LEGO Red Dead Redemption is a game we need:
You might see a similar post from @phantom-of-the-501st because we were talking about this together!
Also spoilers for the RDR games.
Base Game Concept: We've all played a LEGO game and we know that they frequently make games for other franchises such as Star Wars. LEGO RDR follows the entire storyline from prequel of the second game all the way to the end of the first game. If the game is too big with all that then we remove the first game because RDR2 adapts much better (sorry).
The World: LEGO games have used a large scale open world before so we can assume the exact same for RDR. The LEGO Hobbit game I'm pretty sure used a massive scale map which admittedly you mostly fast travel around but you could walk around a lot too. Another good example is LEGO City Undercover, a very detailed world to explore.
Tumblr media
(side note I only just realised the "i" in "CiTY" is the only letter that isn't capitalised)
Obviously including all of the side missions from Red Dead Redemption and Red Dead Redemption 2 would likely be too much for the game include so as an alternative, we reduce them down to character unlocks and small Easter eggs/tasks. Another good example of this is how it's done in LEGO Jurassic World where you can occasionally find sick dinosaurs and you have to search around the area to find what they need.
Tumblr media
Now imagine this but with a random character from RDR/RDR2 like Albert Mason. You meet him, the coyote steals his bag and runs away, leaves it in a place that's difficult to reach. Now it's your job to work out how to get it back, perhaps using a lasso or hitting some targets or the good old LEGO building a small object to reach it.
Tumblr media
Completing these small side missions can unlock the character for you or give you a red brick/collectibles perhaps (more on those later). Missions that can't be adapted very well can simply be turned into character purchases. Imagine wandering the bayou and finding that cabin with the poem about Jimmy Brooks, then you turn around and the good old Strange Man is stood in the corner ready for you to purchase him.
Unlockable characters also gives you easy opportunities for an Easter egg like Red Harlow.
The Story: The story is possible to adapt to a LEGO game form although obviously it has some significant difficulties we'll cover later. As stated above, RDR2 is our priority to include so the game of course starts with Colter, the whole gang is there in their beautiful LEGO form. Just like the original game, Colter is entirely used to teach the player the basic mechanics of the game. Here's an example of a few starting missions.
Outlaws From The West teaches you basic combat and you finish by unlocking Sadie as a character.
Enter, Pursued By A Memory teaches you how to do parkour and unlocks John (that or John isn't unlocked until the epilogue).
Eastward Bound where Arthur broke the goddamn wheel? Sounds like a great time to do some building, hitting targets and doing some parkour to go get the wheel and the rest of the stuff that fell off the wagon!
Tumblr media
You get the point, the story is adapted into LEGO form making use of all the same stuff you've seen in LEGO games before. Some missions could probably be removed or several missions can be combined into a singular level. There's one massive problem you may have realised about this though...
LEGO is a very kid friendly company and well, Red Dead Redemption certainly is not...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
How can we fix that?
Adapting Red Dead Redemption To Be Kid Friendly: Well obviously we have the simple steps of just... not including the murder dungeons? Head explosions via sudden increases in kinetic energy applied through double barrel shotguns wouldn't be a concern anyway since LEGO people literally explode into their individual pieces upon death anyway.
Tumblr media
But then we have the big concern about the choice language in RDR.
Fixing Red Dead Redemption's Language To Fit LEGO: We all know where this is going right? An aspect of LEGO games that we all know and loved yet sadly hasn't been seen in ages. The non-verbal noises. We can probably steal a few sounds from the original games. Arthur has plenty of "argh"s when he gets shot that would fit perfectly with LEGO's style. But I think we also should still bring in the voice actors to make some noises for it.
In the event that we do keep a few voice lines, I personally recommend "LENNYYYY!".
But what about how this impacts the story? How will Dutch explain all his amazing plans? How will the Pinkertons threaten the gang? So much of the game relies on verbal communication to progress the story!
How To Replace The Talking: Our first issue is Dutch explaining all his plans. If he can't speak up then how could he get his points across about making a lot of money and leaving to Tahiti?
Simple! If you're not at camp, Dutch does an overly animated pause as he thinks before suddenly and excitedly reaching into his pocket and pulling out a hastily drawn diagram on a piece of paper illustrating exactly what to do.
Tumblr media
If you're at camp then there's plenty of options available, my personal favourite being he wheels in a whiteboard and draws on it with his coloured pens whilst the gang all sits there on the floor with their legs crossed looking up at their great glorious leader.
Tumblr media
It's the exact same for whenever the Pinkertons come to demand Dutch from the gang. They walk up and pull out a wanted poster of Dutch and angrily growl at the gang.
Also just to make sure Micah is still unlikeable despite not being able to insult anyone, we may just have to make him a bit of a bully. Stealing food, kicking and shoving people out his way, forcing others to do work for him etc.
Speaking of Dutch and his ability to manifest a whiteboard out of nowhere, it's about time we finally discuss characters.
Character And Their Abilities: LEGO games are known for their characters having different abilities and I think it's best we make the entire gang as playable characters of course. Maybe not all available at the start but they certainly are needed eventually. Here's the main ideas for the gang so far and their abilities. A lot of them are still yet to be worked out.
Dutch - Investigative (able to find details others can't that then reveal objects or their locations) Hosea - Disguises Arthur - ? John - ? Javier - ? Bill - Strong (able to break objects other's can't) Micah - Dynamite (can place it and thrown as a projectile) Charles - Tracker (able to see footsteps and follow trails) Sean - Pyromaniac (throws fire bottles like which cause splash damage on impact unlike dynamite which has a fuse) Lenny - Double jump/more agile? Sadie - ? Karen - Disguises/Distractions (able to lure NPCs away from places) Tilly - Double jump/more agile? Mary-Beth - Pickpocket? Uncle - ? but he has to throw out his back after any strenuous activity. Abigail - ? Susan - ? Pearson - ? Strauss - ? Trelawny - Disguises Swanson - ? Kieran - ? Molly - ? Jack (young) - Small and can go through crawlspaces.
Most if not all of them will also have some sort of ranged weapon depending on what they mostly use in game. Arthur likely with a revolver, Charles with a bow, Susan with a shotgun etc.
Some characters may also act slightly differently, a good example being brutes like Tommy in the Valentine saloon who is harder to fight and requires you to fight differently, like the stronger opponents seen in LEGO City Undercover.
Another important thing is collectibles.
Collectibles: Red bricks are obvious. They're in every LEGO game and there's always the obvious ones like stud multipliers. But we can also include ridiculous ones like: All horses become cars, Lawmen and Pinkertons have little police lights on their head, All guns become water pistols, Dynamite explodes in confetti, All guns fire explosives.
We could also consider other collectibles like special hats or weapons.
The final point I have to cover here is character deaths.
Character Deaths (obvious spoilers): The story has to reach some character deaths eventually... it's inevitable. But LEGO likely isn't going to be very comfortable with good ol' Sean Maguire getting the worst surprise party ever.
Tumblr media
How do we fix this?
SLAPSTICK COMEDY!
We can't keep them around because the story doesn't make sense so we have to remove them in LEGO friendly ways. Here are my suggestions!
Jake Adler - Technically already dead but to avoid showing a corpse in the wagon we just go with a classic skeleton.
Tumblr media
Sean - As you walk through the streets sudden swinging log booby trap flies down and absolutely punts Sean into orbit, never to be seen again before a the gunfight rolls out.
Tumblr media
Kieran - Instead of being killed and rode into camp, a cutscene is shown where Kieran is on guard around the camp, caught by O'Driscolls and quickly tied up and thrown into a dingy which floats away before the O'Driscolls send a fake scarecrow copy of Kieran into camp which confuses the whole gang before the ambush attack.
Hosea - Instead of the scene that broke everyone's heart, Hosea boots Milton right in his little brick balls and jumps down a drain into the sewers.
Tumblr media
Lenny - Whilst running across the rooftops Lenny is caught in a snare trap which quickly loops around his foot and lifts him away with party balloons.
Molly - Miss Grimshaw during the middle of Molly's rant pops Molly's head of just like a LEGO minifigure would be and boots it off into the woods causing Molly's headless body to go chasing after it. That or another idea which I think I prefer is Dutch and Molly have a dramatic argument in the middle of camp, once again someone gets kicked in the balls before Molly storms off, never to return.
Leviticus Cornwall - Whacked around the head with a frying pan by Dutch or Micah causing him to fall overboard from his boat and he is chased away by a shark.
Cold O'Driscoll - It may be best to change the story a bit here and instead of making sure Colm is hanged, you make to make sure he gets arrested by either leading them to the cops or leading the cops to them.
Eagle Flies - Instead of being shot he is whacked round the head with a frying pan and knocked out, almost arrested before Arthur saves him and you return him to the Wapiti tribe albeit a little dazed.
Agent Milton - Arthur, Abigail and Sadie beat him up, tie him up then shove him inside a barrel and stick it on a passing ship.
Miss Grimshaw - Tricked by Micah somehow (maybe by him pointing behind her making her turn away from him) before somehow she is dragged away perhaps by Micah typing her to a horse or something.
Arthur Morgan - Rather than Arthur dying, he helps John to escape (more on this later).
Micah - I'd love to kill this man but LEGO probably wouldn't allow that. I'm not sure how you work around that. Maybe you freeze him in a bit of ice and turn him in to the lawmen but honestly I don't know.
I don't know Red Dead Redemption 1 as a game well enough to discuss the character deaths in it as I have never played it through (sorry but I cannot ride a horse in that game) however with the death of John and Uncle, instead of being killed by the Pinkertons, in exchange for john's help capturing the gang, John, Uncle, Jack and Abigail are all rewarded with an all expenses paid trip to Tahiti. The final thing to note in all of this is what we see in the credits of the game and the thing I said I'd elaborate on with Arthur.
The Credits: Just like the original Red Dead Redemption games, the credits feature cutscenes showing the aftermath and current events happening once the gang falls apart. The cutscenes go like this:
Remember how Sean got launched into oblivion back in Rhodes? Well the first shot we see is of a nice sandy beach and who comes falling out the sky? The good ol' Irish legend himself! He's made it to wonderful Tahiti.
A little after Sean has set up his nice camp on the shores of Tahiti, who comes rocking up in a little boat still tied up by the O'Driscolls? That's right, it's Kieran.
Y'know it really is strange but did you know that the sewers of Saint Denis seem to connect up with the plumbing networks of Tahiti? It's honestly quite nice because it means Hosea was actually able to wander through them and eventually find himself with the others on the nice sandy shores.
Lenny! Whilst he's flying over the ocean looking pretty bored and annoyed that he got to miss out on all the fun back at that bank robbery, he suddenly notices Hosea, Sean, and Kieran all looking up at him from the beach and manages to untie himself from the rope of the balloons, dropping himself down to them where they all hug and reunite.
Turns out after Molly's breakup with Dutch she really just needed to get away from it all and clear her head. Good thing that she was able to afford a one way ticket to Tahiti!
Miss Grimshaw ends up their somehow I don't know.
Arthur. My sweet old boy. After helping John escape the gang and the Pinkertons he finds himself at a port, waiting for a boat. His brother John says one final goodbye to him and waves from the pier as Arthur pulls out a ticket from his back pocket and puts on his sunglasses and Hawaiian flower shirt and boards the ferry of too the wonderful Tahiti where he spends his days lounging around in a deckchair next to his horse (also in a deckchair), sipping his drink from a coconut through a straw with a little parasol in it as Hosea and Lenny come to sit by his side. Obviously because he's warm and relaxed his Tuberculosis heals too and he's cured. Amazing!
Tumblr media
This concludes my 2395 word explanation of why we need a LEGO Red Dead Redemption game and the amazing ways it could be adapted. Come on, Rockstar, you're already a games development studio just get that partnership and work with Traveller's Tales and their experience to make this a thing!

Undead Nightmare 2 pitch:Vampire Hunter Arthur Morgan or Vampire Arthur
Nothing will ever piss me off over the fact we never got Undead Nightmare 2 when they had so much fucking material to work with.
But ONE THING I think would've worked was centering Undead Nightmare 2 around Vampires.
Vampire Hunter route.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Imagine this. The Vampire of Saint Denis is not just a easter egg, but the big bad of this DLC story. If you ever saw the movie Nosferatu, you will know that when Count Orlock came to the village, he brought the plague to the town.
So this is how the story could go. Arthur, John and Dutch arrive in Saint Denis to look for Jack and what they find is hell on Earth. Every building is quarantined and warning everyone of the plague. Zombies and Vampires run the streets of Saint Denis and eventually the whole country. They eventually see there is only one building that is full of life. Bronte's. They get Jack out, but there is a problem. Bronte was bitten and you know what happens to those who don't tell about being bit. Bronte turns, attacks his men and Arthur, Dutch, John and Jack flee.
Shady Belle is in ruins. The monsters attacked and there are barely survivors. Only Abigail, Sadie, Charles, Bill and Micah survived. The rest have to be put down.
Throughout the game we are tasked with learning just what the hell is going on. The dead walk the Earth and it's up to the survivors of the Van der Linde gang to put an end to this Undead Nightmare.
Arthur becomes a Wild Western Van Helsing. A wide variety of ammunition in fighting the undead. Silver Bullets, holy Water, Stakes, phosphorus bullets and more to fight the Vampires, Zombies, Werewolves, Witches, Ghosts and even Aliens. Final fight is against the head Vampire of Saint Denis and after Arthur kills the Vampire, the Undead Nightmare will be over....or will it? After the deed is done, Micah is there with yellow eyes and bearing his fur and fangs showing he's become a Werewolf and Arthur with his revolver full of silver bullets drawn, Micah lunging for Arthur and Arthur prepared to shoot, leaving Arthur and Micah's fates ambiguous.
Vampire Route.
Tumblr media
The Saint Denis Vampire would've been the perfect launching point for Undead Nightmare 2, especially if it's during chapter 6. Because back in the day people thought that TB made you a vampire (Vampire Panic of the 1800's) so it fits perfectly with the narrative as we have it.
Imagine Arthur just learned of his condition with Tuberculosis. He's dying and he hears all the voices during his journey and what he's done. But instead of seeing the Buck/Coyote, he instead hears a voice calling to him in the dark alleys of Saint Denis and guiding Arthur to the writings and as he reads the final writing, the sun goes out and Arthur is met face to face with the vampire. Offering him a way out of his slow agonizing death. Arthur refuses, but the vampire doesn't give him a choice. Arthur shoots him but he doesn't die and you get close and he bites you and the story is Arthur trying to not become a vampire instead of dying from TB.
If you play it High Honor, Arthur can resist his vampiric bloodlust and stay true to who he is. Arthur can stave his lust for human blood by feeding off on animals. Arthur's TB is gone and he has the choice. Kill the Vampire and be rid of the curse or continue to live and use his powers for the good of the gang?
If you play it Low Honor, Arthur becomes a foul creature of the night. Feeding and draining people around him, even members of the gang if he so chooses. He remembers the stories of the power of the Vampire. So he decides to put that to a test. Go back to Blackwater for the money and carve a bloody path for the money. He brings the money back to the gang, but with him, he unwittingly creates an army of the undead that threatens to consume the world. Can Arthur and the gang survive this Undead Nightmare and find their paradise or will Arthur's bloodlust destroy everything?

What Moves The Dead
T. Kingfisher
RATING: 🕯🕯🕯🕯🔥 (4.5/5)
As a life-long horror fan, I hate to disappoint when I say I have never read The Fall of the House of Usher by Edgar Allen Poe. As such, when the last name 'Usher' was first mentioned in this book, I drew the parallel as a little joke to myself, seeing as I hadn't read the original to get the little Easter eggs dropped by the author. Despite this, What Moves The Dead is an excellent standalone story of its own right, providing dread and horror at every turn despite its short length.
Summary: When Alex Easton, a retired soldier, receives word that their childhood friend Madeline Usher is dying, they race to the ancestral home of the Ushers in the remote countryside of Ruravia.
What they find there is a nightmare of fungal growths and possessed wildlife, surrounding a dark, pulsing lake. Madeline sleepwalks and speaks in strange voices at night, and her brother Roderick is consumed with a mysterious malady of the nerves.
Aided by a redoubtable British mycologist and a baffled American doctor, Alex must unravel the secret of the House of Usher before it consumes them all.
MY DETAILED REVIEW (SPOILER WARNING):
What Moves The Dead is an excellent and quick read, ending at a mere 200-something pages. Despite this, the pacing never feels rushed - in fact, at some points, it seems to drag on a bit. This is no fault of its own, though! I think it seemed to drag on to me because I did not have the prior experience of the original Poe story, therefore none of what was happening was familiar.
I was also unaware when I started that it was the beginning of a series!
Everything that occurs in the book happens for a very interesting reason. There is no thread of the Usher Manor that is left unraveled by the time you are done, and the end result is a masterfully woven tapestry of absolute fungal horror.
It occured to me, during the scene of Madeline walking strangely through the hall the first night, that she was walking like a hare. I had thought, initially, that she and the hares and her brother had all been infected with the mold of the manor. The upkeep was poor and the lake was terribly kept, so I assumed that they were all sickly because of it.
I was both so, so right and so, so terribly wrong.
Having read this book with no prior knowledge, the reveal that Madeline had been taken over by mycelium, that she was secreting hyphae, and had been dead for at least a month was incredible. The payoff was amazing, and the realization I had, which Easton did not, was I believe this implies that Maddy had died before Easton's arrival. Which meant all of kan's interactions with kan's beloved friend were in fact mycelium.
Also, it was a rather pleasant surprise that Easton was a sworn soldier of a different form, so to speak. Everybody in the story respects kan's pronouns with ease, often referring to ka as 'sir' if not by these soldier-specific pronouns. Maddy referring to the mycelium as 'va', as a child, was an equally refreshing yet terrifying ordeal.
The worldbuilding of the novel is amazing, the pacing is great, and overall I am glad I went in so blindy. I do, however, now want to read The Fall of the House of Usher.
And I can say with complete confidence I will be reading the rest of Easton's adventures. I've already borrowed book #2, What Feasts At Night!

