Ooooooo
I have come, with something!
So, imagine reader is a young adult instead of the teen. They already gone through the system, was never adopted, so they have a lot of resentment to parents and such. And they actually work in the school as an assistant teacher. The team thing happens and when reader realizes they were being used, they quit, and after, cut out anything showing they’re a mutant. Maybe filling the claws way down to look like normal nails, or if it’s like wolverine’s, they use a rock to break it.
How would everyone react to seeing reader after that, either fresh from their self mutilation, or some days after?
Thanks for reading my rant!
🌂
Oooooo... Okay, okay, that's interesting! I still plan to have Reader as a teen in the main au, but Reader as a young adult? Not bad, if I say so. I'm going to count this as an au of the Smilodon AU, because I have an idea for how Reader finding all of this out goes, but... I really like this ask. So good job! Let's do it-
If the others, the X-Men and Brotherhood, saw Reader like that... I think they'd feel nauseous. Light-headed. Sick. Because their... whatever Reader is to them, is missing parts of their mutation, the parts that were part of them. Their claws... they're filed down, hardly there anymore.. Their fangs... not near as long or sharp as they used to be. And the small bits of fur or fluff that used to dot their arms and legs... they're gone, leaving the skin underneath. This isn't what they wanted. They wanted Reader as their, well... okay, they had used Reader. They didn't want to, in the end, and the teens wanted to stop it, but- They just couldn't. They tried. The adults... they feel remorse. A bit scared. Because now they know Reader can and will harm themself (and likely had before). When Xavier looks deeper into Reader's thoughts, he sees their inner-self, and it isn't a monster or a beast or an evil person... it's a scared, lonely, hurt child, who wants love, but has been denied it so long that they don't trust anyone. And after what all they've done... Reader doesn't even trust them anymore...
Xavier, Scott, and Jean would try to speak rationally with Reader (their version of rational). It goes out the window real quick when Reader's thoughts turn darker, sadder, spiraling. Scott wants to know why Reader did what they did, because he's sorry, and wants them to know they care. He wants them to see it their way. But he mostly wants to make things better between them. Jean wants to help Reader, and comfort them, but now there's a literal mental wall between them, full of bitterness. She wants to reach them,, to stop them from doing this to themself... Xavier wants to convince Reader they meant no harm, and to give them and the X-Men a proper chance to make it up to them. He knows that Reader will be hard to convince. But they have to hold out hope. If worse came to worse... they can try and move Reader in with them, albeit unwillingly. It might be the only way to keep an eye on them and their health...
Kurt, Kitty, Ororo, and Beast regret getting Reader's hopes up, only for the truth to come out about why they started trying to befriend them in the first place. Seeing Reader remove parts of their mutation, leaving them almost defenseless... Kurt feels scared. He has a visible mutation as well, and while he hid his with the holo watch, Reader didn't have something like that. And they got rid of parts of themself! It's... it's so hard to look at... Kitty wants to hug Reader, wants forgiveness. She's so sorry about what happened, she wants them to know that! But... why would Reader hurt themself? Are they hiding any other wounds? What If they hurt themself again?... Storm is doing her best to stay calm and motherly, which sadly doesn't get her very far. She knows they've hurt Reader, and it doesn't feel good, for Reader or for them. But they need to own up to it. The best they can do is apologize, and hope Reader forgives them, or at least doesn't hurt themself further. Perhaps getting Hank to talk with them would be better... Hank would try and help them, would try to talk with Reader. He wants to provide therapy, or at least get them to have a medical exam. He needs to know how bad they hurt themself. But they're not budging. He doesn't want Charles to force Reader. No. But if they want to help them, they need them under their care. And sadly, Reader does not want to be under their care or protection after everything...
Rogue, Evan, and Logan feel guilty. They know they didn't trust Reader at first. That they didn't want to give them the benefit of the doubt. But seeing how bad it's hurt them, that they'd rather hurt themself than them... It's a tough pill to swallow. Reader already had trust issues. They already didn't have a high opinion of themself. And they just made those a whole lot worse. Rogue is truly sorry, wanting to have Reader stay with them so they don't hurt themself or disappear. She's scared that if they look away from them, they'll be gone. That Reader will leave, or worse, be dead. Evan wants to apologize, but he also wants Reader to give them a second chance. Even his aunt is in on it, and maybe Reader would believe two of them over just one? He really wants them to not give up on them... Logan knows he hasn't handled knowing Reader very well. He knew about some of their past, and wrote them off as a bad influence. And they weren't. They're the cub of his "brother" (he doesn't know if that fuzzy maniac is his brother or not), but they've never even met the guy, let alone know who he was. It wasn't fair of him to get mad with them, to treat them as a potential threat. Seeing them harm themself though... It makes him realize that they had every chance to go after all of them, but instead they turned on themself. And for that... he realizes he shouldn't have been been hard. So cold.
