Kiryu doesn’t kill people

Kiryu walks into Pocket Racer building. He was burnt, bruised, and beaten, but slams 500 yen on the table, and is greeted by Pocket Circuit Fighter. “Fighter! I’m ready to take on the King of Speed Cup!

“Alright, Kiryu-kun! Ready, to fi-, what on earth happened you?!” The friendly-faced fellow, looked at him like he had one foot in the grave.

Kiryu shrugged. “Just some trouble,” A bullet hole in his left side, was gushing blood, and Fighter went pale as he could see through the wound. “Nothing to worry about.”

“I feel like there’s a lot to worry about! Did you get into a fight with the police?!”

“Fighter-Kun.” Kiryu said calmly. “Do I look like the type to fight with police?” Fighter shrunk under Kiryu’s harsh eyes.

“Kiryu-kun.” Fighter spoke quietly. “Yes.” Fight confirmed bluntly.

“Urgh!” Kiryu walked back pained, and not from the bullet hole. “I thought, I looked law-abiding.”

“Yakuza-law, perhaps.”

“Urgh,” Kiryu groaned. “Anyway, it wasn’t the police.”

“Really,” Fighter looked shocked! “Than you were jumped by some no-good Yakuza with Illegal guns! We got to call the police and tell them!”

Kiryu looked aside, dejected. “Not all Yakuza are no-good.”

“That’s what you choose to fix on?!”

“I’m sure some of those guns were legal...”

“Kiryu-Kun, really?”

“Anyway, it’s nothing to worry about.” He takes a can of Toughness-Emperor out and chugs, it his wounds closing.

Fighter looks in abject horror as Kiryu’s bullet and cut wounds close. “Kiryu-Kun, what was that?!”

“Oh, it’s Toughness Emperor!” He says holding it aloft, like a trophy.

“Kiryu-Kun, that’s not normal.” Fighter says with abject dread.

Kiryu looks at his body. “I feel normal.”

“You are the farthest thing from normal.”

Kiryu gives Fighter a look, that says really.

Fighter sighs. “Fair enough, anyway, stop distracting me! We need to call the police and get these men caught!”

Kiryu smirks. “Fighter-kun, nothing to worry about, I took care of them.”

“Really? Then if they’re knocked out somewhere, we should call the police and have them picked up.”

“No, they’ve probably gotten up by now.”

“Ok, alright then.” Fighter sighs. “So, a tough guy like you, how’d you take care of them? Give them the old 1-2?” Fighter mimed doing some boxing.

Kiryu shrugged with smirk. “Nothing special, I got one in a hold,” Fighter nods. “Picked up him up,” Fighter smiles. “Then flipped him upside down in my hands,” Fighter seems a little confused. “Jumped in the air, and slammed him into the concrete.” Fighter looks slacked-jawed at Kiryu.

“...Kiryu-Kun that kills people.”

“What?”

“Kiryu-kun, you slammed a man head-first into the ground from, how tall are you? 182 cm?” Kiryu nods. “Plus you jumped, that’s what three meters into the air? Slamming all his weight into the crown of his head, that man has a concussion, or is dead!”

Kiryu took a step back. “Oh, oh... But, his friends ...”

“Kiryu-kun, what did you do to his friends?”

“I picked up a motorcycle, and spun it at them like brief-case.”

“Kiryu-kun, a motorcycle weights nearly 300kg, and you swung at them like a 2kg case? That’s like getting hit by a speeding car. Those men are dead.”

“But, they always get up afterwards, and give me money for bothering me.”

“Kiryu-kun, have you ever seen these men again? Are you sure your mind is just remebering it the way you want it too?”

“No, I can’t be, I mean, that’s like telling me that putting nails in a man’s mouth and then punching his jaw shut, or slamming his head with a car door would kill him.”

“Because, it would!”

“Oh,”

“Snapping someone’s neck with a choke-hold, would also kill people.”

Kiryu looks at him shocked. “I never would have guessed,”

Fighter sighs, and smiles at him. “Alright, you ready to race?”

“Yes!”
