Had a galaxy-brained idea about Total Mayhem (credit to @hija-ck for inspiring this with her prom post! She was also the first to hear about this so thank you to Anna and Beth aka @pointlookout for listening to my incessant and mildly feverish rambling ♥️)

-> Total Mayhem happened at/during Prom (or a spring school dance)

Here’s how I think it would play out!

Despite all the tension in the school with things crumbling down, people are still excited for prom. It’s their only chance at a normal school experience, right?

Pete knows Gary wants to pull something, but Jimmy is so wrapped up in the Townies and trying to lessen the tension that he doesn’t listen.

Jimmy is unenthusiastic about going to prom and ditches it (hence why he isn’t there), and finds himself wanting to be with Zoe

Gary, having gotten the prefects and principal on his side, is able to crown himself as prom king.

He then airs everyone’s secrets on stage, in front of the school. Chaos ensues

Zoe hears about it somehow, and so when Jimmy shows up proclaiming his love, she’s not exactly thrilled at the prospect.

Cue getting the Townies involved and fighting!

This hopefully explains a few plot holes, but it’s partially an excuse to get people into formal wear costumes. For shits and giggles

one of the best video games of all time. aside from the laughable narrative that fawkes refuses to assist the lw at the end... impeccable. View from the surf club bar on Stradbroke....its hard but someone had to do it. Already lost most of my photos of this little beach so may just have to go back....what a pity 😉 We found dolphins, whales, kangaroos and sea turtles....no great photos of them of course(things that move haha) but brilliant to experience Stayed in a classic beach hut at The Headlands Chalet. A belated anniversary! 👑 On April 15, 1848, at about 10 pm, the Pearl, a small rickety schooner departed from @TheWharfDC in #SW #DC with 77 enslaved persons. The escapees were assisted by Daniel Drayton, the captain in charge of the ship & Edmund Sayres, the captain in charge of the cargo. Paul Jennings, enslaved by #Senator Daniel Webster approached Daniel Drayton earlier in March 1848 to plan escape. The Pearl departed from the #AnacostiaRiver & sailed down to the #PotomacRiver in #Alexandria #Virginia where it spent the day. The next day the Pearl set sail for the #ChesapeakeRiver, but the trip was interrupted due to a windstorm. Sayres ordered the ship to take refuge at Point Lookout, and Drayton agreed because he was convinced that they were safely out of the reach of slaveholders in Washington. Slaveholders quickly recognized that many of their servants were nowhere to be found; and it was discovered regular chores were left unattended. A steamship quickly sailed 140 miles down river and captured the Pearl at #PointLookout with the captains & 77 escapees. Emily & Mary Edmonson were among the 14 #children on the Pearl. All of the escapees, including the #EdmonsonSisters were transported back to Washington & incarcerated in the Alexandria Bruin Slave Jail. Emily & Mary were sold w other family members to slaveholders from #NewOrleans, a market known for fancy girls. Bruin's daughter begged that Mary and Emily Edmondson be excluded from the group that was eventually sent to New Orleans, including other Edmondson #siblings. Their father, Paul Edmondson, traveled north to raise funds for the #purchase of 2 of his #daughters. Edmonson met Rev Lyman Beecher, #HarriettBeecherStowe's father, who raised the $ overnight.
