he came with the name pudgy, but i have a dinosaur plush from childhood and thats HER name, so i named him pudge which i think suits him mighty fine :~)

🥭(favorite plush category): ANIMALS!! 💕 any animal of any brand! I usually like naturally colored animals most (even as a kid) but have a few unnaturally colored ones, too! I've seen cute plushies that aren't animals before (sushi, gumball machines, etc.) but I personally don't connect with those the same way

I have mostly mammals and the animals I have the most plushies of currently are opossums and tigers! 🐅✨️

🍎(how I display/store them): I have a bunch of my favorites on my bed, and the rest sadly are in boxes right now but I'll hopefully be able to make room for them soon ♡ I definitely have to rehome a bunch first and it's very hard for me to part with them so I'd love to get a big toy box like I had as a kid for the ones I keep so I can get to them more easily

Secondly...this whole plushie thing is becoming a dangerous new potential obsession. They are SO ADORABLE OMG.

I definitely have some sort of weird cuteness-affinity for food things with faces. I think it's because of my dogs toys 😂 Floyd the Fry and Carl the Hamburger are absolutely stealing heart🍟❤️🍔

Additionally, I love that it looks like they're having some kind of ritual with that candle. 🕯️😁

What did you n Gumball think of the museum? ^-^ And Hornsby!!

I had a great time at the museum!!! I got to see lots of fossils of one of my favorite dinos, dunkleosteus!! There was also a mini-zoo, with lots of animals like coyotes, raccoons, foxes, porcupines, and tons of birds ^~^ There were some adorable little otters that swam around, it was soooo cute... Overall I had so much fun with Daddy, I'm glad we got to go!!

My favorite part was the T-Rex movie!! It was in 3D so it was like the dinos were jumping out at you-- it was so awesome. I got a little nervous around some of the owls, but I did like exploring somewhere new! On our way out, we saw an ice cream truck and I almost ran over to it myself!

I also liked the T-Rex movie, except it was sort of scary because there was a fight scene between TRex and a Triceratops like me!! They talked about how awesome Ceras are though, so it's fine! There was a dinosaur statue outside that was really neat too, and I liked how many new facts there were to learn. I'd definitely go again soon!

Hey, I found a beanie boo that I liked the design of but I can't stand those giant uguu eyes. Do you think it would be possible to replace them with smaller safety eyes akin to the old beanie babies? If yes, do you have any advice?

I was gonna answer this in a normal way, but then I got curious about trying it for myself and thought I might as well demonstrate!

So, I went and picked up a guy from the supermarket. The selection there was pretty barren today but I found a decent test subject:

(First of all, to my friend who loves beanie boos, I am so sorry for this lmao)

So! First I opened up the closing seam on his back. However, I found an extra mesh barrier inside! Clearly this is to prevent bean escape since this is the most likely seam to accidentally pop open through play. This would be a bit annoying to work around so I just sewed it back up and went in the back of the head instead…

Opened and unstuffed the head…

…And turning it inside out to get to the backs of the eyes. Whoa, these plastic washers are the biggest I’ve ever seen!! Cutting through them will take some work!

Please be very careful of your fingers cutting through these!! Be careful not to cut the fabric around the eye too, but mostly be careful of yourself!

Anyway grrrrrrr attack attack slice slice grrrr

They’re out! With a little glue I think the washers would be able to hold on perfectly well again. I’ll keep these eyes to reuse on something where they’ll be a bit more proportional!

The washers on these eyes are particularly cup shaped, fitting around the back of the eye and holding the fabric tightly against them. Now that the eyes are removed, this has left imprints on the fur!

Plenty of brushing and rumfling will help to fix the creased and flattened areas of fur, and wetting the fur or gently steaming over a hot cup of water should help too. It might take a little time!

(Also, I did make a little cut in the cheek while removing a washer, oops! No worries, that can be stitched up.)

Now we can try on a few new eye styles! Restuff the head for now so you can see how they’ll look.

I have a few sizes of solid black, from teeny dots to absolute tbh creature…

These blue eyes were a little scary… no thanks!

I even have some glittery ones like the original, but smaller! Pretty nice actually!

And even some googly eyes hehehe!

But my favourite eyes were some basic 9mm black ones! They are placed a little funny here, but the position will change a little bit…

The holes left by the original eyes were very big, so a couple of stitches are needed on each one to tighten them up to fit the new eyes. I stitched the top outer corners, to move the holes down and inwards a bit. If you wanted, you could even sew them closed completely and make new eye holes elsewhere!

Unstuff again and pop those new eyes in!

Restuff! You might actually need to add a little extra stuffing, as the fabric not being so pulled around the eyes any more will mean it is a little ‘baggier’.

Then sew the head closed again and that’s about it! The fur is still a little creased around mine, but I’ll keep working at it and it should become less visible.

To add a tiny bit more shape to the big round head, I also did a touch of threadsculpting. I ran a thread from the corner of each eye to below the chin and back, just pulling the eyes in a tad more. You might decide you don’t need this!

And there we go! Hope you’ll try it yourself!

you've been acclimating to your new life as a Melusine very nicely, the outside world falling away and as you forget and close off the memories of everything they did to you, only thinking about it when you happen to glance at the shimmering markings lining your body. swimming and spending time with Foul Legacy- those are your two favorite things, with your siblings coming in at a close third, and your little house made of shells becomes a popular spot for Melusine to visit, dropping by to say hello to both you and Legacy... although, you'll admit that you don't provide the same climbable experience that he does. you and Mamere even painted together, collaborating to make a painting of Legacy himself, all dotted with swirling colors and little stars and shapes only your Melusine eyes could see, proudly presenting it to him with paint splattered all over your colorful skin. he can't do anything but chitter and trill with delight, giving Mamere a friendly pat on the head and comfortably curling around you in satisfaction.

he should make something for you, he thinks. something small and soft and comforting, for when he inevitably needs to leave for Ajax's Harbinger duties. you always reassure him that you'll be fine... but oh, you look so sad when he has to go for a few days, or a week. he always gives you plenty of headbumps and purrs beforehand, silently stealing away from Merusea Village and shifting back into Ajax, so the foolish humans are none the wiser of your location. it's during one of these trips that he spends hours awake at night, carefully stitching fabric and cotton stuffing together until he returns and presents his gift- a tiny plush version of himself, cradled in his claws. your eyes light up, antennae wiggling happily as you gently pick up the plushie Legacy and twirl around, hugging it tightly. you're gently scooped into Legacy's arms so he can hug you as well, rumbling contently as both of your wings flutter in sync with each other.

you show Neuvillette the plushie next time he visits, and he merely gives you a smile of relief upon seeing you happy and safe.

exam 5 for me... tomorrow!

honestly have been feeling really nervous for this exam since my classmates have either failed it or just barely passed. and i had less time to study this time around because i rushed to book the exam.

so i drew this little encouragement early cuz i need the reminder that no matter what happens tomorrow, i did what i could and i didn't compromise on my boundaries—and that is its own victory.

and i hope that you'll be reminded to celebrate your own big and small victories too!
