be sad alone and i would be happy at all, but i am with you i just hope we can grow old to see our kids turn adults", you admitted.

"We will, i promise I'll protect you and the kids no matter what", luffy was determined to keep his promise.

"I know you will, i love luffy", you said.

"I love you too my sunshine", luffy replied.

Both of you enjoyed each other's company falling asleep in sweet peace.

Ok so this is a shitty fanfic for experiment dragon (and keep in mind garp sengoku and tsuru are like young adults in this like 19 or 20s ) ok so garp , sengoku, tsuru and a couple of other marines were sent to explore a building that belonged to a pirate but was abandoned so the group walks into the building it looks empty and it’s very eerie it looks like a hospital kinda which was very strange why would some pirate need a place like this the group walked on there was bloody bandages syringes etc on the floor the group tried to no step on anything they split so it would be easier to finish scouting the place out cause it seemed completely empty then they we a quite sound of metal hitting the floor it was very light and quick sengoku heard it and turn to walk towards were the noise came from tsuru and garp questioned but followed the noise was slightly louder the closer they got to a door it was a a dusty white door with a rusty door knob they trio stared at the door unsure what to do for all they knew it could have just been something falling but they had to do their job so with shaking hands they opened the door they were shocked to see a kid it was a little boy no more than 7 or 8 years old but it was hard to tell cause he was so skinny he had a raggedy old shirt on with ripped pants he had too long messy matted hair but he had the features of a dragon he had horns a tail and slitted dark green eyes he growled at them which made them take a step back tho he growled he never got closer tsuru said almost breathlessly “he’s just a little boy” sengoku looked at him with sad eyes “poor kid” they wondered why he didn’t attack then they saw the chains they were chain on his arms and one his legs and some kind of collar on his neck this filled them with more rage sengoku turned to garp “ go see if we have any snacks or a blanket for the kid” garp ran back to the ship to go get the snacks and blanket while tsuru and sengoku tried to figure out how to unlock the kid chains sengoku eyes went to tsurus hair pin he asked for it she gave it to him he slowly walked towards the kid who backs away to the wall sengoku bend down and the kid kept growling when sengoku reached to unlocking cj the chain the kid braced himself as if sengoku would hurt him then there was a click sengoku unlocked the chains on his legs the kids eye slightly widen and his head turns like a confused puppy then he unlock the chains on his wrists then his neck sengoku looked at the kid he say the red line that the chains had made of the kids skin and he could see the start of bruises and scars under the kid shirt tarp came back with the snacks and the blanket but before anyone could say anything the kid passed out tsuru quickly caught him before he hit the ground “ he must of passed out for exhaustion” she said garp wraps the blanket around the kid to the best of his abilities and picks him up tsuru goes to tell the other to go back to the ship the other marines wonder what the bundle that garp carried on ship was sengoku makes a called to marineford about the kid on the ships den den mushi when he finishes he hear munching behind him turns to see garp eating the snack that was supposed to be for the kid who was dead asleep in garps arms snuggle in the blanket “garp you stupid bitch”

The way I didn't even think about the hunger games 🤦‍♀️. My goodness, what a comparison though! Where Katniss' was more a controlled flame, Buggy literally went to set her on fire 💀💀💀.

I am sorry for the tears! They needed to have a bit of a rapport together, Zoro and his governess, to support each other. Zoro was there for her in the start of their adventure, it was only fitting for her to be supportive of his.

The way that "The Sands of Time" is writing itself at this point. I'm just there with a glass of wine and watching it happen. Poor Crocodile. Will he need someone to tame his unruly princess, or will the governess aid her in taming him 😏.

I hate that for some reason its always her even in punk hazard where kidnapping frank made total sense they had to put her into his body first... I’m thinking abt that stupid sabo and garp thing you reblogged like: what if that was actually how sabo got roped back into his old life.

