#my art #this is how I think theyd present themselves either in person or in headspace. the slouchers <3 #sifs outfit is simple; the boots i always give them (but with star laces for funsies); loose sweater; simple pants #the pants are Meant to be jeans but isat doesnt Specifically Have Jeans so. theyre just Pants.#the sweater is slightly looser bc sif doesnt seem like a Form Fitting Clothes kinda guy to me but hes Trying to be more open #on particularly good days theyll roll the sleeves up or wear a sleeveless one methinks #even if everyone Knows abt the self-harm scars its hard to Look at them.#i also associate them being more open with them not wearing an eyepatch. esp bc hes the only one of the three to go without it #for mal (or 'ami' as i like to call it) i wanted smth reminiscent of a mourning outfit bc mal du pays means homesickness #and i picked 'ami' as a nickname bc ami means friend :] at least according to my basic translator. i dont speak french <3 #ami's outfit being dark is also reminiscent of the inversion thing its got going on in canon.#ik the veil is starred in the original but i think ami would want the fewest reminders of home. on account of The Issues #(actually if i can come back to sifs laces sif also has issues with reminders of it bc of the memory loss but the shoelaces are His Choice—#—which gives them a form of control over it and they can keep it subtle or undo it if he wants. which makes it easier)#anyway. i put amis hair in an updo and smoothed the hat bc i think ami wants to be Unremarkable. Unknown. so it keeps its silhouette Simple #(it still keeps the pins. theres smth comforting abt them. they shine like stars and theyre not stars and theyre not Home. but theyre You.)#and i kept the long hair i gave loop. dont ask me why its so long when the canon hair is short. maybe their hair kept growing over the loop #OH and i drew ami in a side profile bc Silhouette and also bc i think itd make an effort to keep people away from its blind spot #andddd i think thats about it? plus i actually managed to keep this one within a reasonable timeframe.#if their hair changes lengths/the proportions change between drawings. no they dont 💛 peace and love and body craft #OH AND YOU FINALLY GET TO SEE WHAT I MEAN ABT SIFS BOOTS BC THESE ARE THE BOOTS I GAVE THEM ON MY REGULAR DESIGN ARENT THEY NEAT #i did actually try to give sif a different font but nothing Works for them like the pixel font. i cant explain it.#i think 'ami' would be a nickname that mira gives it. bc. shes Fantasy French. and its a sort of 'youre more than your yearning/loss' thing #me every time i think abt sifstem: yeah they just rotate in my head. nothing major #me every time i talk abt sifstem: oh hey im almost at tag limit again #au Good what can i say

I have a friend whose favorite series is a•t, which, Yknow, I am trying so hard to be polite about having extremely different tastes. but I cherish & support her and when it comes to bday presents I’m either waiting for someone to express a need/want for smth during any time of the year & just buying it & going ‘happy early/late birthday’ OR I’m planning months in advance (& sometimes collaborating w/ folks) for The Perfect Present but I can never bring myself to get something I’m halfhearted on… I’ve been on & off scrolling thru mercari/ebay/amazon/aliexpress and feeling very Eh abt the quality/size/price and was almost close to just getting two small cheap but cute plushies (13 cm & 10 cm :/), then on ebay I saw smth that was 20cm (good size) and actually very cute, but it was like $50 for the plush & $20 for shipping and while I cherish my pal I am not dropping $70 on a plushie (AND ESPECIALLY NOT ON A•T MERCH). so I do a exact match search of the specific brand and find one (1) online store selling it for $20 (incl shipping) (they’re having a 20% off sale). which is suspiciously low so I made sure to look up reviews outside the site & it looks legit, so I’m gonna buy it & hope that even if it’s not legit it’ll be an acceptable quality bootleg, and if it isn’t even that then I still have a month and a half to get one of my backup plans. in a week we’ll see if I get a Perfectionism Win.

Shop stuff: I'm still waiting for the clasps for the yellow floppy disks to arrive, but if they don't arrive by Saturday, I'll provide the ones who ordered those floppy disks a small discount and use a slightly different colored clasps & chain.

I'll try to get these shipped out on either this weekend or next Monday/sometime next week. I'm working full time so I have less time on my hands to do all of the packaging (and I'm the only one who does them). So sorry for the wait 🙇

#presenting my cursed sleep-deprived brainworm of the day: nagisa gets sold to ft4 for uni fees #or well. more like they’re looking for a live-in assistant dude. thing. or sth. idk #and papa shiranami just sells his son off bc ‘hey it’s literal free real estate!!! plus he’s gonna get paid for the entire deal so why not?’#nagisa initially pitches a fit at his dad a la gamushara yelling scene bc ‘dad!!!!!! how could you just sell me off to some strangers?!!!!’#‘shhhh son; think of the free housing. in ✨t o k y o✨. stuff’s expensive there yk’ ‘but still!!!!!’#so nagi sulkily packs his bags and heads out; trying to motivate himself with thoughts of ‘hey at least i’ll get to see hiyori more often’#then he arrives at the train station and sees our favourite 5-man non-idol gang… and promptly passes out #when he comes to… poor guy finds himself right smack in the middle of a hugeass canopy bed #with dai sitting smugly by the side like ‘the great me carried you back mans. you’re welcome ;)’ with a tip of his cool fedora #and that’s when nagi realises that 1) it’s not a dream and that he actually has to live with his oshis now. and 2) damnnnn this bed is soft #cohabitation shenanigans happen. as they would seeing as the entire gang + rio’s niece live together in this oddly huge megu-owned penthouse #plus free bi-weekly vacations to megu’s family villa bc they can never spend a waking moment without each other #and nagi finds it strange that the group is oddly accomodating of his uni schedule when it concerns his job tasks and such…#or that they collab with lxl (hi hiyori!!!) way more than they should typically be…#but he brushes it off when rio asks him to cook with him or sth idk i mean how often do you get to cook with your oshi????#and idk eventually the jig is up and it’s revealed that hiyori was the one who was accidentally behind the whole thing #like a ‘sorry nagisa i told uchida that you’d be moving here too but lxl were there the entire time and they went and got ft4 to buy you’#or something kinda thing. idk. bc everything has to be lxl’s fault; even when they’re just lurking in the bg #i’m def gonna regret this later lmao. it’s almost 2.30 in the am; i have not written in months; and i’ve never read a sold to 1.d. fic ev er #this is the kind of cosmic horror that only sleep-deprived brains can cook up ig…….. oh wells #it is suiyoubi my dudes #the dude from gamushara

