Mother and son, you can tell one of these portraits I tried a lot harder on lol. Redcrest and Divingstrike, a Pondclan elder and warrior. Both are based on different species of Merganser. I'm honestly quite proud of both of these designs. You can read more about them on their Toyhouses, but they aren't very fleshed out yet.

Redcrest is a proud old cat with high expectations of herself and others, and not very outwardly affectionate though she loves all her kits and grandkits. She is quick to offer dissent and advice, even if she isn't asked, though her age and experience makes her viewpoint valuable.

Divingstrike is cold and critical, but loyal. Only his siblings and mother seem to be able to easily get along with him because they don't take his bristly personality as seriously as other cats.

PondClan Cats P1

This is part of a Multipost.

So, to start off my PondClan lore n character bullshit, so I decided to start this off with talking about the cats "in charge". Meaning, leader, deputy and medicine cats c:

Quailstar

Quailstar, formally Quailfeather is a lithe, pale-gray she-cat tabby with amber eyes. She’s the current leader of PondClan and has been for roughly 4 years (~48 moons). She is a calm leader, often coming to resolutions with minimal fighting. She’s inquisitive, wise and fierce. Quailstar is roughly 68 moons old.

Quailstar has two brothers, Ashstripe and Smokeear(†). Their parents are Wrenpounce(†) and Nightyowl. She was formerly a ThunderClan warrior before venturing beyond the falls. As an apprentice, Quailpaw was fierce, energetic and ambitious. She knew what she wanted to be, she has mellowed out with age, though, she still has that energetic spark in her eyes when reuniting with her brother, Ashstripe.

Flowinglily

Flowinglily is the deputy of PondClan. A fierce, arrogant she-cat. She is a cream cat with white paws and tail tip. She has a scar on her hind leg and a nick on her ear due to a skirmish with a rogue cat.

Flowinglily is 54 moons old, and whilst she can be a force to be reckoned with, she is also an incredibly caring she-cat for her clan. She is either boosting morale or giving warriors and apprentices pep talks. She does not have an interest in becoming mates with anyone nor having kits of her own.

Ivorynight

Ivorynight is a battle-scarred black she-cat with a graying muzzle. She has brilliant green eyes, however blind in her left eye. She also has a missing front left leg. A grouchy yet nurturing old medicine cat. She appreciates having Lynxleaf as her former apprentice, knowing the clan is in good paws. She’s trying to cherish the little time she has left in the clan as her strength weakens with age.

Ivorynight grew up as a rogue alongside her brother, Battlescreech(†). She gained an interest in herbs and healing secretly, learning what they do passively. After joining PondClan, Ivorynight was trained properly, now receiving dreams from StarClan. She is approximately 105 moons old, and will plan to retire rather than die in the medicine den.

Lynxleaf

Lynxleaf is a lanky ginger-and-white tom with a stumpy yet bushy tail and pale brown eyes. He is PondClan’s secondary medicine cat after Ivorynight. A shy, socially awkward tom, but has a heart of gold and a keen eye for those struggling.

He’s often in the nursery, helping the queens or around the territory, gathering herbs. His apprentice is Silentpaw and he’s trying his best to teach her the ways of being a medicine cat.

Lynxleaf is approximately 18 moons old, and was originally given to Ivorynight so she could retire after Lynxleaf earned his medicine cat name. He’s a good healer, but is pretty bad at interpreting StarClan’s prophecies and visions.

Silentpaw

Silentpaw is PondClan’s newest medicine cat apprentice, after Lynxleaf noticed her having visions quite often. He decided to mentor her as a medicine cat apprentice. She’s currently 9 moons old, alongside her siblings, Featherpaw and Quietpaw.

Her visions are frequent and may have lasting effects beyond the falls if she doesn’t interpret and understand what they mean.

Silentpaw is a tortoiseshell she-cat tabby with white splotches on her chest, legs and muzzle and brilliant blue eyes. Her medicine cat name will be Silentsmoke.

Well, there you have it, a start of the cats in PondClan. Unfortunately, this will have to be a multipost due to Tumblr only allowing like 30 images. I'd rather do it based off their positions/ranks rather than the whole lot at once.

An odd group, PondClan cats are highly superstitious, dreamers, and are constantly trying to discern fate. Much of their lives are spent preparing for the next - while PrairieClan may claim to be the closest to StarClan, PondClan is much more in tune with their ancestors, always looking for signs and omens from beyond. This Clan receives the most prophecies.

In PondClan, all cats do the job of interpreting visions, normally reserved for medicine cats in the other Clans. Even the most sickly cat can be considered the greatest warrior of the Clan if they're good at seeing StarClan's signs. This Clan is highly superstitious, with beliefs that range from their territory being haunted by baleful ghosts of drowned prisoners of war, to a superstition where three is thought to be a sacred number - litters of three are even considered blessed by StarClan. The stars light these cats' pawsteps - even through the dark.

Pondclan Comic 1

Hi, this is my first little comic page for my clangen kitties. I was inspired to try this format after finding some clangen blogs here and also Dungon Meshi. Lots of Dungon Meshi XD For more context for the comic itself, here the leader Pondstar is asking the medicine cat to pick a successor before she passes. Unfortunately Puddlepond died before naming an apprentice, leaving the clan with no healer

A Storm Brews Once Again.

Clans of the Midwest is a Remade, Literate, 18+ Discord-based Warrior Cats Roleplay, set in a fictional area of the United States based around the Midwest. Originally established in 2021, we are beginning anew, with open high rank and normal positions. We offer a unique experience with four original Clans, a simple dice/stat system, the ability to use Tupperbox if you wish, the ability to choose your own Clan or have it chosen for you, and chances for your characters to be directly featured in plot points, prophecies and more. Tensions are growing between the four Clans of this land - PrairieClan, swift runners living in the open fields, are at odds with BarnClan, the newest Clan, inhabiting a Twoleg farm. Likewise, RidgeClan, the fate-defying cats of the forest and river, are feuding with the vision-seeking dreamers of PondClan. i'm gonna get a drawing tablet sometime next month, and i want to create an alternate blog so i can make a clangen comic, just like Fallenclan (which i've absolutely FALLEN in love with lately :3) so what should i name it? if you have a better idea, please comment on this post with the name! i'll be using the crystal cave background btw!! X3