It starts out as a half baked con sabo came up with bcos he was .5 seconds by being bodied by garp and he’s good but not THAT good. The con WORKS bcos it’s TRUE and sabo has no clue. Garp though, garp suddenly realizes this can be everything he ever wanted cuz as much as ace has his own drive sure, he got 100% more spiteful after sabo died and when they were kids sabo was the plan guy which made garp convinced he was the ‘leader”. So garps mind goes like this -half amnesiac grandchild wants to become a marine - ace followed this kid around like a ducking and doesn’t know he’s alive - show ace sabo and have him convince ace to at least become a warlord - use ace and sabo to try and bribe luffy next after this totally works.

So poor sabo who was a single grab away from the highest clearance marine docs he’s ever seen gets grabbed and hauled across the grandline to find ace. It’s a comedy of failing upwards buggy style for sabo who is scrambling to try and keep control of the situation only to fail due to force of gramps and later ace. Sabo wanted to be extracted from this mess a month ago too but dragon is so confident his dad won’t actually hurt sabo and is so pleased with the info they’re getting he’s leaving sabo on Read.

Dragon gets to be a little shit of a D sometimes too ok!

This is probably a stupid question but here it goes. How long do you think Ace was in Impel Down for? I've read some people say a few months, others a week. From what I can tell he's still injured from his fight with Blackbeard so it probably wasn't very long. Has it ever been stated?

I'd wager at least a month, judging by everything that takes place between Water 7 and when Luffy finally finds out at Amazon Lily, maybe less because of however long it'd taken the Bkackbeards to sail to Impel Down in the first place. He'd been down there long enough to have a Warlord protest for him, have two people (Hancock and Garp) visit him, but not long enough for him to die just based on his injuries - i mean did you SEE that poor kid?? He left blood on the WALL when they took him out of his cell!!

Tl;dr I'd say at least a month. Poor bby 😭

Basically a review of OP episode 503 ig

Currently rewatching post-war arc (in the dub so I don't have any screenshots for u guys sry) and theres a few things id like to point out.

During a conversation Dadan once had with Garp, they were talking about Roger. Garp said that even if they were facing powerful enemies, he would never run away because he wouldnt dare leaving his comrads behind; it wasnt an option for him. Obviously we see this in Ace. But ALSO, isnt this what he did with Katakuri? It was a little different cuz of the setting mostly, but he separated himself from his crew to fight off katakuri, and lied to them about being okay so they didn't worry (he was already getting his ass kicked by then, so he just made that stupid smile and told them not to worry (or smth like that, I can remember the exact line) (that smile was so gross and fake cuz he fucking sucks at lying). Also he said roger destroyed a buncha soldiers cuz they mouthed off his men. That's what Ace tried to do but instead he died. :(

"The pain he went through just made him hold on tighter to the ones he loved" -Garp, about Roger. "Despite his flaws and his bad reputation, his crew still trusted him completely." -also Garp, about Roger. These both sound a lot like Luffy AND Ace.

When Dogra got home and told everyone about Sabo's ship being shit down and him dying (which we all know didnt happen, thank fuck), (by the way the absolutely lost looks on Ace's and Luffy's faces with the sudden silence hurt like a bitch), Luffy started crying and said "WE SHOULDNT'A LET HIM GO, IT'S ALL OUR FAULT". Which fucking says something about him (thinking of episodes 913-915 when he goes fucking berserk, but before that he learns that Kaido probably killed Tama and he says "I should've escorted them..!" (*ugly cries*)). Ace also reacted pretty similarly-- "Sabo...why didn't we go back into town and bring him back here?! We're so stupid!" And he gets mad and asks where he could find the bastard that killed him (obviously not getting a good answer since it was a fucking celestial dragon ugh). That is what Luffy does, in present time. He results to anger first, not sadness. Not sure when he learned to do that but I'm 99 percent sure it was from Ace. Also the blaming himself thing? High chance thats ALSO from Ace. Who else would teach him that self hating behaviour?!

