I will never stopped thinking about "Gem you don't wanna do this, right?" "No... I don't" and everything that followed because it’s just crazy to me how loyal they both were to their weird relationship that had no name nor was actually addresed at any moment by them. Gem looked at Pearl with the knowledge that she wouldn’t be able to convince her to go her side, she knew that they were doomed the moment only the Mounders, Scar and her alliance were left. Pearl did so too. They knew all that and yet, when Gem and Pearl looked at each other with their bows out, they shook their heads and decided that they just couldn’t do it.

Like I don’t think it gets acknowledged enough how their decision of not attacking each other tecnically doomed their own alliances. Had Pearl attacked Gem when she had the chance, perhaps Bdubs and Joel wouldn’t have died since only Scott could have taken more risks in attacking them. Had Gem attacked Pearl when she had the chance, perhaps she would have had more of a chance of winning.

And don't let me enter into their last conversation and Pearl still somehow hesitating about what to do until it was obvious that Scar wouldn’t stop his pursuit. How Gem was still trying to understand Pearl's actions and feelings and "Pearl what are YOU doing!? We were friends!", Scott just died by her hand but Pearl's actions are what hurt her more. And they both die, feeling incomplete despite everything that happened. Something something the love was there and it didn’t change anything at the end, but it’s important that the love was still there.

Them ending up dooming each other is such an interesting interpretation and I'm absolutely OBSESSED WITH IT!!!

Honestly I wasn't the biggest fan of sl! Shiny duo. I liked them in Hermitcraft but never got the appeal in secret life but you have FULLY sold me on their dynamic!!

Please don't apologise for this being long in fact I LIVE off of long rambles like these it's one of the best things about these brackets!

The Ruler of Gilded Helianthia had always loved to fight. Xornoth knew this well. The Farmer Queen had an unquenchable thirst for battle, a yearning for a challenge, a gallantry which had made her fearless and puerile when they'd first met. Even when it had sent ravagers, vexes, illusionists, strays, blazes… even when her Empire had begun to burn to the ground around her, rooftops ablaze and every crevice filled with craters, she had still treated it all as a game. As if his attack was nothing more than a sparring session, a brief skirmish, a squabble. Xe had thought her to be fatuous, at first, foolish for trying to provoke a demon which could fling her thousands of blocks into the air at the flick of a wrist into one-on-one combat, a reckless ruler with a death wish. He had thought her taunts had been nothing but ridiculing reviles —  “Ooh, baby zombie! The most threatening thing so far-", “Xornoth, can you come around more often? Like, I’m having a great time right now!” —  the likes of which had gotten under xir skin more than it wanted to admit… but that wasn't the case. She hadn't been deriding it: worse. She had been humouring them. She sincerely hadn't been taking him seriously. She hadn't been afraid. Not of death; not of xem, not of lava, heights or sorcery. She was fearless. All she cared about was having a fun fight. In some ways, Xornoth respected this. In others, however, he wanted to take advantage of it. Like xe had taken advantage of his other underlings' lust for power, it was hoping they could distort her adversarial nature into bloodlust for his own gain. It didn't seem like it would be a difficult stretch to turn her vigour into vindictiveness. Unfortunately, despite xir and Sausage's efforts, it had been for naught. The Moon's morality had been surprisingly unshakeable, her loyalty to her alliance impossible to subvert or suborn. It was a shame, really; it would have loved to have such a powerful Emperor in their arsenal, but alas, it hadn't been meant to be. The Sunflower Queen hadn't been entirely nugatory, however. The Mythland Arena Massacre truly had been a spectacle. The only thing he regretted about the event is that it had to be a ruse. Truly, it would have loved to fight her again, to test both of their mettle and mold. But he had bigger plans to attend to. Plans xe couldn't allow The Ruler of Smallholding to interrupt. And, so, it had to get her out of the way. They wouldn't kill her, though, no; after all she had done for it? That would be unjust. She deserved a reward for her assistance. And xe knew the perfect one. He'd give her exactly what she had wanted. The Ruler of Gilded Helianthia had always loved to play games. The Ruler of Gilded Helianthia had always loved to fight. And, so, it would send her to a play a game where she could fight to her hearts' content, where she could really be challenged. A game of a death; a game to the death. A dream come true for her… almost too literally. A dream she wouldn't know was true. Sweet dreams, Farmer Queen. Watch out for the boogeymen beneath your bed.

I think it's so interesting to see people talk about these ships, especially because these exist in different smps. So while I haven't watched certain Empires SMP and know very little about it, I can still learn about these dynamics and why they're important to people through the fan responses

Actually, at least one thing someone said has made me interested in potentially watching some older Empires stuff

So I think this is very nice, and a good way to expose people to new things!

(P.S. Pearl and Tango are genuinely so good for chaos and for fluff and should be appreciated. Also I wish BEST!Tango -from Last Life- and Scarlet Pearl -from Double Life- could have met. I think they could have been an influential partnership in they could have crossed realities and met in one another's games.

I think Pearl had a small teenage crush on Grian (they were like 18-19 or very early 20s during evo) and suffered a lot when he got taken away by the watchers.

Then she sees him again during Last Life before meeting scott and he's hella changed both physically and in personality. He gets defensive when she tries to bring up Evo and even pretends he doesnt know her </3

She's also later on resentful of Grian cause of the whole cheating on Scar during DL (pls dont turn this into scar x pearl ship, i see them as fam and this is *my* headcanon).

Im using she/her on pearl for simplicity sake but I dont see Pearl as a woman, he's such a bigender he/she voidthing/voidgender mess. Also hey wolf Pearl not being DL exclusive! Hello!

Okay guys. Arena duo to me is just friends fighting it out to relax and have their feelings out. Always having sparring sessions when they have the time. They’re always very close and always have a ball of a time when they’re in the same room and joke around. They have buried each other, they have almost killed each other, Pearl is the reason why Sausage has that eye scar. They both hand out with each other with their pets and they love their pets so much.

Just don’t remember the end of the world where things went wrong. Of how Sausage went through many universes and try to bring Pearl back and every time failed, as if this was a universal consistent. Don’t think about how Pearl greeted Sausage to the afterlife. And made Sausage her champion so that they’ll stick together every lifetime since then.

Maybe fantasy SMP was a universe where things went right or was a world after many times they can both be there and be alive

I still haven’t finished even one of the streams for fantasy smp but I am excited for the more mythicalmoon interactions we could get from the series!!!! unfortunately I still haven!t watched afterlife smp even though I was an og minecraft fan but I really should watch it sometime!

Pearl *does* change fits according to season! Might make skins for those. During SL she dresses in more earthy colors, like a brown shirt with a yellowy brown flower print that looks like oil painting, a green cloak, brown boots, and some jeans that go a bit under the knees.

The mounders also embroided and painted stuff on her cloak and jeans, Scar did some sunflowers in the cuffs of her jeans (again do NOT turn into ship /lh /srs).

Yknow what Scott did? Painted some cherry blossoms on her back pockets!! I see u smajor... gayass..

SL is the sesson where they finally officially dated!! After DL they had some petty love-hate beef, homoerotic frienemies.. god i hate gay people /j

But!! Yeah they still kept it a secret. Many people found them suspicious, but usually assumed they hung out sm in secret and whatnot bc of a secret task, they made yellows waste soooo many guesses... big dogs were mad!! People like Cleo picked up on it easily, but for example Bdubs and most other people needed a little push. ".. They're dating, Bdubs" ".... OH SO THATS WHY! It all makes so much sense now.."

Their allies were livid finding out they were together. I mean theyd fully support them in any other circumstances! But with the finale approaching??
