More Elena get with Stefan more it show us Elena's decisions are screws, and Damon will love her even more (Elena is his ride to die) it's like Alaric who love Jo cause she make decisions who doom her. so Alaric's feelings for other womans are doomed cause he'll always be hanted with Jo's past mistakes, like Damon is hanted by Elena's decisions when she was with Stefan. Poor Damon and Alaric lol.
Damon has a hard time dealing with Elena choosing to self-sacrifice because it's not just the fact that he's in love with her. Imagine Stefan fighting to save Lexi's life, and you'll understand why Damon is so hell bent on Elena living. He knows what he is without her, and he doesn't wanna be that person. If Elena dies, Damon dies with her... that's the truth of him. That's why he nearly dies after Elena completes the ritual. Why he's nearly dying at Alaric's hands while she's drowning. She's just as much his life as he is hers.

AMAZING CHAPTER I loved it so so much
I detest Rebekah more than I have ever done right now. Letting Elena spend christmas on her own without a call or even a message, letting her almost DROWN in that pool only to “make it up to her” the next day by sex (I’m assuming) like be for real. She didn’t change one bit and will keep shitting on Elena for as long as she lets her to. I truly feel so bad for Elena right now, I can sense the loneliness she’s going through and really hope things start going her way.
I’m wondering why she didn’t just ask Rebekah about Jeremy, is their relationship THAT fucked (I can sense it only going downhill from now on)? Even if Rebekah wasn’t present when Damon and the others came she surely could’ve gotten some answers about it from Klaus or Stefan for Elena’s sake if she really wanted to (she could’ve just compelled Stefan)
Also absolutely LOVED the scene when Elena and Klaus were smoking in silence despite the fact that I feel that Klaus is starting to distance himself from her and show less concern for her health and well-being (hoping he was the one to pull her out of the pool). Maybe he’s just hiding his feelings for her really well, but I think right now his attention is on trying to rebuild his “relationship” with Stefan.
Anyways, absolutely banging chapter, will spend the rest of the day rereading and trying to decipher small clues. Praying for my girl Elena❤️
ahhhh poor Bex! to be fair, I think that Rebekah is so outside of normal time/life that something like Christmas, or New Years, or any other holiday, is nice to celebrate, but also not that big of a deal. It's like how she doesn't remember the last time she celebrated a birthday. Holidays are part of mortal life and she is just removed from it. (and-- she's a medieval person! even assuming she's a Christian (I do head canon them as Christian, but, YIKES! do they predate the split between the Orthodox and the Catholic church?) are we really prepared to think about how she would observe holidays like christmas, if she even still believes? certainly the holiday would be much more explicitly religious in her eyes-- and she missed the whole 20th century where traditions around the holiday shifted pretty greatly.) So I give her a pass on this.
As for the pool thing, she doesn't know Elena almost drowned! She left before that happened. but if you were to ask her what she was up to, she would swear up and down that she was doing what was best for Elena and best for their future together.
I'm not sure their relationship is actually that fucked up so much as Elena views it that way. Which says a lot, but as the anon I answered yesterday pointed out, Elena is not about to leave Rebekah because she is not about to give up this one chance at happiness. Who else could she be with? She wants a romantic partner. Her options are beyond slim. She's willing to put up with a lot because of that. Also, maybe in the back of her mind she remembers that time Rebekah compelled her to think that rando was Jeremy and killed him to mess with her. Could make her not want to actually cross the two.
Love your analysis of where Klaus is at. Would say that is spot on. But also possible his hands got wet this chapter.
thanks for commenting 💙💙💙💙

@sarcasticsnackpack sent from stiles stilinski to damon salvatore : " that's a lot of blood. "
Tumblr media
⚰️    ――――       DAMON  NEEDED  A  NIGHT  OUT  FOR  A  CHANGE.  he  had  been  so  caught  up  in  all  the  mikaelson  drama  that  he  had  forgotten  to  give  himself  some  time  alone,  enjoying  the  hunt  and  the  feed.  he  had  been  endlessly  drinking  from  blood  bags  and  enjoying  his  bourbon  all  for  elena,  but  it  didn't  seem  to  be  enough  for  her  no  matter  what  he  did.  he  would  always  be  the  bad  guy  and  he  would  never  get  the  girl  no  matter  how  hard  he  tried  just  for  her.  tonight  was  one  of  those  nights  where  he  felt  like  drowning  his  sorrow  in  some  poor  girl's  neck  and  enjoying  the  sweet  nectar  that  would  come  from  it.
Tumblr media
HE  LEFT  MYSTIC  FALLS  FOR  THE  NIGHT  AND  TOOK  IT  UPON  HIMSELF  TO  SNEAK  INTO  A  FRAT  PARTY  IN  A  COLLEGE  JUST  OUTSIDE  OF  TOWN.  it  was  a  costume  party,  so  it  was  easy  for  him  to  fit  right  in  dressed  as  a  creature  of  the  night.  he  was  enjoying  the  loud  music  and  the  dim  lightening  of  the  party  as  he  danced  the  night  away  with  a  girl  pressed  up  against  his  body,  periodically  burying  his  face  into  her  neck  whenever  he  felt  like  he  needed  a  drink.  it  was  euphoric,  her  blood,  and  he  could  never  see  himself  giving  up  this  way  of  life.  it  was  harmless;  he'd  compel  them  to  forget  whatever  happened  and  sometimes  even  fed  them  his  blood  so  they'd  heal  properly;  why  couldn't  stefan  and  elena  see  it  this  way  as  well?  he'd  never  understand,  nor  did  he  care  to.  after  feeding  on  her  once  more,  he  made  sure  to  let  her  only  remember  what  he  wanted  her  to,  and  he  slid  out  of  the  crowd,  heading  outside  for  some  fresh  air.  there  he  leaned  against  a  pillar,  enjoying  a  glass  of  bourbon,  until  a  younger  boy  had  approached  him  and  took  it  upon  himself  to  comment  on  what  he  was  wearing  on  his  face.  damon  looked  at  him  with  arched  eyebrows,        ❛      it's  a  costume  party,  you  really  think  this  blood  is  real     ?       ❜     he  manipulated,  rolling  his  eyes  in  annoyance.        ❛       i'm  sorry,  who  are  you,  and  what  is  it  any  of  your  business,  anyway     ?       ❜     he  asked  pointedly,  approaching  him  with  anger.

"we'll have to drag Elena away from Damon for the week but I'm sure she'll survive" possibly a poor choice of words, Caroline was dealing with losing Stefan a little differently to Bonnie losing Enzo. Caroline could get on and pretend none of it was happening. Drowning herself in routine, planning something to keep her busy. It was at night when she felt the emptiness creep in. After a full day of masking and surrounding herself with people, at night was when she was truly alone. "we can.. share a room though right?"
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Getting away was just what Bonnie needed. Even if it was just a road trip or vacation with Caroline and Elena, she wasn't going to complain. It was what she needed right now. "I...I don't know if I can be happy about Disney Land," she admitted as she looked at her, feeling guilty for agreeing with Caroline. "New York sounds nice, we can see some musicals and do some shopping and touristy things?"

2, 10, 12, 16, 23 get controversial queen <3
2. a compelling argument for why your fave would never top or bottom.
Well, I don't think Klaus would ever bottom because he has severe control and trust issues. Any time someone goes against what he says, he considers it betrayal, not to mention the number of time he actually has been betrayed (not always undeserved) and I just can't see him trusting anyone enough to bottom. Maybe like....decades later in a long term relationship.
10. worst part of fanon
Oh dear god. The entire fandom and the way it reacts to the sire bond between Elena and Damon. Like, that shit was fucked up. It was dub-con at best and non-con at worst. Elena is like a doll in Damon's hands, he shapes her the way he wants to. The most disgusting thing is that she's grieving Jeremy's death so Damon makes her turn it off, and then she's 'annoying' so she should turn it back on. And not once have I seen this being taken seriously. People are so busy hating on Elena cause they simp for Damon and Stefan that they forget that this an eighteen year old girl whose entire family died in traumatic circumstances, that she witnessed some of those deaths and now she's stuck being Damon's personal doll. None of that matters as long as people can make another 'I hate Elena' video. I swear there's a part of this fandom that's drowning in internalised misogyny but if you point that out, they'll flay you alive.
12. the unpopular character that you actually like and why more people should like them
Vicki, I guess, which is such a weird answer, but like her dad was gone, we never know what actually happened to him. Her mom left her too, and she was poor. People like the Lockwoods didn't like her being around them, and if I recall correctly, she had a job. She was a teenager with trust and abandonment issues who was left to fend for herself and her brother, and got addicted along the way. It always feels like she's judged far too harshly for just for being a teen with massive issues. And I feel bad about the way her story ended, not to mention the way Damon toyed with her, and treated her like an object. (There also seems to be a lot of slut - shaming going on there, but I'm not sure it was explicit).
16. you can't understand why so many people like this thing (characterization, trope, headcanon, etc)
I'm scared of answering this, but where does this notion of Elijah being the perfect guy comes from? Like the man is a murderer, he had no qualms sacrificing a seventeen year old Elena or a sixteen year old Davina. The man is a manipulator, and I love him for it, but sometimes, the takes I see, and the things I read make me think that people don't realise that he isn't noble.
Not once in the show has Elijah called himself noble because he knows he isn't. Klaus calls him noble, but the bar for Klaus is in hell, and Elijah is definitely better than Klaus, but he's not a good person. He's a monster, he compels people, and he breaks his word all the time. That's what is so interesting about him, and yet, sometimes, I see that people make him toothless.
23. ship you've unwillingly come around to
Klayley, I guess. Like I'm more of a Klena and Klamille fan, and I ship Hayley with happiness and sometimes Jackson, but damn do Klaus and Hayley have chemistry. They might be the best enemies to lovers done in the TVDU without the writers realising it cause they were a little dumb like that. But like, I remember this scene in s1 when Hayley is at risk, and Klaus wants to go there. He wants to help her and ensure that she's okay, and he even gets jealous of Elijah when Elijah helps Hayley instead. And when Hayley and Jackson are getting married, Klaus can't take his eyes off her, and then plans Jackson's murder five minutes after the wedding. Like....it's right there, and the chemistry is great. I personally believe Klaus loved both Cami and Hayley on TO.