THE NUN (2018)
Tumblr media
I wanted so badly to like this movie because the titular lady herself is very spooky, but the thing is, the film is flimsy from start to finish. Jump scares and some interesting acting/script choices await you in this beautiful if not creepy castle (and boy if this movie doesn’t drag). Please don’t ask me how this is connected to ANNABELLE  or THE CONJURING because it barely is. I really like Taissa Farmiga but this is not her strongest role.
⭐⭐
(Trigger Warning Suicide, Nuns)
Tumblr media
The year is 1952 and we are in Romania (in which no vampires remain, thank you, King Luan). Our main characters are a hot priest (it’s always a hot priest), a hot nun (it’s always a hot nun), and a hot Frenchman (okay, that one was a surprise). They go to the castle to investigate a nuns suicide but things are really sketchy (like the blood that never dries). Upon further investigation the Abbey is wack as hell (or wack to hell) and there is a big boss mama nun walking around who doesn’t belong but is our main lady, our big baddie. This demon is very powerful, is able to kill a bunch of nuns but I guess not get their souls? I don’t fully get it.
Tumblr media
The whole movie is just our three main characters dodging the main evil nun and whatever other apparitions she sends their way. At one point the priest is teleported into a sealed grave and needs to ring the plague bell to get out. The sister (the good nun) is trying to find which grave he is in but all the other bells on all the other graves started to ring… Wack. She eventually finds him and digs him out but still, wack. And I guess the sister daydreams that there are other sisters in the Abbey because all of them have been dead for a long time.
Tumblr media
Frenchie uses a shotgun to take down a demon. Okay. Forget about the priest then, I guess, just, “Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition.” I snorted when I saw The Finger™. Seriously, they have a beacon shining off of the statue of Mary’s pointing finger and it is the most obvious thing I have ever seen in my life and the actors are all, “Woah, maybe this could be it?” Shenanigans out the wazoo. I couldn’t stop laughing at this reveal.
Tumblr media
Can we just take a moment to appreciate that the relic of Jesus Christ's blood is in a cross shaped vial? Like, who came up with that? Who decided back in 1AD to make the first Jesus Christ Brand Cross merch? This is so silly I can hardly stand it! Remember in Indiana Jones when we find out the Holy Grail isn’t some beautiful chalice? And that makes sense because Jesus wasn’t a wealthy man, he didn’t do greed (no sins, ya dig?) but so many would fail the test because they assumed the Holy Grail would be the most stunning of all the glasses… But The Blood Of Christ is in the fanciest Easter Egg I have ever seen, boy, I’ll tell you. And then they have to use ALL of it to stop this critter? When before the knights sealed the thing away with a drop? They wasted all of the Jesus blood? What are we going to do during The Nun II? Wack.

Evil Dead Rise (2023)
"A reunion between two estranged sisters gets cut short by the rise of flesh-possessing demons, thrusting them into a primal battle for survival as they face the most nightmarish version of family imaginable."
This is a film that shows you the depths of terror that only a mother can give you. Written, and directed, by Lee Cronin this is a really solid addition to a franchise that began 42 years ago with the Bruce Campbell led, low budget masterpiece, that was The Evil Dead.
The franchise has evolved a lot from the beginning, giving us five movies, as well as a TV show. The original trilogy, and the Ash V The Evil Dead, gave us a campy horror filled world of deadites and gore. They knew what they were and never took themselves too seriously, and they are widely loved for exactly what they are.
The 2013 re-imagining, and this new film, take all of the horror of the originals and ratchet it up to 11. What the new films don't have is that camp edge that can help to alleviate some of the terror. That's not to say I don't like them....far from it. I really enjoyed the 2013 movie and this film immensely. They are just very, very different beasts from the originals, from whence they sprang.
The film starts at a lake with a pretty gorey, wince inducing, hair moment, and then cycles back to "one day earlier". It's at this point we meet the family from the trailers, and see the main location for the film. It's here where the fun begins. It starts slowly, while we are introduced to the family and the returning sister. Then shit goes downhill, and not slowly. One thing I will give these new films over the old is the quality of the effects. Things have improved dramatically in that sense, and this film takes full advantage of that, and does it really well.
The film itself looks to have been made well. The lighting, sets, and effects were all great, and my only minor niggle with the cinematography is that in some scene there seemed to be an odd disconnect with the focus. It was in a couple of scenes with the Book of the Dead and some of the characters. They seemed to be in crisp focus, but the book seems a little fuzzy. I don't know if it was a deliberate choice or a simple camera issue. It was just a noticeable thing for me. Other than that I really loved the way the film was done, and Lee Cronin as director did a bang up job.
This was a small scale ensemble piece focusing on a family, played by Alyssa Sutherland, Lily Sullivan, Morgan Davies, Gabrielle Echols and Nell Fisher. The quality of performances varies, but none of them are bad. Nell as Kassie, the youngest of the group, is pretty good for someone so young. Morgan Davies, as Danny, is the one that finds the Book, and the way he deals with his part in the nightmare is solidly done. Gabrielle, as Bridget, is probably middle of the pack performance wise. She's really good. Lily, as Beth, is an actress with a really solid catalogue behind her already, and this is a great addition to that for her.
For me though, the absolute star of this film is Alyssa Sutherland as Ellie. She is a mother on the verge of life falling apart as she faces the prospect of being homeless with three kids, as their building is due to be demolished. Then her life REALLY falls apart. No spoilers here as the trailers clearly show her possessed by the deadite spirits, but her performance is just awesome. Physically she nails it. I'm not entirely sure how she did certain bits, but the jerky nature of her walking corpse was great. Her facial expressions were on point, and the smile....ooh boy, that smile with cold dead eyes....wow. She really was great.
Overall this film, unlike another recent horror, made me uncomfortable, but in fun ways. It is a gore laden, eyes hidden, jump scary film in mostly the best ways. If you have a weak stomach you might wanna avoid it, but if you're a fan of horror, and the Evil Dead films, you'll love it. There are some brill little easter eggs scattered throughout the film, but you'll need to find them yourselves. It's getting a really well earned 8/10. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I hope you will too.

The Last of Us Season 1 Episode 9 - Recap and Review
Tumblr media
Hey everyone welcome back to my recap and review of another episode of The Last of Us. The show which I’m liking, based on a video game I’ve never played on a system that that I didn’t continue playing after the second generation. As per usual this review will not feature any Easter eggs, because frankly I wouldn’t know what one would be if I came across one. We’ll, we’ve made it to the finale and I believe this may be one of the more shorter episodes in this season. This gives some quick, straight the point answers about Ellie and her immunity to the virus as well as sets up a situation that will surely carry over into next season. It looks like I’m back on my super late to the party recap and review party, so let’s get right into it. We start off with a pregnant woman who is running through the forest who obviously has gone into labor. She stumbles into a house and heads upstairs into a room, closes the door and sits against the wall as she is trying to keep quiet to avoid any unwanted attention. You can hear a growling from a far and an infected breaks through the door and attacks her. She pulls out her pocket knife and kills the infected, then realized that as she was fighting off the infected she happen to push out a baby. She quickly cuts the umbilical cord and picks up the newborn. While admiring the life that she just birthed she notices that she has been bitten. I’m going to stop right here and tell you that this really hit me in the feels. I was just last night looking at pictures of my daughter when she was born and getting sentimental, so this didn’t help at all. Not only did this woman just put her life on the line to protect her baby, she now has to show this baby a lifetime of love in a short period because she knows she won’t be around for very long. We cut to Marlene, who we haven’t see since the first episode, entering the house and following the sound of a woman singing. Marlene enters a room and finds Anna holding a swaddled newborn and singing to her. The infected still lay dead next to her. She hands the baby to Marlene and tells her that she was bit before cutting the umbilical cord and tells her that the baby’s name is Ellie. She asks for help doing three things. The first is to feed her. She didn’t want to feed the baby while being infected, the second thing is to take care of the baby and the last is to take care of her by killing her. After some hesitation she hands the baby to another man that accompanied her and kills Anna. We cut to current day and Ellie is staring off in the distance as Joel scavenges for items. He mentions that the hospital where they are to meet the fireflys is near and they continue. Ellie seems more quiet than normal and Joel picks up on that. They get to a city where they make their way up a building where Ellie calls for Joel as there’s a Giraffe there just handing out eating leaves. It’s a nice moment as this is another moment where Joel gets to bring out his fatherly side and this almost imitates him and his daughter being at a zoo. The look in his eyes says it all and it’s almost like there is no apocalypse, just a father and daughter hanging out. As they continue walking a smoke grenade is thrown and Ellie taken out as Joel is knocked out. Joel wakes up to Marlene standing there. Joel asks where Ellie is and she explains that she is being prepped for surgery. There’s a doctor who believes that Ellie has enough of the virus inside of her to fool the virus enough to think that she is already fully infected, so it doesn’t start taking over her body. The doctor is going to isolate that part of what keeps Ellie safe and extract it, making Ellie vulnerable like everyone else. She then tells Joel that he will be escorted out to the highway, given some supplies and that’s the end of his journey with Ellie. Joel is escorted out and then wrestles the gun away from his escort, kills him and continues taking out every person in the hospital until he gets to where Ellie is being prepped for surgery. He shoots the doctor and orders the nurses to unhook an unconscious Ellie. As he makes his way with Ellie to the garage to locate a vehicle to use, he comes across Marlene who begs him to let this surgery happen. The next scene is Joel driving Ellie who wakes up and asks where everyone is. Joel lies and says that there are others like Ellie out there that raiders took he clothes so that’s why she is still in her hospital gown. She’s still woozy from the anesthetic and we cut to their vehicle broken down on the side of the road. Joel remarks that their next destination is about a 5-hour hike and as they walk Joel remarks that Ellie would have like his daughter and she would have liked her. Ellie stops and asks Joel is everything that she had been told about the fireflies by Joel was true. Joel has a flashback of shooting Marlene and leaving with Ellie and then turns to Ellie and says yes it was true. I really liked this episode but felt it went really fast. I like they didn't spend too much time on the explination of Ellie's immunity and didn't overly complicate it, but I also like how this really did feel like the end of a chapter in their lives. Ellie confirmed that the first person she ever killed was her friend in the mall and Joel admitted to trying to kill himself after his daughter died. Each of them lost someone and finding eachother is what kept them whole. It's no doubt that Joel has gone full stepdad and when speaking to Ellie he didn't come out and say it, but he implied it was Ellie who saved him. Joel made a choice to keep Ellie in his life, even though it meant that a cure would not be made. It was a tough choice and honestly I don't know if I would have made a different one. What if something happened during surgery and she didn't make it through and the cure didn't turn out to be something that could be made. Joel would have no one in his life. Even though his brother's alive, he wouldn't want to burden him with his moping around. He would just continue wondering until his day comes. Like I've said multiple times, I haven't played the games, but I know more or less what happens and it's hard to not get pre-sad on what may or may not happen in the next season. I wonder if we'll hear him sing Future Days by Pearl Jam. Read the full article

Supernatural: The Man with No Name, Chapter 24
This is a chaptered fanfiction piece taking place during season 14 of Supernatural.
Premise
This story takes place after episode 14.02 “Gods and Monsters.”
The arrival of John Winchester raises many questions, and gives us a glimpse into a world in which a few vital moments went a different way.
Notes: This piece is being crossposted on my Ao3.
Twenty-Four
John sat down on the edge of the bed, still processing everything she’d told him. On the one hand, his sons were alive. On the other, they’d been through a hell of a lot. He couldn’t imagine what that had done to them.
Mary sat beside him on the bed, one leg folded underneath her.
“You said when you saw me at the police station it was like seeing a ghost,” she said. “But, when you talked about Sam, the family getting into hunting… I was around then.”
John nodded.
“Yeah.”
“What happened to me over there? For you?”
He’d mention how she died, but not why. John sighed heavily.
“That’s also a long, complicated story. A lot like yours in some parts,” he said.
Mary smiled.
“Come on, I told you mine.”
John nodded.
“Yeah, you did.”
He got up to get a beer out of the fridge. He grabbed another one for Mary and went back over to the bed. He’d taken off his boots. His socks had holes in them.
Mary took the beer John handed her. He got back up on the bed, cracking open his can and taking a few generous gulps.
“I told you about Sam and his powers,” he said. “About the demon, Ruby.”
Mary nodded.
“Well, Sam and Ruby went to confront Lilith,” John said. “She was the first demon and the last seal.”
Mary nodded. She’d heard about Lilith.
“Here, too,” she said. “That happened here, too.”
“I guess he’d gone over too far with the demon blood,” John said. “Maybe because he’d practiced his powers more early on, because I’d encouraged him. Maybe because he and Dean never really got right with each other after Sam went his own way. Must’ve been a bunch of little things. Anyway, he was different. Wasn’t Sam anymore. He was… something else. Something… dark, and mean, and powerful.”
Mary couldn’t imagine it. Her patient, gentle Sam. Her baby boy.
“Dean figured it out somehow, where he was at,” John said. “I still don’t know how. You were chasing a lead in Delaware, a seal. Dean and me were in Maryland. Dean called me, rattled off something about Lilith and Lucifer. I couldn’t quite make him out. But he told me where he was headed, in case he failed, he said. In case he couldn’t do it. I wasn’t sure what was going on, but I hauled ass to that convent. Left you a crazy ass voicemail on the way. But, by the time I got there…”
He took a deep breath and let it out shakily.
“I was too late. Dean, he… He was dead. They were both gone by then, and Lucifer was back, but I didn’t know that part yet.”
John wiped at his eyes and Mary moved to sit beside him, putting an arm around him in half a hug.
“Oh, John.”
“I got him in the car,” John said. “I couldn’t leave him there. But I just sat there. Just sat there in the driver’s seat, sobbing like a baby for I don’t know how long. Then you called me. Christ, I didn’t know how to tell you. But you heard it. Heard it in my voice when I answered. You knew. You just knew something had happened to our boys.”
His voice broke and Mary held him tight. He rested his head against her for a moment, comforted by his wife’s warmth, her smell. He sat up, sniffing, recovering.
“You told me not to burn him,” he continued. “You said to wait for you, not to go anywhere. So, I just waited. I sat in the car, Dean in the damn trunk ‘cause I didn’t know where else to put him. And I prayed. Mary, I prayed so hard for so long my voice gave out. I was cursin’ God, the Devil, the damn angels, the whole world. And you never came. I thought, ‘shit, not her, too.’ And then I heard something.”
Mary frowned at him as his expression changed.
“I didn’t know what the hell it was. It sounded like scratching or scraping. Then it was louder, banging. The trunk. Dean was in the trunk.”
Mary put a hand to her mouth, putting together what happened before John told her. Because she knew herself. She knew what she would have done if it had been her on the other end of that phone call.
“I popped the trunk and ran back there as fast as I could to get him out,” John said. “I couldn’t believe it. He was dead. I knew he was dead. I’d tried to bring him back. CPR, mouth-to-mouth, pounded on his chest. He was gone, long gone when I got there. But, when I opened the trunk he crawled out of it, grabbing onto me and looking around with these big, frenzied eyes. He was as confused as I was. ‘Dad?’ he said. ‘Dad, what happened?’ But, I just grabbed onto him and held him, held onto him for dear life. And he said ‘Dad… Dad, it’s Sam.’ And he told me Sam wasn’t Sam anymore. Really wasn’t Sam. That by the time he got there the final seal was broken, and Lucifer was coming. That demon bitch stabbed him right as he heard Sam say ‘yes.’”
Mary’s stomach dropped. How could he have done it? Sam, who was so strong, and could be so stubborn when he was sure he was right.
“We met up with you,” John continued. “And you held Dean so tight. You didn’t want to talk about how it happened. You didn’t care. You had one son back. Now we had to get Sam. So, we started looking for a way to take down Lucifer and save Sam. But, we ran out of time. You ran out of time.”
Mary nodded.
“I made a deal, didn’t I?” she asked. “A crossroads deal.”
John nodded.
“You for Dean. A trade. They gave you one year instead of ten. You didn’t tell us until near the end. Didn’t want us to veer off course trying to save you. You wanted all our attention on Sam. And we were so angry at you. But, I understand now why you did it. Because we would have had to choose between you and Sam, and that would’ve been impossible. I figured that out later, after you were gone. When the world was going to Hell, and me and Dean were running out of options. Dean, he took a page out of your book, but he didn’t make a deal with a demon. He made one with Michael.”
Mary closed her eyes, pained.
“I got there too late. He’d already said yes, already found Sam - Lucifer. I had to watch my sons fight to the death. Christ, I was actually grateful you weren’t there to see it, Mary. I tried to stop it, tried to intervene, but they beat the shit out of me, both of them. Left me in a heap, choking on my own blood, bones broken all over. But, in the end, Dean came through. I don’t know how or why, but he came through. He said ‘I’m here, Sammy. I’m right here. I’m not going anywhere. I’m not gonna leave you, Sammy.’ But, I don’t think Sam heard him. If he did, he couldn’t do anything. I watched Dean die all over again, and Sam was used to do it.”
“Oh, God, John.”
Mary was crying too at this point, and the two of them hung onto each other. John spoke into her hair.
“He healed me,” he said. “Sam. Lucifer. Maybe they’re one and the same. Maybe that’s what it did, the demon blood, the visions, all of it. I don’t know. I asked him why and he said ‘Because I have work for you.’ I told him ‘I’ll kill you, you son of a bitch. Maybe not today. Maybe not tomorrow. But someday, I’m gonna kill you.’ He just laughed. And then he was gone. And I spent every moment of my life wishing I was dead, but I kept my sorry ass alive for Sam. Because if he’s still in there, if any part of him is still in there, I’m gonna save him.”

Waiting for your review of the Jensen-directed Walker episode! I thought it was very well directed even though it focused a beat too long on the easter eggs i.e. bacon, green cooler, and Jensen's cameo in the background when Stella threw away the trash. But it was fun for SPN fans so why not!
The Walkers are given an episode to breathe and take stock of themselves after losing their ancestral home but gaining a stronger family unit.  At the start of the season Bonham was contemplating selling the ranch because neither his sons nor grandchildren shown any interest in taking over it, and Stella wanted to get away from "the cursed ranch" by going to college in Maine.  You don't know what you have until you lose it.  Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but I've always thought Stella will be the one to take over the ranch and continue the family legacy even before they cast a red-head actress to play the founding ancestor in Walker Independence.
Nearly all the characters gathered in a community fair, a sort of neutral ground to temporarily forget their current troubles but couldn't delay the inevitable fallouts.  Cassie recruits Cordell to convince her old boss, Captain Cole Fenton, to de-classify Miles' case so she could continue to investigate, find Miles, and bring him home alive.  Fenton is wise to Cordell's goal and is about to walk away and perhaps punish him with permanent desk duties until Cordell brings up Miles' "widow" who is also Cole's current girlfriend.  Cordell points out Fenton didn’t need to rush the presume death order if he and the widow were already together.  Cole said he did it in order for the widow to receive life insurance money to pay for her mortgage and care for their child, or else it would take 7 years due to absence of a body.  This infuriates Cassie who immediately accuses the widow of wanting money rather than to find her missing husband.
The Walkers, Geri, and Cassie are using the same method of dealing with their worldview-shattering situations: by only subscribing to their own personal narrative and shutting others out.  For the former it leads to the break up of Cordi and Geri; the Walkers are hurting and didn't have time or emotional resources to rally support for Geri, and Geri has a very human desire to get to know her birth mother and didn't have time or emotional resources to rally support for the Walkers.  It's legit angst on both sides and better in the long run for both parties to be "on a break" (which makes Cordell a free man to flirt with Twyla in future episodes).  For Cassie it led her to abandon Mile's "widow", whom Cassie considers family, in her time of need and forces her to ask Fenton to legally declare her husband dead so that she can continue caring for their daughter with the life insurance money.  The only person who didn't abandon the widow was Fenton so it's understandable why she moved on with her life with him.
Like Cordell in the first season, Cassie is given a false resolution to her partner's disappearance so that she can move forward to the present.  The last scene shows Fenton visiting a mysterious figure living in a trailer with "we need to talk", leaving the viewers to assume the mysterious figure is Miles.  So Miles is either in deep undercover, or he's in deep trouble and has to fake his own death.  I'm leaning to the latter as it wouldn't make sense to shut out Cassie if Miles is undercover.
My score: 8.0 out of 10.  It's a solid episode that moves Cordell past Geri, and Cassie past Miles.  I enjoyed the SPN reference and I didn’t expect to enjoy Kansas’ Wayward Son song as much as I did.   Plus it was good to see the Walkers and Trey enjoying themselves.  1 point deduction for unresolved mysteries and another 1 point deduction for the Walkers not getting their ancestral land back.  I know I know, character angst and development and all that, and normally I'm all for it, but the Davidsons have gotten away with too much bullshit with no apparent fall out.  Yeah I understand it's a drawn out backdoor pilot into Walker: Independence aka the Davidson villain origin story and if this is the only season of the Davidson then I'll retroactively rate this episode higher.

