Cubone was originally supposed to be the the child of Kangaskhan.

The evidence is that the skull of Cubone looks like the head of a Kangaskhan. 

Cubone's signature move is called "bonemerang", a mix between bone and boomerang. Boomerangs are a stereotypical Australian thing, and Khangaskans could be based on kangaroos, stereotypical Australian animals. 

The final piece of evidence is that there is a glitched pokemon in red and blue (kind of like missingno), if you manage to level this pokemon up there's a chance it can evolve into a Kangaskhan. This could imply that Kangaskhan was supposed to have a pre-evolution

Chosen’s first powers

Read @/ a-tale-of-legends post about Red and now I'm thinking about how some of the chosens dealt with their new powers. 

 Like Red just wakes up one morning and is floating 3 inches above his bed. Blue touches a machine in the Lab and the buildings whole power dies (can work for both Melmetal & Zapdos lol) Green gets charged at by a Tarous and throws her hand up and it either goes flying cause telekinesis or it just stops right infront of her and passes out.

Green and Blue would have to tie Red toa rock so he doesn’t fly off lmao.  Green and Blue on ground floor freaking out like "wtf is happening" and Red in the sky belly up just -_-

Ethan can just. Breathe under water and once he finds this out he brings Sliver to some pool of water (beach/a litteraly pool) and then promptly scared the shit out of him when Ethen doesn't come up for several minutes

Kris she touches mud and it turns to pure water. Or she touches water and it turns to ice. Lyra (and possibly Lucas?) accidentally go 10-15 minutes forward or backwards in time. Silver not sure what to do with other than its always like. humid? when he’s around?? not sure.

Barry starts running one place and ends up on the other side of the region (Palkia) you bet he hits a wall like. 6 time out of 10.

if running with the timeline that DPPT happens when they trio is 12, PLA happens 3 years after. so could possibly Dawn’s awakening.

Uh- May already touched lava on her first battle with Groudon so afterwards she just straight up goes swimming in a low lava pool. She comes out perfectly fine just a lil slimy (like she got a second skin on?? Idk how to properly describe it)

And Brenden could probably hear the ocean from anywhere magic conch shell mf

Wally is probably the first to clearly communicate with Rayquaza (prolly also with help from Zienna. I know that's not how to spell her name-)

Also with these three being the first chosens of the modern era they are simultaneously freaking out, but also "this is so cool / this might as well happen" cause this is the 90's. And either Brendan or Wally starts documenting everything they go through.

When news pops up in Johto about Team rockets return, maybe that's when they go visit and see if there are any others like them (As you can tell, none of this is concrete yet)

I feel like Sabrina would totally be into voidpunk. I mean, I already headcanon her as aroace and agender (and maybe some flavor of neurodivergent? the childhood prodigy cliche is literally right there waiting to be turned into character development---). I think that alongside her psychic powers and her status as a gym leader, it sets her apart from everyone else just enough to be a bit isolating. Maybe people don't see her as "nonhuman" exactly, but she's definitely viewed as "other." Powerful enough to be respected, but off-putting enough to keep at an arm's distance. Finding the voidpunk community would let her know she's not alone in these in her isolation and I can definitely see her embracing the culture wholeheartedly. Like "Yes, I'm otherworldly and unerving. I'm also extremely powerful and could wipe out your entire pokemon team with ease. What of it?"

What if in Anabel's home dimension the special and physical moves behave differently? There's this mega and no mega timeline theory, which I'm not a fan, but what if there's a physical/special split dimension and one with the older functionality?

I mean the Mega and Non-mega Timeline isn't really a theory. It's kind of canon.

Zinnia's dialogue from ORAS:

"From generation to generation, we pass along the lore about the distortions in the world borne by the Mega Evolution mechanism. And about the existence of another world, which we have long observed to be just like this one and yet not the same... That's right. A Hoenn region that's almost exactly like this one we live in. Filled with Pokémon and people like us. A world where maybe the evolution of Pokémon took a slightly different path, where Mega Evolution is unknown... A world where that war 3,000 years ago...never happened. A world where the ultimate weapon was never even built."

Anabel's theme inside of the Battle Tree is the Emerald original soundfont. Anabel comes from Emerald, a game that is very very very different from ORAS. Sea Mauville doesn't exist, Sootopolis is a city built inside of a volcano and not a meteor crater, and doesn't even have a tree planted by AZ himself. It's very very clear that Emerald and ORAS are explicitly coexisting as alternate timelines, not replacing each other but parallel. This is why we have Emerald Archie and Maxie in USUM instead of ORAS.

The Physical/Special split can just be gameplay, but Mega-Evolution is not a theory.

And before anyone says it, no, Anabel's original Emerald world is not destroyed. Emerald and ORAS are just two very different Hoenn regions that exist in a world without AZ's weapon and with AZ's weapon, the thing that caused Mega-Evolution in the first place.
