I choose you ash is probably one of my best and worst ones to draw. her hair is so pretty, but so HARD TO DRAW

ya girl now has a full time job that’s been taking up a lot of time :0 my hyper focus of Pokémon and twst dwindled during this time as I found my long hours was making me more tired and generally upset (seeing as I now work an average of about 8-12 hours every day)

but after some yapping with my coworkers, one of which is also into Pokémon like me, the Pokémon fixation is back in business! tomorrow is another day off for me, so I hope to crank out a few chapters of The Very Best as an apology for being absent here, as I have a few chapters pre-written they just need to be fixed up a bit

I was pretty much a sobbing wreck the entire time I watched Pokemon I Choose You: The Movie that first time, partially because I never thought that I'd actually be able to see a Pokemon movie in theaters, but one of the parts that hit me hardest was the dream Marshadow gave Ash where he lived in a world without Pokemon, and Ash was talking to Verity and Sorrel about wondering what was beyond the horizon, and wanting to go on a journey to see it with his own eyes.

Because it made me realize that while I started playing Pokemon because of the whole "collecting and training a myriad of fantastical creatures" aspect, what really gets me excited when picking up a new game is getting to see all the new places and the new Pokemon. Sure, it's usually one or two routes, maybe a cave or forest, until the next town, but it's always felt fresh and new each time. It was fun stumbling on the Altar of the Sunne in Alola and immediately fleeing because of the intimidating music, and seeing Pokemon I'd never seen before running around in Galar, and standing on a cliff in Paldea and seeing the grass below swaying in the wind. Even returning to old regions felt fresh, seeing familiar places in a new style and seeing what changed. I don't much like traveling in real life - too many things such as worrying about if we'll have a place to stay for the night, being stuck in traffic for hours, sharing a hotel room with someone who snores loudly - but Pokemon scratches my itch to explore and travel without having to deal with the downsides.

And just like Jordan, this move set is all or nothing. Both Flare Blitz and Double-Edge have so much recoil damage, but Jordan is okay with being Poisoned or Paralyzed by Andy or Trent to boost the damage/recoil further.

And while he could open Helping Hand or WOW for a recovery move, how would he help Virgil?

Why? Andy is a nasty little bugger who will wear you down slowly over time. A defensive type but is capable of dealing big damage if you let him.

Imagine: Toxapex Andy with the Merciless ability and the move pool consisting of Baneful Bunker, Venoshock, Hydro Pump, and Recover.

I remember using a Toxapex like that in Pokemon Showdown. Always ends in a win or a rage quit by the other player lmao

Galacta chuckles. "You give me too much credit." Okay, well, perhaps not too much, seeing as Galacta does have a bit of... unique experience with the planet's history. "My kingdom did not worship the Titans, and I never ended up near them for any extended period of time."

The doctor's disappointed expression was clear even behind the tinted glasses. "Is that so?"

"Sadly." Galacta shrugs. "Though there were stories of many of the Titans, and I did encounter briefly a couple that I don't see written down here."

Rusty perks up, but is stopped by Galacta shaking his head.

"I don't remember the patterns. Truthfully, I barely remember what they look like..."

"And we both know you are no artist." Rusty mutters.

"I was a warrior, not an artist." Galacta retorts. "Even if I were, it would not be enough to give any accurate idea. I'm sorry."

Rusty huffs, taking the book and snapping it closed. "It's quite alright. We will come across them eventually."

There was a comment Galacta wanted to make towards that, but his thought is interrupted by a loud yawn.

"You sure sleep a lot for an ancient warrior." Doc comments, a bit upset that the one person who could regularly keep his interest piqued was not as keen on pulling an all nighter as he was.

"I've gotten used to these modern comforts. Like a nice bed. Which I would like to go and enjoy..."

Just played the demo and it's sooo god! 😍 Replayed it several times already.

I've tried every type of playthrough for each wayhaven book. Like, literally every single one... for each stat, personality, type of relationship with each RO, who your BFF is....etc...

I'm just obsessed with how even small things changes the dialogue, I can't help it, it's like Pokemon, I gotta catch them all 🤣

And I already know i'll replay this one the most 😍 and it has absolutely nothing to do with the hot Villain, or the MC getting awesome super powers. Or the angst. Or the mental image of a MC going full on "Unlimited Power!" On the next Murphy, or Anwir, or Bobby, definitely not Bobby. Nope.

So I just have to ask (Even though i'm guessing we're going into spoiler territory) how is the Villain as a RO? Right now i'm getting the feeling that they (mostly) wants MC for this "power" they keep mentioning, but is there another reason?

Also just for fun, like in the other RO asks, where does the Villain land in the rankings? For most clingy, emotional, affectionate, etc. Then, of course the most important one, Jealousy. I know we can't really pursue the Villain if we're already romancing someone, but how do they feel about the "competition"? Are they not worried/bothered at all, or should we prepare to go full on supernatural prepper mode and look for underground bunkers for our RO? 😳

If it's the latter i'm guessing my MC is going to check if Sin is willing to side hustle as our RO's bodyguard...

Oh, interesting questions for Li-Sar, hehe! :D

As I've said multiple times—and will keep saying, lol!—the villain is very much a villain. They're not like Falk or Sin where things get a bit morally one way or other kind of thing.

Li-Sar is a power-hungry villain.

But, saying that, if you choose to do the romance route fully, then they will love the MC. They will fall as deep as the vampires do.

BUT this is still a villain romance. Li-Sar is not a good person, lol!

The way it will play is like the vampires in that it is a love that is a soul-mate kind of thing, your MC feels for Li-Sar and can't help it (though there will be lots and lots of times to be able to pull out before fully committing to the romance, but once you're in it, you're in it—and I will put a warning in game about when it will be locked in).

As a romance option Li-Sar is intense, tempting, and overwhelming, but also surprisingly gentle and…needful.

As for when you can't romance Li-Sar (if you're already on a vampire romance route), Li-Sar doesn't do well with competition, and will make that very plainly clear!

Hey, sorry if you've answered this before at some point, but recent asks made me curious on your take. In the last few episodes with Ash, Delia mentioned that his father was supposed to show up, but canceled at the last minute because he was busy. Do you think that they do sometimes contact each other about Ash, or that he only contacted her when he heard about Ash's accomplishments? Was she angry he canceled, and do you think she and Ash decided to put him out of their minds after that?

You're thinking of the special episode Distant Blue Sky! I feel like most people, myself included, consider it an AU (same universe as the I Choose You movie). You can tell by the different hat!

People consider it as such because in I Choose You, he starts his journey almost the same except he never meets Misty or Brock and instead meets/travels with Verity and Sorrel. Then in the subsequent movies, Everyone's Story and Secrets of the Jungle, the hat implies those are in the same universe.

It's also considered an AU because he DOES get his iconic hat with the league "L" but rather than starting off with it, his dad leaves it for him. He also mentions his father in Secrets of the Jungle which leads me to believe his dad was around in this version! So in this timeline, yeah! I think Delia maybe keeps in contact with him but it does seem like their interactions are very limited

But I subscribe more to the Pokemon novel and anime timeline where Ash's dad leaves prior to Ash even being born and not coming back since