Dadan pins Ace down to stop him from going after the Celestial Dragon to calm him down, telling him he cant do anything, he's not big or strong enough to do anything and he'll be killed as soon as he tries anything, especially since it was the whole country -the whole WORLD- that killed Sabo. He can't do anything. And then they tied him to a tree outside to let him cool off. Oh yeah then he also told luffy to stop crying like a little girl or else he'll- (and he didn't finish the sentence). ...Ok maybe thats why luffy started being more angry than sad.

This is where things get a little more :( . Ace reads the letter Sabo sent them before he died. As he reads, he walks to the end of the forest, to a cliff overlooking the ocean. And starts fucking bawling (btw the voice actor who had Ace's childhood part did not do a very good job, no where near as in character and real as Coleen Clickenberg did with all of Luffy's crying scenes. She was spot on.) ...do you see where im going with that? He isolated himself before letting himself feel sad. It was all rage and then calm beforehand. Y-you see where im going with that. Dont make me say it.

"How's Luffy doing, is he any better?" "Well...he hasnt been eating much, but he still eats twice as much as we do". Oh look, That's what happened after Ace died too. There's a behavioral pattern that hasnt gone away. Not sure why it wouldve tho.

Luffy is mopeing, lying on the ground in a similar setting ace was at when he cried. Hes thinking about some of the things Sabo said, like how theyre gonna sail the seas together, and he clenches his hands into tight, shaking fists. After Ace shows up and hits him, and talking abt some other stuff I don't feel like relaying, Luffy tightens his grip on the straw hat and tells ace, whimpering, he wants to get stronger (and stronger, and stronger, and stronger and stronger and....) And he wants to be the strongest in the world. "And then, I'll protect everyone. I won't lose anyone I care about". He gets stronger mainly to protect the people he loves. And then he asks ace to promise he won't die. To which he hits Luffy again and tells him he should be more worried about himself dying first. And then the famous line that hurts like a bitch- "I'm NEVER going to DIE!" And then this hopeful music comes on (fucking damnit funimation, u gotta do this? Really??) Also he says he wont die as long as he has a wussy little brother to protect. ...FUCK. Ok, the fist clenching is a thing he does all the fucking time, usually when he gets mad. This was different because he wasnt mad, he was sad. He clenched his fist because thinking about it hurt. Which, huh, sounds a lot like his whole episode after waking up from his 2 week coma on the polar tang. To try and stop the mental pain of those horrendous memories, he resulted to physically pain. He hurt himself. So, He clenches his fists in times like these to fight off the mental pain and the urge to cause himself physical pain. Guys, our boy is bad at emotions, help him. ....ok this paragraph is longer than I anticipated so ill dumb down the rest of it ig. Next part, him asking ace to promise he wont die. The music, the body language, the over change in mood- this comforts him. He stopped hiding his face and silently sobbing after ace said this. OH YEAH! didn't he tell jinbe not to die when they parted ways in Totto Land? And then, hes missing still in Wano and we see Luffy is worried....but convinced Jinbe will show up. Again, this comforts him. Hes nervous cuz someone KOFF KOFF ACE broke that promise once. But jinbe is his crew mate so he trusts him, thank god.

"-But whoever did it, they must be opposed to freedom." The whole freedom thing? That runs through Luffy's blood and spirit.His brothers fought for it, his dad is the man who strives to give everyone freedom basically, and Luffy himself has seen enough of the OPPOSITE of freedom to be so, so much more than just against it. Hence why he of course was so eager to free the slaves in Sabaody, the kids in punk hazard, the toys in dressrosa, the country of Wano from Kaido's tyrany. The apple doesnt fall far from the tree huh.

I dont think Luffy would remember his promise with Shanks if it werent for his brothers putting feul to his dream. It was a stupid bet at first; he just wanted to beat Shanks, right then. But after meeting Sabo and Ace, he found the opposite of freedom and human rights. And then he wanted, REALLY wanted, to become the free-est man in the world; the pirate king.

