leggo!!
... (Monday)
“You’ll have to redo these reports.” a stack of papers was thrown onto your desk. You stared up at your boss in disbelief.
“And just what’s wrong with them?” you raised an eyebrow.
“There are exactly 15 typos in these reports and since I don’t care enough to go through them with you, I want them redone.”
Min Fucking Yoongi. CEO of Bangtan Enterprises. You of course were a humble secretary who wrote reports on every idol and client that walked through the damn door.
“I spent hours on those!” you tried to defend. “I already deleted the stupid file to save space on my computer!”
“You have until the end of the week.” he walked away without another word.
“Sora didn’t even turn in her reports because she stayed up playing fucking Doki Doki Handsome Husband Haven and you gave her an extension!”
Yoongi didn’t respond as he turned the corner.
“Are you fucking kidding me.” you seethed.
... (Thursday Afternoon)
“Y/N!” you heard the horribly scary voice.
“What now?” you whimpered. You turned around in your chair to see your boss fuming. “Yes, Mr. Min?”
“YOUR REPORTS ON MY CLIENT ARE LATE!”
“No they aren’t! They aren’t due for another three days!” you tried to defend. Everyone else was starting to stare. They all knew how they treated you and they all felt super bad that he chose you to bully.
“I SENT AN EMAIL YESTERDAY SAYING I WANTED IT TODAY AT 10:00 IT’S NOW 2:00!”
“No you didn’t! I would have seen it-” you tried to speak.
“YOU HAVE TWENTY MINUTES TO HAVE IT DONE OR YOU CAN SAY GOODBYE TO YOUR JOB.”
“Y/N, don’t cry...you’re doing that thing you do when you’re about to cry.” your friend came over to your side. “Don’t waste your tears on that asshole.”
You inhaled dramatically, starting to type furiously through your blurry vision. You felt the tear slip down your cheek and you went to furiously wipe it.
...(Lunchtime: Thursday Afternoon)
Sobbing in the bathroom was a thing right?
Your two friends, Dahyun and Sana stood outside the bathroom stall as you sobbed into your hands. They were convincing you to not quit.
“Y/N, You know this is the only job that will let you live comfortably in this city. Other than being a teacher...and who’d want that?” Sana shuddered. “He’s done this more than TWICE now.” (...I’M NOT SORRY)
“I HATE HIM! I FUCKING HATE HIM.” You cried. “WHY IS HE ALWAYS MEAN TO ME!” You furiously wiped your eyes.
“Y/N, Open the door.” Dahyun sighed. “Let us in.”
The stall door slowly open and your two friends were met by a totally distraught woman. Your hands were stained with your eyeliner that you hand managed to completely wipe off leaving your tired face.
“Y/N, he’s working you to the bone. You don’t even smile anymore.” Sana kneeled in front of you, taking your dirty hands into hers. “Why do you let him bully you?”
“Because if I don’t, I won’t have a job.” you sniffed.
“Is someone dying in here?” you heard Miss. Hyuna, another boss walk in. “Aw honey, did a boyfriend break up with you...do you want me to ‘accidentally’ get his car towed?”
Miss Hyuna was both Sana’s and Dahyun’s boss, you guys just liked to have lunch together.
“It’s Mr. Min.” Dahyun spoke for you. “He’s working Y/N to the bone. He only ever bullies her and no one else. I’ve seen it personally.”
“Is that so?” she raised an eyebrow, looking less than happy. “Is that true Miss. L/N. Is Mr. Min treating you unfairly?”
You couldn’t speak, so you just nodded.
“All he does is yell at and belittle her every chance he gets.” Sana looked at Miss. Hyuna.
“Hm, I’ll go talk to him, right now. If he fires you, he’ll answer to me.” was all she said before she walked away. She ignored Sana trying to hold you back from stopping her.
Hyuna walked out of the bathroom with fire in her eyes. She walked by your desk only to see what looked like an open notebook with the words ‘The Min Yoongi Files’ written in permanent marker on the first page.
“This must be her case.” she shut the notebook, ignoring the childish looking anime stickers on the inside page. “I should take this for evidence, I hope she won’t mind.”
“Yoongi!” Hyuna stormed into his office, shutting the door behind her.
“Hey Hyuna, what’s up?” Yoongi looked up from his lunch. “What can I do for you?”
“What’s this I hear about you mistreating a worker? One of YOUR workers?”
“Pardon me?” he raised an eyebrow. “Mistreating?”
“Two of MY workers are busy consoling Y/N L/N in the ladies restroom on their lunch break of all times because according to all three of them, you’ve been unfairly treating her!!” she glared. She slammed the notebook down on his desk. “This should speak for itself.” she sighed.
“I don’t mistreat Y/N L/N, She’s insolent! She needs discipline.”
“SHE’S YOUNG.” Was Hyuna’s comeback. “You can’t treat her like she’s a piece of garbage just because she makes one typo!”
“Her typos cost us time.”
“So does your shameless reprimanding her for missing a semicolon.” she rebutted. “Think about it! Are men always this stupid.” she looked him up and down before walking out of his office.
Yoongi watched dumbfounded. He took at look at the notebook she left behind.
“Property of Y/N L/N.” he read aloud. He flipped it open to the first page to see a bunch of shiny and matte stickers all over the inside cover. “The Min Yoongi Files? Speak for itself, huh?” (read more below the break)
...
(The Next Morning) (Smut Warning)
You begrudgingly trudged into the office. Not only were you tired, but you were dreading. You had multiple deadlines.
“L/N, MY OFFICE.”
“Shit...” you seethed. You walked past your desk into Yoongi’s office. He was sitting at his desk, flipping through the pages of a very familiar looking book. “You wanted to see me sir?”
“Yes, I did.” he shut the book and slid it over to you. “Care to explain?”
“Holy fu- ” You had forgotten you left your diary on your desk. How did he get a hold of that?
“ I found that little journal you made about me. I think it’s so cute how you fantasize about me, darling. Hyuna gave it to me thinking it was a list of every terrible thing I’ve done to you. I didn’t know it would be a list of every terrible thing you wanted me to do to you.” his face spread into a smirk.
“You read my property-”
“My name is on it, which means it’s company property by association.” he was still smirking. “Y/N, Y/N Y/N...I didn’t know you were such a needy little girl. On my desk, in the breakroom? The elevator of all places?? I didn’t even know you enjoyed when I raised my voice.“ he raised an eyebrow. “You do realize I could have you fired for writing about me in such a way.”
“Yes sir.” you whimpered. “I’ll have all my sh-..stuff off my desk by-”
“Y/N what on earth are you talking about?” he raised an eyebrow. “Surely you don’t think you are fired.”
“I’m sorry?” you raised an eyebrow, becoming very confused.
“Even though I’m an asshole, a big jerk, and the bane of your existence, you still want me?” he raised an eyebrow. “Maybe you have more of a backbone than I thought. I sure as hell wouldn’t want to miss a chance to break that spirit of yours.” he rose to his feet and walked around his desk to face you. “Get over here.” he urged.
He grabbed you by the hand and yanked you to his chest. He crashed his hot mouth over yours, capturing you in a kiss. He held both sides of your face gingerly. In a shock, you held onto his blazer jacket to stop from falling over.
“Hmm.” he moaned.
“Mr. Min!” you gasped. “We can’t- I’m your secretary!! And I don’t know if you’re aware of this but you hate me.”
“ Whose gonna stop us? I own this fucking place, baby. “ he laughed manically. “And who the hell said I hated you? Plus you want this. I know you do because you wouldn’t have written about me throwing you on my desk and eating that little pussy...fuck that was my favorite story to date.” he spoke in a babyish voice. “Shit I’ve always loved what that ass does to me.”
You felt yourself melt in every way. The thought that someone would storm in didn’t even cross your mind. He back you up against the table, sitting you on the desk. Yoongi tore off his blazer and hastily undid his necktie.
He broke away from you, allowing you to suck in air. You took a deep breath as you felt your lips. He practically tore his shirt open, buttons flying everywhere to reveal that body. To say you were taken aback was the understatement of the century.
“ That’s right, you fucking worship me don’t you?” he smirked as you stared him down “ Look up at me like I’m your god” he quoted the exact words from the entry you had written just 5 days ago.
“Oh, you read the whole thing.” you squeaked. “I am so fucked.” you whimpered.
“I’ll be honest, I’ve been needing a good way to unleash my stress.” he shrugged. “This is perfect..” he motioned, tugging the hem of your shirt, playing with and unfastening each button. “I can take out my stress and you get to feel the real thing instead of writing shameless fan fiction.” he laughed. “Don’t make any mistakes,” he drank in your body. “I want this to be more than sex.”
Before you could say another word, Yoongi wrapped his arms around your waist again. He leaned down and softly kissed your lips. You just prayed he didn’t taste the bacon, egg, and, cream cheese bagel you ate this morning. You didn’t know what to do, so you shyly returned his affections.
“Come on, act like how you write about. Moan for me, grab my hair-” he mumbled through kisses. “Kiss me like you hate me.” he grunted. “Unless-...”
He abruptly yanked down your skirt along with your panties. “Maybe we should do this right. Spread em, secretary.”
He wasted no time in hooking your legs around his shoulders.
“Mr. M-min.” you whimpered, feeling something wet trailed up your slit.
“Shit...you taste so fucking good.” he moaned. “Damnit Y/N, you coulda told me you wanted me earlier.” he flicked his tongue against your clit. “Maybe if you had a good fuck, your reports would be more punctual.”
“That report wasn’t due and you know it.” you found it in you to reply. You tilted your head back, feeling his fingers be introduced into your tightness. “F-fuh”
“Come on, you love this shit.” he laughed, lashing his tongue against you. “Beg for me, beg for my mouth, beg for me to make you cum.” he moaned into your heat. “I said FUCKING BEG! ” he thrust his fingers even deeper. “Come on, scream my name.”
“M. Min, I- we- you....”
“Not that...my first name...fucking say it I wanna hear it. I wanna hear if its as cute in my mind when I read how I made you squirt all over my fucking desk.” he kept moving his mouth and fingers against you.
“Y-yoongi.” you obeyed. This only encouraged him.
“I’m gonna corrupt your mind. I love to play with you like you’re a fucking violin.” he giggled.
(3 days later... )
You were sitting at your desk when a stack of papers was thrown on your desk.
“There are 8 typos, fix them.” was all he said before he walked off.
“Not again.” your work friend, seethed “what is it this time.“ She didn’t look up from her computer as you flipped through the pages.
My office, now secretary ;). Followed by a whole bunch of gibberish that lasted several pages.
“I’ll go talk to him” you rolled your eyes, taking the pile with you. You walked into his office. “Okay sir-” you began, walking through the door. You closed it behind you. “What seems to be the-”
Before you could talk any more, you felt his hand trail under your skirt. You felt his breathy laugh on the back of your neck.
“I was hoping...we could go over your reports last week. I don’t think we got enough done, do you?”
(I was on a deadline....BUT I DID IT, my head is POUNDING)

Bad Day || Douxie x Reader || One Shot
Summary: Title says it all
Warning: None
Word count: 2,293
You were really tired of customers today. But you had to get over the fact that you were working at a bookstore. The place you used to worked at, Stuart Electronics, the owner said that he didn’t need any employees, since he could manage the customers by himself. Plus, he didn’t get many customers. If he didn’t earn enough money from the shop, Stuart would just get his taco truck out and earn money from there. But you just took it as he fired you. You were fine with that. But you were definitely not fine with having to deal with customers everyday. Stuart always let you deal with the storage stuff.
“Y/n? Hello? Anyone home?” a familiar British accent spoke, getting you out of your thoughts.
“Huh? Yeah, I’m home,” you replied.
“You’re not home, you doofus. You’re at the bookstore. Home is upstairs,” Douxie chuckled.
“Uh, yeah,” you said.
“Y/n, you have to focus. I’ll take care of the front. Can you go to the back and get 5 books from the new shipment box that arrived a few days ago?” Douxie asked.
You nodded and walked to the back, grabbing the books that Douxie requested.
After about an hour, Douxie finally closed up the shop.
“Finally! I’m so done!” you sighed and plopped yourself down onto an armchair.
“Yep! Just another day of our casual life,” Douxie agreed, walking over to the counter and counting the money we earned today.
“Don’t you get tired of working everyday?” you asked.
“Nah, I don’t. Why?” Douxie replied.
“I just can’t, I get bored very easily, if you haven’t realised yet,” you replied.
“I think I now that. I’ve known for almost a millennium now!” Douxie laughed.
Then Archie came flying down, and onto you lap.
“How was your day y/n?” Archie asked.
“Hmm... let’s see. Boring, tiring, oh and have I said boring?” you replied.
“I believe you have,” Archie replied.
“Well, yeah. I’m kinda getting bored from the bookstore,” you whined.
“Please, it’s not that boring,” Douxie said, getting a stool and sitting in front of you.
“It’s boring to me, as you already know,” you said.
“How about we go upstairs?” Archie asked.
“That’s a good idea,” you agreed getting up.
The three of you walked upstairs, and to the back. Douxie pulled an ancient book out of its place just a bit. Slowly, the whole shelf slid away, revealing a huge room. That ‘huge room’ was your apartment.
You and Douxie shared an apartment together, since the two of you only had each other and Archie of course.
You walked to the kitchen and opened the fridge. You looked around, not much, just a milk carton, eggs, salmon and some vegetables. You groaned and slammed the door shut.
“Someone’s a bit grumpy,” Douxie teased.
“Technically, I’m hangry,” you corrected him.
“Let me guess, no food?” Douxie asked, but he already knew the answer.
“Yep! I’m not making pasta again, cause that’s all we’ve been eating for the last week,” you forewarned.
“Okay, okay. What about we go to Mr. Benoit’s?” Douxie suggested.
You looked at him briefly, and rushed into your room, slamming the door shut behind. You quickly got changed into a hoodie and a pair of jeans. You combed your h/l (hair length) h/c hair and tied it into a pony tail (if you have short hair, then it’s just left out). You rushed out of the room to see Douxie ready to go.
“Come on, let’s go,” Douxie said.
The two of you walked to the cafe and sat at a table outside. A waiter came and took your order.
“So, have you found another place to work?” Douxie asked out of the blue.
“W-What do you mean?” you asked.
“I thought you would be searching for another place to work at, since you clearly don’t like working at the shop,” Douxie explained.
“Am I that convincing?” you asked.
Douxie looked at you confused. You sighed.
“Douxie, look, I actually really love working at the bookstore. I might sound like I hate it, but I actually really love it there. I might get bored sometimes, since I’m at the counter, working with the customers. I don’t want to work anywhere else,” you explained.
“But you were complaining like 20 minutes ago!” Douxie exclaimed.
“Can’t anyone have a bad day?” you laughed.
But when you saw Douxie’s face, you instantly stopped laughing.
“Uh, Doux. You good?” you asked.
“You had a bad day?” Douxie whispered to himself, making sure you couldn’t hear him.
“Douxie?” you asked.
“I’m fine,” Douxie replied and fell silent.
“Okay,” you said, and turned to see the waiter with food.
The dinner went good, but none of you said anything to the other. The walk home was also very quiet. When you had gotten to your apartment, the two of you just wished each other good night and went to your rooms. You wondered why Douxie was so quiet through the whole dinner. You shook the thought off and concluded that he just must’ve been tired. You changed into your night wear and fell asleep.
Douxie on the other hand, was at his desk, planning for the next day.
“Douxie, what are you doing? Aren’t you supposed to be asleep?” Archie asked.
“Arch, y/n never told me she had a bad day today,” Douxie said.
“Well, everyone has a bad day every once in a while,” Archie shrugged.
“Arch, you’re not getting the point. Whenever I have a bad day, y/n is always there for me. She would make me my favourite food, play a few songs on her piano or would just talk to me. Either way, she always eventually makes my bad day better,” Douxie explained.
Archie was catching on what Douxie was trying to say.
“And there’s me. Today she had a bad day, and what did I do? Nothing,” Douxie said.
“So your planning something for her?” Archie asked.
“Exactly! Tomorrow, I’m going to make her day the best. I’ll take her to a nice place for breakfast, go out of town and have a picnic. Then, I’m going to take her to the cinema’s at night, where we’ll watch Danger House. After the movie, we’ll grab something from the taco truck and then head home!” Douxie explained his plan.
“Why not also confess your feelings for her as well?” Archie added.
“Wait what?!” Douxie gasped.
“You heard me right, Douxie. I’ve seen the way you look at her and the way she looks at you. But the both of you are so oblivious,” Archie said.
“What if she rejects me?” Douxie asked.
“That’s what has been stopping you from confessing your feelings to her. Just trust yourself, Doux,” Archie said, and walked out of the room.
After Archie left, Douxie got into bed but before he feel asleep he promised himself that he’ll confess his feelings to you tomorrow.
The next day, you got up and walked into the kitchen. But before you got to the fridge, Douxie stopped you.
“Stop right there, love,” Douxie said.
“Why? Are you the police?” you joked.
“No, but we’re going to go to a cafe for breakfast,” Douxie announced.
“But-” you started but were cut off by Douxie.
“No buts or ifs. Now get ready, I’ll meet you downstairs,” Douxie said, pushing you into the bathroom, handing you your towel.
You quickly took a shower and got dressed into an off-the-shoulder shirt and ripped jeans.
Once you were downstairs, you saw Douxie holding the door open for you. You smiled and walked outside. Douxie closed the shop and the two of you walked to Mr. Benoit’s.
The two of you had breakfast. It was a pretty good one. Douxie did a trick to make the coffee cold, which made the waiter go and get a another cup. Douxie kept on doing that, until you were crying from laughing. After breakfast, the two of you went out of town in Douxie’s car. Douxie didn’t tell you the place but it was beautiful. The two of you explored around the mountains and alleyways. After that, the two of you had a picnic. He had brought sandwiches, a pie and juice. The two of you chatted away while eating your food. The two of you then looked at the clouds pass by, pointing out shapes, animals or anything you could make out.
“Hey, do you see that cat. It looks like Archie,” Douxie pointed to a cloud.
You tried to find it but you couldn’t.
“Where?” you asked.
“There,” Douxie replied, grabbing your hand and pointing to the cloud.
While you were looking for the cat, Douxie was looking at you. You looked cute when you tried to look for something. He just couldn’t get his eyes of you.
After a while, you gave up looking and turned around to see Douxie staring at you. You blushed at the way he was looking at you.
“Doux? You home?” you asked, waving your hand in front of him.
“Huh? Yeah, I’m at home,” Douxie replied.
“Your not home, you magical doofus. Your at... well I don’t know where we are actually,” you tried to joke.
Unfortunately, you couldn’t since you had no idea where the two of you were. Only Douxie knew. Douxie started to crack up, noticing your joke didn’t turn out too well. You playfully glared at him, trying to be angry.
Douxie then slowly stopped laughing.
“You know you look very cute when your angry,” Douxie commented.
You blushed at his comment.
“And even more cute when you were trying to look for the cat cloud. Even more when your focused on your work. Whenever your trying to get a recipe right, whenever your trying to get Archie to give your belongings back,” Douxie continued.
“Well... I... um... thank you,” you said, blushing even more. “Why are you all of a sudden saying these things?” you ask.
“Because I want to tell you the truth. You’re very kind, caring, selfless and much more. I’m so lucky to have you in my life, y/n. You’re always looking out for Archie and me. I-I love you y/n l/n,” Douxie confessed.
You looked at him wide eyed. You always had feelings for him, but you never knew he had feelings for you as well. You looked into his hazel eyes, while he looked into your e/c eyes. Slowly the two of you leaned forward. As you got closer, you slowly closed your eyes. Then, your lips touched. The kiss was soft and passionate. The two of you pulled away, looking into each other’s eyes.
“I love you too, Hisirdoux Casperan,” you said.
The two of you then continued cloud watching, while you leaned your head on his shoulder and his on top. The two of you watched the sunset and returned to Arcadia.
“So, did you have a good day, my love?” Douxie asked.
“Yes, thank you Douxie,” you replied.
“Well, what about we go watch Danger House?” Douxie said, holding up two tickets.
“Really?! I’ve been wanting to watch that for ages!” you squeal.
Douxie chuckled at your excitement. He drove to Lucia.
The two of you walked into the cinema, hand in hand. You two watched Danger House together. There were some scenes you didn’t want to see, so you hid your face in Douxie’s shoulder.
After the movie, the two of you were walking out of the cinema, when you saw Stuart’s taco truck.
“Doux, you hungry?” you ask, tugging on his arm.
“Well, now that you mention it, love, I am,” Douxie chuckled, looking down to his stomach.
“Let’s go to Stuart’s taco truck,” you suggested, pulling him behind you.
The two of you walked over to the taco truck. You saw Jim, Claire, Toby, Steve, Aja, Krel and Eli, all grabbing burritos.
“Hey, it’s Douxie and y/n!” Toby shouted, pointing to you and Douxie.
“Hi Toby,” you greeted.
“Hey,” the others greeted.
“Don’t you all have school to go to tomorrow?” Douxie asked, walking over to the truck and ordering.
“Well, yeah. But we all just came back from trollhunting and we’re starving,” Toby replied.
“That’s a reasonable excuse,” you nodded.
“What have you two been up to?” Steve asked, wiggling his eyebrows.
“Nothing. Just went out of town and just watched Danger House,” Douxie replied, handing you a burrito.
“Nothing else?” Claire teased.
“Uh... nope,” you and Douxie answer, nervously.
“Sure, sure,” Jim teased.
“You too, Jim?” you gasped.
“What can I do? You two are fun to tease, since you two haven’t even said ‘I love you’ yet,” Jim shrugged.
“Technically, we already did,” Douxie grinned.
“Wait, what!” all the kids exclaim.
“Spill!” Claire and Aja begged.
“Maybe another time guys. I’m sorry, but we got to go,” Douxie said, pulling you towards the bookstore.
They all started to whine, but they all eventually stopped and waved bye.
You and Douxie walked into the bookstore and were greeted by Archie.
“So... how was your day?” Archie asked.
“The best!” you replied.
“So did Douxie...” Archie started.
“Yeah,” you and Douxie finished.
“Finally! I was getting so tired of looking at the two of you!” Archie cheered.
The three of you laughed and made your way to your apartment.
You were going to close your bedroom door when Douxie stopped you.
“Uh, Douxie, what are you doing?” you asked.
“I came to give you a goodnight kiss, duh,” Douxie replied.
You rolled your eyes. He quickly gave you a peck on your lips and wished you goodnight. You closed your door and jumped into bed. Today was the best day of your life.

The Boyfriend Introduction
George Weasley x Reader
This is an entry for @wonderful-writer ‘s Ficmas Writing Challenge
Prompts: “Exactly how many people did you invite over for Christmas dinner?”
Tropes No.6. There’s only one bed
Trope No.8. Snowed in
BG: Will George make a good first impression on your strict parents over Christmas Dinner? What happens when prying muggle relatives are added to the mix? No magic is allowed, and a heavy snowstorm trapped everyone inside. What was supposed to last a couple of hours had stretched overnight. Will your family approve of George? Or will he be trapped with people who dislike him for the night?
A/N: This took almost a month to write. Started this with my writing motivation streak on high. Then the burnout came, I could write nor even read. Now I’m slowly trying to get back into the mood. Yea I realized that it’s not super Christmasy. But I hope that you enjoy it all the same.
WC:3352
>>>MASTERLIST<<<
‘Okay, you remember everything?’ You had just finish debriefing George on the what to expect when you arrive home later. What your parents likes and dislikes, what the home dynamic is, etcetera, brownie points to note to make sure he lands on your parent’s good side-you want your boyfriend’s first impression to be perfect!
‘Yes love, EVERYTHING. We’ve gone over this 3 times already, trust me it’s all up here’ George said, tapping a finger against his temple. ‘At this rate, I am more scared for them as it would be a total stranger knew everything about them!’ He pointed out.
‘Hey, you’re not a total stranger, they’ve met you before!’ You countered.
‘For only a couple of minutes, plus Fred was with us that time, I doubt they could have differentiated between us from that short time alone.’