Friendliness
A/N - ha so i just wrote this - no editing we die like men. here’s the alternate ending to my other post Likeability (this one is the more predictable one y’all will probably like whoops) if you’ve read the other one, just skip to the end it’s all the same in the middle
Summary - The Team meets a very unfriendly scientist which Spencer’s taken a fancy to
W/C - 2.9k (whoops)
Warnings - Mild Anatomy/bones/etc discussion, a pinch and change of swearing
----
Luke is holding his stomach in his hands. He could usually pride himself on keeping his cool, keeping his head—and stomach—together during a case. He’d seen enough dead bodies that this shouldn’t have thrown him like he’d just sailed twelve foot waves in a dingy.
But he is, after all, standing over a mass grave. Watching a too giddy scientist dig up the bodies.
You’ve captured everyone’s attention, for various reasons. Rossi is vaguely amused by your joyous shouting of bones and your rat moustached assistant. Luke can’t tear his eyes away from the car wreck—are you supposed to swing bones around like baseball bats? Reid seems more interested in your bad jokes and coveralls than he is in solving the case.
The rat assistant—Stewart Walsh—squeezes between Luke and Reid, scuttling like some kind of diseased turtle. “Doctor Y/L/N!”
You barely stop pouring over the mud covered pelvis in your hands to even acknowledge him.
“I just thought you should know that Dr. Evanston just got here.”
You look up, toss the bone to him, and snort. “Tell him the soil samples are four miles due east from here.”
“What’s wrong with Evanston?” Luke asks to no one in particular it seems, waving Stewart off to run for a group of approaching nerds in coveralls.
Ignoring the question or maybe Luke, you just turn back to your search. Elbow deep in mud, being nice must not have been on the to-do list. Reid leans over, hands in his pockets, and whispers, “Evanston stole one of her research papers. I thought he was going to get his teeth kicked in—“
“Skull!” you holler. Luke isn’t stupid enough to miss the glare reserved for the sheepish Dr. Reid.
He clears his throat. “Thoughts so far, doctor?”
“I’m thinking beetles,” is all you say before turning back to your skull. Luke might not know many scientists, but he doesn’t think that most of them look at human skulls like its the Mona Lisa. Like this fat piece of bone held the answers to the universe inside its empty eye sockets.
“Beetles?” Luke coughs. Rossi just shakes his head. Pretends this isn’t a conversation he’s having. Reid is still studying you like Luke might study infiltration schematics. Stewart runs up, out of breath, very rose coloured.
You’re eyes are sparkling as you wade over to them with a new radius bone in your hands. Everyone bends like they know what they’re looking at and you point along the edge of the bone. “It’s a subtle difference but these bones have been cleaned before being buried. My guess is carrion beetles. They’re very hard workers. And—“ you switch to pointing at the radial head— “minute scoring and kerf marks. These look pretty old, so I’m assuming we’re getting close to the bottom.”
“So our unsub dismembered his victims,” Rossi begins, “then cleaned the pieces?”
You nod and hand off the bone to a very blushing Stewart. “I won’t know for sure until I’ve had a chance to examine all the bones. There’s nothing definitive yet. What a hobbyist though, right?”
You chuckle to yourself and dive back into fishing out more finger and wrist bones. Luke turns, runs his hands over his face, and hikes a thumb over his shoulder. “Where did we find her?”
Rossi shrugs, “FBI easter egg hunt.” Luke blinks, while Rossi chuckles at his gullibility. “Come on, the doctor’s the best in the field. Good kid, I can tell.”
“Y/N’s great,” Spencer absently adds on, too busy staring at you. You’re explaining different types of dismemberment to Stewart like you’re discussing the rain. Luke grips onto his stomach just a little tighter.
“Y/N, huh?” Luke teases, momentarily forgetting the unsettling feeling in his gut about you. “You two, uh, friends or something?”
It’s Reid’s turn to stumble. “Yeah, but it’s—we’re just—we’re just—.”
Rossi shakes his head, slaps Reid on the shoulder. “Oh yeah, just friends. So, tell me. Do you talk about dismemberment before or after you make out?”

JJ wants to beg Emily not to make her go down into the basement. You’re down there. She knows it’s childish to be this avoidant—you are just a person after all. A creepy, psychopathic weirdo that makes JJ’s gut churn. She gets why Spencer’s taken to you—shared love of science and random trivia. She does. But that doesn’t mean JJ enjoys the cold ass morgue, smiling along as you ramble. Most of everyone’s limited contact with you has involved random facts and Stewart’s too intimate knowledge of fracture patterns.
There had been ten minutes of reassurance from Emily that you were, in fact, not a horrible person. Ended with JJ making the cold and dark trek down to the morgue. She couldn’t imagine working down here all day long. No one to talk to, no one to strategise with, no where to go. Maybe it suited you. No one would have to listen.
“—don’t know what to do!” echoes across the bottom of the stairwell, the morgue’s doors cracked open. The distress breaks JJ’s heart. Your voice stops her dead in her tracks.
“They don’t hate you,” Spencer’s voice comes after. Gentler, softer. “They—they just don’t know you yet.”
“They don’t want to, Spence!” and JJ winces with the words. It always hurt more when the truth came out in that tone. “I get it! You know? I work with human remains and don’t bring my people skills with me when I’m on the job, but—that shouldn’t matter!”
JJ winces again, tries to ignore how those are nothing short of teary sniffles echoing through her ears. She leans back against the wall and has no idea what to do. Spencer had obviously been down here for hours. Knew you well enough to get the teary truth. What could she do now? Interrupt?
She’d walked into hostage situations less freakin’ stressful than this.
“You’re right,” Spencer soothes, steadfast and strong, “it doesn’t matter. This isn’t—“
“It’s not your fault,” you sigh. JJ doesn’t want to hear the strangled touch to your voice. Doesn’t want to hear the break. “They’re your friends and I’m just your—“
“Doctor!” Stewart calls and JJ could scream. You’re his what?
At least, it’s as good as any moment to intrude.
“What, Stewart?” you snapped, already broken away from Spencer with wet cheeks and stained glasses. You wipe them off haphazardly with the tail end of Spencer’s sweater sleeve—JJ couldn’t help but smile, even if it’s a little strangled.
Stewart jumps like a wet cat and tosses a bundle of files into your hands. “Beetles.”
One word snatches the tears from your face. Snatches you away from Spencer’s side for one of the dozen skeletons on the tables. There was no reason to think that she’ll get her report from you now. With a rib bone in one hand and contemplation in your features—JJ can’t decide how unnerved she is—you’re a little too concentrated.
Stewart scuttles around you. A little too attentive. A little too cherry tinted. Yep. No reports to be had from either of you. JJ turned to Spencer instead, hoping that maybe he’d be helpful. Plastered up like a billboard, JJ knows that saccharine smile isn’t going to get her anywhere.
“Spence?”
He hums, halfheartedly tearing his eyes away. “Yeah?”
“I need the latest report for Emily, but I don’t think—“
“I’ll—just a second, JJ.” Spencer grins, sugary sweet, and slips away. JJ doesn’t miss how he places a hand on your shoulder as he passes. How you barely even notice that quite intimate contact. She also doesn’t miss how Stewart’s face sours at the action, how his eyes narrow enough that Spencer feasibly should’ve noticed.
Reports in hand a minute later, JJ leans over to Spencer. Elbows him in the arm. “Stewart seems pretty jealous. Any reason for that?”
Spencer shrugs. “Wouldn’t know a thing about it.”
#
Rossi doesn’t have an opinion. Everyone keeps asking—oh Rossi, you’re the wisest of us all, what should we do about poor little Y/N? He doesn’t know, doesn’t care. You are just some scientist who is doing a thousand percent better job than any other forensics ‘expert’ he’s had the pleasure of working with.
Your lab doesn’t smell. You don’t smell. Is there anything more to ask for?
But he does get the brute of having to make the trek down to the morgue—god, his knees alone—and receives most of the reports from the not as horrible as everyone thinks Dr. Y/N Y/L/N. Who is joyfully humming while squinting over one of the skeleton’s hands.
“Hey, doc,” he calls and you look up at him with an adorable sort of grin. “Got anything new?”
“Sure,” you chirp. Hesitate to wave him over. “If you want the details, that is.”
Rossi shakes his head, pulls up a stool to sit next to you and your subject. “I like to have as much knowledge as I can. You never know what will lead you to your un-sub.”
You settle your elbows on the table, straighten a stray finger bone. The team shouldn’t be worried about you being a psychopath. You’re dedicated, careful, attentive. Rossi hopes that if he ever gets turned into human remains, you’re the one looking over him. There’s been more care put into one skeleton than into his three combined marriages.
“You’re in luck,” you answer, “I’ve got a lot to tell you about our attacker. You’ve got time, right?”
Rossi nods, smiles. “Plenty.”
#
Penelope still hasn’t met you and that kind of pisses her off. You haven’t made it upstairs once? She flies into some dingy Wyoming hovel of a police station for like a week and no one’s thought to bring you upstairs? Rude.
She’s sitting in JJ’s desk chair, waiting for her and Luke to get back from interviewing a potential lead—some ex-felon who fit your makeshift profile. Reid’s scouring over some boring geographical profile, trying not to get annoyed as she nervously—angrily—rants about the case to him. She knows he’s tuning her out, but her work’s been put on the back burner until someone comes up with something to give her.
There’s only so much a computer can find and she’s no profiler.
It’s about five minutes after Reid snapped and left to get a coffee refill, when she picks up a call from the desk. “Hello?”
Creaking metal and shuddering breathing comes first. “Set the scalpel down” comes second.  She swallows, silent, and panicking. What the heck is she supposed to do? Paying attention to those hostage negotiation seminars that she definitely didn’t go to would’ve come in handy right about now.
Said scalpel clatters onto some metal table, followed by a strong, “You really don’t want to do this. Please put the gun down.”
Oh god, this is happening.
“You just—“ a male voice snips, bellowing out, “YOU DON’T LOOK AT ME.”
“I do look at you, Stewart,” you plead just as JJ and Luke clamour through the bullpen’s door. Penelope puts the call on speaker, mutes it, and screams for them.
“I don’t know what to do,” Penelope sobs professionally, “someone’s got a gun.”
JJ runs for Emily’s office while Reid returns heedlessly. Luke puts a soft hand on Penelope’s cold one and squeezes. Newbie or not, it’s appreciated as the man’s voice returns. “I’ve tried for so long to get you to—to just—just look at me! I’ve done so much!”
“I know, Stewart,” you ease and Reid tenses. Nearly drops his coffee. “It’s not your fault. You’ve worked so hard.”
“Yeah,” Stewart sobs; Penelope can only imagine how crazy this kid must be.
“Did you leave all those bodies for me, Stewart?” you question and everyone holds their breath. Luke squeezes harder on her hand. Reid’s twitching like a rabbit’s nose, a death grip on his mug, frozen as a Michigan pond.
Stewart sniffles. Probably nods. Penelope doesn’t know whether to run or sit or cry. She decides it’s probably cry, but instead her fingers start moving to record the call, trace the office origin.
“It was a great puzzle, Stewart, it was really genius. It was a fun case to follow, you know that.” You swallow hard, metal tinkles through the speaker. Please, Penelope begs, don’t let them kill each other. I haven’t met the doctor yet!
“Why did you kill these girls, Stewart?” your voice is so gentle and lulling Penelope almost forgets that she’s listening to you try to save your own life.
“I wanted you to look,” he says, sniffles. “I wanted you. I want you, Y/N. I want you to love me.”
It’s either her computer beeping or someone falling through a table or a gunshot. She doesn’t know. She’s crying too hard to care.
#
Tara doesn’t know when she started to run—probably just after JJ, Luke, and Reid barrelled passed her by the bathroom shouting about the situation—but she’s almost to the morgue doors, right on Reid’s heels. Lord almighty, she feels so stupid. She’d had enough little one on one chats with Stewart to know he was some sort of psycho in disguise. To know that something was wrong with that kid. No one could last more than three minutes with your grad student assistant without wanting to take an eyeball out—his or theirs it didn’t matter. She’d let herself believe you when you told her that all forensic anthropologists seem like that. That there was nothing to worry about.
Nothing to worry about her ass.
Luke’s the first to storm the morgue, expecting what Tara is: you, dead, on the floor with Stewart on the brink of killing himself. But they stop and they stare and Reid beams on with the absurd look on your face.
You’re shaking with rage, pointing a gun at a very unconscious, crumpled, bleeding Stewart Walsh. Your teeth are bared in what Tara would consider out of a comic book—ludicrous and of someone who’s completely lost their mind. JJ makes the mistake of asking if you’re alright.
“Alright?” you chirp, feral and ravenous. JJ and Luke shrink back as you shout, “I lived in Honduras for three years! This isn’t even the worst thing that’s happened to me. It’s my third fucking kidnapping!”
“T-third?” Luke croaks.
“Third!” you shout again and recklessly set your gun on the table. Spencer grins, which sets you off further. “I’ve been nice. I’ve been accommodating. But this is my fourth psychotic grad student! I fucking swear—!”
Stewart groans—thank god he’s alive—and Spencer, thankfully, rushes forward to catch you before you can take anything else out on the kid. Tara’s heard rumours about mysterious other instances of your being under arrest. Illegal transportation of goods was one thing, police brutality was another. The scalpel sticking out of his knee is bad enough.
She helps Luke haul Stewart to his feet, reeking of desperation and a much needed psych eval. JJ follows close behind, closes the morgue doors behind them. But not before they hear your muffled sobs and Spencer’s smiling.
“You got him, Y/N.”
“No, Spence,” you correct, and Tara can’t help but be proud, “I kicked the snot out of him.”
#
Emily is barely awake when she sees it. JJ’s soft breathing next to her is lulling by itself, let alone if you add in Rossi’s rhythmic snoring and Luke’s idle whispers of sleep talk. Emily could do with some sleep and maybe a few days off. They could all use a few days off, especially after coming to terms with the fact a grad student had killed 12 women just to get a little action.
From a scientist who freely admitted to enjoying the company of bones over real people.
Alive people.
No wonder Stewart had done what he’d done.
Emily turns in her spot, lays back against the wall of the airplane and the seat. After nearly five decades—she’s never thinking about that again—of plane rides, she can comfortably say she can sleep anywhere. With any amount of noise, or cold, or pain.
But her eyes are accidentally open when she peaks around the seat cushion. Spies the Wild Dr. Reid in his natural habitat, reading some ridiculously long book and…carding his fingers through your hair? He’s got a lock curled up around his finger, gently twisting it as he reads. You’re sleeping—knocked the fuck out—in his lap, gripping loosely onto his leg.
You deserve the sleep, Emily decides with a smile. You’d worked the hardest on the case, up for nearly four days with as little rest as you can manage. How Stewart managed to stay awake enough to attack you is beyond Emily. She’s missed out on a few hours just today and she’s losing the battle with her eyelids.
No one ever asked her opinion of you. Probably didn’t have to. You were not the easiest to like, but you’d captured her respect and a bit of her heart when you’d said at the beginning of the case: “I’m an excavator by trade—I’m at archeological digs most of the time—so it’s hard to wrap my head around the fact that these ladies are murder victims. I don’t think I’ll sleep until I’ve got names for them. And maybe the murderer on my table.”
Emily understood the unease, the apprehension. Why everyone was relieved when you’d turned down the plane ride she’d offered you. How they all bit back groans when Emily had insisted. But they’ll have to get used to it, Emily thinks and she settles again. Because they’ll see you again. No doubt about it. The way you’re wrapped up around Spencer, how you hold tighter when the jet bounces a touch, says just that much anyway.

The mansion was silent on this Wednesday morning. Not a noise to be heard as Jeongguk pads down the right staircase of the large home. His sleep laden eyes drift to the brand new door before yawning loudly. His hand coming up to scratch at his bare tattooed chest as he makes his way through the sitting room. The perfectly white marble countertop of the island gives him a place to lean as he runs his hands through his black hair. He drank way too much yesterday with Taehyung to celebrate the birth of his new son.
Everyone was finding love around him, starting families and here he was still a bachelor since his girlfriend Lee was murdered. He could sometimes still picture her, her black hair blowing in the breeze in the garden. Or, the way she used to wrinkle her nose at everything, a habit Guk had adopted from her. He sighs to himself before shoving off of the counter as he rounds the island to the liquor cabinet. Sometimes Lee visits him in his dreams, begging him to move on, to experience happiness like the others in his gang. But, how could he? He has this warped mind that only knows how to torture and kill. After she was gone there was no love, no yearning. He smiles, sure, at his nieces and nephews. He finds happiness in others' happiness but never his own.
Jeongguk jumps up on the counter, Johnny Walker in his right hand as Hawon runs into the kitchen. He smirks down at her before putting the bottle of alcohol behind his back.
"Our Hawon." Her body sways as she does a little dance noticing her uncle. Jeongguk chuckles before hopping down off the island and picking her up.
"Airplane?! Airplane, Uncle Guk!" Mirae enters not even a second later before sighing as Jeongguk throws Hawon up in the air. Her screech echoes throughout the kitchen as Jeongguk chuckles. See, this is a flint of happiness he obtains through the people around him. He can smile at the way Mirae becomes disheveled with the kids even though she has OCD and hates to be out of perfect form. He can smile at how Hawon is delighted to be with him. And yet, when he's alone the loneliness and anger gnaws at him, as if he has a constant leech on his body. Jeongguk spins around, hands grasping at Hawon's small body before putting her back on the ground.
"Uncle Guk has to go to work. I'll see you later, hmm? We can watch that Tinkerbell movie." Hawon nods ecstatically at his promise before running out into the garden.
"Just a ball of energy." Mirae mumbles before chasing Hawon out the kitchen door. Jeongguk smirks before grabbing the whisky and walking out of the kitchen.