Last one i promise ok? This one is less connected to whats going on in the episode at this point, but something I noticed (its so obvious everyone has seen this ok) was when luffy cries, his posture is always open. He doesn't curl in on himself like many people would do (I know I would, lol). He doesnt hug himself, protect himself. He's just, opened up to whoever is watching, literally. This has a little more to do with something I haven't talked about much in this post yet; his self-destruction issues. I said he tried to hurt himself when he felt mental pain, which is definitely similar. But he cries and doesnt try to protect or comfort himself, like he doesn't have that programmed into his mind. Reminder that he only wants to live because of his dream, and if he doesnt have his dream, he wants to die. (Whoa.). Ok, so no self preservation mechanism at all rlly. Hes basically ride or die. So, when things hurt so much that he cries, he has no hope left. He just kinda...dies inside. So this was mildly different after sabo died. Yes we saw him just standing there, sobbing. But the next day he's still crying, and instead he's laying on the ground. I saw that and the voice in the back of my head told me he wanted to be a part of that lifeless dirt beneath him. Then, Ace walked over. And his words made him feel the hope that I told you about earlier, and he sat up into a sitting position. And HUGGED HIS LEGS TO HIS CHEST. There's some self preservation! Some hope! Some will to exist, to live! Something we saw none of as he sat in front of his brothers corpse, shutting down. He sat there, open to his enemies, incapable of protecting himself. Practically anyone couldve killed him right then and there. I think he mightve liked that, at that moment. Like thank god he has that stupidly good luck cuz if he didn't I swear someone couldve thrown and axe or FUCKING ANYTHING AT THAT MOMENT and hed be dead becuase he never physically or mentally prepared himself. On purpose.

Our poor boy needs some fucking attention and therapists. (Insert my rant post about how jinbe is on the crew primarily for anger management and therapy, not just being a helmsman.) Ugh, smh ugly cries

Aaaaand thats about the end of the episode. Theres so many little tics and peesonality traits that you notive thru this episode, and I only noticed them cuz im rewatching this part of the show for like the third time. I don't react as much as the first time of course but some things are definitely sadder after knowing what's going on and what will happen later on.

Moral of the story (post)? I think luffy is almost equally as alike -if not, more similar to roger as ace is. Also, high key genuinely think Luffy met like NO ONE but Garp before he met Shanks and his crew. What the fuck was his first like 5 years of being alive like? (He wantd to be a pirate cuz Garp didnt want that. Rebellious baby asshole. And then shanks made things worse, in a good way for luffy. And then ace and sabo made that worse thing worse for a good reason. Luffy lives...for those influences. And that is fucking it. Why.

I wholeheartedly agree with your post and bullets. I believe he holds some respect for Crocodile, Doflamingo and even that guy from Fishman island. Cause they all attacked from the front, no gimmicks or underhanded tricks.

Now, originally, I would’ve stated that he would’ve put one bullet in Arlong and Crocodile. Doflamingo would probably have one too. But we’re going with Arlong and Crocodile, who lied to get what they wanted (i.e. getting the whole village by buying it from poor people (hey, welcome to America), or using Robin to gain knowledge of the Poneglyphs and doing whatever he would with them). So that’s two bullets. I feel like the one true thing that Luffy hates is liars and cheaters (looking at you Bluejam).

Enel/Eneru? Eh. Hody? Not interesting. That cat guy from Usopp’s village? Mmm probably not. Lucci? Whatever. Oh, but he’d cap that masked guy (i call him Face Fucker what the fuck is his name???) at least twice. And Wapol? Once. Alvida? Who??? Foxy??? Please. Magellan??? What??????? 

Not to mention the Marines, tho (looking at you Garp and Akainu), but so far that’s five bullets gone. One would probably go into Akainu, so that’s six.

But that was my original thought, and then I realized, from what I was told and read ( @freckledorca​ and I talked about these things (mostly Marineford/Impel Down) a bit when we first talked to each other and his points got me thinking) that Luffy has a serious grudge against Blackbeard, like, so serious that he gets super pissed just hearing that guy’s name. 