Recalling back to the end of the summer holidays when your family had bumped into the Weasleys and Harry while school supplies shopping at Diagon Alley. You were just leaving of Flourish and Blotts while they were headed in. You had dropped your brand-new books and the twins had helped you pick them up. You had exchanged a quick thank you before hurried leaving to catch the bus back to muggle London.
Your parents had gratefully allowed you to spend the holidays at The Burrow, but only after they had met the boyfriend who you could never stop talking about. Majority of your letters back home consisted of gushing about how wonderful and sweet George is, so naturally your parents were curious and intrigued to finally meet this handsome fellow.
They had arranged for a Christmas Eve Dinner at home before you depart for The Burrow later in the evening.
‘You know, you still haven’t told me how you got your parents to let you spend the Christmas holiday with us.’ Quipped George. ‘I thought your dad was pretty strict.’ The Hogwarts Express had started slowing down, nearing its destination of Platform 9 ¾.
‘Yea but I guess it the real gamechanger was Mr.Weasley. The last I heard was that they started hanging out during breaks in the Ministry. It started out as a reconnaissance of some sort-the basic background check if the boy dating my daughter is good enough. Which then blossomed into friendship.’ You lean back against the train compartment window, giving him more space to reach up to the luggage rack overhead.
‘Really?’
‘Really.’
‘George! Y/n! Over here!’ Ginny yelled. She was standing near the trolleys, surrounded with a group of redheads.
Once you reached her, she wrapped you in a tight embrace. ‘I’m going to miss you.’
You chuckled, patting the girl’s shoulder. ‘Gin, I’m only be gone for a couple hours, we’ll be back by midnight.’
‘Yea, but til then I’ll be stuck with these dofusses.’ She winced, nodding towards the direction of her brothers.
‘Hey!’ exclaimed Ron.
Ignoring him, Ginny continued. ‘You know how time drags with these idiots. Why couldn’t I just come with?’
‘No you aren’t young lady.’ Stated Mrs.Weasley, making her way pass her children. ‘This is a very important occasion, meeting the parents. George has to make a good impression to y/n parents.’ She turned to the younger twin, hands on her waist. ‘So. NO funny business okay? I expect you to be on your best behaviour.’ She warned.
George raised 3 fingers up. ‘Yes ma’am. I promise.’
Mrs Weasley knew that despite George’s playful response, would keep this promise. Afterall she knew her children at heart. Recognises George’s coping tactics for nerves is through humour.
‘Alright then. I’ll see you later.’ Hugging you then her son. ‘Oh before I forget, we’ll take your luggage back with us so that it’ll be easier for you to get home. Fred! Percy! Come help me with these!’
‘Thank you Mrs.Weasley for-‘
‘Molly dear, call me Molly. I’ve known you for years now, you’re basically part of the family.’
You can feel your face warm up. ‘Thanks…Mrs…. I mean Molly for everything.’
‘No worries dear. Just be careful, I heard that it’ll snow more later.’
‘We will Mum.’ Replied George, placing a kiss on her check. ‘Don’t worry.’
You held your hand out to George. ‘Ready for your first ever ride on a muggle double decker bus?’
‘Oh yes.’ He nodded, interlocking his hands with yours.
~
‘Mum! I’m home!’ You shake off the snow that had stuck onto your boots before entering.
‘In here Dumpling!’ said a distant voice.
‘Dumpling huh?’ George teased; a smirk plastered on his face.
You were glad to see him calm down. ‘yea yea.’
‘Care to tell me why?’
‘Nope. Now get your butt in here.’
The house though small is full of life. Walls are lined with picture frames of the family together and along the hallway are frames of each member throughout the years.
You follow the fragrant smell of citrus in the air coming from the kitchen.
You head towards the opened refrigerator. ‘Merry Christmas Eve Mum!’ You greeted but were surprised to see someone else. ‘Dad! What are you doing here?’
‘What do you mean? It’s MY house!’ He resorted, taken aback.
‘You know what I mean.’
‘They let us off early in the Ministry.’
‘He means he left early’ Chimed your mother.
‘Perks of being the head of the department.’ He says nonchalantly, releasing you from a airtight embrace.
Your eyes light up. ‘You got the promotion?’ You asked, your father standing proud with a dazzling smile. ‘Congratulations Dad!’
‘Now now, this evening is not about me.’ His eyes dart to the tall boy behind you. The boy whose face showed apparent awkwardness during the mini intimate family catch up. ‘I don’t believe we’ve formally met. y/f/n yf/l/n.’ Extending his hand.
‘george..’ George cleared his throat. ‘George Weasley ,Sir. Pleasure to meet you Sir.’ George wondered if his hand had sweat more, feeling that your father was gripping his tight. Before his mind were to go down that rabbithole, he turned to your mother. ‘M’am..’
‘No please, call me y/m/n.’ Your mother insisted. ‘It’s nice to finally meet you George, we’ve heard so much about you.’ She leaned in close, whispering. ‘Between you and me, most of our dumpling’s letters here are about you!’ She looks over her shoulder to make sure, they aren’t overheard. Thankful you are preoccupied with dad. ‘It’s great to finally have a face to the name!’ Taking a more solemn tone she continued. ‘Listen you take good care of her okay, she doesn’t let anyone in her emotions easily, so you must be special.’
Just as fast as it came, she was back to normal. George would have thought that he imagined that whole exchange if it weren’t from the gleam in your mother’s eyes.
‘Right then.’ She clapped her hands together. ‘y/f/n, my love. Why don’t you give George here a tour of the house. Then help y/n and I when you’re done.’
‘On it my love.’ Your father replied, pecking your mother’s cheek. ‘George! I’m told you love inventing, so why don’t we start on with my study, I bet there’s a lot of things you’d find interesting.’ Said your father, leading George up the kitchen and up the stairs.
Once they rounded out the corner, your mother was instantly at your side, bumping your hips. ‘He seems like a nice boy. Quieter than I expected.’
‘Yea, He’ll get into the zone later.’ You noted. ‘Give him time and when he’s comfortable, he’ll be more like himself. He’ll really nervous, that’s all.’
‘I know.’
That made curious. ‘You know?’
‘Oh yess.’ Your mother sighed. ‘Your father had that exact same face when he first went to meet Grannie and Grandpops.’
‘Really?’ How had she never shared this story before?
‘umm hmm’ She reminisced. ‘It’s good that his reaction is like that. It shows that one’s scared and anxious, wanting to impress and give a good first impression.’
When she saw how lost you look, she held your chin up, elaborating. ‘It means that he cares. That it’s a big important deal, meeting the parents.’
~
It’s been a hour already since your father had dragged George off, to what you believe as a house tour disguised as a boyfriend interrogation. Truth be told you were scared out of your mind, you never had brought home a boy before so you didn’t know what to expect, this is unknown territory.
The growing sounds of footsteps and…laughter? Surely that was a good sign.
‘Woah that is a lot of food. Exactly how many people did you invite over for Christmas dinner?’ George had come up behind you, with a hand on your lower back- touchy as if warming up and testing the waters on how much physical touch he could get away with, with your parents in the room.
‘A lot.’ You replied, angling up to poke his cheek. ‘You’re not the only one with a big family, Weasley’
‘I thought you were only 4 of you?’
‘well, my mom’s side of the family is coming.’ You explained, counting them on your fingers. ‘So that’s includes my grandparents, aunts and uncles and their family-my cousins.’
‘why only your mom’s side?’ George was genuinely confused, isn’t Christmas all about getting together with family?
You chuckled. ‘oh it’s a funny story actually…’
‘More like an almost disastrous story.’ Cut in your father. ‘See my brother is a lightweight but every Christmas he tries to outdrink himself. And one Christmas, things…..got out of hand.’
When your father didn’t explain more, your mother further clarified, taking pity on George’s ever more puzzled look. ‘Long story short, he end up doing magic infront of my family specifically changed into his Animagus form it would be easy to say he just disappeared behind the couch if his animal form was small but his was a tiger- so harder to cover up.’
‘Dad ultimately had to obliviate 7 people’s memories of the past hour. From then on, for long holidays we separate the family into magic vs muggles.’
‘SO remember NO magic!’ Announced your dad. ‘Tonight, we act as Muggles, no magic at all cost. We won’t wanna risk Ministry intervention.’
~
The early Christmas dinner had gone in a blur, the food was quickly devoured by the table of 15. Yes that’s right, 15. Normally the dinner table could expand to accommodate 6 people, but thanks to transfiguration, your father had lengthen it to fit the then arriving guest.
In addition to enjoying the food, your relatives had seized the time to pry into your love life in between bites. The previous years’ answer of “I don’t have a boyfriend” followed by their unwanted input about what you’re doing wrong, was obviously not applicable.
So you ended up being interrogated by your aunt on your right, while George, who was sitting on your left was being questioned by your grandfather.
‘Gee is that the time! We better get going, maw come on dear we don’t want to be caught out of the road by the snowstorm.’ Your grandfather said, helping your grandmother up from her seat. ‘Get the car ready, Finn.’
At that, everyone began to get pack up. Usually you would all stay up for more talks, but under the threat of a looming snowstorm, it was better to be safe than sorry.
~
‘Alright dumpling, got everything?’ Your mother wondered, straightening up your coat.
‘Yup’ You replied, all snuggled up. You didn’t bother telling her that the coat wasn’t necessary as you would be apparating back to the Burrow- you knew how much she hated the tension apparition causes to one’s temples.
‘George..’ She said, now moving towards the quiet young man who had once again caught himself a bit out of place in such an intimate family moment. ‘It was really nice to meet you; I do hope that we would get to see you most often now that y/n has formally introduce us.’ She pulled him into a motherly hug. ‘You take care of my dumpling, or else… you’d find out what muggle parents do to those who hurt their children, and I warn you, you magic folks don’t know what’s coming.’
The final warning came and went, and George managed to utter. ‘I promise.’ Before your father came into view, looking more unreadable and stricter than their introductions earlier in the day.
George was terrified, he had thought that things had gone well, surely they had bonded over the guide house tour. Might had he said something wrong during dinner, Grandpa y/l/n sure did ask a lot of questions. George mentally recalled the past couple of hours, where could this all gone sideways.
To his surprise he was greeted with an outstretched hand. ‘You’re a good lad, George.’ Remarked your father, ‘Oh and you can call me y/f/n.’
Both your and George’s eyes go wide.
‘Thank you, sir! I mean…’ George was still nervous, a part of him thinking that this was a secret test. ‘y/f/n, sir. Thank you’ Tried George, the tips of his ears red.
Your father chuckled at the hesitant boy, ‘In time you will get the hang of that’ He turned to you. ‘That is.. if y/n is willing to for us to join you two in the future. The dinner might have frightened you off, sorry for that.’ Your father wrapped an arm around your mother, ‘Perhaps the next time could be with MY side of the family…’
At that moment the doorbell rang.
‘Now who could that be?’ Voiced your mother. ‘Mum, Dad!’
‘Bad News dearie, Roads and Highways are closed for the night-Too much snow.’ Explained your grandfather, barging into the warm house. ‘We’ll have to stay the night.’
‘Uh! George my boy, you are still here! Great! Pa look who it is!’ Cheered your grandfather, pinching his arm (His cheeks were too high up to reach). Leaving George’s right sleeve with specks of melting snow. ‘Though I am afraid we would get to chatting in the morning, sleep is calling me.’
But before George would reply that he wouldn’t be here in the morning, your father interjected. ‘Yes yes of course, the guestroom is ready as always. Have a good night’s rest nannie.’ Looking past her to the doorway he shouted. ‘Finn you can take the couch, we’ll give you some blankets in a sec.’
He gestured for you both to follow him into the dinning room. You quickly followed suit, panicking as to how in the world could you apparate to the burrow while presenting a valid reason to your grandparents in 2 young person’s disappearance overnight when the is a heavy snowstorm raging on.
‘I wouldn’t suggest apparating tonight’ He huffed. ‘Unless of course if you don’t mind popping back in again tomorrow morning.’
You shook your head. You were not an earlier riser, besides spending the night in the burrow when had to be back home first thing would be wise, you would be just exhausting yourself.
‘Good. I’ll notify Arthur of our situation. Now unto the other thing….’ He raised a brow at George. ‘Since that the spare room and the couch are taken, it would be rude to ask a guest to rest in a more comfortable place..’
You internally groaned, you kinda had an idea where this conversation was headed to but gosh was it in the parents handbook to deliver to so awkwardly?
‘…you are bot old enough and trust both of you. So, George if you don’t mind, you would be spending the night in y/n’s room.’
You dared risked a quick glance at your boyfriend and you could tell that he was trying not to smirk.
George in fact was trying his best not to smile, biting the insides of his cheek to stop himself.
‘So no funny business.’
‘Yes Sir.’ George didn’t dare call him, y/f/n. Not at this moment, even if he was granted the permission.
~
‘So….This is me.’ Presenting your room. ‘It’s not much, but-‘
‘It’s beautiful.’ George cut you off. There wasn’t much going on, seeing that you spend majority of the year in Hogwarts and only a month or two at home. A single bed next to the window overlooking the road, a small desk, a wardrobe with a mirrored door and 2 bookshelves. Plain white walls decorated with a small makeshift photo wall of your most cherished memories.
Spotting the photos next to your bookshelf, he chortled. ‘It’s really sweet of you, I feel honoured.’ He turned to you. ‘But this one? Seriously??!!?’ Pointing at the photograph.
It was of the yule ball. The relationship wasn’t official yet, it was still teetering on the side of best friends but with something more or so Fred calls ‘Y/n and George’s Era of Mutual Pining’.
The shot was of you in your gown, not so elegantly piggybacking on George, who was mid fall. Despite it all, you were both laughing your heads off. Ginny had taken that picture with your muggle camera. Something about it being developed as a standstill compared to the moving wizard photos adds charm to it, further highlighting such a moment.
‘I for one love it.’ You declared, leaning your head on his shoulder.
‘We do look nice together.’ He teased. ‘But gosh that is a bit unflattering, don’t you think? It looks like we’re drunk!’
‘Drunk on love you mean.’ Nudging his side. ‘Though we haven’t admitted it then.’
George squinted closer, ‘Wait a minute! It’s not moving!’
‘Yup, don’t want any muggle walking in a moving photo. But more importantly, it’s forever captures the moment of ‘I am in love with my best friend, a person who would never let me fall.’
‘Expect to fall in love, with your truly.’
‘Exactly.’ In moments like these, where no one else in the room, does George lets his sappy cheesy side on full blast and you love it. It’s as if a top-secret surprise that is for your eyes only.
‘Now come to bed with me.’ You reach for his hand, dragging him to your tiny bed. ‘I’m tired’
‘Love as much as I want to, I don’t think we’d fit.’ Eyeing the bed. ‘One of us will fall off- most probably me.’
Taking one of you pillows he said ‘ I’ll just lay down here.’
‘Nuh uh, not in my house. You are my boyfriend and my guest! No way am I letting you sleep on the floor!’ You argued. ‘Come cuddle with me, pleaseeeeeeee’ Giving him your best pout. ‘We have had any alone time, the whole day! Pleaseeeee babe! ’
George shook his head, knowing that the was no way that he could ever say ‘NO’ to you. He did miss his girl and after an exhaustive day practically being interrogated by multiple family member, he was grateful to finally spend time with you. ‘Alright.’ Giving into your request. ‘Scoot over and let me engulf you into a world of softness.’
Your head was resting on George’s chest, bopping along with his each intake of breath. The snow outside is still pouring but the all the noise is silenced as you focus in his heartbeat. Tilting up slightly you pipped. ‘You comfortable Georgie?’
George wrapped his arms around you tighter. ‘I’m good anywhere with you.’ He placed a final kiss on your forehead before exhaustion take you both away to dreamland.
~
Bonus:
The sun had come up, casting a warm glow onto the white blanked pavement.
Still drained from the day before, neither of you had woken up to your bedroom door opening.
‘Merry Christmas Y/n dearie! Nannie has bought you your favourite hot choco—’ Your grandmother stopped in her tracks upon seeing 2 angels tangled together with smiles etched on their sleeping faces. Reminding her of own younger days.
She leaves the mug on your desk, quietly shut the door. Once out on the hallway, she quickly makes her way to her husband, eager to tell him what he just saw and excited to come up with more questions they could interrogate George with-only the best for their granddaughter!

Body Swap with S/O
Ejirou Kirishima-
Anytime you hung out with your boyfriend Ejirou, or Kiri as you usually called him, you two would mainly cuddle or sleep. “Hey pebbles, could you imagine if we swapped bodies for the week?” He asks, you laugh. He sits up, “I’m being serious! What if we swap bodies, what would you do?” You sit up slowly, looking at him with a confused look. “Hm, well first I would see how your quirk works!” You start, he smiles. His quirk was simple but yet fascinating to you. Whenever it came down to it, it was definitely much better than your quirk of gigantism. Or basically turning yourself into a giant with giant like strength.
After that night, you woke up with an horrendous headache. You slowly blink, to get the sleep out of your eyes. When you did, you seen Kiri’s messy dorm. Obviously you were confused, but you thought you fallen asleep in his dorm. When you sat up, stretching, you saw yourself in the mirror. You immediately screamed, “oh shit!” You scream, getting the attention of everyone down the hall. “What’s wrong shitty hair!” Bakugou yells, you can tell he was woken up from that. “Yeah bro, what’s wrong?” Denki says as well, you look horrified. “I- No way I’m Kiri right now!” You exclaim, the guys looked confused and said, “uh yeah you are.” Thats when you hear a scream and walls breaking. Oh no, please tell me he didn’t discover your quirk.
As you and others ran out, you seen your body grow into a giant and accidentally knocking over walls. “I didn’t mean to! I swear!” Kiri says, Aizawa is trying to get him to stop and honestly it was a failed attempt. So that’s when you see his scarf unravel and he gets wrapped up, or you technically. “(L/N), with me now.” He says, already fed up. You follow behind, desperately trying to explain the situation. “Ejirou not now, I have to deal with (Y/N) right now.” He says turning to you, “but Mr. Aizawa, we have a problem!” You tell him, panicking. He sighed, taking you and Kiri into his classroom, “explain.” You and Kiri look at each other, “woah I look that good!” Kiri said, you laughed while Aizawa rolled his eyes. “But seriously sir, we woke up like this!” He exclaims, you nod in agreement.
After some failed attempts at explaining, it came to conclusion that you two were pranked by this one kid who had the body swapping quirks. Turns out the kid had something against Kirishima for a stupid party he threw, but then again you weren’t expecting it. The effects lasted about a week, a very long week. All the teachers made sure you didn’t go to class or really do much so you don’t get the other person in trouble for something stupid you did. It was definitely a major memory you couldn’t forget, but Kiri made it so enjoyable. He would mess around with your quirk and actually taught you how to use his! There is no other person you would rather switch bodies with.
Izuku Midoriya-
You had the body swapping quirk! You could swap bodies with anyone at any point, but the bad thing is you can’t choose how long you stay in that body is randomized. You and your boyfriend Deku were in his dorm. You were laying on his bed while he was writing something in his notebook. “Babe, you realize one day you’re going to run out of pages right?” You ask, you hear him laugh. “That’s why you get more! Plus I want to learn more about your quirk!” He says, you smile. It’s amazing to see how he gets interested in your quirk.
After talking, you both decided to swap bodies. “Are you sure Deku? I don’t know how long it’ll last.” You say, anytime you did this, you always stayed cautious. He nodded his head and grabbed your hand. You closed your eyes and that’s when the process begun. It stung, that’s one of the main reasons you tried to do it little as possible. But once you can get it mastered, you’ll be powerful. You both hit the floor, for what felt like hours when in reality it was only a minute. Deku rubbed his eyes, now in your body, looking down at himself. “Woah! No way!” He says, looking at you, who is now in his body. You looked around, moving green hair out of your face. You laugh as you see how excited he is. He immediately grabbed his notebook and started to write about the experience.
Everyone knew you switched bodies, for the main reason of everyone heard you and plus he still acted like himself, but in your body. Once your body was in use of the quirk, it was basically quirkless so that other person can’t do anything. As time went on, you were wondering when you were going to switch back. The record time was 1 day, 5 hours, 33 minutes, and 52 seconds. This time it was already much longer, anytime you stayed in a body for a long amount of time you felt anxious and confused. “You can’t change back?” Deku asked, trying to calm you down. “No! I’ve been trying!” You say, trying to take deep breaths. He rubs your back, “it’ll be okay honey, I promise.”
He stayed by your side that whole time, especially when the effects hit you hard. When you woke up again, that next morning. You felt normal, as if you were yourself again. You were in your own dorm, wearing your own clothes, when you looked in the mirror, it was you. You felt as you could of cried tears of joy, you ran out of your dorm going to Izuku’s. Before he even got a chance to say a word, you hugged him tightly. “It wasn’t that bad being me was it?” He asked, you shook your head no. But he understood, it is a huge pressure plus he was even feeling the side effects. After that, you didn’t try that experiment again, you would in training but only when you were able to somewhat control the amount of time you were in that body.
Katsuki Bakugou-
You two have been dating for a while, anytime there was a mission you went together. You fought together, and protected each other. There was no buts about it, it was so Bakugou could be there for you no matter what. It was sweet, expect when it came to certain villains who would target one of you specifically.
This time, it was the villain named Rapid Doctor. He was a medical student whenever he first started being a villain, then he can cause people’s bodies to switch rapidly so that’s how the name Rapid Doctor came into being. “Ha! You think you can stop me?” He yells, his voice booming. Katsuki immediately grabbed you and put you behind him. You had the quirk of dark shadow, you could summon a dark shadow to help you fight. It’s better as defensive but, you still fought anyways. “You won’t get away with this!” You yell, that’s when he hits you and Katsuki with a beam. You both fall back, hitting the pavement. “Damnit!” Katsuki yells, you look over at him.
Wait a minute, you don’t remember falling off to the left where Bakugou did. That was your body, you glanced down at yourself, seeing you were in Bakugou’s. “Bakugou, Wait-!” You say, trying to get his attention before he gets up. But it was too late, he was already trying to fight back. “Damnit, why isn’t my fucking quirk working!?” He yells, you immediately got up and yelling back “He switched our bodies! You have my quirk!” Rapid Doctor laughter was booming, it could be heard all through out of the city. “What!?” Katsuki stops and looks at you, before you get a chance to say anything, the villain hits him and throws him across the pavement. You felt a fire in your hands, you started to use his quirk and throwing explosives at the villain. Once others got there and took it over, you ran to Bakugou. “Please be okay, please be okay.” You whisper to yourself, over and over again.
Thankfully he was, but on the bad side of news. You guys were stuck like this for around a week, it was definitely tougher to handle his quirk than yours. “Dumbass, how does the shadow thing work?” He asks, looking at his, technically yours, hands. You laugh and give him a run down, after a week you woke up in your own body again. Bakugou was happy that he was in his own body again, but it felt weird not having you around all the time. This is what started the tradition of spending nights with each other for majority of the week!
Shoto Todoroki-
You and Shoto out for a date! It was a rainy date, so he had his jacket covering your head as you ran across the street to get inside. “Okay! How about we try something new!” You say, looking at the menu. You both were trying this new Sushi restaurant in town, you never saw anyone there so you both decided why not try it.
As you sat down, ordering, you came across something on the menu that was definitely odd. “Hey babe, look at this.” You say pointing to it, it was a sushi roll that had colors of the galaxies, like blue, purple, pink, etc. “Hmm.” He says in response, reading it. You read it off, “the sushi roll perfect for the perfect pair, this will cause you to learn more about each other.” You look up at him, “I say let’s try it!” He nods and smiles in response, whenever you ordered, the rolls came out quick. They had a smell of lavender and a blend of sage, whenever you both took a bite, you don’t remember much after that. All you remember is you went to your own dorm.
That next morning you woke up in Todoroki’s dorm, you sigh, rubbing the sleep out of your eyes. When you looked over at Todoroki, he was- wait what? He was in your body, that can’t be right. When you looked down, you realized that you were in his body. Oh my god, that sushi roll! You grab his shoulders and shake him until he’s awake, he yawns and looks at you. After a moment, realization hits and he sits up quickly. “(Y/N), why are you me? And why am I you?” He asks, clearly panicking. “I have no idea! All I remember is those sushi rolls!” You exclaim, he grabs your hand. “What if it was those rolls? Maybe they put something in there.” He says calmly, thinking about it. Soon as you guys got up, you were dressed and headed off to the sushi place. Whenever you got there, it was gone!
