Thinking abt an au where Rex and the 501st adopts Boba instead of letting him go to jail… I feel like Rex has a lot of the mando genes urging him to adopt feral children
Fives would tease boba and say that he’s like a little angry tooka
Tup would be happy to not be the youngest anymore and would be really sweet to him
Hardcase and fives would both help him cause chaos
Echo would try to teach him some of the regs but end up letting him do whatever because he has cute little tooka eyes that works very well
Rex would treat him sort of how he treats the domino twins, but would probably be more openly affectionate and would make sure that he’s never on the field (he totally doesn’t steal boba from the barracks and lets him sleep in Rex’s quarters and holds him like a pillow… it’s okay Boba likes it, he missed having a dad)
boba would try to sneak out on campaigns, but the 501st all collectively agreed that clone or not Boba was their baby brother and he is not going to an actual battlefield
they also have a teensy bet on who boba actually listens to the most (it’s echo but Fives refuses to accept it)
Anakin, to Rex’s dismay, would teach him how to be a pilot
Ahsoka would help with any chaos
The 212th would try to get him transferred to them because they want a baby brother too but Cody would just say “we already have a baby brother (Wooley) and they’d probably kill us if we took Boba”
Plo Koon would start trying to get the Wolfpack placed in more campaigns with the 501st and Wolffe also starts helping with a bit of chaos (both Wolffe and Boba are biters and you can’t convince me otherwise)
A lot of them would ask what Jango was like and Rex would storm up and cuff them on the back of the head because “wtf this kid is still grieving give him a god damned minute”
And yes they put him in the center of the clone piles when Rex doesn’t steal him (Rex will join usually anyway)
But the bad thing abt this would be when one clone doesn’t come back… after the citadel Boba would’ve been devastated to hear about Echo. After Umbara he would’ve been crying himself to sleep from all the deaths. When Ahsoka left he would’ve clung to Rex or one of his brothers because what if they leave too?
Boba is a hurt child and needs his brothers to fully heal, but when he’s with his brothers he can still get hurt

@theneutralmime
I'm very definitively positive on clone/Jedi relationships, both platonic and romantic.
I'm going to hit the biologically children thing first because like... no, they're not. If you want to go that route, then you have to count Grogu as a middle aged adult because he's 50 years old even though his official name for a while was literally "The Child" and he's definitely treated like a child in the narrative more often than he isn't. Jango Fett was (as far as I'm aware) a regular human. The clones, the altered ones at least (so not Omega or Boba), are almost an entirely different species. They LOOK human, but they've been engineered to be different from the baseline human they were based off of to the point that they aren't necessarily all that similar to a regular human beyond cosmetics. So if you don't view them as "fucked up humans who should be treated like children because they're technically only 10 years old" and instead view them as "subspecies of human that reaches maturity around 9 years old", then it's a lot harder to view them as children.
I think that it's fair to claim that the clones are SHELTERED and likely fairly ignorant and naive about a lot of things in the world due to their upbringing, sure, but that doesn't make them children. They're also relatively young regardless of whether you'd consider them children or not, the youngest ones we know about are sent out to war at what would be the equivalent of about 20 years old and they're only around 26ish by the time the war ENDS. So even accounting for the accelerated aging, they're still pretty young and there's going to be a lot about the galaxy and how to live in it that would be new to them. Their understanding of how relationships work is going to be skewed given everything we know about their childhoods and the way the Kaminoans canonically seem to view them.
So I think that the Jedi and clones would likely often end up in a sort of mentor/mentee relationship, especially in the beginning. We see this most strongly with Yoda and the three Coruscant Guard characters and Plo Koon with the three 104th characters in the first four episodes of season 1, as well as with Shaak Ti and Fives and Echo during the Clone Cadets episode of season 3. The Jedi are natural teachers and I think they'd start to get to know these young men who are so devastatingly intelligent but who were only ever taught about how to fight a war and they'd immediately take the opportunity to help guide the clones towards figuring out who they are and who they want to be. We're pretty much told that this is true point blank when I believe it's Nala Se or Lama Su speaks to Dooku during season 6 and they say that the Jedi have been encouraging individuality in the clones. Fives says that the Jedi respect the clones and calls the Jedi their best friends at two separate points in the narrative. The Jedi literally use their OWN PHILOSOPHIES to help the clones learn what it means to be PEOPLE and to embrace that for themselves.
The relationship between the Jedi and the clones is honestly one of the most beautiful and heartwrenching dynamics in the entirety of Star Wars to me. Their destinies are entwined irrevocably and they are each the others' doom and salvation all at once. The Jedi help the clones discover who they are, but they're also going to end up being the reason the clones lose all sense of themselves. The clones are a light in the dark for the Jedi during the war, but they're also going to be the weapon that helps plunge the entire world into darkness by eliminating the Jedi. These two groups that are SO similar in so many ways but for vastly different reasons who are thrown together by forces beyond either of their control and learn to understand each other better than anyone else ever has and love and trust each other implicitly for it and that love and trust is then used to destroy them both. It's absolutely devastating and really gets me in those feels.
As far as romantic ships, I sort-of said my piece on the age thing earlier, but I honestly find that fussing about characters' ages in Star Wars is more ridiculous than it usually is. These characters are literally ALIENS and it's a universe where human characters who are twelve years old are allowed to hold office. I have my personal preferences in terms of clone/Jedi ships, but I am a very ship and let ship sort of person (yes, even with the ships I DESPISE), so I'm not going to make a big deal out of clone/Jedi ships. I also like clone/clone ships which tons of people find problematic for other reasons, so whatever.
I HAVE seen the superior/subordinate thing get addressed in clone/Jedi fics before. Sometimes it ends in the characters deciding to wait until after the war and when the clones are given rights and official citizenship status or something before they begin a romantic relationship, and sometimes it ends in the characters recognizing that a lot of the rules shouldn't really matter when they're at war and they could die literally any day and they deserve to find happiness and pleasure where they can find it so long as they work to ensure that this doesn't impact their respective responsibilities. Again though, this is a space fantasy and absolutely nobody on the writing staff for The Clone Wars was taking the structure and internal dynamics of this fantasy military particularly seriously, so I'm not sure why I or anyone else should have to if they don't want to.
So yeah, I love relationships between the clones and Jedi, it's probably my favorite dynamic in the whole franchise, regardless of whether it's platonic or romantic.

Fulcrum Trio HC
Besties who help each other work through their trauma, and their trauma has overlapping areas in some parts.
They share a ship, it's the first home they've had in awhile.
It's not uncommon for them to go on missions together. But when they go on missions and things start getting chaotic, only one of them manages to hold onto a brain cell while the other two become more feral. The one who holds the brain cell changes each time.
Cassian is treated as the baby brother and he says he hates it. He'll never admit how much he actually likes it. It took the longest time for him to admit it to himself.
This one was spoken about in comvo with some friends (hi you're probably reading it rn 💙) [ They have platonic cuddle sessions. They're all very touch starved and it starts out as an accident.
Kallus is an octopus cuddler when he manages to drink too much. At first, Kanan had been the one to get trapped, but he managed to slip away. Unfortunately, that means the nearest person would get trapped. Which was Cassian. He just accepted it. There was no way he was going to be able to wrestle out of this two meter man's arms and he wasn't upset about it. In fact, he was very smug about the fact that he cuddled Kallus before Ahsoka did.
Cassian got his payback on Kallus. Cassian cannot hold his liquor nearly as well as Kal and fell asleep laying across his lap. Kallus was not even tipsy, he refused to move. "No. It's illegal." Cassian rarely gets asleep as it is. He was NOT about to wake him. Ahsoka decided that she had enough and sat herself right next to Kallus, laying her head on his shoulder as she gently brushed through Cassa's hair.
After that, the three of them decided to just incorporate it into their routine. It wasn't uncommon for their friends or partners to find the three of them in a puddle of blankets and pillows together.
(Also, any of their partners just as to accept the fact that they're sharing their partner with the other fulcrum counter parts.)
The three of them are usually the reason why there's a weekly supply run made just for Caf.
They have crafts each of them learned when they were younger and they teach them to each other.
On coruscant, since the stars were never visible, especially so far down in the lower levels, stars were a treasured cultural thing. Star-themed nicknames were some of the highest praise or used to emphasize how cherished one was to another. Star maps and holo projectors were an expensive luxury item. Something that was always passed around the youth were paper stars. Kallus was taught how to make them before he even learned how to read or write. The children of the lower levels often sold or traded them for food or other supplies. Pennies for each one. Kallus had made hundreds of thousands of them. When he began to interact with Ahsoka and Cassian more, he picked it back up and would leave them in random nooks and cranies.
On Kenari, Cassian had learned how to braid threads into accessory pieces. Attachments to clothing for special events, bracelets, necklaces, headbands, sashes, even bags. It's something he does occasionally to keep his hands busy. Eventually, he had completed projects but didn't have anything he could do with them. So he gave them away. Commonly, he made braided bands for K2, Bee, and any droid that took a liking to Kallus. (Which kept him busy because "why are there so many droids that decide 'yes. You.' Do you just pick up every droid you see?"
Ahsoka was very young when she came to Coruscant. Master Plo Koon taught her not just about the Jedi Order and training, but little things too. Something that the two of them often did together started out as a way of training but became a shared hobby for them to do as they talked things over or meditated. Master Plo Koon had taught Ahsoka how to embroid and cross stitch with her mind. It was to have a master over precision and patience. It's a practice that Ahsoka never truly dropped. She greatly struggled with it as a youngling and a padawan, but as she got older, she got better at it.
When Ahsoka started teaching Cassian and Alexsandr, she struggled slightly because it was the first time she was doing it by hand rather than through the force, but she enjoyed learning a new way of the craft.
They'll spend hours debriefing over missions, making strategies, or just talking things out as they teach each other their crafts.
That's all i got atm. Will probably add more later.