The Brotherhood teens want to throw up. Their favorite assistant teacher, the one who tended to see the best in them, is missing parts of themself, or has cut them down. And it scares the cr*p out of them. This is their favorite teacher! Their go-to adult in school when things go wrong or people won't leave them alone! And they've. Hurt. Themself. They didn't want to use them! They swear! But... they're not sure this is an easy fix. This isn't as simple as saying sorry. This had consequences, and they've (mostly) learned that one has to own up to them, no matter what they be. Lance doesn't want to imagine Reader leaving them. They're the one adult he trusts. And now they're scared, or at least wary, of all of them. The X-Teens are in the same boat, so while he hates to say it, he might have to work with them to get Reader to stay, and hopefully heal and regrow their claws and fangs and fuzz. Todd feels sick. He didn't realize they could do that. They could actually remove parts of their mutation? Just like that? Thinking about it gives him shivers. Who would give their powers up? Who'd willingly hurt themself? He understands why they'd do it, he just wishes they hadn't. Fred wants to hug Reader and cry. His favorite adult (who's only a few years older than all of them) just hurt themself. And is upset with them. And is sad. He doesn't want them to be upset! Or hurt! He's trying to apologize, and is on the same boat as Lance to get the X-Teens help in apologizing, if it means Reader might forgive them. Pietro knows what they did. He knows it was wrong. Is he sorry?... Yes. But he still wants Reader with them. Seeing them they way they are... he still thinks they should be with them, even more now. They need help. His dad can get help, okay? H*ck, if they have to, they can pull Sabretooth in, okay?! He just... he doesn't want Reader to hurt themself even more. They're nice, and pay attention to him and his sister, good attention. How can they let them hurt? Wanda is asking Reader why they did it. She wants to know Reader's perspective on this, on why they did it, how they feel about them all. She doesn't want to hurt them, and she won't, but Reader needs help. She will not have her favorite adult die on her or hurt themself, so they'd better hurry up and go to her father or Xavier and get them involved, otherwise, they're going to have a problem. Mystique feels for Reader. Being distrusted by everyone. Having mutations that single them out. It hurts. It hurts her even more knowing she has hurt Reader with her actions. But this proves to her Reader needs a team. A group. She's grateful Reader hasn't taken their anger or hurt out on them, like their father might have. She knows they deserve it. But... she isn't sure if they should turn to... the X-Men... blegh... or to Magneto... who she's mad with... And unfortunately, those are her two options. The joys of being an adult, being responsible... Hopefully they can reach Reader before it could be too late...

X-Men: Imagine being a "created" mutant and Jean Grey reassuring you it’s okay and that you are welcome at the school even though you aren’t technically born a mutant.
requested by anon
Note: nowadays all requests are done straight to asks, this is my old template of posting and I no longer have their asks!
Ever since you were freed from captivity, you knew you weren’t among either world, not fully. You weren’t a human, but you also felt like you weren’t a mutant. You felt like you were something unnatural, in between the two worlds.
Charles Xavier had come to meet you when he heard of another mutant roaming the streets, causing chaos because you couldn’t control your powers. Whenever you got scared, your powers flared up, and sometimes people got hurt. And soon, you found yourself in a car, on your way to his school he told you about.
The hallways of Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters were much quieter than you expected when you first stepped in. But still, you couldn’t help but feel judged as you walked through the hallways, clutching the stack of books in your arms. The voices in your head kept whispering, kept telling you how you would fail, how everyone would shun you here too. You don’t belong here. You aren’t welcome.
So, you mainly kept your head down, avoiding eye contact, hoping you wouldn’t bother anyone. You were sure that if you even tried to make contact with anyone, get to know anyone, they would shun you, tell you you don’t belong here. You found a refuge from the library, from the far corner of the couch where you could also see the garden. You studied by yourself a lot, reading book after book, learning about the history of the mutants, trying to find a point that could be used to pressure yourself that you belonged here.
One day, as you were at that corner again, you saw a figure walk into the library and stop by you. You waited for a moment, but then looked up to see Jean. She smiled. “How are you settling in?”
You frowned, but then shrugged. “I guess well enough.”
She took a step closer. “I haven’t seen you at our after school activities. You could get friends if you came along.”
You stared at her for a moment. Sure, Jean was one of the nicest teachers since you moved in, always looking out for you, but you know that she didn’t know what it was like to be the outsider either. Or not like that. You knew she was the most powerful of you all, but at least… she was an actual mutant and not a freak like you.
“I… I don’t know,” you murmured, averting your eyes from hers. “I don’t think I’d fit in.”
You narrowed her eyes, clearly confused. “Why do you think that?”
You shook your head, closing the book and placing it aside. “I’m like the only one around who’s not born a mutant. I was kidnapped as a child and tested on, injected with fluids, forcing my body to become something it wasn’t and… I don’t think I can ever fit in either world anymore. Even I don't know who or what I am either, how can I ever belong?”
Jean was quiet for a moment, before she took another step forward and slowly sat down beside you. “If Professor Xavier would think you don’t belong here, he wouldn’t have come to meet you and invite you to come here. He saw into your mind, and concluded that it’s best to bring you here, to learn to control your abilities, and find a community. He knows the best. And everyone can see you belong here, even if you don’t.”
You crossed your arms, glancing at the window where you saw some of the children playing, kicking the ball around. “But what if they will never accept me?”
“They will,” Jean said quietly. “We’ve all been through our own struggles, and we’ve all had to find our place here. It might take some time, but you’ll find people who understand you, who care about you. And if you ever need someone to talk to, I’m here. You’re not alone.”