“I- What?” You say in confusion, almost breaking down. “We’re going to be like this forever!” You say, starting to cry. He grabs you and pulls you into a tight hug, “shhh, it’s okay.” He says quietly. After that, you both decided to wait it out since there was no trace of the restaurant or the owners. After a week and a half, you finally woke up in your own bodies. You finally understood each other to a level that you couldn’t imagine of reaching. That made your relationship so much stronger, and now you stick to your regular sushi place.
I hope you liked this one! I was trying to come up with ideas for it 😅
I hope you have a great day! :)

Part 3 I Questions?
Part 2 II Series masterlist II Part 4
Back in your class. the professor in front of you was talking about parasites. The last lecture for the day had passed with a series of slides filled with “fascinating” illustrations. With your back hurting, you subtly stretch your body; careful not to draw unnecessary attention. It was a long day, yet it was only two in the afternoon.
“Thank goodness I have time to relax,” your lazy self has emerged once again.
The click of your dorm door and the welcoming presence of your bed was the greatest feeling ever. Painfully switching your attention, you prepare for a quick shower. You took your phone to put on your bed, took some clothes to change into afterwards, then proceeded to head to your floor’s communal bathroom.
As the water was pouring down on you, thoughts invaded your head. It had been the other day that you were hired for a huge job. They still haven’t reached back out yet and you aren’t able to do anything regarding the job since you had no idea what to do. They… or Tsukishima rather, hadn’t contacted you despite saying he will—within a day or two. It had almost been 48 hours.
“Why am I such an over-thinker?”
You recover and assure yourself that it was all fine. It’s out of your control anyway. They can message you anytime. After all, you had given him your number.
Finished, you dry yourself up and change into your fresh clothes before heading out and back to your room.
You're greeted by the presence of your roommate sitting on your bed—the bottom bunk.
“Hey,” you called out to her.
“Hello,” she replied, eyes not meeting yours, still occupied with her phone.
Holding your used clothes, you proceeded to fold them and put them away to be washed along with your week-old towel. Now your self-relaxation can begin… but where was your phone?
Lazing around would not be complete without it, you needed to scroll through YouTube comments while watching a video.
“Wait just a minute-,” you face your roomie. “Isabella…”
Whilst sitting on your bed, she gave you a cheeky expression; caught scrolling through your phone. “Sorry. Couldn’t help it. It was just sitting there.”
“How did you even know the password?” A kind of annoyed amazement washed over you. You had nothing to hide anyway so there was no major problem.
“In case you forgot, I live up–” she gestured to the top bunk, “–there.”
“Dumb. Dumb as hell,” You had been careless. She could peek from above.
“Anyway… Who is this guy?” Her tone was teasing with a mischievous face to go along with it. It made you worried.
“What guy–” Oh no. It can’t be. Can it? You grabbed your phone from her and saw why the idiot was smirking. It was a message from Tsukishima.
The message was straight to the point and yet your blockhead roommate still kept giving you knowing looks. She didn’t even know the reason for the message. She was jumping leaps and bounds to conclusions. This, you felt, was not going to go away anytime soon.
“I was hired for another job”
“Yeah, yeah. Sure~” She got up from your bed and languidly went for her desk. “Just don’t mind me, I’ll be studying here...” She dramatically gestures to her small workspace. Facing her, you couldn’t help but feel embarrassed yet wanting to take that grin off her face.
On your bed, you go back to the message. “On Wednesday.” It is a few days from now.
Checking your schedule, you were free on that day and the morning after. The timing though. Well, it wasn’t as if you were complaining, in fact, it was very good news. One less problem for you.
You replied to Tsukishima then. The anxiety was eating you. A simple reply yet so many ways to screw up.
“WHAT. DID I SEND?! Did he really leave me on ‘read’? Anyway~” So that is done. Now to relax. No need for self-criticism.
On Wednesday, nine on the dot, you arrived in front of the museum.
Draped around your neck, you show your loaned ID to the guard and pass through on to the building. Inside, some big boxes and various pieces have been placed on the hallway’s floor.
That must be for the event... wow they are already starting this early on. It again dawned on you how big of an event it is; starting to make preparations this early on. The pressure was beginning to feel real.
“Hello.”
“Oh, that voice again” you turn around to greet him but you didn’t get the chance to.
“(L/N), this is Kazumi Keiko, my fellow intern,” he gestured to the lady beside him. Looking up at her, she seemed friendly, motherly almost; her long hair tied back and with freckles on her face. Although you take it, she was older than you and Tsukishima.
“Hello, nice to meet you Kazumi,” you reply although softly. She smiles a warm smile at you.
“So now we're just waiting for Kazumi’s partner, Ike--- never mind she’s here”
“Hey guyssss!” A female about your age was waving behind the glass doors. Kazumi was gesturing with her hand beckoning the girl to enter. “How come she gets to be partners with Kazumi and I’m with the boy Tsukishima? This will just be utter awkwardness from me I bet,” you try to see the reasoning why it couldn’t have been you partnered with Kazumi.
“Hey, I’m Ikeda, Satsuki,” she was very direct, it caught you off-guard.
“Hi. I’m (L/N), (F/N).”
“Wow, nice name! It’s foreign, I like it. Do you want a Snickers?” Glancing down, she had in her hand a Snickers bar being handed out to you. “Uh, no, no, I’m fine. You--” you got caught off by Kazumi. “(L/N), you better just take that or we’ll be stuck here a long time.”
“Oh ok, sure. Thank you, Ikeda,” you take the Snickers bar from her hand giving her a tight but genuine smile. She returned the gesture. From what you observed, she has a pretty happy-go-lucky character and you realize why Ikeda might be partnered with Kazumi; it was to manage Ikeda, Satsuki.
Tsukishima continued, “So for today Mr. Yasuhiro instructed us all to divide the work and just find a plan around it...”
That meeting ended about 15 minutes ago. Now, you’re walking the streets of Sendai, side-by-side, with the tall man of partner for work. How did it come to this...?
The central matter you discussed was how the work was going to be divided. You and Tsukishima were to handle the main big projection for the event while Team Kazumi will handle multiple small displays around the museum. You didn’t get into too much detail but for now that was it. The details were to be discussed by the pair. Great... By the time your gathering finished it was past noon; late lunch.
“There’s still the rest of the day so I’m bringing Ikeda with me to lunch. We’ll be talking about ‘this’ after.” Kazumi was definitely wasting no time. “How about you guys?” She faced Tsukishima.
Oh no...
“Uh...” he glanced at you. Oh no. No, no. “You don’t have anything to do this afternoon right?”
I have no escape from this. “Yeah, my whole day is free”
“Well, I guess we could all get lunch.” He asked Kazumi now, “Where are you guys going?”
“A Western inspired cafe just a walking distance from here, it just opened so I wanna try it out”
Tsukishima took his coat and bag then went for the door. “Let’s go then.”
“Wait... I still have to buy some things along the way, I want Kazumi to come with me. Can you two go ahead and reserve seats for us?” Ikeda protested, as childish as ever.
Kei halted, “Uh, yeah sure. I don’t see how that’s a problem.”
Not a problem... right.
“(L/N), are you fine with this?” The ever-motherly Kazumi made sure to check up on you.
Without any excuse whatsoever, “Yes, I’m ok with anything guys.” Darn it. Social Interaction.
“Ehem...” After a rather long walk of silence. Tsukishima cleared his throat. “Are you fine there?”
“Hmm...” You glance up at him; not expecting any talk. “Oh yeah, I’m fine here. You?”
“Uh-huh. Same here”
Awkward...but still you continue to walk side-by-side.
“You know, I’m not really a talkative person,” Tsukishima started again, “but Mr. Yasuhiro told me to ‘make an effort’ because you ‘tend to be shy,’” oh, is that how this guy sees me too? Ouch.
“I get what he means but...” he side-glanced to see you, it made your eyes meet his for a small while, “…some people prefer not talking at all and some are uncomfortable doing so. In short... I’m asking you if you would be comfortable with me trying to talk to you...”
Ohhhh... man, this guy is considerate. What a nice person.
“Yes, yeah. I’m really fine with people talking to me first. I just don’t really like to initiate a conversation plus I don’t want to be a nuisance to them... and like you said, I ‘tend to be shy.’”
“So, are you fine if I ask you questions?”
“Yeah, sure. Of course.” You really felt delighted; a person actually respected that not all people are the same in terms of talkativeness. It’s not every day you meet someone like that.
Unbeknownst to you, it was Tsukishima’s goal in earnest to make you comfortable around him; to the best of his ability. You do have to work on a project together after all.
A few moments of walking and you both arrived in the café. True to her word, what Kazumi said by “western inspired” actually really means an absolutely western café.
Tsukishima, the unexpected gentleman, opened the door for you as you both entered. You give him a smile in thanks; he returned a small smile too.
Looking around, it seems like rush-hour has passed and the café is almost empty. That means you don’t have to worry about reserving seats for Kazumi and Ikeda, then.
“Would you prefer seats by, or away from the window?”
You imagined eating by the window as others pass by... “I think away from the window”
“Same here.” He then led you to a table for 4 by the wall. He breezily pulled a chair and motioned for you to sit on it as if it were no big deal.
Oh my. This is kind of flustering.
Tsukishima received a text from Kazumi saying that they’ll be late and to order and eat ahead of them; and so, you both did. A waitress handed you menus then left the both of you to choose your orders. He ordered smoked salmon while you went with lasagna. For dessert he asked you what you wanted but you’d told him you’ll have bobba instead; he got a strawberry shortcake.
“So, while waiting for our food, and Kuzumi, I do have to bring back the fact that we're going to be working together on this project and we barely know each other. So...” across from you, he gives you a “you get where I’m headed with this” look on his face.
You nodded. “Mhmm”
“Right, should we ask each other questions?”
“Yeah, I think that’s the easiest way.”
“Ok, I’ll go first. You’re in university, right? What are you studying?”
“Oh, I’m a veterinary student”
“Oh, wow. That’s very impressive.” You responded with a smile and small chuckle, “Oh, no... not really.”
It was your turn. “If I recall correctly, you are in the museum as an intern. What are you doing if you’re not there?”
“Well, aside from attending school, I also have volleyball to face but that’s all.”
Confused with his vague answer, “Volleyball?”
“Hm... uh,” for the first time ever since you met him, the usually stoic guy looked... bashful. “I play for V.League Division 2,” he looks unsure if you knew what it was and made an attempt to explain it. But when he saw your eyes wide with amazement, he stopped fidgeting with his hands. “I’m taking it that you know what that is...”
You didn’t really dabble too much in sports, volleyball was no exception. Sure, you watched an anime about volleyball; got addicted, and friends mention volleyball from time-to-time too, all that was enough to know what V.League meant. “Now that’s impressive.”
He grinned. “Heh. Well, I don’t really know about that…but now it’s my turn to ask. How did you get into animating?”
“Oh,” you let out a heartfelt laugh, caught unaware of the question.
Hearing it, Kei couldn't help but suppress his blissful smile.
“I always liked animating but it was a friend who forced me to actually do something about it,” remembering your laziness and your pestering friend was a goofy memory but a treasured one.
“Is this the same friend that left you in the museum?”
Joy came over you and you chuckled again, “how did you even remember that?”
“I mean, that was just a few days ago and who can forget someone who got left behind by a friend?”
“She isn’t bad, she just had to hurry out. I swear, she’s a reliable person most times.”
You haven’t noticed it but Tsukishima's goal was slowly realized as the air of awkwardness and tension gave out. You were too giddy to realize anything; you felt weirdly safe and became chattier.
In front of you, Tsukishima looked to be amused; a rare smile plastered on his face. “I had a somewhat same experience back in high school,” again, he sported a surprisingly charming smile on his face.
Curiosity overtook as you continued to prod, “what happened in high school?”
“Well, simply put, I wasn’t overly fond of volleyball then. A lot of people paved the way to make me love it. In a way, I relate."
“Wow, your friends were really good for doing that.”
“Hahaha.. yeah. I was kind of forced the first time around,” he muttered under his breath. “It’s your turn to question.”
“Oh, right.” Attention span of a goldfish. “What position do you play?”
“I... Am a middle blocker”
“Well, that’s fitting to say the least. Is it fun playing your position?"
“Yes. I find it fun especially seeing anguished faces across the net after a good block.” You cracked a smile at that, he didn’t seem to be the type to find fun in that manner.
“My turn to ask. Are you comfortable talking to me now?” Upon asking that, he faced you with genuine concern, you didn’t even realize you were talking to him casually and without uneasiness.
“Yeah, I think so.” You finish it with a smile.
He flashed a quick smirk in response. For he, after a lengthy while, has finally made progress with the person in front of him.

Boys reaction to MC who never have date before meeting them. Like, the boys as MC's first love.
My first HC on here and I was memeing half the time while writing it. Included what the boys would do after hearing this news as well because why not. I’m not a Lucien fan but lord have mercy on my soul, I couldn’t help making his romantic af. He is the ideal boyfriend/date minus the l i e s that come in the MS and I hate it. All the crossed out stuff is just commentary because I couldn’t help myself. Hope you enjoy~ Thank you for your ask <3
How the MLQC boys react to being MC’s first love below the cut~
Victor:
Follows with some snarky comment after he calls her “Dummy”.
Let’s be real here, if he doesn’t call her dummy immediately, then something is wrong. Reminds me of when we streamed the first episode of MLQC and we were all yelling “CALL US BAKA” the second Victor came on screen.
While he seems cool and collected on the outside, you can hear the computer shutdown sound play on the inside.
To him, this is a shocking confession.
Victor: I’m not surprised a dummy like you hasn’t been in a serious relationship before.
Victor, internally: How has she never been in a serious relationship before??
He’s not very good at expressing himself honestly through his words but he truly admires MCs hardworking nature.
He finds that very attractive in a woman and is surprised that other men in the line of business haven’t taken their shot with her yet. it’s because they can feel your death stare on the back of their heads, kind sir
One thing he struggles with is being himself. He tries to act like everything is in his control all the time.
Because of this, upon hearing MCs confession, he invites her to a fancy dinner at his penthouse insert Victor’s Dazzling Date because THATS ALL THAT MATTERS. Jkjk haha... unless...
He wants to impress her as much as possible even though he knows deep down that she doesn’t care about what a person has and rather how they are as a person
BUT ALAS. The stress be real for her first boyfriend.
He wants her to know she made a good decision without verbally telling her out of his own bitch mouth I love you, please call me baka so he goes over the top with their first date.
Basically pulls a Mr. Krabs when taking Mrs. Puff on a date. Just add shades to Mr. Krabs to represent Victor’s “I’m calm. I’m chill. I’m all good. We vibin out here.”
All MC wants from him is his honest and genuine thoughts. and a lifetime stock of pudding because good god a girl has chocolate needs
MC eventually figures out Victor’s intentions with all the gifts he rains on her because hE dOesNt nEeD tHeM he can’t give her anything more than a cup of pudding up front
MC knows this and accepts the secret gifts with a smile.
She sends a gift in return to his office the following day along with a thank you for the wonderful date.
Can you hear that? It’s the sound of Victor’s heart rate slowing to the average persons.
Kiro:
insert pikachu meme
This boy is mind blown.
“How have you never been in a relationship before??? That can’t be true!”
Kiro sees the good in everyone, so hearing that MC has never been in a relationship before him is
He gives her a bright smile and playfully hugs her from behind.
The two of them laugh together as he whispers genuinely in her ear,
“I promise to make you happy. You won’t regret it.”
He immediately drags her off to Loveland’s Amusement Park, where they spend the whole day together.
Rides, snacks, games, you name it, they did it all.
Kiro naturally spoils MC without putting much thought to it.
It’s like a reflex for him. It’s just who he is as a person. Always wants to share the happiness in the world with the people he cares about.
As for how anxious he is after hearing the news about being MC’s first love, he is screaming at a pitch only dogs can hear.
Almost 100% of the time he has a smile on his face and even convinces himself that he’s not worried about it.
But he is.
It only hits him when he thinks about another man taking MC away from him after seeing her talking with another guy.
MC will catch him without his carefree smile at times and eventually confronts him about it.
He shows her a wide smile and says there’s nothing to worry about.
L I E S. BABIE LEMME HOLD YOU I PROMISE YOU DONT NEED TO WORRY.
After a few attempts of trying to get Kiro to open up about it, he gives in and says he’s worried he’s not good enough for her HAHAHHA, GOOD ONE KIRO
MC, however, turns it around on him
MC: I’m afraid IM the one who isn’t good enough for you.
They both smile and embrace each other, knowing they’ll get through any little concerns like this.
Gavin:
He knows.
We’re talking about the boy who has been in love with MC since high school; Who has protected her behind the scenes ever since he laid eyes on her.
He would know if she had been in a previous or current relationship.
It only comes as a shock when she says she’s never been interested in anyone else romantically before. Lies. Have you seen the other suitors, MC. In a world where guys are that hot, you must’ve had at least 1 crush, c’mon sis.
Gavin respected her personal boundaries and never looked into her personal affairs so he had very little knowledge of her views on other guys.
He gets a little bit nervous, since he believes her standards must be high if she hasn’t been interested in anyone else before.
Does the full on soldier oath, bend the knee cliche which includes “I promise to always protect you” and “Nobody will ever be good enough for you”
Mc: Gavin no...
Gavin: NOBODY WILL EVER BE GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOU.
Spoiler alert: You are waayyyyy too good for me, Gavin.
He doesn’t have too much anxiety over the thought of being MC’s first love though since he’s very good at staying true to himself and knows MC is one to admire that about others.
Gavin is a quiet guy in general. He’s more of an observer and watches MC to take note of what she enjoys.
When he sees her eyes shine bright after seeing a delicious dessert cafe, he offers to take her. He makes sure to express how he also wants to go since he knows she won’t accept unless he is interested as well.
Boy literally has no interests the moment he’s with MC. He is essentially that vine
Doesn’t even wait until the question is over and just “Absolutely. Let’s do it”
MC: But I haven’t even said anything yet...
He isn’t much different from how he is now. Has around the same amount of anxiety just from being in MCs presence.
Boy just wants to PROTECC and is always panicking on the inside but tries to remain calm.
He is very good at calming his anxiety though since he’s had so long to understand what MC values and knows she just loves people for themselves.
That’s all he needs.
Lucien:
His eyes widen slightly at MCs confession.
It’s nothing too mind blowing for him since he knows how refined MC is and how dedicated she is to her work.
It’s still surprising to him that nobody has tried to sweep her off her feet yet.
With how kind MC is, it would be hard for her to refuse a date with a gentleman.
Lucien gently presses a kiss to MCs hand upon hearing her confession.
Lucien: I am honored to be given the opportunity TO WOO to take such a beautiful lady out on a date~ AND MORE PLEASE
Lucien is the definition of a gentleman shhhh we aren’t speaking of current chapters in the main route Lucien. Cover your eyes. Pretend you do not see.
With little to no anxiety showing on his face after the reveal that he is MCs first love, he insists on taking her out to a nice restaurant the most classy and romantic 5 star restaurant Loveland City has to offer as a way to thank her for dealing with his bs (both his bullshit and black swan hahaha I’m so funny oml) being given the opportunity to treat her as a beautiful young lady should be treated.
He’s also more on the less anxious side of being MCs first love.
Lucien is a traditional man and does stuff by the book.
Because of this, he respects and likes the idea of being MCs first love.
He doesn’t go over the top yet isn’t cliche with dates and little actions.
He knows exactly what to say and when to say it. Though he may struggle with being openly honest about his own thoughts and feelings, he tries his best to express himself for MC. a lot of the time he just assumes talking to her about his personal affairs would bring her down.
This, however, gets better overtime as they continue to date.
They spend a lovely evening at dinner together and take a midnight stroll through the city oh god city stroll PTSD
He gently wraps his jacket around her bare shoulders with a soft smile as he thanks her once again for believing in him believing he is worthy of her
Bonus:
Shaw:
Shaw, smirking: Is that so?
Oohhhhh you know what that smirk does to me. DOWN BOY D O W N.
He’s surprised but his reaction is very mutual.
His internal thoughts are more on the line of “Hmm I’m her first boyfriend, aye?” and “OYA OYA”
He very likely most definitely places his hand on the wall beside her head and leans in closely to get a reaction from her as he growls,
Shaw: So that means you really like me, yeah? I’m making this way too hot gdi. Shaw stans please enjoy your food
MC looks up to see that same playful smirk resting on his face.
highkey don’t know how to respond because Im just “ok think of 3 things she would probably say and go from there” while my brain just computer error sound
MC: and what about yourself? I’m sure there are tons of girls throwing themselves at you yet you choose me.
He pulls away and places his hands in his pockets with a chuckle.
Shaw: I’ve had my fair share before.
iVe HaD mY fAiR sHarE bEfoRe MY ASS
I’m convinced he’s had one time things with girls purely for information or he isn’t the least bit interested in relationships because he thrives on stimulation and entertainment and nOboDy iS gOoD eNouGh plus he literally asks what people do on dates when taking mc out in his first date in game SO
Either way, this is a LIE. The man can’t relationship for the life of him so he has no RIGHTS to tease her.
Just let him believe or you can try to tease him about it in hopes of getting a little pouty face out of him.
Honestly, their first date would just be the first date we got in the game and nobody can convince me otherwise.
Shaw is a wild child and doesn’t care for romantic dates. at least that’s what he wants you to think
A little insight on his character: He’s very blunt and easily pushes people away all the while keeping them close enough to gather intel. He doesn’t get emotionally attached to anyone and makes sure it’s mutual on both ends. Personal relationships only drag him down, especially in his line of work. He prioritizes other things before relationships which makes him so damn FRUSTRATING BUT I SWEAR I WILL CRACK YOU OPEN LIKE A WALNUT JUST YOU WATCH ME.
With that being said, after actually being in a relationship with MC for a while and opening up about their personal lives more, Shaw can be very romantic. He may be awkward for a bit at first since he literally doesn’t know what a date is but he gets there eventually.
He’s still full of fun but is also very gentle and makes sure MC is enjoying herself.
I got sidetracked with the actual HC on this one but Shaw stans need food I NEED FOOD

The Counselor - Part 2
Genre: Teacher!AU
Pairing: Bobby x You (Female!Reader)
Warnings: Alcohol/drinking
Part 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 | Words: 2,415
The good thing about the first week of school was that you were far too busy and exhausted to be vigilant about any sexist remarks your new principal might have made. He hadn’t said anything glaringly terrible when he spoke on the morning announcements, and that was about as much as you could take in for the time being. So, if he’d said anything behind the scenes or in passing, you were blissfully unaware of it.
The bad thing about the first week of school was that you were far too busy and exhausted to do anything. You barely cooked real food for yourself once you got home, and you really could only manage taking a shower and picking out your clothes for the next day. Once you’d done that, it was nothing but mindless television until your eyes were too heavy to stay awake -- which only felt like a few hours.
You knew this wouldn’t last long -- the hustle and bustle of a new school year would eventually turn into a routine, and you would suddenly find you had more energy to do things. But, right now, you truly could not fathom even looking at a test much less actually creating, administering, and grading one. For twenty-five students. Per class.
Thank goodness you were just a math teacher. If you had to read almost 150 two-page essays like the Literature and History teachers did on a regular basis... you probably would’ve quit years ago.
But you didn’t, so you hadn’t!
You truly did love teaching, don’t get me wrong. It was exhausting, and your work environment could change from year to year depending on your bosses and co-workers. But at the end of the day, you knew there wasn’t another job out there that would leave you feeling as gratified and fulfilled as teaching did.
But... right now... on Friday afternoon... you were just exhausted.
The last student had left your room for the week, and you had trudged over to your desk, plopping down onto your chair and letting your head fall onto your desk with a gentle thud.
A few moments later, you heard footsteps shuffling toward your door -- but you didn’t even have enough energy to lift your head up and see who it was.
You had a pretty good guess, though.