Some rambling thoughts about my Sith Plo Koon au.
Plo: And I have taken another child to teach!
Sidious: You already have Force sensitive children like dozens.
Plo: But they have potential :) and they need care to become our great inquisitor :)
Sidious: (Is this a light side or the dark side I don't even know)
Plo: Commander, I have sensed little doubts in your mind these days.
Wolffe: Sir, please, it's not like what you think-
Plo: At ease, I'm not here to question your intentions. Not for now.
Plo: But please remind yourself... That you will have to believe I won't let anything to harm your brothers, if you have a doubt of that.
Wolffe: I believe that sir, because the last time that netborn Officer refused to treat Sinker's fatal wound, you fried his whole body with no hesitation.
Plo: Ah, yes. It was such a shame. I hope no one would do the same mistakes after I showed a great example with him.
Wolffe: Yes, yet you didn't kill him immediately.
Plo: I had to, there was a trooper who needed some treatment, right? I can't just let that great energy source die that easily.
Wolffe: *sudden shivering*
Sidious: So, you have fried that Officers just because they threatened your Clone troopers?
Plo: Yes, and I did what I needed.
Sidious: ...
Sidious: (Well, I might need to get read of him first because he will hunt me down if he knows that I am planning to throw away those Clones.)
Wolffe: But... Is it right thing...? The thing that Empire is doing...?
Plo: Why do you have doubt now, my Commander?
Wolffe: Rex said that I need to think myself... To think about the orders and...
Plo: You can't always make the right decisions, Wolffe. I have been through the same doubts and wrong decisions like you. And I learned that the darkness and cruelty will return every time I think I have required the greater good.
Plo: There's no eternal lights or unbreakable greatness. You just need to focus and believe on one thing that you really cares about, what you really values. That you will protect in this cruel world no matter the costs.
Plo: Wolffe, what do you really care about the most?
Wolffe: ...Brothers. My troopers who fought with us. Who marched away for us.
Plo: And I can provide what you need to protect your brothers. You should not question or doubt about me. You have to believe me for that.
Wolffe: ...Yes sir. I never doubted you for my brothers. And we Wolfpack will prepare for anything you need.
Plo: Good boy. :)
Sidious: (...And yes, I really need to take care of that Kel-Dor because he will end me for sure soon!)
Boost: Sir, these kids are meant to be inquisitor. Right?
Wolffe: Yes, that's why General brought them to Empire.
Sinker: Okay, and why are we playing with them right now?
Wolffe: General wanted us to get along with his new kids.
Comet: But... Is making kids happy and joyful really Sith thing?
Wolffe: I don't know. But he burned down the whole villages before taking those kids. So, you need to stop asking more questions, troopers.
Comet: *sudden shivering*

Desolation of Dorin || 104th Headcanons
Desolation of Dorin : [ Main Post ] <- <- <- <- <-
Sinker:
This would be one of the many few that he would hold his tongue when it comes to airing negative thoughts over daunting realities like he did in “Rising Malevolence”. But as Plo always encouraged them to be true to themselves, you’ll hear him end his ‘observations with’ “Well, I guess I’ll have to sneak some eggs in the ship without the General knowing — or Wolffe.”
100/10 he would but gets caught because Plo would be like “oh no no no no no, boy stahp."
He'd be the first to answer little Kel Dor children with so much positivity his brothers would tease him if he lost a screw somewhere in his head. Boost will shed tears for his vod.
Gets super attached to the kids and begrudgingly let's them dangle on his arms to play.
Boost:
Ya boy will come come through like sunshine. All smiles! Takes time to hand off relief supply with lingering hand squeezes, shoulder pats, head pats.
First to break and just hug a child.
Sneaks in extra rations even if they're from his own person/pocket share.
Keeps close to Sinker because he's either in disbelief that Sinker is being positive or just wants to make sure he doesn't relapse into a sarcastic downer of a twat that we all love very much ♥
Makes sure all his vods are still okay and would very much be willing to cover shifts/rounds if they get tired.
Is very tired, but is the "drummer in the band". His dedication and willingness to be this booth of bliss and hope is infectious.
Comet:
Keeps getting lost so he's walking around followed by very concerned children, teens, and adult Kel Dor citizens to point him in the right direction. He has boxes of treats and snacks and just hands them to everyone.
Doesn't give two shits if he already gave one to someone, gives more anyway.
Leads a train of laughing and amused followers because ya boy busts out singing or chanting, turning in random points to 'peek-a-book' the kids and they're just so entertained.
Trips at one point and gets toppled by all the babies.
Warthog:
Quietly carrying eggs from one place to another.
Teaches Dorin kids rock-paper-scissors.
Gets very much into it and is so close to wanting to gamble but he gets bonked by Wolffe.
Quietly picks up a child after another. Adding to his pile of Kel Dor kids on his shoulder like jenga.
Also gets bonked by Wolfe because endangerment of children is not how the 104th will get decommissioned.
Wolffe:
Wolffe's main priority is the very exhausted Plo Koon who should be resting but is instead with them handing out relief and offering comfort where he can. He knows Plo just came from a very heavy meeting with the Baran Do Sages and that he's not had a decent sleep since the news broke out.
He's very hesitant to do this but is very set on at least offering some respite for Plo. Doesn't want to fuck it up. Comms Ahsoka and recites the words over and over to himself like a broken record. He'd practice with intonations and syllables like it's so gd hard to say. And finally he does it ♥
This is the part where I lose it, okay?
Wolffe, who stands beside Plo handing relief, turns to a Kel Dor and just goes... "Uh... K.... Ko... Koh to Yah."
Plo just looses it. Doesn't even look at Wolfe but they know. They all know Plo's breaking. Proud breaking. Just crumbling because I like to hurt this old man because I love him so much, ok?
Ya boy panics and is unsure if he said it right. But the Kel Dor citizen he gave the relief to replied with the same words and all is okay. Makes all the boys start their greeting with 'Koh to Yah'. Didn't even have to instruct them, they know and just does it.
Plo Koon
— My sun, moon, and stars; love of my life, light of my darkest hour, the he of whom I would burn the galaxy for ♥ :
He'll pardon himself to meditate. The weight of of the galaxy, of Dorin, looms over his shoulders and seeing his boys little by little ease the load, you bet my favorite, overly dramatic Baran Do Sage is gonna need a moment ♥.
As he retreats to his designated rest area, he'll find all all the Wolves buckets upside down full of Kel Dor goodness. There'd be snacks that were big in Dorin (nostalgic ones), some trinkets like toys they'd think Plo might have played with; food native to Dorin that is a popular hit among Kel Dors, etc.
There'd also be a datapad for him to check specifically about the state and whereabouts of anyone related to him that the boys fussed over while Plo was with the Baran Do Sages.
Plo would find that there is a ration bar beside each of the respective wolves helmet. Each marked with their name in solidarity to their beloved General.
Plo, immensely touched, would run his talons over each item before closing the door to "meditate".

Did someone ask for another "Merrill watches star wars tumblethread" because I'm about to watch the Bounty Hunter arc, of 201, 202 and 203. with 217 as a little treat. You can find the last one: here
So the episode is called "Holocron Heist" it's part of a bounty hunter arc according to the watchlist I got, why is it starting with a battle on Felucia, and the Jedi needing to escape on gunships? how is this related to the heist?
I missed a lot of Plo koon content by skipping Malevolence, so I'm glad he's in this, he seems really cool design wise.
"Where's Ahsoka" "Following your teachings" "Is she winning?" he is so proud of her.
How is "not having to go to the battlefield" such a punishment?
I like Jocasta Nu, she seems nice, and like she brews good tea.
Cad bane "this task is impossible" Palpatine: "So you're not good enough?" "No, just pay me bitch."
Oooh is that alien a shape-shifter just like Zam Wessel, nice to see another one of those.
So she uses a hologram projector to fake the clothes, and can take on the shape of the target, clever.
I do like this heist premise, the tension between this cat and mouse game
"I'm the librarian now." life goals achieved
is Bane going to blow of Todo as a distraction? EVIL!
OOh okay, so now Bane will go after this Bolla Ropal, and his goal is finding those force sensitive children? not entire clear on the plan long term ,but good tension, nice plot. 202: Cargo of doom.
oh he managed to find Ropla during the intro narration, so... bit of a let down tbh.
Right, so they can't just tear through the Seperatist fleet, because one of them has the Jedi Master.
"You can't be serious." "I am Admiral, thank you for your opinion." Translation: fuck you
love how Admiral Yularen is just so done with all of this.
I get that the clone suits are pressurized, I get that the walkers are pressurized... but why are Anakin and Ahsoka just standing there with only a helmet?
AHSOKA IS JUST IN HER CROPTOP?!?! (okay, later scenes show it is a full outfit, just looks very similar in colour to her usual outfits when zoomed out enough. and probably pressurized... but is Anakin's?)
Honestly, this isn't that bad if space isn't like... a vacuum, just doesn't have oxygen. If it still has some level of air pressure, it explains the sounds in space. the drifting of space ships, and the way people can survive in space with just a helmet/breathing apparatus.
also. if they need a jedi to access the holocron, and Bane can make deals with some seperatists... why not ask Dooku? Granted, that may be the plan if the current one doesn't work out, but this seems like a weird risk to take.
I LOVE seeing some zero gravity combat!
Why did Ahsoka have to get herself captured, darling, you need to think things through better.
Okay, I get how Anakin had a plan to overwhelm bane and rescue Ahsoka... but why not do that BEFORE giving him the holocron.
Ah and now Ahsoka is giving Anakin the same lecture he gave her, symbolism, it's like poetry.
So that's clearly Bane who stole a Trooper's armour, right? how did he fit the breathing tubes inside.
next up, 203: Children of the force
Oh, it directly picks up after the last one? No timeskip, interesting choice?
WAIT he doesn't need the breathing tubes? he can manage without? Also his head is bigger than the helmet, makes it look really funny when his helmet gets knocked off.
wait, does Palpatine have a genuine ideological issue with the Jedi, or is he just power hungry, I always had the sense he just wanted to grab power and the Jedi were in the way.
THAT'S THE SAME SQUEKY TOY AS FROM THE RYLOTH EPISODES!
I'm fairly certain the way they want to use mind tricks would be considered an inhumane and extrajudicial process in any democratic society.
"could potentially destroy his mind." just no concern
it's just torture, but for the good guys instead.
Palpatine is really rude to Ahsoka, he is not being a very good PAL(patine)
More like Douchepatine
can anyone confirm for me: is Windu X Kenobi like... a ship? they have chemistry
Ahsoka is getting really valuable work experience as a babysitter, between this episode and the clone wars movie.
And now: 217 Bounty Hunters
We are bounting some hunters
The ejection seats being a protective bubble isntead of a parachute is a nice sci-fi touch. love those little fantasy moments in this show.
those little glass, mushroom houses, fantastic!
I love the design of those local villagers, they are friend shaped.
"We can't help them, because we need our military duties" Obi wan, sometimes you are an ass.
Oh is that Hondo? Think I skipped his Season 1 episodes, nice to see him finally!
"we don't even have weapons" *Twirls around a stick* Anaking, that is not how weapons work.
I also really love the design of these bounty hunters, they are so unique looking!
Hondo's warcry that it isn't profitable anymore, before running away is hillarious
wait did the leliana looking alien sniper die? nooooo!
But yeah, interesting episodes, was fun to watch... why do we have the urge to do more Star Wars games now?

