im tired of everything but mostly tired of twitter bc #/hommeenceint (pregnant man in french) is trending and i don't wanna hear from ppl who think i don't exist, so, uh, here i am

tbh i think i've gotta let ppl in more. like not just tell them abt my traumas, my anxiety and other undiagnosed shit, bc it's easy for me, but like let them... know what i want? ik this is weird, but this has always been an issue for me and idk why

im also v afraid of the unknown and that's why i never let myself date in middle-school (when i could have and wanted to, even though i always told myself i didn't) and i wanna work on that bc if ppl want me in college im gonna have to get out of myself for once (i have no idea what im saying but like, u get it)

So, I got fat. Not in the 'aww, got some cute chub', but in the 'hey my knees hurt, I can't run, I tire easily, I'm approaching health hazard levels of excess weight' etc kind of way. Been like that for years now, and I can't exactly blame my past issues with depression and ongoing ADHD issues on that. Did that to myself.

So, I decided to sloooowly start exercising again and oh boy.

Basic stretches hurt. I can do weight exercises with my arms no problem, since I'm a physical worker and most of my previous jobs involved lifting. No problems there.

My legs are jello, though. I don't have the range of motion I used to have. I miss knowing I can run for a bit and not be feeling out of breath.

Even basic arm and back stretches hurt. I did a few squats and my thighs burned.

Makes me feel pretty awful, but also makes me feel motivated to keep doing those little stretches, slowly building up to some minimal level of fitness that will let me exercise more and more. I used to do martial arts as a little kid, and I miss that. Used to want to learn parkour/freerunning, to learn to skateboard, and I feel that my own choices regarding my health (obesity, smoking, etc) are stealing my dreams from me.

The clock is ticking, and I don't want my dreams to remain dreams. I'm nearing thirty. Past certain age getting back in shape and fixing the ills I caused by mismanagement of my own body will be irreversible.

I just want to feel alright.