The blood tainted towel falls into Guk's lap as he sits down in the wooden chair in his warehouse. The blubbering and shaking of the man in front of him makes him sigh as he kicks the chair back on its hind two legs. His feet coming to rest on the blood stained wooden table in front of him.
"Just tell me what I want to know." His tone was not to be taken lightly as he shakes his long hair out of his face. Assessing the pained body in front of the table, he tilts his head.
"I didn't cut your tongue out for you to talk so you'd better do so, or I'll tell my boss you bit it off instead." This is what Jeongguk was best at. Jimin's wife on many occasions has stated that she couldn't believe the cute, tattoo riddled boy in front of her was such a fierce person. But, it's what he is best at. It's all he knows and he's damn good at it.
"You-I...Ple-Please." The voice was hoarse as if they haven't had water in days. Jeongguk taps his fingers against his leather pants before looking up at the wooden ceiling of his warehouse.
"Not what I want to hear. I want to hear from your mouth how you got the address." All he needs is a name, that's it.
"I have nothing else to take from you, Kyung. I took your eyes, your dick, your fingers." The man sobs hopelessly as Jeongguk looks at the blood stained bandage over the top of Kyung's head.
"Im Junggoo." Jeongguk sighs, his hands covering his face before nodding.
"Yeah. I was afraid you were going to say that." Jeongguk's body moves gracefully as he jumps out of the chair. He whistles to himself as he pulls his gun out from the back of his waistband. His fingers roll the silencer onto the tip of the gun before sighing as he jumps up onto the table before sitting down crossing his legs.
"This was fun, Kyung. Let's do it again sometime." He closes one eye, aiming at Kyung's head before pulling the trigger. The body falls, twitching slightly before stilling and Jeongguk can do nothing but set down the gun on the table and watch how the blood begins to pool into the reddened dirt around him. His blood covered hands lean back behind him as he looks up at the ceiling. He was damn good at his job.

