marcille and falin had some strange thing going on in the sense you couldn't quite tell if they were friends or lovers. turns out, it was a secret third thing that you had no idea involved you.

see, falin was a quiet girl. she didnt usually voice out her feelings and emotions. in fact, she preferred to keep things like that private, show her affections in quieter, simpler ways.

that was until she noticed marcille being strangely affectionate and close with you. only then did she start being a bit more around you especially.

and really that was the only time you started noticing. at first you thought your bonds as friends and colleagues were jst improving, finally getting the attention and appreciation from the other party members. marcille started offering to help you pack up your things or would offer to heal your minor wounds and stuff. but then falin started coming to sit next to you every meal time, she starts walking faster to be beside you, she even starts offering you some of her snacks.

it was nice, really it was. well, before things started getting a bit out of hand. it started as subtle glances at each other, ones you first thought to be some secret code between them. then it evolved to small things like racing to sit next to you or walk next to you. then it turned into quiet bickering. then it turned into out-right trying to one up each other. and by then you couldn't take it anymore, confused and worried all this was putting a strain on their friendship. that was until they both, in a fit of frustration, had admitted to you that they both liked you.

you realize the solution is simple and right in your face; why dont date both of them?

and so you do! thus begins the sweetly awkward first few steps into your polycule, one where falin seemed unfazed by the idea (in fact she seemed more than happy with the compromise) and where marcille would flush bright red and every small thing. it was adorable, both of the were.

among the three of you, marcille definitely was taking the longest to get used to things. the first few weeks were when her pride got in the way the most, either refusing to share falin with you or you with falin. it took a while for her to start being more open, for the lack of a better term. and it took you and falin a lot of very gently prying her off one another and spending time as a trio. though it hasn't stopped her from being envious every time she sees you and falin snuggled together near the campfire or sat next to each other at a pub, because the instant she sees you two, she pouts and slides herself between you two. she's a jealous girl, having two partners was NOT going to help lol.

falin's the opposite, as much as she was admittedly somewhat jealous before you all started dating. she's just happy she gets to be with her favorite people because she's literally living the dream life.

well, until her chimerafication and sudden it's just you and marcille. it was .. definitely something terribly difficult you two had to go through, but at least you were there for each other. and being for each other lead to the unspoken promise of being there for falin. while you two never really spoke too much about it (mainly because it'd upset marcille and leave her inconsolable for a few days), it was always in the back of your heads. there was always that part of you that felt incomplete because of it, and it was a part you were determined to get back.

marcille definitely got more clingy when the venture back down the dungeon for falin began, and all the more so when you had learned the fate of falin. she'd fuss way more about you, your health and your injuries. she was always ready to expend her mana just to heal you, even the tiniest of scratches. so you try not to get hurt, because it's something easier to do that to break marcille's heart even more. you have to be brave, for her and falin.

note: fun fact, this was left as a draft on my main for like over a year and i read over it and thought.... it would be better on here, but anyway, there's a lot of adult trio poly stuff, why not trouble trio? How It Starts

So, who are you? For them to actually even care about your existence, you would either have to be a part of the troupe or be someone they know way back from Meteor City, I highly doubt they would go heart eyes over some really stunning person they ran into on a mission or so, because looks aren't everything, right? A pretty girl, a handsome boy, or an attractive genderless person isn't gonna phase them in the slightest, unless you're powerful enough to woo them out their boots, other than that, the choices are; being apart of the troupe (which is the most likely case, since they have a chance of them all being with you more often) or you being a friend of theirs in meteor city and their feelings grew overtime.

Who would fall for your first? I'm honestly tied between Phinks and Shalnark, for Feitan it would take like 2 billion years for his crush to kick in since he isn't in tune with his more softer emotions (yet), Shalnark to me is.... odd... he seems like the type to fall for someone oh so easy but dude is like, the personified version of "don't judge a book by its cover," and the only thing Phinks got going for him is..... anger issues, so I'd go with Phinks on this one! of course when people (troupe members) ask him about his affections towards you, he denies them with the most obvious blush on his face, his infatuation isn't exactly that obvious but there are some hints like him wanting to be next to you more or even the two of you hanging out on your off days! next on the list: Shalnark, so how exactly would he fall for you? well, he'd probably get paired up with you more on missions and when he starts to hang out with you more he starts to feel himself grow fond of you more, and it slowly grows into a crush! kind of simple really. And finally after those 2 billion years are up, Feitan is up next! Everyone has this collective idea that if he realizes he has a crush on you, he'd do the opposite of his two counterparts; he'd want to avoid you so that the feelings won't grow stronger as he considers it a distraction, he may even contemplate on killing you, which is something I really hate to say since I feel like the idea is slightly far fetched for his character (i'm guilty of saying this myself but i considering the topic of that specific post i wanted to be dramatic) but I can see why people think this, killing you only goes if you aren't a member of the troupe but since you are, he'd have to deal with you, forcing himself to accept the fact as time goes by that he is in love with you, he's confused with his feelings when it comes to you, he isn't used to crushes, no one to him is that special for him to fall for, love is very sacred to him, it's something he and the others mentioned above haven't really experienced, and as it grows, he starts to form a soft spot for you as he gets to know you well, he starts to find parts of you that made him like you to begin with. (ik Feitan's is kinda longer than the others but I'm biased he's my fav).