You thought for a moment, before you looked at her again. “What happens if I lose control again and hurt someone? Will I get kicked out?”
She shook her head. “Professor Xavier isn’t kicking you out for something you aren’t able to control. He only punishes you if you do something like that on purpose.”
You swallowed, remembering how the last time went. Your powers had flared, you had overturned a tram, trapping and injuring multiple people. The police had tried to shoot you for that, everyone blamed you, thought you wanted to do that. “What if he thinks I did it on purpose? Last time I—”
She interrupted you, putting her hand on yours. “Non-mutants only see us causing chaos and may think we’re in full control. And it may seem like it in their eyes, as some go into a trance as their powers cause chaos.”
You nodded slowly, dropping your gaze onto your lap. “It just feels like a curse most of the time.”
She was quiet again for a moment. “Some who are born mutants may also feel like that when their powers first emerge, if they weren’t there from birth. Or they may be dissatisfied with their powers because they’re harder to control than what their family has. I remember how one of our students was a boy whose family could spit fire, teleport, fly and grow into a giant on will, and his powers were plant-based. When he came here, he could only make some flowers grow slightly faster, and he thought he’d end up as a professional super gardener while his family is out there saving the world. He also felt like he didn’t belong among ‘real’ mutants. But now he’s able to make trees move, and have plants trap people.”
You thought about her words for a second, staring at your feet. Then a bell rang, interrupting your thoughts. Jean nodded towards the hallway. “Would you like to come eat lunch with me?”
You paused for a second or two, but then nodded and smiled slightly, following Jean out of the library.
Maybe things will get better from now, you found yourself thinking. Your little talk with Jean did make you feel better, even when it felt useless at first. Maybe you’d feel like you belong here soon after all.

----
It was early on Christmas morning. Scott had woken you up at 6am and dragged you down the stairs to open presents with the rest of your friends. You decided that your present to him this Christmas was not murdering him for this act of treachery (and a small painting of Scott depicted as one of Snow White's dwarves).
You curled up on the couch with your loving dog Edo, half asleep, as everyone exchanged gifts. A pile of presents and wrapping paper were slowly building up on the floor. So far, you had received a pair of fuzzy socks that Kurt had crocheted, the Twilight book series from Jean, a Snow White colouring book from Scott, and a new glitter-pen stationery set from Jubilee. Among those gifts you also had a thick leather-bound notebook from Professor McCoy, "The Art Of War" by Sun-Tzu from Erik, and a pair of novelty dice from the Professor. You weren't sure why you got that last one but you appreciated it all the same. As the group surrounding you chattered and joked, your gaze drifted towards the door. Logan had gone on a trip a few weeks ago, with the promise of being back before Christmas. So far he had yet to make an appearance, which was worrying you, but you tried to focus your thoughts back to your friends.
----
As the day went on, you found yourself glancing over to the door every few minutes, hoping Logan would walk in at any minute. You were currently trying to distract yourself by playing with Edo outdoors in the garden, despite the freezing cold. It wasn't working as well as you had hoped, as your mind still wandered and worried about Logan. Plus, your hands were getting numb.
As you throw a ball for Edo to catch, you hear someone walking up behind you. You turn, and are greeted with the site of Erik Lenhsherr, who has a mixture of a kind look and a "What the fuck are you doing out here in the freezing cold on Christmas?" look on his face. You knew Erik pretty well, despite the fact he had only moved into the mansion a few months ago, and the pair of you shared many pleasant conversations (which were all almost entirely about philosophy, western literature and cat memes.) You turn back around and watch as Edo runs up to you, a happy expression adorning his features.
"Might I ask why you aren't inside with everyone else?" Erik asked, watching Edo drop the ball in front of you, before his gaze turns to you. You pick up the slimy ball and pelt it across the yard. You watch Edo sprint after it, then deciding to say "Just thought I should appreciate nature at it's finest, s'all." You hear Erik sigh, and you turn back around to face him. His smile was gone now, instead replaced by creased eyebrows and a downturned mouth.
Erik shifted his shoulders, pondering what he should say, then sighed again. "I know you miss Logan, Y/N." Your gaze turns to the frost tipped grass as Erik continues, "And I know it's hard not having him here with you on Christmas." Erik pauses before saying "But I also know that if Logan were here, he wouldn't want you outside in the freezing cold, especially not alone." He paused again, then simply said with a small bit of worry evident in his voice "Come back inside, Y/N." You watch as Edo drops the ball further away and chases a bird around. You bite your the inside of your cheek, thinking for a moment, before agreeing "Ok." Erik smiled and patted you on the shoulder. "I'll see you inside." He turned and started walking away, then called after him "And put some gloves on!" You huff a small laugh and then whistle for Edo to come over.
----
It was now the late evening. Most of the younger kids had gone off to bed a while ago, so the living had the older kids and some of the teachers inside. An old re-run of 'Home Alone' was playing on the crappy TV that looked like it was around longer than Logan. Edo was curled up beside the fireplace, a content look on his face. Jean and Scott were leaning against each other on the couch, talking quietly amongst themselves. Jubilee and Kurt had gone to bed as they both apparently wanted to keep on track with their "sleep schedule", and wouldn't stay up for just another half hour. What a bunch of losers, you thought as you pulled on the socks Kurt crocheted for you.