"You need to go get some relief of some kind." Jimin tells Jeongguk as he sits at his desk. Jeongguk looks over the rim of his whisky glass before furrowing his eyebrows.
"What?"
"Since you've stepped into this room your hands have been shaking, you have bags under your eyes and you can't stop bouncing your knee. You need to get some relief." The older man points at his knee, product of proof right in front of him that has Jeongguk rolling his eyes.
"I'm fine." Jimin sips his coffee before leaning back in his chair, his crisp white shirt wrinkling as he does so.
"I'm not asking you, I'm telling you." Jeongguk licks at his lips before folding his hands around the whisky glass in his lap. Jimin was the closest person to him since he was young. Jimin helped him find himself, made him who he is today and Jeongguk never takes that for granted.
"I can't sleep. She comes to see me in my dreams." He tells his best friend as he looks down at the newly purchased Persian rug that replaced the old one after Jimin's wife killed someone in the office.
"Lee?" Jeongguk nods to his question before downing the rest of his liquor.
"She always tells me to move on, or be happy. Like that's such a fucking easy thing to do. Like I can't remember what her fucking body looked like when we came home." Jimin swallows thicky before looking up at the ceiling.
"I get it. Really I do." Jeongguk's chest begins to tighten as he turns his head to look at the stained glass window.
"It's not like I have a Kitten, like you do that magically transcends me into a different plane of existence and makes me better." Jimin takes a deep breath through his nose as he sets down his coffee.
"Watch it. Your words are getting reckless." His eyes flicker shut, his heart beating in his ears as he sees Lee painted on the back of his eyelids.
"I can see her. She's wearing that pink dress that I bought her for Valentine's Day. Her hair was in pretty curls. I can see her smiling at me." Jeongguk chokes on his own spit as his eyes open wide before standing up and walking over to the liquor caddy.
"Guk." Jimin whispers as the alcohol sloshes into the crystal glass.
"I'm fine." The lie slips right past his lips as he looks up at the portrait of all the guys behind Jimin's chair.
"Go see one of Kitten's girls. It might help." A giggle bursts through the room as Jeongguk turns to his older brother.
"Help? They aren't therapists. They suck cock for a living." Jimin sighs before putting his hand to his forehead. Jeongguk was stubborn, he always has been and probably always will be.
"Then go see a therapist. You're getting out of control. I saw what you did to Kyung's body. You're lashing out."
"I was doing my fucking job." Jimin clicks his teeth as the study door opens.
Jimin's wife stands in the doorway, one hand holding their son Minseok as the other rests comfortably on her growing belly.
"Sorry. He wants daddy." She whispers before looking at Guk.
"We don't cut people's eyes out." Jimin responds to Jeongguk before standing up and grabbing his son from his wife's arms.
"I got it, Kitten." She hums before her eyes take in Jeongguk's disheveled body.
"I was just doing my fucking job. Okay?" He looks over at Jimin's wife before raising his eyebrows as she stares at him.
"WHAT?!" He screams to her as Jimin sighs gently.
"Jeon Jeongguk-"
"Easy, Kitten." Jeongguk's head cocks to the side as Jimin rubs at her pregnant belly.
"Go to a therapist, Guk. I'm not asking." The silence was palpable, eyes glancing here and there from all three people in the room before Minseok whines. How would Jeongguk even be able to process his thoughts? Let alone tell them to some quack who would just nod and ask him how he feels about it? Just give him snarky remarks before writing down a prescription for some soothing meds and telling him his hour is up. "I'd rather get my cock sucked."
Jeongguk stands in front of the Beasley Hotel. His eyes reading the same scripted letters on the facade of the expensive building for the thirteenth time before sighing. Of course, Jimin's wife immediately made an appointment with one of the girls for him. She asked Jeongguk what he liked and he didn't respond to her so she just set him up with someone new. Now, of course, all the girls that worked for her and her partner Hyunah were  incredibly capable. It takes a high standard to get into the Golden Cage. But, he couldn't bring himself to want to go through with the whole ordeal. Lee constantly springs to mind every step he takes. Could he really watch a girl get undressed, suck his dick or do anything to him without feeling guilty? He can't say he could.
This girl would probably tell Jimin's wife he didn't go through with it and there would be hell to pay. He's getting a million dollar session for free. Jeongguk steps off the curb across the street before walking to the ritzy hotel in front of him. His hand digs into his black skinny jean pocket before producing a folded piece of paper.
732
Jeongguk takes a deep breath through his nose. Just have to get it over with, right? He steps through the revolving door before entering the hotel. He pockets his tattooed hands as people bustle about in the hotel lobby. He receives a few strange looks, this was not the sort of grandeur hotel that usually has leather clad, tattooed men just waltzing in. His hand reaches behind him making sure to feel the comfort of his gun in his waistband before relaxing. His combat boots make a dull thudding noise against the marble flooring, the sound reverberating in his ears as he approaches the front desk.
Orchards litter the large stone desk as he leans over it, a girl in a pants suit looks up before raising an eyebrow.
"Can I help you?" Everything about her was dripping with disdain as Jeongguk cleared his throat.
"Yeah, I'm here to see a guest in room 732." The front desk agent clicks her teeth before looking over his top half incredulously. This was the usual hotel for Golden Cage clients. 732 was always the room people would go to. It was common knowledge for most people in the hotel to know that a guest for 732 was going to get their rocks off.
"Mkay." The agent mumbles before picking up the phone and pressing the numbers languidly. Her eyes never leave Jeongguk's face as he looks around the hotel lobby. This place was nice, really nice. Lee would have loved to stay here. See, this is the problem. Everything is Lee. Every waking breath he has he could equate something to his dead girlfriend, for years now. Even when he sleeps, all he sees is her. Whether that be alive, dead, dismembered, you name it he's had a dream of her doing it or being there. He pokes an orchard petal as the agent lets the girl in the room know she has a visitor. His body sways back and forth awkwardly as he looks towards the elevators.
"You can go up." Jeongguk looks back down at the agent before nodding. "Thanks."
The hallway smells expensive, like lavender and warm vanilla. The chandeliers that hang from the ceiling exude the persona of this place and Jeongguk cannot begin to process how he came to be here. He nods his head to the Lee man who guards the door.
"Arms up." Jeongguk clears his throat before doing as told.
"I have a gun and two knives on me." He's courteous at least to tell him. He respects the Lees, they work quick and fast and have never given the Lions a problem. Especially since Yoongi just recently got engaged to Hyunah. The Lee man hums as he pulls the gun out from behind him. Jeongguk reaches down before pulling his knives from his boots and handing them over.
"Have fun." He says before shoving the door open for him. Jeongguk looks into the room before clearing his throat and stepping inside.
The lights were dim upon entry, white furniture beckons him forward as he looks around the room.
"Hello?" His voice was timid as he stepped towards the bed. The gold headboard catches his attention before turning to a noise in the bathroom.
"Hello." There you stood, a grey satin robe covering your almost naked body as you take the tall man into your sights. Jeongguk runs his fingers through his long black hair, his eyes looking over your body before looking away as if it was inappropriate. He shifts awkwardly on one foot to the other, there was something cute about it. The tall, muscular man was seemingly nervous in your presence. You smile warmly as you walk past him, his muscles tensing as your satin robe brushes against his leather jacket.
You sit on the bed, legs crossing as you lean back on your hands. The robe inches up, your bare thighs coming into view for his eyes as he pockets his hands.
"You can sit. You know." Jeongguk opens his mouth before giving a small laugh.
"Yeah." You pat the spot next to you and he slowly makes his way over. He sits on the edge, his butt barely connecting with the mattress as his shoulders tense up. He stares straight ahead at the black television screen. You lazily take in his features, big doe eyes and a perfect nose. Nice pink lips and a killer jawline grace your sight as you sit up.
"I'm Y/N." Jeongguk turns to you before bowing his head.
"Jeongguk." You hum to him before watching how his knee bounces in anxiousness. Why did your boss tell you to give him the plus treatment if he seems like he doesn't want to be here?
"Drink?" You ask pointing at the liquor cabinet. Jeongguk takes his hands out of his pockets only to place them on his knees, his fingertips digging into the fabric of his jeans before nodding.
"Sure!" He springs up before crossing the expanse of the room.
Jeongguk takes a deep breath before opening the liquor cabinet.
"Are you a virgin?" You ask as he pours two glasses of whisky. He chuckles, a sound that blesses your ears as you tilt your head.
"No. I'm not a virgin." He turns back around to you, his black hair falling into his eyes as he smiles. He has a pretty smile, something about it makes you feel warm. Like nothing bad could happen when it was around. You find yourself smiling back as he hands you the glass.
"You can take your jacket off, you know. I'm not going to immediately jump your bones, unless you're into that." He snorts, a simple exhale through his nose before shrugging off his leather jacket and throwing it onto the bed.
"Good." You say before taking a sip of the whisky. The warm liquor soothes you, a fire producing in your belly as Jeongguk side eyes you. You were beautiful, he expected as much. Jimin's wife wasn't in the business of hiring ugly women. His gaze flickers to your bare thighs once more before looking anywhere else. You catch this within a second, and notice the discomfort he begins to feel. His body turning away from you out of instinct.
You feel pity for him, something clearly isn't right with this situation he has been brought into. You grab at the duvet cover of the bed before throwing it over your legs.
"Better?" You ask quietly as Jeongguk notices your movement. He looks back over at you, his doe eyes widening further.
"I'm sorry. I must be being rude." You shake your head at his statement before giving him a smile.
"It's okay if you don't want to do anything. I understand." He makes a noise in the back of his throat that you can't decipher before turning to you. You seemed like an understanding person. You didn't strike him as a courtesan to say the least.
"I want to. But, I can't. My brain won't let me." He taps his index finger against his temple before taking a large gulp of the whisky. His teeth grit, neck veins fluttering as he swallows the whisky. You can sense his nervousness and it really doesn't look good on this handsome man.
"I'll be right back." You whisper before standing up and heading for the bathroom.
"I fucked up." Jeongguk whispers before closing his eyes, he could see her. He could see Lee plain as day. She was frowning, her long black hair strewn over her shoulder as she folded her arms. Jeongguk couldn't move on, he was trapped in this miserable mindset. He wasn't even sure what it would be like to not see Lee or think of Lee at every given moment. It would probably terrify him. The bathroom door opens and you emerge in a long mocha brown sweater, black leggings shield your thighs as you smile at Guk.
"I'm really sorry. I didn't mean to make you embarrassed or anything, I-" You cut him off with the shake of your head.
"It's alright, you didn't offend me. Takes a lot more than that to make me offended." Jeongguk nods, his shoulders relaxing slightly as you jump on the bed. Your back connects to the gold headboard as you grab your glass.
"Might be nice to not get fucked for once." He laughs gently before turning his body to you, the way his eyes crinkle makes your heart skip a beat. He's way too handsome. His hand pushes his hair behind his pierced ear before taking a sip of his drink.
"You can have a drink and just chill out. Or, I can leave if you want." You suggest pointing your manicured finger at the door. Jeongguk is quick to shake his head,
"No, no. Don't go. It's nice to just...just be able to sit and drink." He wholeheartedly means it. You felt comfortable to him. Nothing about this experience felt weird or strange which was a blessing in and of itself. Jeongguk scratches at the back of his neck and you catch the branding iron you've seen a few times before with a few clients.
"You're a Lion." Jeongguk puts his hand down before giving you a small smile.
"Yeah. I am. I'm one of the original seven." You hum before sitting up and putting your hand under your cheek. "I heard that you guys defile women and torture men." Jeongguk gives a carefree laugh as he fully turns to you.
"Clearly that isn't the case. I made you go put your clothes on." You giggle before sipping the whisky and tapping your fingers to your temple. His smile doesn't fade as his warm brown eyes gaze upon your face.
"I'm sorry your boss made you take me on as a client. I'm sure it's a waste of time."
"You're not a waste of time. Don't say that. You're actually nice, compared to most people that enter this room." Jeongguk tilts his head before sucking air through his teeth.
"I'll kill them if you want me to. The people that aren't nice to you." His eyes gleam with playfulness as you kick back your body before giggling.
"Is that your way of flirting?" He takes a sip, the corners of his mouth quirked upwards as he stares at you.
"So why are you here anyway? You said my boss made me take you on. Why?" Jeongguk clears his throat as he kicks off his combat boots before sitting cross legged on the bed. Now, he's uncomfortable. He looks past you to the pearlescent night stand as he puffs out his cheeks.
"Because I, uh, can't function. My boss says I'm getting reckless." You hum as if you have any idea what he's talking about. After the hour you've been talking and drinking, you've kind of just assumed he's an enigma. He only answers what he wants to, he looks away at any given chance to not feel something. He seems like he doesn't want to feel. You wouldn't push him, it isn't your place. And yet, there's something about him that just makes you want to give him a hug. He seems so sad. You want to make him smile and laugh, he seems like he deserves that.
"So they thought that you getting your dick sucked would make you better?" He laughs before looking down at his lap.
"I think so." You sigh before sitting up and putting your hand on his knee. He stiffens, his eyes look up at you before relaxing his muscles.
"Don't worry. I'm here to talk to you, if you want. I know my main job is to spread my legs for people but I'm a good listener." Jeongguk is quick to defend your honor to yourself.
"Don't say that. Your main job is irrelevant to me. I'm happy I could sit here and just bullshit with you for hours. I feel kinda better than before." Your smile brings one to his own face.
"Good. I'm glad." A knock comes at the door and you both turn your heads to the noise.
"Time." You hear through the door and you sigh before standing up.
"That's my cue." Jeongguk opens his mouth before nodding. For the first time in forever, he wants more time. He mentally chides himself, he spent so much time looking away and not answering that he didn't even get a real chance to speak with you. He regrets that.
"Jeongguk. Hopefully I'll see you around." You say as you grab your bag from the bathroom.
"Me too! Thanks, Y/N." You give him that warm smile he's suddenly become fond of before leaving the room. The Lee man enters before handing Jeongguk his weaponry and bowing his head. Jeongguk lays down on the bed before closing his eyes. Lee was like a faded print behind his eyelids.
Tumblr media
"How was she?" Jimin asks as they sit down for the meeting. Jeongguk smirks before putting his gun on the table.
"Really nice." Jimin raises an eyebrow before folding his arms.
"How do you know she's really nice if she had her mouth on your cock?" Jeongguk scoffs before matching his best friend's actions with folding his own arms.
"Don't talk about her like that. She didn't need to suck my cock for me to know she's nice." Jimin's expression softens at Jeongguk's murmur.
"Did you dream of Lee last night?" His question is point blank as the others file into the room.
"Briefly." She had come and gone, Jeongguk for the first time in a long time didn't wake up drenched in sweat. He didn't feel compelled to tell Jimin every single detail of last night but there was one sentence that had Jimin bursting at the seams to know more. "I'd like to see her again."
Jeongguk walks down the hotel hallway, his gun and knives already in hand before handing them to the Lee man standing at the door.
"Enjoy." Jeongguk has come to know the Lee man as Junkwon, he was nice and always escorted you. Junkwon opens the door, the lights are dim yet again.
"Hey." Jeongguk sounds breathless as you sit in the chair by the large window, your body covered in just a beige lace bra with matching panties. You look up before covering your legs with a gasp.
"Jeongguk! They didn't tell me it was you. I'm sorry." You say quickly grabbing your robe. Jeongguk has become really fond of this, fond of how considerate you are. How comfortable you make him feel when you're around just being yourself.
"Don't worry." He says as you stand up. His eyes drink you in, your skin looking soft as butter in the dim lighting.
"Let me go change." Jeongguk hums to you before licking his lips. He wasn't nervous or afraid to look at you, he didn't hate himself for it. Because, it was you. You rush off to the bathroom as Jeongguk walks over to the liquor cabinet. His eyes flutter closed and for once his eyelids were just black. No Lee. No smile. No frown. Nothing. He stumbles backwards as he gasps before his eyes open wide.
"Lee?" He calls gently before closing his eyes again. There was nothing. And, this is what he was most afraid of. His tattooed hand grasps the wooden counter of the bar before choking on his own spit.
"Jeongguk? You okay?" You ask as his legs shake.
"She-I...I don't-'' He shuts his eyes once more before a ball begins to form in his throat, it's form ever expanding as his knuckles turn white from clasping the table so hard.
"She left me." He whispers before opening his eyes and looking at you.
"Hey." You whisper calmly to him, your feet taking ginger steps towards him as he whimpers.
"She left me!" There was a small sob before a large one. His innocent eyes glossing over with tears as he grabs at his black t-shirt above his heart.
"Jeongguk. Sit down." You say putting your hand on his arm gently. He rips his arm away from your grasp before faltering as he knocks the whisky bottle onto the floor.
"Hey!" The concern in your voice reaches his ears as he falls into the seat you were previously sat in. His eyes were like a wild animals, flitting here and there while trying to grasp onto a thought.
"Jeongguk. Do you need me to call my boss?" Jeongguk gasps as he leans back in his seat.
"Don't! Don't do that." You could see his hairline beginning to sweat as you crouch down in front of him.
"I think you're having a panic attack. Just take a deep breath. In through your nose and out through your mouth." You've had a few panic attacks in your time. It wasn't always cushy like it is now to work in this industry.
Jeongguk takes a deep breath, his body visibly shaking as he stares down at you.
“Just focus on something, let your mind begin to process.” You whisper running your thumb comfortingly over his bare knee through the cuts in his jeans. Jeongguk groans as he feels dizziness encumbering his mind, but he couldn’t close his eyes for fear that she wouldn’t be there. His eyes fall to your hand on his knee, he focuses on how soothing your thumb feels. How soft and delicate the touch you’re giving him is. You give him a small smile, eyebrows still knit with concern as he looks back up at you.
“What color is my shirt?” You ask him quietly before pulling at the fabric.
“Purple.” He whispers before taking a deep breath into his lungs as if his body was finally allowing him to breathe again.
“Good.” Then there was silence for a while besides Guk’s heavy breathing. That was alright with you, as long as he felt better. He has only come three times before this and each time he came things were slowly becoming more relaxing.
You would talk for long hours, sipping on whatever alcohol you decided on at the start of the session. You would laugh with each other, listen to how Jeongguk’s day went. You told him things you enjoy too like the beach and going to the seaside to fish with your dad. He told you about his nieces and nephews last time and it warmed your heart to see him smiling so widely when he talked about them. He was always happy talking about others but never about himself, you noticed. He never mentioned women or anything of that nature and that was okay with you too. Everything was very relaxing when you were with each other, like nothing else even mattered outside of this hotel room. Jeongguk flexes his fingers realizing they were numb only seconds ago.
“I-I’m sorry.” He mumbles before putting his hands over his face, his palms becoming drenched in sweat as he leans back into the chair.
“Nothing to apologize for.” His fast beating heart begins to slow as he lets out an exhale.
“Do you want to talk about it?” You ask gently before standing up. Jeongguk looks up at you as he moves his hands away before clearing his throat.
“Sit on my lap.” He whispers and you gasp gently.
“What?” He’s never asked something like this before.
“Sit on me.” You look at him hesitantly before slowly sitting down on his thick thighs. His strong arms wrap around your figure, his arms interlocking with each other as he lets out a slow breath. You sit still, eyeing him wearily as he looks up at you nervously.
“Okay.” He mumbles before slowly closing his eyes. The back of his eyelids were still black. He sighs deflated before letting you go.
“You can get up.” You stand up off of him before tilting your head.
“I have to go.” He whispers before standing, his eyes don’t look towards you again as he rushes to the door. “Jeongguk!” He was gone.
Tumblr media
He had you sit on him to see if Lee would come back, but she didn’t that night. He went to sleep without a single dream. His unconscious mind reveling in the back wasteland of dreamspace. But, she did come back when he was black out drunk. He would have conversations with her as he lay sloped up against the wall of his room.
“Don’t fucking l-look at me like that, babe.” He slurs to Lee as she sits in the chair across from his bed.
“Koo, you have to let me go.” Jeongguk laughs loudly, the whisky in the bottle he holds sloshes around as he shakes.
“Let you go?! You left me!” Lee sits silently, hands on her knees as her black hair falls in rivets over her shoulder.
“I didn’t choose to leave you.” Jeongguk scoffs before gulping down the alcohol.
“I’m not talking about when you fucking died, baby. I’m talking about when I went to see Y/N.” Lee’s lips press into a hard line as she leans back in the armchair.
“Because you don’t need me when Y/N is there. She can take good care of you.”
“YOU’RE FUCKING DEAD! WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT KNOWING WHAT I NEED?!” Jeongguk’s voice is a sharp, loud cry as he widens his drunken eyes at his dead girlfriend. He scoffs before holding the liquor bottle close to his body as he folds his legs underneath him. There was a quick knock at his door before the door went flying open.
“What’re you screaming about at three o’clock in the morning?” Hoseok asks his younger brother before noticing just how drunk Jeongguk is. The way his body is slumped over against his headboard, black hair in his eyes so he could barely see.
“Guk.” Hoseok mutters before stepping inside and shutting the door so as to not disturb anyone. Jeongguk didn’t realize he was crying until now, tears rolled off his jawline before leaving dark wet spots on his light grey sweatpants. Hoseok takes a seat where Lee was just sitting before looking at the drunk younger man.
“She fucking left me. Y’know? I go see Y/N, what, four fucking times and Lee just abandons me.” Hoseok gives a gentle sigh before running his hands through his hair.
“Maybe she left you because that’s healthy and you need healthiness.” Jeongguk laughs before taking another swig of whisky.
“That’s what she said.” He mumbles, his tone warped with pain as he slams his head into the iron bed frame. Hoseok leans forward before grabbing the bottle of liquor and putting it on the floor.
“This isn’t healthy. You’re a mess. If it helped you so much to see Y/N, you should go back and see her.” You probably hate him after seeing him at his weakest.
“No. I don’t want to see her again.” He was afraid, afraid to be at such peace with you. Afraid to be able to smile.
Jeongguk sits at the meeting table. His feet up on the table as Jimin’s wife slaps him upside the head.
“Just bought the table, feet down.” She mumbles before pulling on her cigarette. He mutters an apology her way as the rest of the guys enter the metal room. Namjoon enters with a cheery smile, his dimples deep as he pulls his gun out before presenting it on the table.
“Oh! Jaebeom went to go see Y/N, thanks for the suggestion.” Jeongguk takes a deep breath before taking his feel off the table and staring at the t.v. screen above him.
“She’s pretty, no?” Jimin’s wife asks as Jeongguk’s knee begins to bounce.
“That’s what he says. He also says, she has a nice mouth for sucking cock.”
“Stop it.” Jeongguk mumbles loud enough for Namjoon to hear drawing his attention to the younger member. Was this jealousy burning through his veins at a quick pace? He wasn’t even sure what the emotion was that filled him, but anger accompanied it. If it wasn’t for the black tattoos on his neck, it would surely be beet red.
“You went to see her too, right Guk?! Man, I’m fucking telling you, Jae says those tits she has-” Jeongguk pulls his gun out of the back of his pants before aiming it at his older brother.
“I said stop. Don’t fucking talk about her!”
“WHOA!” Jimin yells upon entering as Namjoon holds his hands up, backing his chair up into the corner of the room.
“Don’t fucking go tell anyone to see her! Tell him don’t look at her! Don’t touch her! Don’t you dare!” Jeongguk yells as he cocks the gun.
“Easy, Guk. Easy.” Jimin whispers before stepping in front of Jeongguk’s gun.
“Just because it’s her job doesn’t mean she likes it. When she was younger, she wanted to be a painter but no one would accept her into their colleges. Do you know that? She likes to go to the beach to feel the sand between her toes because it keeps her grounded. And, you have the fucking audacity to talk about her fucking dick sucking skills?! She isn’t someone you can easily talk about like this! She’s a fucking person! With feelings! She was there for me when I had a fucking panic attack. She took care of me. Don’t fucking talk about her!” Jimin slowly waves his hands as Jeongguk begins to foam at the sides of his mouth.
“Alright. Jaebeom or anyone else here won’t go and see her. You have my word. Put the gun down.” Jimin was being gentle with him, Jeongguk recognizes his tone of voice as his wife rubs at Guk’s upper back. Jeongguk uncocks the gun before clearing his throat and leaving the room without another word.
Tumblr media
Jeongguk stares at the bloody dirt of his warehouse, for once his warehouse was empty. It was dead quiet, you could hear a pin drop. He had left the mansion for a few days, just sleeping in the back of his car while he stayed out here. His mind was fucking him over, this much was certain. He left you in that hotel room and he felt guilty about it. He also felt guilty about feeling the need to have Lee around him when she wasn’t even on this plane of existence anymore. More than anything, he can’t help but think about your smile. How warm it is, how comforting it feels to have his eyes on you smiling widely. He remembers how soft your skin looks, how he would have been okay with you staying in that little amount of clothing before his panic attack. He remembers how soothing your thumb was on his skin. Jeongguk sighs before looking up at the wooden rafters of the ceiling.
“Koo.” His breathing stops as he closes his eyes.
“Lee.”
“Why don’t you go and see her?” Jeongguk’s eyes begin to burn, he sniffles before pulling up his black hood and looking at his dead girlfriend.
“I can’t.” A broken sob rips through his chest as he hangs his head low.
“She probably misses you, you can’t be locked up in your own head anymore. I’m gone.” Jeongguk wails loudly putting his hands over his face.
“I know. I’m just so afraid for you to leave.”
“I’ll always be with you, in your heart. In your memories. But, it’s time to move on. You like her, I know you do. It’s okay to like someone else that isn’t me, Koo.” He scoffs as he pulls down his sleeves to make sweater paws. His sleeves meet his eyes as he sobs.
“She probably fucking hates me. I left her there all alone.”
“Look at me.” Jeongguk timidly lifts his head, his hands pushing his hair out of the way as he sniffles. Lee was in front of the table looking down at him.
“You deserve to be happy, Koo. You deserve to smile. You deserve to feel no awkwardness or fear.” He whimpers at Lee’s words as his bottom lip quivers.
“Go and be happy. She makes you feel better.”
“What am I going to do without you?” He asks, his voice cracking as he holds his arms out to her.
“You’re going to smile.”  In an instant, she was gone. Lee’s form fades away in a sudden breeze that chills Jeongguk to the bone. He shivers before closing his eyes and swallowing. She wasn’t there either.
“Lee?!” No answer but the sounds of birds chirping outside the warehouse. Jeongguk buries his face in his lap before taking a deep breath. Lee left him, after all these years. She just disappeared, to prove that Jeongguk didn’t need her anymore. He didn’t need to depend on her when you were around. He smiled and laughed, he felt relief. Felt at home. He clears his throat before pulling out his almost dead cell phone from his back pocket. He scrolls through his contacts before putting his forehead to the lip of the table as the phone rings. “Jina. Is Y/N working?”
Jeongguk steps out of the elevator on the seventh floor before looking down at Junkwon.
“She’s with someone.” He tells Jeongguk as he walks towards 732.
“Open the door.” His voice is brisk as he stares at the three gold numbers that hang on the door. He could hear moaning inside the room before cracking his neck.
“I can’t Jeongguk, I’m sorry.” Jeongguk sighs before pulling out his wallet and pulling out a few hundred bucks.
“Go away.”
“You can’t just-” Jeongguk shoves the money into Junkwon’s semi-open hand before pulling out his gun.
“Go away.” Junkwon counts the money before sighing and walking down the hallway.
“Don’t hurt her.” Junkwon calls to Guk as he rings for the elevator.
“Never.” Jeongguk shoves the door open. He takes you into his sights, you were on your knees jerking off some random guy. You looked bored and unamused before looking over and gasping. Jeongguk points his gun to the guy.
“Get out.” “Jeongguk!” Jeongguk walks over, cocking his gun before grabbing your robe and throwing it at you.
“You heard me? Get out.” The man scoffs before standing up and pulling up his boxers.
“Hey man! I paid a lot of money for this!” You haphazardly put the robe on before stepping away from your client.
“Jina will pay you back. Get out. I’m asking nicely.” You look up at Jeongguk, his black hair is fixed behind his ears. His domineering persona was something you’ve never seen before and you can’t say it didn’t intrigue you as you lean against the wooden table.
“Okay! Okay! I’m going. Shit.” Jeongguk watches as the man fumbles to get his pants up from around his ankles. His eyebrow raises as the guy looks at you before stepping in front of your small figure.
“Don’t fucking look at her. Get out. Now.” The man grabs his dress shirt before running out the hotel room door and slamming it behind him. Jeongguk uncocks his gun before putting it in the back of his pants.
“Hi?” You say before sitting down on the edge of the bed.
“Hi.” Jeongguk whispers before sitting down next to you. You sigh before looking at him out of the corner of your eye, taking in the way his black hoodie was two times too big for him. It was endearing.
“Feel better?” You ask quietly as Jeongguk closes his eyes.
“I do now.” You hum playfully before laying back on the bed.
“That was hot.” You tell him as he turns towards you. He snorts before laying down beside you.
“What was hot?”
“Defending my honor like I don’t do this for a living.” Jeongguk chuckles openly before turning on his side to look at you. His warm brown eyes bore into yours before fingering at the white duvet cover.
“I’m sorry I left that day.” How could you hold a grudge against him when he looks like this. His big doe eyes gazing into yours only shows how guilty he actually feels about it.
“Wanna talk about it?”
“Yes, I do.” His answer surprises you, he normally says no or looks away quite quickly.
“Oh! Okay! Let me put some clothes on!” You go to sit up and Jeongguk’s arm cages you down onto the bed.
“No, stay.” You take a deep inhale before turning on your side to face him. “Alright.”
Jeongguk gives you a small smile, the corners of his mouth quirk up as he stares at you.
“You’re very beautiful.” Your cheeks heat up pink at his compliment, he's always looked at you like you were pretty but he's never said a thing before.
"Thank you. You too." Jeongguk chuckles before laying his head down on the pillow. He clears his throat before taking off his sweater and throwing it elsewhere. His white tank top reveals all of his tattoos up to his chest and you can't help but look at the tasteful designs he has printed on himself. They look great on his honey colored skin.
"I don't want to keep running away from you anymore. I like you. I just have some...undealt with issues." He takes some time before completing his sentence but you stay quiet as if to tell him to keep going if he chooses to do so.
"Do you like me?" He asks, tilting his head into the pillow.
"I do." You tell him honestly, making him smile.
"Okay, good." You giggle at his beaming smile before he looks off past you.
"Don't get...I don't know weirded out when I tell you my story." You nod to him before putting your arm under the pillow getting comfortable. He was different now, he was uncertain, sure. But, he was nervous or anxious to look at you. He wasn't fidgety and making himself uncomfortable, he was just him. And, it's really nice to see that.
"Years ago I had a girlfriend-" Jeongguk clears his throat before sitting up suddenly, "-her name was Lee. I loved her, a lot. She was the first person I fell in love with. Um…" He looks down at his legs as he rubs his hands over his sweatpants. You put your hand on his knee before sitting up, your head tilts to the side as you watch him struggle to swallow.
"Fuck. Fuck! Sorry." You shake your head as he takes a deep breath.
"So, yeah, I loved her and she lived in the house I live in with my crew. One day I came home and called out for her and she wasn't answering me. Me and my boss, Jimin, he's been my best friend since we were younger. We ran upstairs and there were little drops of blood on the floor." You close your eyes as Jeongguk clears his throat again before squinting.
"She was dead. In our room. Another gang had killed her and did stuff to her body." You put your hand over your mouth as he struggles to go on.
"That was a long time ago, but she stayed with me. Like, a ghost. I would see her every night in my dreams and when I closed my eyes. She was always there. And, it started to get out of hand. I was drinking a lot and I was very angry. Guilty. I was so guilty. Y'know? What if I got home just ten minutes or twenty minutes before I did. What would have happened? It ate me alive, then I would see her and feel this fucking weight pushing down my goddamn chest every second of the fucking day. Everyone around me was getting married and falling in love and I was stuck in this sick little fucking sand glass that kept flipping over when the last piece of sand was about to fall." Jeongguk sighs loudly before looking at you, his hand grabs your wrist before pulling it away from your eyes.
"But, then. I met you. And, I really liked you because you made me feel comfortable and I didn't feel like this anxious wreck anymore. But, I got scared because before you Lee was painted on the back of my eyelids every second of the day. After I met you she started to fade. Then she left me completely, that was the day I had the panic attack. I felt frightened because she wasn't with me anymore and I-I was so used to it that it made me terrified. I felt guilty that I pushed her away or something. But, I felt even more guilty that I might have pushed you away. That I fucked up my chance for you to like me when I left you that day. Lee was a big part of me that left because you made me feel safe. You make me feel comfortable. And I-I really l-like you. I want to get to know you and not have to feel guilty or worried anymore. I just want to be able to be myself and smile again. You make me smile."
Jeongguk presses his lips together after he's done talking and he notices how glossy your eyes have become during his talk. You nod to him before giving him a small smile. You lean forward before enveloping him in a hug, he feels his body relax and he didn't even know that he was tense. His arms snake around you before hugging you back. You could feel how fast his heart is beating through his chest as he holds you tightly.
"You make me smile, too." Warmth starts to seep through him, starting at his heart and spreading through his limbs as he holds you close. Jeongguk pulls back before brushing some stray wisps of hair behind your ear.
"I'm going to kiss you." You nod at his chivalry before closing your eyes. He takes this moment to look over your features, how soft and angelic you look in this lighting. He thumbs his finger over your bottom lip before leaning in and kissing you slowly.
His kiss was soft and sensual. A small jolt of electricity runs through you as he places one hand to the back of your neck. You would never have assumed this drop dead handsome man could kiss like this. His tongue licks over your bottom lip and it produces a fire in your belly.
A gasp emits from you, mouth opening as your nerve endings tingle. Jeongguk takes the opportunity to slip his tongue into your mouth. His tongue, tasting and caressing every inch of you before mingling your tongue with him. His hand pulls you closer, his instinct to have you close makes you mewl as you grab onto his tattooed arms. He pulls away, only to take large breaths to fill his lungs before diving back in. His hands find your hips before flipping you onto him.
His back hits the mattress with a thud as you lean down to smother him with more kisses. His large hands trail downward. The feel of satin wraps him in a cloud of pure pleasure as his hands come to rest on your ass cheeks. He groans into your mouth and the sound is so intoxicating that you feel your core seeping with liquid pleasure.
"You're so fucking gorgeous." He whispers as you kiss down his neck, your teeth gently biting at his smooth skin. Jeongguk's hips buck upwards as his eyes close. Behind his eyes all he can see is you, the image of you above him is a welcome sight photographed onto the back of his lids. You tug at his shirt and it brings him back to reality as he opens his eyes. He sits up only to tug off the white article of clothing. Your eyes marvel at his tattooed chest, the way the planes of his eight pack highlight each tattoo perfectly. Jeongguk grabs at the robe belt before pulling it undone. He takes a sharp inhale of breath before looking up at your eyes.
"Are you sure?" You ask quickly, his blown out pupils shake as he chuckles. "Kiss me, baby."
You can do nothing but oblige as his hands begin to trail over your bare thighs. His fingertips knead at your skin as he sits up. You wrap your legs around his waist before feeling how hard he is underneath you. A gentle mewl leaves your lips as he kisses down your neck with heated fervor.
"Feel how hard my cock is for you?" Your arms wrap around his neck as your head lolls back. Jeongguk playfully nips at your bust line before groaning as you thrust your hips to his.
"I'm going to cum in my pants if you keep doing that."
"You feel so hard." Jeongguk smiles against your skin before kissing at your cheek.
"All for you, baby." This was serious whiplash. You could never have expected this. Jeongguk flips you over with ease, his thick thighs pining you underneath him as his lips lazily traipse down your chest.
His hand snakes underneath you before taking a moment to unhook your bra. It was clumsy but he was determined to do it with one hand.
"It's been a while." His admission makes you giggle as he finally unhooks your bra. Jeongguk groans as he throws your bra onto the floor. Your nipples become stiff at his longing stare.
"Fuck." His warm lips envelope one, his tongue flicking at the sensitive skin as you whimper out his name. Something possessive flits across his gaze as he stares up at you. His fingers trail your thighs before swiping up your soaked panties. You could feel how they stick to you, almost embarrassing soaked.
"Say that again, baby. Say my name again." He rubs your clit through your underwear. The silken fabric feels amazing against your sensitive nub as you moan out.
"Jeongguk." He hums before bending down and pecking your lips.
"That's right. That's who you belong to now. And, I don't share." Is he telling you to quit your job? You don't have much time to dwell on it, though as his fingers hook into the sides of your panties before peeling them off of you. The cool air of the room berates your sodden cunt as your skin produces goosebumps.
"Look how wet you are, baby. Soaked." His voice is that of wonder as he spreads your legs wide. His tongue licks at his lips as if he's seen a feast in a great banquet.
"Please." You whimper as he bows his body down.
"What do you want?" His lips kiss at your pubic bone, teasingly slow kisses litter your skin and upper thighs as he intertwines both of your hands locking them to your sides.
"I want you to touch me." Jeongguk looks up at you, his black hair beginning to stick to his forehead as he smirks.
"Want me to touch you like everyone else that comes in this room? You think you deserve it, baby?" You wiggle your hips, trying to thrust them towards him.
Your cunt was aching, a dull pounding reverberates through your lower half as you bite your bottom lip. "Your pussy is soaked and I haven't even started. What does that say about you?" You gasp as he kisses your clit.
"Jaebeom was in this room not too long ago. You remember him? He touched your pretty little pussy I bet. You think you deserve my touch?" Jeongguk gives a flat swipe with his tongue to your pussy, your body sags into the bed as he pulls away.
"Fuck, you taste good."
"I'll be good! Please!" Jeongguk chuckles before suckling at your pussy lips.
"Please, Daddy." His tongue gives two quick licks to your clit before blowing on your pussy. Your cunt quivers and throbs as the ache begins to drive you insane.
"Please, Daddy! Please!" Your hands are squeezing his so tightly, he wonders where you get the strength from for it. "Good girl."
His lips suckle at your clit, his teeth rake gently against the sensitive nub as you moan loudly for him. He hums in agreement as you lift your hips to buck up into him wanting to feel more. He lets your hands go only to push your hips back down into the bed.
"You taste fucking good, baby girl." He relishes in how fucked out you look already and he hasn't even made you cum yet. He was good at this sort of thing, this sexual torture. He revels in it.
"Fuck!" Jeongguk smirks before teasing your entrance. His finger slowly enters you as your head falls back.
"Nuh uh. Watch me. Watch me eat your pussy so well." You whimper, fingers gripping at his black hair as he curls his finger inside of you.
"Jeongguk!" He likes when you call his name so he takes pity on you and adds a second finger. Your walls begin to flutter, your orgasm approaching at a high speed.
"I-I'm gonna cum!" He pulls away as you whine out.
"Tell me what you're mine and that you won't share and I'll let you cum."
"What?!" You pull at his head but he doesn't budge.
"Tell Daddy that you're his and his only." He enters his two fingers into you again. Slowly pumping them in as your clit throbs.
"Daddy, please! I w-want to cum!" Jeongguk hums before spitting on your pussy.
"That's not what I want to hear." You keen for him as he soothes your clit with a gentle suckle.
"I'm yours, Daddy! Yours only." Jeongguk sits up before looking at you with passive eyes.
"Yeah, you are and you better remember that, baby girl." You moan loudly as he begins to flick quickly at your clit. His fingers fucking into you so fast it almost knocks the wind out of your lungs. His fingers curl, finding that one spot inside of you that has you melting into the bed. Your orgasm comes back and full throttle as you whinge.
"Daddy, please! I'm going to cum." Jeongguk moans as he feels your walls coax him.
"Cum for me." As if he has given you the right to do so, you orgasm for him. Your eyes fill with spots as your thigh tremble with pleasure.
"Good girl." He pulls away from your clit, his fingers slowing as you come down from your high. You looked gloriously fucked out before him, thighs and cunt still twitching as you lick at your swollen, kissed lips. He pulls his fingers out of you and you mewl at the loss before lifting your head. "We aren't done here. I'll fill your needy cunt, baby girl. Don't worry about that."
Jeongguk stands up tall, his hands pulling down his sweatpants as you sit up on your elbows. His cock springs out, slapping his stomach and smearing it with precum that seems to be oozing like a never ending waterfall. His tip was an angry red as he strokes at his long length. Okay, you knew he was hard before but this, this is impressive. He had the length and the girth that has your mouth watering as you look up at him through your lashes. He chuckles at your surprise before sitting up on the bed, back resting against the headboard. His hand lazily strokes his cock before tilting his head at you.
"Come suck on Daddy's cock." You're quick to scramble in front of him, your body falling between his open legs as he stares down at you. He nods his head simply before letting his cock go.
"No hands." He says as you go to grasp him. You lean down, swirling your tongue around the tip earning a sigh from him as he grasps your hair into a makeshift ponytail.
"Suck Daddy's cock better than you did Namjoon hyungs." With pleasure. You swirl your tongue around the base before bobbing your head up and down with quick movements.
"Oh fuck." Jeongguk's teeth clench as he watches your cheeks hollow out. You gag on his cock, spittle and tears streaming down your face as you look up at him.
"That's a good girl. Choking on my big cock like some cum slut." You whimper against him, his eyes falling between your legs as your arousal and cum drip down your thighs.
"This is the only cock you'll be sucking so you better take good care of it." You moan against him and Jeongguk's eyes flutter shut. You gag on him once more and he taps at your throat.
"Take it in." You whimper quietly before relaxing your throat for him. Wanting to do nothing but please him as he looks back down at you. You nestle your nose against his bare pubic bone earnings a hum from Guk.
"Good girl, baby." He tugs at your hair gently, testing the waters only to be rewarded with a whine.
"Mmm. Fuck. You like that? Like being pulled like a little fucking rag doll? Hmm?" He pulls harder and you moan against him, the reverberation has his cock thrusting gently into your throat.
"You're so fucking pretty choking on my cock like this." He pulls your head up, before pushing it back down on his member. His toes curling in pleasure as he groans.
He does this a few more times gently before beginning to thrust into your throat. "Fuck! That's it! Take this cock baby girl. No one else gets to fuck this throat but Daddy. You hear me?" You moan for him as his cock begins to throb.
"I'm going to cum down your throat and you're going to swallow and show me that you're a good little girl that can follow instructions." You grab at his thighs as he puts his hand around your throat, squeezing gentle as he feels his cock pumping in and out of you. That's all he needs before he's groaning loudly.
"Oh Y/N, shit! I'm cumming!" The way he moans your name has you fueled with desire, you greedily guzzle his cum as he streams ropes down your throat.
"Fuck, baby! Fuck." Jeongguk gasps, his head lolling back as he eases up on your head. You pull off of him before showing him your empty mouth. He hums before wrinkling his nose and leaning up to kiss you.
"Good." He lays you down before twirling his finger. "Get going."
You flip over, face down and ass up as Jeongguk slaps your ass. "Who do you belong to?" You moan as he soothes the rub, "You, Daddy." Jeongguk kisses down your back before spanking you again.
"That's right. Good girl." You whimper as his slaps get stronger.
"You let Namjoon hyung cum in your pussy?" His question sounds rhetorical but you answer him anyway.
"No Daddy, everyone uses condoms." Jeongguk hums at the information before running his cock through your soaked lips. You moan gently burying your face on the mattress.
"Does Daddy have to use a condom? Is baby girl on birth control?"
"Yes, Daddy. I want you to fill me, show me I'm yours." Jeongguk takes a sharp breath between his teeth before smiling.
"Aren't you just a perfect little girl, hmm?" You smile at his praise before rubbing your pussy on his cock. Jeongguk groans before stilling your hips.
“Be good, don’t make me punish you. I just became your boyfriend, don’t make me scare you off.” You laugh at his comment and he chuckles in response before bending over you and kissing you softly. He prods the weeping head of his cock to your entrance before slowly pushing in.
Your mouth opens with a groan as he stretches you, “Thank Daddy for his big cock.” You whimper as Jeongguk buries himself to the hilt. Your cunt begins to accommodate the intrusion by relaxing on him.
“Thank you Daddy.” He moans gently, his fingers gripping at your hips so hard you know you’ll bruise by tomorrow morning. But, fuck if it doesn’t feel good. He pulls out, his eyes marveling at how sodden his cock has become with your arousal before thrusting back in slowly.
“Fuck, you’re so wet on Daddy’s cock. Jesus Fucking Christ.” You moan loudly, your fingers gripping at the white sheets as you spread your knees wider wanting more. Jeongguk thrusts harder, his power would send you up the bed if he didn’t have such a tight grasp on you.
“So tight on me, baby girl. Like your pussy was made for me.” Your eyes roll back as he begins to bulldoze inside of you. Your thighs quake at the pleasure as Jeongguk wraps his hand around the back of your neck pulling your body back onto his cock.
“Fuck, you feel so good. Such a cum hungry slut.” You moan loudly, as he picks your body up to press flush against his chest. His fingers toy with your nipples, plucking and rolling the stiff peaks between his fingertips as he suckles harshly on your neck. He paints your neck with pretty red and pink patches before burying his forehead in the crook of your neck.
“Mine. All mine.”
“Yes, Daddy! Yours! Fuck! Your cock feels so good!” This angle is perfect for your pleasure as the bulbous head of his cock brushes against your g-spot.
“Yeah? Shit, you feel good on Daddy’s cock, baby girl. Daddy’s gonna cum in your little pussy and claim what’s his.”  His words goad you on to your next orgasm as his fingers open your pussy lips before rubbing at your soaked clit. You sob loudly, head lolling back on his shoulder as he clasps his arm around your waist holding you in place as he fucks you to his liking.
“Such a pretty little thing getting fucked right open. You’re going to take my cum nice and deep. Hmm? Walk around with my cum running down your legs so everyone knows who you belong to?” You grip at his hair as you feel your second orgasm approaching.
“Yes. Fuck! Yes! I want people to see you drip down my legs.” Jeongguk lets out an almost inhuman groan as he kisses across your jawline. Your pussy begins to flutter around him, the action making his cock throb.
“Daddy, gonna cum. Can I?” Jeongguk could fucking die right now and he’d be pleased.
“Cum on my cock baby. You deserve it.” You moan loudly, ears ringing as you orgasm. Your cum coats the bed and Jeongguk can only choke on a moan as he looks down.
“Fuck, you’re so hot. Christ.” Your cunt begins to milk him in the aftershock of your orgasm, Jeongguk’s grip on you tightens as he moans.
“I’m cumming. Fuck. Take it like a good girl. Take it deep.” He gasps loudly before stilling inside of you, his warm seed filling you as he gives a few more short thrusts before gripping you tightly and falling onto the bed.
You giggle before closing your eyes as he kisses the back of your head. “Turn and smile for me.” You raise an eyebrow before turning with a genuine smile.
“I love that. You’re so beautiful when you smile.” He wrinkles his nose once more before kissing you gently. His teeth gently nipping at your bottom lip lovingly before sighing. Jeongguk pulls out of you before looking down at the mess your pussy makes as his cum floods out.
“Fuck, look at that.” He murmurs before smirking. You lay on your back, eyes taking in his tattoo riddled body before smiling. Who knew the nervous man you met a while ago would turn into this. Jeongguk stands with a before hearing feet outside the door. He’s quick to grab his gun from the floor and cock it at the door as you raise an eyebrow.
“Who?!” Jeongguk yells walking over to the liquor cabinet, his eyes still trained on the door.
“Junkwon.”
“Fuck off.” Jeongguk calls back before uncocking his gun and putting it on the wooden table.
“You’re kinda hot Jeon Jeongguk.” You tell him as you sit up against the headboard. He gives a whole hearted laugh, his back muscles tensing and releasing as he pours two glasses of whisky.
“You’re kinda hot too, baby.” He turns back to you, eyes glued to your cum laden pussy before pointing at you.
“I meant what I said. You’re mine. No one else's.” You sigh gently before closing your legs.
“This is my job.” Jeongguk clicks his teeth before walking the expanse of the floor and handing you the whisky glass.
“We’ll find you something else to do. Jimin’s wife was supposed to be a maid and look where she is now. She can teach you how to be a vixen like she is.” Jeongguk presses his lips to your temple before pulling your naked body to his. You ponder this for a second, you had told him before you never wanted to do this but it paid well. And, you trust him enough to not lead you down the wrong path. “Alright.”
Tumblr media
You stand with Jeongguk in his bedroom, his eyes flitting to the green dress he bought Lee that many years ago on the day she was murdered.
"You don't have to do this, you know. I understand." You whisper to your fiance as you hug his broad back. His hand rubs comforting strokes at your arms around his waist before turning to you.
"Yes, I do. I've moved on. I'm happy. We've been together for two years. It's time for this to go." You look over at the dress before looking up into his doe eyes. Although one is black and bruised from a fight he got into not long ago because someone looked at you too sexually they still had this innocent look to them. A look that melts your heart as he opens up your bedroom door. He holds his hand out and you take it without a second thought. He leads you down the hallway and down the staircase as you both pass Jimin's wife.
"What're you doing?" She asks, raising an eyebrow as Jeongguk balls up the green dress.
"Tying up loose ends." She hums in confusion before shrugging.
"Have fun, meeting in thirty minutes. Y/N, I expect you to be there."
"Yes ma'am!" You call back to her as Jeongguk continues to pull you.
Jeongguk wraps his arm around your waist as you walk out into the garden. Your feet feel the green blades of grass underfoot as you walk out to the firepit behind the row of rose bushes. Jeongguk looks up at the orange sky before sighing.
"Baby-" He throws the dress into the pit without another word before grabbing a book of matches from his pants pocket. He lights a match before throwing it into the fire pit and looking at you.
"I love you, baby girl."
"I love you, too." He sits down on the stone bench before patting his thighs. You sit on him sideways, your arms wrapping around his neck as he leans his cheek against your breast. He watches the green fabric blacken as it scorches to nothingness. He was finally happy, he was finally safe within the confines of someone's heart and he couldn't ask for anything more. He rocks you gently as you run your fingers through his hair. Lee never came back to visit him. Not in his dreams or anywhere else. But, he didn't need her to, he found his own happiness.

