Happy Friday everyone!

Yesterday's episode of "all Polin's first times we didn't see " was about Colin being sick, so what happens when it's Pen being the one that needs to be taken care of?

Colin knows that Pen can curse. She also have used a couple of particularly creative ones either when they are in bed or in other occasions, but it's only when she is sick that he discovers the full range of curses she learned over the years and he is... Quite impressed. Even if mostly of those curses are against him for making her sick. He will kill anybody who might tell Pen this, but he finds that very cute. Like a small cat trying to hiss and stratch at tiger. Deadly but cute.

Also she hates being sick.

More like, she hates that her body betrayed her like that. She feels the loss of control and she has never dealt with that particularly well.

Yet, Colin knows she wants to be taken care of, so instead of assuming he knows better, he just asked her "what do you need?"

And, like a miracle, Pen deflated.

"At the moment, you," she answers and that's all Colin needed to hear.

He cuddles her for a while, then noticing she is almost asleep, he goes to stand but she is blocking him.

"You'll be here when I wake up?"

"Yes, my love. With your favorite soup, a couple of diaries to read and a human shape blanket."

She smiles and let him go.

As promised, when she wakes up, he is on the bed, a tray on the dresser with her soup and a couple of diaries.

"How do you feel, Pen?"

"Like someone used me to print the issues I write," she says honestly and he just hugs her.

"Eat something, then I'll read and maybe sing something for you?"

She would never turn down such an offer.

Later, when Colin is again cuddling her, he is giving light kisses onto her skin.

"What do you say, Love?"

She looks at him and nods, and he goes to explore her.

Normally, she is warm in her core. That night, it's like way hotter than usual.

Colin is very gentle, knowing she doesn't feel the best.

He uses the lightest of touch, but it seems like it's enough. She seems so receptive, moving with him and his fingers inside her.

It's an image he never gets tired of: her finding her pleasure knowing he is the one giving it to her.

Even when she is sick.

She looks at him, "don't ever think of going for a second round, I don't have the energy!" And he smiles, kissing her deeply.

"Rest my love, tomorrow you'll be better"

As he lays out next to her, hugging her to his chest, he can't help to think that he loves this woman beyond measure and reason. He kisses the top of her head, while she is already sleeping, using his chest as a pillow. He smiles as he drifts off to sleep too.

Pen being the luckiest woman on planet earth for having a man who looks at her LIKE THAT. All teary-eyed, exuding nothing but love and worship for his wife. I'm jealous.

(if only somebody would explain to me, logically, why the fuck they didn't get to kiss after this? Who messed this up? Tom Verica? Also, I'm salty.)

Violet Bridgerton spent the first two seasons telling her children who was good for them, dragging them, reluctantly, to balls and events and parties. And she saw that her normal methods were clearly not working and it would only result in a very long process of her children not listening to her, going after someone else, doing the complete opposite of what they should, causing a scandal and then finally going after the very same person who, she had told is right for them.

I love that she evolved her methods and reached the conclusion that the only way to make her children listen to her is by gaslighting them.

So instead of telling Colin, "You know, I think Penelope Featherington is right for you". She told him, "Oh you're helping your friend get a husband? That's wonderful darling." "Oh you don't want to come to the ball? That's completely fine. It's just a shame that you won't get to see Penelope Featherington get proposed tonight, after all the hard work you did to help her. But what can you do if you're not feeling well, right?"

There are several things I would very much like to see in season 4 of Bridgerton, but one thing I simply must see, and it doesn't involve script so it could be added in any scene involving food and the family;

Is Colin taking a piece of food from his own plate and giving it to Penelope as his siblings have silent breakdowns in the background over it. It doesn't require any words spoken. We will know what it means.

Fashionable late but I was delayed by my own unlocking of the next stage. If you think a cold is bad, a cold with chronic sinusitis is way worse. But... This is literally the highlight of my day, so I could not miss it...

Today's episode of "All Polin's first times we didn't see" is about the first time they try 🐕

Pen reads about it in one of Colin's diary. It's from Colin perspective, but being her husband the sweetheart he is, he does mention in the diary that he asked the woman he was with if it was good for her too. She said that it varies but most women found it pleasurable, with someone who knows what they are doing.

Perhaps she should be jealous of the past lovers in Colin's life, but in her heart, she can't. First of all, they are not that many, truth to be told. He seems the loyal type, even when it comes to sex worker. Second and most important, they are not threats for their relationship. She is secure in her feelings for Colin and it's the same for him as well. Lastly, she kinda want to thank them for all the knowledge she is gaining into this aspect of their life.

Like this one lucky discover. She talks about it with Colin in the evening and he just laugh when she explain what she wants to try. "I should have realize that you'd use those diaries as research and exercises... Not that I'm complaining, wife." As he envelopes her in his embrace for a long and passionate kiss.

"Can I add something to your request, Pen?" And before she can answer he goes "Can we also use the mirror?"

She moans at that, imagine how them together in that position.

They start slow, their passion increasing in waves as they explore each other. Colin loves to stimulate her with at least his fingers and often with his mouth, and today is not an exception. "I want you open and relaxed for the next step, " he says as he makes her come loudly.

His favorite meal of the day, he calls it, and it definitely shows.

When she is ready, he helps her get into position. She sees herself, her face red and relaxed, her eyes trusting. Her curls all over the place, her breasts almost touching the mattress - Colin gives a good squeeze to both and looks at her in the mirror, "you're a vision, Penelope" and then he hets behind her, in between her legs. "Stop me of you don't like it," he makes sure to tell her and she nods. "Look at yourself in the mirror," and he starts to push.

She sees her mouth drop open and she can't resist closing her eyes for a moment, but then she reopens them, she wants to see. He is all inside her now, hands on her hips as he is giving both of them a moment. They look at each other through the mirror and Colin starts to thrust.

It seems much deeper than other positions they tried before and it's soooo good.

It's a bit of a blur after that, Colin speeding up and losing control. They are both moaning messes, Colin's eyes fixating on her face and her bosom, oscillating with the movements, adding another layer of stimulation for her. She sees his hand sneaking up on her body, towards her core and when he touches her pearl she comes with a shout, Colin right behind her. She collapse on the bed, her arms shaky and Colin is hugging her from behind, caressing her all over.

"Remind me to send flowers to all the brothels you've been, she says still breathless, and they laugh together at that.

"For what?" Colin find himself asking.

"But for all the wonderful ideas, Colin," she answers as if it's perfectly reasonable, and they start laughing again.

Penelope not being the jealous type is so funny to me for some reason. She spent so long thinking that Colin would never love her back, and then he chased down her carriage screaming “PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!,” and from then on, she’s never once jealous about him with other women in the past. She’s like, “… Yeah, I’m pretty sure I’m it for this guy, idk what to tell you.”