How would they act around you? This was really hard to do for some reason but I already stated above that Phinks would hang out with you more and would be near you a lot, at first his affections towards you wouldn't be too different to how he acts towards others, for someone like him he's pretty good at hiding his infatuation, though over time he's starting to loose the "I have a crush on Y/N" allegations, the others would tease him a little for how he acts around you, he shows to have more sympathy and affection for you, like he's more handsy with you than everyone else, and is most definitely protective over you, he really is a girly girl, ain't he? Shalnark is a bit more happier when he's in your presence, he opens up with you way more than everyone else (when you two are alone ofc) and plays video games with you, he'll never give you a break and let you win though, he's just too good! (And competitive) May not be as protective as Phinks but he damn sure isn't gonna let you getting injured slide. Feitan once again is an interesting case, since he's come to terms with him being infatuated with you, the signs will be waaaay more subtle than Phinks', you would lowkey be left confused, like something tells you he likes you but you can't exactly prove he does, you're seen with him more often, he talks to you more, but in the beginning that's about it really, but overtime he gets more handsy with you like Phinks but not as much, he would most definitely tease you when he's in a good mood, giving you nicknames and such, and of course, very protective over you.

Confessing & Relationship

Finding out they all like you! When they start to see one of the other become more affectionate towards you, shit starts to get real, a scenario where Feitan sees you and Shalnark playing a newly released game, the both of you are so happy, laughing and all, and Feitan is hiding somewhere and just stares at the both of you, the worst scenarios are running through his mind, are they dating? do they like him? he wants to do something about it but can't because for one troupe members can't fight and two, he sees how happy you are, how can he ruin that? Another scenario is the old fashioned switcheroo where you and Feitan are getting a little too handsy with one another, he's got his hand on your thigh and your hand on his shoulder, Shalnark is now in Feitan's shoes, bad scenarios running through his brain thinking the two of you have a thing for each other, a part of him wants to step in but he can't. It's kind of subtle at first until everything starts to build up, they can see each other's jealousy seeping through, let's say Phinks was the one to save you from an attacker and Feitan wasn't quick enough, a glare is shot at Phinks' way as he sees the way he's holding you and reassuring you, and he catches it, he's confused, what the hell is going on? Another scenario where the troupe is having fun or whatnot and you and Shalnark are laughing about something a little too hard, he spots both Phinks and Feitan seething in jealousy, he's also confused! Until it all hits the three of them; they all like you!

Them finding out..... So, when they finally sit and conversate about the rising tensions between them to solve it, they come to the conclusion that you are the reason why, how will they go about this? They all have a goal in mind; a monogamous relationship with you, they are all trying their absolute hardest not to start anything between them, they were all on good terms until this very incident, they had no idea what to do about this, their own friends are crushing on the same person they want, and the tensions can only grow from here, and beyond this point things can go either north (good) or south (bad) really quickly. From here on out, they challenge themselves to impress you so that one of them finally gets you, an unspoken rule, until they realize that you like all three of them, and things grow extra confusing, they're happy because "yay they like me!" but also mad because "grrr they like him back!!" So everyone involved is kinda like.............. "omg??"

Poly? So, because everything came out, they all like you and you like all of them back, they're stuck here wondering how this will work, a polygamous relationship isn't even a thought to them because they just want to have you, and it may be one of your biggest fantasies, you eventually let it out that you want all of them at the same time and because of their confusion you would have to explain to them, they argue that it's not going to work well, since for one, they are all territorial when it comes to you, Feitan is most definitely the worst one since he's never exactly felt this feeling before and it's most likely his first crush and potential relationship, and since you're pretty special to him he doesn't want to lose you to someone else, in all honesty he'd probably kidnap you and hide you away from Phinks and Shalnark if you weren't apart of the troupe, so you can be his forever, yayyy, we love yanderes!!!! Phinks is in the middle, while yes he wants you to himself he doesn't want to admit that he would want to at least give it a chance, Shalnark is pretty chill, the idea of him having you to himself is nice also, but a polygamous relationship would probably solve all this conflict between them.

They Agree, so The Relationship Starts Here! So they decided that just for you, they would all agree to date you, of course at first this doesn't sit right with them since they want you to be with one of them, but they're also like... shit, I mean we all technically got what we wanted so we might as well make the best of it!

Small Miscellaneous Things

When they don't receive enough attention. Despite you all agreeing on a polygamous relationship, they all still get jealous whenever one is getting more attention than the other, when Phinks isn't receiving enough attention he gets more agitated, prone to more outbursts and will even straight up pull you away from the other, when Shalnark isn't receiving more attention, he would tap your shoulder or find ways to annoy you like hugging you or getting in your face, when Feitan isn't receiving more attention he finds ways to get yours by breaking something like a glass cup so that you can at least say a few words to him even if they aren't exactly the most kind, or staring at you for an ungodly amount of time to the point where you can physically feel his eyes on you, or like Phinks, will pull you away from the other so that you can be with him more.

🔞 What sex is like! Sex isn't too different from the usual, you can't really have group sex with them often since shit gets competitive real fast, they will go above and beyond to make you cum the hardest and scream the loudest, but when one or two of them so happens to be away, Feitan will make marks on your body to be territorial, so show the other two or to other people outside that he was the one who made that mark there, and it's even worse because he puts them in places that aren't exactly the easiest to cover, either it be a bite mark or a scar that spells out his initials. Shalnark will mark hickeys on your neck or will have photos of you having his cum dripping on your face or you laying beside him just completely slutted out and send them to the other two just for giggles, Phinks won't do anything outrageous (he can't you'll fucking die) but will have you wear his clothes afterwards to let the other two know when they get back who fucked them out ;).