I think a lot of people would assume that Wolffe is the type to go for dark chocolate, but in reality he goes after peanut butter and chocolate stuff. Like Reese’s peanut butter cups. Wolffe loves his Reese’s, and Plo Koon definitely got him those giant Reese cups on numerous occasions.
Edit: I could also see him going for something like a skor bar. I think he would like the toffee with the chocolate, and I also think he’d like how crunchy it is.
#commander wolffe#I’m bored and I can’t sleep#so im deciding what chocolate some characters like#anyway#by giant ones im referring to those reese cups that are like the size of your hand#im not sure how many of y’all have had those#but I got one as a gift once and my god#it was so good#tw food#plo koon likes to get treats for his children

Yo, how are you doing??? What if Plo Koon meet the Bad Batch and just went “these are my children now”
I am alive and still going to publish, sorry for being inactive for so long, college is kicking my ass.
Anyway, here it is, hope you like it, this ask I also placed it into my yandere clones au so I hope you don't mind.
So anyway this is a continuation
Previous / Next
Hunter crawled slowly through some vents over a locker room her remembered had some armor in it, if he was lucky he could nab one and use it to blend in, but just as he was about to move a tile to go down the room's door opened.
"I am telling you Comet, I can stay in my quarters if it helps keep you calm," The voice of the old Keldor made him recognizable immediately.
"No sir, right now I can't leave you alone, you may be in danger," COmet shot the option down as he took his helmet off.
It was Plo Koon, the bad batch had met him during one of their missions, he had been....nice but Hunter had done everything to prevent another meeting with the old Jedi, it wasn't so hard since the Keldor focused on the after-battles.
Hunter remembered how he had treated them, as if they were part of his men, who he already treated so well, almost like sons.
Flashback
"Hunter, my scanners detect that a lightning storm is approaching, it will be impossible for us to leave before it reaches us," Tech informed and Hunter couldn't help but sigh in disappointment.
They had been assigned this mission in order to test them with after-battle scenarios, and they had done everything perfect, hell, they were getting along with the other regs and he even liked the Jedi but Hunter couldn't help but feel a bit weird at how the old Jedi treated them, he was so kind and gentle with them, he had even gotten Crosshair to lower his guard.
"Then let's start preparing the camp," Hunter instructed and it didn't go unnoticed to him the way his brother's almost excited face.
They had finished cleaning up a day ago, so this would be a sort of break.
*At least I can sleep a little longer this time,* Hunter thought not at all against being able to sleep longer than usual.
"Oi, Hunter," Hunter turned to see Sinker approach him with a cheery attitude.
"Yeah?"
"Plo Koon says you all should join us in our camp," Sinker informed.
"Oh, thanks, but we can set camp by our ship, we wouldn't want to take space from you all," Hunter excused half-assedly.
"I recommend you do it," Sinker pressed and Hunter raised an eyebrow.
"Jedi can feel things and I have the feeling that the general knows that you may be in some sort of danger if you camp here," Sinker explained.
"Besides, Tech still owes me a rematch on sabacc," Sinker added looking behind Hunter, making Hunter not only aware of his brothers but also of their clear excitement, no matter how much they hid it, he could always tell.
"Alright, we'll take your offer then," Hunter agreed.
Timeskip
Hunter sat with a mug in his hands looking at everyone doing their own things, Wrecker was doing pushups with more and more ridiculous things on top of him with Boost cheering and adding more ridiculous things.
Tech was playing sabbac with Sinker and other regs and was promptly stripping them of any of their possessions round after round.
Crosshair surprisingly was telling stories and chatting with Wolffe and some other regs around the fire they had started a while ago.
Hunter had to admit, that he had never seen his brothers so at ease and happy with others, Hunter knew that they all would always have each other's backs, but he knew that they all needed to socialize with others.
"You hungry?" Another's voice brought Hunter out of his own thoughts as he looked up and saw a younger looking reg, Comet is he remembered right.
Hunter accepted the ration bar and Comet seemed to take this as an opportunity to seat beside him.
"This is really a good night, we don't usually get these sort of times," Comet spoke.
"I thought that you sweepers had it easy," Hunter muttered.
"Sweepers?" Comet asked.
"It's what my batch and I call the legions that focus on after battle's cleaning," Hunter explained.
"Oh, clever," Comet commended.
"But not really, even if it isn't the heat of the battle many, slavers and smugglers tend to visit these sort of places to try a loot whatever they can find, or we even have to deal with some remaining droids,"
"If anything I think it's the paper pushers back in coruscant who have it easy," Comet added and Hunter chuckled nodding in agreement.
"But don't let the general hear you, he doesn't like it when we say that sort of things,"
"Really?"
"Yeah, he doesn't want us to create unnecessary rifts or something,"
"Why does he care thought, genuine question?"
"Well, the general has always cared, about us, about them, I guess the Malevolence made him worry more than normal,"
"You were there?" Hunter asked, he knew what had happened, everyone did, but he didn't really know if there had been survivors or not.
"No, it was Sinker, Boost, and Commander Wolffe, I guess it hit General Koon to have had in the morning more than 9,000 clones under him to only have three left by the end of the day must have hit me hard,"
"Didn't know they did,"
"Care?" Comete asked and Hunter nodded.
"Well, you guys don't have any Jedi assigned to you, but they grow on you, I mean, look at your squad now," Comet pointed at how Plo Koon was chatting with Crosshair and the other regs he had been with normally, even Crosshair was relaxed.
Hunter remembered how the Jedi had also helped Tech before with one of his scanners when Tech never let anyone touch his machines, and how he had asked for them to camp with everyone else, just because he thought they may be in danger.
"The Jedi really are something....such a pity so many only want to use them," Comet murmured catching Hunter's attention.
"Don't they use you too?" Hunter asked.
"NO....sorry, I mean, no, the general has never used us, he fights with us, he sees us as...us I guess, not as blaster fodder,"
"Hell, I remember when he met Waxer, one of Cody's men, he learned about a little twi lek girl they had helped, it was almost impossible to separate those two..."
"The general...he and the Jedi, they all care and love so much, but they love an ungrateful galaxy, sometimes I wish he could see not everyone will return his kindness,"
"You really care about him don't you?" Hunter asked.
Comet simply hummed.
"OI COMET, COME HERE AND HELP US!!" Sinker yelled from the Sabbac table making Comet chuckle, he stood up ready to go but he stopped for a moment looking at Hunter.
"You know...I bet that if you wanted the General could get you and your squad majorly assigned to us," Comet offered.
"I guess the others could use the company," Hunter joked.
"I'll think about it though, thanks,"
After this Comet left and Hunter remained alone for the rest of the night as everyone went to their tents to sleep, Hunter was the first in the tent and the last awake.
No matter what he did he couldn't sleep, so after who knows how long he gave up and sat up, thinking that some air would help he went out of his tent.
The camp was dead silent except for some that stood guard over it, Hunter simply walked to the side of the tent of his batch to feel the cold air for a while.
What he didn't expect was for someone to notice him.
"Is everything alright Commander?" The old Kel Dor's voice surprised Hunter.
"General, I didn't mean to perturb you," Hunter immediately apologized.
"I'll, go back to my tent, I just wanted some fresh air,"
"No no, it's alright, I simply saw you and wanted to know if everything was alright," The Kel Dor assured.
"Oh, yeah, just having a hard time sleeping, sir,"
"Would you want a cup of tea, it can help," The Kel Dor offered and Hunter didn't want to bother the man so he simply nodded.
The Kel Dor began leading the way to the center of the camp where Hunter could see a kettle on the fire.
They approached it and the Kel Dor signaled for Hunter to set near as he began pouring the tea into a cup.
"Here, it shouldn't be too sweet but do tell me if it is," The Kel Dor offered the cup and then took another small container with a straw for himself.
"Thank you, sir," Hunter took a tentative sip of the tea and his eyes widened at the flavor he had never tasted, it was so...complex, so good, Hunter wanted to down it in one go, but he kept himself from doing so.
"I'm glad you liked it," The Kel Dor said pleased.
"It's....I....I've never tasted anything like it," Hunter admitted.
"I doubt the kaminoans gave you anything that actually tasted good, and so far my men have enjoyed the tea I've brewed,"
"But, isn't oxygen toxic to Kel Dors?" Hunter's asked.
"Yes, but I've always found the task of making tea very relaxing, and if someone I care for enjoys it, it only makes it better," The Kel Dor explained.
Hunter quieted down after this for a moment.
"Do you have many restless nights?" The Kel Dor asked and Hunter nodded.
"Do you have any theory on to why?"
"Well, I... sometimes things are just too much, and make it hard for me to sleep," Hunter admitted.
The Kel Dor remained silent in thought, Hunter couldn't help but feel anxious at what he would say, at the fact that he was trying to find a sort of solution for him...a stranger.
"I can't say I know exactly what you go through, but, I have had to deal with some sensory overload through my connection to the force," The Kel Dor began.
"Sometimes, it causes me to feel too much, to feel everything around me, when I go through this, I will usually perform any task that is easy and keeps me focused and I meditate to ease it,"
"For me making tea helps me feel grounded, and helps me until it passes, perhaps you could have a task of your own," The Kel Dor asked.
"Well, I'm not much for meditating, but sometimes when this happens I clean my arms, it usually helps," Hunter answered.
"You do not have to meditate, as long as it keeps you grounded but if you wish perhaps you would want to accompany in meditation," The Kel Dor offered.
Hunter was about to say no but he knew that if he went back he would remain awake all night, so he sighed and accepted.
Timeskip
Hunter opened his eyes suddenly as he sat up quickly, noticing he had waked up as the night guards switched with the morning guards the sun wasn't up yet and he couldn't have slept for much, but he felt the most rested he had since.....ever.
He looked around and saw the general kneeling as if still meditating.
"I see you've rested commander," The Kel Dor spoke gently and quietly.
Hunter could do nothing but blink, he was right, he hadn't even noticed when he fell asleep.
"I guess you were right about the meditating thing," Hunter tried to compose himself, hearing the Kel Dor chuckle made him know he had failed.
"I wasn't right, it was simply the right thing for you at the moment, but I am glad you rested,"
"Thanks," Hunter said as he got up.
"Have a good morning commander," The Kel Dor bid farewell as Hunter left for his batch's tent.
Timeskip
The camp was gone, everything packed and ready to go, the marauder was ready to take them back to Kamino, but the batch was bidding farewell to the friend they had made.
Comet had come to wish good luck to Hunter, which was pleasant, considering they had only talked a few times before.
"By the way, I meant it about what I told you last night, you lot are always welcome with us," Comet reminded him as he left to continue uploading his camp's stuff to the ships.
Hunter thought about it and how his brothers would love to see the legion again, maybe he could indeed ask the Jedi, he seemed very kind, and as he thought this Hunter had begun walking to where the Kel Dor was, but as he did he noticed a pair of shinies beside him talking cheerily with him.
As Hunter saw this he remembered how he was with all of the men, with his batch with him, and for the first time, he felt his heart ache.
Who was he fooling, even if he asked the General to have his batch mostly stationed it wasn't a real solution just a temporary one, even if he managed to have them mostly stationed with him, what about the rest of the time, Hunter would have to see his brothers have to say goodbye to friends who may die in the time they are gone.
They will have to go from being part of the legion to being alone, time and time again, Hunter couldn't do that, as much as he wanted not only could he do that to his brothers, but for some reason, he didn't want to see General Koon treating other like that, like him.
Hunter didn't like this feeling, he had no reason or right to feel like this over the General who he had only spent a night with, when his men, they had thought together, mourned together, he simply couldn't he felt disgusted.
So Hunter went to inform the General of the batch's departure, as he did so, Hunter felt as if the General could see through him, yet he said nothing about it.
"I hope we may be able to work together more often, I wish you and your brothers a safe travel and for you to be safe in your next missions," The Kel Dor bid his farewell alongside Wolffe.
"Thank you General," Hunter saluted before walking away, his hand balled into fists tightly so he wouldn't turn back.
End of flashback
Hunter closed his eyes riding himself off the memory, the past wouldn't help him now.
But he had to admit, would Hunter have agreed with all of this if he had asked the general to have the assigned to him?
Would he have helped in drugging and imprisoning the Kel Dor?
The man who treated them as his own since the start, would he have betrayed him like that?
But then again, Hunter now recognizes the way he felt back then with the possessiveness of the others, he also had it, was sit something they were born with?
Was it a virus, a sickness, a condition?
*I can't waste my time with this. I need to find a way out,* Hunter looked down again at the Kel Dor and how even in the state he was, he still worried and wanted what was best for his men.
The same way he had before, it had turned HUnter's stomach back then, he had never felt it and didn't want to start, so maybe that was why he avoided the wolf pack, after all, if you could, wouldn't you try to avoid the one thing that makes you feel a sickening jealousy.
Jealousy for having someone care for you, fight beside you, trust their life to you?
Hunter did, he wanted all of that, and he could have gotten it, but, not forever, not permanently, only "mostly", always in reach, able to feel the warmth of their light, yet never able to bloom under it.
Hunter was brought out of his thoughts when the sound of the door of the room opened and closed, seeing that Comet and the Kel Dor where gone, leaving the room to Hunter.
He finally moved the tile and jumped down and opened one of the crates where he found a new armor, they didn't stay plain white for long now, but it would do the trick for long enough.
*Let's get this going,* Hunter thought, leaving his previous thoughts and memory to be buried and forgotten in his mind.

