Undertale - Platonic Yandere Toriel

Toriel has had a rough life. It started sweet, at least. Married the love of her life and becoming the ruler of the Underground alongside Asgore, and had her first born, Asriel. Only for a couple years later to have met her second child, the fallen human, Chara. Life in the Underground was good, working alongside her husband to keep monsterkind happy and hopeful. It was tough work, but seeing the smiles of her people made it all worthy for her. And yet, it was all taken away from her claws when Chara fell sick. Asriel, devastated by such an event, absorbed Chara’s soul and left the underground. Only to end up dead from his injuries from the human village, Chara’s village.

Toriel, overtaken by grief, left Asgore the moment he installed the new law for the Underground. For all humans to be killed and their souls to be used as the keys necessary to break the magical barrier and free monsterkind.

Toriel lived a calm yet solitary life in the Ruins. Even though she had the company of fellow monsters who stayed behind with her, plus the fun jokes for the unknown voice from outside the Ruins, she was still consumed by the loneliness and isolation. Eventually you run out of conversation topics with those around you, reading the same books over and over again becomes tiring and even the funny banter between her anonymous friend has become stale.

And yet, one day, a new human fell down Mt. Ebott. And another, and another, and another. Every child that fell was protected and taking care of by her, with all the love and warmth she once gave to Asriel, Chara and her subjects. But despite all her efforts, all of them left. They left the ruins, her home. They left her. Until a new human fell down.

- Yandere Toriel whose original intention was to protect you and teach you the ways of the Underground, just like any other human child that has fallen before. Yet, you seemed a bit different.

- You, who was so patient and sweet to Toriel. You would always listen to everything she said and would share her interests in reading, cooking, snails and jokes! Accompanying her in these activities and eating her special pie recipe!

- You, who brought a new light to the fellow monsters in the Ruins, running around and playing games with the Froggits, having conversations with the rocks, comforting and making the Whimsums smile, bantering with the Looxs, having picnics with the Vegetoids, hanging out with the Migosp (and giving their personal space when they needed), waiting for the Mice to exit their home, listening to music and spending time with Napstablook, conversing with the Dummy (although they stay silent) and with the spiders from the Bake Sale (plus buying some sweets from them, as well)!

- Yandere Toriel who realizes that she can’t let you go. You are the reason why the ruins are so lively! She, alongside the other monsters, haven’t felt this happy in so long! Thus, one night, when you are resting in your bedroom, Toriel and the other residents of the Ruins have a chat and reach a conclusion. All the other monsters agree with her, she must destroy the entrance so you’ll stay forever.

- Yandere Toriel who convinces you to stay the entire day outside of Home and hang out with the other monsters! All of them have tons of things to do today, won’t you play with them? Ruins’s monsters who insist on you staying outside Home, and not to worry about whatever Toriel is occupied with!

- Sweet, adorable you that doesn’t realize what’s happening until a huge explosion is heard deeper within the Ruins, near Home! Silly human child who runs towards Home to make sure Toriel is safe and sound, and that no other monsters got hurt in the process! Little you who finds Toriel deep in the basement, with the once pristine door that lead to the outside, completely destroyed with rocks covering the entrance.

- Yandere Toriel who finally looks at you after giving you her back. She is smiling, a grin so wide it makes you shiver. She gets close to you, and even though you have the instinct to back away, you let her hug you tightly. After a few moments of silence, she finally whispers “Now we will be together forever, my child. Mommy and the others will look after you, no need to be afraid”

- Yandere Toriel who will host a party at Home where everyone is invited, to commemorate such a happy occasion! Their human will stay with them forever, they’ll bring them happiness for years to come!

* Luckily for him you don’t find it to be a big deal and quickly tell him it’s fine. You both excitedly introduce yourselves and soon you two become a fun energetic duo.

* Taking you on horse rides, treating you like a lady, you teaching him how to cake (so he doesn’t explode the kitchen again-), and teaching you how to defend yourself. Frying pan wasn’t a weapon he expected but respectfully cool as you show off its power✨

* He vows to be your loyal knight and will always protect you no matter what!

