the real reason i shift

i can say im going for the aspect of living different plots (tvd, pll, etc.)

but when it really comes down to it, the more i think, the more i realize why i truly shift:

to be loved.

to be somebodys favorite person.

to be someones #1 choice.

the decline in my mental health is fully based around the fact that the only people i interact with are my parents. i have no friends, and it kills me

i find when i script, i always say stuff like:

"i am carolines favorite person"

"i am elenas favorite person"

"i am bonnies favorite person"

because i am nobodys favorite person here, and thats the reason im depressed, because at the end of the day..nobody really cares about me. nobody really knows anything about me.

and thats why shifting means so much to me..i can finally feel love and friendship, something that i haven't had here since grade 5 (im going to grade 11)

so yeah, sorry about this kinda vent post 💀

Okay PLL

the two Jason Actors portrayed him so differently, like it’s okay to recast but why change his character? I like Jason actor that came later though…

Bc they weren't thinking ahead. It's really just that simple lol. The season 2 script probably hadn't even been written when the season 1 one was and the first Jason was cast so when they came up with an actual semi permanent storyline/place for Jason, they basically retconned him

2nd Jason was better and fit in with the DiLaurentis family more but the first would've been too obvious as Peter Hastings' son

I've been wanting to say this for so long that I swore I made this post already but slow burn ships have become this weird thing where the creators of the show lie about where it's going / sometimes belittle their fan base for wanting the ship.

It creates this weird thing with the fan base where they either have no faith in the writers and kind of lose media literacy because they think they're interpreting it wrong. And I'm wondering why there has to be a lie in the first place? (Rhetorically)

You can still entice viewers by saying it'll happen when it happens or I have no doubt the story will unfold how it's supposed to or a plethora of things.

Sometimes then it trickles down to the actors who have to lie and then viewers start to act like they dictate the script and aren't being paid to be subtextually in love.

I don't know, man, it's just odd and feels akin to the PLL writers changing things up because the audience knew aria was A.

(creators usually don't change course like PLL did but there's no reason for the element of surprise to be at that level since people are still going to freak out anyway.)

Yeah this is nothing like cartoon flora, the actress is doing a good job with her script tho. Imagine cartoon flora calling riven hot and joking about trying to flirt with him

Also not enjoying the whole love triangle thing that they still haven’t let go, god I miss Brandon. I never appreciated him as a child but looking back he’s prob my fave after tecna

I am kind of enjoying the whole silva subplot tho

The music choices are so odd tho, why is wildest dreams playing, technically it fits but like way to well it’s really distracting

God no they just started riding, it’s ridiculous but technically in character unlike anything else about their relationship. Can’t believe they haven’t had a major jealousy drama yet

I feel like I should feel something about skys childhood home burning down, but really I don’t. Props for remembering bloom has fire powers tho

I was spoiled about the identity of a specific character so watching some scenes are actually really funny now. Also the obligatory…. Why? That casting is so off

Also officially speaking flora and terra just killed a fellow student, how are they not in more trouble then potentially being expelled. It’s rosalinds fault but would the corrupt government know that? Doesn’t really matter since I don’t want to see them get in legal trouble but it feels eeh off

They try so hard to make rosalind seem scary but she really isn’t, she just looks like a teacher I used to have. Which might be what they where going for but she just looks so bland

Omg sky and silva reuniting! I never thought that plot point would be the most interesting considering how bland everything about it was last season

Overall: maybe 5/10. It’s entertaining enough for me to watch it, I’m not bored which is more than I could say about the pll reboot. But there is also nothing special here