You walk out of the living room, wandering down the hall towarss the main entrance. As you round the corner, you see the door open and Logan step in, covered in snow and rain. Your once bored expression turns into one of pure glee as you shout "LOGAN!" before barrelling into the man. Logan lets out a small 'oof' as you hug him, you wings wrapped around him. He hugs you back and says in his usual gruff manner "Missed you too, kid." You release him from your death grip and grin up at him, bouncing on the balls of your feet. "I have a present for you!" Logan raises an eyebrow, but before he can question the gift, you grab his hand and start dragging him towards the living room. As you walk, you ask Logan about where he went, and what it was like, and did he see any cute dogs, and did he take any photographs. He tried to keep up with your rapid fire questioning- that he was somewhat used to, after over a year of knowing you- when you arrive in the living room.
As the rest of the room greet Logan and make conversation with him, you walk over to the far corner of the room where you stashed your present for him during the morning. You fished out the present from behind a few books, which was brightly wrapped in pink wrapping paper, and had a pink bow stuck on top. As you turned around (nearly knocking over a vase with your tail due to your enthusiasm) you caught Erik throwing a questioning look at the present. In return you stuck your tongue out at him, to which he rolled his eyes and turned back around to Charles. You walked back over to Logan, who was standing near the fireplace, and stood in front of him. Logan looked down at you and raised an eyebrow when he spotted the present.
You thrust the present into his hands before holding your own behind your back. You smiled, slightly nervous, and said cheerfully "Open it!". Logan carefully unwrapped it, to reveal a mug. He turned the mug around and read the print on it, and laughed heartily. You grinned and laughed a bit yourself. "I'll use it everyday." Logan said, smiling down at the mug. The mug in question read; 'May contain Whiskey, Vodka and/or Beer' You had found it in a novelty gift shop a few months prior and thought it was perfect for Logan.
As you two talked, Logan thought about how grateful he was to have a little brat like you in his life. Sure, you could be a pain in the ass- especially when he was trying to teach you Maths- but you were a sweet kid. He didn't know where he'd be without you, his reminder to keep going and stick around. Meanwhile, you thought about how your life had been tipped upside down like a glass of water when you first entered the school, and then how quickly it was refilled. Your life had become so much better as you built your new home, your new family, that you loved so dearly. You were eternally grateful for your family, and hoped it would stay this way forever- filled with hugs, dogs, jokes, happiness and cat memes. Though, as you were surrounded by your loved ones chattering away, you had the dreading sense of feeling it wouldn't.

So I mentors Scott and Remy and there can we assume older sisters Jean and Rouge?
𝐀𝐃𝐃𝐈𝐍 𝐘𝐀𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐑𝐄 𝐉𝐄𝐀𝐍 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐑𝐎𝐆𝐔𝐄 𝐓𝐎 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐌𝐈𝐗…
!!! GN reader, telepathic manipulation, overprotectiveness, mentions of comas, sickeningly sweet Jean, trackers, stalker Rogue-ish, infantilism, hints of Scott/Jean and Remy/Rogue (we all know Jean and Rogue wear the pants in their respective relationships and it lowkey shows here).
My eyes have been opened to a world of possibilities I didn’t even know existed.
If you’re someone who doesn’t take well to overbearing and strict yanderes, you may find yourself wondering why you would even bother sticking around Scott (cuz, y’know, you still think you have a say in the matter). The answer is simple: Jean. She comes and talks to you whenever Scott accidentally says something too harsh, softly assuring you that he didn’t mean any harm… he just has a hard time showing he cares! Don’t worry, dear. Jean will talk to him for you, and then all three of you can see about doing something fun later, okay?
She’s just so kind and considerate… it makes you forget she’s a telepath that can easily manipulate you into compliance.
Her and Scott are like the Yandere power couple. One’s an authoritative presence that can keeps you in line while the other offers you honey-sweet consolation afterwards. If you ever find yourself in any trouble, Jean can easily pinpoint your location for Scott to absolutely annihilate whoever or whatever the threat is. Though keep in mind that Jean isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty, too. The only reason Scott throws all the punches instead of her is merely because he’s quicker to get his blows in. Should it be a situation where Scott isn’t there, Momma Jean is handing out comas like it’s the damn Oprah Winfrey show.
“I’ve got you, dear,” she’ll coo at you while stepping over a catatonic FOH bigot. “It’s okay. I’ll always be here for you.”
AND ROGUE, MAN. She finds you to be the cutest thing ever. Of course she’s gonna help Remy mentor you!! No one is even allowed to tease you including Remy, much to his chagrin when she’s around, unless they wanna fear for their own personal safety. She’ll be like, “WHAT IN THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU’RE DOING,” and if you flinch, she immediately switches up to the soft voice like, “oh, not you, sugah!! :)” and then it’s back to chewing out the poor soul who thought they could fuck with you.