Jedi Culture- and why I find the fandom vilification of them super uncomfortable
So TBOBF gave viewers an episode where Luke Skywalker returned to teach Grogu- complete with adorable moments like Grogu trying to sneak a frog into his mouth and Luke using the Force to help Grogu skip through the woods- and fans were really split. I just read an enormous post that used Luke’s choice to Grogu and concerns about attachments as a jumping point for saying that the Jedi were basically heartless, blaming them for the deaths of countless characters and the fall of the Jedi Order. They even went so far as to say that this moment was the turning point that basically doomed Kylo Ren/Ben Solo.
And I’m just whaaaaaaattttttt........
Granted, a lot of this divide in fandom and the near obsession people seem to have with the “evils” of the no attachment rule, stems from the absolutely disastrous sequels. The fact that they completely skipped over showing any of Luke’s Jedi Academy (aside from smouldering ruins) and made Luke himself behave incredibly OOC, just so they could do an ill-thought-out rehash of the original trilogy, makes it incredibly hard for viewers to have any kind of understanding for the Jedi Order.
Of course, if Disney hadn’t Scorched the Earth of the original Star Wars Extended Universe, none of this fandom arguing would exist because in the far more in-character Extended/Legends continuity, Luke just flat out gets rid of the No-Attachment Rule. I still hold out desperate hope that Disney will cave and turn the Star Wars Universe into a multiverse (like the MCU) in order to bring the Legends universe back into canon.
However, since we’re all still stuck in the confusing mess that is the Disney Star Wars verse, I’ll point out that people who seem to hate the Jedi really focus only on the most negative moments shown of the no-attachment rule and completely ignore all the positive elements of Jedi relationships. I’m not saying the Jedi Order was flawless- it definitely had flaws- but it’s flaws were similar to many real life cultures and religions. This is where the bulk of my discomfort stems from- people blaming the destruction of a culture they don’t really understand on the culture instead of the forces against them.
The Jedi are constantly seen being compassionate, loving and kind despite the No-Attachments rule. In AOTC Yoda gently teases Obi-Wan in front of his class of younglings to amuse the children while also helping Obi-Wan. In TCW Plo Koon is shown in a flashback playing with baby Ahsoka in front of her parents when he adopts her into the Jedi Order (this is Important because it highlights the reality of Jedi adopting children into their culture as opposed to the Imperial lies of them kidnapping children- the Jedi go to the families of Force sensitive children and offer to to take them in to help the children understand gifts their parents can’t help them with. The parents are given all the info they need and are allowed to make the choice without pressure.) In another episode of TCW, Obi-Wan risks his life to tame ferocious creatures trying to attack him and his men because he understands they’re innocent animals and don’t deserve to be killed if it can be avoided. And all of the Jedi are shown caring for each other, treating each other as friends and family.
No Attachment doesn’t mean No Love, it means finding balance between loving and letting free, loving but not being possessive. The Clone Wars were basically Palpatine’s way of manipulating and beating down the Jedi until they were forced to become more and more oppressed in order to protect their minds and the remains of their beliefs. It was a manipulation so perfectly done that even fans tend to blame the Jedi for their failings.
Now, back to Luke. While I truly hate what the sequels have done to him and his Jedi Order, I still hold out hope that the shows will eventually either de-canonize the sequels or make them an alternate universe. That said, his choice to Grogu and his mention of the no attachment rule actually makes a lot of sense. Luke knows Grogu is conflicted. Luke himself was never really given a choice- he had the pressure of rebuilding an almost entirely wiped out culture on his shoulders from the moment he first saw a lightsabre. He doesn’t want that for Grogu. In a way, the choice Luke presents to Grogu is as much about his own attachments as Grogu’s. He’s showing that he’s willing to let his first student go (a student that called out to him no less) if that’s what the student wants. And I know, I know, everybody wants Grogu to have both, but realistically, that’d be damn hard to pull off, especially with Grogu’s lifespan being so different from Luke and Din’s. Perhaps in The Mandolorian season 3 we’ll get that, but even if we don’t, Luke’s time with Grogu is clearly an over all positive experience for both of them.