And that says more than any other villain he’s went against (aside from a couple, like, Enel/Eneru, Lucci, and Arlong? I know he was angry fighting everyone, but I know Arlong, Enel/Eneru and Croc had a special moment) but Blackbeard??? I hope he whips his ass so hard that Sabo feels the impact from across the world. 

But I also want some more wrecked Strawhats tbh

So, he would end up getting six MORE bullets and stare Teach down while capping him. Five for Ace (one, you lied, two, you cheated, three, you murdered his friend and a crew member, four, you hurt my brother, my greatest friend, five, oh my god I’m going to cap the holy fuck out of you), and one for taking away a part of him alone (you’re gonna wish you went against Shanks instead of ME).

Izo really loves theater, yeah? And Haruta. They used to put on productions of fairy tales in the living room and rope their siblings into being the cast, and Marco as the oldest ended up trying to direct/help/figure it all out for them, and he somehow just never got out of the habit? and they're in high school and yet he's still doing it and then we have Izo and Haruta as idk a real nice friendly casual ryan and sharpay?

and idk one of his other siblings, probably Thatch???? helps with the music sometimes and he's like, Marco, let's write a love story, and Marco is like nope, no thanks, let's stick to adventures like we do, kay? kay

Thatch is like, "noooooo we've never done a love story" "and I'm not gonna" "c'mon, izo would love it" "but it's a love story" "look we'll throw in pirates, too, okay?" "......" "you love pirates" "......no fair fine, okay"

and oh, it's the tale of roger and rouge

and usually he writes the roles for Izo and Haruta, yeah? with them in mind, which is kinda unfair because they're the stars of the theater dept now because of course they are, and they're amazing, of course, but it's hard for anyone else to compete when the main roles are literally written for them, you know? Only it's love story, and it's hard for Marco to wrap his head around for them, and he starts to drift, starts to go back to the fairy tales, starts to do typical prince/princess stuff.

Only, the princess is boring, so let her snark.

And somewhere along the line, he starts writing for himself, because he can only write what he knows. The princess becomes a pirate, Rouge, queen of the seas, embodiment of freedom, all sly smiles and snark and slippery, stealing and singing and leading a merry chase, and the poor guy, Roger, chases after her through a series of pratfalls, setting out to be pirate king and blinded by the stars she put in his eyes, and it's ever so fun, with quick teasing songs and a lot of playful exchanges and this one lovely slow duet on a beach in the moonlight

meanwhile, in the background, Ace and Sabo meet at, idk, karaoke. Because Luffy. Nah, wait, that's too au, hang on, we can fix this

they attended the same elementary school. Ace and Sabo were bestest friends and he ran away to their house all the time because his parents were never home  so they didn't know, only one day they had to move and took Sabo with them

...he tried to run away and got hit by a car?

Ace heard, thought he was dead, but he was just in a coma for a while? forgot stuff? and his parents didn't notice because it's not like they've been around anyway?

So Sabo turns inward and studies, because college is the closest escape he can manage, and he's gonna get a full ride and not rely on his parents for anything. He's gonna disappear and be independent if it kills him

MEANWHILE Ace likes Disney movies and reading, but his Grandpa wants him to join the military???? he doesn't want to, but Garp is like "ROTC or gtfo" so Ace compromises with sports, because still teams and activities

so he has to sports team, and boom, we get crouching jock hidden nerd, and he lowkey hates it, but it's life, whatever, and if he doesn't want it, well, there's nothing he wants more, so might as well, right?

So Sabo has this grades thing down, right, but if his parents move him one more time, he's gonna have to start working his way up to valedictorian again, he hasn't got time for this. He needs something to look hella good on college applications, and it needs to keep him out of the house but not take up valuable time and not sports, ugh, teamwork? no thanks, and nothing that requires anything academic, so it's band or theater, really.

He goes theater, maybe he can be like a lighting technician and study in the booth or something, or learn a practical skill like makeup to hide scars; overall a lot more practical than music. So he joins drama and doesn't think twice about actually auditioning.