Following the little Easter ‘event’...

- Has to clear his throat before he nearly chokes
- Shakes his head at MC with a smirk, tutting to her
- “Need some attention, do you?”
- Discards his papers to one side, leans back in his chair and points at his lap
- “Come here then, beautiful.” He grins as he loosens his tie
Mammon:
- when MC comes out of their shared bathroom and leans against the door frame in her outfit, Mammon drops whatever he held in his hands
- His face goes really red but he has a massive cheeky grin on his face
- “What’cha doin’ there, Princess?”
- Gets up from the bed when MC stays in her place
- His eyes gawp at her body as he steps across the room toward her
- Can’t keep his hands off her. He can’t wait to be dominated by this sexy bunny!
Levi:
- does a double take when MC appears in the room dressed as a sexy bunny
- He blushes like crazy but he can’t take his eyes off her
- Has a little mischievous smile on his face as his eyes trail up and down her figure
- He almost starts shaking when MC begins sauntering toward him
- His heart beats like crazy! And his eyes go absolutely huge
- Best. Night. He’s. Ever. Had.
Satan:
- as soon as he sees her, he sits back in his bed and places his hands behind his head, getting himself comfy
- Licks his lips as he stares at her from across the room
- He has a smirk on his face when MC begins to walk toward him
- “What have I done to deserve this?”
- As soon as she reaches the bed, his hands find her waist as he bites his lip
Asmo:
- oh you can bet Asmo is getting super dirty thoughts in his mind
- He can’t stop grinning at MC as she does a little twirl for him, showing off her little bunny tail
- “I think you should come over here MC so I can show you how much I love this outfit on you.”
- He can’t keep his hands off her
- Asmo pretty much worships her in the bunny costume
Beel:
- he blushes a little at first when MC enters the room but he can’t stop smiling at her
- Immediately gets off the bed and walks toward her
- Takes her by surprise when he throws her over his shoulder, spanking her on the butt
- Gets her onto the bed and crawls on top
- “Have you got any eggs too? If so, can I fertilise them?”
- “BEEL!”
- (also secretly sad MC didn’t bring any chocolate eggs)
Belphie:
- when he hears a knock at the door he thinks nothing of it
- But when MC slips in wearing this incredibly sexy bunny costume, she has his full undivided attention
- Watches her closely, admires every single curve of her body
- “Come here.” He grins, gesturing for her to join him on the bed
- “This” he speaks, gesturing to her costume “is very naughty” with a smirk
Diavolo:
- MC waits for him on their bed. She knows he’d be back soon from a meeting
- When he steps through the door he stops dead in his tracks seeing her laying across the bed. His eyes are super wide.
- Immediately begins undoing his uniform as he smirks to himself
- “You can’t expect me to come home and see you like that and not want to enjoy it?”
- After the night they have, MC makes a mental note to definitely keep the sexy bunny outfit!!🍆