Hi! I’ve found that a lot of this depends on how you want to handle things/how your group of people is putting these things out there. Like, I’m not going to reblog the posts I see in the tag that have like six notes saying “the Jedi told Anakin to repress his feelings and so it’s their fault he fell” (which is exhaustingly common in the tag but I know where my scroll button is), but if someone comes onto my posts, then I’m free to point out, no, here’s what canon actually says/does. So, a lot depends on the people you’re surrounded with--is bringing this up going to get you somewhere that you’re happy with? Then, by all means, I have some receipts for you! But if it’s just going to make you mad to argue with people who aren’t going to change their mind (or vice versa!), then it’s better to just let go usually. It depends on you and what you want! There are two ways to handle this (if you’re going to get into it--and, remember, you’re not obligated to spend your time on this!): 1. Ask them what scene from the movies or show specifically makes them believe the Jedi were shown to kidnap kids. Or ask them, why do Jedi like Yoda and Mace and Obi-Wan, classic “true faith” Jedi, show emotion all over the place if they’re supposed to repress them? How does that square with Obi-Wan telling Anakin that, say, romantic feelings are normal and of course they’re allowed in TCW?
2. Or point out that there’s no evidence that the Jedi kidnapped kids in the movies or TCW, but there is evidence that they don’t: - In The Phantom Menace, Qui-Gon can’t just take Anakin from Watto, he has to go through a whole huge entire scheme to get Watto to agree to give up Anakin, which shows the Jedi can’t/don’t just take kids. - In “Children of the Force”, Cad Bane poses as a Jedi to try to kidnap Wee Dunn and can’t just take the child, he has to come up with a whole plot to hypnotize her into agreeing to give the child over, which says that the Jedi get permission. - In “The Disappeared”, the Bardottens labeled the Jedi as kidnappers and the Jedi’s response? They stopped going there. The scene is deliberately framed as the Bardottens misunderstood them, but the Jedi respected their refusal and so they didn’t adopt Bardotten kids anymore. - They have a list of known Force-sensitives in the galaxy, why would they even need a list if they just took the kids? I have often found that reframing the Jedi Order adopting children makes a big difference for me in terms of arguments against them. Jedi don’t get a choice about being raised in this culture? Neither did Leia when she was adopted into Alderaanian culture, is that bad now, too? Children are raised in their culture, that’s just how raising children works. With the Jedi and the emotions thing, they have never said to repress your emotions, they instead say to control your emotions, because they are psychic space wizards with powers directly tied to their emotions. A Force-users’s interaction with the Force is based entirely on their own mindset and what they bring into it--if they use the Force in anger, they get blasted in the face with their own dark side feelings. We further see this in the way influential Jedi (like Council members or Jedi we know are generally good representations of what the Jedi are like) express emotion all over the place:
These are all Jedi who are on the Council, the Jedi who would most embody what they’re trying to achieve and yet, look? Emotion all over the place! A lot of the “the Jedi suppress emotion” is because Anakin goes overboard, coming from understandable places, but that he takes it too far. He murders children (the Tuskens and the Jedi) because he’s angry. Whatever happened to cause those feelings, however understandable or not they are, when they are tied directly to the murder of children, no, Anakin was not right, he took things too far. He lost control of himself. Further, Depa Billaba (Council member and Mace Windu’s former Padawan) directly says it in the Kanan comics:
”Those emotions are valuable and should not be suppressed, but you must learn to rule them, Padawan, lest they rule you.” Often, also, is the argument of “attachment”, like it’s treated as the same thing as “love”, when Star Wars as a narrative isn’t using it in that way, it’s directly tied to “possessive” and “selfish” forms of love, and George Lucas has said so directly and explicitly. “The Jedi are trained to let go. They’re trained from birth,” he continues, “They’re not supposed to form attachments. They can love people- in fact, they should love everybody. They should love their enemies; they should love the Sith. But they can’t form attachments. So what all these movies are about is: greed. Greed is a source of pain and suffering for everybody. And the ultimate state of greed is the desire to cheat death.” --George Lucas, The Making of Revenge of the Sith Love and attachment cannot be the same thing because “they should love everyone, but they can’t form attachements” would then be “they should love everyone, but they can’t love” and that doesn’t work. Some more posts to read, if you want: - Jedi and emotions - Attachment, greed, and the dark side - The Jedi co-exist with many other Force-users, they do not try to monopolize the Force - What the Jedi actually say/do about adoption in canon - Attachment is not the same thing as love - Big giant meta of what is canon/word of god for the Jedi People are, of course, allowed to hold whatever opinions they want, but I have found that canon paints a pretty positive portrayal of the Jedi Order and how a lot of accusations just don’t wash for me and are instead pretty directly contradicted by what’s actually in the movies and the TV shows and what George Lucas has said about his intentions for them. People aren’t obligated to take word of god commentary into account if they don’t want to, hell, they’re not even obligated to take canon into account if they don’t want to! But if we’re arguing about the actual narrative intentions, then this is what they actually say and do! AND I LOVE THEM SO MUCH, THEY ARE TRYING THEIR BEST IN A REALLY SHITTY GALAXY AND THEY LOVED SO DEEPLY AND THEIR MESSAGE IS ACTUALLY A PRETTY GOOD ONE--DON’T LET YOUR FEELINGS RULE YOU, BECAUSE THAT DOESN’T ACTUALLY LEAD TO GOOD PLACES. ACKNOWLEDGE YOUR FEELINGS (like the Jedi design their tests around, the children going to Ilum have to face their inner fears, acknowledge them and let them go, before they can move forward, the Jedi are actively seeking that out in the canon!) AND THEN WORK PAST THEM, THAT’S SO MUCH HEALTHIER FOR YOU. I mean, look at the characters who most embody the ways of the Jedi and were elected to their High Council and we spend time with them--Yoda, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Mace Windu, Plo Koon, Kit Fisto, Depa Billaba, Even Piell. These are all deeply caring, deeply good people who went through so much shit, shit that would have knocked many people out for the count, but still rose above it and kept their balance. That says a lot about who the Jedi are right there and what their most faithful people are like. AND I LOVE THEM SO MUCH I COULD BARF RAINBOWS ABOUT IT.

You know, I don't think I've ever asked anyone to ever write a "part 2" of anything but I'm invested in the Wolffe fic <3 I don't know, maybe something fluffy or whatever you want with the morning sickness or cravings and a swelling tummy (I imagine the reader to get pretty fat with two little ones in there!) and how Wolffe handles it all and/or takes care of you despite his duties? Would the reader be alone at her appointments? Would/could Wolffe take time off? cuteness?
I am also invested in this idea now. Thank you so much for these requests! There is already a third part in the works, whoops. Although this is sweet its also a little angsty, as much as Wolffe wants to be there for you, the nature of both your positions often keeps you apart.
Commander Wolffe x fem!reader Rating: G [PART ONE]
Not only were you blessed with the best clone commander in the GAR but you had been blessed with the best master and mentor in the Jedi order. As your training progressed you found your bond with him went beyond master and padawan. He was your friend and confidant, always by your side as you grew into the jedi knight you were today. There had been times you found yourself thinking of him of more a fatherly figure in your life than a teacher. Someone who not only schooled you on lightsaber techniques but who helped to guide you through life and was beaming with pride when you succeeded. It was only natural he was the next person you told after you sprung the news on Wolffe.
When it came to you, Plo was sharp, beyond intuitive. He was not at all surprised by your relationship with his battalion commander, but you could sense the pure, bright joy fill his force signature as you broke the news of your soon to be little ones.
“You understand the consequences Wolffe could face if your fraternization is discovered?”
Wolffe nods, face solemn. You had both known there was a risk in being together and Wolffe was the one with much more on the line. The senate and GAR saw the clones as disposable. He would be the one punished, not the jedi general. Though, you were sure the Order would find a way to punish you as well for developing a forbidden attachment.
“Then we must do everything to make sure that does not happen,” your Master concludes.
It hurt you dearly to lie to the Council, to deny Wolffe’s place in your life, but Plo Koon stood by your side, his taloned hand securely on your shoulder, never wavering as you spun your story. Jedi were not forbidden from sexual relations; it was the accompanying attachment that was not allowed. So, a one-night stand on shore leave in order to blow off steam in the midst of a never ending war was well within your rights. The Council could not punish you for that or your happy accident. A number of the masters actually looked pleased, probably thrilled at the strong possibility of two more force sensitive children to join the Order. It would be an inconvenience though for you to be out of service until after the babies were born. You would be reassigned to coordinating intelligence at the temple for as long as you could still be on your feet. With losses still high the Order was spread thinner and thinner, even pregnant they could not spare you.
It worried Wolffe more than you would have thought that you were working at all. He always treated you as an equal, more than capable of holding your own, on or off the battlefield, yet as time went on, and particularly when your bump started to come in, he began to fret over you like a mother hen. You knew he was protective, and that instinct had been dialed up to eleven with your condition. If he had his way you would be on bedrest for the next seven months, safe and tucked away. But that wasn’t practical. You both knew it. The war around you would not stop raging simply because you had two little bundles of life growing in you.
Your former Master did his best to keep Wolffe on Coruscant, understanding his need to be near you, but there was a limit to how long Wolffe could be kept from the battlefield. When he was away Wolffe and the rest of the pack (who were as equally invested in your little ones) would check in daily, always anxious for news. How big were they now? Did you have more pictures to send? Had you felt any kicking yet? You were content just to hear his voice on the other end of the line.
When the 104th was on planet, Wolffe was by your side every moment he could be. The two of you used every excuse in the book to explain it away. Plo assigned Wolffe as your protective escort every time you left the temple. His own way of helping get Wolffe to your doctors’ appointments without anyone catching on. There were times you though Plo had planned more of this out than you had.
Although Wolffe had to put up a shield of indifference to it all, to you, for the world to see, you could feel the joy, the pride, and the love he radiated. There was never a moment for you to doubt he wanted this. Wanted you. Even on the days you couldn’t keep any food down, when your ankles would swell and you needed help just to get out of bed, or when you broke down in tears, frustrated beyond belief that nothing you owned fit anymore. You could still feel his glowing signature as he gathered you up in his arms, cradling you and your future as close as he could, for as long as he could.
Without fail your time together would end and he would be called back to the front. Leaving you with the memory of his lips ghosting over the swell of your belly as he bid all three of you goodbye. Words whispered in mando’a, a secret language between him and the little ones you were not privy to. A promise he would be home soon.