Christmas at the Compound: "Couple" Days of Christmas
Day Five: Gingerbread Houses
Pretty self explanatory.
Tumblr media
Finn:
It was mostly a disaster at first. The walls kept caving in and the roof slipped once or twice but eventually you got something pretty presentable.
Tumblr media
Elijah:
Perfection. Not a drop of icing out of place. Subtle notes of Japanese and Russian architecture can be found in the variety of Runt candies dotting the roof.
Tumblr media
Klaus:
Oh... Oh geez it's bad. Between the two of you, most of the frosting disappeared pretty quick and what was left was barely enough to hold that poor excuse for a shack together.
Tumblr media
Kol:
In a word... Chaos. There's a large pool of those little rainbow dots with a little gingerbread man being ritualistically sacrificed via drowning by his fellow gingerbread men. Just behind this pool is a snowman as big as the house itself, he is the gingerbread village's god. The house is somewhat neat but not near as well decorated as the sacrificial alter/pool.
Tumblr media
(A/N: I had to.)
Stefan:
An actually decent house that the average gingerbread person would be comfortable living in, that is until you point out that such a person would be living in a structure made of his own flesh. Stefan couldn't finish decorating after that.

Tumblr media
I accidentally deleted 2000 words of story for poor Soundwave last night and had to rewrite everything but tbh, they’re absolutely worthit.  Their armor definitely makes me want to experiment with Celtic motifs for Hot Rod!
Full story below.
Suraya Widodo was born to parents Wijaya and Ni Made Saraswati on the island of Madura, Indonesia. They noticed that something didn’t quite seem right with their baby, who was fussier than most, threw fits when brought into crowded spaces and seemed mostly lost in their own thoughts, though this did little to dampen their love.
The name ‘Widodo’ (healthy) was given to Suraya (despite the masculine nature of it, which does lend to Suraya’s nonchalance about their gender in later years) in hopes that they would grow up alright despite their quirks.
Wijaya, a fisherman who wanted to give his family a better life in the more industrialized town of Bangkalan west of the island, pushed himself hard at his work, hoping to earn enough to allow them to settle down there comfortably.
He began to risk venturing out into ocean areas which were occasionally used as smuggling routes where more lucrative catches laid, careful to fish there during specific times to the day to avoid crossing paths with pirates and smugglers.
However, his luck ran out one day when a smuggling vessel came across him in broad daylight and silenced him from alerting the coast guards to their existence with five shots.
Suraya was five.
Saraswati, desperate to find a way to care for her child as the new breadwinner thought she had gotten lucky when a job scouter for a factory in Bangkalan came to the village. They were looking to offer work to single mothers as part of their corporate responsibility programme and extended the offer of employment to her and promised a hostel and training so she wasn’t out of her depth in the assembly line.
Seeing it as the best option, she left Suraya with her husband’s family while she worked and lived in a worker’s hostel on weekdays and returned to see Suraya every weekend.
She would give money to the family to care for Suraya in her absence, which was crucial since they weren’t fond of Saraswati (they had not agreed to Wijaya’s marriage) and found Suraya’s odd behavior off-putting and claims of ‘hearing voices’ potentially a sign of mental illness (which was fodder for them to demand even more money from Saraswati with the excuse that Suraya was a handful).
This routine continued until Saraswati was suddenly killed in a factory accident.
Suraya was nine.
The compensation for Saraswati’s death was enough for the family for only a few months and after it dried up, the neglect and abuse began. Though at times it was odd because Suraya seemed to know when they were in a bad mood and when they were looking for an outlet for their anger, and  the child would somehow almost always magically disappear during those times.
Then an agent claiming to be from the government came to see them.
He claimed he had heard about Suraya via their mother and wanted to inspect the child to see if they would qualify for a place in a ‘special school’ for ‘different’ children, and this had sounded tame enough to the family, who allowed him to see the shy, withdrawn little waif.
However Suraya immediately could tell what his true intentions were—-to have them locked up in a testing facility to figure out their ‘mutation’—-and attempted to run, only to be caught by his fellow officers outside the home.
The family was paid compensation for officially relinquishing Suraya’s care to the state, and did so without question, only relieved to be rid of their ‘burden’.
Suraya was taken to facility after facility in the state for the first few years to have a battery of tests, many painful, run on them to figure out their ‘special ability’ as an Outlier and to see if it could be replicated.
When they were in their early teens, they were transported overseas to a different facility as a bargaining chip for intel, tech and the like, coming into the ‘care’ of people who intended to use them as a government asset.
They never saw daylight except during transportation and they began to plan their escape as they studied the facility’s layout.
Their first attempt at escape didn’t go well however; they were caught, dragged back and had their eyes burned and blinded as punishment (at this point they had shown their handlers that their highly-enhanced hearing made them capable of navigating the world in total darkness, so said handlers didn’t not see this as ‘damaging the goods’).
If the handlers thought that the punishment would deter them however, it didn’t; Suraya just became more careful and subtle with the planning of their next attempt.
The second attempt came during a transport session where there were less guards and less access to tech to subdue them, though it came with a problem they did not plan for.
In their first attempt, they had tried escaping into the countryside. In this one, they hurled themselves out completely unprepared into a world louder than any world they had ever known; downtown London on a weekend.
The cacophony completely overwhelmed their senses and they barely managed to crawl-stumble into an alley as bounty hunters were enlisted to track them down.
It was here that they ran into one Ramiro Vasquez (Ravage) who was immediately concerned about their situation and once figuring out the nature of their distress, gave them his headphones to drown out the noise and kept them safe and hidden until the bounty hunters had left.
He then took Suraya back to the rented apartment he shared with Lara Soelberg (Laserbeak) and both agreed to let the waif stay with them for as long as they needed to be alright, and the three formed a little familial unit as Suraya grew deeply fond of the two Beast Men whom they saw as two of the most compassionate people in a horrible world.
Ramiro however understood that Suraya needed tutelage to properly harness and deal with their Outlier ability; having heard whispers of a secret Outlier school run Senator Sharifuddin Waseem (Shockwave) and knowing Sharifuddin as one of the few good men in the Senate, he decided to take the risk and confronted the Senator about the matter, promising to keep the secret a secret in return for helping out Suraya.
As it turned out the threats were not necessary, as Sharifuddin was genuinely  concerned for them and came to see them personally at the apartment. Initially,  Suraya was apprehensive about meeting someone else about their abilities, remembering full well how the first such meeting ended, but to their pleasant surprise, they detected no malice in Sharifuddin’s intentions; only the desire to help.
They agreed to enroll in Sharifuddin’s Outlier institute, coming back home to see Ramiro and Lara every weekend.
They excelled in their classes and soon mastered their ability and knew how to deal with the overstimulation that came from it, to the point where they could walk the streets with no problem.
In the wake of murders of Senators Nikomedes Momus and Gayathri Sharma, Suraya offered to become a spy for Sharifuddin, who was determined to solve the deaths, and Sharifuddin began bringing them to Senate meetings under the guise of them being his new aide.
They caught the eye of Senator Radbourne (RatBat) who seemed to pick up the fact that they were an Outlier, but rather than bring up the matter, requested that they work with him as well on.... matters regarding his constituents with disabilities.
Sharifuddin has his reservations about Radbourne and Suraya knew they were up to no good and both agreed to the arrangement so Suraya could dig up more information about them.
As it turned out, Radbourne was dirty as dirty as politicians came, but he had nothing to do with the murders. Rather, he was mostly preoccupied with an individual named Morgan Trayton (Megatron), the same individual whom Omar Parvez (Orion Pax)  a friend of Sharifuddin’s, had mentioned as a great writer.
Radbourne asked Suraya to track down Morgan with an offer the man hopefully wouldn’t refuse and Suraya, intrigued about this man with what they’d heard about him from Omar, agreed to do so.
They found Morgan in a vast underground fighting ring in Moscow, and after voicing some skepticism about him walking his written talk, he allowed them to peek into his mind to see how genuine and committed he was to his cause, and it took them aback for a bit to meet someone who despite being mired in tragedy, had Sharifuddin’s desire to make a better world and the iron will to back it up.
They pledged themself to be among the first members of Morgan’s rising revolution (which was aided by Omar spreading his writings through an underground press) and told them about Radbourne’s offer to supply weapons and augmentations to increase profits from the pitfighting racket.
Morgan agreed if only to use these exact items against the Senate once he’d acquired an army.
It was during this time with Morgan that they also met Ramsey (Rumble) and Friedel (Frenzy), a pair of dwarf miners who the man had been friends with for years, and almost immediately got along with their boisterous, gregarious natures.
They continued to be Radbourne’s liaison with Megatron until the start of the Clampdown when they watched Morgan kill the owner of the Pit, free those who wanted their freedom and take those who were loyal to him to meet with Sharifuddin to formally establish a rebellion.
It was about this time that Suraya found out that Radbourne had been conducting illegal experiments on Beast Men, something they took grave offense to, and they kept mining Radbourne for more information about where the experiments were taking place.
Upon finding out, they personally hunted down Radbourne as Stefan Scavarro (Starscream) initiated the Senate massacre to Radbourne’s labs, where he tried to fight them off only to finally find out the true extent of their abilities.
Badly-injured, his attempt at stopping them from freeing the captive Beast Men—-his “property as he would yell at them—-ended up with him hurled into a genetic splicing pod (commissioned from a ‘Mesothulas’) which he accidentally activated.
The process twisted him into a Rat-Bat-human hybrid, and rather than kill him, Suraya decided to leave the option to the Beast Men he tortured for profit in what they saw as poetic justice.
After those who wanted vengeance were done with Radbourne, Suraya gave the  Beast Men the option of leaving free or coming with them to be a part of Morgan’s revolution which would ensure that they were never mistreated and ostracized by the larger world again.
Two of the Beast Men took up the offer; Bastien Saville (Buzzsaw) and Gan Go-eun (Glit).
When Morgan, confident in Suraya’s abilities asked them  to establish their own division focussed on spying and intel gathering, Suraya chose Ramiro, Lara, Ramsey, Friedel and Bastien to work alongside them.
While Suraya occasionally questions Morgan’s actions, two things they have never questioned are his dedication to his cause and the compassion he shows to those they care for, and it’s enough for them to consider themself a true Decepticon till the day his objectives are achieved.