“You made it!” came Bobby’s voice soon after the footsteps moved from the vinyl flooring of the hall to the carpet of your classroom. “The first week -- the hardest week -- is over.”
You simply let out a very weak cheer, and Bobby chuckled gently as his footsteps approached your desk.
When you felt him lean on the edge, and when you felt his hand pat your back a few times, you managed to loll your head over to the side so you could shift your eyes up to him.
“I don’t think I can get up,” you muttered, your words just a bit garbled since your cheek was pressed against the surface of your desk.
“Well, I’m not helping you, so you’ll have to find the strength.”
Sighing, you replied with, “Can you at least promise to go have dinner with me somewhere -- somewhere that serves alcohol, preferably. That would be a good incentive.”
That half-smile of his appeared on his lips, and he nodded. “I will absolutely promise you that.”
You were just about to lift your head up lazily when you heard a timid knock on your door.
“Ms. Y/L/N?” a soft, female voice said.
You sat up quickly, eyebrows raised as you saw a student from your third period class hesitantly standing in your doorway. You couldn’t remember her name yet, so she obviously was not one of the troublemakers -- those names you remembered instantly and would never forget for as long as you lived.
“Yes,” you answered before forcing a smile. “Hi, sweetie. What’s up?”
“I -- I was wondering...” she started, clutching her math textbook to her chest and taking a couple of cautious steps inside. “I’m just really not good at math, and I know I’m going to struggle in your class, so I was hoping I could... get some extra help? Do you know of any tutors or anything?”
Bobby piped up then, standing from your desk and turning toward the door. “I can help you find some tutors.”
For some reason, though, you actually wanted to help this girl yourself. First of all, she was adorable and quiet and shy. Second of all, she was self-aware and not afraid to ask for help directly from the source. Plus, she wasn’t a troublemaker, so there was a good chance you would actually like spending time with her.
And helping her out after school meant you got to procrastinate planning lessons and grading assignments. Always something you prioritized.
“Oh, no, I can help you,” you interjected before the girl could accept Bobby -- Mr. Kim’s -- offer. “Are you free after school on... Wednesdays or Thursdays?”
“Yes, ma’am,” the girl answered immediately with a hopeful grin. “Wednesdays are good.”
“Perfect. Come here as soon as you can next Wednesday?”
The girl nodded and wished you a nice weekend before turning on her heel and scurrying out of your room.
As you opened your notebook with all of your class seating charts to see if you could remember her name, Bobby said, “Uh, don’t you remember the new admin policy about after-school activities?”
“Hmm? What do you mean?” you muttered. You stopped flipping through the notebook when you got to the chart for your third period, narrowing your eyes in concentration to try to visualize where the girl had decided to sit.
“Principal Howell’s new policy. He talked about it during the staff meeting on Tuesday morning... No after-school activities without his approval. Even the sponsors for the existing clubs and stuff had to go see him to get approved.”
Your brow furrowed immediately, and you momentarily lifted your gaze to look at Bobby as if he were crazy. “This is tutoring. It hardly qualifies as an activity.”
Bobby just replied with an expression that clearly said Okay, but don’t look at me if you get in trouble, I tried to tell you.
You pursed your lips and continued, “Like, every teacher does after-school tutoring at some point! He really wants every teacher in the whole school to come to him to get it approved? Doubtful.”
“Okay, okay,” Bobby relented, holding his hands up to ward off your defense. He then took a few steps toward your door and added, “Are you almost ready to go?”
“Yes, let me just make a note on my calendar...” You grabbed a pen, and when your eyes landed on the seating chart once again, you cried out a triumphant (but soft) Aha!
Victoria! Her name was Victoria.
“Meet you at El Torero?” Bobby asked from your doorway.
At the mention of your favorite local Mexican restaurant, you nodded quickly. But then you added, “Jay’s after?”
A fairly popular bar was right next to the restaurant, and since you didn’t have a taste for beer or margaritas (which is all they sold at El Torero), you were looking forward to a fun mixed drink or two at Jay’s after eating.
“You got it,” Bobby confirmed before stepping into the hallway and heading toward the nearest exit.
After scribbling down “Victoria tutor after school” on your calendar next Wednesday, you hastily stood up, grabbed your bag, and cheerfully locked up your classroom for the weekend.
“Get whatever you want,” Bobby said as the two of you slid into a booth at Jay’s, a popular locally-owned bar you tended to frequent during the school year. “It’s on me tonight.”
“Ooh,” you marveled, a delightfully pleased expression overtaking your features as you reached for a drink menu. “Why, thank you, kind Sir.”
“My pleasure,” Bobby chuckled.
As you began to skim over the multitude of drink choices, you almost commented that you didn’t even know why you looked at the menu anymore; Jay’s made the best Sidecar you’d tasted in your entire life, and you’d been too cautious to ever try anything else.
But then you saw a new drink on the menu -- its name was in green instead of black and there was a star next to it, so it was hard to miss -- and the description sounded quite intriguing.
Before you could bring it up to Bobby, the owner of the bar -- Jinhwan, himself -- appeared at your table.
“What’ll it be tonight, guys?” he asked with a friendly smile.
You and Bobby had been coming here ever since you’d started working together, so Jinhwan knew the two of you by name at this point. He was practically your friend, though you never saw him outside of the bar.
“Hey, Jinhwan,” you greeted, returning his grin. “What’s this new drink?”
The bar owner’s face immediately lit up, and you could’ve sworn you saw his cheeks turn just the barest hint of pink. “Ah, yes -- it’s one I created for my girlfriend, I just added it earlier this week.”
“Wow, that is adorable,” you gushed. “It’s her favorite or something?”
“She’s not a big drinker, and whenever she came in, she would just get a bottle of cider. So, I wanted to create something she would actually like. I had her test all different versions of it until she finally didn’t have anything she wanted to change. Took me almost six months to get it right, but now, here it is.”
Well, if that wasn’t the cutest thing you’d ever heard.
“I’m definitely getting that then,” you told him, slipping the menu back in the metal holder at the end of the table.
Bobby held up two fingers, and Jinhwan nodded, murmured a You got it, and then turned back toward the bar.
“God, that’s so cute,” you said with a slightly furrowed brow once Jinhwan was out of earshot.
Bobby raised his eyebrows at you as he crossed his arms over the tabletop and leaned forward. “Is that a dream of yours? That one day your boyfriend will name an alcoholic drink after you?”
You reached for a napkin, crumpled it up in your fist, and then threw it at his face.
“Shut up,” you laughed softly. “I mean, if my boyfriend owns a bar, then, yes. I would love for him to do that.”
“But only if he owns a bar.”
“Yes, only if he owns a bar.”
“What about if he owns a restaurant?”
“Then, obviously, I want him to name a pizza after me,” you answered without hesitation.
“But what if he doesn’t own a pizza restaurant?” Bobby asked, raising one eyebrow.
“Do you really think I would date a guy who owns any other type of restaurant?” you pointed out. “Free pizza for life is the only acceptable compensation for dating someone who would barely be home -- because owning a restaurant is a lot of work.”
“So, if you met a guy who was completely your ideal type -- looks-wise and personality-wise -- but he owned a burger place, you wouldn’t date him?”
You blinked a few times before sputtering out a confused laugh. “I don’t -- can we move on, please? We don’t need to continue talking about my non-existent dating life.”
Bobby let out a sigh and leaned back against his seat, moving to tap his fingers on the edge of the table. “Okay, what should we talk about? Work?”
“My love life and work are not the only two options for conversation!” you retorted. “What are your plans for the weekend?”
A hidden smirk tugged at Bobby’s lips, a clear sign he was satisfied with how he’d teased you and was now ready to move on. “I’m meeting up with Donghyuk to play some basketball.”
“Oh, he’s the.... um, the doctor, right? The one who moved?”
Bobby nodded.
“Man, it’s a shame he moved,” you sighed. “He was super cute. ...Is he still single?”
“No,” Bobby chuckled. “He met someone there. I think he’s going to propose, actually.”
“Well, when you meet her, please tell her she’s a very lucky woman.”
One of Bobby’s friends from college, Donghyuk, was probably one of the cutest, smartest, kindest, and sweetest guys you’d ever met. You had definitely been interested in dating him, but you’d had a boyfriend at the time. And after your break-up, when you’d been ready to think about moving on, he had moved away for a job. And now he was going to get married, apparently!
“Two lucky women, actually,” Bobby corrected you.
Your eyebrows shot halfway up your forehead. “...Excuse me?”
“His girlfriend has a daughter.”
Your expression immediately relaxed, and you let out a soft chuckle. “Oh, got it. Yeah, definitely two lucky women.”
Bobby leaned forward again, and if you didn’t know better, you would’ve thought there was a slightly awkward look about him. “You... can come with me, if you want. If you want to tell him yourself.”
“Come with you? To play basketball?” you smirked. “No, thank you. But give him my regards.”
“I mean, you don’t have to play. You can, like, watch or something.”
You were about to answer that you were fine -- watching basketball seemed almost as bad as playing basketball, but Jinhwan returned with your drinks before you got the chance.
“Enjoy,” he grinned after setting them down on the table. “Happy Friday.”
You reached for the glass in front of you, lifting it up slightly and nodding your head toward both Jinhwan and Bobby. “Happy Friday, indeed,” you replied with a beaming smile.
Bobby followed suit, and then the two of you took a sip.
Your eyes widened as the sweet but tart drink hit the back of your throat. Jinhwan, obviously wanting to see how his customers were liking the new addition to the menu, had stayed by your table, so you shot him a very impressed look.
“Tell your girlfriend she has excellent taste in alcoholic beverages,” you said.
Jinhwan immediately looked very proud and pleased, and he lifted his shoulders smugly when he said, “That’s not the only thing she has good taste in. But, I will.”
As you took another sip when Jinhwan turned to leave, you made Bobby promise to only let you drink two of these.
...But then you made him promise to come with you again next Friday.
He agreed to both, like the good friend he was.

the jealous type
— overview: class 1-a has a game night in the common room. bakugou sees you and todoroki getting too close for comfort and can’t stop himself from getting jealous.
— pairing: bakugou katsuki x female!reader
— word count: 3.4k
— warnings: lots of swearing, jealous bakugou (yes that is a warning bc damn boy), sexual tension
— author’s note: this request was so fun to write i was literally on a roller coaster of emotions the whole time. like i couldn’t stop laughing at some parts, then other parts i straight up cried while writing, then i got happy and giggly again...agh. this was something else ;p enjoy!
“Does Todoroki have to be good at everything he does?” Uraraka whispered from beside you, staring in awe as he easily reached five stars on the game Just Dance.
You giggled in agreement. “And does he have to look so good while doing it?”
Ashido joined in on your little circle, nodding as she admired the way his toned muscles flexed while dancing to “Womanizer.” “The rest of the boys really have nothing on him.”
As the three of you--and most likely every other girl in Class 1-A (plus Midoriya)--admired Shouto’s subtle yet graceful style of dancing, Bakugou fumed from behind the sofa. Why was everyone so obsessed with that bastard?
Katsuki scoffed and, startled, you glanced back.
He stood behind the couch you, Mina, and Ochako were on, the ever-present scowl on his face deeper than normal.
“I don’t get what the big deal is,” he muttered, staring past you to glare at Todoroki who was currently beating Kaminari in “Hot n Cold.” “He’s not even that good.”
“He’s beaten everyone he’s played against so far,” you said in a singsong voice. “Seems quite good to me.”
“Tch.”
Mina took a quick break from ogling at Shouto to roll her eyes at Katsuki. “Seems like someone is jealous.”
“Fuck off, Raccoon Eyes,” Bakugou scoffed. “What would I have to be jealous of?”
Just then, the song ended, the screen flashing a crown over Player 1, Shouto.
“Damn!” swore Kaminari, wiping the sweat off his forehead. Eijirou gave him a pat on the shoulder as he sat down.
“Todoroki-chan!” you exclaimed, jumping up from your seat and giving him a high five-turned-hug for his fifth win in a row. “You were amazing, as always.”
Shouto gave you a small smile in return, patting your back gently as you handed him his water bottle.
“Thanks, Y/L/N.”
“Anytime, Icy Hot,” you said with a wink.
Meanwhile, Mina was smirking at a red-faced Katsuki.
His hands were gripping the cushion of the couch, sparks sounding off his forearms. He watched Todoroki whisper something in your ear, causing you to laugh, and he felt his stomach churn uncontrollably.
“Not jealous, huh?” she remarked.
His left eye twitched. He was not jealous of that half-and-half bastard.
But your hand was still on his arm--why the fuck was your hand still on his arm?--and you had a slight flush to your face. What could Icy Hot have possibly said that made you blush? Bakugou would rather read only Machiavelli for the rest of his life than attempt to make conversation with that boring square.
“Look, he won again!” you said, wielding a triumphant expression as you walked back to your seat. “Still think Todoroki’s not good?”
“Anyone can win in that stupid game,” Katsuki muttered under his breath.
“Why don’t you prove it then?” Ashido piped in, a devilish grin on her face. “If you think it’s so easy, why don’t you play against Todoroki and see who wins?”
He scoffed. “And why would I want to prove anything to you?”
“Aw, come on, Bakugou,” you said with a pout. “It’ll be fun!”
Of all the things you had to say…, he thought crossly.
“I don’t think so.”
Tilting your head to the side, a challenging look mingled with your features. “Oh. I see.”
“See what?” he asked, eyes narrowed.
“You’re scared.”
“What the hell would I be scared of?” said Bakugou, voice louder this time.
“You’re scared you’re going to lose to Todoroki, so you’d rather not play!” you proclaimed as if it were the most obvious thing. He felt as if a vein in his forehead was about to pop. “Your scared that maybe King Explosion isn’t the best after all.”
He heard Kaminari and Kirishima ‘ooh’ from the sofa next to you, but Katsuki was too outraged by your comment to spare them a second glance.
“You think I would lose to that bastard?!” he practically scoffed.
“Pretty much, yeah.”
With his ears growing hot in anger, he grabbed the Player 2 Wii Remote from your outstretched hand and did his best to ignore the smirk on your face.
“Fucking bring it, Half-and-Half,” he growled at Todoroki, who was simply standing in front of the television screen with a blank look on his face. “I’ll show all you dumbasses…”
“Hell yeah!” Kirishima cheered, hopping up from his seat on the couch to give Bakugou a pep talk, Kaminari and Sero following behind with equally animated faces. “You can do this in your sleep, Bakubro.”
His forehead throbbed at the insufferable nickname, but before he could say anything Mina dove towards the Wii console with a DVD in hand.
“Can I pick the song?” she cried, changing out the game version to Just Dance 4. “I have the perfect dance in mind!”
And that’s how, ten minutes and tons of arguing later, Katsuki found himself with Shouto’s arms around his waist as they danced to “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life” in front of his dumb crush and all their dumb classmates.
How he got suckered into being the female dancer, he wasn’t sure.
Mina said he should be the girl because he was shorter-- To which he replied by promising to dye her hair puke green while she was asleep. But the moment you looked up at him with those stupid, pleading eyes and dimpled smile on your face as you told him it’d be so much better with him as the girl, he found himself giving in.
He was a complete fucking fool when it came to you. And the day you ever figured it out would be the end of him.
“Don’t kiss my fucking hand,” Bakugou hissed, ripping it out from Shouto’s grasp as the song went into full action.
Todoroki barely spared him a glance as he posed for the signature move and continued swinging his arms. “It’s part of the dance.”
“Do you think the dumb game can actually tell if you touch me or not?” he retorted, sending him a flying kiss with the remote control.
“Maybe that mentality is why you’re losing.”
Katsuki gaped.
Shouto smiled.
With an annoyed grunt, he began to take the game much more seriously. He’d show that half-and-half bastard…
“Damn, get it, Bakugou!” cheered Kaminari as he scored his third perfect ‘YEAH!’ on the golden poses.
“I hate to say this, but I can’t tell if Bakugou or Todoroki looks hotter doing this dance,” Mina loudly whispered to you and Ochako.
When heard you agree with a fit of giggles, he felt a smug grin spread across his face. In fact, the sound of your laughter was so captivating, he didn’t even mind Todoroki’s clammy hands on his waist as he twirled around.
As the song drew closer to the end, they both easily surpassed the 5 Stars mark, with his score bar merely a centimeter higher than Shouto’s. But he was winning that son of a bitch and that was all that mattered.
“Grand finale time!” Kirishima yelled as Bakugou and Todoroki clasped hands for the final time, tiptoeing away from each other.
“What?” he asked.
“The infamous lift!” you said with a clap of your hands. “Just like in Dirty Dancing. You have to finish the dance off with the lift!”
Katsuki grunted in annoyance but turned to face Todoroki in time with the figures on screen. Shouto raised a brow in amusement and Bakugou wanted to wipe that all-knowing look off his face.
“Do it for Y/L/N, right?”
“Fuck you.”
With a deep scowl, he ran towards the bastard and leapt off the ground with his hands on Todoroki’s shoulders.
“You drop me, you die,” he warned in a menacing tone.
Todoroki let out an indignant puff of air as he caught him. Adjusting to the weight in his hands, Shouto’s arms briefly trembled before he easily steadied them.
“Hmm. For someone so short, you’re actually quite heavy.”
Bakugou’s mouth dropped open. “Who the fuck are you calling short?!”
“You.”
“I’M 172 CENTIMETERS TALL.”
“Yaoyorozu is taller than you.”
“By one fucking centimeter!”
“You’re still short.”
“Why, you little--!”
This time, Bakugou didn’t hold back. He swiftly swung his leg, aiming for Todoroki’s stomach, but right as he was about to make contact, Todoroki jumped out of the way, his grip loosening as Bakugou came tumbling down.
With a strangled yell, Katsuki felt his stomach drop at the 176 centimeter fall (bastard wasn’t even that much taller than him) as he landed with an ungraceful thud.
His eye twitched as he glared up at Shouto’s eerily calm face. “You fucking dropped me!”
“You tried to kick me.”
“That doesn’t mean you can drop me!”
Bakugou was so caught up in arguing, he hardly noticed his well-deserved win. That was, until Kaminari and Sero came up to him and Todoroki wandered off to talk to you.
They were raving about how cool his dancing looked, but all he could focus on was the smile on your face as you gave Half-and-Half a high five. When you wiped a bead of sweat off his temple with a teasing crinkle of your nose, Katsuki just couldn’t stand it anymore.
He played this damn game--put on this stupid fucking show--all for you. And while he knew you didn’t owe him anything, it was frustrating to see how easily you blew it off the minute you got a simple glance from Mr. Perfect.
Clenching his jaw, Bakugou stormed out of the common room without a word, shoving his way past any of his classmates that tried to see what was wrong as he headed up the stairs to his room.
Fuck them all, he thought. He was angry at Icy Hot for getting close to you in a way he never could. He was angry at Raccoon Eyes for planting the stupid idea of jealousy in his head. And he was angry at you for making him feel this type of way.
A churning stomach, a heated face, clenched fists-- Those are all things he loved to feel during a fight. But not here. Not now. Not because of you.
Irritated, he pulled out the key card from his pocket. But just as he was about to unlock the door, he heard someone panting as they ran down the hall.
“Wait!” you cried through deep breaths, trying to catch up to him. “Bakugou!” You paused when you finally reached him, leaning against the wall to steady yourself. “Why’d you leave like that?”
His hand was still on the handle but he turned his head to look your way.
“What do you mean?” he managed to get out steadily.
“I mean, I thought we were all having a fun time, but then you ran off with a pissed expression on your face!” You frowned, taking a step closer to him. “Is something bothering you?”
Yeah. How close you and that half-and-half bastard were.
He scoffed. “No, of course not.”
You bit the inside of your cheek.
“I’m surprised you even noticed with how inseparable you and your boyfriend were,” Bakugou grumbled before he could stop himself.
Dumbass, dumbass, dumbass.
“My...boyfriend?”
He folded his arms across his chest, avoiding your gaze.
Staring up at him, you blinked. “Are you talking about Todoroki?”
“Tch.”
“He’s not my boyfriend!” you said with amusement, rolling your eyes. “I don’t even like him in like that.”
“Funny. Doesn’t seem that way.”
You grew defensive. “Why do you care, anyways?”
“That’s a dumb question.”
“And that was a dumb answer.”
“Hmph.”
As he continued to dodge the conversation, you grew more and more annoyed.
You sighed. “Could you just answer the question?”
“What question?”
“Why did you leave?!” you asked with an exasperated shout.
“Why do you care?!” Katsuki bit back.
You glared at him and he matched your intensity head on. “Because, for some pathetic reason, I care about you, asshole!”
“It didn’t seem that way when you kept cozying up to Todoroki!”
“Why the fuck do you keep mentioning Todoroki?!” you cried, frustrated.
“Because he’s the only damned person you seemed to notice all fucking night, baka!” Red in the face, he couldn’t contain his emotions any longer. “Todoroki this, Todoroki that-- ‘Wow, Shouto, you were so amazing!’” he mocked in a harsh tone. “If you’re so fucking obsessed with him, why aren’t you there right now?”
“I don’t know!” Your voice came out in a strangled shout and when Bakugou looked at you he noticed the glassy sheen in your eyes and the hurt expression in your face.
Your cheeks were puffed slightly and your lower lip jutted out in a tremble so slight he only noticed because of the close attention he was paying. He instinctively reached forward to wipe a stray tear away, but you pulled back, stung.
Katsuki felt like shit.
Of all the things that could’ve happened, making you cry was the last thing he wanted to do.
With a sniffle, you folded your arms across your chest and lifted your chin up. “You’re right, I could be downstairs with Todoroki and the rest of our friends, dancing and having a fun time, but instead I’m in a hallway with a jerk who obviously doesn’t want me here!”
He sighed, his voice coming out rougher than usual. “I never said I didn’t want you here.”
“No, but you’re acting like it.”
Katsuki bristled. “Fine, just go and run to Todoroki then! No one’s forcing you to stay!”
“Good, because I don’t want to stay!”
“Good!”
You both glared at each other, heat unwavering as you refused to break eye contact.
“You know what? You’re such an asshole, Bakugou!” you cried in frustration, fingers digging into your palms as you balled your fists. You shook your head, angry tears threatening to fall down your face. “To think I actually like someone like you.”
He blinked at your words, taken aback. “What?”
You glowered. “Are you really going to make repeat that?”
“No, baka, I just--” Katsuki blew a quick breath of air through his teeth. “Don’t you like Icy Hot?”
“Yeah, as a friend!”
“Then why do you two always look so goddamn cozy anytime you’re in the same room? It’s like he’s the only person you see when you’re around him,” he grumbled, uncertain of his admission. “It’s not to make me jealous, is it?”
“Oh, get over yourself, big head!” You eyes narrowed as you scowled, but at least you were no longer sad. Bakugou would much rather have you annoyed with him for the rest of his days than make you cry again. “Todoroki and I are good friends and I’m just comfortable enough around him to act like that. It’s not because I like him-- And it’s certainly not because I was trying to make you jealous!”
At your menacing frown, Bakugou held his hands up.
“Okay, fine,” he snapped defensively. “My mistake, then. It was my own idiocy that made me jealous.”
“Exactly!” you retorted. Then, more quietly, “Wait-- What?”
“What now?!”
You bit your lower lip, suddenly averting your gaze. “You were jealous?”
He snorted, trying not to let his embarrassment show. “Isn’t that what I just fucking said?”
“Well, yes… But why were you jealous, exactly?”
“Do I need to spell it out for you, baka?” Katsuki asked disbelievingly. “As if it couldn’t be anymore obvious.”
Ashido knew. Uraraka knew. Even Todoroki, the most oblivious asshole in all of Japan, somehow figured it out. How the fuck haven’t you?
“Your obvious and my obvious seem to be different,” you said in an accusing tone, taking a step closer with each word as you prodded your finger into his chest.
“Obviously.”
“What?” you cried in disbelief. Even Bakugou didn’t know what he meant by that. Your body was just so fucking close to his he couldn’t even think straight anymore. Damn you. “This conversation is going nowhere! Just answer the stupid question!”
