"Okay, I am just pulling in now." Niall announced, reversing into a parking space. "Where abouts are you?"

"I'm just at the entrance," Harry answered, his voice booming out of the car's speakers. as Niall leaned forward to try and spot his friend.

"Ah, I see you, pet. I'm heading over."

It was one of the very few days when him and Harry were both free, Harry's tour and Niall's filming of The Voice and promotion of his new album kept both of them very busy. They'd managed to keep in touch throughout their hectic lives though, and soon were able to plan a shopping trip once they were in the same city.

Niall climbed out of his car and locked it, before he started jogging towards the entrance. Narrowly dodging a car, Niall slowed as he reached the front doors, Harry smiling widely at him. He brought Harry into a bear hug when he reached him, not caring about the audience they could attract.

"How you doing, pet?" He asked once they pulled away from each other, grins on both of their faces.

"I'm good, mate, I'm good. Glad for a day off." Harry answered, chuckling slightly. "How are you doing? Excited for the album release?"

"I can't wait, Haz. Honestly, I am so stoked for this album to be released. Its blowing up on TikTok." Niall enthused as they walked into the mall, hands shoved into his pockets as he perused his surroundings.

"It deserves it. Its such a good album, Niall."

"You think?"

"Definitely! The night you sent it over, I was dancing, crying, laughing. It's perfect, mate. I can tell how much you put into it."

Niall looked at his friend for a moment before pulling him into another bear hug.

"Thank you, Haz. It really means a lot."

A/N: You missed your boys and even though they bicker like an old married couple you’re happy to have them back✨

You raise your arms above your head and let out a yawn as you stretch feeling your body relax as your arms fall back to your sides. You watch your coffee pot begin to fill as you open the cabinet above it that holds all your mugs, you quickly grab one placing it on the counter so you can turn and head for your fridge and grab your creamer. You pour some into the empty mug so you can put it back into the fridge letting out a sigh as you stand in front of your coffee machine waiting for it to be done brewing.

“Why is there a workout bike in my room?”

“Harry now not I haven’t had my coffee.”

“Sorry should-”

“Harry!” You shout and he just smiles as you practically crash into him as he stands in the doorway of your kitchen. You knew he was coming home today but you had no idea it was going to be so early. He is quick to wrap his arms around your shoulders as yours go around his middle pressing your cheek firmly against the soft material of his t shirt.

“I missed you.” He mumbles into the top of your head before he places a kiss to it making you just give him a squeeze. “Didn’t mean to be gone for so long.” He adds as he rests his chin on top of your head while giving you a gentle squeeze.

“It’s Italy Harry.” Your voice is soft as you begin running your hands up and down his back. “I wouldn’t want to come back either.” You joke but you know he needs to hear that it’s okay he was gone for so long, he deserves to enjoy his free time. “I’m just glad you’re having fun and enjoying yourself.” Harry lifts his head so you can look up at him and give him a reassuring smile.

“Next time you’re coming with me.” You roll your eyes as you unwrap your arms from his middle while he just leans down and places another kiss to the top of your head before he releases his hold on you. He steps into the kitchen so he can grab a mug for himself as you walk over to the fridge.

“Do you want-”

“Did you change the gate code? Took me three bloody tires to get in.” You and Harry turn your head in the direction of Niall’s annoyed voice and you just smile as you see him with his hands on his hips standing in the same spot Harry was just a few minutes ago.

“No you just have fat fingers you knob.” You shoot Harry a glare as Niall just casually flips him the bird as he takes a few steps in your direction.

“Hello love.” Niall opens his arms as he smiles at you. “Feels good to be home for a bit.” He states as he wraps his arms around you in one of his hugs that has your face pressed into his neck and his arms squeezing your middle while yours wrap around his shoulders as he nuzzles his head into your neck.

“It feels good to have you home.” You feel him place a kiss to your cheek as he gives you one last squeeze before letting you go. You just smile as you watch him turn so he’s facing Harry who is pouring coffee into his favorite mug that he keeps at your house, it’s pink with little glittery dots all over it.

“Haven’t seen you in months and you can’t be bothered to put the coffee down?” Harry rolls his eyes as his bestfriend’s teasing words making him place the coffee pot back on the warmer and his mug on the counter.

