Shitty af options is the understatement of the century but one of them just got granted an insane amount of power and the only thing people are freaking out over is what the OTHER guy could do with that power next year, so it seems pretty simple who to vote for imo. The curruption in the Supreme Court is the biggest enemy, and there's only one way to try and fix it and protect human rights

hello everyone! soru here once again- thank you to everyone who voted in the interest check! a whopping 129 responses (and thank you to the 2 people who said no, that was insanely funny statistics wise, and i respect your no!)

the official name of the zine is the valley of dreams, given to me by my dear friend quill (@quillaffinity)! Applications will open from on the 5th and close on the 15th of december, after which i will sort through applications!!

things to note!

as both of my other twst zines are somewhat creeping towards being large (debated between 35-50 people, with 50 being mega according to some zine websites), the maximum number of people i am willing to take (including mods), will be 40 people.

that means we may reject some people, depending on how many apply, but pls don't feel bad! if we do return for a volume 2, which is likely considering diasomnia (one of the most popular dorms out of the 7), you will be approached by me via this account or @le-monchou and will be given priority over newer applicants!!

in the application, we will ask for zine experience (other fandoms are 100% fine, and it is not compulsory to have any) along with one finished piece of art/fic or one of each (art can be of any size, fics must be from 500-2000 words) if you are applying to be an artist, writer, or both. linking tumblr/instagram/wattpad/ao3 is a-okay!

vini is an incredibly talented player but i could name so many reasons based on the rating criteria of the ballon d’or for why he didn’t win:

- his votes were split across his other club mates (this is directly m*drid’s fault for doing bad PR and also for just putting a bunch of superstars together instead of building a TEAM whose play shows off each other’s strengths—it means vini is not ABSOLUTELY INTEGRAL to the club’s success);

- he so often DOES NOT show class on the pitch—and i’m not referring to him speaking out against racism here, bc of course he fkn should;

- and… he HAS NOT BEEN A KEY PLAYER PERFORMANCE-WISE FOR HIS NATIONAL TEAM!! as a brazil nt supporter since before i came out of the womb, i can confirm that his OWN COUNTRYMEN were saying this during the copa américa.

so why is the seleção posting this saying they’re SO PROUD of him as if he saved someone’s life or something?? did they do this for neymar every year that he lost despite being one of the biggest talents football has ever seen?? 😭😭😭 like wtf is going on in the simulation rn?????

Icl, I’m just seeing the post that everyone is going on about and while I do believe that transmisogyny (and transmisogynoir- I wrote an entire long-form essay my junior year of highschool about this problem actually and I do think that there’s more acceptance to transmascs in general bc- drumroll pls- patriarchy and men thinking its cute that some women would want to “be men” even tho that's like not how it works- whatever. Point is, intersectionality sucks ass when it comes to oppression and our transfem babies usually get the brunt of it bc terfs and patriarchy and transphobia- read my dissertation when I find it) is making the lesbian community hostile and unwelcoming to transfems, I- a non-binary lesbian- have never felt coddled or welcomed into the lesbian space outside of finding your blog actually. When I first was coming to terms with my gender and how I wasn’t sure if I identified as a woman but knew I didn't feel like a man, I remember so clearly having a conversation in the comments of one of those 2019-2020 lgbt/lesbian safe space instagram pages and it was lesbian visibility week and I had commented “hey am I like still allowed to identify as a lesbian if I’m afab non-binary” and there was just comment after comment telling me things like no, read the lesbian manifesto, lesbian is wlw you’re not a lesbian anymore bc you aren't a woman anymore, and amongst it all was ONE one singular person who explained that I could still identify with lesbian however there was actually a flag and term for nblw and that was trixic. From that day on, that was what I identified with. When family members ask, I say I’m queer. When people my age, in the community or not, ask, I say trixic or non-binary lesbian. To this day, I sometimes feel unwelcome among lesbians bc there are many out there who still think the way those people did, but like one of the anons said, the problem with transfem/masc/nonbinary acceptance is more nuanced and boils down to transphobia as a whole if we want to just make it black and white. I hope this didn't come off as me trying to make the convo about me and enby ppl and our struggle but like that other anon said that post felt very black and white and tone wise it felt a little erasive to me. I don't see why we have to erase the struggle of other trans people in the community to uplift and start changing the struggle for another. It’s like the suffragettes doing everything in their power to stop the same black people they helped free from getting the vote before them. It’s a battle of the oppressed when solidarity matters so much more. Instead of saying “well this group has it worse, include them more” we could’ve just said something like “if we’ve got people genuinely thinking about making the lesbian community a safer space for non-women, we can make it a safer space for the women as well, trans or otherwise.” Anyway, i’ve typed and said enough I think so yeah… my thoughts. Be nice about them, I’m willing to take constructive conversation about them.