And that's all well and good except he leaves the library one day to go to drama club and he passes Ace in the hall and Ace doubletakes so hard he almost falls over. It can't be Sabo, it can't--but it looks like him, he walks the same, maybe--maybe???? so screw practice, he follows Sabo to the theater, where tryouts are happening today because plot convenience

"Sabo," he says, and the guy turns around. Same eyes, same face, same suspicious paranoia, same bags under his eyes, same stubborn frown--how could it be anyone else? "Sabo," he says, reaching out, and the guy steps back. "Do I know you?" he says, and Ace goes cold

And he walks away, so Ace chases him all the way to the theater. He gets into a shouting match with has-to-be-Sabo right in the middle on the auditorium, and the theater teacher sighs and says, "if you have something to say, come up here and say it. Obviously you're dramatic enough for the drama club."

Ace storms on stage and yells at Sabo and Sabo yells right back and falls into taunts as naturally as blinking, and it's so easy, and he knows just what to say to get Ace to go red and splutter and chase him, and he also knows the stage and the area because it's his domain, and he bounces around as Ace chases him, yelling at him to come back, and Sabo just taunts and like, hangs over the rail of the fake pirate ship, and Ace throws up his hands and stomps around and says things like, "Why did I even miss you?!" and "I can't believe you forgot!" and "Luffy! Remember Luffy????" and actually--actually Sabo does

Sabo goes soft and says, "Luffy?" and Ace folds his arms and says, "Luffy," and Sabo sinks down to sit, resting his head on the railing as everything falls into place behind his thought, and Ace stands there, looking up, his heart in his eyes, and the teacher yells "Scene!" and Marco stands up from the front row and says, "it's them or I walk."

and of course the problem is that Marco wrote himself a love story, and as Sabo tilts his head and smirks sideways and says the words Marco wrote, of course he'd start to fall in love, because that's what he wrote it for. And every time Ace laughs and gets back up, every time Ace has a passionate, poetic speech, well of course the words cut Marco to the heart because that's what he wrote it for.

And the fact that they work so well on stage is only compounded by their chemistry offstage, where Sabo will drape himself across Ace's back to read the script over his shoulder and Ace will run fingers through Sabo's hair and murmur in his ear on days when the eye-bags are particularly deep. Sabo won't talk about his scars but Ace can touch them, press his hand right up to them, and Sabo will just sigh and go limp. No one's allows to mention Ace's tattoo, but Sabo's allowed to trace the letters with careful fingers. For two high school guys who met a few weeks ago, they're amazingly close, and Marco can only watch it all happen and tell himself that it's good that they're like this. It'll make the play better. It's a love story; that's what he wrote it for, and he never once expected to want it to be his.

And, see, Sabo owes Ace his sanity and Ace owes Sabo his personality, but they both owe Marco for each other and neither one is ever gonna forget that

And Ace goes to Marco to try to "get to know his character" and Sabo goes to Marco to ask if this line needs more vibralto or perhaps this harmony is just--like, could we do it like this? and Thatch is in the background making these awful faces at Marco behind their backs and Marco is Ignoring Him Entirely

Leafy: Sabo being the highish classed boy that he is he may have learned the piano and one day, he could be sitting in the theatre room, his hands lazily playing some sort of ballad, his fingers just glide on the keyboard but like unbeknowest to him, Marco had snuck in because its free period for him too, to like practice some chorus lines for the play and the way that Sabo plays with his serene expression, just looking like he belongs and the way he makes the piano sing, it makes him want to be a part of that, he is captvated and wants to join but?? is he allowed? The pull of the music is too strong tho and before either of them know it, he's there too, his fingers also on the piano now, the little song becoming something more as it turns into a little duet and sabo is startled at first but also?? he has a high respect for Marco and his skills at the piano so its like an honor and all and he loves the sound they create together?? so maybe we?? can like keep doing this if you want, just play

and oh we could probably get a scene in there where Sabo keeps "messing up" in the moonlight duet and Marco sighs and is like, no, like this, and he has to step in to show them and he only meant to do the phrase but somehow he ends up singing the whole love duet with Ace while Sabo watches his every move--for the good of the play, of course.