Nightmare:

* He’s definitely heard about you because of your ability and studied about the wither and decay spell? Now THAT can be a very useful weapon! So he sends his team to get you! ….which was easier said than done.

* He knew his idiots were…well stupid but it’s just ONE girl. It can’t be THAT hard. So he goes himself….and finds himself tangled up in your hair, almost getting whacked by a frying pan. He turned into a puddle to escape both your trap and frying pan skills before picking you up with a tendril and taking you away, complaining about the hair you left on him (even though he left goop ALL over your hair- 😑)

* After that you pretty much became swift friends with his team as you hang out with them, heal them, bake cookies, and your bright smile makes them happy. That positivity annoyed Nightmare so much. But…whenever you bring him a black coffee and give him that same bright smile….he can’t help the feeling of warmth deep inside his own soul.

* He may be cold at times but you’re definitely safe around him. Would give you princess treatment….even if he’ll never admit it.

Outer:

* Might be a bit of a unique meeting but I bet you two met under a starry night sky, looking up at the stars together before he starts up a chat with you. Probably a little space pun that goes right over your head making him laugh instead-

* He was pretty chill about your hair although a little surprised at first. He liked showing you his abilities too. It was funny seeing your ecstatic reaction. But he was interested when you one day mentioned the lanterns from your home. He’s never tried something like that before….

* So hell YES you take him to the lantern thing! You even got lanterns for just the two of you to float together. He was in awe seeing your lanterns twirling together to join the VAST other lanterns mixing in with the starry sky. It was…like the city had come to life….and you being here with him made it all the more special.

* He only visited because there was some odd decay in the area….and he witnessed your wither and decay ability. Definitely….surprising. Hell it was like his death touch. He chuckled though once you realized you’ve literally hugged death-💦

* He took you with him to study up together about how this came to be and it seems the flower you’ve consumed is more powerful then you expected. Even saved you from his own death touch. Fancy that. He ended up sticking around out of pure curiosity. Plus….its rare to have someone he’s able to be around without needing to be cautious…

* Buuut wow you were accident AND trouble prone- seriously how have you SURVIVED this long in life?! Got the poor guy stressed with how much you got him watching over you- but you make it worth it….you always give him headpats and promise him cuddles and cookies. Can he really stay this upset seeing that cute face?✨

* He went from god of death to a sweet loving guardian angel. You simply just had that effect on him!

Note: I am so excited to see people still wanting Undertale content! It was my favorite game for so so long, and indulging in writing for it makes me very happy. Now that I'm fully back in my element, I'm confident that now I can write my best for people who deserve nothing but perfection ❤️

At first, Undyne is VERY skeptical of befriending humans now that she's free. Frisk was okay, but this new world is still scary enough for her to keep her walls up.

Funny enough, she's absolutely determined you look like her favorite anime character! This... Is not a good thing.

Challenges you to a fight to prove your strength- Uhm ma'am, Y/N isn't gonna live if you stab them...

After a long day of finding out you're not her fave, you end up exchanging numbers (with Alphy's help and approval)

Papyrus, he gets cooking lessons. You, you also get cooking lessons.

Okay, she really will care about you and your safety if you can't prove yourself strong enough for her own standards.

If you're naturally a fighter, she'll make you prove it to her time and time again. If you aren't, she'll damn well teach you how to defend yourself.

Unlike the skeleton brothers... She'll jump right in to defend you the moment someone messes with you in front of her, the only exception being if you're quicker to fight them off.

She might be physically strong, but mentally she's not that experienced

If you have emotional troubles, Undyne will try! But her trying is shaking your shoulders and "screaming at the negative emotions until they have the sense to leave"

Either you find this hilarious or break down under her fierce force

If the latter is true... Well, Alphys is ready to comfort you and educate Undyne on how to be careful next time

That's what makes not just Undyne a great friend, but a greater friend with Alphys' help

Awkward around touch at first. But after she's more comfortable and knows you like it, Undyne greets you with a BIG bear hug that nearly crushes your ribs.