“Yes, I was jealous! Okay?” he said brusquely, moving away until he shoulder hit the corner of his doorway. “I was jealous of you and that damn half-and-half bastard. Whenever he’s around, it’s like he’s all you see. He looks at you, smiles at you, touches you in a way that I never can.”
You shifted even closer to him, almost closing the distance between the two of you, and Katsuki saw the nervous tremble in your step despite the confident look on your face.
“And why would you be jealous of that?” you asked slowly, almost tantalizing.
His felt his face heat up, flustered. Were you really going to make him say it?
You raised a brow and he growled, “Because I like you!”
“And I already told you I like you, too--” You broke off with a disdainful shake of your head. “God knows why.”
Although you told him those exact words earlier, his stomach still churned with the same intensity. “Then why aren’t you like that with me?”
And there it was. The million dollar question. The source of all his frustration.
Why was it so easy for you to be with Todoroki--to laugh with him and flirt with him--when you could barely look Bakugou in the eye unless it was to glare?
“Because you’re you,” you said, shuffling your weight between your feet. “You make me nervous when you’re around. It’s easy to talk to Todoroki because I don’t like him and he doesn’t like me. But with you-- You make my stomach feel weird and my heart acts funny and it’s like I suddenly forget how to speak.” You paused like you were out of breath. “I...I don’t know how to make it stop.”
As you talked, he found it hard to swallow. His breathing came out in sharp huffs and he found his warm hand resting on your hip, drawing you nearer.
There was a lapse of silence after your admission, and you wanted to withdraw in embarrassment, staring down at the floor and wriggling out of his grasp. But before you could move, Bakugou lifted your chin with a gentle finger until you faced him.
You looked into his eyes for what felt like forever until he spoke up.
“That makes two of us,” he said with a bark of laughter. Bakugou shut his eyes, almost in pain by what he was about to say next. “I’m a complete idiot when you’re around. It’s like I can’t help but make a fool of myself.”
“You did look pretty foolish earlier tonight,” you said teasingly, a shy smile on your face despite the way you ran your hand up his torso and rest your palm on his chest.
“Tch. Is that so?” He hoped you couldn’t feel how heart his beating through the thin material of his shirt. “You looked pretty impressed during the dance.”
“Yeah, at Shouto.”
He knew you were joking, but he couldn’t help but stiffen, almost drawing his hands away from you until you laughed.
“Sorry, was that too soon?” you said through giggles, placing Bakugou’s hands back on your hips as you leaned towards him. His back was pressed against the wall as you stood between his legs.
Katsuki huffed at your response, but his annoyance was easily forgotten when you peered up at him with wide eyes and a pouty lower lip he wanted to take between his own.
“You never have to worry about Todoroki, or Kirishima, or Shinsou-- Or anyone else. Because it’s you I like. And although you make my head hurt and annoy me to no end, I wouldn’t want it to be anyone else.”
“I wouldn’t want it to be anyone else, either,” he admitted roughly. “I’m glad it’s you.”
“Good.” Your features lit up with a grin and Bakugou felt like he was attacked by the Sun itself.
He felt himself smiling back foolishly until his cheeks hurt. “Good.”
As you tilted your head upwards, Katsuki’s leaned down and met you halfway. Your lips were soft with a taste of cherry lingering on the surface and your body was inviting as you brushed your hips against his. It was slow and it was deep, passionate yet sensual.
And it was the best damn kiss he had ever had.

the bau & jury duty: headcanons.
w/ @ellegreenawy
spencer reid: mutters under his breath when they get slight details wrong.
"do you think you know more than the judge or the lawyers?"
"actually, yes."
"in what respect?"
"in all of them.”
corrects people when they don't call him doctor.
"up next we need mr. spencer reid."
"that's doctor spencer reid."
shows his fbi badge when they ask him for id. would for sure be correcting the layers’ statistics.
"actually, that's not quite right. did you know..."
penelope garcia: would "somehow" never get picked for jury duty. in her words, it’s “magic”. she avoids the topic to the best of her ability, though.
“say, garcia, you haven’t had jury duty in a while, haven’t you?”
“o-oh, i guess i’m just l-lucky. it’s magic. oh look, i think that’s hotch calling me. gotta go!”
emily prentiss: emily would probably convince garcia to do the same thing for her that she does for herself and then once every few months take around 4 days off because of "jury duty".
"emily, you had jury duty this weekend, right?"
"yeah, i did."
"then why are you a lot tanner than you were last week?"
"...tanning lotion in my hotel bathroom?"
"sure, prentiss."
hotch or another bau member questions her about it sometimes, but they didn’t really care enough to actually check. emily was always there for cases and turned her work in on time, so it didn’t matter too much.
“hey emily, you really have jury duty a lot. didn’t you just go like 6 months ago?”
“yeah, must be my bad luck. i should go, gotta pack! yes, need a lot of stuff for the next four days.”
david rossi: rossi just sits there and does not give a single fuck. he doesn’t want to be there and makes sure that everyone knows that. he knows that his team is doing more important cases at the moment, but he’s stuck in this stupid trial. he’s the least involved with the other jurors.
"um, mr. rossi? what do you have to say for this?"
"hmm?"
"mr. rossi, are you paying attention?"
"mhm."
"well, you have to make a decision, it's a tie. it's all down to you now."
"well i don't really care. whatever gets me home faster."
"mr. rossi, do you know who you're talking to? i'm a judge."
"no, do YOU know who you're talking to? i founded the behavioral analysis unit of the fbi. and i’m a best-selling author to boot. what have you done besides sit here and be a pompous dick?"
"i-"
he might not be involved with the other jurors, but he’s definitely paying attention to the trial. the jury would be arguing and he’d make one point that ends up making them all stop talking and end up agreeing. he would also totally do the "hush, the adults are talking" thing that jj and emily do in that one episode with morgan’s cousin.
jennifer jareau: jj wins everyone over with pictures of her kids. she’s too pure to use it to influence other jury members (plus her morals wouldn’t let her either) so instead she just uses it to get really nice catering and bathroom breaks whenever she wants.
"and this is henry, he's 7. the other one is michael."
*everyone awws*
"and that tall one is spencer. not biologically my kid, but close enough."
"how old is he?"
"oh he's 32."
bonus points because she also has jack’s picture on her phone.
"so how many of these are your actual children?"
"depends on what ‘actual’ means."
as the trial goes on, she's complaining about people's incompetence, and the other jurors are so confused.
“is this the really sweet woman who was just showing us baby pictures?"
jj is also either fully supporting the prosecution or fully supporting the defendant. there's no in between. she listens to the evidence so she can decide it fairly, but once she has a decision she has a decision.
"i see this happen every day. i'm a profiler, for fuck's sake. can you not see how the defendant’s story was almost the same, word for word, each time he said it? it was clearly rehearsed. plus, he kept on looking to the left as he thought. it’s a possible sign that he was lying."
“the evidence clearly doesn’t add up! the prosecutor is creating a story out of nothing.” *proceeds to poke holes in every part of their argument until the whole jury is nodding along with her*
aaron hotchner: a little like spencer. he would totally be making comments about everything, because he was a prosecutor. they’d be quiet though, under his breath. he never actually corrects anyone, but you can definitely hear him muttering. sometimes it's a trying-to-be-helpful tone and other times it's a you-dumbass-what-are-you-doing tone.
"no, no. that's not the argument you want to be making."
besides that, he’s pretty much silent. when the jury is discussing, he’ll make one statement and give his opinion and then shut up unless he’s directly talked to. very few times, he’ll get mad or frustrated, like when the case is especially bad or the trial isn’t going well, but he’s still polite about his displeasure.
derek morgan: honestly a lot like jj. decent, upstanding citizen. wins over all the grandmothers. he helps them to their chairs, walks them to their cars, helps them get food, etc.
“hello, i’m derek.”
*cue grandmothers swooning*
he also gets the phone number of every single girl there, regardless of age. but when he starts dating/marries savannah, every time a girl hits on him, he just shows a picture of hank so everyone just simps instead. (he might get those girls' numbers anyway just to offer them dating advice.)
"look at you, hot stuff!"
*shows his lock screen, which is a picture of sav and hank*
"oh, my bad."
“but if you’re ever in need of dating advice, i’d be happy to help.”
he always makes sure justice is delivered, even if that means going against what most other people think. and he’s very vocal about what he thinks.

Part Three | Masterlist
- - - - -
Over the next week your days at work are mostly taken up with organising the upcoming charity fundraiser ball Tony was hosting. Tony had also asked you to paint something that could be sold in the auction during the ball. You were glad to be so busy, keeping your mind active was the only thing stopping you spiralling. Even though Tony promised you would be safe you still couldn’t help but be anxious after your meeting with the Professor in the coffee shop. Something about the way he looked at you, and the way he said ‘see you again’, it just didn’t sit right with you and you had started to have nightmares that kept you awake at night. But you couldn’t let Tony know anything was wrong. You didn’t want him to think you couldnt handle your new job, or that you didn’t trust his promise.
Tony hadn’t sent you back to the cafe since, instead Happy was the one collecting your coffee orders. Happy had also been given the task of driving you around everywhere since that day too.
The day before the fundraiser you get ready for work and mentally plan the day ahead. You were tired from yet another restless night but you knew you still had a lot to get prepared before tomorrow. You're too busy to be tired.
You leave the house and get into the car that is waiting outside for you.
“morning Happy” you say strapping your seatbelt across you.
“good morning miss Y/L/N” he looks at you through the mirror “did you have a late one last night?”
“huh?” You ask, meeting his gaze in the mirror.
“you look a bit tired”
“gee thanks” you say sarcastically “I just, you know.. was awake a lot thinking about everything thats left to do for this fundraiser. Its hard to switch off from work mode sometimes”
“hmm” he replies, not entirely convinced by your words. He turns his attention to the road and starts driving.
You pull up outside the Stark Enterprise building and Happy goes to get out of the car to walk you in.
“oh, Happy you don't really need to escort me in do you? The doors only a few feet away, I’m sure I can manage on my own” you look at him pleadingly and he looks conflicted.
As much as you appreciated Tony putting these safety measures in place so you felt safer, you found it embarrassing that Happy had to walk with you from the car to the door. Like a child being walked into school by a parent.
After a moment he looks turns to look at you.
“Fine. But I’ll be watching from here and if Tony asks, I walked you in. Deal?”
“Deal” you nod “thanks Happy!” you say jumping out the car quickly before he can change his mind.
Happy watches you walk into the building before driving off to park the car.
Once inside the building you head towards the stairs to get up to the office but get a text through from Tony.
“meet me in the lab -T”
You’ve never actually been to the lab since you started working for the company so you were kinda excited to finally get to see it. You make your way down the stairs to the basement where the lab is located and find Tony working at one of the tables.
“morning Tony” you say cheerfully as you walk up to see what he’s doing. He spins around and gives you a big smile.
“ah y/n perfect timing as always, I have something for you. Hold out your hand”
You look at him confused smile but do what he says. He takes your hand and flips it around so its facing down, then places a watch on your wrist and tightens the strap. You look at it with fascination.
“so, it’s your standard smart watch. Kinda like an apple watch but better because, you know, I made it”
“of course” you giggle at him.
“you’ll receive messages, calls, appointment reminders etc, all the boring stuff, but the most important thing is this” he gently pulls your wrist towards him slightly so he can operate the watch. He swipes the screen and points to a button that looks like a little alarm bell “this button is here for you to use if you're ever in a situation where you don't feel safe”
You look up at him and he meets your eyes.
“now this isn’t me saying that you're going to be in any unsafe situations and hopefully you’ll never need to use this button but it’s there, just in case. Give it a go.”
You press the little button and instantly his watch on his wrist lights up and makes a sound. He presses something on his watch screen and the noise stops.
“you press that and my watch alerts me that you need help and gives me your location. I will be with you in a mater of minutes. No matter where I am, what time of day.. I will drop everything and get straight to you.”
You feel your eyes well up. You're so touched by the effort Tony has put into making you feel safe and part of you does already feel calmer.
“thank you” you whisper and he notices the tears in your eyes. He pulls you in to a tight comforting hug. The two of you stay stood in the middle of the empty lab for a few moments your arms wrapped around each other. The calm before the storm.
You’re interrupted suddenly by the sound of Happy running through the door.
“my watch alarm just went off…” he says frantically and out of breath before noticing you two. You pull away from each other and look at him in surprise. You feel like your cheeks are burning red from blushing “…but I can see everyones fine in here so, I’ll just… uh.. yeah” he turns and quickly walks out the room. You cant help but feel slightly embarrassed but Tony doesn’t seem bothered. He turns to you and smiles.
“the watch will also alert Happy-“
“yeah I guessed that” you laugh.
— — — —
The rest of the morning is spent preparing the last few things for tomorrow’s fundraiser. On your lunch break you go down to meet Peter and the two of you walk to the coffee shop together. It felt strange to be able to actually leave the building without Happy escorting you but felt safe knowing that with your new watch you could have him or Tony with you in minutes. Plus you had Peter with you, not that you thought he would be much use in a fight. You reached the coffee shop and you notice Peter stop to check his reflection in the door window before entering. He definitely liked MJ.
“y/n! You're alive!” MJ shouts happily as you walk through the door.
“Can’t get rid of me that easy” you reply laughing as you walk up to the counter.
“Does this mean you’ll be back on coffee duty again instead of the grumpy guy with the ironic name?” She asks
“Who? Happy?” Peter asks and MJ turns her attention to him
“Oh hey Parker, didn’t see you there” she smiles at him which makes Peter blush and he starts stuttering. You decide to put him out of his misery and interrupt him to order your lunch. You pay and MJ says she’ll bring it over to you when it’s ready. You and Peter take a seat at a table over by the window.
“Thanks for paying for lunch” Peter says, glancing over at MJ.
“No problem. So, do you know who you’re bringing as your plus one to the fundraiser tomorrow?” You ask and Peter looks at you embarrassed.
“I don’t know, probably no one” he shrugs
“What? No! Come one, you gotta bring someone”
“Well I thought about asking Ned but then I thought he’s just gonna geek out as soon as he sees Mr Stark”
“Hmm, yeah maybe not Ned” you shake your head
“And I’d ask Aunt May but I don’t really want to spend the evening watching her and Mr Stark gross flirting”
Peter pulls a face and you laugh, hiding the fact that you also would not like to see that. Thinking about it made you feel weirdly jealous. Were you getting feelings for Tony?
You notice Peter look over to the counter again. You know who he really wants to ask, he just needs a push.
“Why don’t you ask MJ?” You say casually and Peter looks at you, eyes wide.
“Why would you say that?” He gets flustered.
“Dude, it’s so obvious you like her. And I think she likes you back...” You pause before making quote marks with your hands “Parker”
“That’s my name!” He protests.
“That’s her giving you a nickname, trust me. Look, just ask her! What have you got to lose?” You say as MJ heads towards you carrying a tray of food “now is your chance”
Peter looks like a deer in headlights as MJ places the food down on your table and you thank her. She smiles and looks to Peter who is just staring at her with wide eyes.
“Uh, is he okay?” She asks you
“He’s fine. He’s just thinking about the fact that he’s got no one to take to this fundraiser party thing we’ve got after work tomorrow..” you say looking at Peter, trying to give him an opportunity but he remains silent.
“Oh a party? Sounds cool” she says. Peter still says nothing.
“Yeah, it’s gonna be a good night. Isn’t it Peter?” You’re desperately trying to get him to join in the conversation but he’s frozen. You all hang around in silence for a moment before MJ breaks it.
“Well I’ll leave you to your lunch. Hope you find someone Parker” she says, turning around and walking back toward the counter. You kick Peter under the table and suddenly he snaps out of it.
“MJ?” He surprises you both and MJ spins around to look at him. “Would you like to come with me?” He finally asks and you hold your breath.
“Okay cool, yeah. It’s a date” she replies and walks back to the counter to serve the customer waiting. You let out a sigh of relief and Peter looks at you with a massive grin.
“See, that wasn’t so hard was it?”
— — — —
When you get back to the office after lunch you feel happier than you’ve felt for days. Peter had not stopped smiling the whole way through lunch and on the walk back to the building he talked constantly about MJ. You felt weirdly proud of him for finally asking her out. Tony noticed you smiling to yourself as you replayed the moment back in your head.
“What’s got you so happy?” He asks, snapping you out of your daydream.
“Peter finally asked out the girl from the coffee shop who he’s had a crush on for ages. He bringing her to the fundraiser tomorrow.” You say smiling and Tony smiles too.
“Good kid.” He smiles. You could tell he was also proud of him. “So about the fundraiser, you’ve done the painting right?”
“Yup all ready. Do you want to see a photo of it to check its okay?” You reach into your pocket for your phone.
“No. I’ll wait for the big reveal tomorrow. I trust your talent.”
You smile, you take it as a massive compliment that he trusts you to have painted something worthy of being sold in the charity auction.
“Have you got an outfit yet?” He asks, and you look at him confused. You didn’t think Tony would be that interested in your fashion choices.
“No” you shrugged “I’m sure I’ve got a dress somewhere in my closet I can wear. I’ll figure it out tomorrow” you say casually as you continue with your paperwork.
To be honest you’d been so caught up with planning you’d completely forgotten you would have to dress up for this event. Tony picks up his phone and sends a text. A few minutes later Happy appears at the door.
“Happy could you please drive miss Y/L/N to mall and escort her around the shops until she’s found an outfit for tomorrow. When she’s done drive her home. Thank you”
“Tony! I don’t have time for shopping right now-“
“Don’t argue, just go.” He says standing up and walking over to you. “You have worked so hard arranging all this, you deserve an afternoon off to treat yourself. Use the company card, have fun.” He takes your hand and walks you over to the door, pushing you through it gently. You turn back to argue with him but he just smiles and shuts the door. You laugh to yourself in disbelief and follow Happy.
The following evening you’re all dressed up and ready to go, waiting for Happy to pick you up to drive you to the fundraiser. The dress you bought made you feel amazing. It was an elegant floor length black gown which hugged your figure in all the right places. The back was cut out in a triangle down to the base your spine and the fabric had a slight sparkle to it which caught the light beautifully. You kept your hair and make up simple, choosing to keep your curled hair loose and applying simple flick eyeliner and a deep red lipstick. There was a knock at the door and you took one last look in the mirror before opening it. You were surprised at who you stood standing the other side looking very nice in his tuxedo.
“Tony?”
He looks at you in awe and let’s out a small breathless wow before catching his breath “you look... beautiful” he smiles
“Thanks” you say shyly, “I wasn’t expecting to see you yet, I thought we would be meeting each other there?”
“When Peter finally asked out his girl, it got me thinking...” he pauses “will you be my date?” he asks and you look at him shocked “You don’t have to obviously, if it would make you feel uncomfortable or-“
“No” you interrupt “I mean yes. I mean… I’d love to.” You smile and a look of relief flashes on his face before he smiles back at you, offering his arm for you to hold.
You shut your front door, link you arm around his arm and walk with him to the car where Happy is waiting. On the journey to the ball you find yourself smiling as you thought about the night ahead.
But you had no idea just how much this night would change your life.
Forever.

summary: Ander's grandparents are coming to visit for the first time in 7 years, there's just one problem. They're Catholic and unaware of Ander's relationship with Omar. Ander is hoping that he can get through the week without them finding out and without him losing his temper.
a/n: The title of this comes from Take me to Church which I know is an old song now but I've always loved it and I felt like it really applied here. This fic is only edited by me so all mistakes are my own, please let me know if you find any so that I can fix them.I have seen a lot of fics about Omar coming out to his family because that's what they focus on in the show but I thought it would be interesting to see Ander's perspective of coming out to someone who wouldn't be as accepting as his mother. It was also really important to me to show someone accepting Ander (which in this case was Mateo) because I think a lot of the time Catholics (or any other badly portrayed religion) get a bad reputation and it's important to remember that not all strictly religious people will be unaccepting. Ander had never dreaded anything more in his life than he was dreading this next week. He’d graduated high school, he’d got a degree, he’d even helped Omar come out to his parents but nothing was as bad as this. Ander hadn’t spoken to his grandparents in almost 7 years, except of course for the occasional phone call on is birthday and Christmas, but this was different. They were coming to stay for a week and there was absolutely no way he could avoid them for that long.
Ander’s grandparents know absolutely nothing about his life, they think they do, but none of it’s true. They didn’t go to his wedding, well they had never been invited, they thought he was single, much to his grandmother’s dismay, and Ander couldn’t stand the thought of having to keep up that charade for a whole week.
“Hey,” Ander snapped out of his trance as Omar’s arms snaked around his waist and he relaxed into his touch. “still thinking about next week?” Omar asked cautiously, knowing the impending visit was becoming an increasingly touchy subject for Ander.
“I can’t help it,” Ander whined “every time I think about it it makes me want to be sick!” Omar spun Ander round to face him,
“Listen, I know that this is difficult, but if we got through three years of a relationship without my parents knowing, then we can go through one more week of pretending.” Omar was trying his best to soothe his husband but he knew at this point that it was basically useless.
“But I thought we agreed we wouldn’t pretend again, not after all the shit we went through with your dad.” Omar gave Ander a look of sympathy as he pulled him into a hug, “Ugh,” Ander sighed “why do my grandparents have to be fucking Catholics?” Omar chuckled as Ander continued to grumble into his shoulder.
———
The next week came around far too quickly for Ander’s liking and before he knew it he was lying in bed with Omar dreading the next morning when his grandparents would arrive. Ander was spinning his wedding ring round on his finger so Omar could tell he was nervous.
“I don’t wanna make you feel any worse but you do know you’re gonna have to take that off when your grandparents are here right?”
“Oh my god, I didn’t even think about that!” Ander said as he dropped his head into his hands with a groan.
“It’s not like it’s just you. I can’t wear mine either, do you really think I’d be your roommate if I was married?” Ander looked up at Omar with a dejected look on his face.
“You must realise that that doesn’t make me feel better. All it does is make me feel as if we’re going backwards.” Ander looked as if he was about to cry and Omar felt a pang in his heart as he looked at his face, “To your parents I was your roommate for three years and I don’t know if I can do that again…” Ander trailed off as the tears began to fall from his eyes and his head fell onto Omar’s chest.
“I know…… I know,” Omar whispered as he started stroking his fingers over Ander’s soft curls, “but you heard what Azucena said, her parents are almost eighty and if you told them now they might end up dying from the shock.” Omar’s attempt to lighten the mood earned a small giggle from Ander but it sounded more like a hiccup because of his crying. “Plus you’ll still have me there, I won’t be gone. And you’ll have Guzman and Nadia. We’re here for you Ander. I promise.” Omar leaned down and kissed his hair. Ander looked up and kissed Omar, gently at first but then Omar opened his mouth and deepened the kiss. Everything would be alright, Ander knew that, because he had Omar, and nobody could ever take that away from him.
———
The next morning was a flurry of activity. Nadia and Guzman arrived at 9 to help them set up and Ander’s grandparents were due to arrive with his mother at around noon. All pictures resembling any sort of romantic relationship between Ander and Omar were taken down and hidden in the airing cupboard, all of Ander’s belongings were moved into the spare bedroom and Nadia had cleaned the entire apartment from head to toe by 11:50, Guzman had tried to help her but gave up after half an hour as Nadia saw him as more of a nuisance than a source of aid.
The four of them stood surveying the apartment, Ander had a look of complete helplessness on his face.
“It just looks….. empty.” Ander said. Of course, he didn’t mean empty in a sense of a lack of furniture and objects, they were all still exactly where they had been. What Ander meant was that it seemed empty of happiness and love, as if by taking pictures off the wall they had stripped his and Omar’s house of the very thing that made it their home. For Ander that wasn’t even the worst part though, he kept touching his ring finger expecting the cool metal to be there but each time was instead filled with a sense of dread. Omar and Ander had put their wedding rings back in their boxes earlier that morning and he felt as if a small piece of his soul had been put in the box too. Ander felt like he was about to break down but was interrupted by a knock at the door. Nadia and Guzman went to sit on the couch as Omar spun Ander to face him, gripping his shoulders tightly.
“Hey, listen to me, it’s gonna be okay. It’s not like they’re staying here so you don’t have to pretend all the time, it’s just a few hours. Besides, I’ll be right here the whole time.” Ander quickly pecked Omar on the lips and then tried to muster up the best smile he could as Omar joined the others on the couch.