She would definitely compliment Remy’s mentoring style well. I can see her chaperoning your little late night patrols, acting as a semi-voice of reason should trouble arise, but not actually stopping any of shenanigans afoot. As long as nothing happens to you, she’s pretty much your chill vodka aunt that bickers with Remy like they’re an old married couple. There’s kind of a mini feud between them to see who can shower you in the most love and affection, so expect a lot of gifts and physical contact.
Of course, like Remy, Rogue wants to know where you are 24/7. She’s privy to the tracking devices in your clothes, though she doesn’t check it constantly like Remy does, as she makes it a habit to always be near you. Mission assignments and direct orders have no effect on her; she’s gonna keep you in her line of sight no matter what anyone tells her. And of course this helps out Remy’s anxiety significantly. Rogue is basically the only person he trusts to keep you safe in his stead, so knowing she’s somewhere near you helps him breathe easier.
Now, there’s this weird contradiction in her own philosophy with you. As opposed to Remy’s “they’re just a petit trognon,” she likes to think of you as a big kid… in a very infantilizing way. It’s almost akin to a parent validating their 7 year old’s yearning for responsibility, where she wants you to believe you’re in control while still obviously babying you in the process. Of course you’re old enough to go to the mall on your own. But Rogue wants to go with you!! Not as a chaperone; you don’t need a chaperone, since you’re a big kid, right? It’s just that Rogue also wants to go to the mall!! For totally separate reasons, sugah!! Promise!!
I definitely see her and Jean doing this. They wanna create the illusion of treating you with respect but never actually giving it to you. For Jean, it might actually fly under the radar when considering she’s basically the Team Mom™ to begin with, not to mention Scott’s overbearing strictness possibly overshadowing her own weird behaviors (a little telepathic manipulation here and there also helps out). But in Rogue’s case, it may be a little more conspicuous. Her normally rough exterior completely melts when it comes to you, since you’re just the sweetest little thang ever!! She can’t help it!!
All four together are a wild ride. You have your strict dad, sweet mom, chill uncle, and batshit crazy aunt, all mixing together into this weird cacophony of accidental coparenting. While Scott and Remy don’t really get along with each other, I actually think Jean and Rogue would easily come to an understanding. They both think you’re adorable and want to viciously tear apart whoever wants to lay a finger on you. A completely normal common goal!! Jean will hand you over to Rogue like, “be a good dear for auntie” while preventing Scott from lunging at Remy with her telekinesis. This is just so fun, the five of you are a dysfunctional family that all of the other X-Men are forced to watch with absolute horror on their faces (and they don’t even know the full extent of how weird it is).
I’m so soft for this idea. I wish I could get darker, but I yearn for the comfort of Momma Jean and Taunty Rogue, SOBS.

MOURNING SUN
Synopsis. You had lost everything: your sister, your life, and your peace of mind. You felt empty, trapped by the guilt of a mutation that destroyed everything you once knew. There was nothing left, except the unbearable weight of what you had lost. But Jean was there, determined to show you that pain wasn’t everything, that your suffering didn’t define your existence. She would make you realize that there was still hope, that the sun would shine in your life again.

A/N ── English is not my first language—Spanish— First request from Jean! Thank you for presenting the situation. If you feel that it doesn’t fully reflect what you wanted or if any part doesn’t convince you, don’t hesitate to let me know. I can adjust it or redo it from scratch. I want to make sure the result is to your liking, so any suggestions you have will be more than welcome.
Yandere! Jean Grey who... met you on a day that seemed to her to be the most radiant. The sun was slowly rising, dyeing the cold sky with warm hues, as the city began to awaken, still immersed in the tranquil murmur of the morning. She had gone out to escape, to be alone, to distance herself from the emotional whirlwind of her life, especially from Scott, whose presence no longer comforted her and whose marriage was on the brink of collapse. It was not yet the time for city bustle, but as she turned a corner, an explosion of despair flooded her mind: a heartbreaking scream, followed by feverishly exalted thoughts. "She’s going to jump!" Who was going to jump?
Yandere! Jean Grey who... looking up, her clear eyes met a scene that paralyzed her heart. A young woman, standing on the edge of a luxurious skyscraper, on the brink of giving in to the fall. Jean knew it, her instinct told her she had to intervene, that she had to save you, to give you a chance you didn’t know you still had. And although she shouldn’t have done it since if it was your wish she had to respect it, something deep within her urged her to move, and before she could think further, she saw you slip from the edge, falling into the void. In the blink of an eye, Jean detached from the ground, extending her telekinetic power, and caught you in mid-air as if you were a feather carried by the wind.
Yandere! Jean Grey who... as she held you in her arms, not only saved you from the fall but also penetrated your thoughts, trying to calm you gently. "It’s okay, you’re safe now. There will always be a tomorrow," she thought, but her words met your horrified gaze, and what she least expected was your response. “Are you like me?” you asked, and at that moment, Jean understood with heartbreaking clarity what you had just gone through. You had tried to take your own life because of your mutation, due to the burden of a power you didn’t know how to control. Telepathy… strong, very strong. Like hers.