Things start to get better! Overtime they start to realize that the petty fights over who gets to spend more time with you are meaningless, and that they all love you and you all love them, it takes them a while for them to come to these terms, but in the end, it gets better for the future, and everyone loves each other, movie nights aren't filled with who's chest you get to lay on anymore, sex isn't "who gets to make them cum harder" more, you don't feel as if you're some type of prized possession, you're now treated with actual respect and love and consideration, of course there's fights here and there like any other normal couple, but life is good.... for them anyway.

You were murdered! If they ever come into your house to find it ransacked, their first priority is to see if you're alright, they find your body laying in your room, devoid of all life, shit starts to get real, they never rest to look for the one who did this to you, since Shalnark has cameras hidden away around the house, it doesn't take long to find out who did it from hacking and such, and once they find them, it takes so much to not just rip their head to shreds and feed it to wild animals, Feitan wants to give them the worst of all of his tortures, and afterwards they die by their phinks blowing their head clean off their shoulders or shit maybe shalnark will do it.

Very interested in Hondo rn, bc he started out being abusive @ Quinn (?). What did his character used to be like, and how would u say they’ve changed?

Yea so Hondo, like Quinn, has really on maintained surface level similarities to their original concepts. Same look, same smugness & sass etc. but the original idea of his character that I made up when I was like 13 was a racist sexually abusive slave owner. Quinn was his slave, and Thatcher was his friend who was like “hey I don’t think it’s good to have slaves maybe?”

They were an abysmally dysfunctional and abusive trio who were like kind of friends and kind of not. Quinn could never fully be their peer cuz they were a slave obviously. Thatcher was of lower status than Hondo too, but admittedly not by much. Quinn was raised alongside Thatcher and Hondo but you know. As a “companion” for them. Wasn’t great.

Honestly the character that’s changed the least is Thatcher. Thatcher always had a kind of strong moral compass/emotional reaction to injustice, but was also afraid to rock the boat. Slavery was the norm in their high status households and Thatcher didn’t think it was right but also didn’t see how they alone could change it. Thatcher might’ve been feeding info to anti slavery groups tho cuz they felt it was all they could do, but for the most part they saw themselves as kind of a stagnant coward and covered it up with an upbeat & boisterous attitude.

Anyway Hondo and Quinn fucking hated each other. Ok it was mostly Quinn hating Hondo but it went both ways on occasion. Lots of gratuitous humiliation and abuse cuz I was 13.

Then I was like hm actually I don’t really want to write about slavery I don’t think I’d do a good job handling the topic. and totally uprooted the whole story. Hondo became rich a sexually abusive best friend in the dreaded three person friendship group.

And then stuff kind of just kept drifting over the years between little tweaks and lore adjustments until Clement popped up and ended up taking on the role of “high society serial sexual abuser” and Hondo became something else entirely.

Now Hondo is a normal, somewhat bitter guy in a poly relationship with a high priest and a dancer, who he’s been friends with his entire life. He’s a part of a persecuted minority religious group and is still snarky and sarcastic but like. He’s a fully different man. Modern Hondo would eviscerate his progenitor no questions asked.

He still does some fucked up things tho don’t worry :3 they’re just if a different nature

Okay so I am going to preface the general idea by saying c!Scott in this is possessed/influenced by the Watchers.

He is not doing this willingly.

The general idea: Scott is not good. He is being absolutely horrible to Jimmy, who doesn't fully believe that Scott is bad. After an argument with Scott, Jimmy runs and is found by the Red army/dogwarts alliance. It's then healing Jimmy while dealing with the dessert trio. Scott is also healing with Scar and Grian.

Rating: Teen or Mature. There will be some suggestive stuff (I just don't know how far I will put it, and nothing explicitly nsfw) also a lot of heavy topics, so it will probably be Mature.

Ships: Red army poly. That is the best way to explain it. And also Scott/Scar/Grian, Cleo/bdubs, and maybe tango/bdubs (haven't decided will update as I decide)

Other important things: The red king is like a minor deity of sorts. Ren and Red King(King or Rk) share the body and both take control all of the time.

Scott is not fully aware what's happening and is very scared of how he treats Jimmy. Like this man is terrified of hurting someone else. The au will also follow the desert trio too, but they're not the focus.

okay SO, Im probably in the minority here-- But I don't see the whole Trash Trio as a thing, at all. LOL In general I don't see this trio. I LOVE DM/Aphro, I also have a soft spot for DM/Shura and I also think Shura/Aphro could be cute. But pairing the three of them into one polyship? I feel like the three characters just aren't suited nor would work well, in a dynamic like that. (All purely my own interpretation obviously) I haven't found any polyship stuff done well either. Most of the time, it feels like people genuinely mistake Love triangle, polygamy or even threesomes with a poly relationship lol. In fact-- I feel like I'd enjoy this more, if this were like a love-triangle thing. Something momentary that later moves onto something else.

I have seen Noriyo's arts of the trio but, even that hasn't made me click with them.

Starts once again with being in the minority here LOL--

BUT generally speaking I'm ""careful"" in a way of speaking, when it comes to shipping Aiolos with the golds. Not just because when he died he STAYED as a 14 years old, he hasn't aged like the others. But also because, he is considerably older than the others (Take Athena's birth for reference. When that happened Aiolos was 14, DM & Shura 10, Aphrodite was 9 and all the others were around 7 years old). In general, I'm not a fan of aging up canon minor characters, unless the series has done or established it. This is purely a boundaries thing. Aiolos/Shura seems to stand in this odd grey area, that makes me a tad too uncomfortable for me to enjoy (Pre-Aiolos' execution: Im not comfortable shipping a 10 years old with a 14 years old. Post-series: I'm not shipping an Aiolios 14 y/o with a 23 y/o Shura).

