I watched about 6 hours worth of tennis so instead of doing individual posts imma just tweet it here

Coco that was the ugliest match I've ever seen you play. 21 double faults and 74 unforced errors is crazy. She was lucky Uchi was injured and couldn't capitalize on big moments. Also towards the end of the match Coco was on the verge of tears which made me soooooo sad like omg don't cry. And another thing Coco's QF opponent is projected to be Madi and she cannot afford those errors if she were to get that far. Idk how she's gonna play against Sakkari like it wouldn't shock me if Sakkari wins in straight sets.

I don't know why people thought Jack Draper was losing to Fonsi. Draper is a sickly Victorian child but he's still miles better than most of the tour. When he finds a first serve it might be over for almost everybody. Also people need to stop expecting Fonseca to win everything he's only 18 and is new to the ATP main tour. Not everyone can be Carlos and win a bunch of titles as a fetus.

All Dutch tennis needed to thrive was for Jannik to get out of the picture. First Tallon beat the rat and now Botic beats Djokovic. Also father time is definitely coming

Carlos won his match in a straightforward manner. I won't say anything else because I don't want to jinx him but good for him

People love to make fun of Felix for being able to simultaneously beat and lose to anyone but I think it's camp. He's won more than the majority of the tour so far this year so he will be just fine

Madi Keys was whacking tf out of the ball and her opponent didn't have a response for anything. Like omg she's playing just as good as she was in AO. I wouldn't be surprised if she won the whole tournament

Sofia Kenin started off so hot in her match against Kasatkina I thought it was gonna be a straight sets finish but Dasha is currently turning things around. Either of them could win and I wouldn't be surprised

Sabalenka's quarter of the draw completely collapsed before she even set foot on court so she should be capable of at least getting to the quarter finals

Idk if I have it in me to watch more matches tonight. I'll probably watch highlights instead

i am much more hype for wta finals than atp finals. this is not a comment on the tours from a stats or whatever standpoint just my own personal preferences of what i like seeing. but i think the wta top 8(or 10) matchups are sooooo much more interesting than the atp ones. i think my issue is that i prefer the wta top 15 over the rest of the tour but i prefer the atp top 15-40 over many of the top players? i am not sure why this is. also i dislike implications that watching women’s sports is a morally superior act so don’t take this post that way this isn’t about that