Yandere! Jean Grey who... when she finally touched the ground, she landed softly, but was met by a whirlwind of screams and insults. The young woman’s parents, an elderly couple with excessive elegance, looked at her with disdain. Jean had thought about explaining the situation to them, suggesting the option of sending you to Xavier’s School to learn how to manage your overflowing telepathy, but the reception was violent. “Y/N! Get away from that freak!” your mother shouted, pulling you away from her embrace, as if you were distancing yourself from her, as if Jean’s touch was a curse. “How dare you touch my little girl, monster!” your father exclaimed, raising his arms, horrified by what he saw.
Yandere! Jean Grey who... didn’t hear them. Her attention was fixed on you, on the growing storm in your mind, where your thoughts began to overflow, screaming inside. She couldn’t ignore it; desperation grew and grew, and in an instant, an explosion of destructive power was unleashed. The energy you emitted swept everything away: the crowd was knocked down, your parents were thrown to the ground, and Jean herself lost her balance, while nearby cars flipped over and windows of nearby buildings shattered in a rain of glass. At that moment, Jean knew: you had to get out of there. She couldn’t let you destroy yourself, she couldn’t let the world sink you further. Your pain had touched her deeply, and she could no longer walk away.
Yandere! Jean Grey who... had no choice but to leave due to the insistence of your parents, their words laden with hatred and rejection pushing her to retreat. But before she left, she connected directly with you, her telepathic voice resonating soft and firm in your mind. "Don’t worry, I’ll come back for you. I’ll get you out of here, I promise." It was a promise that didn’t need to be said out loud, but that imbued every fiber of her being as she walked away with a facade of feigned resignation. Back at the mansion, Jean couldn’t get you out of her mind. Even when the news showed her intervention, and her teammates began to question her, her mind remained with you. "Jean, you can’t be this reckless, you could have put yourself in danger, I—" Logan began, but her wild and distant gaze interrupted him, freezing him in place. "She needed my help, and I gave it to her," she replied with a coldness they had never seen before. "Don’t question my methods, and even less the consequences. Besides, what do you care what I do, Wolverine?" Her voice was calm, but charged with an intensity that left everyone, even Charles, completely stunned.
Yandere! Jean Grey who... could not contain herself for long before seeking you out again. The promise she had made burned in her mind like an unquenchable flame. Days had passed since the incident, and although your parents had tried to hide you, your thoughts were too loud for Jean not to find you. It didn’t take her long to track your location, sensing the repressed fear in your mind, the loneliness that suffocated you.
Yandere! Jean Grey who... appeared before you in the darkness of your room, her silhouette wrapped in an unsettling calm. You didn’t need to ask how she got there; you knew. "I told you," she thought, her voice resonating in your mind like a familiar whisper, "I came back for you." Without giving you time to respond, she extended a hand toward you, not physically, but through her telepathic connection. You could feel the security and determination in her thoughts, a beacon of protection wrapping around you. "You no longer have to stay here. You don’t deserve this. I will protect you."
Yandere! Jean Grey who... Without hesitation, she took you, gliding with surgical precision through the night. In her mind, there was no doubt: it wasn’t just to protect you, it was because no one else could understand you like she did. No one else could give you the peace you didn’t even know you were missing. Her connection with you was deeper than you could ever imagine, and in that moment, she decided that nothing and no one would come between you. She used her telekinesis to make you defy the laws of gravity, though she made sure that while you soared through the clouds with her, you wouldn’t let go of her firm protective grip.
Yandere! Jean Grey who... became furious when Charles reprimanded her for bringing you to the school without your parents' consent. His calm yet severe voice echoed in her mind like an irritating echo: "Jean, this not only affects the school, but the entire mutant community. Acting impulsively can have disastrous consequences." But Jean remained unfazed. Her response was firm, with an intensity that even made the mansion's founder falter. "If anything happens, I will take full responsibility. This is the right thing to do, Charles. She needed help, and I gave it to her." Before leaving the room, Jean returned to you, still shaken by the sudden change in your life. Her face softened her gestures as she leaned toward you, her lips brushing your forehead in a protective gesture. "Welcome to your new home," she thought, letting the warmth of her words settle in your mind.
Yandere! Jean Grey who... decided that no one else would have the privilege of teaching you. She assigned herself as your tutor, convinced that no one could understand your abilities and challenges like she could. The first days were difficult; your self-confidence was nonexistent, and your powers were overflowing. But Jean was patient, yet unyielding. "You are not weak," she thought one day while guiding you through a training session. You were sitting opposite each other, her hands brushing against yours to share the flow of telepathic energy. "You are stronger than you think. I know it, and soon you will too." Slowly, with her guidance, you began to control the echoes of the minds that tormented you, the chaos that you once thought was impossible to manage.
Yandere! Jean Grey who... made every moment together special. After each training session, she took you to meditate under the sun, often in the backyard of the mansion or even on the nearby hills. The wind caressed her hair as both of you closed your eyes, synchronizing your breaths and minds. Jean found peace in those moments, a calm she hadn’t felt in years. “Silence is not emptiness,” she thought, sharing her thoughts with you as you both felt the energy of the surroundings, “it is strength, and it is within you.”
Yandere! Jean Grey who... loved taking you flying. It was her favorite activity with you, her way of showing you that the world wasn’t as terrible as you believed. When she sensed your spirits dropping, she simply took your hand and, with a serene smile, ascended with you to the heights. The fresh air brushed against your face as you held onto her, her grip firm but filled with tenderness. “Look,” she thought, pointing to the horizon, “all of this can be yours. The world is bigger than your fears, and I will be with you to face it.” And in those moments, you felt that maybe, just maybe, everything would be alright.