Live!Blogging Legacies s4x9
so...i have a feeling this will be a big episode???
less gooo
~
uhhhh
okay dragon!kaleb....
so is kaleb finally getting a plot now with legit character growth in the end or something???
also that poor dude...
its weird cuz aurora!hope is so much like no humanity!hope so it's hard to see the difference
ajdhlfaksdjfhalsdjfhs gdiiiii of course we get the hizzie reunion when its not really hope
pain
"you two have defined yours with lizzie" hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
who tf is this
are we actually bringing in classes back???
ooooooooh headmaster, that could be interesting...?
nevermind, no headmaster of this school should faint at that
so josie is leaving...does this mean kaylee is leaving the show  or are we getting a different arc for josie
poor finch though
its gonna hurt so much more that josie's keeping this from her
...well that was quick
nooooooooooooo
ethan go wth mg
okay im vibing with the lizzie/aurora!hope scenes
its just interesting
ooooooooooh is this the coffin thing that silas trapped stefan in (or something similar due to the whole drowning thing)???
eternity of torture vs killing hope
i guess this is how lizzie comes down from her hope-hunt?
honestly while i dont mind kaleb/cleo i think they've missed out on some serious relationship development screentime
so is hope's humanity back on now from being put in aurora's body?
i really hope not cuz that'd be a shitty cop out
awwwwwww she got a ticket for finch
so wtf is up wih burnt dude
the hizzie agnstashfljdahsfkdjaslfjalsdfhlasdfhlasdjhgljdhgas
"and for making me love you Hope Mikaelson"
SHE SAID IT YALL SHE SAID IT
IDC IF THE CONTEXT WAS MORE FAMILY BASED
uh
theres
theres no way that lizzie actually turned on her humanity
i mean that'd be very interesting for their dynamic
but
that almost feels too easy especially considering why her humanity is off in the first place
man if hope is lying right now it says a lot that lizzie believed it so quickly and easily ehehehe
........panda promise
HAH
I KNEW IT
I KNEW SHE WAS LYING
holy shit
she actually did it
she actually killed lizzie
kaleb and cleo do have their cute moments
i really like this scene
i feel like theres a methan/hizzie parallel here somewhere...
oh
i guess she didnt wipe his memory
nooooooooooooooooooooooooo
mg noooooo
methan angst gdi why
and over lizzie?
hgnnnnnn
i mean if mg was in ethan's position...would he have done the same?
i'm honestly not sure due to how much that was influenced on how they feel about lizzie romantically
yall lizzie is not worth ruining your beautiful friendship
maaaaaaaan poor finch
i think she's doing the right thing staying with the pack
finsie were cute
oh shit the sphynx dude!!! thats such a callback omg
okay who tf is this
sorry am i missing something?
okay im going back
yea im still not putting it together
oops
so does this mean we got heretic lizzie??
yup
holy shit
its actually happening
daaaaaaaaaaamn
--
Hizzie angst and Methan angst plus heretic!Lizzie????? Ngl I am content! I do almost feel like too much was happening in his episode to really give the Lizzie/Hope build up it deserves? But then again I was particularly tired today.
I still don’t really care about the Landon/Alaric/Ted scenes...idk I’m still bored.
Poor Finsie, they had a really cute run and their breakup scene was very well done and bittersweet. I saw a few things here and there about Kaylee leaving the show??? Is that true?
All and all, interesting episode!!! I do hope we get an episode dedicated to Lizzie and her transition without too many subplots though.

Guard (from Ajax to Hella)
short, angsty scenario prompts list for your angsty needs
tws for drowning, injuries, illness
( guard ) : one muse protects the other from someone who wants to hurt them
Tumblr media
“Ajax! Come to my right, fast!” She motioned for him to fall back, both her arms thrown out, knives at the ready. Except for their friends and her fellow ghost hunters, there was a new group of seven demons and five angels they were having to face before they could directly engage the two men who had orchestrated Celestial. Much like she and all her friends had thought, defeating them and turning the new experiments back human would be a task of enormous difficulty.
And she was not willing to lose any of her friends to this fight. Not Ajax, not any of the Corbeaus, and especially not any of the other ghost hunters who had been her hope when she had felt like she had none left and her heart had turned all black and bitter.
“Not so easy, Missus. Hella Jaakt, was it? I remember you.” The younger of the two men - it was clear they were the ones they wanted to defeat, from the more refined looks they had instead of lab coats and gloves - shot at her, without so much as a warning, and she ducked. “Pure shame... You could have made enough money to ensure you would never need to work at three places instead.”
The sneer in his smooth, silky voice was audible, as if echoing across his skinny face and hair with so much gel it looked greasy, and Hella felt one of her eyebrows raising in mocking. “Alas, despite the instruction you were given to merely study these poor creatures, you decided they could be taken back to the insanity of the society we rescued them from. And then they begun to think they could earn back a life they never had... Pathetic.”
“Pathetic will be your ass after I kick it, Uncle Samson.” Luceus attacked him, cutting off what could have been a stream of words too annoying to bear, and while the man parried him, Kamael and Stefan attacked him from his sides, holding him at sword point. It took all three of them for him to begin to show confusion in his movements, three opponents being an understandably larger and harder to defeat threat than one, and Samson Corbeau stumbled backwards and away from them. “You will pay for everything you did, not just to us, but to everyone else. And you will pay now.”
Like Samson, their grandfather Arnold Corbeau - the man who had drawn in Samson to help him with managing the paperwork where all the gruesome details about the project became clear - was also armed with a gun. “Hold your tongue, Lucifer. Have you been given permission to speak? I think not. Else, I may have to be forced to remind you who you are, and I do not believe you will like that. Go back to yourself. They are not your brothers. All of you are meant to die at each other’s hands. And so will those supernatural investigators, or whatever they call themselves.” He took aim at one of Hella’s friends, Inger, who had ginger hair – but she shot first, wringing the gun out of Samson’s hands, shielding the other woman now.
“That’s what you would certainly like, sir. Arnold Corbeau, is it?” The only woman among Hella’s friends who seemed close to Arnold’s age, although not much - she was rather in her fifties, while his hair was already turning mostly gray - motioned for him to cease fire. “I would like to have a few words with you. I hate to cause harm to beings that are not presenting a threat to other beings... unfortunately, you are one such person. I will only ask you to stop once. Now. It does not matter to me whatever the amount of funds poured in this project is; you must give it up immediately and release all the people you have forced to be your subjects. If you fail to follow...” She motioned, and Hella and Inger who now had Samson’s gun, put their weapons a little too close to Samson’s face, “...I and the others will be forced to act against our will, and I do not promise you will remain unharmed by the grandsons that have for long been desiring revenge against you.”

