A signing event… Oh god, he was SO excited. Felix absolutely couldn’t wait to get his CD signed. To begin with, it was a special edition CD, you had to line up for hours in order to get it… But getting it signed? Personally??? He was hyped.

The problem, of course, was that no one was to know he was a fan — let alone a super fan — of Marinette. It wasn’t likely anyone would make fun of him… but he was a pretty private person, and to be honest, the thought of anyone finding out filled him with dread. Ergo, a disguise was in order.

Sunglasses and a mask were probably enough, but he wore a hoodie too. These kinds of people were common enough at fan events — it wasn’t exactly uncommon to be a closet fan — but still, he was mildly anxious about the whole ordeal. Mostly, though, the nerves were about meeting with her.

And suddenly, it was his turn. Bashfully, he pushed his CD toward her.

“Do you mind signing this…?” Spoken rather quickly.

[  NIGHT-TIME  STROLLS  ]:    the receiver decides to walk the sender home from an event late one night. and it’s very late; so late that they might as well be the only people left in the world. it’s just them and the quiet night sky, and conversations of all kinds are easy to come by.

   Man, how fortunate is he to be able to walk her home, and no he's not just thinking that because he genuinely enjoys her company. Okay, well, maybe he is, because otherwise he wouldn't have been at the event in the first place if it wasn't for her. Cooped up in his work was something he did often, away from the noise of crowds and lots of people, even if Ruddiger chittered away at him.

   One hand tucked away in his pocket, there's a small box he fiddled with in it as they walked, trying to find a way to give it to her. His other hand however, lightly taps against hers before he nervously pulls it away and brings it up to rub the back of his neck, face flushed for many reasons. It feels embarrassing that he can't pull himself to say what he wants, awkwardly fumbling over himself as they talk. 

   Really, he should be better about this by now. 

" S-so uh .. Marinette-. "

   Clearing his throat for a moment, he can only feel his face grow redder with each passing moment.

" I'm really glad we're together. " There's a pause as he instantly begins to stumble over himself again. " L-like spending time! S-since you know, I've been really busy. B-but there's a reason! Really! I uh .. I was working a lot, because I wanted to give you something. "

   God he swears he sounds dumb, it's a wonder Marinette even likes being around him in the first place with how much of a disaster he feels like he is. Sparing himself from probably sounding like more of a disaster, he pulls the little black box out of his pocket and hands it over, inside is a little ladybug necklace. He knows it's not much, but the moment he saw it, he thought of her. So he had to get it for her of course, even if it took a little work.

" I think it suits you, you know, because you're like .. a lucky charm, or a ladybug because everywhere you go you make people happy, or even seem to lift their spirits somehow. That's something that people believe ladybugs can do I'm pretty sure. "

   Granted they're all just little strange beliefs, none that he'll knock however. He thinks they sort of bring their own little luck anyway, strange as those insects are. 

" I'd say small and cute is also fitting too. "

   There's a pause as he realizes what he's said, and brings up a hand to cover his face. He sure hopes she's not mad at him.

Katsuki didn't remember what the nightmare had been about, honestly, he'd just found himself bolting awake with some figure over him and had nearly panicked -- until said figure had spoken and he recognized it as his girlfriend's voice.

Wordlessly, he pulled her closer to press his face into her collarbone, inhaling her scent and the warmth that came with it and gradually calming down from whatever the hell that nightmare had been. Obviously it had been bad enough to send him into a panic attack, so he really wasn't sure he even wanted to know.

He could already feel himself calming down pretty quickly, Pigtails -- Marinette -- always seemed to have that effect on him, no matter the situation.

"...Didn't hurt you, did I?" he finally mumbled into her shirt.

▬▬▬ ☁      MK had just parked his scooter, now that the akuma alert was over. He'd been able to stay out of the way thankfully and of course Ladybug and Chat Noir had been able to save the day. He was just putting his helmet on the back of his bike when he felt a heavy weight slam against him, knocking the wind right out of him and making him lose his balance.

                              Thankfully he caught himself before completely falling to the ground, but he was definitely dazed. It took him a moment to realize that it was Marinette who had attached herself to him just now. He blushed, but brought his arms up to return her hug.