OKAY!!! THIS IS WHERE MY "INTERESTING" PART COMES IN 😁 monsters are just coming to the surface, and speciesism is as high as ever. after a year of this, queen toriel decides to open a human-monster program, something that also promotes her small school.

monsters adopt humans! ebbot was a bit iffy on it, but after realizing the benefits the mayor eventually agreed. (jk that nigga only wants the money 💀-) It was hard to get the program started, because many schools and orphanages werent as trusting, and the state wasn't fundinh it at all. So Toriel took a different approach.

Many monsters put their savings into it, considering their currency is literal fucking gold, and the program would allow each child to get $1000+ per month, depending on their age and needs. and yes giving kids thousands of dollars per year doesn't sound like a good idea, but shhhhh! the plot my dear!

The monsters who take care of them aren't allowed to use it themselves in selfish situations. Both the child and the guardian has rules.

one) you guys have to interact in some way. whether it be verbally, or even physically. two) NOTHING 18+, as all children being minors, that would be kinda weird. three) follow laws as follows- just dont be a shitty parent. four) the child has to want to participate as well, and cant do anything to hurt the guardian. including verbally (bc monster souls are made of feelings pretty much [thats another hc for another day])

id love to go deeper into the details, yet i however cannot bc i dont know how a parent-child program works.

and you have to be in the program for 1 month before you or the child wants to back out.

doesn't matter if its one-sided or not, when someone doesn't like it it immediately stops. id like to say that frisk and papyrus put most if their money into this, just so she can be adopted by toriel.

so when papyrus sees that gaster and sans have been stuck in the lab (not the basement!) for globs of hours at a time, sporadic sleeping, and overall exhaustion from work, he says the craziest shit

"SINCE YOU TWO ARE NERD BUMS, AND I CAN'T ALWAYS BE AT HOME FOR YOU TWO, I ADOPTED A HUMAN CHILD!!"

sans, in his sleep deprived state, promptly rose an eyebrow and fell out of his chair onto his side.

yea, its not that he didn't take the thing well, bro couldn't process it 💀💀

gaster just rolled his only visible eyelight and went back to work

Careful as to not smudge your dirty shoes against the shiney floor, you looked around the house in amazement. This place had to have atleast 5 rooms!

and then the in law suite on the side looked like another 2 rooms!?? BEST DAY OF YOUR LIFE!!

Not only did you have super nice guardians (you hoped), they were packed enough to keep you and themselves stabilized!! Hell, if theirs more people, they could support them aswell!!

Taking off your shoes, you looked around the living room. The long couch was green, albiet a bit patchy for a nice place, while the tan side couches could lean back!!

"HAVING FUN DEAR HUMAN CHILD?" Papyrus smirked. He knew that the house of the Great Papyrus was enough to impress anyone, even of young ages.

"You guys are so rich!! wow- i mean, not that im tryna take your money or anything, but like- WOW!! Its so big!! Bigger than anything ive ever been to!" You were now flapping your hands and bouncing a bit. Your locs of hair bounced in it's pony tail no matter how small the fidget-hop was.

Behind the living room was a beautiful and lavish kitchen, and to the right there was the steps. To the right it looked like some like of master bedroom or guest bathroom.

But you didn't care about rooms right now, you wanted to see your other guardians!!

"Where are the other people im supposed to be meeting? Are you my only guardian or do they have to take care of me too? Are they mean? Are they bums? I hope they dont smoke or something, Do they have an addiction? What about-"

"THAT!, DEAR CHILD, IS GOING TO BE FOR INTRODUCTIONS!! DO NOT WORRY, WHILE THOSE TWO MAY BE GRUMPS, THEY ARE PLEASANT PEOPLE TO BE AROUND...EVEN IF THE LACK OF SLEEP TAKES THEIR PLEASANT PERSONALITY AWAY..." Papyrus concluded. You noticed that, despite the way he tried to talk to himself, you still heard it loud and clearly.