Elena rant
At what point does Elena become selfish in her desire not to lose any more loved ones? An issue for her from the very beginning due to the loss of her parents.
Tumblr media
I understand that she didn't wanna lose anyone else, but Jeremy lost just as much. Elena's adoptive parents were his parents, her aunt Jenna was his aunt Jenna, her biological father was his uncle, and her guardian was his guardian. He also lost two girlfriends.
Tumblr media
Elena was all Jeremy had left, which is the issue she faces when she goes back to the bridge. "I can't do this. I can't leave Jeremy." If she can't leave him in 4x6, then she can't leave him in 3x22.
The comment Damon made in 3x10 was purposeful, as they were building up for it.
Tumblr media
Jeremy and Matt separating in 3x22 was purposeful, still building up for it.
Elena should've thought beyond herself, her own losses. Forget how she would feel had she lost Matt. How would Jeremy feel had he truly lost Elena? Likely how she does when she loses him in season 4.
Tumblr media
That poor kid was finding out about Elena's death and Alaric's death at the same time, and in that moment, believed he literally had no one left. And that's what Elena wanted, what she expected. "I was ready to die. I was supposed to die."
The addition/purpose of Ric's comment.
Tumblr media
I would've saved Elena because Matt isn't her kid, Jeremy is.
"Matt, man, where are you guys? You should have been back by now."
Tumblr media
Sometimes things happen, and compromises/sacrifices have to be made. It would've been easy for Elena to drink Stefan's blood before drowning rather than arguing with him about who he should save. She didn't think to, not even for Jeremy. "That wasn't supposed to happen!"
Tumblr media
Because Jeremy is her kid, better question is who Damon would've saved had it been him in the truck instead of Matt... after all, Jeremy was the one that said he wanted to grab Elena, "get her out of here and away from all this."
Who do you think Damon would've saved?
Tumblr media
Had Elena truly died in 3x22, I believe Jeremy would've become a vampire for the sake of turning off his humanity. Not just to deal with the loss of Elena, but to deal with being alone, with having no one left...
because Elena couldn't bare to lose another loved one.

Wrong Love
Tumblr media
Summary: You’re in love with Damon, but he's doesn't want your love.
Warnings: swearing, sexual themes, violence
Word Count: 1752
“Stefan, he’s out of control!”
“Yea, Ric, I get it. But-”
“No buts Stef-”
I let the argument around me drown out into background noise as I reflect on what’s unfolding before me. The mob had formed. Pitchforks drawn. Torches ablaze. The people who were supposed to be his friends, were the first in line to cut off his head. Stefan always did his best to keep them at bay, but lately it’s been getting difficult. He’s been getting difficult.
Damon Salvatore.
The man who juveniley acts out because he’s broken. He’d never admit it. But he doesn’t have to. Not to Stefan, and not to me. We get him. All his long miserable life, Stefan has had what Damon secretly longed for. The friends. The loyalty. The girl. Acceptance.
And this time around in Mystic Falls, was no different.
I know Stefan holds on to Damon because he feels guilty. But I hold on to him because, somewhere along the way of knowing him, I fell in love.
Maybe that’s the key to truly seeing Damon. First you have to love him for all that he is.
Is it them that is blinded by their hate for him.
Or is it Stefan and I who are blinded by our love for him.
As Caroline, Bonnie, Ric, Elena, and Stefan continue to bicker in the living room, I decide to make my way to Damon’s room -- where I’m sure he’s listening to this all unfold.
As I reach his bedroom door he looks up from his desk trying to look shocked by my arrival. But I know he heard me coming.
“Oh please, I know you’re listening.” I roll my eyes playfully and walk over plopping down on his bed. He shrugs at me and takes a sip from the glass he’s holding.
“Shouldn’t you be downstairs plotting my demise with the rest of them?” he smirks. The smirk that he thinks masks his true feelings. But I see through it.
I don’t reply.
“Why are you here?” Damon demands growing impatient with my company. He gets up from his seat at his desk and walks over to his mirror, turning his back to me.
“It doesn’t always have to be you against the world Damon.” The words fall out before I could stop them.
He looked at me through the reflection of the mirror, never turning to face me. Never breaking the gaze we held through the reflective surface, I slowly got off the bed and walked across the room. Each step bringing me closer to him. I could see his body tense as I approached him.
Once I was standing directly behind him, he turned to face me. I took another step towards him closing the small gap that separated our bodies. I don’t know who had taken over my body, but it felt like I was no longer in control. But that’s what Damon did to me. Act first. Think later.
I brought my hand up slowly to his cheek. Hesitantly at first, but when he did not flinch away, with more confidence. I gently slide the pad of my thumb across his stubbled face. Before I know what I was doing, my hand trailed from his face, down his neck.
Suddenly Damon crashed his lips into mine. The kiss sent electricity through my entire body. I wasn’t sure if Damon had felt it too, but the way his lips hungrily devoured mine, I was sure he had. Wrapped up in the bliss of the moment, I pulled back slightly and mumbled the words I never intended for him to hear. Not like this.
“I love you Damon.” and immediately crashed my lips back to his. But this time it was different. He didn’t kiss me back. Instead he pulled away and put his hands on my shoulders to keep me at a distance.
“What?” Damon questions, chest still heaving.
“I-I um-” I wasn’t sure if I should repeat myself. But I knew he had fully heard what I said. There was no going back from it. The only thing left to do was to just dive in. “I said, I love you Damon.” I spoke confidently. In return Damon laughed shaking his head.
“Wow, baby brother has really missed the mark with this one.” He spoke almost to himself as he walked back to his glass he had left on the desk.
“W-what are you talking about?” I tried to push the embarrassment I felt, further down inside me, in hopes that it wouldn’t show. “Damon, I’m serious! I love y-”
I was cut off by the shattering of a glass. It took a minute to register that Damon had thrown his cup against the wall.
“DON’T say it again!” Damon snarled.
Whether it was the intensity of the moment, or the rejection I felt burning inside me, I couldn’t help the tears that formed in my eyes blurring my vision, or the anger that bubbled from within. I rushed to Damon shoving him. He didn’t move an inch.
“Why can’t you just accept the fact that someone loves you?” I shoved at him again.
“Oh spare me. I’m a monster. The villain, remember? No one loves me.” Now he was in my face. “You don’t love me.”
“Why do you do this?” I wasn’t going to let him intimidate me, so I stepped in his face same as he’d done to me.
“What was your plan coming here?” ‘Oh poor Damon so sad and alone, maybe, just maybe if he thinks someone loves him he’ll be good again.’ News flash. Nothing can save me. I don’t want anyone to love me. And I sure as hell don't need anyone to.” With his last words, Damon brushed past me walking over to stare out the window. A que that the conversation was meant to be done.
But I wasn’t finished. I turned around now talking to his back.
“Jesus Damon. I thought you were supposed to be better than these people?” He didn’t turn around. “You were the only one living their truth and not giving a damn who it bothered. But now you're just as full of shit as the rest of them.”
“I’m done with this conversation.” he barked over his shoulder, still not turning to face me.
“Damon-”
“I SAID.” He finally turned around -- eyes black, and the veins in his face bulging out.
“I’m done. Now get the hell out.”
All the hope I had that no one downstairs had heard my conversation with Damon quickly faded as I made my way to the living room and all fell silent. Caroline tried her best to act distracted, but Stefan always wore his heart upon his sleeve. The look he gave me when our eyes meet was the look of a boy who had clearly been down this road with Damon time and time again. Seeing as Elena, Ric, and Bonnie were the only ones in the house that couldn’t hear what was said, they watched me carefully for any clues as to what was going on. Curious eyes watched as I moved to the center of the room.
“For those of you in the room who don’t have superhuman hearing, please, allow me to fill you all in.” As I began my speech Damon made his way into the doorway of the living room. I knew I shouldn’t do what I was about to do. But the way he so nonchalantly leaned against the doorframe with that stupid smug look on his face, pushed me over the edge. I grabbed a half empty glass of Borbon off the table and threw it back.
“Upstairs. I told Damon I love him.” I began pouring myself another glass of the disgusting brown liquor.
“Pathetically begged for him to have me.” Just like the first glass, I chugged the whole thing down. The burn it caused in my throat was nothing compared to the burn I felt in my chest.
“And then, well Damon you wanna tell this part?” I extended my hand to Damon beconning for him to join me at center stage. “Come on D. Come over here and lie to them like you lied to me.”
Damon didn’t move from his spot on the wall.
“Fine. I’ll tell the story myself. See everyone, Damon told me he didn’t want to be loved. But everyone of us here knows just how untrue that is.”
Damon stood up a little straighter but still didn’t move from his place. If no one notice Damon’s sudden tension, I wanted to make sure they did.
“Oh. Now I’ve got his attention.” I called him out. Since he made no attempts to stop me, I continued. This time I spoke directly to Damon from my spot in the middle of everyone.
“Come on. Stop lying to me. Stop lying to everyone here. And please stop lying to yourself. It’s not that you don’t want to be loved. It’s just not me who you want to love you. Isn’t that right?”
“I’d shut up now.” Damon finally spoke through clenched jaws.
“See you want to be loved. Just not by me. No, no room to want me, when you’re too busy wanting,” I pointed towards Elena without breaking eye contact with Damon. I could see the anger boiling inside of him. “Her.”
As soon as the last word left my lips I was shoved so hard against the wall the air was knocked from my lungs. Damon was holding me in place by my neck. He looked so rabid I half expected him to start foaming at the mouth. Just as fast as Damon had pinned me against the wall, Stefan was by his side trying to pry him away from me.
“Damon! Get off her!”
“No Stefan, it's fine.” I strained to get my words out since Damon’s fingers were still wrapped around my throat. “He’s only proving I’m right.”
“Damon. Let her go. Please stop.” Elena was now standing behind Damon pleading with him for my life. Although the intensity in his eyes never simmered, the grip he had on my throat loosened.
“Damon. Leave her alone!” Elena cried out again. Damon finally released his hold on me and I fell to the ground gasping as the air rushed back into my lungs. As soon as his hands were off of my throat, Damon was gone.
And so was any hope I had of us being together.