You nod eagerly as you shut the menu in your grip, completely ignoring Reiji’s protests from beside you as the rest of the individuals seated around the table either watch in amusement or curiosity. “I believe there is always a three special course meal that changes every day according to the chef, we’d absolutely love that.”
At the sight of Reiji’s features scrunched up in horror, you inwardly squealed in victory.
Tumblr media
Years have flown by, you’re both practically strangers at this point. Yes, strangers. Just two strangers who know every shameful secret, every hidden freckle, and even every fatal flaw in each other. Who were you kidding anyway? Six years have gone by just like that, but you knew it yourself, deep down that you still strongly cared for the man that now stood before you, his eyes the only thing you could focus on, not even the soft chatter of the other guests or the soft instrumental melody produced by the restaurant’s speakers could capture your attention and disrupt your thoughts. Mesmerized, that is what you are. What even.
It has been six years and to this day, he still completely steals your breath away.
Not that it should surprise you or anything. Despite everything, how he had hurt you back when you were both 17 and in your second year in senior high school back in 2013, or the hurtful words that spilled from his mouth from the running emotions that day back at the sports complex when the truth revealed itself, you couldn’t bring yourself to hate him or even be angry. You’ve thought of this a billion times since you left Hyōgo. You have imagined a billion scenarios, trying your best to prepare yourself because you knew. You knew that it was inevitable to stay hidden, to keep your secret hidden. A part of you always knew you were going to meet him again. Not that your reunion was delightful or anything. It was nowhere near such. No matter how many scenarios you created in your head, it had not been enough for you to prepare for any form of response.
You hadn’t realized it at first when you had met him on that day because of the emotions running high through your veins, but now, standing in front of him, your eyes drank him up completely. Of course, you notice the differences from six years ago. It wasn’t as if he was going to stay how he had been back then, nor was it difficult to notice the changes from the boy you used to adore. Looking at him now, it was clear as day that he had grown up from the charming boy next door to a breathtaking man that you can’t seem to tear your gaze away.
As your name rolls off of his tongue, you snap out of your trance, blinking a couple of times. Thankfully, you suppressed your emotions quick enough from allowing the warmth that wanted to creep across your cheeks. God, how embarrassing. Did he notice you were practically devouring him with your eyes? Hopefully not.
However, despite his handsome features, you are suddenly reminded of the last conversation that the two of you shared and it was enough for you to push your mushy thoughts to the very back of your head. Ah, right. You remembered now, before being distracted by Atsumu’s ridiculously handsome face, you were going to give Asuma and Reiji a good smack. If only you had known of this setup, you would have never agreed. Jumping back to reality, you were about to take a step back, wanting to leave the premises, only to be held back by Reiji, gripping onto your arm to stop you.
You were cut off from your protests, Reiji moving closer to whisper in your ear with the all too familiar tone he uses on you during arguments. Before he could even finish his sentence, you already knew that the excuses you have in mind were no use. There was no room for negotiations. “Stop being stubborn and sit down. Do this for your kids. It’s not like it’s a date or anything.”
Grumbling underneath your breath at how much of an ass he was, he only replies with a chuckle as he releases his grip on your arm, neither of you realizing the green-eyed monster’s gaze that followed the whole interaction. The two of your friends took their seats, greeting the rest of the party, while you’re left standing there before Atsumu. As you stood there face to face, you didn’t realize the two occupants around the table sharing hushed whispers amongst each other, berating each other for bringing other people along. Meeting his gaze once more, you give him a small nod, “Atsumu. Shall we then?”
He nods, his voice cracking slightly because of his nerves, “Yeah.”
However, as you turn to greet the rest of the party, you feel your shoulders grow tense at the realization of what your two friends did once again. They had occupied seats around the table, leaving the only available seats next to each other for you and Atsumu. If it’s one thing you hated, it was when your friends become the meddling monkeys that they are.
Not wanting to cause a scene, you inwardly groan and occupy the seat next to Reiji, leaving the seat next to you for Atsumu. In spite of your irritation, you find yourself flashing a half-hearted smile at the three across from you.
“Hi!” the one in the middle greets you happily with an enormous smile plastered across his face, “I’m Hinata, it’s nice to meet you.” He extends his arm across the table, holding out his hand for you to shake, which you gladly take.
“Nice to meet you too,” you respond with a nod of your head as you release your grip from his hand, just in time to retrieve the menu that the waiter had passed throughout the group. Flipping it open, you avoid the glances from Bokuto and Osamu, who looked as if they were itching an interaction from you, but because of your irritation, you definitely didn’t want to talk to them just yet, they probably had helped your friends in setting this up. “So Hinata-san, I’m assuming you're Bokuto’s teammate?” you ask before tearing your gaze away from his to examine the menu in your hands. You don’t notice the frown that briefly appeared on Atsumu’s lips.
“Oh, Hinata’s just fine!” he waves his hand with a laugh, “Yes, I’m Bokuto and Atsumu’s teammate. We actually wanted to bring our friend Sakusa here too, but he said he has an emergency at some hospital.”
"Hmm…" you hum, letting your eyes scan the menu, thinking you might as well enjoy the food, "Oh, I hope everything is okay with your friend Sakusa and it’s nothing too serious, but now that we're here, might as well enjoy and run Rei's wallet dry. Right, Rei?"
You tilt your head a bit, glancing over at Reiji from the corner of your eye with a sly smirk forming on your lips. Ah, the man could only let out a nervous chuckle, knowing full well what you were planning as he recalls a similar scenario a few months back in the very same restaurant that put a dent to his savings because of the ridiculous price of the meals you had ordered that night. Not tearing your gaze away from your best friend, you call for the waiter's attention, who quickly responds by walking over and pulling out his tiny notepad to jot down your table's order.
"Hello, I'm Daiki and I'll be your waiter for the night." He greets with a friendly smile, not realizing the awkward atmosphere among the group, "What will we be having?"
Clicking your tongue against the roof of your mouth, you give Reiji an innocent grin before turning your gaze over to the waiter to return his smile with your own, "Hello, Daiki. You see, my friends here aren't really sure what to order, but I told them not to worry since I've been here so many times, so I'll be ordering for everyone!"
"Excellent, ma'am!" He nods his head, matching your enthusiasm.
It was going to be a long night.
Tumblr media
Mayuzumi Asuma and Suwa Reiji were now considered dead.
To you, at least. And somehow, you knew that, despite them avoiding meeting your gaze alongside with the other three across from you who freely interacted with each other, they themselves knew what they were getting themselves into. They were digging their graves for this stunt they have pulled.
You’d got to give Reiji credit, though. Despite pushing his buttons by ordering everyone the high priced three course meal, he wasn’t his usually squirmy and irritating self. You had at least expected sharing a heated argument with him after such a display, but instead of giving in, he continued to pursue his plan with the others.
Oh, they think they were so slick, as if you hadn’t caught on with their little plan. Not a date, they say. It might as well be one, since they’re bluntly ignoring your attempts to converse with them. All was missing was some privacy. At first you hadn’t thought about it when you had tried to share a conversation with Hinata, it was only right for you to get to know someone; you were just being nice. However, before Hinata could respond to your question, Bokuto had dragged him into a conversation about volleyball. You brushed it aside, not thinking anything rude of it, as you knew Bokuto would often speak with anyone out of the blue. It was just how he is.
You hadn’t even thought about it the second time around when this time; you tried conversing with Osamu, wanting to know about how his business is going so far. Except, the conversation between you and Osamu never happened due to the fact that Asuma had cut you off mid-sentence, engaging the man in a ridiculous conversation about healthy diets. Like, what the heck was that all about? Asuma and healthy diets just don’t sit well with you. Nevertheless, you brushed it aside, shifting your attention to the first course meal of the night that had been placed before you.
They think they were so smart, trying to pull it off. Ah, but no. You had caught on with their little plan the third time around when you tried to join in Bokuto and Hinata’s conversation. You were instantly shot down by Reiji, shifting the conversation to another topic that only they could understand.
They were dead men. All of them.
Placing your chopsticks down, you turn your head towards Reiji’s direction with a false innocent smile curling upon your lips. “Reiji, dear.”
Ah there it was, catching the nervous bob of his Adam’s apple in this throat with your gaze. "Yeah?"
"I hope you know—”
Hinata cuts you off by standing up abruptly from his seat, waving frantically towards someone’s direction, “Ushijima-san!”
You blink before turning your head to look at whoever Hinata was waving to, catching a glimpse of a tall, muscular man nodding towards Hinata’s direction in greeting, a woman trailing close behind him. Not wanting to be rude, you return to your previous position to face Hinata that was seated across from you, “Was that the Ushijima Wakatoshi?”
Hinata nods as he sits back down, a huge smile on his face. “Yeah, I’m sure you know about him.”
“I suppose,” you lift your shoulders up in a shrug as you pick up your chopsticks once more, completely forgetting to reprimand Reiji’s actions much to his relief, “I was volleyball manager back then in high school, so I would know a few things, including some players.”
“Where did you go to school?” Hinata asks, tilting his head a bit as he looks at you curiously. You wonder, briefly, had Atsumu not mentioned you at all since the incident at the sports complex? Weird.
As you were about to reply, the man seated on your left answers for you. “She went to the same school as me, Shouyou-kun. She was our manager.”
Hinata stares at you for a second, blinking a couple of times before realization hits him, his eyes widening, “I remember you now! You were that pretty manager!”
The men around the table chokes and sputters their food, causing you to scrunch up your nose in disgust. Atsumu is first to respond after clearing his throat, “What? I mean, yeah. She was our pretty manager.”
“I remember her because it was the first time I saw Tsukishima look stupid over a girl,” Hinata chuckles, shaking his head. “But, how come I only saw you once? Were you a third year at the time?”
Suddenly, the tension was back in the air. You catch from the corner of your eye, Atsumu growing tense from Hinata’s question, and you had to fight the urge to show your own emotions. Everyone else was silent, probably waiting for you or Atsumu to answer. “Ah, I left high school towards the end of our second year, and moved to Kanagawa. I had my hands full at the time, so I didn’t return to high school.”
“But wh—” Hinata gets cut off by his own yelp, making you raise a brow in confusion. He turns his head towards Osamu’s direction, wincing slightly, “Osamu-san!”
Osamu lets out a laugh, not looking anywhere near apologetic. “Ah, sorry buddy. I was reaching over Bokuto but you were in the way.”
An awkward atmosphere engulfs around the table once more. This dinner was certainly not going according to Osamu and Reiji’s plan. Opting to avoid the awkward glances from the other individuals, you turn your attention over to focus on your food while Osamu and Reiji were sending glares towards each other once they realized your attention elsewhere. The two had talked with Atsumu earlier, devising a plan for the two of you to talk things through. Originally, Osamu suggested that the dinner should be just you and Atsumu, but Reiji declined such an idea because of two reasons. First, you would completely decline yourself to go to a dinner and leave Atsuhiro in the hospital despite your mother being present, Reiji knew you too well that the idea of dinner at a fancy restaurant without your sons was a big no. That is, unless a friend of yours were to force you by dragging you to the restaurant. And second, if you were to be left with Atsumu alone, Reiji fears that you would leave almost immediately.
And he was right for both. If he hadn’t dragged you here himself, you wouldn’t have bothered to go. And if he hadn’t stopped you earlier, you would have ran out the moment you saw Atsumu. However, they hadn’t expected this. Reiji hadn’t expected Osamu to bring two other people, while Osamu hadn’t expected that Reiji was going to bring someone else along. Yes, it was a disaster.
Reiji had opted to bring Asuma along, because he knew you were going to be suspicious if it were just the two of you going for dinner. You would have accused him of coddling you like a child, it was something he would do now and then when he wanted you to release all the emotions you had kept bottled up. It’s not that you didn’t appreciate him for it, he just knows that if he did such a thing during such an emotional time, you would push him away when Reiji wanted to speed things along. As much as Reiji disliked the father of his favorite twins, he wasn’t going to deprive the little boys any longer of the chance of finally getting to know their father. If he was going to force everything on you, he would do it. He, too, has grown tired of your decisions of run away.
Osamu on the other hand, only decided to accompany his brother himself but as he and his brother were leaving the apartment, the other two barged out of Bokuto’s room claiming to be starving from the lack of food the past couple of hours because of some intense gaming session on the PlayStation 4 that Bokuto brought along with. Not being quick on their feet, the twins had blurted out they were going out to eat. They unfortunately could not decline the two balls of sunshine.
Clearing his throat, hoping to shift the tension in the air. “Anyway,” Osamu starts before tearing his glaring gaze away from Reiji over to where Ushijima was seated across the room, “Who is that girl Ushijima is with?”
“She kinda looks familiar,” Bokuto hums, placing his chopsticks down after finishing his first course meal, shifting his gaze over to Ushijima’s table.
“That’s the heiress of the Akita Empire,” Asuma answers, “Pretty woman, she is. I didn’t know she was dating anyone.”
Hinata lets out a gasp of excitement, his eyes going wide. “I wonder if Ushijima-san is really dating her!”
“Maybe you can ask him at the party…” Bokuto suggests while the rest of his words are drowned out by you, growing bored with the night as you wonder when you can possibly leave.
Despite drowning out the conversation around the table and focusing on the food, Atsumu pulls you in with his voice from the side, “Hey, I’m sorry about this. I told Osamu and Reiji it was a bad idea from the start.”
Ah, so it was those two who had planned the whole thing out. You let out a sigh, turning your head to face him to answer, your voice low to keep the others out of the conversation, “There’s nothing that we can do now.”
“Would you have preferred that it was just the two of us?” he asks, hope laced in his voice.
Lightly nibbling on your bottom lip, you tear your gaze away from him. Did you? You actually wanted to talk to Atsumu after having the talk with your sons. You were going to express your disappointment towards Reiji and his plan full of flaws. Had they planned this for the two of you to talk? If so, this was stupid to begin with. Something so serious between the two of you and Atsumu should be discussed within private walls, and this was nowhere near private. So maybe, yes. Perhaps, if the two were you alone, then it would have been better. “I guess,” you finally admit, “Maybe the two of us can talk things through properly when this is over. I think it’s time. For now, I hope you can accept my apologies.”
“And I hope you accept m—”
Hinata’s loud voice booms excitedly, “Oh remember that party!”
The two of you snap your attention over to Hinata, the disappointment clear in your features for the disruption. What were they talking about? However, curiosity gets the best of you and you entertain him anyway. “What party?”
“The Christmas party last year!” Hinata announces with a chuckle, “At first, I was thinking why Reiji-san and Asuma-san here look so familiar then I remember I attended the party with Bo-kun and the others!” As if on cue, the moment those words left Hinata’s mouth, Atsumu and Bokuto visually stiffened, causing you to grow more curious.
“Ah, that party.” you let out a laugh, nudging Reiji with your elbow, “He’s talking about your all-time favorite party.”
A scowl makes its way to Reiji’s features, “Please, do not remind me of that horrendous party. I had to move rooms just because of that, and I replaced the mattress too.”
“You’re so dramatic,” you drawled, laughing along with Asuma as you remember Reiji going crazy the next day after the party. “Just because your guests did the dirty on your bed—” Reiji cuts you off by pinching your side, which causes you to let out a yelp in both pain and surprise.
Osamu interjects with a grin, “Actually, I have a feeling that Sakusa would have died hearing such information. But I would be pissed off too, Reiji. That’s nasty. I would have moved out the whole place entirely.”
“Right?” Reiji exclaims by throwing his hands in the air, “I couldn’t step inside the room without wanting to poke my eyes out.”
“That’s why we no longer let Atsumu drink too much because he’ll probably do that again,” Hinata adds, laughing along.
Once again, silence.
“Wait, what?” Reiji asks, the first to break the silence. “That was you?”
Bokuto smacks Hinata’s head before looking away awkwardly. Hinata, on the other hand, takes a minute to realize his mistake before flickering his gaze back and forth from Atsumu over to you, waiting for his mistake to backfire in his face. The rest of the individuals around the table turn their attention over to Atsumu, waiting for his response.
You were the first to defend him, letting out a laugh. “Okay, enough of this. Let’s leave the past in the past. Let’s not make things awkward, it’s not like Atsumu and I are dating or anything,”
“Tsumtsum!” a squeal echoes throughout the restaurant and all you could think now was “What now?”