Ooh, these two have a fun dynamic. Let's see!

Ki'to and Thancred have been rather close since ARR, like brothers honestly. They've also gone through a similar journey to their tanking days, starting off with DPS that allows them to help from the sidelines, to feeling so powerless after losing a loved one that they grew to take on a far more protective role. And now when they take to the field together, they know that the other has their blind spots covered.

So, to reflect that, especially the fact that they are always there for each other, I would have to go with Army. Honestly it works from both perspectives.

I could have gone with something more playful to reflect their brotherly nature of goading each other on, but underneath everything they're willing to lay down everything to protect each other and those they both hold dear.

oh I really liked this one but I can’t really pin down what made it stand out to me. more drama/tragedy… it feels more self-aware in a way? I like how dulled some of the emotions are portrayed.

#mm recs #recs #well good for folks who like angst with a happy ending I think #there’s the biphobic trope of a bi character being portrayed as promiscuous though in this one there’s like… a character specific reason #which might sway folks one way or the other #I also feel like different readers would have different comfort levels with the consent because it’s like #well the li is essentially coming at it from the perspective of I’m Doing Something Terrible And Imposing On Someone Who’s Kind #and the mc is more coming at it from woah! kind of a surprising development! not against it though!#uhhh I really like how the li has A Customer Service Mask but it’s not that dramatic of a shift imo #he just goes from :) to :|#and I also like how the nephew fits into the story #a lot of focus on mc’s concerns & the nephew’s insecurity kind of clashing #plus I actually think it’s interesting how li sees the nephew’s situation as an inverse of his own #and how that feeds into his internal conflict #‘his uncle took him in like how mine did and my adoptive family treated me like shit I should keep an eye on him’#-> ‘oh actually his uncle genuinely cares about him in a way mine didn’t’#-> ‘getting attention from someone who has that quality soothes some of the hurt’#-> ‘if I asked him to Choose Me that wouldn’t be fair to him and the kid and anyway if he Chose Me he wouldn’t be the kind of person I want’#I feel like some romances do jealousy/competition with a child being cared for in kind of an annoying and stupid way #but I think it works here because 1) directly acknowledging This Is Related To My Own Childhood Experiences #2) he also doesn’t want to actually compete with a child and he thinks it’s stupid #3) he’s got Hella Baggage skewing his interpretation of the situation and himself #and when I talk about dulled emotions #I like how you get a sense of a dull everpresent ache that flares up #it’s comfortable it’s familiar it’d mundane. Cards used as example for balancing the modes:

#asks #custom cards #a little bit worried about the red + white mode #+7 power + trample + lifelink is. a lot #but it costs 6 mana so it might be fine #probably not even good enough to be a modern rare anyway #anyway finding comparisons for balancing was kinda hard #i'm not entirely sure how spree is balanced but i tried costing each mode like an individual spell #the drawback is that you have to pay 1 more mana but the benefit is the versatility and ability to cast multiple modes #so i think it balances out #couldn't quite find perfect comparisons for the red and white modes #Colossus is multicolor but it's also a modal spell so i think red could maybe probably get +4/+2 and trample for 2 mana #Prepare gives +2/+2 for 2 mana and scaling up makes the lifegain stronger but also less flexible for untapping so i think it's fine #plus Prepare has Fight as an aftermath #another comparison is Butcher's Glee which gives +3/+0 and lifelink and regenerate for 3 mana #regenerate is basically indestructible so that's even better than +3 toughness so that kinda makes up for the lack of untapping #overall i THINK each mode is balanced as a standalone spell and that's kinda sorta how some spree spells are balanced so i think it's fine #rare spree spells like Three Steps Ahead have some modes that would be too strong as a normal spell. 2 mana to counter any spell is strong #and the other modes (2 mana to draw 2 discard 1 and 3 mana to make a copy of a creature) are still reasonable as standalone spells #so i think the balancing of my spell is fine and maybe even a little underpowered for a rare #i had no idea what to name it at first so i started thinking about jeskai (both the clan and the color trio) and remembered Hinata #a jeskai legend that wants you to target stuff! perfect!#one quick trip to the wiki to read its lore and i had the perfect name #this was made for the inventor's fair contest this week to make a card that can target multiple things #and boy do i love targeting things! so i came up with this unique little idea that fits both my tastes and the contest perfectly!#i'd be surprised if no one else references Hinata in their cards #oh yeah i wanted all the modes to be different sizes so that's why i insisted on the white mode being big #made this yesterday and looking at it again today i'm still satisfied with it so i think i'll submit it
