I read somewhere in the comments that you were accepting multiple entries per person, so, here we go...

The first one is an echo poem inspired by "Echo Sonnet to an Empty Page" and based off of Princess and the Pauper, except mine probably isn't quite a sonnet because rhyme schemes and my lines are probably not exactly in iambic pentameter but whatever, this is an amino challenge, not school (I'm sorry).

The left side, the "voice," represents Anneliese, and the right side, the "echo" is Erika. The echo starts off just repeating the end of the phrase like a real echo, since their desires are similar (freedom from something), but moves apart as their stories change. They come back together as the two meet and save the day.

The second one is a weird parallel poem thing based on Barbie and the Diamond Castle, cause I freaking love that movie.

The two poems can either be read separately, Liana/Alexa's on the left, the Muses' on the right, or they can be read together as one echo-y poem. They're also connected into the shape of a heart, like Melody's mirror, to represent her as a link between the two stories.

I remember the first time we met

Our eyes locked and my life would never be the same.

I remember the first words you said to me

That special night my life changed forever.

I remember the first touch

The first kiss

The first time we became one.

I remember my love The words ,kisses, the touch.

I remember it all.

Time stood still the night we met.

My heartbeat was rapid and I couldn’t catch my breath.

The way we looked at each other and I knew that

This love would be true.

The moon was shining bright and the stars

Were high above.

I remember it all and

One thing I know is

That I will remember that special night

Today and tomorrow and always.

Anaesthetic

Can be bought from as little at 75cent to as much as 5,000euro

Regardlwss it is priceless.

It rots the insides,

Offers a few hours of numbing peace

At a price, higher than any coin or note

The following morning

It's effects clear

Leaving it's mark of shakes and panic screams

Making worse what you were trying to numb.

Makes no sense

You should do that less...

Or not at all

But afternoon fades

Evening calls

With the voices to remind you....

Of it all.

A viscous circle

A merry go round

You can't get off

Won't get off

Are afraid to get off.

Nothing else works

You bargain

Argue

Pray

Use as an excuse

The temporary anaesthetic is so

Good

Needed

You'll pay the consequences

Cash it up

Put it on my tab

Whatever the cost

I'm good for it

Pay any price

For the temporary release

The temporary numbing

Temporary

But when the world fuzzes you

Can play pretend it's forever.

With a promise to no one

On one left to listen

You open the can

And swear on your life

This is the last time

The last night

The last medication of anaesthetic.

We are seen as monsters

Our pure beauty

In our glowing colourful pride

Under the soft moonlight

The wolves try to chase us down

But we fight back like lions