In Another Life // Jedi! Reader x Wolffe
Uhhh, hi again. As per usual inspiration struck as I was watching tik Tok so I wrote this in one go on my bathroom floor lmao
basically: Reader is a Jedi trying to sort through some unjedi like thoughts about a certain Commander. Very dramatic, definitely needs to hold a damn hand. Jedi.exe stops working at the thought
warnings: mentions of gun/ GSW’s, blood, unrequited(?), two idiots with the combined emotional maturity of grapefruit
__________
Close your eyes... deep breath... don’t think about what could have been... open your eyes...
Upon reopening, your tired eyes examined the inky black void of space through the view port. There was a certain beauty in the simplicity of empty space that gave you some semblance of peace after such a hectic battle- the deep black velvet with pin pricks of pure starlight to interrupt the darkness, the idea of far off systems of planets teeming with mundane life as if other planets weren’t collapsing into war ravaged debris piles.
Once again you closed your eyes again to recenter yourself, another deep breath was lost to the usual dull chatter of the bridge as your lightsaber seemed to weigh down you hip more than usual.
You looked back to the stars, ignoring your own dim reflection in the transperisteel. This time you let your mind wander back to these unbothered planets, much like the one you were born on before being taken to the temple. You didn’t really remember your family- you often wondered if you had siblings, older or younger, were your parents kind, did you take after your mother or more after your father... what would you be doing if your were still with them? Perhaps you’d be in the workforce instead of a War General, maybe married to a someone who had grown up in the same town as you, would you have children?
An unwelcome flash of a well known face caused your mind to run with it. Letting your mind manifest a kind of mental holovid showing you a life you didn’t and could never have.
In this daydream you watched a version of yourself stumble through life, this version softer and more carefree without deadly weapons strapped to you or armor weighing down your light steps. Had this version of you ever even been wounded? Fought any battle? Surely this version of you hadn’t comforted dying soldiers and made tough battle calls, your eyes seemed too bright. Another figure appeared in your mind, even your physical form relaxed, Wolffe, the man you’d come to love despite your determination not to....
Even in this daydream where he was sans armor and unscarred, you’d always be able to pick him out of a crowd. He gave ‘softer-you’ a small smile before gingerly kissing their forehead. They/you relaxed into the gesture even with so many people bustling around- clearly you never had to worry about the consequences of your attachments. Normal people didn’t have to, being in love was a natural as the rivers of Naboo.
The image changed, their was a ring on your finger as your hands cupped Wolffe’s face for a sweet kiss. People who almost looked like you- family you supposed- clapped and cheered as Wolffe escorted you down the aisle. A wedding, normal people get married.
Another image, this time of a large hand rested against a bulbous stomach- your round stomach. Wolffe was smiling proudly before he kissed the top of your head. Normal people have kids.
You smiled softly at the cookie-cutter life you had come up with in a matter of minutes- an entire life planned out with a man you’d never dare tell your feelings to much less act on them. A true relationship, friends, marriage, houses, kids, jobs- no code or regulations, blaster fire or duels... Normalcy.
"What do you see out there, General?" A sudden voice shocked you out of your reverie. You jumped, startled, not used to people being able to sneak up on you. Suddenly your cheeks were red (a new phenomenon since you had met the commander of the 104th) as your eyes met one amber eye and one cybernetic eye- both trying to hide the amusement at your reaction.
"Wolffe, I thought I told you to call me (Y/N)." You tried to keep your tone even as your forced yourself to turn your gaze back to the view port. Allowing him to call you by your name was as far as your were willing to involve him in your forbidden delusions of romance.
"Sorry, si- (Y/N), I...didn’t mean to startle you." He apologized, his tone almost questioning. He truly hadn’t meant to, usually he couldn’t even if he wanted to- typically you could feel his force signature from across the cruiser. "Are you alright?"
"Just too tangled up in my thoughts." You mused, already mentally shredding the daydream as if that would also purge the relentless fluttering in your stomach, "Besides, I should be asking you that. I thought you were in the medbay being treated for a blaster wound."
That was another truth, you were under the impression that Wolffe was injured and probably arguing with whatever poor medic was ordering bedrest. And while the commander’s injury was probably the root source of your silent identity crisis, that was why you were so comfortable creating fantasies in the open space of the bridge- most of the other soldier’s actively avoided any Jedi when they had that vague, aloof face on (for fear of existential riddles and other ‘mystical drivel’ Jedi were known to hand out). Wolffe, however, never seemed to mind approaching you- even if all you had to offer was cheap wit and Jedi proverbs. If you had known he’d won the argument with the medic, you would have gone off to "mediate" in your quarters.
You allowed yourself to give him a once over, noting the bandages peeking out from under his deck officer’s uniform (you knew how much he hated that uniform, so you figured the medic confiscated his armor until he was cleared for duty). Wolffe shrugged, stiffly rotating his left shoulder as if to show you he was fine, "I’ve had worse."
You couldn’t help the half scoff, half chuckle that escaped you before you steadied your gaze back on the stars. You had seen him with worse- in the middle of battle with shrapnel wounds but still clawing his way to victory, stealthily mowing threw droids with a concussion during a rescue mission, blood dripping out a half cauterized lightsaber wound to his eye after you and Plo Koon forced Asajj off of him and he still managed to push through it to yell orders into his comms unit. Yes, of course, you’d seen him with worse, but that didn’t erase the worry you felt when you were informed that he’d been shot in the middle of that day’s battle. It didn’t erase the pain you felt in the force through your connection with him, nor did it erase the feeling of rage and vengeance that you had to push out of your mind for the rest of the fight.
Instead of voicing any of those thoughts, you simply hummed in acknowledgment, contenting yourself with being near him. Even unaware of your affection, his mere presence was calming. As usual, the Commander didn’t mind your silence, giving you the same once over your gave him before mirroring your position. He stood comfortably by your side, eyes searching for whatever you were staring at as he informed you, "I was told that General Plo Koon has been cleared for active duty again, effective as soon as we arrive back to Coruscant."
You nodded calmly, you had been told this too. Your time with the 104th as their interim general was coming to a close. Three months hadn’t seemed like that long until the report had put it in perspective for you- and yet three months was all it took for you to break a lifetime of teaching on the dangers of attachments. Probably for the best that you wouldn’t be around Wolffe on the daily, you could rededicate yourself to the Jedi lifestyle (even if now you realized you had never been quite adjusted to it anyway).
"I’m sure the Wolffe pack will be happy to have him back." Was all you said on the matter. Wolffe nodded before sparing you another glance.
"They will, but they’ll miss you too." He told you. You met his gaze and almost flinched at the amount of sincerity you found there. When he said they, you could only wonder... hope that he also meant he would miss you. The two of you held the stare for longer than you should have allowed with all of the other deck officer’s mulling about- you were sure someone was probably watching and wondering what was going on between the two of you (the answer was nothing, for better or for worse, but the last thing you needed was rumors floating about). As if Wolffe was thinking along the same lines, he cleared his throat before adding on, "They like having you around; they say your not like other Jedi."
‘Other Jedi’ (and you had a few in mind) would have taken offense to that, probably reprimanded the Commander for addressing them so casually followed by a scolding about how it doesn’t matter if the men like or don’t like having them around.
You just breathed a quiet laugh, thinking to yourself, "So they think so too."
Another silence fell over the pair of you, as you both pretended not to sneak peripheral glances at each other. No matter how hard you tried, you couldn’t keep those daydreams from filling your head as you stood there. Instead of the viewport, you lowered you gaze to the floor hoping to appear as if your were deep in thought. This kept you from looking at Wolffe’s face, which was probably for the best, but now in our peripheral your eyes landed on his hand. It was relaxed by his side, long fingers idly grazing the seam of his trousers- usually, in his armor, he’d be wearing gloves but in this uniform his copper skin stood out against the gray, dim metal landscape of the bridge. In another life, you’d easily take his hand, see how it felt in yours- was his skin soft or calloused, would your fingers interlock or would your hands press together, would his hands be warm, would he seek out your touch as well? But in this life, you tore your gaze away from his hand- grateful for the long sleeves of your cloak the his your hands as they clenched into fists to ground yourself to this reality.
Before you could completely shove the idea out of your head, an invitation spilled out of your lips, "I’m going to the mess, if you’d like to join. That is, if you haven’t already eaten?"
Wolffe seemed pleasantly surprised at the offer- one you hadn’t made in a week or so after your effort to avoid him when possible (not that he knew that was the reason), "Lead the way, General."
Despite his words, Wolffe, as he always did, kept easy stride beside you. Whereas any other trooper or any Jedi that was younger than you would fall behind you, and any Jedi that outranked you would walk in front of you- he was always directly beside you. A simple gesture, though it was, seemed like a monument- and it was never something he or you asked or talked about. He just fell instep with you because it felt right for him to be there. It was nice to have someone to walk side by side through life with, even for a short time. Sometimes, you’d find yourself instinctively looking up for him even when he wasn’t around- and being sad when you didn’t find him.
"Uh, General?" You vaguely heard as you continued to chew on your lip, not even considering someone was calling to you until it was followed up with a slightly more forceful, "(Y/N)!"
You snapped out of your thoughts immediately at the sound of your name, looking instinctively to your side for Wolffe, but he wasn’t there. Your head swiveled in confusion only to find him several paces back, staring after you. Absentmindedly, you wondered why he stopped as you halted yourself waiting for him to catch up. He didn’t move, instead gesturing to the door he stopped in front of, "... The mess? Isn’t that where we were going?"
Instantly, that pesky flush crept back to your cheeks. You were so caught up in your thoughts about Wolffe the you had not only left him behind, but also forgot what you were doing. Shuffling back to him, you tried to get your voice steady, "Right, right, yes, apologies."
Wolffe watched you carefully as you avoided his gaze, carding the doors open. If you didn’t know him, you wouldn’t have heard the concern in his voice when he asked, "Are you sure you’re alright, gen- (Y/N)?"
You gave him a soft smile and a nod in an attempt to convince him, but he simply raised an eyebrow in return- clearly not swayed by the meager display. Any other day you would have argued with him, assuring him you were ok, but now you didn’t trust your voice not to raise several octaves.
And besides, you most definitely were not alright. Your time with the 104th was coming to a close, and you were trying to convince you slowly breaking heart that it was a good thing. ____
perhaps a pt 2?

Clonetober #21 Clones and Their Jedi(s) 10/10
This is the last story of Clonetober #21 Clones and Their Jedi(s). The reason I did a lot of Clones and Jedi(s) is because I had a hard time choosing 1 Clones and Their Jedi(s). This one is going to be a short story so I can finish ALL my SUPER LATE Clonetober Stories and will be able to do Clone Appreciation Week. In this Story, I will be talking about CC-3636 aka Commander Wolffe, Boost, Sinker, and Comet and their “FATHER FIGURE” Jedi Master Plo Koon and how he calls those 4 Clones his “SONS”.
Plo Koon is one of the best Jedi that EVERY CLONE would want to have because he doesn't think that the Clones are just Clones. He treats them like they are his OWN Children just like Ahsoka is like a DAUGHTER to him. The Clones REALLY APPRECIATE that he thinks that they are more than Clones made to fight wars. Commander Wolffe, Boost, Sinker, and Comet would call him DAD because cares about them and would do ANYTHING to make sure they are safe and happy. Since it’s December now, I’m going to tell you what Wolffe, Boost, Sinker, and Comet give a gift to Plo Koon for Christmas. I will do a role play in this story.
Boost: HEY GUYS!
Woffle, Sinker, and Comet: WHAT?!
Boost: Christmas is almost here! We need to think of something to give FATHER…I mean….
Wolffe: You mean Master Plo Koon.
Boost: (nods head) Yes.
Sinker: Boost. You know that Plo Koon IS OUR Adopted Father. EVERYONE knows that.
Comet: YEP! I’ve called him DAD before in front of the OTHER Clone Brothers and they weren’t shocked that I called Plo Koon DAD because they ALSO think that Plo Koon is ALSO their DAD. Plus, they think that he should be THEIR Jedi Master than SKY GUY (aka Skywalker).
They all laughed when Comet said that. After they calmed down from laughing, they started to get some IDEAS on what they should give to their “DAD”. Each of them had something that they thought would be a great gift for their Dad for Christmas.
Boost: What about a lightsaber holder?
Sinker: I don’t think so. He’s not like Obi Wan who drops his lightsaber just to have Cody pick it back up.
Boost: You're right.
Sinker: What about we give him a hat, scarf, and gloves?
Comet: I don’t think so.
Sinker: Why not?
Comet: Because 1 it would be hard for him to wear a hat on his head. 2. The gloves would be hard to put on and take off with his Kel Dor finger nail. 3. Do you know how to knit?
Sinker: (shakes) No.
Boost: OK. What do you think would be a great gift for Dad?
Comet: I’m thinking that we should give him a mug.
Boost: OH YEAH. That would be a great gift except HE DOESN’T REALLY TAKE OFF HIS MASK!
Sinker: YEAH! It would be the same thing as if we gave him A HAT, SCARF, AND GLOVES!
All 3 of them were arguing. Wolffe yelled at them and told them that he had a better GIFT.
Wolffe: HEY GUYS! I already got a gift that we can give him!
Boost, Sinker, and Comet: WHAT?!
Boost: Why didn’t you tell us that you ALREADY HAVE A GIFT FOR DAD?!
Sinker: YEAH! What are you giving Dad?
Comet: Come on, tell us!
Wolffe: OK. We are going to have OUR picture so he can always have it whenever he is at the Jedi Temple.
Sinker: How is that going to work? We can’t give him a Picture Frame of us. He wouldn’t be able to carry it on Missions.
Boost and Comet: YEAH!
Wolffe: That’s why we are also giving him a Holowatch so he can press it to see our Picture whenever he is away.
Everyone thought that was a great IDEA and went to the Photoshoot Place to get their picture taken. After they got it done, they had it scan into the Holowatch and put the other picture in a picture frame. When their Dad aka “Plo Koon opened it on Christmas, he started to cry with joy as he hugged his SONS and told him thank you. Plo Koon also gave them gifts. He had Cody and Obi Wan make scarfs for each of his SONS and for him too. They all had a wonderful Christmas.
Thank you for reading my story. Please let me know how you liked it. Hope you enjoyed it. Also, PLEASE message me if you want me to tag you in my stories.