“Grandma! Grandad! It’s so lovely to finally see you again.” Ander hugged his mother, shook hands with his grandfather and then finally came face to face with his grandmother, the source of all his nightmares over the past two months.
“Ander, honey, it’s been too long!” His grandmother exclaimed pinching his cheeks with excitement. Ander plastered a smile on his face and replied,
“I know it has Grandma, I’m happy you’re finally here.” his grandmother gave his cheeks one last squeeze and then released him.
The four of them made their way over to the living area where Nadia, Guzman and Omar had been awkwardly waiting, not entirely sure what to do amidst the family reunion. The three of them stood up to greet the guests, all giving Azucena a warm hug and shaking the hand of Ander’s grandfather. As his grandma approached Guzman her face lit up,
“Oh, Guzman, it’s so lovely to see you! I can’t believe you and Ander are still friends after all this time!”
“Mrs López, it’s lovely to see you too.” Guzman said politely as she pulled him into a hug.
“Oh don’t be silly, call me Camilla. I’ve known you for too long for you to still be calling me that.” Camilla looked over at Nadia - who was stood closely by Guzman’s side - with a slightly odd look on her face. “And who’s this?” She directed the question towards Guzman rather than Nadia herself much to Nadia’s annoyance, but she kept it hidden well.
“This is Nadia, my beautiful wife.” Guzman stated with a fond look down at her as he wrapped his arm around her waist. Nadia smiled towards Camilla and extended her hand.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you, Ander’s told us so much about you.” This, of course, was a lie as Ander preferred not to speak of his grandparents, but she didn’t need to know that. Ander’s grandmother simply pursed her lips and nodded towards Nadia leaving her to awkwardly drop her hand back down to her side as Camilla’s hands stayed clutched to her small handbag. Ander, of course, had anticipated this as it was difficult enough for Camilla to accept that him and his mother were atheists and even without her hijab Nadia was clearly not of Spanish or Catholic descent. Still, it hurt Ander to see that his grandmother hadn’t learned to put aside her prejudices yet.
Now it was the moment of truth as Camilla approached Omar, Azucena and her father having already greeted him and sat down on the other end of the L-shaped couch. Camilla’s lips became a fine line as she slowly looked Omar up and down,
“And you are…?” she said slowly as Omar shifted uncomfortably under her gaze.
“I’m Omar, Nadia’s brother.” Omar said, refraining from sticking out his hand after her reaction to Nadia and deciding to stare down at his feet instead.
“Why does that qualify you to be here now? This is a family reunion for Ander, not Nadia, not even Guzman.” Camilla’s tone was becoming harsher with every word that came out of her mouth and Omar realised that he’d clearly used the wrong relationship to introduce himself. Ander could feel the tension building in the room and quickly moved to stand beside Omar clasping his shoulder in his hand as he did so.
“Grandma, Omar is also my best friend and my roommate. Remember? I told you about him on the phone when you called to say you were coming.”
“Hmm.” Was Camilla’s only reply as she stalked past the two of them to sit between her daughter and husband. As Ander moved to take a seat next to Omar his grandmother carefully cleared her throat and Ander moved to sit between her and his mother instead.
Camilla made small talk with Ander and Azucena for the next 15 minutes occasionally stopping to ask Guzman a question but blatantly ignoring the other two people in the room. At one point Nadia got up to start making lunch as she had offered to do the day before considering Ander couldn’t cook to save his life, Azucena offered to help but Omar stepped in instead clearly feeling uncomfortable in his current situation.
Lunch was ready 45 minutes later and the seven of them sat down to eat. Nadia had cooked Tortilla Española and patatas bravas in order to keep things traditionally Spanish for Ander’s grandparents.
“Guzman, your wife can cook very nicely.” Camilla said, ignoring the sour look on Nadia’s face that the compliment had been directed towards her husband rather than herself. As if somehow being married to Guzman made her just another part of him, but Nadia said nothing knowing they were here to support Ander.
“Why don’t you have a wife by now Ander?” Camilla turned to look at him with a slightly smug look on her face at her own ability to turn a conversation into something she was interested in. Ander had been dreading this all night, he knew it was bound to come up and yet he prayed that the further they got into the conversation the less likely she was to bring it up, oh how wrong he had been.
“Maybe he’s just waiting for the right person darling.” Ander’s grandfather piped up for basically the first time since they arrived, clearly happy to let his wife do most of the talking.
“Mateo hush, Ander can speak for himself.” Camilla snapped back at her husband.
“I’ve just been focusing on my career right now Grandma.” Ander spouted the pre-prepared lie out of his mouth before the other part of his brain could make him say something stupid. Something like, ‘I am married and I just never told you. Oh and also I’m married to a man.’ because as much as he wanted to say it he knew deep down that it wasn’t the right time, that it was never going to be the right time.
“And I’m sure that’s very good for you darling but my friend happens to have a granddaughter moving down here and it would be lovely if you could meet up with her. She’s very pretty, and I know that you’re not Catholic but it might be nice to see why it’s not such a bad thing to believe in God, despite what your mother may have told you.” She directed the last part of her sentence towards her daughter, the smug smile having returned to her face. Ander gritted his teeth to prevent himself from hurling his plate across the room towards his grandmother, he thought that he and Omar had gotten past all of the arranged marriages with Yusef and Iman but apparently his grandma also thought she had the right to decide who he married. He sighed, he couldn’t let his anger get the best of him, there was no way he’d be able to stop if he started so it was better just not to start.
“It’s very nice of you to offer Grandma but I think it’s better if I find someone on my own.” Ander said with a quick glance towards Omar who had a small smirk on his face, clearly he found this more amusing than Ander.
“But-” Camilla started to retaliate but was quickly cut off by Azucena.
“He said no, okay mum? If Ander wanted your help with his love life then he would ask.” Camilla turned back towards her food with a deep scowl and the four 20-year-olds had to suppress their happiness at Camilla being told to back off, especially Nadia who was beginning to get a sense of deja vu from her own parents before they knew Omar was gay.
Lunch continued in silence and not long after Azucena stated that she would take her parents home considering they’d had a long drive and that they would be back again tomorrow, Azucena and Ander having taken the week off work in order to spend time with Mateo and Camilla. Everyone stood to wave off the three of them and then Ander slammed the door shut after them with a sigh of relief.
“Well that was the longest three hours of my life.” Guzman stated, making the other three burst into laughter considering they all felt exactly the same way. They went to sit back on the couch, Nadia and Guzman intertwined on one side and Ander resting his head on Omar’s chest on the other. With this Ander turned towards Nadia with the intent of apologising for his grandmother’s behaviour but Nadia was too quick and knew Ander too well.
“Ander please don’t start apologising. It’s not your fault that your grandma is a little….. old-fashioned.” She said, trying to find the right word.
“I know but she was just so rude to you. To both of you.” Ander said turning his head back to look at Omar, “I feel like I should’ve said something….” he trailed off staring between the three of them.
“Ander don’t worry about it honestly.” Nadia said gently and then proceeded to move the subject onto something else.
Nadia and Guzman stayed for the rest of the day, the four of them chatting and watching films until they left at around 9.
As Ander gently closed the door behind them Omar came up behind him, spun him round and pushed him into the door Omar’s lips quickly coming into contact with his own as they kissed deeply.
“I’ve been dying to do that all day.” Omar said staring at Ander, his pupils blown with lust.
“Oh yeah?” Ander said with a smirk on his face as he wrapped his hands tightly around the back of Omar’s neck.
“Yeah.” Omar whispered into his ear as he bit down on his earlobe and started kissing down Ander’s neck eliciting small moans from Ander.
“Omar?” Ander moaned out.
“Yeah?”
“Take me to bed.” And so that’s exactly what Omar did.
———
The next few days went by in a whirlwind. Azucena and Ander were taking his grandparents to all the local landmarks, meeting up with several of their upper class friends, including Guzman, much to the delight of Camilla, especially since Nadia wasn’t able to attend that particular meet up. They ate in fancy restaurants while Ander filled his grandparents in on everything that was happening in his life, but of course leaving out the bits that included his marriage to another man. Every night Ander would return to Omar and their small apartment counting down the days until his grandparents went home.
It was three days before Camilla and Mateo were due to return home and Azucena had an emergency to deal with at Las Encinas so it was just Ander and his grandparents. Ander felt less uncomfortable than he thought he would as they sat down in a beautiful restaurant that his grandmother had been very insistent on coming to. He was actually beginning to believe that he might get through this week without everything going to shit and that was something he would count as a miracle.
They ordered their drinks and Camilla whispered something to the waiter before starting up a conversation with her grandson about his job. Camilla knew that Ander was focusing on his career, and she was incredibly proud of him, but at the same time she couldn’t help the sense of dread she felt whenever she thought about his lack of a wife. She wasn’t quite sure where the dread came from but she knew that she needed to make it go away and the easiest way to do that was to get Ander a wife, or at the very least a girlfriend. At that moment Camilla noticed Liliana approaching the table and a huge smile spread across her face.
“Liliana you look beautiful! I’m so glad we got to see you while we were here.” Camilla had stood up and pulled the girl into a warm embrace at the same time that Ander looked up to see who his grandma was talking to. Ander started to feel as if there was an alarm ringing in his ears and a voice in the back of his head telling him to run, but he couldn’t. He just sat there stock still and unable to move, looking intently at the woman in his grandmother’s arms.
“Ander, this is Liliana, the girl I told you about at lunch on Sunday. Liliana, this is Ander, my grandson.”
“It’s a pleasure to meet you.” Liliana said looking nervously between Ander and his grandmother. Ander looked over at Mateo who appeared to be as shocked as he was at this woman’s magical appearance at their family lunch.
“Umm, you too.” Ander said reaching out his hand. As angry as he was right now he didn’t want to seem rude, after all it wasn’t this poor girl’s fault that his grandmother appeared to know nothing about boundaries.
“Sit, sit.” Camilla said, ushering Liliana into the empty seat at the table, which happened to be beside Ander, before sitting back in her own.
For the next 90 minutes conversation flowed between Liliana and Camilla, the two of them occasionally looking at Ander but he remained silent, consumed with rage. He didn’t understand what made his grandma think that she had the right to do something like this, how she could possibly believe that it was ok. Not only was she wasting his time but this woman’s time as well. More than anything he just felt anger, towards his grandmother, towards this woman (even if she didn’t necessarily deserve it), towards this whole fucking restaurant.
“Ander darling, you’re being rather rude. You haven’t said more that two words to Liliana since she sat down. She manages this restaurant you know? She’s taken time out of her day to come and have dinner with us.” Rage surged through Ander at Camilla’s words, at the insinuation that out of everyone here, he was the rude one.
“Grandma, I’m sorry but you must be joking right? I told you on Sunday that this wasn’t something I was interested in.” A deep frown took it’s place on Camilla’s face as Liliana sank back slightly in her seat, feeling more than uncomfortable. “I told you but you didn’t listen.” Ander hissed, his voice rising with every word. “I cannot believe you!” He shouted, standing up from his chair, “I’m sorry,” he said towards Liliana, “but I’m not looking for a relationship right now let alone a wife.” and with that Ander stormed out of the restaurant and started walking quickly back towards his apartment, back towards Omar.
———
Ander stormed into the apartment slamming the door angrily behind him as Omar looked up from the pan he was hovered over, clearly planning to make dinner and assuming that Ander wouldn’t be back yet. Ander was cursing under his breath as he began to pace around in the space between the living room and the kitchen.
“Hey, hey, what’s wrong?” Omar asked as he tried to get Ander’s attention.
“My fucking grandmother tried to get me a wife that’s what’s fucking wrong!” Ander knew that his anger was being misdirected towards Omar but he couldn’t help it, he just wanted to hit something. Omar felt rage boil up inside him. How could she do something like this? Omar hated when people made Ander angry, or sad, or just any sort of negative emotion really. It wasn’t fair that just because his grandparents had certain religious beliefs that they felt entitled to make him get married. Omar could feel old feelings coming back from almost four years ago, before he’d come out to his parents, only now he felt them on Ander’s behalf. But that wasn’t what Omar needed to focus on right now, he could see Ander’s rage slowly turning into tears and he knew that he needed comfort. Omar pulled Ander into his arms and they stood there like that for 20 minutes while Ander cried into Omar’s shoulder and until both of their legs began to ache.
“Hey, come here. Give me one second.” Omar deposited a still sniffling Ander onto the couch and ran quickly into their bedroom and ran out a few seconds later with their wedding rings in his hand. On Sunday, being unsure of when Ander’s grandparents specific daily visits would be, Ander and Omar had decided to leave their wedding rings off until Camilla and Mateo had returned home, which had, for obvious reasons, made Ander even more depressed.
“Here.” Omar took Ander’s left hand in his as he sat down on the couch next to him. Omar placed Ander’s wedding ring back onto his finger and then brought his hand up to his lips and kissed it gently. “You don’t need to worry about your grandma finding you a wife, ‘cause you already have a husband, and I have no intention of letting you go.” Ander now had fresh tears in his eyes as Omar caressed his cheek gently. Ander silently took Omar’s wedding ring out of his hand and slipped it onto his finger, kissing Omar’s hand in the same way Omar had kissed his. Omar then cupped Ander’s cheek and pulled his face towards his own, their lips crashing together in a mixture of love, passion and tears. Ander felt his heart swell, he knew everything would always be okay, as long as he had Omar right there by his side.
———
The next day came far too quickly and before he knew it Ander was being ripped out of his blissful sleep by a loud knocking on the door.
The night before, after the two of them had calmed down, they’d had a quiet night in, eating the meal Omar had cooked and watching movies together until Omar had fallen asleep with his head on Ander’s chest.
Ander shook Omar awake as the knocking persisted and the two of them stared at each other. Confused and still half asleep Ander stumbled around grabbing a pair of jeans and a shirt and then ran towards the door, opening it with a pissed off look on his face. He came face to face with Guzman and Nadia who were looking at him sympathetically, as if he was a turtle who had landed on his back and couldn’t get back up.
“What the fuck are you doing here?” Ander continued to stare at them as Guzman just laughed and pushed past him into the apartment.
“Relax man, we heard about your shitty day yesterday and brought you breakfast.” Guzman said, as if that was a good enough explanation for why they had interrupted Ander’s sleep, and on a Saturday of all the days, he didn’t even need to be awake for another 45 minutes.
“How did you even know about that?”
“Omar texted me last night and told me.” Nadia explained as she busied herself making breakfast and slapping Guzman’s hand away every time he tried to grab food. Ander spun around to look at Omar who had now appeared from their bedroom still rubbing his eyes in an attempt to wake himself up. Omar just shrugged and smiled sheepishly as he made his way to the kitchen to take over from Nadia as everyone knew Omar could make better waffles than Nadia ever could.
Once breakfast was ready the four of them stood around the kitchen island eating and listening as Ander once again recounted the horrors of his previous afternoon. Nadia was enraged at the idea of Camilla trying to find Ander a wife but that wasn’t particularly surprising considering she wasn’t Camilla’s biggest fan. Guzman however, found the entire situation absolutely hilarious saying he could just picture Ander’s face, which only made him laugh more. Omar tried very hard to keep a straight face but couldn’t help joining in and eventually Nadia did too, because if you really thought about it, it was quite funny. Ander was obviously and (mostly) openly gay so the idea of him being faced with a woman that wanted to marry him was far too funny for Guzman to comprehend.
On the other hand Ander failed to see the hilarity of the situation and stood there staring at his friends and his husband with a look of disdain on his face. He was about to start yelling at them to shut up when there was a rapid knocking at the door for the second time that morning.
“Who the fuck is here now? It’s only 9 o’clock in the morning can people not leave us in peace?” Ander grumbled as he made his way to the door and swiftly opened it to reveal his stony faced grandmother on the other side, Mateo and Azucena in tow.
Camilla walked past Ander and straight into the apartment stopping to stand in the living room and stare disapprovingly at the three adults clustered around the island in the kitchen. Mateo quickly followed and Azucena stopped to greet her son.
“I’m sorry.” She said “I tried to stop her but she wouldn’t listen.”
Omar, Guzman and Nadia had all stopped laughing and were now staring awkwardly anywhere other than Camilla, unable to look her in the eyes without bursting into a second round of hysterics. Eventually Ander made his way over to his grandparents with his mother trailing after him, he gave the other three a look telling them to stay where they were and to stay quiet.
Ander came to a stop in front of Camilla as Azucena joined her father on the couch. Ander’s hands were clasped nervously behind his back and he was staring intently at a particular spot on the floor. However Camilla just stood there staring straight at Ander with her lips pursed and her hands clasping her tiny handbag in front of her.
“Listen, Grandma-” Ander started.
“No you listen.” Clearly the patience had been a front to try and start the conversation. “All I was trying to do was find you a respectable wife without you having to do any of the hard work. I wasn’t even expecting you to marry her but you could have at least gone on a date, or tried to get to know her. But no! Instead you storm out of the restaurant like a little child, I mean, you’re 25 years old Ander, you could have at least had the courtesy to tell us all why exactly you refuse to date anyone.” Ander took a deep breath trying to process the whole of his grandmother’s rant without hitting something.
“Grandma, I know this is hard for you to understand but people don’t get married as young as they used to anymore and I’m trying really hard to build up my career before I take on the responsibility of another person in my life.” He hadn’t come this far to give up now, he was going to stick to his lie and if she didn’t like it then she was going to have to live with it. At least it was possible for her to live with this, which was more than could be said for the truth. Camilla took Ander’s hands in her own and looked up at him. “I know honey, and I know you’ll have a fantastic career but-” The smile and softness that had appeared on her face after Ander had said his explanation suddenly vanished as she gripped Ander’s left hand and looked down at it with an unreadable expression on her face.
The next ten seconds seemed like ten years as Ander pulled his hand from his grandmother’s grasp and swore profusely as he saw his wedding ring still on his finger from the night before. He’d gotten so used to wearing it that he didn’t even notice it anymore. Omar, who realised immediately what had happened, quickly shoved his left hand behind his back having also forgotten to remove his ring. That being said Omar wasn’t sure what use that would do now considering at this point the truth was inevitable. Guzman and Nadia stood staring at each other utterly confused. Azucena also swore as she put her head in her hands and Mateo just sat there with an oddly smug look on his face.
But Camilla…….. she just stood stock still, stunned into silence and unable to speak.
“You’re wearing… you’re wearing a w-wedding ring.” That was all she could manage to say as she stumbled backwards and landed on the couch next to her husband.
Guzman froze and Nadia looked quickly at her brother as it dawned on them both exactly what had just happened.
Ander felt defeated. He’d been lying to his grandparents for almost a week and for what? The truth came out anyway, he might as well have not bothered. But the one thing he knew right now was that he had to sort this out, he had to be honest. So with a new plan in mind he walked slowly and kneeled on the floor in front of his grandparents, looking up at them with eyes a mixture of happiness that he no longer had to lie but also anger at what he was going to have to do and at the inevitable reaction. Ander was about to open his mouth but Camilla beat him to it.
“So……. you’re married.” She stated, a blank expression her face. “Well at least now I have a proper reason as to why you didn’t like Liliana. But what I don’t quite understand is why you felt the need to lie to me. Is she not Catholic? Because that doesn’t bother me. And when can I meet her? Is she away? Will she be back in time for me to see her? Is she-”
Ander cut off his grandmother with a large sigh as he tried to get himself together. “That’s not it Grandma, okay? She’s none of those things, in fact, she’s not a she at all. I’m gay.” Ander said those last two words whilst staring his grandma right in the eye and then looking to his grandad. It felt so good to finally say it and for them to know. Mateo had a look on his face that Ander hadn’t expected. It was pride, happiness, almost. Camilla however looked white like a ghost. She was staring at Ander unable to speak, or move, or even breathe.
Ander quickly stood up, jogging to the kitchen, grabbing Omar’s hand and pulling Omar back towards his grandparents with him.
“Omar is my husband. We’ve been together for almost nine years and we got married two years ago and if you can’t accept that then I don’t want you in my home. In our home.” Ander stood defiantly staring at Camilla and Mateo with a huge smile on his face. He no longer cared what they though or how they reacted as Omar squeezed his hand and looked at him with pure love and admiration.
“Well, in that case I think it’s best if we leave.” Camilla said standing and avoiding Ander’s gaze before making her way to the door. “I’ll be waiting in the car and we’ll be leaving once we’ve collected our things. I can’t believe you knew about this Azucena.” She hissed out her last sentence and with that, she was gone. It wasn’t as if Ander hadn’t expected that exact reaction but it still hurt and he felt a shot of pain in his chest.
“I’m sorry Mama.” Ander said as he turned towards Azucena who pulled him into a tight hug.
“Shhhhh. It’s okay. It’ll all be fine.” She whispered as she stroked her sons hair and squeezed him tightly. “I should probably go and talk to her.” Azucena made her way towards the front door, grabbing her coat, and making her way out of the apartment. It was now silent. Omar wanted to hug and reassure Ander, as did Guzman and Nadia but the three of them were all put off by the presence of Mateo who was yet to leave, however the reason for his remaining presence was unknown and it was something that was making Ander increasingly nervous with every moment that passed.
Mateo stood slowly and made his way over to Ander. He then wrapped his arms around Ander’s form and hugged him. Ander was in shock as his grandfather was never one to hug him, or anyone else for that matter.
“I’m proud of you.” Said Mateo “I know how hard that must have been for you especially considering our religion portrays us as not particularly accepting people but I’ve had time to come to terms with it and to understand it.”
“But……. how?” Was all Ander could manage now that his grandad had released him.
“Well I tried to ignore it at first, all those years ago, but it gets to a point where some things are hard to ignore. The way that you two were looking at each other on Sunday, that was a look of love, not friendship. I expect it was easier for your grandma to ignore it, people tend to ignore the things that they don’t want to see. But don’t worry, she’ll come around eventually, it just might take her a while, that’s all.” Mateo reached his hand out towards Omar and Omar shook his hand gently, still shocked at Mateo’s speech, “It was lovely to meet you Omar, I’m glad that you make my grandson as happy as he is.” and with that he was gone.
“What the actual fuck just happened?” Was the only thing that Ander could come up with at that moment. The other three just shook their heads, not sure what to say about the old, Catholic, white man having just accepted his gay grandson.
Of course, Guzman was the one to break the silence saying, “Well, it could have gone worse.” which, for some reason, made them all burst into laughter.
“Hey,” Omar said having regained his composure and turned towards Ander, “you did it. You came out to them, now it’s up to them. They have to decide what they want to do, and if your grandma can’t accept it then that is not your fault.”
Ander couldn’t find any words so instead he just grabbed the back of Omar’s neck and crashed their lips together. The kiss was getting deeper and deeper and Guzman and Nadia felt extremely awkward.
“Okayyyyy, I think that’s our cue to leave.” Nadia said with a hint of a smile on her face as she grabbed Guzman by the hand and dragged him out of the apartment.
Meanwhile Ander had grabbed Omar’s waist and started walking backwards towards the bedroom, their lips still interlocked. They entered the bedroom and Ander felt the back of his knees hit the edge of the bed just before he fell back on it, Omar quickly climbing on top of him. Omar was about to start kissing him again when Ander put a hand on his chest to stop him.
“I love you.” Was all Ander said as he stared into the beautiful hazel of Omar’s eyes.
“I love you too.” Omar replied before he began to kiss Ander all over again. This, this was all Ander needed. He didn’t need his grandparents, he didn’t need a wife, he didn’t even need a job because the only thing that truly mattered to him was Omar and as long as Omar was here, with him, then everything would be perfect, always.

Author’s Note: It’s almost 2 am EST and I thought to myself, why not post part two. We are getting into meat of the story here, y’all! Again, this update is late, but my writing was hard to come by for a while. So without further ado, he is part 2 of Green & Gold. Please let me know if you want to be tagged in future installments.