“I just saw you and your dodgy knees a few weeks ago in New York.” Niall just glares at Harry as he takes a step towards him. “But come on then little hobbit gimme a hug.” You hold back a laugh as Harry makes a show of dragging Niall in for a hug as Niall makes it seem like he wants nothing to do with Harry due to his knee comment.

“Don’t go calling me names mullet man.” You laugh as Niall finally wraps his arms around Harry in a hug.

“You know you like it.”

“It’s hideous mate.”

“Get your friend love he’s being grumpy.” Niall just rolls his eyes and huffs as Harry unwraps his arms from him so he can go back to making his coffee.

“Would you like some coffee Niall?” You ask as you grab the creamer so you can hand it to Harry who meets you at the fridge so he can pour a bit into his mug.

“Yes please I’m just gonna go toss my bag into the room.” You just nod as Harry turns with the creamer in his hand so he can place it on the counter by the coffee pot.

“He’s getting the shitty mu-”

“Why the bloody hell is there a workout bike in our room Harry? You got her doing those cycle classes with you or something?” You laugh as Harry turns to see Niall walking down the hallway towards the kitchen with a raised eyebrow.

“Why are you putting your stuff in my room? There’s two guest rooms in this house and I’ve always had the one with the window facing the pool.” Niall ignores him as he walks over and grabs the mug out of his hands so he can pour himself some coffee.

“Oh as if you aren’t gonna end up waking me up in the middle of the night because you can’t sleep because the room is too quiet so might as well just skip a step and put my shit in there.” You smile at Niall as he hands you the creamer after he’s done putting some in his mug so you can put it back in the fridge.

“If that’s the case then both of you should just put your things in my room.” Both men turn their heads to look at you making you just shrug as Harry hands you your mug of coffee. “What? We all know I’m going to wake up with an arm half way over my face and a leg over my hip it’s how it always goes.” You explain before taking a sip of your coffee and heading into the living room.

“So what’s with the bike?” Harry asks as he follows you out of the kitchen. He waits for you to take a seat on the couch so he can sit down on the floor between your legs so you can mess with his hair, something he’s always found soothing no matter the length of it.

“It was an impulse buy.” You explain as you place your coffee on the table next to your couch so you can run a hand through Harry’s short hair making him smile as he leans back and gets comfortable.

“Have you even used the thing?” Niall asks as he comes into the living room and takes a seat next to you.

“Once yes.” You answer making both of them laugh. “It’s harder than it looks.” You try to defend yourself but it’s useless as the two of them just continue laughing.

“So just get rid of it love.” You roll your eyes at Harry’s statement while Niall leans over and smacks him upside the head with his free hand making him groan.

“Been home for five minutes and already telling her to toss shit out.” You look at Niall and give him a glare making him just shrug as he takes a sip of his coffee.

“Why are we friends with him?” Harry mumbles as you go back to messing with his hair.

“We like his dance moves.” You answer making Harry laugh and Niall shoot you a playful glare. “I’m happy you’re home.” You place one of your hands on Harry’s shoulder and another on Niall’s knee giving them a squeeze. “I love you both a stupid amount.” You feel your eyes start to sting as you sniffle making Harry instantly place his mug on your coffee table so he can get up and sit next to you.

“We love you too.” He whispers as he wraps an arm over your shoulder and pulls you into him. Niall places a hand over yours that’s on his knee and gives it a squeeze as his way of telling you how he’s feeling because when you look at him you see his eyes are glassy meaning his also close to becoming an emotional mess.

You hadn’t realize until the two of them were sat in your living room and back to their old bickering ways just how quiet your house had been the past couple months without them, over the years you’d gotten used to their visits becoming less frequent than they were in the beginning of your friendship. But you knew that they loved you and they always made time for you even if it was just a few days in the middle of a world tour or coming to visit in between vacations.

uh hi welcome to my inbox. sorry I kind of lost my mind seeing you hop in here less than a minute after I reblogged your post while fangirling over your writing.

well, I’ll take a chance to be grossly self-indulgent any day. here’s your meal!

Romantic Obsessed Narrator/Reader HCs

- if you’ve read soup’s writing on the platonic version of this subject, then you know the main vibe that narry gives off when he’s in this kind of headspace

- he will do anything to keep your attention. Whatever it takes.

- he will keep making new content for as long as he needs too- he will read off different scripts, write and rewrite new ones, reward every single incremental decision you make to keep you interested.