oh mars, this broke my heart reading. first of all i'm glad this blog has become a safe space for you, and second of all i'm so sorry you went through what was probably a horribly isolating experience on that insta page.

yeah i think i could see how that post was a little black and white-- especially coming from your perspective where you yourself have been unwelcome in lesbian spaces because you're nonbinary. it's like you said: trans women are at that unique intersection of transphobia and misogyny, and i think the main point of that post was supposed to be that even in the most 'inclusive' spaces, trans women can still be unwelcome. but i agree with what you said, comparing oppression to find the biggest victim isn't productive at all, and solidarity is the key!!

Hi! I got a masters in social work (community organization and development). I find myself struggling with this too. Every lesson we had and simulation we ran in my courses had nothing on the experiences I’ve lived and what we are currently seeing in this life. It’s difficult!! BUT I will say that something that comforts me is the fact that we are doing work outside of voting to make strides for everyone’s liberation and comfort. Regardless of how this election turns out, there will still be opportunity for us to be communal and help each other and give us strength to continue to resist together. When it comes to voting, again I’m very torn as well and also pretty lost because that wasn’t ever my focus experience wise or education wise (unfortunate but it is what it is). I think it shows that you have a lot of care and compassion and the best advice I’ve received regarding voting is that it’s not about telling people how to vote, especially in a time where both major candidates seem to be moving towards bringing this country to ruin. But we need to be encouraging people to utilize their right to vote regardless because once we stop or lose that right, THATS the point of no return when it comes to resistance.

Personally, I find it helpful because I’m still doing outside work with communities on an organizational basis and an individual basis. And it’s also helped me understand more about civic duty. My state has multiple congressional seats up for election this year too so I’ll be focusing more on those elections and as for presidential election I’m still figuring it out tbh but practicing the civic duty isn’t just for the sake of choosing the “lesser evil”. It’s because once we stop utilizing our rights, it’s easier to take them away.

But anyway, sorry for long message! Just wanted you to know that you’re not alone in this being hard or scary!

And you are right about not having to tell people who to vote for, just encouraging to vote. I just wish that I could push those in positions of power to do something to earn those people's vote rather than the other way around.

bc of all of this hyunsik as a schoolmate was an absolute terror,, it was nvr the glory level bad but he would bully n intimidate ppl to get his way ( like threatening to beat ppl up if they don't give him their lunch money bc he alr spent his n didn't wanna seem 'poor' enough to ever run out of it, etc etc ) or cheat in every aspect of his life, from relos to exams and there would be like 0 repercussions for all his bad behaviour

anw to cut a long story short, he makes it into kbo, sk's major league baseball ( his team is the doosan bears ) n starts earnin that $$$ athlete salary yay!! the only problem is that everyone in major league is hella talented so no one's lickin his asshole anymore n he can even be a bit of a bench warmer / clipboard holder at times

he starts to get a lil panicked that he's not The Best anymore n he starts to worry ab his position on the team so he starts doin Real desperate shit like blood doping to help him make the starting team + illegal gambling n signin up for reality tv to boost his wealth + fame in case his career does end

as per his skele's desc he was q well-received ( largely attributed to how respected baseball is as a sport in sk as opposed to his actual character ), but more imptly, after this sudden surge of fame outside of just the sports fanbase some of his victims h8rs have slowly trickled out n exposed his bullying + cheating ass :))))

some were true, some were fake n the fake ones were so severely rebutted that everything kinda just flew under that umbrella n all got swept under the rug, but then gg comes back to life n exposes that he's been blood doping n now the sports fans r also mad!! so now he's suspended for the whole szn while all these investigations r pending :))) cue park yeonjin's why is my life so hard

Q!Bad’s system IS PRACTICAL???? I genuinely don’t think q!Forever understands Bad’s system because it isn’t impractical at all. U literally just line up all the ideas and have them vote yes or no on each one. If an idea has 50% of the votes (or what ever) then it becomes a law. How is that any different time wise??? It literally takes the same amount of time and potentially even have more ideas being implemented then Forever’s method??
