Yes I agree Miaomiao would be a bit reserved and shy at first upon reuniting with Ziqi. I think she'd be afraid of disappointing him, like the her in the real world wouldn't be everything he'd dreamed of. And Ziqi would harbor the same reservations, so they'd have to kind of stumble through that of course. But they'd get past it, and everything would fall back into place.

Teen Ziqi would especially be an angry gamer. We know he took out his anger at the world in his writing, so I'm sure he'd do the same playing games. Hopefully he was never mic'ed up. xp It's cute to imagine them playing games together. I bet they'd get super competitive.

RE: Miaomiao, I think she probably has a couple close friends but not more than that, and she's definitely as you noted above, more likely to spend time at home online than anywhere else. She might even have some close online friends that she's never met IRL. The idea that she acted as she did because she saw herself as being in an RPG makes so much sense! But yeah, it is definitely her true self that she was letting out without reservation for once. She's freed from the expectations of real life (work, money, etc), free from the palpable grief that she no doubt still experiences, especially around her remaining family, and she's free from the loneliness she seems to have in every day life. She can really, really be herself. How nice that must be.

(OTOH I think Ziqi has NO close friends in real life. I imagine that outside of family, his closest relations are like, his editor and his agent. Maybe he has a cat. I could definitely see that.)

Okay post-canon Miaoqi headcanon: Ziqi's terrible dumplings he makes during the series are identical to how his dumplings look in the real world. In fact, he's actually a decent cook, and the food he makes is good, but it's always completely hideous. Before Miaomiao, he only ever cooked for himself so he didn't really think about this or realize it.

Imagine the lumpiest cake you can imagine, but you bite into it and wow it's delicious?? That kind of thing. The color of his soup is a little off, but somehow it's tasty. The way he cuts and slices his meat makes it look kinda gross, but it's just the right amount of cooked. His bao look like misshapen little butts, but they're the perfect level of soft and pillow-y.

Miaomiao tries to help of course, and she can with some things (like shaping dough), but he's just a better cook than her so when it's time to have friends and family over to eat she tells them beforehand "yes, it will look weird. I promise it tastes good. Please just eat it and don't accidentally make any faces when you see it.”

koshie has been staying with a friend for almost two weeks while ponzu’s been in heat but i’m picking him up tonight. it’s a pain having an extra dog around, but i do miss him like crazy. it’ll be nice to see him again and love on him before he meets his potential home on thursday.

he came here with no socialization, knowing no words, and afraid of other dogs. i’ve been treating him like an 8 week old puppy, introducing dogs, other animals, field trips, and more as he’s grown in confidence. it took him weeks to play with any of my dogs, but once we made that hurdle and his sister (who he was very dependent on) was homed, we started to make huge strides.

the goal was always that when his perfect home came along, he’d be ready for them. based on his glowing report for the last two weeks, he is.

The other day I saw that panel again about Toji sleeping around because he needs a roof over his head somehow, and I'm just gonna put this out there, that I'd easily be one of those delusional women who would try to make him fall in love with me. Hell, I'd even try to be his sugar momma/babe with my minimum wage job, lmao

this made me scream lol, sorry but same. i think i could make him change and you know what...in my little head i think it is possible. 

i think he would be reluctant at first, like a stray cat you have to tame. one that pulls back when you try to pet him but slowly gives in as you show him that you are not going to hurt him. 

the first time he sleeps over he makes it clear that it doesn't mean anything, he has a pout and a wrinkled nose, dirty shirt from the drizzle that fell earlier and a band aid you placed on his cheek. even though toji's rules are clear, sex only, you wake up in the middle of the night with his arms wrapped around you, tied around your waist like a knot that you can't get rid of. 

he smells like home, like you. like the detergent you used to wash his clothes, like the shampoo he took without your permission to wash his hair and you can't help but cling to him more in search of that warmth.

the next week he gets trapped in your house when he is putting on his tight shirt and heading out. torrential rains pelted the city, preventing him from seeing the road, so you forced him to watch your favorite show on the couch with treats you had at home and a warm blanket over his legs. 

"we're not a couple," the semi-domesticated cat reminds you with a growl. 

two months later and toji doesn't want to get out of your bed after you have sex, hugs you, snuggles you and refuses to let you out of his grip when you demand that you have to go to work. toji stays in the mornings after breakfast and accepts when you invite him to lunch on your off time.  

"we're not a couple," he reminds you as you put the face mask on him and you can't help but laugh. you have his shirt on and he's in your bathroom half naked with one of your headbands holding his hair back to let you see his face better. 

you help him shave, he rewards you by massaging your back, your feet, fucking you slow and soft in prone bone. toji claims he's not your boyfriend, but slowly the line becomes blurred the day he arrives with a box in his hands with his belongings and doesn't leave again the next day… or the other.