And Ace just can't seem to get this one bit of choreography right, where he is supposed to pick "rouge" up off the deck and spin her around and into an underarm twirl and Sabo is like, "drop me again and I'll scream, Marco, come show him how it's done" and Sabo is really light on his feet and so responsive it's a pleasure to work with him and he ends up going through the whole number, with Sabo beaming in his arms and Ace's eyes heavy on his shoulders, because he really does have to learn this, you know???

sabo being like, "I can do this backwards in a princess dress and heels, Ace, c'mon" because Sabo probably had dancing lessons. Ace learned to fight from Garp

Everything is happy until a fight, teach, idk, something goes down and the school calls their guardians

Leafy:  they're both like "why are you doing this? what is a play going to do for you? study and get into whatever college" while Garp is like "are you slacking on me, if you cant abandon this silly excuse of a curricular activity then what about military school?"

Leafy: so then Marco has to make things right somehow, like not entirely for the sake of the play but also for like them!! because?? he was so used to being around them and now that they are no longer there he misses them and also, like his two best friends boyfriends are miserable and not in the play together and ?? can we not do all three things? so marco recruits his siblings who happen to be in whatever sport ace is in and sabo's science lab, together they are able to help them keep up with practice/work and the play??

And then the play happens and Luffy drags his cross-clique group to go see it and all the Whitebeard siblings and basically everyone and instead of being about breaking down barriers and stuff it’s a cute little love story about defying your parents’ expectations/being yourself????

idk I’m sure there are ~Morals~ but I dunno what they are

and it ends with mas all happy and Thatch being like, “See? See? I told you a love story was a good idea!”

I was just watching the scene on Youtube in which Garp tells Luffy about his father and one of the commentors was like 'I wonder how Luffy's abandonment issues will come to surface once he meets his father' and everyone just answered 'Dude, this isn't Naruto' xD I mean, one's tastes have to be pretty flexible to enjoy both OP and Naruto. They're just too different.

It’s youtube tho. They’re more balanced and varied in tastes. On tumblr, everyone’s like “muh feeeels!! my poor babies!! Don’t touch me! I’m not ok”. There’re one piece fans here on tumblr who write these “my baby has mental trauma” meta too, but there’re also people who’re like “not this shit again” when Oda gave Pudding a bully sob story. Overall, one piece, while is cheesy in many places, is less sappy. I think it’s the humour and the characters don’t take themselves too seriously.

Dragon: the type of person that would keep quiet if he doesn't know what to say. He would not volunteer any information. It would have to be a "i will tell you because it is relevant to the current subject, even tho i don't really want to." deal.

Croc: would rather insult people than talk about himself. master of deflecting the subject. doesn't like people having information about him, and his past, that he doesn't want to get out.

Iva: the Queen of Kamabaka kingdom and has no secrets about themself. Weaponized Trauma. Will tell anybody that would ask that they were once a slave of the world government and why the world government needs to fall.

Aokiji/Kuzan: Former Admiral, his job was to talk to people. Likely doesn't care if people found out he was poor as shit as a kid, he was the student of Garp the Hero.

Buggy: Didn't tell anybody he was on Roger's crew for 20 years. Didn't deny it happening tho when people were like "Oh, you're that weird kid on Roger's crew" and he was "Yep, that was me!" Ended up in the background at world changing events so often that he can't remember most of them.

Okay but on the topic of the fyre festival, now I'm imagine a modern-day ASL au where the brothers organise a heist to scam money off people to give to the poor. Ace is the guy who's there to set fire to shit. sabo's the overly passionate yet goofy computer geek behind it all. luffy's just there for the hell of it. They pull it off and dragon and whitebeard are proud while Garp is screaming both internally and externally. I smell a fanfic
