I think the concept of a scheming right hand man attempting to overthrow their boss and using seduction as a tactic but then they accidentally scheme themselves into a mutually loving relationship is incredibly funny. I have a half baked au with this idea. Bonus points if said schemer only realized their feelings until two or so years after marriage.

Random world-building things I have in Gala (the world I use for my writing):

Day 5:

In gala, when you finally kick the bucket, your afterlife can be a few different things. Most of the time, you will be collected by Pine (goddex of the afterlife and order) and taken to The After, which is a pretty general afterlife that will keep your soul confortable untill it is de solved or repurposed.

You can run from Pine, either becoming a wandering spirit or soon becoming reincarnated

Or- you get shot out into a dimensional inbetween called The Side, and you have to spend the rest of your afterlife avoiding monsters and overall having a Not Great time.

Cryptid Crew Headcanons Part 4 (Only Kumiho This Time)

Kumiho is very physically affectionate. She'll casually have her head on someone's shoulder or have her arm linked with them, things like that.

Her spell isn't exactly a love spell, more like a 'charm' spell. How effective it is also depends on how that person views her. If they actively dislike her, her charm spell is less potent, although it's the opposite effect if they are on good terms with her. Things like sexual orientation and age also play a factor, for example her spell can't make a gay man fall in love with her and it has no effect on children.

Her spell is passive, meaning it's kind of always active. She can't quite turn it off, though it's fairly dormant unless she instigates it.

Kumiho loves playfully flirting with people. She vary rarely ever genuinely flirts with someone. This is both due to fear of finding out their reaction to her being a Kumiho Spirit and because deep down she's afraid they wouldn't truly like her and simply think they do because of her charm spell. While she does like using her charm to her advantage to get things she wants, it's as much of a curse as it is a blessing.

Her spell works like the love spell in Fairytail, so it looses most of it's effect once someone gains knowledge of it which means that fear is mostly insecurity and paranoia. It still affects her deeply though. Thankfully however she has a group of wonderful friends who understand her troubles and comfort her through them.

The thing is while the charm spell works very effectively on those who have a high opinion of her, it's effects lessen the more someone forms a genuine connection with her since those feelings are stronger because they are real.

If someone were to genuinely flirt with her I think she would get really flustered.

It's very difficult for her to really accept this however because the worry someone she begins to care for has only convinced themselves they feel the same and those feelings aren't actually real along with concerns of consent are very worrying to her.

The rest of the crew are working on easing her concerns and doubt, and are there to remind her that they very much really care about her, though. So love still wins.