And KOTZ's timeline/age bum fuckery doesn't fix this for me.

the short version is: rowan is in a relationship with graha and estinien!

the long version: rowan and graha are the main "relationship" and estinien spends a lot of time with them, but all three recognize he's not wanting to be "tied" down so they just enjoy the time they have with him

to be a bit more detailed...super minor 6.55 spoilers but nothing else spoilery below

rowan knows that estinien isn't really looking for a relationship, and honestly prefers the single label most of the time. they've kind of talked about it. estinien did kind of carry a torch for ysayle despite their age difference, and he's only just now beginning to unravel the knot that is his emotions regarding her. (this was something i wanted to touch on in the 5.1 chapter of my ot3 fic, but it slipped my mind while writing and so now i have to wiggle it back in)

estinien is also finally learning to let himself feel things properly, since he was forced to basically repress everything no just because he was in-universe catholic, but because his job as the azure dragoon kind of required it. anyway it's like he's in puberty all over again so he's having to relearn his own emotions and redraw relationship borders.

rowan knows this. they've talked about it, kind of at length and kind of not. so rowan just made it clear that he does honestly love estinien as much as he loves graha, and that if estinien wants, he'll have a loving home with them. so estinien can mostly feel okay coming and going as he pleases.

estinien does also love roan, and would have been content to be monogamous--he had to be convinced to share, basically. dragon brain took over and that meant the desire to "hoard" picked up because rowan's precious to him. but because he trusts rowan he decided to at least try, but it took some convincing/coaxing to widen the hoard from one person to two. (as a side note, estinien having left over dragon traits (mostly personality-wise, physically it's just scars from the eyes and the suggestion of scales at those scars) is very important to me)

graha also needed to be convinced, but he learned to not have concrete expectations when it came to rowan during/at the end of 5.0, and honestly now that he's got a second chance at the life he led before the crystal tower, he's up to try anything! he also just...likes estinien? he thinks estinien is so cool. so one he'd officially met the guy and kind of figured out how he worked (with help from rowan) he was like, "oh. okay. yeah, this could work!" even if it took time to figure out...logistics, for lack of a better phrase.

estinien and graha actually really enjoy one another's company, both with and without rowan? and rowan is very glad they do actually like one another to the point that they're perfectly content and could even be together on their own, because that was the thing he was most worried about regarding being poly. it's nice if he can't be with them because of what he gets roped into. they make it work, basically, whether it's only two or all three together.

they're also enthusiastic in any combination of the trio. like. not to be ns/fw but graha probably has a much higher sex drive than the two dragoons combined (mostly bc rowan is ace but sex-positive) so working it out so they're all content with their respective tolerances for intimacy and ns/fw stuff works out surprisingly well.

i think estinien, given the context of the end of 6.55 MSQ, is away from his catboys more often than not as of late. they were together a lot, and they visited him in radz-at-han, but probably around 6.5 he asked for some space. and he might have mentioned wanting to go west and rowan foes "oh yeah im goin to tural btw" and estinien's like "ok babe see you there" and graha waves them off or something. who knows.

Tangled AU

Hi, this is a mess.

Let's say that the Choi boys were the children from a neighboring kingdom but their parents were killed, and thusly, they were just taken in by Rika and V.

Rika and V soon discovered that the youngest twin was blessed with hair as white as snow, as white as the moon. Research into a lot of old fables and stories told them that Saeran was blessed by a rare flower that bloomed from a mystical force, and although it saved his life, people found out about the power and killed their parents for it.

V and Rika tried to keep the boys safe in the castle area but Rika became more and more consumed by the power of Saeran's abilities and stole him away in the night. She had always dabbled in magic but this was intense and true magic that could power her and gift her enough power to... control others and force them to be happy forever as well as alive to worship her out for a long time.

V tried to help her and show her that the world wasn't cruel and she didn't have to abuse magic like that, but she took Saeran when he was two or three and ran off. V was distraught but they could not find him or Rika.

They continue the search but the queen and the prince were... seemingly gone from sight. Saeyoung is the one that says that lanterns would be a smart idea to pull them back if they're out and lost. It's smart, and it shows that he just wants his brother back and safe. 

So, they do that for years on end until their eighteenth birthday comes around, and Ray finds a chance to see the floating lanterns in person thanks to the help of this mischievous but curious thief who only does it because she wants that crown back before the team that she's working with come after her for their prize.

To be fair, she was very nice after he did bonk her with a frying pan the way that he did. She just tries to get him to go home and turn around so she can escape but God, they wind up getting chased by some determined guards and ruffians along the way while this boy—

Is fawning over flowers and the scenery!

Taking him to meet ruffians didn’t help. Judas and Minji were far too cool for their own good. 

“Hey, stop doing that! Have you really never left that tower?” 

“...No, never, I can’t remember ever leaving my tower.” 

“Oh. Well, jeez, Rabbit.” 

“Why do you keep calling me that?”

“Your hair reminds me of a snow white rabbit.” 

Well, Ray did have company up there, and that’s with a little chameleon that he decidedly called Vanderwood. Weird name, but hey, Lila’s not going to judge the dude if he’s been sheltered all these years. Sassy little thing but at least Ray has had some company over the years. 

