Day 31 Redemption

And here we are at the end of another happy Volotober! This was a really fun one and I've loved seeing all the pieces made this year by everyone <3

It bugs me how Larry's all "I use normal types because they're plain and boring like me" because buddy. Normal types don't screw around.

Norman's gym battle was terrifying for me, even though my strongest Pokémon was a Blaziken-- aka, I had a type advantage, but my entire team was nearly taken out. I still fear Ilima's Smeargle because that was one of the only battles I ever lost in S/M/US/UM (though I still fear Totem Lurantis more). I see so much trauma from Whitney's Miltank. And Larry himself has defeated my little siblings multiple times, while I definitely struggled against him.

Being a Normal Type Pokemon means access to generally well-rounded stats and incredibly diverse movesets. Like, a water type can learn water type moves, but Furret can learn Surf, Flamethrower, Thunderbolt, Ice Beam, and Shadow Ball. I wouldn't call that very plain or boring.

Not to mention that god is a normal type.

Normal Types and Normal Type users are plain frightening.

Every time I see this, I keep thinking how cool it would have been if the anime had an arc where all the Johto Gym Leaders teamed up

For the entertainment of particular associates, I took Skyla Elesa and Bugsy Whitney to create a pairing combination. They're still gym leaders and girlfriends, with Bugsa as a treasure hunter and Skyney as a farmhand, with mixed teams.