ok ask game from my all my fav works by you so this is gonna be a long one, take your time answering.
DROWN ME IN ASH BURN ME IN SALT.
(lmao I had to capitalise that bc I love it so damn much)
WILD HUNT
well.... I'm guessing all of them will be capitaised
THE WAY BACK (god I love this one so much)
A VIOLENT KIND OF LOVE (you know my love for this runs actual blood red)
oh my god your gorgon one
POCKET FULL OF STONES right?
APOCALYPTIC (this one and Caroline's back tattoos have my whole heart and christ the wing porn *deds*)
this is not even skimming the very beginning of the list, but I feel like anymore and it would be a burden to answer so here you go!
also that queen of hearts cigarette and dropping to his knees scene, maám you and your muse can take me and sacrifice me to the gods, I am willing.
DROWN ME IN ASH BURN ME IN SALT: I wish I could tell you this was a great epiphany moment, but i wrote the first scene for AU week and then. Spent a year trying to expand it. I had that bit with Kol and the bone jewelry written for almost 9 months before I figured out the mental path forward.
THE WAY BACK: Answered here!
Wild Hunt: This started with the first scene, Caroline hiding in the shadows of Chicago and trying to figure out how best to deal with her injuries and her super small obsession with a man she has never met. This one was a bit tricky for me, because I didn’t have a solid starting point or a place I was working too when I first tried to write it, so I had to do a LOT of edits and rewrite to get to the point where I was happy with it. poor @kirythestitchwitch and @goldcaught listened to a lot of gnashing of my teeth and @klarolinedrabbles provided super early feedback that kept me from tossing it into my “i hate it and forget it” pile.
A VIOLENT KIND OF LOVE: Caroline sitting in the ruin of her bedroom, bleeding, and victorious. Stefan also bleeding out was a bonus win. I just really liked this concept of her sitting there all contemptuously, unbothered by the violence of her life, and just waiting for her darling husband to show up to take out the trash.
POCKET FULL OF STONES: Caroline standing in a crumbled garden of broken stone of her dead enemies. We didn’t quite get to that scene, it was alluded with Ester’s death and then Mikael's, but that was the intention. And then I just really liked the idea of her baking cupcakes for a living and you know, actually being in NOLA just to spite Klaus.
APOCALYPTIC: Caroline standing in Klaus’ garden with her monster’s wings, flanked by his garden, looking at the broken statue at what her kind had been once. I also decided almost immediately to give her that bright, floral tattoo down her spine to give her bone and gossamer wings contrast. This story had a lot of really fun contrasts, and Klaus as War was a LOT of fun to write.

Why do you only talk about damon being trash to elena's friends stefan is trash too. Not that damon is not trash because he is but so is stefan. Poor Matt is harrassed all the time by damon then stefan comes along and verbally attacks him and says every time he wakes up in the morning he better earn it. As if he earns is as if trash elena earns it like stefan nor elena is not morally bigger or better than Matt like stefan should suck it (I'm sure there is more trashy things different than damon)
OK
1. Why do you only talk about damon being trash to elena's friends stefan is trash too.
Uhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
2. As if he earns is
So the whole point of Stefan’s existence as a vampire is to earn the right to live --- it’s to atone --- it’s to do better and be better as much as he possibly can
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
3. like stefan nor elena is not morally bigger or better than Matt
Stefan doesn’t think he’s morally superior
Tumblr media
4.  Poor Matt is harrassed all the time by damon then stefan comes along and verbally attacks him and says every time he wakes up in the morning he better earn it.
As per usual with antis, you’re taking the ENTIRE  Matt situation out of context.
Matt is virtually on a suicide mission in 4x01:
Tumblr media
Matt nearly gets himself killed in 4x01 AGAIN and Stefan saves him:
Tumblr media
This is the entire conversation the two of them had:
Matt: What do you want me to say? Thank you? 'Cause honestly, you should have just let me drown.
Stefan: What? You think you were my first choice?
Matt: Elena's a vampire, because of me. I have to live with that for the rest of my life.
Stefan: No, no. You don't have to live with that. You get to live with that. Because Elena put your life before her own. So every morning you get out of bed, you sure as hell better earn it.
Stefan is telling Matt to fight, he’s telling him not to drown in self-pity, he’s telling him to live his life everyday thankful that he had a friend who would give up her own life for his. He’s telling him to LIVE.
Like holy shit, guys.