In the four short weeks since Brianne had started cheerleading practice, Gwilym had come to learn three absolute truths. First being that cheer made Bri happier than Gwil had ever hoped. In the time since that first practice, he had seen her smile more than he had seen since before Angela had passed away. Her eyes lit up now whenever she spoke about how the routine was coming along or how she was learning all of these different things. Such as stunts or new tumbling passages or jumps that had odd names like toe touches, herkies, and pikes. While Gwilym cooked dinner or checked over her homework, he could always hear her routine music coming from the stereo in the living room. Once he got her to wash her hands and then settled at the table. It would become Gwilym’s inquiry into the world of cheerleading and Brianne was more than happy to oblige his many questions.
Bri had taken to cheering like a fish takes to water. It was in her blood, Angela’s cheerleading history flowing through Brianne’s veins now. It made Gwil so happy. She spent three nights a week on the mat now and Saturday during the day at either the home field or away fields cheering on the young football players. The football team’s age coincided with the cheerleaders of Bri's team’s ages. Or the Mustang Pee Wees as Gwil had learned. He had finally found out the difference between the game cheers and the competition cheer as Bri had once told him. He usually sat in the game bleachers trying to decipher how American football was more popular than actual football. Or as Y/N lovingly reminded him every time he complained, “It’s soccer here.” she would say with a smile. At first he thought it was kind of annoying but now anytime she reminded him, he found it endearing. The way her lips curled up in a smile as she said it, he found himself mesmerized by it.
When Brianne wasn’t cheering and once her homework was done, she could be found hanging out with her new friends Jasmine, Joey, and Selma. The carpool Y/N had promised had been fruitful for Brianne and Gwilym on the friendship front. They had been the type of cheer parents Gwilym had hoped for and luckily he got in with them instead of the others. That was the second absolute truth he learned that, cheer parents were absolutely bonkers bananas insane. Karen Diguimi was just the tip of the massive iceberg that was the “Stepford Stangs” as Joe lovingly coined them. Gwil had now become a member of the mailing list. A dreaded place to be that he wouldn’t have agreed to had he known what a nightmare it truly was.
He had now started to receive daily emails with updates on fundraising and how close they were to the nice buses. Game schedules, rule changes, and low fat recipes to keep your little cheerleader in proper cheering shape were among the other important articles. Plus little snide comments on the surrounding towns’ teams and how far superior the Mustangs were to them. It was like a tabloid magazine that Gwil now had a daily subscription too.
Y/N had sent him a long paragraph text about the low carb recipes and how dare the “Stepford Stangs” imply that only certain shaped children could be cheerleaders. ‘It is the middle of October and they are nine and ten years old. WHY DO THEY HAVE TO BE SWIMSUIT READY?! Gwil, you will have to stop me from strangling Karen at the next practice.’ It made Gwilym feel a swell of pride for a moment that he read her text. It caused the return of a certain set of emotions. These feelings that he was feeling were something he hadn’t felt in a long time.
Often he would check over the email for that week’s game schedule then file the email away. His new gang of misfit parents would mock the over ridiculous links in the emails or the fact that they received a new one every day. Joe always sent a meme or two about them, while Rami commented on the complete lack of email etiquette. ‘It’s too many emails and too many people hit Reply All instead of reply. It is chaotic!’ Rami had sent in their group chat. ‘I think its nice to keep us informed with the same information that we knew yesterday.’ Lucy had added. Gwil finally being able to put a face to the name as he met Rami’s other half at the first football game of the year. She was blonde, slim, and in a way almost fairy like. Her movements were graceful but she had this hidden strength to her. Rami and Lucy complimented each other well. Rami was a computer engineer, who like Gwil, could do most of his work from home. Lucy, on the other hand, was a certified midwife and a nurse at the local OBGYN. Often traveling between the hospital and the doctor office. Their schedules mostly allow for their twin girls’ busy sports schedules to work. Joe ran an accounting firm but swore he was bad at math. He stated he liked the business but preferred leaving the accounting to his dedicated small team of accountants.
Finally, the third absolute truth that Gwilym Lee knew was that Wednesday nights were now his favorite night of the week. It was the only night parents were allowed to stay for the whole practice. This meant about two hours of watching Bri have the most fun and grow into an even stronger, more beautiful young woman. It also meant getting to spend time with his new friends including Y/N. Y/N had quickly become Gwil’s confidant in all things cheer related. Any question or need he had, she had the answer and was always there with a smile. It was just another reason why Gwil was now harboring a crush on this woman. He and Bri had not seen her coming. He thought he would scrap by with googled information and keep his head down. He would be quiet and lonely, knowing just enough to get by.
Yet there was Y/N with her intelligence, her helping hand, and her kind heart. Bri also loved her and Jasmine. She was treated with so much love, respect, and care by Y/N. Gwil found it hard to keep himself from melting every time he was in her gaze. He felt like a teenage boy with a crush. He had confided in Ben who told him to get back on the horse. However, to Gwil, the horse was a twenty foot tall bear that was very hungry. Angela was still on his mind, in his life, in his heart. He saw her every day in the brown eyes of his daughter. He feared that any new relationship he would start would be doomed to be branded as the rebound relationship for the man with the dead wife. Even if he found someone, they had to pass the most important test in his book, being well loved by the most important person in his life, Brianne. He shook away the heavy thoughts as the red light turned green. He pressed his foot on the gas as he continued the drive to practice. Bri and Jasmine chatting in the back of his car.
Y/N had asked him to pick Jasmine up from school and drive her to practice. Y/N had a meeting with the college board about one of her students. She would meet them at the cheer gym later. Gwil’s mind couldn’t help but wander to Y/N. He hoped her meeting went well. He knew in just the short few weeks of knowing her that her job meant a tremendous amount to her. Professor Y/L/N had a very nice ring to it. His mind wandering further to dirtier thoughts. If they were ever to be together would she let him play the teacher's pet. His fantasy slowly took form in his head when Bri’s voice snapped him back to reality.
“Dad?” No answer came from the driver’s seat. “Earth to dad. Father?” She laughed. Gwil pushed all X rated thoughts from his mind and looked to the rear view.
“Hmm?” He answered, putting on a small smile to show her that he has really been paying attention the whole time.
“Could Jasmine and Ms. Y/L/N come to dinner with us?” Bri asked sweetly. The two had joined them for dinner every Wednesday night since that first practice.
“Please Mr. Lee!” Jasmine used the same sweet voice. Gwil rubbed his jaw with his free hand as the two girls started repeating the world please.
“Please please please please please please please please please please please please please!” Bri and Jasmine begged together. Gwilym laughed, smiling.
“It is fine with me but we will have to ask your aunt, Jasmine, when we see her.” He said. Both girls cheered happily as they looked at each other.
“Of course Mr. Lee!” Jasmine smiled. “Aunt Y/N likes getting dinner with you and Bri.” Jasmine said. Gwil felt his cheeks heat up for a moment. This came as a surprise to him in a way. Sure he knew she cared about their friendship but maybe this meant she also felt something more for him. He quickly pushed this thought away, no it wasn’t a good time for him to get into a new relationship. I’m not ready. His thoughts continued his mantra.
“Well we like having dinner with both of you as well, dear.” He answered her. Jasmine’s smile grew. She was a wonderful little girl who Gwilym had grown to care for. She didn’t know what she was doing for Brianne, but Gwil did and how it helped her improve immensely. He had known his daughter had tried to hide her sadness from him. It was something she tried to do to prove she was strong like Angela but she didn’t need to. Gwil and her grandparents knew that Brianne had every ounce of Angela’s strength tenfold.
As he pulled into the parking lot of the cheer gym he saw Y/N’s Jeep had not yet arrived. He also didn’t see Joe’s or Rami’s cars either which meant he would be alone. He would most likely have to face yet another conversation with Karen. Or he could just hide out in his car until his friends arrived. He shook his head for a moment, he had to go inside, he could handle this. As both young girls made their way inside, Gwil followed behind them making sure both safely got in the building.
He signed both in at the desk where the young man who Gwil had learned was one of the coaches’ sons sat. He gave the teenaged boy a wave before moving to his usual spot in the bleachers. He had settled into the groove of sitting with everyone, Gwil sat on a lower bench due to his height, while Y/N sat on the bleacher bench above him so she could make eye contact easier. Rami would sit above her and then Joe would sit beside her, the four almost making a little diamond of security. His blue eyes looked around the room before he spotted her.
Karen was talking to some of the other team parents, her eyes scanning the room for him. He dropped his head down trying to hide himself from her.
“Oh Gwilym!” She exclaimed, moving to him. Gwil sat up straight, damn he had been caught. He politely smiled and nodded. Please don’t come over, please don’t come over, please don’t come over… He repeated in his head, it was too little too late. She made her way over to his place of peace and quiet.
“Hello Mrs. Digumi.” He said politely. Her smile grew. Damn, his British charm. She stood in front of him.
“Please call me Karen.” She smiled still. “I wanted to ask how everything was going with Brianne. She is quite the little cheerleader. One of the best on the squad. Almost as good as my little McKenna.”
“Thank you. I will tell her that later. She certainly seems to be enjoying it and that makes me happy.” He said honestly, maybe he was wrong about Karen.
“You should have her over for a play date with my McKenna. You and I can exchange parenting tips or tips of some other kind.” She batted her heavily mascaraed eyes at him. He gulped softly.
“I will have to talk to Bri about it and get back to you Mrs. Dig-Karen.” He corrected himself.
“I am just saying Brianne seems like a very sweet girl and you don’t want her to get in with the wrong crowd before middle school. Popularity is key and my little McKenna is going to be one of the most popular girls in school. Just like I was. If Brianne settles herself with the likes of those children, her social life is over and I don’t want that for her or for you. Popularity is everything.” She said as she sat next to him. No, he wasn’t wrong about Karen.
Wrong crowd? What the hell, they are children not teenagers. He thought to himself before defending the children of his friends. Popularity is everything. What a bunch of bullocks.
“Jasmine, Joey, and Selma are good kids. They are smart, fun, courteous, kind and they are Bri’s friends. They were the first ones to welcome her with open arms,” He said. Gwil was a bit taken aback that a grown woman would say something like that about ten year olds. If Bri and Jasmine weren’t on the mat about 50 feet away, he would have forgotten his manners and let Karen have it.
“I don’t appreciate you talking that way about my friends’ children or about your child’s fellow teammates.” He continued, his tone was serious and sharp. Her eyes went wide as she heard the manner in which he spoke.
“Oh! I didn’t mean the kids! I meant, um, the parents.” She was quick to backtrack and try to fix her mistake. Her chance with the Welsh man slipping away. “Gwilly, you are new to all of this. I should have specified that I meant that if Brianne settles herself with the likes of the parents of those children, her social life is over. You both deserve so much but you are still so naive, honey.”
“My name is Gwilym.” He stated. She had called him Gwilly, a nickname that Angela would lovingly call him after a few glasses of wine. How dare this woman even try to put herself in the same realm of love as his wife.
“I am so sorry honey.” She smiled to try to cover up the large hole she had dug for herself. “Like I was saying to you that first practice those parents you have chosen to bond with don’t understand the mustang way.” It was clear to Gwilym that Karen intended to keep digging. “Especially Y/N, I mean she likes to pretend she was a good cheerleader because she was once a national champion herself. But she was the worst one of that team, I should know, I did date her brother.” Karen said as jealousy slipped between each word. It was clear to her that Gwilym cared more for Y/N than he would ever care for her. “They carried her to the gold medal and she got the recognition for it like everyone else. Even made her brother break up with me, how dare she. That bitch.” That was the final straw for him.
“I am going to stop you right there, Mrs. Diguimi. I do not want to hear you ever bad mouth my friends or their children. Please understand I am friendly with you because I have to be. You are the team mom and I do not really like having issues with anyone. However, my daughter is the only reason I am here. Y/N, Joe, Lucy and Rami plus their amazing children came as an incredible bonus to all of this. You did not.” He said calmly. “Now please step away from me and know, this is the last conversation we will have that is not about fundraising or cheering information. I do not take kindly to people belittling others or their children for their own personal benefit. Thank you and have a good night.”
Karen let out a breath of air through her nose, standing up quickly. Moving from the bleachers, staring him down.
“Oh I understand.” Her voice dripped with sweetly sickening venom. “If you ever change your mind I am right over there with the good parents.” She moved to the other waiting ‘Stepford Stangs’. Gwil let out a long breath as a smile appeared on his lips. God, how good it felt to let her have it and god how he wished Y/N had seen him. She would be so proud once he told her. It was the sudden sound of two voices that drew him away from his fantasy.
“I see you are on the list now.” Rami said as he and Joe joined Gwilym in the bleachers.
“List?” He asked, tilting his head curiously.
“I’ll let Joe explain.” Rami smiled.
“It is Karen Diguimi’s way of saying you are cancelled until you apologize.” Joe smirked. “We just caught the tail end of what you were saying but from what we heard, it was fucking brilliant.” He said quietly enough for just the three men to hear. “Welcome to the list. I have been on it since the ‘I won’t let my underage child wash stranger’s cars in the shortest shorts debacle of last summer season.” Joe said.
“Rami, how did you end up on the list? It seems like she likes you the most out of all of us.” Gwil asked. Rami chuckled.
“I once asked her if the pom poms for adults were necessary at a competition because it was just one extra thing to carry.”
“That’s not too bad.”
“She also hates my wife.”
“Ah, I see.”
“So we both reside on the list with Joe and Y/N.”
“What did Y/N do to get on the list?”
“What hasn’t she done to get on the list?” Joe laughed. “First it was being Dominic Y/L/N’s little sister during high school. Then it was becoming Jasmine’s key guardian when he died, then it was a few other arbitrary things I don’t remember, but most recently, it was getting you to be our friend instead of hers.” Joe said.
“It’s a rite of passage to get on the list.” Rami said. All three men laughed as Gwil felt more at peace than ever before. Even though Karen had basically verbally bashed children in front of him and badmouthed Y/N, she did provide one key piece of vital information. Y/N as a former national champion for the Mustangs, maybe even on the same squad as his late wife. He marked it in his brain to ask her later.
As practice started and the three men continued their conversation, still no Y/N. Part of Gwilym began to worry that something bad had happened. He checked his phone to see if she had called or texted but nothing. He tried to push the worry to the back of his mind as Joe began to talk about the upcoming competition this weekend. It was the same thing Bri had not stopped talking about for the past week. Even as he got her and Jasmine into the car today, they talked about their nervous excitement for it.
Joe was going to ride up with Rami and Lucy. Figuring Gwil would want to carpool with Y/N. Actually all three of them, Joe, Rami, and Lucy, hoped something would blossom between the two.
“Oh I hadn’t even thought to ask her. It is probably too late, I will just drive up myself.” He said he was a bit disappointed he hadn’t asked.
“She’ll say yes if you do ask.” Rami smled.
“She might not.” Gwil continued.
“Oh no, she will definitely say yes.” Joe smiled slyly. Both men looked at each like they both held the same secret that Gwil wasn’t privy to. It was at that moment Y/N moved into the gym still in her work clothes. Her blazer that was once covering the purple silk blouse, was replaced by a jean jacket. She wore black slacks and black vans.
“I don’t drive in heels, I don’t want to be responsible for that many lives.” She had told him their first Wednesday night dinner out with the girls. He knew that she kept a pair of black lace up vans in her Jeep for the drive home from the university.
“Speak of the Devil and she shall appear.” Joe teased her as she sat in her usual spot. She laughed and Gwil’s heart skyrocketed into flight.
“Ha ha. Good to see you, Mozzarella.” She snarked.
“That’s Mr. Mozzarella to you.” Joe answered. Both tossing their heads back gently and laughed. There went Gwil’s pulse racing for a moment.
“Did I miss anything?”
“Gwil’s on the list.”
“No!”
“Oh hell yeah!”
“How? Tell me! I have to know how Karen’s little lust for you somehow got you on the list.”
“Karen’s little what?” Gwil said.
“Dude, she wanted to bone you.” Joe said. “Hard.”
“Bone?” He asked.
“Sleep with you, knock boots, cherry pick, dude I know too analogies for sex.”
“She’s married!” Gwil exclaimed quietly to the group.
“Hasn’t stopped her before.” Y/N said. “Anyway, tell me how you got on the list.”
Gwilym began to tell the story of her confrontation with Karen. His own smile grew as he watched Y/N’s own smile grow as he got to the words match.
“Mr. Lee you are bloody brilliant.” She said, her hand rubbed his arm for a moment before she withdrew it. Gwil blushed.
“It was nothing.”
“This is cause for celebration. You being on the list. We will all go out kid free and celebrate soon.” Joe said.
“Sounds good to me.” Rami agreed. Y/N nodded, her eyes looking up and waving to Jasmine as the girl waved back.
“Hey Y/N, did you know Gwilym here was going to drive to Trenton all alone?” Joe stated. Gwil’s eyes went wide as he looked at the man over Y/N’s shoulder. He felt his cheeks heat up.
“Really?” She asked.
“Yeah. He was going to drive by himself.”
“Why don’t you ride with me? It isn’t as long as a drive if you have a partner.” She offered him. Her Y/E/C eyes meeting his blue. A small smile on her lips.
“Um, you won’t mind?” He asked shyly.
“No, it will be a treat to spend time with you alone.” She said honestly, all the room felt almost like it was silent around them. Joe and Rami watching the two just share prolonged eye contact. Gwil could almost swear there was a light pink tinge on her cheeks as well.
“Then it's all set. I’d love to ride with you.” He smiled. The tinge got a bit darker.
Joe poked his head between the two, “Is your, um, neighbor coming?” He asked her. His voice was almost giddy, like Gwil’s when he talked about Y/N on the phone to Ben. Who was this woman that was making Joe act like the same lovestruck teenager he was?
“Oh no. Unfortunately, Jolene had one of her advanced painting classes rescheduled to Saturday. It is too much money to miss out on but she promised Jasmine she was coming to Regionals.” Y/N said as she raked her hair up into a messy ponytail.
“Oh.” Joe’s smile faded quickly.
“You know you could just ask her out. She likes you too.” Y/N patted her friend’s shoulder. Joe shook his head.
“The divorce is still too fresh to Joey. It wouldn’t be fair to him for me to get involved with someone new so soon after his mother and I split up.” Joe admitted. Gwilym understood that point. A divorce was a similar loss to a child as a parent passing. Everything became different over night for them, changing so suddenly. Joe and his ex were friendly enough to a point for the sake of their son. The one thing that will keep them forever linked.
“Okay honey. One day though, Joey is just going to want his dad to be happy.” She said with a soft smile to their friend. Joe just nodded looking over at his son.
How Karen could ever call this wonderful woman a bitch was past Gwilym’s arena of thought. He looked at Y/N and smiled. God how beautiful she is even in the lighting of this gym. He thought to himself. As more time passed for the practice, the three experienced cheer parents told Gwilym everything he would need to know to be ready for Saturday. How he would have to have Brianne ready before 6 am to get her to the gym so that the team could take a bus together to the arena before driving there with Y/N. He would have to make sure he paced enough bobby pins, snacks, water, everything. His worry level that he would mess this all up grew. Especially the idea that he would have to do her hair in a high slick back ponytail. Brianne had hair like her mom’s thick and wavy, he could barely get it into braids without at least three Youtube tutorials.
“How about this? I bring Jasmine over at like 5. I can do both of their hair and you can make sure they have enough snacks?” Y/N offered, once again being the incredible person that she was.
“Please. I fear what I would do to my poor girl’s head.” He said honestly.
“I think you would be fine, but the first competition is the scariest for both the parent and the cheerleader.”
“It will put not only my mind at rest but Bri’s mind too. Thank you Y/N.”
“Anything for you, Gwil.” She smiled. “Oh and um, thanks for standing up for the kids earlier with Karen. She can talk all the crap she wants about me but Jasmine doesn’t deserve that. It means a lot to me and it shows me how wonderful of a human being you are.” She said before turning her attention back to the mat. His heart raced again. God, Wednesday nights really were his favorite.

White Flag Part 3
Dean and her grew up together, trained together. Also, absolutely can’t be in the same room without a fight ensuing. When she has to come back and help out the boys and their friends. If she stays too long will all her secrets come out. She swore he would never know, circumstances and their friends and family, they might have other ideas.
Pairing- Dean x OFC
Warnings: Angst!, oh and ANGST! Triggers for Alcohol and drug abuse. Anger issues. Dean angry and yelling. (That needs a warning). Eventually smut. Sexual situations, cussing, blood, gore, the usual Supernatural warning.
Thank You @winchest09!! Always you rock and talk and beta for me. You are a Rockstar!!!
Also Thanx to @jensengirl83 she made sure I didn’t miss anything. Love ya girly!!
Sam was pacing around the room, Benny was making multiple phone calls as Dean drank. Whiskey always cured his troubles.
“Really, I mean I know you don’t care, but you could try to help,” Sam snapped at his brother. Dean’s eyes traced to his sibling who looked very worried. He glanced over at Benny, who mirrored the same expression as Sam. “I do care,” Dean huffed.
The snappy retort made his brother snort in derision, “Yeah, sure.”
That rueful smile crossed Sammy’s face. Dean withered slightly, he hadn’t worried about the horrid wench that caused nothing but headaches for him for a while. This time, he had a bad feeling; four months and she hadn’t spoken to anyone. He called to tell her off for the car she bought Jack but she never answered. She hasn’t answered his calls in years. Sam, Cass, or even Jack. Hell, anybody but him, she answered within the hour.
It irked him, but it never bothered him. At least that’s what he told himself. Yet, when Benny came back within the week, checking every home and hideaway she had and there was no answer, he grew concerned. She hadn’t taken any of her go bags, her bank accounts, even the hidden ones were untouched; something was wrong. He felt it in his bones and that feeling never boded well with them. She was in trouble.
Y/n was a special kinda bitch in his book. Nothing and no one touched her without a crazy kind of surprise, or one hell of a plan beyond monster capabilities. This was a new hurdle.
The fact that Sammy doubted him wanting to find her or know what happened made his skin crawl. They may fight, shit, they hated one another, but he still wanted her safe. He NEVER wished her gone or dead; even if that’s how she made it seem over the years. She forced herself to be a ghost to them since the Mark of Cain.
He didn’t know why or even how the crazy woman did it, but she ghosted them. She was ruthless and wickedly smart, he would give her that. Her scars ran beyond skin though, to her core, and not even Sam knew them all. Hell, maybe no one did, even Benny. The vamp had become her companion, her best friend and he was happy to have him here, on his side.
Something was definitely wrong, they just had to figure out what. Sammy even called that bullshit British Men of Letters hunter, Ketch. As psychopathic as he was, was an excellent resource.
“You heard from Ketch?” he looked at his brother. Sammy just sighed and shook his head, looking down to his phone. No answer from Ketch meant no good news, at all.
Ketch was one of the pricks torturing Y/n, that’s why. Good ol’ Chuck saw his uses and used him. Nothing would stop that ruthless tea-swilling serial killer. Well, at least she had something pretty to look at.
“Well, now are you going to tell us the whole story Ms. Y/l/n?” Ketch asked, sheathing the blade he held.
Y/n’s smirk was her answer but she retorted just the same, “No, Mr. Ketch, but if you fancy a fuck, I am just laying about,” her brow crooked for what it was worth below swollen eyes, cuts that bloodied her vision, and bruised ribs that made it hard to breath.
The Brit turned to her and smiled, “Well, that is a fetching idea. Yet, I’m not allowed to play with God’s toys.” He leaned against the desk eyeing her, “You were always a beautiful woman. A vividly talented hunter, resourceful even beyond your abundance of wealth. Yet you,” his lips smacked in shame, shaking his head, “you stopped at Dean Winchester, what is that man’s pull? Truly, I want to understand.”
“You couldn’t,” she said simply. Looking at him gave a slight shake to her head, “No, not a sociopath like you. No empathy, no morals, you feel nothing. No guilt, no remorse, you hold nothing that would make you capable of wrapping your warped little mind around why I feel like I do about Dean. Plus, he doesn’t know and wouldn’t care.” A dry smirk was thrown his way as she let her head fall back against her restraints.
He eyed her, processing her, “Him knowing how you feel or the things you have done for him, terrifies you. You! I have seen and heard of the things you have fought and done.” He shook his head, folding his hand into his lap, “Yo-you’re formidable,” he shrugged confused.