there was a moment from yesterday’s episode that set off so many alarm bells in my head and i haven’t seen anyone talking about it yet so i’m going to get my thoughts out there. i’m putting the majority of this post under a readmore bc it got very long thanks to all the transcript quotes i pulled but i really want to know what everyone else thinks about the Implications™
BASIRA
Okay. So… what do we know about Hill Top Road?
ARCHIVIST
Not much.
BASIRA
Another blind spot?
ARCHIVIST
No, it’s – I could look at it, but it… it was… it was like a… a hole. You know that feeling you get when you look down from a, a great height, like you’re being pulled into the abyss?
BASIRA
Kind of?
ARCHIVIST
[Getting lost in thought] Well it was… was like that. Normally I can see it, see the… webs, and feel the power of The Spider emanating from it, but… as I would look… it’s like my mind…. follows the paths of The Web,
[STATIC RISES]
the strands going down and… out… [Catching self] It’s quite disorientating.
[STATIC FADES]
my first thought after hearing this exchange was “huh, that sounds eerily similar to the description of the table the not-them was trapped in.” here it is from mag 3 - across the street:
I’d become enraptured by the table on which he’d placed my tea. It was an ornate wooden thing, with a snaking pattern of lines weaving their way around towards the centre. The pattern was hypnotic and shifted as I watched it, like an optical illusion. I found my eyes following the lines towards the middle of the table, where there was nothing but a small square hole.
my first instinct was that this was some foreshadowing for jon meeting some kind of horrible fate, because well... remember what happened the last time someone got mesmerized by the table?
SASHA
Oh, hey. I’ve found… I’ve found that table you were talking about. Don’t really see what all the fuss is about. Just a… basic… optical illusion. Nothing special… just… just a… wait…
[Hushed and panicked] Jon! Jon, I think there’s someone here. Hello? I see you. Show yourself!
but then i started thinking more about why the table specifically would be referenced, and i remembered the earliest we see it used as artifact of the web, and where: with raymond fielding in hill top road in mag 59 - recluse:
On Sunday evenings, however, we’d all gather for the evening meal, and before we sat down to eat, he would remove the bright white tablecloth that covered it, and we’d gather around the dark wood. I remember it was carved in all sorts of strange swirling designs and patterns. It felt like if you picked a line, any line, you could follow it through to the center, to some deep truth, if only your eye could keep track of the strands that had caught it.
it was while i was checking the transcripts to find the above quote that i also remembered the hole in center of the table that the web pattern leads towards wasn’t always empty - it used to contain a box, and that box contained an apple.
again from again from mag 59:
The center of the table looked, at first, like it was simply part of the wooden top, but if you looked closely, as I did so often, you could see an outline marking the very middle as a small, square box, carved with patterns just like the ones that laced their way over the rest of the table. I don’t remember how long we sat around the table those evenings, nor do I have any memory of what we might have eaten.
...
I reached over and pulled the wooden square from the center of the table. On its own, it appeared to be a small wooden box, and the lid opened smoothly, as my hands moved in a practiced motion. Inside was an apple, green and fresh and still wet with morning dew.
I knew I was going to eat it. I could feel tears desperately trying to push themselves out of my eyes, but I instead decided not to cry. I placed the box down on the table, reached over, and picked up the apple.
the box from the center of the table makes its first appearance in the very first hill top road statement, mag 8 - burned out, where we learn that apparently the apple was full of spiders.
considering the web’s predilection for filling it’s victim’s bodies with spiders (carlos vittery, annabell cane, the spider husks trevor encountered, the victim of the chelicerae website, the old woman in annabell’s statement, francis, etc.) i think this goes a ways to explain what happened to raymond’s other victims, and what would have happened to mag 59′s statement giver if he’d bitten into the apple:
They lay still now, wrapped in their sticky cocoons. Their bodies seemed warped and bloated in a way I didn’t recognize. But that’s only because at that point in my life, I had never before seen a spider egg sac.
more importantly though, we also learn that the box was buried under the burnt up tree in hill top road’s garden, the one whose uprooting was implied to be linked to agnes’s death:
STATEMENT
At that moment I made my decision. It was easy, like destroying this tree was the only thing to do, the only path to follow ... When the tree lay on its side, uprooted and powerless, I gazed into the hole where it had sat and noticed something lying there in the dirt.
Climbing down, I retrieved what turned out to be a small wooden box, about six inches square, with an intricate pattern carved along the outside. Engraved lines covered it, warping and weaving together, making it hard to look away.
...
ARCHIVIST
Except… We cannot prove any connection, but Martin unearthed a report on an Agnes Montague, who was found dead in her Sheffield flat on the evening of November 23rd 2006, the same day Mr. Lensik claims to have uprooted the tree.
and keep in mind that the only reason the statement giver in mag 59 didn’t eat the apple, didn’t succumb to the web... was agnes’s kiss:
As the man in the suit told me to follow him in a clipped BBC accent, Agnes walked over, and gestured for me to lean down and listen to her. I did so, but instead of a conspiratorial whisper, she just gave me a quick kiss on the cheek, then ran off down the hall.
...
All at once, my cheek erupted in pain. It was like someone had pressed a hot branding iron into my face, and I could swear that I heard the flesh sizzle as I let out a scream and fell to my knees. I raised my hands to my face and realized in that moment two very important things. The first is that my face seemed to be untouched; I could feel no injury or burn. The second was that raising my hand had been a truly voluntary act. I had willed it myself, and whatever power had been gripping me, tugging me into its web, I was free of it.
at this point you’re probably wondering why i think all this is relevant in terms of what might happen with hill top road, and i have two potential ideas:
my first idea has to do with the theory that agnes is lingering on as a ghost. this theory isn’t mine, i first encountered it shortly after mag 167 - curiosity aired through this post’s attempt to fix what bits of the timeline were thrown out of wack by the new info. if anyone has any other posts or general thoughts about this theory feel free to share them, i’d love to read them!
this theory is relevant to my speculation that agnes might finally make an appearance because she might have been the ghost seen by one of the statement givers in mag 100 - i guess you had to be there:
MARTIN
Right. Right.
[THROAT CLEARING]
Statement of Lynne Hammond, er, recorded 2nd of May 2017, regarding…
Uh, what, what’s this one about?
LYNNE
I saw a ghost.
MARTIN
O-kay.. Regarding a… a ghost. Statement begins.
who appeared as one of the cultists in mag 190 - scavengers:
MARTIN
[Puzzled] Celia?
CELIA
Probably. The, um… place I was trapped in, they took my name. I never got it back. But I like Celia, so… yeah! Celia it is.
MARTIN
Uh… H-Hello… Celia.
and was recognized and directly confirmed to be the same person by martin in mag 191 - what we lose:
MARTIN
Hey, I meant to ask. Do you recognise that woman, Celia?
ARCHIVIST
Um… no, I, I don’t think so. Why?
MARTIN
I’d swear she gave a statement once.
having her only pop up in mag 190 would have just been a fun easter egg, but having martin directly call out her presence the next episode sounds to me like jonny telling the audience to pay attention, to remember that her statement had to do with the ghost of a young woman on fire who might have been agnes.
my second idea involves web lighter.
over various statements throughout the previous four seasons we’ve been shown that the web and the desolation have been at war, and hill top road has been their battlefield. the best examples of this come from mag 139 - chosen and mag 149 - infectious doubts respectively.
on the one hand we have agnes being planted in hill top road by the cult of the lightless flame in an effort to both control her powers and derail the web’s plans, which seems to begin the conflict:
The compromise we came to was Hill Top Road. We knew it was a stronghold of the Web, full of other children Agnes’ age. We would supervise from a distance, but were confident she would be in no danger. The Mother of Puppets has always suffered at our hand; all the manipulation and subtle venom in the world means nothing against a pure and unrestrained force of destruction and ruin.
and on the other we have the web binding gertrude to agnes, thus thwarting the desolation’s ritual, which also involved hill top road:
ARTHUR
Alright. Agnes. How’d you do it? Never did understand it, not really.
GERTRUDE
Ah. That’s a fair enough question. It was the Web. I didn’t know it at the time, of course, and I would call it an accident, but it never is, with them. It’s only after the fact that you can see all the subtle manipulations
...
So, I began researching what I thought was a counter-ritual of sorts. Like I said, I was young, naive. I somehow found just the right books, made just the right connections, and even got what I thought was a piece of blind good luck when I found a tin box in the ashes of Hill Top Road, containing some perfectly preserved cuttings of her hair.
wouldn’t it seem symbolic, fitting with the dream logic we’ve been working with all season (and that the fears have always tended to work with), if what ended the metaphysical war was an artifact touched by both the web and the desolation?
say perhaps... a device that creates fire while being marked by a symbol of the spider? one that just so happened to be delivered to the institute at the same time as a certain table?
TIM
Er, what is it?
ARCHIVIST
A lighter. An old Zippo.
TIM
You smoke?
ARCHIVIST
No. And I don’t allow ignition sources in my archive!
TIM
Okay. Is there anything unusual about it?
ARCHIVIST
Not really. Just a sort of spider web design on the front. Doesn’t mean anything to me. You?
TIM
Ah no. No.
ARCHIVIST
Well… show it to the others, see what they think. You said there was something else as well?
TIM
Oh, ah yes, yeah, it was sent straight to the Artefact Storage, a table of some sort. Ah, looks old. Quite pretty, though. Fascinating design on it.
all signs point to the best hope of escaping whatever plans the web has for jon lying with the desolation, or at least with fire, and who should be waiting in hill top road than someone who’s been known to burn statements in the past... and someone who, as of mag 162 - a cozy cabin, was the last person to mention the lighter:
MARTIN
So, should we destroy it? Before we go?
[THE CABIN CREAKS VERY LOUDLY.]
ARCHIVIST
I honestly don’t know if we can.
[HE SIGHS.]
MARTIN
Mm.
ARCHIVIST
Besides, there’s – far worse out there. Better to try and avoid it, I think.
MARTIN
We’re not even gonna try? Look, we’ve got your lighter; maybe if we just –
i haven’t even begun to touch on the multiple instances of spiral marked individuals interacting with hill top road, or the potential role of the rift leading from the world without the institute to the reality with the institute from mag 114 - cracked foundations, or the foreshadowing we’ve gotten throughout this season that the archive might be destroyed by fire and how it’s looking more and more like that means jon might die, or the significance of the tapes and what power might be behind them...
but it’s nearing five in the morning where i am and i’ve been working on this frankly gargantuan post since about midnight, so i’m going to let more meta-inclined minds take it from here. tell me what you think! where do you agree with me, where do you think i’ve gone astray? hell, tell me if you think i’m just spinning my wheels, this is the first real theory post i’ve ever made so i might be completely off base, at least i tried lol.
tl;dr:
the call back to the imagery surrounding the web table and its long history with hill top road and the desolation is leading me to believe that whatever plans the web has in hill top road for jon, fire is going to have a significant role in whether or not the web gets what it wants; either agnes herself might finally make an appearance or the web lighter might finally come into play.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife - Trailer 2 Full Breakdown
This is it, this is definitely it!
A meaty and goosebump-evoking trailer just dropped today for Ghostbusters: Afterlife.
Much like the first trailer, the main focus of this is the family - forced to move to Oklahoma after falling on tough times. Janine, Terror Dogs, Mini Pufts, and Ghostbusting in motion as Jason Reitman has referred to it are all here. There’s a whole lot here to unpack, plus a whole lot that I’m sure we still haven’t seen. In fact, I would argue that we now have a pretty complete picture of what’s in store come November and are being shown just enough to tide us over until the fall.
This was a solid trailer. It hit all of the right notes. It invoked goosebumps on several occasions. And oh boy, does it demonstrate that Jason Reitman wasn’t kidding when he told us hardcore nerds that if we loved easter eggs, we were in for a treat.
Let’s break it down, shall we?
A GREAT MOM
The trailer begins with a very quiet and intimate bit of dialogue between Paul Rudd’s Mr. Grooberson and Carrie Coon’s Callie.
The two sit at a table, and while the trailer frames it to appear to be Spinners, a quick glimpse at the wall next to the two in a later shot shows they’re actually in a Chinese restaurant. In fact, I love that Grooberson has what looks to be one of the deluxe Benihana cocktails in a ceramic glass in front of him. Grooberson tells Callie that she’s a great mom, but she’s not so sure. Callie feels like she’s been a great mother to her oldest, Trevor (Finn Wolfhard). But feels like her introverted daughter Phoebe (McKenna Grace) keeps her at a distance. There’s a sense that Callie and Phoebe can’t find much common ground, and for this her mother is struggling.
I really love how the trailer gently brings us into the world, helps set the stage, and gives us several glimpses of some of the incredible cinematography in store from Eric Steelberg.
AN AWKWARD, NERDY KID
Grooberson’s dialogue reassures Callie that what Phoebe is going through is normal. He calls her an “awkward, nerdy kid” to imagery of her at school being teased. Ghostbusters: The Video Game fans concerned about if the story and events from the game will somehow be referenced or acknowledged in some way will probably quickly notice the Doritos product placement. Hours of gameplay has trained them well.
Anyway, not only is Phoebe failing to connect with her mother on a deeper level, but it appears that she’s an outsider at school as well. It makes the friendship we know she’s to have with Podcast (Logan Kim) that much sweeter. And you feel for her right out of the gate here, hoping that she’ll find that friend as soon as possible.
Callie and Grooberson’s conversation comes to a conclusion with Phoebe’s mother just wishing, “she’d get into some trouble.” As her mother laments about her daughter needing to be bold and a little more adventurous, we see a continuation of the scene from the first trailer in which Phoebe solves a puzzle built into the floor of the farmhouse in order to find a hidden ghost trap. Perhaps Ghostbusting is exactly the trouble the young and brainy kid needs?
As we, the audience, see the familiar ghost trap, there’s quite literally a drum roll added to the music scoring of the trailer. Perhaps Ghostbusting is exactly the trouble we need too.
JANINE, YOU HAVEN’T CHANGED
The trailer continues with the Trevor dialogue we heard in the first trailer as he explains to Lucky (Celeste O’Connor) that they’re broke and the only thing they have is a “creepy old farmhouse” left to them by their grandfather. But that is the lead in to our first major surprise of the trailer: a glimpse of Annie Potts’ return as Janine Melnitz!
Janine jokes to Callie that her father wasn’t much of a homemaker. “He could hardly keep the power on,” Janine says with a chuckle. If there was any question of the family lineage, this trailer solidifies that Callie and her family are Spengler through-and-through.
It should be noted at this point that the quiet music that accompanied the beginning of the trailer suddenly has these eerie choral notes added to it. Adding a little bit of that paranormal/otherworldly feeling but keeping the trailer light and playful. I’m not sure if this is Rob Simonsen’s score, but if I had to guess given the way the music builds and shifts, this is an original music bed for the trailer only.
It’s also interesting to see how we’ll be able to revisit the past in the film by use of footage from the original (as seen in the YouTube videos playing on various computers) but also the use of one of my favorite set photography moments framed and displayed in the farmhouse presented as a personal photograph. I know, given how some people reacted to seeing a headshot of Sean Connery used in an Indiana Jones film, these types of touches can take people out of a film. But I think the trailer gives us a great idea of how these moments will be integrated and I love it.
The trailer takes a hard turn with a great back and forth between Callie and Janine. Callie tells Janine that it sounds like her father has left her nothing. Janine playfully retorts, “Well, I wouldn’t say nothing.” This line is masterfully juxtaposed with Trevor opening the barn doors to find the Ectomobile housed under a tarp. The music comes to a crescendo as Trevor lifts the tarp and reveals the Ghostbusters Mooglie logo.
Let’s call this goosebumps moment number one.
THE ONLY ONE WITH AN ENGINE
It’s this part of the trailer where it does something that’s a rarity these days, and that I appreciate so much: the music takes a breath and completely drops off to give us a small vignette of a scene from the film. Phoebe enters the barn to find Trevor working on the Ecto. She ribs him that, of all the broken down cars on the farm, he’s chosen “the station wagon.” Trevor responds that his vehicle of choice was the only one with an engine.
The music and percussion come back in full force to score Trevor on a joy ride through the wheat fields of the farm. He seems to be having a good time.
So am I… this was definitely goosebumps moment number two.
A STORM COMING
Act Two of the trailer starts with a dark and ominous storm coming into Sumerville. There’s trouble in small town Oklahoma. Grooberson reiterates his line about a town with no faultlines shaking on a daily basis to Trevor and Phoebe. Only this time, he receives a response: “Maybe it’s the apocalypse.” Phoebe delivers the line to Grooberson with such amazing deadpan earnestness that you can tell she and grandpa might have a whole lot in common. Including their sense of humor.
The line gives us a good chuckle to break the tension but also sets the stage for what’s to come in the trailer: exactly what Phoebe has predicted.
EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON
As Phoebe tells us that “Egon came here for a reason,” an archival piece of footage and dialogue from the first film plays on her laptop: the commercial playing on Dana Barrett’s television at 55 CPW. As the original Ghostbusters give you their sales pitch, this is where the trailer really kicks into modern trailer overdrive.
Flashes of imagery including the PKE meter, Mini Puft mayhem at Wal-Mart, and more quickly breathe in and out. In fact, if this trailer is our Christmas present in July, this is where we’re unwrapping and unpacking what’s inside the box.
But we also get glimpses of a creepy underground temple with some pretty intense architecture and even creepier statue work. Terror dog/human hybrid statues flanking what looks to be a pharaoh with wings. And gaunt peasants all reaching out to it all. Did Sumerians have pharaohs? Or is this something else? Certainly seems like if there were Gozer worshippers out there, this might be a stone tribute to them.
The kids discover the terrifying temple and Trevor gives us an “oh my god” to punctuate as they see what we see.
NICE DOGGY, CUTE LITTLE POOCH
Right about this part of the trailer is where my brain explodes and I’m not sure where to start. Imagery is rapid fire as the shit hits the fan.
Phoebe looks into a cauldron in the temple (where there’s numbers behind her that we’ll have to analyze further at some point). And the cork pops on the bottle. As she does so, there’s a terrifying growl in the background foreshadowing some familiar imagery we’re about to see.
But before we get to that, two incredible things are seen as well: familiar purple PKE trails that look a whole lot like those that explode from the firehouse and converge at Spook Central. And, as Grooberson’s line about New York City looking like “The Walking Dead” is repurposed to sound like he’s talking about Sumerville, there’s an incredible physical creature design sitting at a lunch counter. A half-decomposed cabbie maybe? Wearing a 1970’s collar and neckerchief. To my eye, I’d be willing to bet that’s the work of Arjen Tuiten and his team of creature designers. And it’d make Steve Johnson proud.
Plus it’s such a funny image of this corpse sitting at a lunch counter, and the waiter is pour him coffee like it ain’t no thing. I love it.
Back to man’s worst friend: the terror dogs make several appearances in the trailer. First as a cool half-manifested entity above Groobersen and again chasing the poor guy out of a Wal-Mart. Is Groobersen haunted by these things like Louis Tully? Or is something else going on here?
IN A SPIRITUAL SENSE, OF COURSE
If there was a moment that I expected Ray Parker Jr.’s iconic theme song to kick into full gear, this would have been it. The icing on the cake of the trailer, after we see the dead rising from the grave and all hell breaking loose, is Trevor, Phoebe and Podcast all in the Ecto chasing after what we now know is Muncher. The editorial of this is insanely cool. And we get to see the Remote Trap Vehicle (RTV) deployed from the Ecto and how it’s used in the pursuit of Muncher. We’ve seen the gunner seat, but the beats that this moment in the trailer hit, well…
Goosebumps moment number three.
VENKMAN, WE’RE NOT HOME
After all the debate among friends if there would be a “Chewie, We’re Home” moment in this trailer - where we’d see one of the original Ghostbusters live and in the flesh, we got the perfect tease. As Grooberson, Phoebe and Podcast watch the conclusion of the original 1984 ad, the trailer closes with a phone ringing inside a very familiar looking Occult Book shop.
Tattooed arms (I’ve tried with everything I can to see what the tattoo says) pick up the phone and the familiar voice of Dr. Ray Stantz (Dan Aykroyd) curtly tells whomever is on the other end of that phone that, “We’re closed.” A perfect little tease if you ask me. Let’s save seeing Peter, Ray and Winston on-screen to the main event.

The Last of Us – Season 1 Episode 2 – Review
Tumblr media
Hey everyone welcome back to my review of another episode of The Last of Us. The show which I'm liking, based on a video game I've never played on a system that that I didn't continue after the second generation. As per usual this review will not feature any Easter eggs, because frankly I wouldn't know what one would be. The only Easter egg is that this show is based on a video game and the stories are, from what I hear, somewhat similar. In this episode we continue the journey of Joel, Elle and Tess as they travel through two buildings in front of a lot of green screen. The episode starts off with two things, the show earning it's M rating with some tasteful corpse nudity and the fact that this fungus infection cannot be stopped. Apparently it started near a grain silo, which a mycologist that didn't get to finish the last bit of her salad was told after viewing the corpse mentioned a few lines above. In the review of the body you can see a single bullet wound smack dab in the middle of the forehead, a bite mark and some fungus pulled out of the mouth. The mycologist is told this person was working near a grain silo and started acting violent towards others. I didn't see her checked the wrists for handcuff marks and apparently in this version of Earth, sharp shooters are everwhere. If this person was really acting eratic then they would be moving all around and not going slow, but some marksmen nailed a bullseye in the third eye of this person with a very small bullet. There wasn't even a second bullet hole shown, so the practice of a double tap has not been taught yet. We learned what I had mentioned last week when I was talking about this being not a virus, and that they just happen to come across this infection and not have any cure for it. Well, they did just come across this infection, there is no cure or vaccine and being blown up into little bits with a bomb is the most effective way to stop the spread. I suppose if there was a vaccine or cure this season would be 6 episodes and it would be an indie game that takes four hours to complete. The story picks up with the most comfertable way to wake up, in a grass as a teenager with two adults staring at you. Joel and Tess have no idea what to expect with Elle and even though she said she went to school, Elle doesn't know how long the infection goes before completely turning someone. The posters in the first episode shows a range from a few hours to a few days, I think, depending on where you were bit. I'm sure that I could easily look that fact up, but hey let's stick with a few days. In fact Joel tells Elle that it could be quick or take decades to show. This seems silly and makes Joel look like he's the person to do his own research, plus has he really know anyone affected for more than a few decades? From watching The Mandalorian and all the behind the scenes stuff, I quickly can point out all the green screen used for the background. It really helps out that if you watch the group walk towards the background, the quickly turn directions before they hit it. The group decided to travel through two buidings that they deemed the easier way on the way to meet the fireflies to get Elle smuggled out. You get some glimpses of a fungus farm of people on a street hagnging out getting some sun and we're told that they use the fungus like a spiders web. Vibrations can be felt by all infected. In the buildings they find dried up fungus and new corpses, a couple of clickers come say hello and they forget all about being quiet and fire away knowing sound travels and that there is a great chance the infected not too far way can hear them. Elle gets bit again and it's realized she has been give the game genie code for infinate lives. On the other hand Tess is bit and during the second building they go to to find the fireflies she admits to this after Elle points it out. Sometimes it's best to mind your business. The fireflies they were suppose to meet are all dead and now the infected hear them and want to come in and say hello. Tess decided to give the ultimate sacrafice, frenching an infected and then blowing up the building they're all in which adds up to post kiss instant regret. Way to hit the ego of an infected. We don't get any more 80's music, but Joel is given new directions, before Tess turns into confetti, to take Elle to two individuals. I think the two people are part of the firefly funhouse and can use somekind of alchemy to turn Elle's blood into something useful. Again, I haven't playing the game so I'm hoping that's what's going to happen. Read the full article