Songbird
Chicago knew her name just as they knew who her benefactor was. Her eyes flashed to him and suddenly the music on her lips tasted bitter. He devoured her gaze, sending her a dimpled smirk that infuriated her.
Especially with her by her side. Such a beautiful bride.
Written for June 2020 Bingo- Prompt "1920s" @klaroline-events
Songbird
1927
Caroline surveyed the room; the glitz and glamour still taking her by surprise. She was still not used to such luxury or even the flaunting of wealth in such a manner. She took in the guests and decor. Small lights littered the trees on the grounds and white balloons had been blown up for the occasion. The chandelier that hung in the main entrance of the large home cost more than anything Caroline had ever purchased in her life with its diamonds and crystals that sparkled when the light hit it in just the right manner.
Despite prohibition, alcohol flowed freely. Towers of glasses were stacked high while the champagne flowed down them like a fountain into a giant punch bowel. It was lavish and an insult to the rules the government put in place. However, he laughed at the rules, stating that they are guidelines that are meant to be broken, and did as he pleased. He owned speakeasies along with the rest of Chicago being in his pocket.
The marble flooring echoed as every woman’s heel tapped against it; rushing from one party goer to another. Their laughter drowned out by the sound of jazz coming from the grounds in the back of the manner. She could hear her own voice with the backup of the band she had grown to know and love over the last few years. Chicago knew her name just as they knew who her benefactor was. Her eyes flashed to him and suddenly the music on her lips tasted bitter. He devoured her gaze, sending her a dimpled smirk that infuriated her.
Especially with her by her side. Such a beautiful bride.
Caroline had always loved to sing and had dreamed of having a Jazz band of her own to back her voice; if it hadn’t been for him, she never would have had the chance; and most likely would be dead. She came from a poor family. She would spend her days in a tiny apartment in the middle of the city with her parents, singing to the neighbor’s child as her parents fought again. She never had more than those few walls to call home and it was enough for her. Even as the world fell into war and then the influenza took so many lives; her father’s life included. It baffled her mind that she ever would have made it so far to be standing on a stage, preforming for one of Chicago’s most lavish weddings.
His wedding.
She shouldn’t be so surprised. He had always made his interest known; from the moment they became acquainted. Yet, after having her in his bed for years, he still had not married her. Perhaps it was because she was not exactly a respectable woman. When they met, Caroline thought he was going to kill her, and if she had been anyone else; he probably would have.
Seeing him there with a woman who was one of the Chicago’s rich little debutantes, part of her wished that he had.
1922
Caroline walked along the docks, her heels hitting against the wooden boardwalk; letting anyone in the general facility know that she was there. She didn’t want to hide or run; Caroline was tired. She didn’t want to play this game anymore and besides; it wasn’t like she had nowhere to sleep anyway. She was tired and hungry. She had been sleeping under the stars for days and had little to eat. She hadn’t been able to find a man to take her in over a week and the money she had previously earned had since been spent.
Caroline was done. She knew what she was doing as the breeze from the docks grazed over her cold skin. She had left her coat behind somewhere and if she did not find what she was looking for, then the winter could take her. She heard that it would be like falling asleep. She looked down at her brown dress. It had since lost its luster and there were holes in it. Her stockings were torn, and her feet hurt from her heels; but she did not own another pair of shoes.
She had hoped that she would be in something prettier when she died but there was no changing that now.
Caroline’s thoughts turned from her inevitable death towards the Model T that just came to a halt. She could hear a terrified voice screaming from inside it. Two men exited the Ford and walked around to the back; neither man seemed to have noticed her presence. They pulled a third man from the back and tossed him onto the boardwalk before he quickly scurried to his knees. One man pulled a pistol from his belt while the other leaned up against the car.
“Please, please please! I didn’t mean it. I’ll pay everything back.” The man on his knees begged while the other man just aimed the pistol at him. The man kept begged while the other looked towards the man who was leaning against the car. That man raised his hand as though giving permission and the one holding the pistol fired. Caroline heard the loud pop of the gun and watched as the man who was keeling brains splattered against the docks. Caroline could not help the scream that passed her lips.
“Shit!” The man holding the pistol hissed and quickly went after Caroline; who started running. Reality of what was about to happen to her set in and her thoughts of death fled her mind. All she could think of was survival. She ran but the man caught her quickly and dragged her back towards the other, throwing her on the ground; right beside the dead body of the man they just murdered.
“Now, Rippah. Is that how we treat a lady?”
“Boss, she saw-“ The boss cut the man, Rippah, with a sharp look and the man fell silent. The boss knelt down before her and Caroline got a good look at him. He had curly blond hair and the most piercing blue eyes that she had ever seen. He was well dressed, and Caroline could tell by the state of his clothing that he was wealthy; and given how she was meeting him, most likely in the mob. Caroline was not a fool; she knew who came to these parts at this time of night. She had been looking for them in hopes of them doing the job for her.
“I apologize for my friend. He lacks manners sometimes.”
“It’s okay.” Caroline replied in a small voice
“What is a pretty little thing like you doing out here at this time of night?” His eyes traveled over her body and Caroline felt a blush fall over her skin. The man held out his hand and pulled her to her feet. “And so poorly dressed at that. You must be freezing.” He unbuttoned his coat and draped it over her shoulders and on instinct, Caroline pulled it tightly around her freezing body.
“Thank you.”
“You’re welcome but you didn’t answer my question. What are you doing here?” He didn’t seem angry, but Caroline got the impression that she should not have him repeat the question. Her eyes traveled to the body on the ground and the blood glistened in the moonlight; chucks of what she assumed was his brain lingered beside his head.
“For the same reason you are.” Caroline whispered, her eyes locked with his and she saw a moment of surprise in them. “I was hoping that something like this would happen. Having you do it for me would be easier than killing myself.”
“Then why did you run? Stefan here would have been happy to shoot you on the spot, but you ran.” Caroline looked over her shoulder at the man who she now knew was named Stefan. He holstered his pistol in his jacket and came to drag the body towards the edge of the docks; dumping him into the river. “You changed your mind. You realized that you don’t want to die.” Caroline gave her head a sharp nod. “Why did you want to in the first place?”
“I’m cold. Tired. Hungry.” Caroline’s voice was soft, and she saw the pity in both Stefan’s and his employers’ eyes. The latter reached out and tucked one of Caroline’s blonde curls behind her ear.
“I know how that feels all too well.”
“I don’t think I could stand another night sleeping in the cold and then I realized that it wasn’t going to be just one more night, but several. I thought ending it would be a mercy, but I don’t want to die. I just don’t want to live like this anymore.” Gathering her bravery, Caroline took a step forward and pressed her hands against his chest; dragging them downward towards his belt buckle. “But, if you’re willing, I’m sure we could come to an arrangement.”
“Is what you do?” He asked, stopping her hand by grabbing her wrist. His hold was gentle, and she was surprised by the lack of a painful grip. “You find a man willing to bed you in order to have a warm place to sleep? Then you go on your merry way when he pays you?” Caroline nodded and she could see a shift in his gaze. Gone was the sympathy and replaced by anger. “How old are you?”
“Seventeen.”
“So young.” He muttered and Caroline had to hold back a snort. She could tell that he was not much older than she was, despite the fact that the way he carried himself made him seem so much older. “Well, that ends tonight. Tell me, Sweetheart, what skills do you have? Other than the obvious, of course. I’m sure you’re excellent but I’m thinking of something that does not involve you lying on your back.”
“Uh…” Caroline was dumbfounded. She thought deeply at what she could possibly be good at. She could read but not well. Her father was never able to really devote the time to teaching her fully. She could cook when she had food and clean when she had materials to do so. Yet, there was only one thing she could think of that she excelled at. “I can sing.”
“You can sing?” He repeated, interest taking over him. Caroline nodded and he smiled widely, transforming his face into something far more handsome than should be legal. “Well, then. Sing for me.”
“Now?”
“Now.”
Caroline thought of all the songs she knew, and they all seemed to leave her. She was only left with one, the lullaby her mother had sung to her when she was a small little girl, scared of the shadows on the wall. Before he could ask her again, Caroline’s soft and warm voice caressed his ears. His smile softened and she could tell that he enjoyed what he heard. He didn’t stop her but instead let just listened to her sing. When the melody came to an end, Caroline could feel her heart pounding in her chest.
“You really are a songbird, aren’t you?” He moved his hand from her wrist and brought her knuckles up to his lips. He kissed her hand, his eyes still pouring into her soul. “And what is your name, Sweetheart?”
“Caroline.”
“It is very nice to meet you Caroline. I’m Klaus Mikaelson.”
1927
Caroline made her way into the makeshift dressing room she was using for her performance that night. It was one of the many demands she made when she was summoned to perform this insult to her person. It was large and lavish. There was a deep red couch pushed against the wall and a vanity set up at the far end of the room. She walked towards it and sat down on the bench; gazing at her reflection in the mirror. She did not need this much space, but she knew it was his way of trying to apologize; but she honestly did not know what she could ever forgive him for this.
The red roses in the middle of the room only made her want to scream. She knew who Klaus was. She knew what he was capable of from the moment she met him on the docks five years previously and yet she never imagined he would break her heart this way. She wished had had killed her instead. It would have been a kindness.
Caroline heard the door behind her open and fury swept through her. Klaus stood in the doorway and slowly closed it behind him. She turned on the bench and glided towards the table in the middle of the room. She picked up the vase full of roses and threw it at him. Caroline got a sense of satisfaction watching him dive out of the way. The vase shattered against the wall; water, glass and roses littered the floor.
Klaus, who she had to admit was dressed in such a dapper manner that it made her heart hurt, slowly approached her with his hands up in surrender. Hot tears pooled in her eyes and she knew that her black mascara was leaving a large trail down her cheeks. The mere fact that he had the audacity to look ashamed only made her angrier.
“Sweetheart-“ A large crack sounded across the room as Caroline’s open hand slapped his face. She hoped it left a mark. Klaus went still and Caroline raised her hand again to strike but before she could hit him, Klaus grabbed her wrist; making her hand immobile. “Do not hit me again Caroline.”
“Bastard.” Caroline hissed back at him as she pulled her hand from his grip. She turned her back on him and wrapped her arms around herself. She took a moment to collect herself before turning to face him again. “Well? Where is it? Where is this apology you have carefully constructed? Hmm? That is what the roses were for? Weren’t they?”
“They were.”
“Fuck you.” Caroline bit out and at least he looked ashamed. “How could you? For months I’ve had to watch you parade around with her. She wore that smile, gazing up at you as though you really loved her. Does she know what you are? Of course, she does. Everyone does. Tell me, how does your new wife feel about the fact that you had your whore sing for her on her wedding day?”
“Her name is Cami-“
“I don’t give a fuck what her name is.”
“and you’re not a whore. You have not been a whore in a very long time.” Caroline huffed. She felt in that moment that she never stopped being one. She remembered the first time Klaus took her to his bed. It was merely weeks after they first met, and he was the only man who had her body since; but Caroline realized that she still was a whore but only had one client. She thought he loved her, but she clearly was deluding herself.
“When we met, I had nothing to my name. Just a ratty dress and a pair shoes that hurt my feet.” Tears were falling fast now, and Klaus took a step towards her; this time Caroline did not stop him from touching her face. “But I had myself. I may have been desperate, but I gave myself to you. You gave me a life, but I gave you my body, my soul and my heart. I gave you a son.”
“A son that you have not let me see in months.”