Y/n snorted, “Obviously not,” jerking her wrists that were tied down for emphasis.
“No, no. it’s something more,” he dismissed her.
“Dean, flaws and all, is something you can never understand or be. Dean can’t help that he cares so much and he hides it. He can’t shake his loyalty, it’s a huge fault. Dean does whatever he has to for whoever he loves and cares about,” she growled.
Ketch smirked in realization, “And that’s not you. He has no love or loyalty to you. That’s why you accept this.” He gestured around, “You believe Chuck is wrong. Dean won’t care about anything you have done. Dean won’t care if you’re gone.”
“That’s right. He won’t.” She knew that for a fact. “I’ll give it to you, he will be surprised, but he’ll shrug it off.”
“Hmm.” With that Ketch got up and left the room. Y/n let her head fall back with force. Good thing she put her affairs in order years ago; everything she had would go to the Winchesters and Benny. Benny deserved a break from her. Benny had stuck by her side for years, put up with her boozing, drugging, and her massive attitude issues with no explanation from her. She even left a few tricks for Rowena. She did adore that sassy redheaded witch.
Ketch entered Chucks office sneering. A roaring fire, mahogany furniture, a desk the size of Sam. God did like to overcompensate.
“How is it going?” Chuck’s voice drew his attention, taking off his glasses with that smile of his.
Pursing his lips, “The same. She isn’t easily persuaded.”
Chuck sighed pursuing his lips rising from his chair turning to face the big picture window. “It’s been months. I might have to approach this differently. She is an anomaly, I can use her. I just need to find out how.”
“Maybe, it might be prudent to find out exactly what she means to Dean. I mean she may not be the chip you think she is to him. From what I know and heard from them, Dean is not a fan.” Ketch interjected.
“Dean also will still protect her, she is like family, and the others love her. So no, I can use her. Especially with the information I have, believe me I know what I am doing.” Chuck’s eyes cut to Ketch with a sneer reclaiming his seat at his desk. “Not only that, but once he knows EVERYTHING,” God’s eyes narrowed cruelly, “It will destroy them both.”
Ketchs brow quirked. “Are you going to kill her then?
The shorter man’s head shook back and forth, and he chuckled. “ Why? She is doing that to herself already. I don’t have to help with that.”
Ketch was confused. “Then why did you actually need her if you know everything?”
Chuck was silent a moment his jaw tensed. “Cause I know what happened, but not the details. I NEED the actual details. Which is why I have you,” he growled.
“Ah, I see. Well, it must be something big, if she is this tight lipped,” the taller man retorted, grabbing a drink from the wet bar.
The twinkle in Chuck’s eye unnerved him. “Oh it is, I heard the rumors, but the brutal truth. Oh thats why she is destroying herself. Fascinating to watch how humans react to things. That is why I need the truth, every nasty detail, of it all.”

The Montgomery Files: Chapter 7
Dredd x reader
By @adventuresintooblivion
Word Count: 2194
Summary: A gala. With embezzlement. And Wolfe’s family. Oh joyous day!
Note: Takes place after my series that you can find in the Masterlist.
Montgomery sighed softly, picking idly at her Lo Mein. Tonight was a weird night. Dredd and Y/LN were on a mission together for fucking once but it was guard duty of all things. It was for a fundraiser for kids or something like that. But not only were they undercover, the event was hosted by the Wolfes of all people.
After Chief had told the couple about their assignment, Montgomery had been called into Control for a special favor. While the Chief didn’t cash in her special favors very often, this one seemed to be particularly important. And illegal. Hence, why it had been given to Montgomery.
Her skills with a computer were somewhat infamous amongst her peers. However, they all were aware that what she did wasn’t always within the confines of the law. Most people tended to turn a blind eye since it kept street Judges alive. This was different though.
This assignment wasn’t dangerous and it was almost impossible for either Dredd or Y/LN to get injured let alone killed. It was a fundraiser for crying out loud. What were they doing, hiding guns in the punch? But with the Wolfe’ involved, Montgomery couldn’t help but wonder if this was a bit personal.
Despite the fact that she usually thrived on this underground night life, Montgomery couldn’t help but wish she was at home watching some stupid mystery show. Over the past couple years, she’d practically begged Operators and Handlers alike for a chance like this. To be working with the two best Judges to walk the planet and be allowed to do as much shady shit as she wanted? It was a dream.
And five minutes in it became obvious that Dredd had a stick up his ass the size of the empire state building. His tux was bare minimum. He refused to drink or even grab Y/LN anything. Something about not being intoxicated while on duty. Then to top it off, he wouldn’t dance.
Again Montgomery was staring into the live feed, the gaudy decorations making her go a little cross eyed. For some relief she happened to glance over at a separate screen which displayed, in live time, the charity funds and where they were going. A list next to the sum of money in the account caught her attention. It was all of the guests credit card information, security number and all. Even the bogus cards that had been given the Dredd and Y/LN were listed. If Montgomery wanted to, she could get herself a nice pair of boots.
She pushed the thought aside as she began tracking the funds. Money began to pour in as the bidding started. The website said the money was supposed to fund a research program for children affected by pollution. It was called KIDS2BCURED. While the name was cheesy enough to make it sound real, it didn’t mean anything.
Montgomery flipped through the half dozen windows she had open for this project before finally settling on the bank accounts. It was supposed to arrive in a joint bank account for employees and supervisors to use in order to fund their research. However, no matter how much bidding was done at the fundraiser, no money showed up.
Montgomery frowned. Maybe there was some weirdly high tech security on this.
But then she got curious and began tracking down the paper trail from KIDS2BCURED. It existed on a couple pieces of paper but besides registering for the name the actual company didn’t exist.
Suddenly one of her windows pinged as it begam active. As she pulled it up she glanced at the headline. This was a list of all the bank accounts owned by the Wolfe’s respective business ventures. The one labeled as DuoCare Pharmaceuticals was suddenly filling up with hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Montgomery followed the paper trail on this as well, wondering how real this company was compared to KIDS2BCURED. Soon she found a copyright license for the name and a deed to a warehouse. The nice a reputable kind that’s surrounded by the shittiest part of town and other empty warehouses. And the bank account itself was owned directly by Mr. and Mrs. Wolfe.
“Welp, that’s illegal.” Montgomery couldn’t stop the chuckle as it came unbidden to her lips.
Rodrigez peeked around the wall of the cubical, “Oh? Illegal? Now you wouldn’t be snooping around unauthorized locations again?” His sing-song voice barely penetrated the drone of the party coming through her headphones.
This time Montgomery rolled her eyes, “No, I’m authorized to go where I want this time. But you know the friendly neighborhood fuck-up?”
He nodded eagerly, slowly making his way over to peer at her computer screen.
“Her parents are totally embezzling money from the richest and most powerful families in the Megacity.”
“Aren’t half of those Mafia?”
Montgomery nodded and continued typing.
Rodrigez continued, “No fucking way. That’s too ballsy to be someone related to her. Wait, do you think she knows?”
Before she could answer Rodriez hopped back on his computer and began typing furiously. His face lit up with an intense focus. Montgomery glanced over curious. All she could see was Wolfe’ picture on the screen.
“Oh Montgomery, this is poetic. She’s there.” he exclaimed.
Montgomery felt her mouth fall open, “She’s at the fundraiser?”
He nodded, “She requested off just for it.”
Montgomery squealed happily, “Oh this is gonna be great. Wait, am I a bad person for wanting this to happen?”
Rodrigez shrugged as Montgomery switched the comms on, “Y/LN, Dredd?”
It was Y/LN who replied, “Yes?”
The Handler grinned, “So how’s babysitting?”
“Dear God, Montgomery, don't get me started. Is there something you need?” She groaned into the microphone.
“Hmm? Oh nothing except a possible arrest warrant for Mr. and Mrs. Wolfe.”
There was a long moment of silence on the other side of the comms, “Hello?”
Y/LN cleared her throat, “Yeah, I’m here. I just...What for?”
“Embezzlement. Turns out that little fundraiser they host eventually works around to line their own pockets.”
A deep chuckle came over the comms, “Oh that is too perfect. Has the warrant been made official yet?”
Montgomery rolled her eyes, “Come on, Dredd, what do you take me for?”
Montgomery quickly sent the information to the Chief as a soft groan emanated over the speaker.
“I think you’re a Handler that straddles the line of the law and who frequently dips their toe into questionably legal activities. You’re also really fucking loud,” he replied. The screen finally flickered to life as he finished.
“So why haven’t you arrested me yet?”
Dredd didn’t dignify her with an answer as the scanners began to identify party goers. People dressed in the most expensive of fabrics this city could create. Montgomery chuckled dryly as she noticed the copious amounts of potpourri. So this is what the rich did to hide the stench of the squalor that surrounded them.
A soft ping pulled her from her thoughts as a notification appeared on Dredd’s screen.
His deep voice soon followed, “Arrest order received. We will commence with caution.”
Y/LN grumbled, “You know if it was anyone else besides the Wolfe’ the we wouldn’t be waiting for a warrant. We’re Judges.”
Dredd sighed softly and turned to look at his wife, “They donated thousands of dollars to the Academy since Wolfe joined. Not to mention they have a monopoly on the materials used to make our uniforms bullet proof. Understandably, the Chief is a bit nervous about this whole thing.”
Montgomery interrupted, “Hey guys, maybe we should talk about this later when we aren’t being recorded.”
Y/LN pressed her lips together before standing and making her way towards the Wolfe’. Dredd followed close behind. His hand rested on his firearm gently as they got within speaking distance. Judge Wolfe was standing beside them.
In Montgomery’s opinion, her dress was hideous. It was a silver strapless monstrosity. The color plus the copious amounts of ruffles left her looking like a pale scrawny chicken with no breasts. Her badly dyed hair didn’t help matters in the slightest. And she was about to get the shock of her life.
“Mr. and Mrs. Wolfe you are under arrest for fraud, embezzlement and forgery. You’re coming with us.” Y/LN pulled out her cuffs and began restraining the suspects.
Mr. Wolfe stammered, “E...Excuse me? We’ve done no such thing! Where is the proof?”
Dred spoke over Mr. Wolfe’ rambling, “Sir, you know how this goes. We are waiting to sentence you away from your daughter. Don’t make this any harder on yourself.”
“What the hell do you think you’re doing? These are my parents, they can’t do anything illegal.” Judge Wolfe’ shrill voice pierced through the clamour of the crowd.
“Stand down Judge. This isn’t your case.” Y/LN shot her down. She wasn’t about to deal with her tonight.
“No I will not stand down! I mean seriously, this can’t be happening. They wouldn’t steal. They donate to a bunch of charities-.”
Y/LN finished for her, “While lining their pockets. We’re not going to discuss this further.”
Wolfe whipped out her badge, “I am a Judge too and I order you not to take them.”
Dredd began pulling the Wolfe’s away, “You don’t have that authority. Stop making a fuss.”
“Also, I’m your partner. I know you’re a Judge. You’re supposed to know how this process works,” Y/L/N grumbled.
Wolfe stomped her foot, “If you take another step I’ll arrest you for...uh...kidnapping.”
Y/LN growled, “Wolfe this is your last chance, get out of the way.” Wolfe folded her arms in defiance, “Alright, you’re charged with obstruction of justice. One night in a holding cell.”
Wolfe’ mouth fell open. She didn’t move in time to escape the cuffs and before long all three Wolfe’ were escorted out.
Y/LN let out a large sigh of relief as she smiled at her husband, “That was so satisfying.”
“DAMN FUCKING RIGHT IT WAS!” Both Y/LN and Dredd flinched, grunting at the pain that lanced through their ears.
Dredd growled, “What the fuck, Montgomery?”
“I’m sorry! I’m sorry. That was so cool. I had to put the comms on mute so I didn’t yell your ears off.”
“Don’t worry; I recorded it,” Rodrigez chimed in.
The heavy door on the transport closed with a heavy thunk. The Wolfes all hung their heads in shame. Y/N was about to leave but before she could get very far, something tugged on her hand.
She turned to see Dredd giving her only what she could call a sheepish grin. She couldn’t stop her answering smile from spreading across her lips.
“What?”
“Well.” He pulled her closer until their bodies were pressed together. “I can’t help but notice that you’re all nice and dressed up.”
She smiled as she wrapped her arms around his shoulders, her body molding against his, “You look rather handsome yourself.”
Dredd chuckled, “Why thank you. Now, we have a rare opportunity presented to us. We are both dressed up, out on the town and have the rest of the night free. Fuck the Wolfe. They’ll still be there in the morning.”
Y/N blinked in surprise, “Judge Dredd, putting off the law?”
He pressed his lips against hers, silencing her before pulling her away from the gathering crowd. They quickly disappeared into a nearby hotel. Y/N laughed nervously as she looked around.
The place was decorated lavishly. Even though they’d never been here before it was obvious it’d been decorated for some event. The chandeliers glinted like thousands of stars against a marble ceiling. Plush chairs were set around a large fireplace. Tables and desks shone with an intense red that Dredd didn’t know could belong to wood.
A clerk dressed in a tux glanced up from the front desk, “Hello, are you two here for the Midnight Gala?”
Dredd pressed his lips together, “ Yes?”
The clerk nodded before typing quickly on his computer, “Names please?”
“Mr. and Mrs. Y/LN,” Y/N answered.
After a few clicks he smiled, “Welcome Mr. and Mrs. Y/LN I’m so glad you could make it. I have your reservations right here. Would you like me to print out your invitations?”
Dredd shared a look with his wife before replying, “That’d be great.”
As they were being escorted through the hotel, Y/N leaned over to her husband, “What the fuck?”
The comms buzzed to life, “You’re welcome.”
“Montgomery? You’ve got to stop this, you’re being creepy.”
“Then turn off your cameras.”
Y/N grumbled before finally asking, “You did this?”
Montgomery chuckled, “You two looked so adorable such busy busy Judges. I figured you could use the break.”
Y/LN smiled despite the fact that the Handler couldn’t see her, “That’s awfully sweet of you. So, what’re you planning?”
“Nothing.” She replied. “But after you’re done I”ll be rooting for you to fuck him sideways.”
Y/N suppressed the urge to admonish her but instead turned off her camera and squeezed Dredd’s elbow, urging him to do the same.

Ok, I was gonna ask you about something else, but after reading the part 2 of the Mic and the exchanged student, I'm in DIRE need to see the part 3 where she has to start her hero career and she, obviously, need his help(not because she is not capable of starting it by herself but because she just needs him to continue to be by her side like it always has been)! Pretty please! Thank you! 💗
A/N: SKSKSK hOw cOUlD i sAy nO to tHat prEtTy PwEasE uwu. Haha yeah totally i’ll do this. Sorry if this comes out a bit late i’m working on some things. Thanks for requesting <333 Any requests let me know!
-So you know that bonus thingy i did in the last one? Where the parents were mean and all that? Well let's continue with that story line, I feel like that’s a bit more interesting for this!
-So i feel like after everything went down, realistically your parents would have forced you to come home and not contact Hizashi. Which sucks because he was the only one that really believed in you, And Japan became like a second home, even though your japanese isn’t the best and you may not look like everyone, you grew to love it and appreciate it. The thought of going back home to your parents stormed in your stomach
-Hizashi hated the idea too, he felt like your parents were mentally abusive and he really hated the idea of you going back. He talked to you and wanted to know if you wanted to get others involved and what not so you didn’t have to go back and leave the school. But you didn’t want to go through that whole process
-Besides you were “almost an adult” and soon able to start your hero career. You somehow convinced him to let it go and have faith you’ll be okay.
-”Alright Y/N, If you ever want it, you can always have a job under me and my agency. Even if you don’t wanna be a hero, you can work on my radio show.”
-Damn leaving Present was like the hardest thing. He was like a positive father figure that you always wanted and finally got, then when everything was good it got ripped away. It hurt so badly.
-Plus present took it so hard because he felt it was his fault, ‘Why did i have to say something?’ ‘It’s all my fault’
-Going back to your home country was like heck? Your parents forced you to stop with all this “hero mess” and made you go on a “more stable” path. They took away all your devices and stuff so you can “focus” but in reality they wanted to make sure you weren’t contacting Present or looking into hero stuff.
-Damn You’re really wishing you took Present up on that offer and let him help you stay
-You couldn’t work on your quirk or train so while everyone was asleep you’d do exercises and warmups Present taught you
-In those few years you were so miserable, and all you wanted to do was go back to japan and go on the path you always wanted to. You missed Hizashi and the friends you had made, Here you were lonely and tired, but there you had so much life and happiness.
-So secretly you were saving money so as soon as you get a chance, you can get away. So occasionally you’s ask for 20 or so dollars to get “books” or “go to the mall” when in reality you were just storing the money away in your secret trust fund lol.
-By the time of graduation you had enough money saved up to go travel, thanks to the extra help of graduation money from family members of course.
-As soon as you got home you brought a ticket, reserved a hotel and packed all you bags and left to the airport by the early morning. Whew you felt as if you were running from the Feds and for some reason that gave you a rush of excitement you hadn’t felt in a long time.
-finally you get to see Hizashi after all this time
-When you got to Japan, you went to the first place you could think of. Present’s agency. You couldn’t quite think of where else to get to him, so this was your first resort.
-Upon arriving you were so nervous. What if Hizashi didn’t even work there anymore?? What if he didn’t want to help? After all you kinda of cut him off even though you promised to keep him posted every once in a while. Although that wasn’t your fault but maybe he hated you for it?
-Either way it was too late now and you were already at the front desk, standing awkwardly standing
-“Hello dear, is there anything I can help you with?”
-“u-Ugh wEll uHhh???”
-“....“
-“....”
-“Do you have an appointment...or….”
-“nO...yeS? Haha i'm sorry, I'm looking for Hizashi Yamada. I’m an old friend and he told me to come here if I ever needed him..?”
-“...right...Your name?”
-“Y/L L/N.”
-“I don’t see you name under any notes or messages for him. By safety protocol I cannot let you up past this floor without a proper appointment or verification.”
-“Well is there anyway that I can leave him a note..with my contact and such? Or a way to set an appointment?”
-“Yes I can leave a note but I cannot guarantee he will see it and you can only make an appointment if you’re an endorser.”
-“Ah I see, Well I guess I’ll just leave a note then? Here is my name and number and can you just tell him I’m back in Japan. I need to talk to him.”
-“of course.” The lady at the front desk smiled as she finished writing the small note and moving it aside with the others
-You began to make your was towards the exit only to be stopped dead in your tracks when you heard an all too familiar voice boom through out the lobby
-“YEAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH WHATS UP OFFICE LAAAAADDYYYYY! ANY NEW MAIL FOR ME??? HMM HMM????”
-Turning around, your eyes met the sunflower blonde male that leaned against the counter with a Gigantic smile across his face.
-suddenly a similar smile he wore, slapped across your face as you unconsciously shouted
-“H-hizashi?!”
-instantly his eyes landed upon you, yet his award winning smile vanished and turned into a tired expression
-ugh another crazed fan waiting at the front desk for him.
-except you weren’t, you were his most favorite person on the planet. However you looked so different. And he could hardly recognize you.
-For a moment he just stared at you with the utter most bleak face, until it hit him.
-“America?”
-“Mr. Hizashi!”
-HE IS SOOOO HAPPY SKSKSKSKSKS LIKE BRO HE THOUGHT HE WOULD NEVER SEE YOU AGAIN.
-HE SMILES SO WIDE AND LITERALLY JUMP HUGS YOU
-“MRSSSS. AMERIIICAAAA.”
-he has a moment where he pulls apart and just gazes at you
-i-is that tears in his eyes??
-awww so soft
-sMotheRs yOu In kIssEs (friendly forehead ones lmao)
-He’s just so happy to see you looking healthy and safe. He loves you so much, even if it’s been years.
-“I thought something bad happened to you, I tried emailing and contacting you but no response. Oh I’m so happy I get to see you again! Are you okay? Are you hungry?? Wait let’s go talk at a restaurant.”
-So you guys go to a restaurant and talk and reconcile about the past. Apologized for not responding and talking so long to come back.
-“No worries I’m just glad your here now! How has hero work been? Signed with any major companies.”
-“Haha um actually no not yet.”
-“WHAAAAT?! What are you waiting for?? I’m sure by now your quirk skills and everything has gotten waaay better now with all the training you’ve probably had there. I’m sure you’ll get signed just like that.”
-“Actually Hizashi. The last time I actually trained or really used my quirk was the last time we trained together.”
-He literally thought you were joking. No that’s not possible that was years ago.
-“No I’m serious, my parents wouldn’t let me do hero work after all that went down and they limited the use of my quirk. These past years I’ve been studying to be a pharmacist because my parents says it’s a more realistic job for someone like me and hero work is nonsense.”
-What no? They couldn’t of held a grudge that long? No you were on such a good path to become a hero. He was sure of it. The world really needed someone to step up, with the rise of crime and he knew you could do it. So for your parents to say “nonsense” was so unbelievably stupid.
-“What?” that was all he could muster hearing your news
-“yep! And I couldn’t respond to you because my parents took away all my devices, and gave me ones that were restricted and only for school research purposes. Everything about heroes or quirks that wasn’t related to Pharmaceutical Purposes wasn’t allowed. I actually saved up cash for years and gathered up the money I got from graduation to buy a ticket and a small apartment here. Although I’m sure my parents will be hot when they noticed I left the country, but at least I’ll be thousands of miles away and safe from their antics right? Haha.”
-He was so shocked. He didn’t think him telling off your parents and protecting your from them while you were in Japan, would cause them to go to such extremes. What kind of people?
-“Y-yeah. But don’t worry I’m alive aren’t I!” You laughed out
-He smiles at your attempt of optimism and nodded in agreement
- “Do you still want to become a hero?” He asked twirling his spoon around in the soup he earlier ordered
-“W-Well yes. Actually I do a lot, this world is becoming more cruel and I really hate sitting back and seeing these innocent people who can’t fight back get hurt everyday. But I know it’s hard but It’s something I really still want to do.”
-“Okay then, Y/N I’ll train you and help you become a hero. In the moring I’ll start paper works and a letter to get you into my company under me. I’ll make sure you become the hero you always wanted to be...that I always knew you could be.”
-“Wait are you serious.”
-“Only if you are. We’ll train in the early mournings and I’ll take you with me on patrol at night so you can get a feel of what it’s like. I’ll guide you Y/N and do better than I did before. I owe it to you.”
-And after that, that’s exactly what happened
-you guys were out on a morning run by 5 and working out at the gym around noon. Around 11 at night you guys were on patrol until 3 am. And this went on for months
-He pushes you harder than you possibly knew your body could be pushed
-You your quirk became much stronger and stable.
-teaches you different techniques and gives you pointers on where to go out on patrol and how to look for suspicious behaviors
-you’re under his company and training for about a year or so before you break off and go on your own. He makes sure you’re fully confident and he knows that you’re at a good spot beforehand though.
-You actually get signed under a big company and recruited for a few others all over.
-Before you left his wing, you made sure you thanked him for everything and that he was totally fine with it
-which he was
-He’s still always beside you though. You knew in your heart you still needed his guidance and his friendship in your life, and same for him. He really adores you and doesn’t want to just say goodbye. It hurt so bad the first time, he couldn’t imagine how it would feel departing again.
- He checks up on you everyday and make sure to go out to lunch every one in awhile.
-When you’re kind of lost or stuck or need a shoulder to cry on, he’s always right there.
-“Hizashi...I don’t know. Maybe my parents were right and I’m really not cut out for this. It’s so hard and I’m so tired. I just really want to cry.”
-“Hey shh, don’t worry you’re doing great. It just gets hard sometimes but trust me it’ll get better. I’m right here for you.”
-If you parents did come back to Japan and came to harass you or what not, Hizashi is instantly there protecting you and makes sure they won’t ever do that again. You are not going back to the U.S. with them, even if he has to get the legals involved he would.
-Send little gifts to him every so often as a thank you.
-You stay in Japan for the first couple years of your hero career but then branch out a bit to different countries
-collecting Souvenirs and postcards to send back to hIzAsHI
-When you become super successful he’s like “See Y/N, what did I tell you? You’re going to be fucking great.”