Maybe he had a hard time with volume control. meh.

Grabbing your hand and leading you towards the back door next to the kitchen, Papyrus opened the door. He had to lean down a bit in order to hold your hand, but he didn't mind.

The hallway was looooong. Instead of it being regular walls, it was glass windows of different colors. Which made you raise an eyebrow abit.

Seeing your reaction, the tall skeleton explained, "SINCE WE DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH SPACE FOR EXPERIMENTAL ACTIVITY, TOTALLY NOT BOMBS, MY BROTHER AND FATHER DECIDED TO LIVE IN THE SUITE!" He said, walking and talking.

You both reached the end of the hallway, hearing mumblings, ramblings, and overall terms that lowkey hurt your brain.

Getting too excited, you open the door to a glass-based lab. With the occasional plastic and metal equipment.

In the middle of the room there was an island counter filled was rainbow colored stuff ('gay as hell' , you sniggered), small green candies, and lots and lots if paper and pencils sharpened to the ends.

At one end of the room, there was a tall skeleton, a little shorter than Papyrus, who was more goop than skeleton. Infact, he looked like someone took a fire torch to his upper body, but you didn't say anything.

At the other end, there was a short skeleton, probably shorter than you (hah, being 5'0 did pay off), laying with his head on the desk, knocked out with blue slob. You marveled at the sight, wanting to know more about monsters at this revelation.

"FATHER! BROTHER! THIS IS THE CHILD I ADOPTED FOR ALL OF US!" Papyrus announced, grinning undauntedly. The smaller skeleton banged his head on the desk at the loud voice, while the other one barely flinched and turned slowly in irritation. "INTRODUCE YOURSELVES WHILE I MAKE LUNCH FOR THE GROWING FETUS!" He declared, marching out with a big smile.

If this plan went correctly, then his favorite family members would be mentally stable (as much as one could try- he thought to himself).

after banging his head on the damned table, sans sat up a bit disoriented.

why was there a human child in the house?

why was it in the lab?

"uhh kid, ur not supposed be here...uhh, its not safe and uh, you could die."

"WOW! Your so freakin cool! How do you talk without moving your face? Are you wearing a mask? I could die here! ooh shiney stuff, can i touch it?"

yea.. this kid has not had a proper friend in a minute

he was overwhelmed by the questions you asked at first, he didn't answer them at all in favor of watching gaster struggle to calm you down.

sans didn't mind how loud you were, it was moreso the curiosity that you brought along with you.

that wouldn't do.

"Hey! What's this?" the kid asked, walking towards the machine that could very much possibly cause the heat death of the universe, before getting snatched up by gaster.

"Enough! you are here to introduce yourself, and you will do as such" It was funny to see the man twitch like that. sans likes this kid already.

After knowing your name and age, sans was a bit surprised.

he honestly thought you were younger.

while introducing himself he tried to keep it simple and short. how old is he?

"how old am i old man?"

His blue slippers shifted from the movement of his ankle bones.

he thought you were just an average kid, but something about you was different.

oddly enough you always wore these earrings saying Y on the right and N on the left.

Now its a week past since you came into the 'haunted house', aka the skele-dungeon

you two play pranks against gaster when he has free time. watching him bounce his leg in irritation every time he finds a lima bean in his notes is pure gold.

since you're virtual, due to your choice, he tries to take you places.

some of the most consistent ones are dance class every saturday and neighborhood walks you take by yourself.

I think of sans is the type of person to give less of a shit about his dad.

mostly because if the way he approaches things, iN tHE NaME oF sCIeNcE

it pisses him off everytime he tries to ask you for a blood sample

and it makes him even angrier when you say yes without a second thought.

but despite that, he cares about gaster.

but he wants to choke him out being his first son.

Despite being constantly sleep deprived, he makes time for this little new joy in his life.

Back then he's sleep at his desk, especially when his magic reserves were too low to shortcut.