“Really? You want to fight over that?” Caroline pulled out of his grasps; sending him a hateful glare. “What was I supposed to do? You broke my heart. You didn’t have the decency to tell me you were going to propose to that half-witted tramp until I read the announcement in the papers.” Klaus moved to interrupt her, but she held up her hand, silencing him. “So, what, I was just supposed to watch as you picked him up and take him home, to be raised by Cami.”
“Is that what you think?” Klaus whispered to her, his tone disbelieving. “Is that why you’ve kept Will from me? You thought I would take him from you? Give him to Cami and that the three of us would play the happy family?” Caroline turned and sat down on the bench that belong to the vanity. She crossed both her legs and her arms; refusing to look at him. Klaus made his way towards her and kneeled on the ground before her. He unfolded her arms and took her hands into his. “I would never take Will from you. You are his mother. Not Cami. You. I had hoped that you would extend that courtesy to me, but I suppose I cannot fault you for that.”
“I lost you. I couldn’t lose him too.” Caroline whispered to him and peeked at him. Part of her thought that she was coming here tonight; to this wedding and he would kill her. She knew that he would never harm their son, but she believed he had grown tired of her; her use to him having come to an end. Not even her singing voice could save her. “He was the last thing I had left of you.”
“I’ve been trying to explain for months Caroline, but you refused me at every turn.”
“You’re Chicago’s largest mob boss. If you wanted to see me bad enough, you could have managed it.”
“I respect you enough to not just barge into your home, Sweetheart.”
“Tell that to your wife downstairs.”
“I have handled this badly.” Klaus at least had the decency to look ashamed. Caroline thought back to all the gifts and flowers he had sent over the last few months and how she sent them back. She thought on how she refused him access to her penthouse in the heart of Chicago that he had built for her shortly after she started singing at his speakeasy. “How can I acquit myself?”
“Get an annulment.”
“Will a funeral do?” Caroline’s eyes snapped to his, her heart pounding. “If you would have let me explain instead of turning me away at every turn, we might have been able to avoid all this heartache.” Klaus picked up her hand and kissed the back of it again. “I needed the O’Connell assets and the only way to do that was through marriage to Camille. Unfortunately, the only way her brother would allow me to marry her was if she believed that I actually loved her. However, Cami is not going to survive her wedding night. Neither is her brother in fact. As her next of kin, I will inherit the entire O’Connell fortune and their business connections.”
“That was why you’ve been parading her around town for months? To woo her? Just so you could marry her and then kill her on your wedding night?” Caroline asked, knowing how charming Klaus could be. For months she had been imagining them together, doing all the things she had had done with him. Never before had she felt so discarded as she had when she saw them together at his club; him looking at her as though she hung the moon. “You bastard.”
Caroline, consumed with anger, pushed Klaus to the ground. He clamored to his feet quickly just as Caroline was getting to hers. She balled her hands and hit his chest; but they both could feel the lack of effort behind her assault. She hit his chest over and over again, hot tears streaming down her face. Soon enough the fight left her, and Klaus pulled her into a tight embrace; rocking her back and forth as she cried into his chest, staining his white button-down shirt black.
“I’m sorry Caroline.”
“You broke my heart.” Caroline muttered into his chest. “I thought you stopped wanting me and that you were going to take Will from me. I thought I was going to end up having to sell myself again to make ends meet.” Klaus froze under her touch, not believing that she would have thought such a thing. “Then you brought me here to sing to her. I thought you were going to kill me, making room for her.”
“It was the only way I could get you to speak to me.” Klaus told her, pulling her from his chest. Caroline looked up into Klaus’s eyes and she could see the pain being away from her caused; and it gave her hope. He placed his hands on her cheeks, smearing the mascara across them. “I want you to hear me Caroline. You will never lay on your back again to survive. I refuse to allow that to happen. I love you and I could never kill you. I have almost since that first time I heard you sing. My little songbird.”
“You’re still a bastard.”
“But I’m your bastard.” Klaus soothed her and Caroline gave an insufferable huff. He kissed the top of her head. He could tell that she was still mad at him and he knew that she should be. When he explained why Caroline was refusing to see him to his brothers, even Kol explained that he messed up. Hearing that he made a bad decision by his younger brother whose entire life was nothing more than a string of bad decisions hit home. “How can I make up for it? Shall I worship you? Shall I get on my knees and show you how much you mean to me?”
“Seriously?” Caroline stated with an amusement in her tone. “You’re newly married and instead of dancing with your bride, you’re up here trying to seduce the nightclub singer who probably looks awful at the moment?”
“You look beautiful. The long white silk dress was a nice touch by the way.” Klaus teased her, knowing that she chose to wear white for the soul purpose of making the bride even more angry. “And, yes. I want you. It’s been months since I’ve had you in my bed. I miss you. I miss waking up to you in the morning and hearing you sing to Will.” Caroline opened her mouth to retort but Klaus placed his finger on her lips. “I know it was my fault. You do not need to remind me of that.”
“Well, if you were so desperate for attention, I’m sure Cami would have been more than happy to meet your needs.” Caroline bit out, her hatred for Klaus’s new wife bubbling at the surface. Klaus had always made it known to Caroline that he did not want her in another man’s bed; and it was a sentiment that Caroline shared when it came to him. She knew that he was a powerful man who would do what he pleased but she did not want to share him. “I’m sure she has been very useful.”
“I’ve never touched Cami. Not like that.” Klaus told her and the firmness in his voice made her believe him. “I have not had another woman in my bed for years and I do not plan on starting now. I’ve done many horrible things but being unfaithful is not one of them.”
“Says the groom seducing the nightclub singer on his wedding night.”
“I’ve never been unfaithful to you.” Klaus clarified and Caroline gave a small genuine smile. Klaus wasn’t out of the woods completely, but he was making progress. She would still make him work for forgiveness and earn her trust back completely. Pretty words and murder do not make up for the months of heartbreak that Caroline had to suffer for his agenda.
“Good.” Caroline leaned up and kissed his lips gently. At first, Klaus did not believe exactly what was happening. Soon enough, Klaus deepened the kiss and pressed Caroline’s body to him; having her wrap her arms around his shoulders. Their kiss quickly turned into a battle of tongues that was going to have no winner; for they both where stubborn. Klaus backed Caroline up until her legs hit the stool of her vanity. Klaus reached over and tossed all the contents of the vanity onto the ground with a clash and sat Caroline on the hard-wooden top; her back pressed against the mirror. Caroline weaved her hand through his hair and pulled his head back. “I want you on your knees.”
With a devilish smirk, Klaus pulled the stool from the vanity and sat down upon it. He placed his hands on her legs and spread them; trailing the long silk dress up her legs until it was at her waist. His hands traced over the stockings, garter and the belt that held it around her waist. Caroline knew he liked to see her in lingerie; especially when it was hidden under her clothing, a secret only he knew about. She had hoped that he would see her in such clothing before slamming the door in his face, but this was far better. Klaus’s eyes turned upward when he noticed that she was not wearing anything that covered her center and smirked at her.
Knowing that it was a game she had wanted to play, Klaus remained silent and reached out to touch her clit; feeling how wet she already was. He traced the bundle of nerves and Caroline arched her back; crying out his name. He slipped two fingers inside her and began to pump them in and out; curing his fingers in order to hit that one spot inside her that he knew pushed her towards the edge. Klaus leaned forwards and replaced the thumb with his tongue; licking and sucking at her center.
“Yes. God yes. Klaus! Yes!” Caroline cried out as she gripped at his hair, guiding him in the direction that she wanted him to suck at her. She spread her legs wider as though to give him more room. She wanted to move her hips in order to fall into a rhythm, but Klaus gripped them; holding her still. She continued to scream out his name, knowing that the party was in full swing and they would not be able to hear her over the music she could hear; although, part of her wished that Cami could hear exactly what her husband was doing in that moment.
The thought of what would have been Cami’s heartbroken face is what sent Caroline over the edge. The wave of release washed over her and she did not care that how she looked in that moment; all she could focus on was how Klaus’s tongue licked up her juices from her release.
Once Caroline came down from her high, she pulled on Klaus’s hair and pulled him up to her, pulling him into a bruising kiss; tasting herself on his lips. Her hands went down to undo his belt and push his pants down his legs. Realizing what her intent was, Klaus pushed his pants down far enough that he was able to free his acing member. He lined himself up with her, his eyes pouring into hers, and he eased his way inside.
“Klaus.” Caroline hissed as she felt him stretch her. It had been months since she had been with him and her body was readjusting to having him inside her. Slowly, Klaus pulled out before easing back inside her. After a few gentle thrusts his pace began to pick up speed and turn into a harsher rhythm. He tilted his head so his lips were close to her ear and Caroline could feel his hot breath on her skin.
“Do you like that Caroline? Do you like how it feels when I’m inside you? Stretching you?” Klaus whispered in a low tone, that made Caroline whimper. The vanity creaked underneath their rocking movements. “I’ve missed you. I’ve missed feeling you and hearing you as you cry out my name. You are mine Caroline and I did not like it when you defied me.”
“You’re the one who got us into this mess. Oh! Just like that!” Caroline hissed as he hit a sharp angle inside of her, causing her to cry out. She dug her nails into his shoulder, knowing that his suit jacket would prevent her from leaving the claw marks she desperately wanted to leave. She wanted to mark him; to show the world that the most powerful man in Chicago belonged to her. “And don’t you dare assume that you do not belong to me. I do not care how powerful you are or who you are trying to screw over. Pull a stunt like this again and you’ll never feel this again.”
“Christ Caroline, I love it when you’re angry.” He thrusted hard into her; the vanity slammed into the wall behind them. “She could never compare to you. She lacks your smile and dark humor. She does not understand what it takes to be in this world. She wants to fix me and thinks that I am capable of redemption. She does not know me like you do. She has not stood beside me or given me her loyalty like you have. It will always be you Caroline. From this day forward, I will only give myself to you.”
It was his vow that made Caroline come again, screaming out his name as loud as she could. Klaus froze as he released himself inside her, wondering if she would be able to give him a second child. They lingered with one another for a few moments before Klaus pulled himself from her body; Caroline whimpering at the sensitivity her body now felt.
Klaus stood back and pulled up his pants while Caroline slid off the vanity; taking a seat on the bench in front of it; feeling Klaus’s release on her thighs. She picked up a few odds and ends and placed them on the vanity before looking at herself in the mirror. It was a frightful sight. Her hair was falling from the pins she had holding into a wavy bob; her make-up was completely smeared across her face. She had a few more sets to sing before the party ended and she could head home.
Caroline started to right her appearance when Klaus came up behind her. He placed his hands on her shoulders and leaned down to kiss the top of her head. Out of habit, Caroline reached up and took his hand into hers. He brought it to his lips and kissed it. A looked passed between them and they both knew everything hinged on what happened tonight once the party was over.
Caroline would go home after the last few rounds on stage. She would check on her son who should be fast asleep in his bed. She would kiss head and head to her own bed, knowing that she would be tired the next morning; wondering if Klaus was going to stay true to his word or betray her again.
Their relationship hinged on what he chose to do.
“Klaus.” Caroline called to him as he made his way to the door in order to return to the party below. He paused and looked over his shoulder at her. “If Cami is not dead by morning, I meant every word. You’ll never have access to me again.”
Klaus gave a curt nod and left the door; closing the door gently behind him.
Rumor had it that Cami’s screams could still be heard echoing in the mansion walls long after her husband murdered her on their wedding night.