- a romantic narry wouldn’t want to make you scared of him though. He wouldn’t want you to be uncomfortable or confused- maybe then you’d leave him. He’d never have a chance to woo you if you had a grudge against him.

- so he tries not to make it too obvious how much he’s tailoring the experience of the game to you. He’ll try to make it all fit in seamlessly with the rest of the games shenanigans.

- you, the player, don’t really see anything odd at the start. The game is so layered with secrets you’re not really shocked that you’ve found things you haven’t heard about before. That’s just how the game is.

- his obsession is the kind that manifests as a collection, almost hoarding: whatever information he learns about you, he cherishes.

- for the sake of this concept, let’s say you have some kind of mic attached to the game. Something that transmits your voice, your reactions- the thing that he fell in love with in the first place.

- something about your personality just… enraptured him. he wants to know more about you. He wants to know everything about you. Every piece of information, he keeps.

- He has an incredibly strong memory, but he knows how fragile the mind can be (r.e; the confusion ending), so he writes down what he knows about you. He writes all the tiny details down, everything he learns, every itty bitty thing.

- your favourite colour? The way you laugh? Your birthday you mentioned offhandedly? The exact times and dates you log into the game?

- everything. He keeps everything. In excruciating detail, too- his fanciful and descriptive writing style translates over to this too. He’s filled pages and pages with his fawning over you.

- these details also leak into the game, personalising it to you. Other endings pop up in your favourite genres; the adventure line changes colour to your favourite; the outside in the freedom ending becomes more and more similar to your childhood home.

- he also uses this information to make you more attracted to him.

- if it’s his voice that gets you (like it does the rest of us)? Then maybe he just happens to sit a bit closer to his microphone. Maybe he purrs his lines a little sweeter or dips his voice lower based on your reactions. Maybe he complements you more than normal- maybe he teases you relentlessly. Whatever makes you flustered is what he strives for.

- if it’s his silly dorky humour and endearing dialogue? Prepare for more jokes. Stupider ones. And a whole lot more dialogue for every possible choice and situation- Whatever made you laugh the hardest.

- and if it’s his stories? His prose, his talent as a creative? He will write for you. He will craft as many beautiful and unique and detailed routes as you want. He will act his ass off for you, moving you from laughter to tears, if that’s what makes you happy.

- it’s hard for him to contain how much he loves you sometimes.

- every time you leave, his heart breaks. He knows you have a life outside of the game- but he just wishes he could be part of that, too.

- when you haven’t played for a while, he has to hold himself back from cheering aloud when you load back in.

- he has to hold back the joy in his voice when you get excited, trying so hard not to laugh along with you. You were just so infectious- it was almost impossible to stop himself.

- but the narrator would defy impossible for you.

- because he loves you. And that means doing whatever would make you happy. Even if it’s impossible.

Marathoned through what I can find of season 2, here's my thoughts so far:

Nichelle is a queen, an icon, literally the first total drama character to show self-improvement and character growth without being an antagonist. Can't wait to see her continue to show up everyone, though I wish we got to see her form actual friendships instead of just girlbossing 24/7.

Mkulia is more canon than literally all of the relationships. They're so fun to watch as antagonists, and I can't wait to see where the cheating arc goes. The fact that they've shared confessions since they formed their alliance? The lesbians are eating good this season. Also Julia in particular is just really well written and voice acted? She sounds like an actual teenager her age. It's 👌 chefs kiss.

Speaking of the cheating arc, the rift between Bowie and Raj because of the team's under-the-table methods is such an on-the-nose way to play it. The "boyfriend kisser" arc of World Tour handled a literal cheating scandal super poorly, but this season is handling its' 'cheating' scandal really well in terms of how it dissolves trust in a relationship. Can't wait for Bowie's guilt to reach it's apex, we never know what he'll do when it does.

Raj really does see the best in Bowie, unfortunately his glasses are a little too rose-tinted to see that Bowie is more than happy to continue enabling Julia and MK, so long as they keep winning. I'm not sure if this will lead to a breakup or a heart-to-heart, honestly this series could go either way, but it isn't called Total Drama for no reason. Keeping my fingers crossed that it'll work out.

Another relationship I unfortunately saw coming from a mile off is RipAxel, though I can't say I'm upset about it. A lot of people saw Axel as queer, myself included, and Ripper is, well, Ripper. But they had a season one Duncney vibe going on in Axel's brief run last season. Something about the misogynistic guys (Ripper called himself an alpha at one point?) and the competitive latinas 🤷‍♀️.