Shiny shiny Koon!!
(Wolffe: what, our shiney? Get off you-)
I love the headcanon that Koon family being one of the most wealthy and influential families due to their strong Force ability.
And Koon family cares for their family members who are in Jedi, despite the fact Jedi must not have attachment, and delivering them many treats of clothes or anything. And Plo don't appreciate with too many treats because he isn't supposed to have too much belongings, but doesn't deny them because younglings love treats and Plo loves kids. And after the clone wars started, Plo gives his troopers a treats too.
Wait where was I and when Papa Koon keeps delivering treats to Plo, despite he knows his son is embarrassed about being spoiled by family while he is Jedi, because why not. And after knowing Plo actually spoiling his children and troopers with treats... Koon family sent more treats. And when Plo asks why, they answer with 'you have so many clan members :)' and Plo be like 'Jedi must not have attachment' and 'They are not my kids...' with embarrassment.
And after that word Plo turns his head just to see his Wolfpack passing by, with ears open, and heartbroken eyes in their face, hurrying to their barrack to weep.
And after that day Plo never could complain about the treat delivery.
@saengak @plokoonsdisapprovingeyebrows @veny-many @exosorcery
So the world building continues and the Kel Dor lore expands! Papa Koon is materializing shamelessly and found this formal attire for Kel Dors.
So @plokoonsdisapprovingeyebrows @saengak are go for Blue for Clan Koon aka House of Koon. Black is staple.

Wolffe sat in the back of the cab, holding a small bundle of blankets close to his chest. Tears that had once poured down his face had long since dried, leaving stained streaks on his cheeks. Wolffe’s eyes were still puffy and the tip of his nose was pink. Wolffe was in a daze, lost in his own thoughts as he stared out the window next to him, hardly able to focus on the speeders rushing past him. The lights of the other speeders blurred at the speed.
‘Why couldn't you have stayed?’ Wolffe thought. ‘How can you expect me to do this? I don’t know what I’m doing.’
Wolffe wanted to cry again, but he had no tears left. He was at a complete and utter loss. He hadn’t felt this broken since the Separatists killed the majority of his original battalion. His vod. Leaving only himself, Boost, and Sinker.
He was pulled away from his thoughts by soft cooing coming from the bundle in his arms. Wolffe looked down at the bundle, seeing the face of the small baby it held. He smiled softly at the baby, who was looking up at him with big golden-brown eyes. His baby. His daughter. Wolffe slowly lifts his hand and lightly boops her nose, drawing out a little giggle from the baby. Wolffe leans down and presses a small kiss to her forehead. As he pulled back, Wolffe saw a big smile on his daughter’s face.
“Alright, buddy, we’re here.” the driver said, as the cab slowed to a stop.
Wolffe passed him credits and carefully exited the cab. He watched as it sped away. He sighed and started walking back towards the barracks, trying to figure out what to do with his daughter. He wasn’t just going to abandon her.
‘This wasn’t part of the plan. Sera wasn’t supposed to-’ Wolffe thought.
He sighed again. He needed a new plan. Who could he go to for help? Wolffe’s eyes widened in realization.
“(Y/N),” Wolffe said out loud, looking at his baby, who only blink at him in response. “She’ll help us, ad’ika. I know she will.”
You were Wolffe’s best friend, but it wasn’t always that way. You two met when you arrived to the 104th as a civilian medic. You two instantly disagreed on everything. Wolffe refused to believe you actually cared for the clones. That is until he got hurt. Ventress attacked him with her lightsabers, resulting in Wolffe losing his right eye. You were the one who treated him, took care of him. After that, Wolffe saw you differently. He actually talked to you. Not because he had to, but because he wanted to. And one thing led to another.
You were the only one who knew about the baby. Though you both suspected Plo Koon knew and he just didn’t mention it. Though neither of you knew for sure. That’s why Wolffe instantly thought of you. Not that he didn’t trust his vod. It’s the fact that they wouldn’t know what to do any more than he did. Since you were a civvie doctor, however, he figured you were his best bet.
He quickly made his way to your barracks. He’d apologize later for how late it was. He checked the chrono on the wall: 0300 hours. He sighed and pounded on your door. He heard grumbling on the other side. The door opened and revealed an extremely grumpy you.
“Do you have any idea what time it-,” You paused, realizing who was at your door. “Wolffe. What’s wro-.”
You stopped when you saw the bundle of blankets in his arms. Your eyes doubled in size. You instantly looked up at Wolffe’s face, seeing nothing but anxiety, fear, and sadness.
“Come in.” You said, moving out of the doorway for Wolffe to make his way into the room.
You closed the door behind him. As you turn back around, you see Wolffe standing awkwardly in the middle of your barracks. You could tell he was trying to think of what to say. You’d never seen Wolffe at such an utter loss for words. It hurt you to see him this way.
“Wolffe?” you asked, drawing his attention. “What happened?”
He sighed, still clutching the baby.
“She left. Sera left. She kriffing ran away!” He yelled.
The baby began wailing. Wolffe winced and tried rocking her, but she wouldn’t stop crying. You stepped forward and looked at Wolffe. Wolffe nodded and reluctantly handed you the baby he hadn’t let go of since he left the hospital. As soon as the girl was in your arms, she instantly calmed down with the help of your gentle rocking and soothing shushes. Wolffe let out a sigh of relief.
“I’m not even gonna ask how you did that.”
“What do you mean she ran away, Wolffe?”
“I just… I just went to go get caf.”
“She’s beautiful, Sera,” Wolffe said in awe as he stared at his sleeping daughter.
“Yeah.”
“Have you thought of a name yet?” Wolffe asked.
“No.”
“Um, al-alright. Hey, I’m-I’m gonna go get some caf real quick. I’ll be right back, okay?”
Sera didn’t respond and Wolffe decided just to take it as a yes. As he made his way to the mess, all he could think about was the precious baby girl in her mother’s arms. From the moment he saw that little girl, he knew he’d protect her with his life. He’d do anything for her. She was his world. And if doing anything for her meant he’d have to live the rest of his short life with Sera, then he would. He’d do it in a heartbeat. As much as he’d hate to do so.
Wolffe got his caf and made his way back to the hospital room. Once he got there his brows furrowed in confusion. The baby was there, but Sera wasn’t. In her place on the bed was a note.
‘Wolffe,
I’m not going to do this, and trust me I’m not sorry about it. I can’t raise a baby with something like you. A clone, not even a real person. Just an object owned by the Republic. Something for me to use for my own pleasure. Something to die alone and forgotten on some battlefield. And then I got pregnant with your spawn. A punishment I didn’t deserve. I’m not going to sit around and raise your baby, if you can even call that thing a baby at all, while you go running around the galaxy, leaving me to do everything. But I’m not going to do that. We both know we don’t love each other, and I certainly don’t love that thing you put inside me. And I know you were going to leave me. That is until you found out I was pregnant with your whatever it is. Don’t even bother trying to find me. I’ll be long gone, starting a life with a person, a human, a real man. Not some freak laboratory experiment like you. Oh, and name the little monster whatever you want, I don’t care.
Sera’
Wolffe crumpled the note in pure anger. But then tears started to fall, but not for Sera. She was right he didn’t love her, and he was going to leave her until he found out she was pregnant. No. He cried because of his daughter and how Sera called her a ‘thing’. And be really couldn’t care less about what Sera thought of him, because he already knew it was true. He was just a clone. Expendable. Property of the Republic. A weapon, created to destroy and die. But that beautiful baby girl was NOT a thing. NOT a monster. She was a person. One who deserved the world.
‘It’s my fault,’ Wolffe thought. ‘If she hadn’t been my baby, she would still have a mother. She could have the life she deserved. Maybe I should give her her best shot and give her to a couple who can take care of her and give her a normal life.’
He dropped the note, letting it fall to the ground, and made his way other to the small bassinet that held his world. His heart. Tears still pour down his cheeks. He looked at the small girl. He gently picked her up, and gently held her in his arms, making sure to support her head just like the nurse had instructed him to do. His heart melted as she slowly opened her eyes to look up at him. They were golden-brown, the same as his. He knew then and there, that he’d never give up his daughter. He would fight until his last breath to keep her.
“Wolffe, I am so sorry.” You paused looking down at the now sleeping baby. “I can’t believe Sera said all those horrible things about you and the baby.”
“Yeah, Sera shouldn’t have kriffing said banthashit about my daughter.”
“She shouldn’t have said that banthashit about you either, Wolffe.”
“It’s the truth, (Y/N).”
“Gods, Wolffe, no it’s not. You’re a man, not an object. You’re a person. You’re not something she can use. You’re a human being with feelings and emotions. I wished you’d understand that.”
Wolffe didn’t meet your gaze as you both stayed quiet for a few moments. Wolffe broke the silence first.
“I don’t know what I’m going to do, (Y/N). I want to keep her. I have to keep her, but I don’t know how I’m going to do it.”
You hummed at that. Thinking of how you could help Wolffe. You rolled your eyes.
‘Damn Republic and your stupid prejudice and you unfair rules towards the clones.’ You thought.
If clones were allowed to have children this would be a lot easier to deal with. Wolffe could get decommissioned if this got out. You knew his vod would protect both Wolffe and their new niece. And General Plo certainly wouldn’t let anything happen to them either.
“I’ll help you, Wolffe.”
He smiled at me.
“I figured you would, but I just don’t know how to do this. How do I even be a father? How am I gonna watch my daughter while I’m planetside, trying to keep myself, the General, and my vod alive?”
You think for a moment, then smile. You still hold the baby in your arms.
“Well, I don’t know what to tell you other than you’ll figure out how to be a father. That’s what everyone has to do. As far as watching the baby… I can watch her.”
Wolffe’s brows shoot up and his jaw drops.
“No, I can’t ask you to do that.”
“You’re not asking, I offered and I’d be glad to do it. Look, I’m not a field medic, meaning I’m almost never planetside. Meaning your daughter will be safe with me away from all the shooting and explosions.”
Wolffe sighed, seeing no other option that didn’t involve giving up his daughter. He nodded reluctantly in agreement.
“What do we do now?” Wolffe asked.
“Well, for right now, you need to sleep.”
Wolffe went to protest.
“No, Wolffe I’m guessing you haven’t slept in hours because of the baby being born. I’ll stay up and watch her. We’ll figure out what to do tomorrow. I already have some ideas I need to think more about.”
Wolffe nodded and you gestured to your cot. Wolffe plopped down on it and closed his eyes.
“Wolffe?”
He hummed in response.
“What’s her name?”
Wolffe opened his eyes and looked at the bundle in your arms. He thought for a second before smiling at the baby.
“Rose.” He whispered so softly you almost couldn’t hear him. “My little rose petal.”

