30 Cabinet Ministers In New Modi Government: See List
Narendra Modi today took oath as Prime Minister for a record third term, equalling India's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru's record of three wins.
Honour guards lined the steps of the Rashtrapati Bhavan where thousands gathered to watch PM Modi, dressed in a white kurta and with blue waistcoat, take the oath.
PM Modi was followed immediately by top BJP aides Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah and Nitin Gadkari.
South Asian leaders from neighbouring Bangladesh, the Maldives and Sri Lanka attended the ceremony but neighbouring rivals China and Pakistan had notably not sent top leaders.
Led by the Prime Minister, the new team includes 30 Cabinet Ministers, 5 Ministers of State with Independent Charge and 36 Ministers of State.
PM Modi's party, BJP, won 240 seats in this year's poll, 32 short of a majority in the 543-member lower house. Allies helped him cross the 272-majority mark, with the National Democratic Alliance or NDA notching up 293 seats

Speaking of which! (NDTV article):
New Delhi is preparing a grand welcome for all the South Asian leaders who will attend Prime Minister Narendra Modi's swearing-in ceremony on Sunday. PM Modi will take oath for a record third term on Sunday, and several heads of state will attend the ceremony, including Maldives President Mohamed Muizzu.
Relations between India and Maldives have deteriorated since Muizzu assumed office in November last year. During his election campaign, he often criticised India and demanded a complete withdrawal of Indian military personnel.
All Indian armed forces have left the nation and have now been replaced by civilians.
But India extended an olive branch inviting him to the swearing-in ceremony of PM Modi. President Muizzu expressed his gratitude to PM Modi for the invitation, adding that he would be honoured to attend this historic event.
"He also stated that he looks forward to working with the Prime Minister to further strengthen the close relations with India, noting that Maldives-India relations are heading in the positive direction, as would be demonstrated by this visit," the official release said.
This will mark the pro-China president's first official visit to India since assuming office on November 17 last year. Unlike his predecessors, who made the first port of call to New Delhi after assuming office, Muizzu had travelled to Turkey first and to China for his first state visit in January.
Ahead of his arrival in Delhi, a huge banner has been put up outside the Foreign Ministry which features both PM Modi and Muizzu.

[ad_1] GG News Bureau Panchkula, 17th Oct. Nayab Singh Saini is set to be sworn in as the Chief Minister of Haryana at a ceremony in Panchkula on Thursday, attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, key BJP figures, and NDA partners. Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya will administer the oath of office and secrecy to Saini, marking his second term as Chief Minister. The ceremony will also likely include the swearing-in of ministers in Saini’s cabinet. As per regulations, the Haryana government can include up to 14 ministers, including the Chief Minister. In the recent state assembly polls held on October 5, the BJP achieved a historic third consecutive term, securing 48 out of 90 seats. The Congress, its main rival, won 37 seats. Saini, 54, was unanimously chosen as the leader of the BJP legislature party in a meeting at the party’s Panchkula office on Wednesday. Notably, in a departure from tradition, the BJP had declared before the polls that Saini would retain the Chief Ministerial position if the party succeeded in the elections. Saini, an influential OBC leader, succeeded Manohar Lal Khattar as Chief Minister in March, taking over when the party faced significant challenges, including anti-incumbency sentiments, opposition criticism on farmers’ issues, unemployment, the Agnipath scheme, inflation, and law and order concerns. Saini won the Ladwa assembly seat in Kurukshetra district by a margin of 16,054 votes. His elevation from Haryana BJP president to Chief Minister earlier this year came at a crucial time for the party, which ultimately paid off as he led the BJP to victory, defying exit poll predictions favoring a Congress sweep. Extensive security measures have been put in place for the swearing-in ceremony, which is expected to draw prominent political leaders and supporters. Viral Video Wrongly Accuses J.P. Nadda of Eating and offering Gutkha to Gadkari on the Stage
On June 12, the oath ceremony of the newly elected Telugu Desam Party leader N. Chandrababu Naidu and his cabinet happened in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh. Many high-profile dignitaries such as PM Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, several members of the Union Cabinet, Actor Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi and more attended the event to witness Naidu take oath as the new chief minister of Andhra Pradesh. A clip from the event is going viral which shows BJP Chief and Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda eating something from a can which is being claimed as gutka. He is also seen sharing it with Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari. Is JP Nadda chewing Gutka?? He is INDIA's new Health Minister 👀pic.twitter.com/G3Mh0KK2iY — Dhruv Rathee (Parody) (@dhruvrahtee) June 12, 2024 archive ये है आपके Health Minister जो सारे आम गुटका खा रहे है 🥴🤦pic.twitter.com/HZbddmL6LN — Ars Lan (@MrarslanX_) June 12, 2024 archive Several accounts claiming J.P. Nadda consuming gutka in the viral video raised concern on how a health minister could be seen eating unhealthy gutka. Sakshi Gupta, District President of AAP Womenn Wing Delhi, also shared the video on X (formerly Twitter). pic.twitter.com/2HbjH5w7Ns — Sakshi Gupta AAP (@SakshiGupta_AAP) June 12, 2024 archive
Truth
On viewing the clearer clip of the viral video, it can be seen that J.P. Nadda is actually consuming Yogi Kanthika which are Ayurvedic pills for Throat Relief. On inspection of the video by CNN-News18, we found the viral clip at 4:33:51 which shows the Health Minister consuming something from the can.
Photo of the moment shared in the viral clip. ( Source: CNN-News18) On zooming in, we found that the can resembles the packaging of Yogi Kanthika, and is not of any gutka brand. The colours and the flap-like opening match with the original packaging of Yogi Kanthika.

Photo showing J.P. Nadda holding Yogi Kanthika package ( Source: CNN-News18)
The package in Nadda's hand matches Yogi Kanthika On closer look, Gadkari’s action of picking the substance from Nadda’s palm seems like he's picking the small spherical pills of Yogi Kanthika and not gutka powder.