Always kinda hated the Augustine storyline. I felt they just bought it in to make us feel sorry for Damon and then minimise the shit Stefan went through during the summer.
Like look at poor Damon he was captured and tortured for 5 years and no one noticed - not even his brother who he wasn’t talking to at the time anyway.
That is so much worse than being put in a safe and then thrown into the depths of the water to drown over and over again while your brother and your ex spend the summer fucking each other and don’t notice that you haven’t called in months.

The Vampire Diaries
Re-write Season 1
MASTERLIST
Pilot
PART ONE
*this is a first person book*
Tumblr media
The alarm clock is what wakes me up in the morning. It's excessive beeping is enough to wake everybody. I quickly slam the snooze button and get up out of bed.
Matt pops his head in, he's already dressed for school. "Sleepyhead hurry up, we're gonna be late" I yawned and waved him off with a hand.
"I'm going" I grumbled as I get up and head to my closet.
My name is Ariel, Ariel Donovan. I live with Matt and Vicky. There the only family I have left.
My mother died on a camping trip. I was there but I don't remember it. The doctors say it was because of the trauma, that my brain shut that memory out.
I don't know if not remembering is a blessing or a curse. The authorities say it was a wild animal attack, apparently I called 911 but I don't remember.
I never met my father, he was never around, abandoned me when I was just a baby.
When my mom died, I was forced to live with her sister, my aunt. And she was forced to take me in. If it wasn't for the law she would have sent me off to an orphanage.
Of course she's never around like she's supposed to be. So I take care of Matt and Vicki. Matt does what he can, and Vicky well... I have tried several times to get her to quit smoking and drugs but to no avail.
I settle on a pair of jeans and a green shirt. I have my fathers hair, and my grandmothers brown eyes.
How do I know that my father has blond hair? That's because my mother didn't have blond hair.
Brown eyes mostly run in the family, well except Matt, he has these blue eyes, he gets that from his dad. Who is god knows where. I have my mother's features though.
And if I look in a mirror, I can try to picture what my father looked like.
When my mom was alive, she never talked about him. I always assumed that it was because of the fact he left her.
But even when she died, I couldn't find my dad's name on my birth certificate, or any other scrap of paper. And whenever I asked Kelly about it, she would never answer.
I quickly pack my bags and hurry out the front door where Matt's waiting in his car.
I have my own car yes, but it was being worked on, after Vicki crashed it. She was drunk.
And the car was brand new, I got it as a birthday gift. So I were pretty upset when she ruined it.
I get in the front seat. "So are you excited" I ask him, my feet shaking with excitement. He only grins, one corner of his mouth lifting higher than the other.
"A bit" The back door slams making me jump in my seat. I shift in my seat to face Vicky, who was staring intently at her phone.
"Hey Vicky"
"Hey" She response back in a dull tone. Knowing she wasn't going to speak anymore than a few syllables, I turn back in my seat.
"Drive"

"Caroline!" I call out to my blonde best friend. She turns at the sound of her name and smiles when she sees it's me. She excuses herself from the person she was speaking to and made her way over to me.
"Hey Ariel" She said with a smile, embracing me in a hug. "Hey care" I said hugging her back. Caroline is one of my best friends. She's been with me through so much. Ex- my mother's death.
"Have you seen Elena or Bonnie?" I asked parting from her to take a look around the yard. She shook her head, her hair bobbing with her movements.
"No I haven't, but I'm sure they're inside"
"Let's go then" I said, she grabbed my hand and dragged me inside the halls of our high-school. Mystic Falls Timberwolfs.
We spot them both at the lockers and before I can even make a move to hug Elena or say hello Caroline beats me to it.
"Elena. Oh my god" she said, rushing up to her and drowning her in one of her hugs.
"How are you?" She asked. "It's so good to see you. How is she? Is she good?" Caroline asked Bonnie like if Elena wasn't standing right in front of her.
"Caroline, I'm right here. And I'm fine. Thank you" I crossed my arms and sent Elena a secret glare.
"Really?"
"Yes much better" Elena reassured her. "Oh you poor thing" Caroline said, hugging her once more.
"Okay, Caroline" I said grabbing her by the shoulder and pried her off of Elena. "Okay, I'll see you guys later"
"Okay, bye" Elena said as Caroline walked off.
"Hey Elena can I speak to you?" I asked her and motioned to the other side of the hallway. She nodded and I dragged her off to the side.
"Are you okay?" I asked already knowing what she was doing. "Yes Ariel, I'm fine" I shook my head.
"Your not, Elena I used that facade when I was younger and I was never okay" Elena recently lost her parents.
Car accident. And while she might act like she's fine I know she's not. Elena and I have grown closer as friends, because I know what she's going through and it doesn't get easier. Take it from someone who knows.
"Your right. I just don't wanna be the girl who lost her parents you know? I wanna start fresh but that's not gonna happen if I keep being the same old Elena" I nod slightly and hug her.
"Just promise me that you'll come to me when something's bothering you. Okay. I'm here for you" She nods and stares up at me with her chocolate eyes.
"Thanks Ariel" She says with a smile.
"No problem". We go join Bonnie and the three of us walk through the halls, Bonnie in the center and me and Elena at her sides.
We were talking about our summer when Bonnie grabs us both by our arms and makes us jerk to a stop in front of the schools office.
"Hold up, who's this?" She says looking in. Theirs a guy standing there, his back turned to us. He's wearing a dark leather jacket, he's tall.
"All I see is back" I said.
"A hot back" Bonnie adds with a smirk. Elena simply chuckles at us both.
"I'm sensing Seattle, and he plays guitar" Bonnie says, staring at his back like if she can see to his soul.
"You're really going to run this psychic thing into the ground, huh?" Elena asks looking at her best friend.
"Pretty Much" People in the hall make some commotion and Elena turns to see Jeremy (her little brother) go inside the bathroom.
"I'll be right back" She says and goes off to follow him. "Please be hot" Bonnie begs no one making me laugh.
I drone on in class. I'm sitting behind Elena only a few seats away from Matt who stares at her. They used to date and he wants her back, I can tell by the longing stare.
She turns her head slightly to the side to look at the new guy. He's cute, I'll tell you that. He was brown hair and these forest green eyes.
Elena turns her head back when she sees him look back at her. I almost smile. I pull my phone out and text her.
Ariel:
Hawt-e.
Staring @ u.
I see her pull her own phone out and look at it. I can tell she's smiling by the way she sits up.

"Good Afternoon Ariel" Zach says as he opens the door to his home.
"Hey Zach" I said with a smile as I stepped inside. Zach has a huge living space. It's called the Salvatore mansion. He lives alone.
Zach or Zachariah Salvatore is like a father to me. My mother and him were friends, so I always visit him and help him around this huge house.
When my mom died, he became one of my legal guardians.
My aunt Kelly almost filed a law suit to make sure she was the sole guardian.
the only reason she never did that was because Zach wasn't gonna go down easily, plus her lawyer told her that with all the money Zach earns and his living space they might as well give him full custody.
So they treated it like a divorced parents case, I have my own room and everything.
I stayed with him on the weekends, Kelly on weekdays. I haven't stayed over since Kelly started taking off though.
"How was school?" He asks closing the door behind me.
"It was great" I said setting my bag down at the door. "Well I'm glad. Do you want something to drink?" I nod and he rushes off to the kitchen.
I walk deeper inside and see books clattered around the sitting area. With a sigh I pick them up and place them neatly on the table.
"Here you go" Zach says from behind, he holds two cups in his hands. I take one and sip. Tea. Not my favorite but it'll do.
I stay at his place for a while longer, talked about how my day went, the new kid and how his day went. I was there till it was almost noon, then I went to go meet up with Caroline and Bonnie at the grill.
"His name is Stefan Salvatore. He lives with his uncle at the old Salvatore boarding house.
He hasn't lived here since he was a kid. Military family, so they move around a lot. He's a Gemini, and his favorite color is blue"
Caroline declares, spinning circles with her straw in her drink.
"You got all of that in one day?" Bonnie asks in disbelief.
"Salvatore? Huh. Zach didn't tell me he had family visiting" I say confused, moving to sit down at the table.
"Oh please. I got all of that between third and fourth period. We're planning a June wedding" I snicker.
Shocker Caroline's got dibs on the new guy. Stefan Salvatore.
I also wonder why Zach didn't tell me. You'd think that would come up in our conversation from earlier.
"Oh Ariel sweetie, by the way. I have my nephew living with me now."
I frown, wait hold up.
I was at Zach's house last night, how the hell did I miss a 5' or 6' foot person? I store that mental note for later.
Matt takes a seat with me and Bonnie. "How's Elena doing?" He asks.
"Her mom and dad died. How do you think?" I said pursing my lips.
"She's putting on a good face"
"Has she said anything about me?" He wonders.
"Uh no. So not getting in the middle, you pick up the phone and call her"
"I feel weird calling her. She broke up with me"
"Give her time Matt" Bonnie says with a reassuring smile. My eyes trail over to the door where Elena walks in with Stefan right behind her.
I am clearly not the only one who notices cause Caroline and Tyler are staring.
Tyler was one of my friends, he was Matts best bud, when I was younger, I almost always saw him around so we became friends.
He has this tough guy thing going. To me, he's another annoying brother. And for him, I'm like the annoying sister he never had.
Matt gets up and I want to follow but I also kinda wanna see how this plays out.
He goes over to them and introduces himself to Stefan before giving Elena an awkward hello.
Stefan and Elena join all of us at the table but Matt doesn't.
"So you lived in mystic falls?" Caroline asks.
"Mm-hmm. And I moved when I was still young"
"Parents?" Bonnie asks.
"My parents passed away"
"I'm sorry. Any siblings?" Elena asks. Stefan shook his head all while staring at her.
"None that I talk to. I live with my uncle"
"Zachariah" I spoke up making him look at me.
"Yeah. How did you-"
"Zach is kinda like my father. I go over a lot. He didn't mention you to me" Before he can respond Caroline speaks up.
"So Stefan. If your new then you don't know about the party tomorrow. It's a back to school thing at the falls" Stefan looks over at Elena.
"Are you going?"
"Of course she is" Bonnie comments making Elena purse her lips. She pushes a strand of hair behind her ear and looks up at Stefan. "I will"
So what do you guys think? Is it good so far? Fingers crossed!🤞
Kisses