Yandere! Jean Grey who... became your safest refuge. Every night, before you fell asleep, she made sure you were okay. There was something in her embrace, in the way she wrapped you in her arms and whispered thoughts of comfort into your mind. The first time she did it, you felt uncomfortable; you weren’t used to such closeness. But over time, those hugs became a ritual you looked forward to. “Sleep peacefully,” she said, tucking your hair behind your ear as she watched you close your eyes. In her mind, you were not just a student. You were her sister, her best friend, and her daughter all at once. A connection that no one else would understand or share.
Yandere! Jean Grey who... felt the heartbreaking echo of your thoughts even before you uttered a single word. You were sitting together on a quiet afternoon, after one of your training sessions, when the sadness of your emotions began to seep through your mental connection. She didn’t ask. She knew you would eventually share it. And you did. Your voice was low, almost a whisper, as you described the story you had kept in the darkest corner of your heart. Your older sister had been the first to manifest her mutation: her bluish skin, her vibrant hair. You had admired her, although your parents saw it as a curse. Their rejection was swift and brutal. "They threw her out," you said, your voice trembling, "they kicked her out of the house like she was trash."
Yandere! Jean Grey who... shut her eyes tightly as you continued, each word like a knife plunging into her mind. Your parents' cruelty didn’t stop there. They didn’t just repudiate her; they called in an anti-mutant group, handing her over to their hands filled with hate. You saw it all, hidden behind the curtains, your small figure trembling with fear as those men dragged her in front of your house. "She screamed my name," you whispered with a broken tone. "She asked for help, but I... I did nothing. How could I? I was only eight."
Yandere! Jean Grey who... felt her fury grow as you mentioned how your parents closed the curtains, ignoring your sister’s screams as she was murdered. They didn’t let the horror of the world enter their home. But you saw it all. Every moment of her agony was etched in your memory, and since then, you knew you feared the day you would also develop a mutation.
Yandere! Jean Grey who... listened, motionless, as you continued. Your powers came suddenly, accompanied by the voices of strangers resonating in your mind. They tried to hide you, to keep you as an embarrassing secret. "They said they would pray for me," you said with a bitter attempt to laugh, "but all they did was ignore me." The voices never stopped, and over time, they began to overflow you. Desperate and alone, you decided to end it all. "But I love them," you murmured finally, your words like a dagger in Jean's heart. "They are my parents... the only ones I have... I can’t hate them, even after everything."
Yandere! Jean Grey who... felt her blood boil upon hearing that. How could you love those who had done you so much harm? Who had destroyed your sister and pretended to ignore your suffering? For Jean, that love was incomprehensible, unacceptable. But she didn’t say it. Instead, she pulled you close, embracing you with a tenderness that contradicted the fury burning inside her. "They don’t deserve you," she thought firmly, although she never shared it directly with you. But she felt it. That dark spark growing within her. An insatiable desire to completely remove you from them.
Yandere! Jean Grey who... from that day on, protected you even more fiercely. She made sure you never had to remember that past. She always found ways to keep you occupied, whether it was in training, flying together, or simply in silence, feeling her comforting presence. Every night before you went to sleep, she ensured you were safe, that no one would ever hurt you again.
Yandere! Jean Grey who... watched silently from the dining room window when your parents arrived at the mansion, accompanied by a pair of police officers. The X-Men were gathered in the hallway when they heard, and Charles quickly began to try to talk to them, but Jean interrupted him. "I need them to leave. This is my battle," Jean said telepathically, her words filtering through like a whisper. Although she said nothing out loud, everyone knew Jean would never allow them to take you back. Your parents, with their cold and haughty demeanor, didn’t even bother to greet the others. “We’ve been looking for you, Y/n,” your mother said, her tone relentless. “It’s time for you to come home.”
Yandere! Jean Grey who... tensed up. The air around her seemed to thicken, charged with dangerous energy. The conversation between the adults continued, but her mind was already consumed with thoughts she didn’t want to hear: “They don’t deserve you. You can’t go with them.”
Yandere! Jean Grey who... looked at you, knowing that, in that moment, your mind was starting to fill with doubts. "I can go with them, can’t I?" you thought, looking at the others. You had learned so much, you felt stronger, more in control of your telepathy. You had the feeling that you could face the world again, without needing to hide. But Jean, so certain that no one could interrupt what she had built, couldn’t bear the idea. "No. You can’t go with them." The words pierced your mind like lightning. Her control over the situation broke, and a fierce torrent of emotions overwhelmed her. Jealousy, despair, rage… Everything exploded at once.
Yandere! Jean Grey who... completely lost control. The feeling of losing you, even if just for a moment, pushed her to the limit. The police officers approached with intentions of taking you back, and in a single motion, Jean raised a mental barrier that disarmed everyone present. Effortlessly, her powers destroyed the police equipment, throwing the officers against the walls with devastating force. Your mother screamed, her face transformed by fear, but before she could react, Jean lifted her off the ground and slammed her against one of the columns.