                              ❝ Oh, hey Marinette...! What's uh, what's up? Are you okay? ❞

Once again, Felix was out of the castle. A well-kept secret, that was known by a very select few: not even his family, generally, knew where he was; just that he was out of the castle for some reason. To be fair, he would go in disguise— a cloak, something to cover his face, and commoner’s clothes. Though he looked much more put together than most commoners, still, he had yet to rouse suspicion and it had been a while since he’d started doing this.

So, of course, it was an odd time to bump into someone he was familiar with from the castle grounds.

Would she recognize his voice? How he carried himself? He hoped not, he really hoped not. It was, after all, a secret— and he intended to keep it that way.

He pulled her out of sight, an impulse decision driven by nerves. He’d tell her. And make sure she’d never share— perhaps a threat or two would do the trick. Either way, it was clearly a mistake as soon as he’d done it.

“Err, my apologies.” was all that escaped his mouth.

Félix looks up from his book at Marinette, puzzled by the request.

She's in Adrien's little friend group (and pretty transparently crushing on him, not that Adrien has realized that; he seems to think the girl dislikes him because of how awkward she is), but he's kept distance from Nino and Alya. And Marinette.

Unlike Adrien, Félix had no desire to make friends at school; that's not why he wanted to come. For him, it's just a way to get out of the house and away from the micromanagement of his father for hours each day. It's a small taste of freedom.

Friends, he didn't feel was worth the risk. Letting people close is giving them the chance to hurt you. He felt that sting well enough for a lifetime when they were younger and Chloe proved herself untrustworthy, and when Allegra moved away and they never spoke again.

Adrien is enough for him.

Him and Ladybug.

But he doesn't want to seem rude, so he nods slightly at her request, sliding his bookmark in place before closing the book and sitting it aside.

"You're friends with Adrien," he says softly, carefully keeping his anxiety from his voice, "or at least friends with his friends."

He's surprised she even wants to join him for a bit. Félix hasn't exactly made himself approachable. He genuinely thought people assumed him to be like Chloe (a thought that disgusts him, but one he's willing to ignore if it gets people to leave him be), and given Marinette's particular conflict with Chloe, he'd have never expected her to talk to him.

   ONLY five? But there's a lot to say, a lot of things he loves about her honestly. Nervously wringing his wrists, he's not sure which ones to share. Guess he'll just have to say the first things that come to mind.

" Her smile could light up a room, for starters. She's kind, so much so that I think she makes just about anyone's day so much better the moment she's around. And she's always helping others. "

They'd been roommates for a little while now, they'd moved into an apartment together with separate bedrooms despite the fact they slept in the same bed every night anyway... not that either of them minded. Most of the time it was in his bed and he never took things further than Marinette wanted to.

Which wasn't always easy on his part.

This particular instance, Marinette had made some fucking amazing slightly spicy dark chocolates he'd actually really fucking liked to the point he'd ended up eating all of them in one sitting before he'd even realized it.

....Oops.

"...Actually didn't mean to, just.... couldn't fuckin' stop once I ate one." Which was about as close to an apology, verbally anyway, that she was going to get. Also as close to an admission they were actually pretty damn good as she was going to get too.

Blood trickled down from the injuries he endured. Most of them were obtained, while protecting his partner, but also from making a careless mistake. Hawkmoth, Shadow Moth, who even knew anymore was always working one step ahead of them. This was no exception. His saving grace was literally the light of his life. Ears twitched hearing her finishing up with the akuma. This was the only time he actually relaxed, letting his back lean fully against the wall while waiting for enough strength to return to him to finally get up. Just a few more minutes...

It's an unfortunately busy morning for Tim. This morning, he has classes that he personally attends so his body double has the day off. Last night he had a particularly exhausting patrol and then a mild bout of insomnia so he didn't even get to power nap before his morning alarm went off. So yes, he was in a coffee shop first thing this morning buying himself a coffee, he's allowed one in the mornings and he hadn't had one in the Belfry before leaving. There was someone behind him, looked to be about his age and equally as tired. Well... he's been trying to do more good as himself during the day, more small things that offer immediate relief of assistance.

Oh wait. He should probably at least ask. Not everyone appreciated it when it was assumed they needed or wanted help.

There were still a couple of people in front of him, he had time so he turned around to the girl behind him. Wow, she was short. Somehow shorter than him and Tim wasn't that tall either.

"Uh hi." Why does he always lose the ability to speak when he's talking to a pretty girl? "I was wondering, do you wanna put your coffee order in with mine? I can pay for it if you like."