The Wolf Pack
Chapter 2
Master Plo's ship was not the first I'd seen, the port at Mos Eisley was full of them; but it was the first ship I boarded that I could remember. Jedi master Plo Koon had been returning from a peacekeeping mission in the outer rim, and had stopped in Tatooine for fuel. It was a coincidence that he heard the Meilooron vendor talking about me. When I told him this, He said it had been the will of the Force. An energy field he had said. Then what had the Force deemed special about me? I asked him this.
"Tell me, Child. What would the tusken say are your best qualities?" He asked in return.
I thought about it for a second.
"Well, I can always tell when someone is following us, or how far a sandstorm is from our position. A'Koba once said I have very good instincts, but I do believe it comes from growing up in the desert." I answered as we walked up the ship's ramp.
"Kriari, the tusken have lived in the dune Sea for eons, if one tells you you have good instincts it is not a hollow complement. And neither is it entirely true." Said master Plo as he took the Pilot's seat and started pushing buttons and turning switches.
This puzzled me.
"How so, Master?" I asked as I took a seat on the copilot's place, still admitting the interior of the beautiful ship. It was much bigger than I'd imagined.
"You are a force sensitive, Child. Your midichlorian count is higher than the average life form, and as such, you have a deeper connection to the Force." he answered absentmindedly, like it was simply a fact of life. "When properly honed, your abilities can allow you to become a Jedi Master and help keep the balance of the universe."
The engine hummed to life as Master Plo pushed one final lever and started the takeoff sequence. I watched it all in awe and with unwavering attention. One day I would be able to pilot a spaceship, one day. Slowly, Mos Eisley started shrinking beneath us, and we approached the sky with every second that passed. The sky, the final frontier, that unreachable place where ships disappeared to, sometimes never to be seen again. The clouds parted before us, light blue turned to navy and then to black, and finally, Tatooine was a terracotta sphere behind us and the absolute emptiness of space was the only thing separating us from both setting suns.
"It's so odd to be so close to them." I muttered.
"Them, Child?"
"The stars, Master. We use them as a reference to navigate the Dune Sea. They are much prettier up close."
Master Plo Chuckled.
We are still very far from them, Kriari. Up close, a collapsing star can be quite daunting, not to mention deadly."
"But are they pretty, Master?" I insisted.
"In their own colossal, terrifying way, Child, yes. They are quite the sight."
The navigation droid that had been standing by the corner plugged in to its station and set the coordinates for our destination. Master Plo looked at me one more time before jumping to hyperspace. I don't remember if he said anything, I was too busy watching the galaxy fly past me.
…
The journey would be long, he told me. We should get started on some training exercise so I don't get cabin fever. And that is how I ended up cross legged on the floor staring at a rock. Master Plo sat by the table, writing his report for the council, he'd said. My mission was to make the rock move using the force. So far, all I'd been getting was eye strain.
"Staring at the rock won't make it move, Child, use the force." Said master Plo, never looking up from his working station.
I sighed in frustration. I would not let my journey end here, it was only beginning. I took a deep breath and held it for a few seconds before exhaling it all. I closed my eyes. The force was an energy field in all living things, that bound the universe together. So, technically, the force was inside me too. I didn't have to look at the rock to get it to move, I had to look to myself. Figuring out how the Force worked with my body. It had always been there, so it wouldn't be easy to find, but I had to try. Meditation was not a foreign concept to the Tusken, it took a lot of patience and confidence to wait out a sandstorm. It took a lot of determination and calm to find your way when lost in the Dune Sea. The Sand People might have been ruthless, but they also were a very spiritual people. The desert of Tatooine might be an inhospitable place for some species, but there was a delicate balance to its ecosystems and the Tusken tried their best not to upset it.
Keeping this in mind I started to regulate my breathing, making it longer, deeper. Connecting with my body, with my surroundings, with the Force. There was a sense of total awareness in the stillness of my mind, a certainty of things, of presences, of movement. There was the ship, the droid, Master Plo, the rock. And what if the rock moved? A little to the left at first, slowly, so as not to overdo it. Then, It would move to the right, a little faster, decidedly, with more purpose. And then it would be lifted in the air, level with my head and floating steadily as if held by an invisible hand.
I opened my eyes.
And smiled.
"Good job, Kriari." He said beside me. I dared not look away afraid the rock might fall. "Your focus is strong and steady. Is meditation a part of tusken tradition?"
I shook my head.
"No, Master. But it is common practice to meditate when waiting out a storm or when one is lost. Keeps us from panicking."
"I see. Now try that again with something bigger. It will only be more difficult from here on out."
He said as I let the rock down as gently as I could and took a pair of binoculars from my pack.
Then, I got started.
…
The first time I saw Coruscant I was six years old. The entire planet was like a miniature galaxy of blinking lights against a dark background. In the light of gay, the metallic and glass surfaces reflected the light like water in a pond and ships and speeders alike were like a shoal navigating the currents. It was beautiful, and crowded and busy, and nothing like I'd ever seen before.
The Jedi Temple was, in my childish eyes, the most beautiful structure of them all. The eternal flights of stairs, the massive pillars that flanked the entrance, the numerous structures that combined to form a pyramid-like building. The sun was setting on the city, on the planet, and the orange reflection of the sun rays bounced from one structure to the other. Everything about the temple was beautiful in it's own simple way, it was big, but it was elegant and the shades of white, ivory and tan made it all feel like it was indeed a spiritual place. A place of knowledge and of wisdom, and most of all, a place of calm and strength, and balance.
The guards at the landing platform stood tall and proud at the entrance, and they both acknowledged Master Plo with a nod and nothing more. I followed suit. They did not look at me twice, so I thought I can't have been the first child they'd seen through the gates, nor would I be the last.
"Do not fall behind, Child. We need to report to the council." Said Master Plo when he felt me get distracted.
I picked up the pace so as not to get reprimanded again. If there was something you learned when living with the Tusken was not to make anyone repeat themselves. Ever. The Jedi didn't seem to be the type to discipline children, but I didn't want to find out the hard way. As we walked the never ending corridors, underneath the high ceilings and through the heavy metal doors, we passed many Jedi, and many children as well. Most of the Jedi carried a metal cylinder with them, just like the one Master Plo had hanging from his belt. It seemed to be a symbol of status among these people, the children didn't have one, and neither did the maintenance staff.
We took one of the elevators to the top floor, and it opened to an antechamber lined with ivory seats. On the floor there was a symbol I'd seen in all the Jedi's left shoulder pads. I guess this is it. We stood in the centre of the room and waited. Before long, the doors opened and a Master came out followed by a Togruta child. She could not have been older than four.
The guard ushered us in, and once we made it to the centre of the circular room they closed the doors behind us. There were fifteen seats with their backs to the windows, facing the centre of the room, but only twelve were occupied. Whether the members were absent or dead, I wouldn't ask.
"Master Plo, you have someone to introduce us to, I see." Said a little green life form sitting on one of the chairs.
"That I do, Master Yoda," he said motioning me to step closer. "This is Kriari Foreas, she was living with the Sand People in Tatooine."
"A Zabrak living with the Tusken? I did not think that possible." Said another, his skin dark and his eyes piercing. "How high is her midichlorian count?"
"It is surprisingly high, Master Windu. The Tusken claim her mother left her there for protection. They found her dead in the dune sea a few days later." Answered Master Plo.
Meanwhile, I stood my ground, watching the interaction between them, waiting to be addressed. The other masters whispered in speculation, but none of them spoke up.
"Then, this curious child shall we meet? Hmmm.
I stood forward, and approached the masters until I was a few feet away.
"Tell us, Child, How was your experience with the Tusken? Did they treat you well?" Said the man with the sharp eyes.
"Yes, Sir. I was treated like one of them and helped the trade with the merchants in Mos Eisley."
The masters of the Council exchanged looks.
"Were you not sad to leave?"
"No, Sir. I knew I didn't belong there, not really. I wanted to learn about the galaxy. I still do."
"If we give you a little test, mind you?" Asked the little green one.
"No, Sir." I answered.
Master Windu took out a little pad and had me guess which figures appeared before him. I had to close my eyes for a while, to block out everything else. The nerves, the eyes, the strange place, the strange people. In the end It went well, or so I thought. One image appeared after the other and within a few minutes, the test was over. I opened my eyes and looked back at Master Plo. He put a hand on my shoulder and squeezed lightly.
Well done.
"Her midichlorian count is high, but it is her history with the tusken that concerns me. They are known to be a ruthless people." Said master Windu.
"Discriminated on species before, have we? Hmmm Master Windu?" Asked the one called Yoda.
"No, Master Yoda."
"A decision to make you have then child, want to be a Jedi, you do?" Master Yoda asked me.
"I want to learn how to be the bridge between races and cultures, Master." I answered after a moment's deliberation.
"Made then, the decision is. May the Force be with you, Child."