Not evening dragging this boy into a ruffian bar was enough to take him down and get him to stop chasing his dream. What’s Lila’s dream anyway? Well, she doesn’t like song and dance but she wants some money to finally live without struggling to get by after she ran away from her bad household. That’s all fine and dandy, but— 

Now, if only Lila hadn’t had the misfortune of enraging one angry stallion named Zen, they would be great. The two of them manage to escape peril after the uh white horse gives chase for quite some time, and they narrowly avoid the guards that he brought with him, al a Yoosung and Jaehee. Of course, that lands them trapped in the process. 

“This way!” 

“...Now, did you plan to trap us in a flooding cave?”

“I’m doing the best I can on the fly!” 

“...Uhuh.”

“Your little friend there is giving me a judgmental look.” 

“You think?” 

Which, of course, is a great time for them to remember that Ray has literal magic hair that glows and sustain life. Lila didn’t know how to feel about that but like, it is working and that’s something that she can’t deny. Like, wow, there really is a magic boy living in the woods with his mother for some fucking reason that she does not understand. It sounds fake, and she’s always been a realist but this is definitely real. 

Well, she can’t deny that he’s not stealing her heart the more that she’s around him, his smile is just... hard to ignore. His manners are great but he’s got that tendency to just be honest and sincere. Of course, Rika has been following after them and she catches Ray when he’s alone and warns him that this girl is just going to leave him high and dry. 

Ray can’t imagine that she would ever do that. 

Not even or some silly crown. 

“Mother knows best, Ray.” 

“She’s not like that.” 

“They’re all the same. I know, Ray. I’m a woman. I know how dangerous we can be.” 

“I won’t believe it.”

A promise is a promise, so, they do spend the day together getting ready for the lanterns. Ray finally gets to see and do so many things that he’s only thought about. And yes, he’s getting his hair done because he deserves to feel pretty and have flowers. And God, holy fuck, if Lila doesn’t feel her heart racing when this boy smiles and seems so happy. 

Yet. 

Something about this town... something about the colors... something is telling Ray that he should be paying more attention to his surroundings but at the same time, he’s having so much fun learning and taking in the sights that he doesn’t think about it too hard. Maybe it has something to do with what he heard about the lanterns being for a missing prince. 

Ray does get to see the lanterns up close, and it just feels right. His dream is really right in front of him and yet, his heart quickens when he sees Lila smiling at him, too. His mother wasn’t right. She wasn’t right for once in his life. Rika isn’t right. 

“You’re beautiful,” she says, quietly. 

“Huh?” Ray glances back at her, “Did you say something?”

“I said... it’s beautiful, your dream.” 

“...Yeah, it is.” 

They almost kiss. 

Almost. 

Lila just gets too nervous. 

Ray pulls away, unsure of what to do. 

The return to shore briefly and separate for only a moment. Yet, that moment is enough for the goons to get knocked out before they can attack Ray who can’t believe they’ve said that Lila just left him with the crown, but there’s a boat just leaving with a figure on it. Rika appears, and saves him, and as much as Ray is upset, he can’t deny what he saw.

Those ruffians, by the way, I’m firmly stating that it’s probably Echo Girl and one of the Glam Choi girls. Anyways, now that I’ve gotten that out of the way. Well, it earns him a trip back to his tower where he assumes that he will stay forever from now on. He takes a deep breath and thinks that this is it for him for the rest of his life. 

He trusted and it got him hurt. 

Until the moment comes that he realizes something. 

The clues.

The signs. 

Everything that he saw. 

He’s...

He’s the missing prince. 

Rika comes into the room and he confronts her about it. She stares at him for a long moment as he demands to know the truth. 

Fortunately for Lila, she may have been double-crossed but she’s got ruffian friends on her side, you know, like JUDAS AND MINJI, who break in and save the day at the same second, as well as Zen, you know, poor guy had a change of heart about the criminal. By the time that she makes it back to the tower in the knick of time, she found Ray tied up, and Rika knocked her down a firm strike of magic—

Oh, God, there’s blood. There’s so much blood in a matter of seconds and Lila just hits the ground. Ray manages to get rid of his gag, and he begs Rika just to let him save her life, and he won’t ever fight back. Rika considers it, and sighs, it is a bore for her, but she can’t have this boy fighting her anymore. It’s nothing so she’ll allow it. 

“I’m sorry.”

“No, Ray, I’m sorry. I wish that I had told you that... I found my dream. My real dream.” 

“...?”

“You. I decided that I wanted my dream to be you.”

“Lila, please.” 

Ray apologizes for thinking that Lila would willingly go out of her way to leave him and she apologizes for leaving him alone for even a moment. She does care about him and that’s why she has to do something. Ray leans in, and she just swoops in and cuts his hair with the shard of glass that she gripped so tightly with her hand that it cut into it. 

Rika screams as his hair reverts to the same color of red that belongs to his skin brother, and in her tirade, she manages to stumble out the window and plummet to the ground and her doom. 

Ray is left begging for Lila not to go, for her to not have done that at the cost of her life. He thinks that it’s all for naught. He may be free but the person that made him happy is gone. Well, maybe not, he thinks, as he cries and the room is illuminated in the color blue for the flower that powered and cursed his hair from the start. 

And suddenly, she’s awake again and she’s breathing. 

“Lila...” 

“Look at you, guess I can’t call you a rabbit anymore.”

