I drew both the Show Lloyd and Kai (upper), and Movie Lloyd and Kai (lower) in Mario and Luigi poses I found online, because why not. They beat some video game icons right there.

Still, the battle may be done, but the war is not over. As we speak Kai and Lloyd are facing off against Phineas and Ferb. Better vote here before it’s too late.

Woke up a hater today so shout-out to those three for failing beautifully at their goal:

-Jim Starlin for trying to portray Jason as a bad kid and portraying a good kid with sensible issues considering his past trauma, who cares about victims and doesn't accept rapists getting away scot-free on technicalities

-Chip Zdarsky for trying to convince us Jason was always the one (and only one) in the wrong and feeding us a classist narrative and portraying Jason "accepting responsibility for his death" as a show of maturity, and instead portraying an accurate rendition of an abusive family dynamics

-Chuck Dixon for somehow, despite hating women and not wanting Dinah and Barbara's relationship to be interpreted in a romantic way, writing fun and intense super homoerotic Dinahbabs and feeding my lesbian ass

They really were right that minus times minus equals plus: the least favourite character of your least favourite writer can sometimes become your favourite character (if only that had worked for Morrison and Daniel too...) And Dixon's is just the funny, why are you writing blatant homoerotic stuff then getting mad it's pointed out lol (also shout-out for the artist of the infamous Dinahbabs panel, they truly understood the assignment.)

Okay, I couldn’t resist. Lloyd and Kai beat Harley and Ivy in the last poll, making them the victors of the Red and Green Duo tournament, so I could draw them in some of the ladies’ outfits that at least have pants.

I did the movie/later seasons version this time since I did early show version for the Phineas and Ferb victory. Mostly because This Lloyd has better hair for being Ivy. Kai looks way too eager to use that hammer.

Those polls "could xyz character survive the Reaper's Game" have people tend to forget that the main reason why anyone would survive the Game isn't because they are smart or talented, because they would be able to solve puzzles or defeat noise, but because... they are able to change.

Shibuya's Reaper Game isn't like any Reaper's Game. They take an entry fee, being what one's value most, and that loss forces people through a difficult situation they can only solve by growing as a person. Shiki would've been erased had she not been able to accept herself as she was. Beat would've been erased had he not been able to accept to ask for help so he could protect what mattered to him. Neku would've been erased had he not been able to learn to expand his world and trust his partners.

Of course, people changing (for the better) means their Soul gets more refined and thus their Imagination level rises, but having high levels of Imagination from the start isn't all it takes for someone to win the Reaper's Game! So yeah to me, the only question you might need to answer when replying to these polls is : "Would this character be able to have character growth?" Most often yes. But sometimes... you might be surprised.
