i choose to live, act, and write

straight from my heart

and in doing so, i have lost and will continue to lose plenty

for i yearn not for their admiration

but for thy love of the most high

to please he above thee, above me, you, and i

regardless if the whole world thinks me folly

i’ve abandoned thine old ways

lost the love of many

but gained my soul, which is more than plenty

1. i guess mother and father did not realize that they gave me the steel backbone they hated for years they said i was too sad about my life as if i was a favorite toy that no one enjoys anymore but of course, when you make a 6-year old feel like wilted boquet of flowers left under the summer sun when all the giddy feeling has been washed away by facts that weather changes and love can be a fist fight, she'd wither and maybe on some days gas light herself believing that needing a pair of arms is only being needy and being needy is a disability and i'm sorry my dear mother and father cos i never outgrew how proud you were when i drew stick people and fancy dresses telling me "you're going places someday"

2. i wanted to tell you stories that honestly i'm tired or writing about but would still do in case you're still listening or appearing to be interested, do you still have an hour to spare? or did resentment take over the void i left when i disappeared 2 years ago? i wanted to apologize for not being the sheep you wanted to prey on any longer because honestly we're just both scheming beasts just waiting who would surrender to whom and it became apparent and appalling each time i think about it, but i still wanted you to listen i just don't know if i still wanted to pull you in to have a taste of your mouth, feel your burning skin pressed down against mine, or even have you inside me, fucking each other relentlessly because why do we have to go that route each time fuck it sometimes i miss you but it feels steadier not seeing you

3. i think i'm outgrowing my love for writing and it makes me lonelier thinking how much of my life is wasting away by being a mother a wife a worker but not the creator i've always wished to be i'm not being ungrateful of my seemingly good life i just wish sometimes i could disappear so i can make a space for doinh what i used to love the most

she came

i was broke

in my insecurity

i almost choke

she was kind

i was a pleaser

i might not be enough

my soul was in a freezer

she was a soul

didn’t take much

she left with smile

my heart she touch

my last 500

it changed my life

she is the best

worthy to be my wife

she is so kind

loving this beast

she is much enough

i deserve the least

but she gave me the most

i had nothing to give back

when she asked for nothing

i knew she was the one i lack

but because what followed

it changed my destiny

i did not fulfill my responsibility

i have committed a felony

i miss you my honey

we are a twin soul

without you

fulfillment has a hole

i wish her the best

i will miss you babe

because of you

i am in complete shape

i pray to god

to keep you safe

you are the one

who made me brave

NEED HELP TO FIND POEM

About 8 years ago, I saw a poem online that has been stuck in the back of my brain ever since. At the time, I loved it so much that I wrote it down in a notebook and I recently found it, noticing that the author was written down as "unknown." I searched up the poem online today and it's completely gone, no matching results, nothing. Completely erased from the internet. Can anyone help me figure out what this is from or who wrote it?

"My little lamb sings songs of rain

He leaps and laughs between the grain

With parted lips, the water pools-

like what rain does to singing fools

And with great sorrow, I have now found

that my little lamb has sadly drowned."

My Magic River

This week has been so draining

so I have taken a break today

I traveled to see my Magic River

and the emerald water survey

There I see beauty and magic

inside of every warm splash.

There I see countless dragonflies

whose wings are made of glass.

Stained in blue and purple

like the inside of a church

they all sound like helicopters

as they fly for food to search.

I see crazy chirruping squirrels

all telling each other hello.

And as I sit on the river’s bridge

I see the little turtles below

River lilies like yellow bananas

The green pancakes of lily pads...

I see ducks that are all always quacking

and in Sombreros they are clad!

Their feathers are full of colors

like the hues of an autumn rainbow

The Mama duck quacks to her chicks

on just where they are to go

Here, you can’t see your reflection

the river’s full of ripples and waves

it tries so hard to get you damp

because no one’s told it to behave.

The cicadas  scream their songs

in their voices sharp and shrill

with jagged tunes and noisy chords

they produce such pleasant thrills.

The hot air fans your rosy cheeks

the strong wind has a wild smell

Will it always be this way?

Father Time can only tell...

An ancient bridge that no one can-

explain just where it came from.

But it’s mysterious and beautiful

and it is here I like to come.

I love to sit on top of the bridge

that is made of white limestone

and I contemplate the scenery

as I sit and think alone.

The ducks lend me their sombreros

to save me from a sunburn

and I share with them my sandwich

and they quack their thanks in return.

I try to catch glass dragonflies

but they are too fast for me...

I fell down one time chasing them

and I badly scraped my knee.

But when I have had enough

of letting my thoughts all roam

I leave my my magical river and bridge

then at peace, I go home.

But it’s not long before I come back

and it never fails to soothe my mind

this place is full of beauty and magic

it is Tranquility you find.

don't overindulge in flattery les you fall quick to criticism too

take no pleasure in anyone's love and admiration for you in the present moment

for people are fickle and quick to point out your faults

laugh at your ignorance

think negatively of you

belittle you

speak behind your back

don't fall for their trap, feening for their approval

one second, they make you feel godlike and the next you're worthless to them

they are like dogs

nice when wanting something from you

and when they don't get it, they turn their back or lash out at you

they change their mind rapidly

they have no stability, especially to base your inner peace of

so, hold no importance for their hatred just as much as their kindness

don't bask in the pleasure of anyone's approval

for just as quick as they give It, they'll take it away

and taunt you with it, waving it in your face

taunting you to run after them as if they are anything of importance

you must keep at a steady pace, not overindulging in any emotion

in this way, find strength in your own self, separate from them

so that you can always be at peace with and without their existence