Ray snorts, a stupid laugh leaving his lips at her poor attempt at trying to make the situation lighter at hand. 

And well, Ray is able to make his way back to the castle where he presents himself to the palace, people are shocked and let him go in right away without even questioning him. Ray doesn’t know what to think of that. At least, until they reach the throne room and he’s left staring into a mirror. No, not a mirror, he is looking at a twin. He is looking at his twin. 

They both burst into tears and hug each other, because their missing piece is now once again whole. V is just relieved to see that the boys are happy and safe once more.

Low key thinking of doing a fic based around combining H2O: Just Add Water and Mako Mermaids. It would start at S2 of H2O, feelings on Charlotte as a character seem to be mixed so depending I'd either make her a friend and scrap the fighting entirely, make her a better villain and get rid of the girls disliking her for no reason at first, or give her some sort of minor redemption, not necessarily being a friend but hostilities ceasing (according to posts I've seen, the main trio act horribly to her and she hadn't done anything wrong at that point, so that's what these ideas are mostly based around with her. I haven't seen it in so long I can't really remember. I'd definitely try and find somewhere to rewatch it so I could see for myself how I felt before deciding for sure.) I'm definitely scraping S3's obliteration of Zane's character development because it pissed me off, and either he and Rikki stay together because I'm a slut for enemies to lovers trope, possibly making it poly, or they're both gay and each other's beards once they realize for a bit. Idk yet on that. S3 time period is when I introduce the MM stuff, with the theory I saw awhile ago that the pod leaves around when the planet alignment thing happens, but they don't know for sure so it's like a couple years that they're gone, and they come back fairly soon after it's happened. Zack (I think is his name) turns into a merman so the Mako 3 come to pretend to be human, as in that show, but the H2O 3 are also kinda seen as a possible problem. The two groups start out weary of each other, but the H2O 3 start to help the Mako 3, seeing they're clearly struggling, and wind up being tentative friends. At some point Emma goes on that canon trip, and Bella comes in, which introduces the other 2 H2O girls (and Emma because calling and texting) to the concept of other moon pools, and other moon pools giving different powers. S3 of H2O and S1 of Mako basically happen at the same time, and dealing with the meteor proves to the natural mermaids that the H2O group is entirely deserving of their powers, and they find out that's what happened with the old Irish mermaid (Ava I think? Idk for sure that's also the name of a character of mine so I could be confused) and that all natural mermaids are just the descendants of girls like the H2O group. Then it focuses more on the Mako storyline, with the H2O group there and helping and learning more powers mermaids have, eventually along with Evie, and Nixie for sure and I think Layla (sp?) get to stay around when Mimmi and Ondine (idk either of their spellings tbh) show up because I love them both and while I may let characters rotate "out" to a more minor role so I don't have too many to keep track of I'm still gonna keep more around, and not have them be barely/not mentioned again. Anyway I don't remember the plot to Mako as well so I'll have to brush up on it but I've got plenty of ideas, it's just whether they'll ever see the light of day lol

A guide to help get people to properly tag their fics.

So we’re going to go through each of the tag sections in importance. Just as a note remember when it comes to the Archive Warnings “No Archive Warnings Apply” means there is no need for a warning. “Choose Not To Use Archive Warnings” means that whatever would be in the archive warnings is a spoiler in the fanfiction and thus cannot be revealed at time of writing. So anyways, let’s go through this. 

Note: All examples are Kingdom Hearts because that’s my blogs primary fandom so if I’m gonna end up in some tag might as well be that one. This does not exclusively apply to that fandom.

Fandom:

The fandom section is used to navigate what fandoms are shown. This is for all fandoms in which the fanfiction progresses or uses the characters of or story of in some significant way. For example:

You’re writing a fanfiction for Kingdom Hearts. This fanfiction takes place in the Harry Potter universe, and details Sora’s journeys as he interacts with the Golden Trio at Hogwarts. You would tag this both “Harry Potter” and “Kingdom Hearts” in the fandom category. As both Harry Potter and KH characters are used.

You’re writing a story in which Sora, Riku, and Kairi are Pokemon trainers in Kanto collecting the eight gym badges to become a Pokemon Master. While they may never meet any significant Pokemon characters, you would still tag this “Kingdom Hearts” and “Pokemon” as the fandoms. However you would also tag it as “Pokemon AU” in the additional tags section, so it can easily be filtered out while browsing. This is okay to tag as the fandom because of the fact that the story is still wholly reliant on the Pokemon universe.

You should not use the fandom section for concepts that are merely taken from that universe. For example:

You’re writing a fanfiction where Sora, Riku, and Kairi are students attending Hogwarts. There is no reference of any major Harry Potter character (even professors have been replaced by Disney and FF characters) and the main antagonist is unconnected to the main universe. You would tag this as only “Kingdom Hearts” in the fandom category. In order to allow people who are uninterested in Harry Potter universe to filter it out, you would tag it as “Hogwarts AU” in the additional tags section.

You’re writing a fanfiction where Sora, Riku, and Kairi are still in their universe. Everything is the same except they have daemons from the His Dark Materials series travelling with them. You would tag this as “Kingdom Hearts” in the fandom category. In order to have it filtered out and identify the concept, you would write “daemon AU” in the additional tags section.

The general rule of thumb would be if the reference to the second series is minimal, don’t tag it.

Also please stop making giant drabble compilations with twenty million fandoms. Nobody likes these. Make them a series and publish individually or simply publish all your drabbles for one fandom in one story and another in another story.

