Some who succeeded thanks to their eras are quite clear-cut in the reasons for their triumphs, but some surprise us thanks to the style they have played in. For instance – what were Add N To (X)? Sure, you can call them either big beat or electrotrash, yet you could also consider them to be post-rock. Basically, they mixed everything from the late 90's, yet they still had their own identity. I believe they would've prospered right now, because the times caught up with them and one does ask oneself how would have the tune on the link be seen, had they re-released that? What once sounded gleefuly dystopian turned into a sad realism, there's an undercurrent of incredible melancholy that is forced into a Stockholm Syndrome submission. Yes, they wrote of our period before the latter.