But now, and you thought he didn't notice, you carry him to the living room of the main house and turn the tv volume down to 9 when you cant fall asleep.

another thing you both have in common

More often than not, you both find each other at the odd hours if the night.

since he can barely cook shit, it's mostly you making the midnight snacks

he appreciates the food you make for him, despite him initially coming to get a 10 1/2 ounce bag of chips

other times you guys will sit in the living room in silence

occasionally he'll find himself rambling to you about physics, specifically quantum, so he can keep his memory up.

sans likes the way you treat his brother.

as an uncle and not a childish cousin.

You may not be able to keep up with Papyrus's schedules and puzzles

but when you can, you two shine this wholesome light on the whole house that makes sans's soul ache lovingly.

Papyrus likes to take you out for walks more than him, or you'll both hang out in the backyard next to the glass hallway of the suite.

on his breaks, he'll find you two doing silly things

like rolling in the grass

or trying to carry each other.

without being able to admit it, sans and papyrus feel a new joy in their life.

and they got a cool kid to come with it :)

Gaster and sans were in the lab when his father said the most dumbest shit his nonexistent ears could ever listen to

gaster was never fully succumbed into the void, as sans had saved him before anything totally horrible happened.

hence his melted face and arms.

but he saw something, or rather somethings, that his meticulous little nerd brain has been hyperfiaxting on since the child came.

"Let's discover new universes!"

sans was just like 'naw, jit crazy'

so gaster fucks around with the machine for a while in secret while sans is frolicking with his newly adopted child.

ew, children.

but he guesses that she's okay, despite her adamant queries (hehe).

and soon enough, the machine made that man find out after he fucked around

Now that the machine stopped pouring in different variants of his children, this only made gaster more excited to use the machine.

sans on the other hand was fuckin freaking out.

the damn geezer did it

but not only that, there are aggressive ass versions of him who are willing to kill a child and that wont go.

sans is not gonna give on the things that bring him joy that easy.

ok so he got his ass whooped, no biggie.

and now his adopted child is befriending them. great.

annnddd now his brother is taking care of them. even better.

AANNNDD now his father is too interested in them to try and find a way to send them back. AMAZING!

Mafiaboys adopting a teenage (15) who was about to be unknowingly married off to a much (30) older dude(This dude is working under him and is secretly selling out information) Turns out Teen Y/N has no idea thinking this was a little coming of age but this is basically a wedding to force her into it.

Basically the wedding didn't cut and she ends up running out as quickly as she could and the story could pick off from there.

You could hear the footsteps of your would-be husband quickly following you, calling out your name as the two of you continued to run.

You detoured into a back alley as soon as you could, determined to get this motherfucker off of your trail.

You hadn't anticipated hitting a dead-end.

What you also hadn't anticipated was for the man's SOUL to get tugged out. A flash of purple nearly blinded you before there was nothing but a tiny puddle of blood left to decorate the concrete earth.

A tall, intimidating form stepped out of the shadows- almost seeming to materialize from them- before turning their head towards you and fixing you with glowing mismatched eyelights.

You nearly choked on air when the pure danger radiating through the air finally reached you.

Another two figures appeared in respective bursts of red and blue.

... and that was, essentially, the story of how you got adopted by three of the most terrifying Mafia Figures in all of history.

It was a slow process, mind you. Sometimes Soot would randomly tail you for absolutely no reason at all. Sometimes Hit would turn up and inquire if anyone was getting too handsy or pushing you into things. Colt had been the one to buy you a cottage with your name down for everything so that you knew it wouldn't be able to taken from you.

They were funky at times, but surprisingly sweet considering their job.

