Consider: in soldier, poet, king, Achilles is the poet and Patroclus is the soldier.

Achilles is known to have a beautiful singing voice and be gifted with music, notably the lyre, but he’s also very much a free spirit. He does things his own way, and doesn’t let the burden of others drag him down. He also sort of just. Does things he wants. At most I could see King, but you can see his defiance pretty often considering he doesn’t subscribe to the usual rules.

Also, if you’ve ever read the Iliad dude is dropping insult after insult, really playing the slay you with his tongue. Agamemnon is probably crying in his tent every night. I know I would be

Patroclus- now, in the tsoa he keeps telling us he’s not that good of a soldier, which I have my doubts about. I mean, you cant just throw a spear without considerable skill and strength. Not to mention he was a far more gifted soldier in other stories about him. You’re not just a weak guy who kills dozens of soldiers and a son of Zeus- unreliable narrator right there. In tsoa we Watch him fight for everything he wants, namely, Achilles. Running away to Achilles, demanding Achilles location, going to war for Achilles. A poet and a king do not act as rash as he does.

Also he literally tries to tear a city down. If it weren’t for Apollo (bastard) he probably would’ve.
