this is a controversial take but i don’t really think sexual wincest dynamic would be the same as the dynamics they have with girls. mostly because this interpretation tends to ignore canonical nuances that define sam and dean’s relationship, which includes dean’s extreme possessiveness, sam’s willing submissiveness with dean (especially when it comes to physical touch), the fact that dean is the only one with whom sam is able to be physically vulnerable in a way he can’t with anybody else, the fact that dean genuinely loves taking care of his little brother. it’s an essential part of their relationship, and it just makes sense for it to be part of their sexual dynamic too

Or at least they were headed towards that before SHE DIED THEN HE DIED THEN THEY BOTH FORGOT ABOUT EACH OTHER AND NEVER MET EVER AGAIN. Though she’s also the guard attack hound keeping him safe… And vice versa he heals her and can rewrite her very being with just one wave of his hand. They’re both so so mentally and physically vulnerable both but they cling onto each other. They can’t perceive things accurately but despite it all someway somehow they stumble into something closer to resembling companionship just before they both die. Falin is just that kind and Thistle is just that lonely. Overworked.

We both haven’t lived for ourselves in a very long time, haven’t we.

They both have a similar devotion to the people they love but again the difference is that Thistle starts overtsepping while Falin is self-effacing. The other difference between them is that people care about Falin <3 People have given up on Thistle long ago, and he has given people reasons to, while people refuse to give up on Falin. Yaad has a mini arc about it dw about it it’s ok he’s not all alone in the end 😭😭 He reached out for Marcille’s hand but they already all wanted to help him, they just had to be given the chance to, Yaad just had to be given the chance to, it’s okay I’m okay

hi there! love all the homestuck analysis you've shared so far, really fueling the fire for my hyperfixation lmao. i was looking over the shipping chart you made, and was SUPER curious about feferi <3 john. it's an interesting idea i've never seen before, would you mind expounding on that?? what was the inspiration for it??

Admittedly, this one is a little bit just pairing the spares, but IDK, it might be cute. Feferi's intro states that she loves putting ocean fauna in cages, but they always swim through the bars, but that's okay because she loves them - a very John Thing. John, as evinced by his red interest in vriska, is kind of into condescending Mean Girls, which Feferi is, though Vriska proves to be too genuinely dangerous and upsetting for him, and it doesn't work out.

Plus, Roxy (pink girl whose similarities to Feferi are well-documented as part of her foreshadowing for red with Eridan) immediately gets a crush on John based pretty much on appearance alone, which to me indicates that John and Eridan kind of physically resemble each other (black hair and glasses? IDK). Since EriRox is so much in the cards (Wizard Hipster Prince who is also a despotic Harry Potter is basically Roxy's ideal man, and bubbly nice Pink Girl cat-themed Rogue is a combination of Eridan's two red pursuits, Feferi and Nepeta), I kind of take the JohnRoxy thing as a hint that JohnFef is in the cards.

Also, in a less textually evinced way, I think Feferi's the type of rich girl who would see John and go awwww baby i need to get you a diamond studded collar and put you in a handbag <3 <3 <3 like, i think she likes 'em goofy and a little helpless, and john likes 'em a little mean and a lot confident, so it vibes to me

I never liked Melanie as a person but was very intrigued by her as a character, since she's as deep and well written as any other on the show, (until fandom made me hate her). I'd forgotten though that the dislike was immediate + from her first appearance we get to know one of her most fundamental (and insufferable) traits, that is that she does exactly what Jon does, worse-ish* even, but she thinks she's better than him because, well, because it's her and she just is. Which will come back full force later on to such wonderful effects

I would actually be really interested in seeing mitch at center for a little bit (obviously not forever, he's such a good winger). I mean they've tried willy a bunch and it's never worked out and mitch had experience with the knights I'm pretty sure so it's not like that could go any worse (though i truly believe you could put that man in any positon on the ice and he'd do at the very least decently at it). The team is getting pretty patchwork right now so they might as well. What are your thoughts?

i'm certainly not opposed at all with the lack of center depth and lack of info about auston. the biggest issue imo is still kind of who gets matchups against other teams top lines bc idk if you want just jt up there without a player like mitch on his wing but i also don't know if you want mitch marner learning a new position up there either. but short term i think this won't matter too much. it's really telling about what mitch marner can do though, lol, and it's just yet another thing they might have to come to rely on him for. he has all the strengths a typical center does in terms of defense and puck distribution and endurance. also his faceoff percentage isn't terrible iirc but he doesn't take them that often so i'm sure it'd need some work. we really are lacking at c, and from the sounds of it, i don't think they're gonna try mitch there immediately either so idk. i don't think he played c in london for any long stretches of time right? like i have no doubts about his ability, but ultimately i think this team is looking for a 3c more than they are converting a top 6 player into center in the long run so. i'm actually also very excited to see minten get some games with us based on what i've seen ppl say about him in the ahl.