... You decided to ignore the fact that anyone who dared to treat you like shit vanished off of the face of the earth.

| - Cross understands your situation and is accepting of it, and would never deny any sort of affection or deprive you of anything you want. So if you get clingy, he’ll just let you cling on, I mean, it’s helping you, so go on ahead.

| - Might try to help you ease anxiety by taking you out of anything that may make you uncomfortable. He sees that you carry a stuffed fox around and gets you even more stuffies to cheer you up whenever he notices you’re feeling paranoid or anxious.

| - Overall a really sweet guy.

| - Perfectly fine with it and doesn’t really mind the whole clingy thing. If you want to stay by his side and follow him everywhere, that’s okay. He’s actually quite fond of it. He’ll comfort you and everything when you panic.

| - Sans will just do whatever you want, he doesn’t care. As long as you’re satisfied and not panicking anymore, then everything’s fine. He always has your plushie on him and he’ll give it to you when you start panicking.

| - Geno relates a bit to how you feel because they have some pretty bad anxiety themselves. They’re still very anxious on how to help you and make you feel just the slightest more comfortable, but they don’t know if they’ll make it worse.

| - Ends up nervously helping you through it using quiet, soft-spoken, words of affirmation. They’re not the best at expressing themselves and communicating with you, but they’re trying.

So would it be ok if I asked for a monster! Reader (like from undertale or deltarune) meeting gold (mt. silver or lost silver, which ever would be easier for you) and via magic sorta revived/gave gold the appearance of being alive/give him his limbs back. After that they go somewhere (like a park or a fast food restaurant) and just let him have a good time in such a long while? (Also I swear all the art you’ve been doing of Hypnos lullaby has been so cool!)

As a Monster specializing in green “attacks”, you always used them to help out others. Especially humans who fell into the Underground, healing their injuries and other ailments.

Once your kind was freed after the barrier broke, you set off on your own to help everyone you came across. On the Surface you realized there was almost no limit to your magic anymore--you can heal folks from even the most grievous injuries.

The only thing you couldn’t do was bring back someone from the dead.

Eventually your travels took you to a dark cavern within a snow mountain, where you met some weird letter-shaped creatures. 

They looked like those “pocket monsters” Alphys was obsessed over, but you thought they were just a product of human fiction.

Nevertheless, they led you further inward with a sense of urgency in their cries, meaning someone they knew was here....and likely hurt.

But you weren’t expecting to find a human (or at least what appeared to be one) lying on the ground with all of his limbs severed. Even his eyes were gouged out, and his jacket and shorts were covered in blood.

This was, by far, the worst thing you’ve ever seen. 

‘How could anyone torture a kid like this...he has to be dead for sure..’ You feared, but it turns out he’s somehow alive, only passed out as he eventually comes to and sees you there.

He can float, apparently, which you find fascinating. But he was clearly in agony, hardly able to speak and only being able to tell you that "everything hurts”.

So you work your magic (after convincing him you could heal him, ofc), successfully restoring his limbs and eyes, and healing his wounds. His flesh remained ghost-white, though besides that he looked like a normal human.

He was shocked at first, but once he realizes he can speak and use his limbs again..he starts bawling his eyes out.

And the first thing he does with his newly-restored arms is hug you tightly, thanking you over and over again. He didn’t understand how you did this or why you wanted to help him at all, but he was eternally grateful.

You comfort him, telling him you couldn’t see a human suffer like that.

After he calms down, you carry him down the mountain (since he’s still getting used to limbs), and during the journey back into town he tells you his name is Gold (and remembers he used to be called “Ethan” too, but prefers the former).

He’s not used to the sunlight at first, which you can sympathize with--considering all the years you lived in the Underground.

“It’s like a giant dark cavern, too,” you explained to him. “A society underneath an endless night sky, though...Mt. Silver made me feel like I was back in Snowdin.”

It became apparent that talks of snow stressed him out, so you ditched that discussion and decided to venture to the nearby nature park, where Monsters and humans alike roamed.

Gold shows you his Pokémon team, nearly crying again when he realizes they’re all healed, too, with Hurry’s sight restored and Shiny Celebi’s body completely whole.

Together you just watch the two Pokémon (and the Unowns who led you to him) play around, sitting on the bench.

He worries that your magic is only temporary, but you reassure him it’ll stay with him forever. It has enchantments that will protect him from future injuries to his limbs and eyes.

While you’re used to travelling the world solo, you let him join you on your adventures.

You’ve gotten your taste of freedom, it’s about time Gold got his.