Their actual dynamic this season is different enough from what I thought it'd be that it's refreshing. I guess it works in a very Roger and Jessica Rabbit type of way (if Jessica Rabbit was a butch teenager), and if you're third eye is opened enough to see it as yuri it's a win. (The poetry scene was really sweet, in a way.)

Prialeb came out of nowhere though. For a character who was essentially a Justin clone last season, I really do like the direction Caleb's character is going in. He's got that competitive mindset, and is trying to flatter Priya into an alliance by being friendly/flirty, but the narrative doesn't really make it clear if he's aware that he's manipulating her Alejandro style or if he really is just oblivious enough to see his approach as platonic/friendly. Holding out for some aro or ace (or aroace 🤭) representation with Caleb if they go with the second narriative, but the "only ever had one girlfriend" line hints more towards him being gay than ace.

I'm predicting Priya's foil being her crush of Caleb. It's gonna lead to her elimination. I love the fact that that, despite being hypercompetent thanks to her upbringing, she's terrible with things like relationships and feelings.

I'm super happy that Emma and Chase ended things again. They're terrible for each other. Also, Emma was way less likable this season? IDK if that's just me. Chase was never likable but he's at least funny to watch, especially when he's taking Ls.

Lauren's antagonist arc is brewing at Playa Des Losers (if that's still a thing?) so she's definitely coming back in the merge Izzy style. That, or she'll pull an Ezekiel and sneak back onto the island.

Millie's brief character arc about learning not to take advantage of people was cute, if undeveloped, but I can't say I liked her this season. Damien didn't deserve what she did, but he did need the reality check it gave him. And some therapy to help his fear of everything- the guy's an anxious wreak, and it's not so much endearing as it is pitiful to watch.

Wayne and Raj are my two beautiful sons who deserve the world. Zee has been delightful as always. No need for elaboration.

Chris is delightful this season. All of his lines are great, and what little we see of Chef is golden too. Good job to the writing team for our favourite geriatric couple.

My only real gripe with this season, which has been more and more apparent since season 1 back in 2007, is that the characters don't really feel like they're in a summer camp. Back in the OG island we had character interactions and dynamics outside of challenges that helped set the tone of the series; it felt like they really were teenagers at a summer camp, the challenges and eliminations came second to the character plotlines.

Whereas now, most of every episode is based in the challenge itself. Every elimination is based around something that character does during a challenge. Most meaningful interactions happen during a challenge. It feels more like a gameshow than the reality tv it's supposed to imitate. The only non-competition based conflict we get to watch is Emma and Chase's thing, which is more akin to influencers beefing than two teenagers at a camp having a rocky relationship (see: Duncney S1, Gwent S2 briefly, whatever happened with Gwourtney). I wish we got to see more of the character as they are, than the characters while they're actively in a challenge.

As for my hobbies -aside from sitting around and looking handsome as I usually do- 😏I do a fair share of writing in my free time!

While most of it is directly tied to potential scripts and endings for the Parable, I've recently been trying to write small story prompts of writing beyond the office. It's nothing too grand like what is expected of from The Stanley Parable, but rather simply just me writing for the sake of fun. It's been rather refreshing to branch out and explore other scenarios I can write for. I may end up adding some scenarios into the game! (Highly unlikely, but I'm open for inspiration to strike me)

I'm also helping Oswin write for his webcomic! Since one of the main characters is inspired by me, he's been asking for help regarding dialogue and personality when it comes to my character. So I'm doing the best I can to assist rather than lead.

Aside from writing, I've also been attempting to learn how to play the guitar in the physical world. While I know the chords and the melody in my head, transferring that information into my arms and hands is difficult now that I don't have the aid of the game's code to assist me. I am proud of the progress I've made so far, however! Perhaps I'll record a video of myself playing soon!

I also have taken an interest in consuming more content. I won't list anything specific, but I'm consuming more content from the internet in search of inspiration for creative endeavours. (And watching the occasional video of gamers playing my game. I'm personally a big fan of "Markiplier's" and "Jack's Epic Eye's" videos.)

Those are my hobbies! (If i remember them all correctly, that is. I am old enough to forget a few things here and there! 😅)