Relationships:

First off, slashes denote romance, ampersand denotes friendship or familial bonds. Do not use both when depicting a tag. Yes, all romances should be founded on friendship, but people looking for a friendship fic do not want romance. If somebody’s looking for a fic where Sora and Kairi are friends, they shouldn’t have to wade through SoKai to find it. SoKai fics should be tagged “Sora/Kairi”. Friendship fics should be tagged “Sora & Kairi.” Then we all win.

So now, let’s go over what, when you’re writing a pairing, should be tagged as pairing and what should be tagged in additional tags to give people a heads up.

Tagged in Pairing:

The main pairing(s).

I think this was obvious but if you’re writing SoKai, Sora/Kairi should be in the tags. If you’re writing SoRiku, Sora/Riku should be in the tags. Common sense.

Important Side Pairings

You’re writing a SoKai fanfiction and SoKai are the primary couple, but occasionally you deviate and write some RokuNami. They’re not a main couple but they’re very obviously there. Roxas/Namine should be in the tags.

Tagged in Additional Tags.

Past pairings

This one is a personal pet peeve. If the relationship is no longer happening in a majority or all of the fic, do not list it in the main tags. If Axel and Saix broke up years ago and now Xemnas is dating Saix and he occasionally references that he dated Axel, it’s not AkuSai. Don’t put it in the main tags. Putting it in the additional tags gives enough warning.

Mentions

If the ship gets five or less lines in the fic, put it in the additional tags. If Sora and Kairi are the focus and you mention that Roxas and Xion are on a date, tagging it as Roxas/Xion in the main pairings just clogs the feed.

Parts of an OT3

You’re writing a SoRiKai fic. Tag it exclusively Sora/Riku/Kairi. SoRiku, RiKai, and SoKai shippers who don’t include the third member of the trio should not be constantly seeing the OT3 flood their tag. (Esp RiKai they’re rarepair hell.)

Likewise, if the characters are in the poly relationship, but the primary focus is almost exclusively on a particular side, only tag the side that’s in focus, not the whole ship or ignored side. (A SoRiKai fic focusing on SoRiku should only tag Sora/Riku in the main parts, with SoRiKai, RiKai, and SoKai being in the additional tags.)

The ship is bashed/parody fics in which the ship is viewed as negative.

Due to the nature of one-sided and nonendgame ships, these are a bit harder to place. In general, if it’s super important (i.e. Sora spends over 50% of the fic in a relationship with Kairi before ending up with Riku, and there are several chapters that portray it as healthy) I would begrudgingly say to still put it in shipping tags as something like that may not be to taste of SoRiku shippers either, but I would make it clear that SoRiku is endgame in the tags, and I’m still not a fan of this. It’s just understandable why you would.

Yes this includes in a ship like capacity. You can write a SoKai fic where Sora only mentions Kairi and not mention Kairi.

Closing Remarks:

Nobody is perfect in regards to this stuff. I myself have done one or two of these in the past in my fanfictions, but the important part is to decrease the amount of these that happen, so that others can get the maximum enjoyment and ease while browsing their archive, and filtering out certain categories and even ships becomes significantly easier.

Just remember, posting in the wrong category may in the short run increase readership, but in the long run just piss off all the people reading those fics hoping for something they love, and just getting nothing in its place.

Super Shallurklance

"Is everyone in my apartment building a superhero?” More like Lance is the normal guy who usually ends up taking care of his neighbors after they go out to fight crime and befriends them all, but has a pining crush on three of his neighbors bc fuck he's too poly and bi to function- Anyways, Pidge has plant powers and hacking skills, Hunk is basically an earth bender, Keith is a fucking dragon, Shiro can fly and use super strength, Allura is Wonder Woman but has cats, and Coran is the landlord of the building. There are Major powers and Minor powers. Those with Major powers are usually in the Hero or Villain business. Those with Minor powers are generally sidekicks or civilians. Lance and Coran have Minor powers. Lance can pull water from the air or from anywhere within ten feet. It's not very strong but it helps to clean wounds. Coran has the ability to bend metals. Enjoy ;3

"Is everyone in my apartment building a superhero?” Lance groaned, eying the pretty new girl moving in. "No, not everyone. You aren't. I think she's the Hero Altea though. The hair certainly matches." Lance's above floor neighbor, Pidge, yawned from her spot leaning against the railing next to him. "As in the city female favorite, Altea? Great. Let me guess, you guys are gonna show her the best place to patch up after a fight?" Lance asked defeatedly, narrowing cold blue eyes at the grinning superhero girl. "You know it, Lance! I'm not taking chances! Also, do you have any more tea? I'm out of green leaf and I know you have an extra stock somewhere." Pidge poked him in the side. Lance sighed. "Yeah yeah, I bought a new box yesterday. Come on, I'll make you a cup." Hours later, an explosion rocked the city and sure enough, as Lance calmly drank his hot cocoa in front of the TV, the news coverage showed the Voltron team plus Altea herself fighting against a massive metal monster. The Voltron team, aka Lance's neighbors in the Lion Apartments. Black, a powerful hero with indestructibility and the gift of flight, his powers mostly originating in his prosthetic arm. Olkari, a small hero with the ability to manipulate plants to her will, no matter the size. She could also hack anything, which was what she was currently doing to the monster's mainframe. Balmeran, the bulky hero with extreme strength. He was known for using the ground and environment to his advantage. Red, the original partner of Black's and gifted with extreme, nearly uncontrollable power. His flames could melt anything, as well as change him into a dragon if he felt like it. And Altea, a woman with super strength, speed, and energy manipulation. Usually sending it out in the form of lightning or beams, usually white or pink, sometimes blue. The creature went down after a short while, and the camera followed the heroes launching away in different directions. But Lance knew where they would all end up eventually.

He came back from a quick trip to the supermarket and groaned when he found the lock picked and half open from a cute little vine, seemingly innocent. "Pidge! What have I told you about breaking into my house through the front door?! The balcony sliding door is always unlocked you know!" The irritated Cuban called as he entered his home, noting the dirty tracks on the carpet. "And Hunk! I trusted you to keep Keith in line during that fight, and now half the city is rubble! Keith, did you even shower properly before you came here?! Hi Shiro, Miss Altea. Pidge! Get out of the tea cabinet! I just gave you a box yesterday!" Lance set his bags on the coffee table in front of both Shiro and the startled Altea before marching over to yank Pidge away from his tea storage, a small whip of water putting out a small fire left on Keith's head. Lance ushered everyone to a seat on the various couches in the main room. "Okay, who's first? I got extra gauze this time, and special disinfectant for rust bacteria." Lance pulled water from a nearby cup and wrapped it around a particularly nasty burn on Shiro's arm, the hero Altea looking on in fascination as the water slowly started massaging impurities from the blood and skin. "So, miss Altea, I'm Lance. I usually patch these guys up after a fight, so I'm guessing they decided to bring you around too?" Said male asked the white haired heroine, raising an eyebrow and using another small water whip to clean up the blood on her cheek. "Ah, well, Olkari insisted, since you are very trustworthy and she mentioned you keep a wide variety of tea?" Altea admitted, Pidge piping up from her seat trying to wrangle Keith into using an ice pack. "Call me Pidge! We all live in the same building anyways, and Lance here knows us all on first name basis so we might as well use it ourselves!" The tiny plant hero chirped triumphantly as she managed to headlock Keith and press the ice against the nasty bruise on his back.

"I'm Keith, Shiro's boyfriend and partner in heroism." The man wheezed from where his friend was currently crushing his back as she 'tended' to him. Shiro waved with his prosthetic arm. "I'm Shiro, nice to be working with you, Miss Altea." Hunk came back from the kitchen, stirring what looked to be a bowl full of chocolate chip cookie dough. "Sorry Lance, I borrowed some stuff for cookies. Also, hi, I'm Hunk and I'm usually the one to feed these people because somehow none of them know how to cook." The bulky man leveled a glare at his three teammates, each glancing away with a sheepish smile or a nervous chuckle. "I kind of know how to cook!" Keith replied defensively, pouting. "Keith, charred lumps of god knows what does not equal cooking." Lance deadpanned, finishing his task of bandaging Altea's arm. The heroine snorted out a half giggle half wheeze, and Lance had to mentally stomp on the growing attraction in his heart. He already had two impossible crushes, he didn't need a third... "Well, my name is Allura. It is nice to meet all of you!" She introduced herself, and the others all grinned back. "Well now that all the introductions are out of the way, who wants tea? I also have hot chocolate and coffee." Lance asked, standing up and moving towards the kitchen. He was sweating from the effort of holding up five separate threads of water. The ones that were currently cooling and healing the burn wounds on the 5 heroes. Shiro wanted black coffee, Pidge wanted green tea with extra sugar, Hunk wanted a specific amount of sugar and cream in his coffee, Keith demanded chamomile tea, and Allura politely requested juniberry petal tea. He didn't notice Keith intently watching him serve their drinks, didn't see Allura narrow her eyes when Lance swayed slightly, didn't realize he was collapsing until Shiro practically vaulted over the couch to catch him on his way back to the kitchen.

He did, however, notice the worried voices whispering near him as he slowly woke up to someone stroking his hair. It felt nice, nothing like the stress his job had been putting him through lately or the strain of using his Power too much recently. He sighed and rolled over to fall back asleep, the stroking in his hair never faltering. Meanwhile, Allura frowned as she watched Red, Keith, pet Lance's hair as he kept vigil over the man on the couch. "It's strange, normally he doesn't collapse like that. I always tell him to rest after he uses his Power and take a break now and then, but today must have been a bad day to ask for help." Shiro murmured, gazing at Lance in concerned fondness. "For someone who exercises his Power so much, I wouldn't think something so small as purifying wounds on five people would cause him to collapse. Perhaps he has been working too hard lately?" Allura asked, placing a comforting hand on Shiro's shoulder. "He isn't home as much, actually. I've seen him come home real late at night and leave at really early hours." Keith piped up, quiet so as not to wake Lance up. Shiro sighed. "He has a communication problem, which is surprising for someone who's so talkative."

Allura giggled lightly. "I find it quite endearing. You were right to bring me here and convince me to move into this building. I believe Lance will prove to become a large part of our lives. I just hope he accepts us when the time comes." She moved over to crouch next to Keith, her fingers joining the Fire Hero's tangling through Lance's soft, silky hair. Keith hummed lightly and tipped his head onto Allura's shoulder. Shiro folded his arms over his chest and smiled as his girlfriend and boyfriend watched hopefully over the object of their affections. After all, it was a secret that Black, Red and Altea were not friends, but instead a trio of polyamorous lovers. Not even Pidge or Hunk knew that Shiro and Keith knew Allura a lot more intimately than they'd acted like today. One day, Shiro hoped, Lance would make it a group of four. He wished for that day to come soon.