Your father tried to run, but didn’t have time. Jean stopped him with a gesture, twisting his body until he fell to the ground lifeless, his life snatched away in the blink of an eye.
Yandere! Jean Grey who... felt no remorse. On the contrary. She was taking what she felt was hers. You. "You are no longer theirs," she thought, watching how your mind fragmented between horror and confusion, how you realized what had just happened.
Yandere! Jean Grey who... when she finally approached you, her eyes shone with fierce intensity. "You don’t have to go with them, Y/n," she said telepathically, every word deep and laden with a promise that, in that moment, you knew you could not break. "You are safe now. I am here to protect you." She took you firmly, guiding you toward the exit while the X-Men watched, paralyzed, unable to intervene. There was no one left who could stop her. "She is mine," Jean thought, her mind a torrent of possessive thoughts.
Yandere! Jean Grey who... didn’t return to the X-Men mansion, nor did she even try to explain herself. She simply took you away, to a place where nothing and no one could separate her from you.
A/N ── Really, Jean isn’t my favorite X-Men character, in any game, movie, or comic, but even though I have a personal issue with her, I have to admit that she’s a good character, and I enjoyed writing this. It was short, but I enjoyed it. There’s something fascinating about her complexity, how her power can be both a gift and a curse, and how her inner struggle with controlling her mind and emotions makes her a multidimensional character. It’s not easy to write about someone with so many layers, but despite my reservations, I found it a rewarding experience to explore her perspective. In the end, I think what I found most intriguing about this exercise was being able to understand a bit more of her troubled personality, and while I don’t always sympathize with her, I recognize that her story has a lot to offer.
Take a bath!

Savior
pairings: Logan Howlett x teen!reader (platonic)
warnings: torture, violence
summary: after a year of being experimented on you’re finally saved and taken to a safe place where it’ll never happen again
a/n: Logan x platonic readers always have me gnawing at the bars of my enclosure so…here’s more!!! Logan is so bbg.. also Void Runner pt3 is in the works🫡
Normality was something people were used to seeing, most people were what the rest of society would consider ‘normal’.
Those who were considered ‘abnormal’ were mutants; humans who underwent a strange mutation that gave them the X-gene. Many viewed them as dangerous, evil even, many kidnapped and would experiment on them.
Unfortunately for you, you were a mutant, and to make it worse, one who was being experimented on and exploited.
Thankfully there were a group of people who were supposed to help and save these mutants, these people were the X-men. Today was your lucky day, today was the day you’d be saved, if only you knew that.
“Transfer 26 back to their cell,” an unknown guard said to your handler. Your eyes were trained to the ground, you knew talking would only cause punishment.
You’d been here for almost a year, your powers had devolved recently and you were quickly taken away.
The power of protection, or so that’s what most of the lab workers said. You had to power to conjure force fields around you as well as others or other objects, but you weren’t able to hold it for long; another perk of the power was you could conjure half shields, something you’d be able to use if you ever needed to protect only the front part of your body.
The walk back to your cell was taking its toll on your body, the constant pain and pressure you were put through finally attacking at you. Your wrists and neck itchy from whatever metal was around it, suppressing your powers.
Finally you tilted your head up, noticing the lack of mutants in the cells as you walked, you believed you were the last one left, the others dying from neglect or refusal to cooperate.
Before being able to be put into your cell, a loud ringing began to blaring over the compound, red lights flashed and everything shut down.
That’s when you saw him, The Fucking Wolverine.
His claws looked as if they were glistening against the contrast of the red, you watched as he began to take down many of the guards, each one down by the second. Your handler grabbed his smaller pistol; hidden within his lab coat for moments like this, but instead of aiming it at the beast in front of him, he grabbed you by your shirt.
He held the gun against your temple, the cold metal making a shiver go down your spine.
“Let the kid go,” You could hear Wolverines voice, it was stern but you could tell he was pissed; his jaw was clenched and his fist got tighter, his claws covered in blood, as was the floor.
It was almost as if luck had decided to visit you for the first time in years, because suddenly, everything shut down, the power was gone. The item suppressing your powers had just fallen down. The metal clinking against the floor.
This was your chance.
Quickly you summoned a shield around yourself, hearing a gun go off by your ear; but instead of a thump of a body hitting the floor, all that was heard was the sound of a bullet hitting the ground.
This was when Wolverine took the chance the strike, killing the man in an instant.
The man turned back to you, his face held not much emotion, maybe a hint of pity.
You weren’t able to say much, before you knew it you had passed out, perhaps the exhaustion from earlier finally caught up to you.
You slowly began to wake up, the room was the bright, it looked like a doctor’s office. You looked down, your white prison like clothes not replaced with a gown.
A taller woman entered the room, she noticed your eyes had opened, she gave you a warm smile and introduced herself as Dr Jean Grey, quickly excusing herself to go get the rest of the faculty.
Each person had said their hellos and such, besides two, the man in the wheel chair and Wolverine. The man in front of you began to talk but his mouth wasn’t moving, it was strange but he let himself explain before carrying on.
“Hello there dear,” the voice echoed in your mind, “I am Charles Xavier, I’m currently speaking to you through your mind if you haven’t noticed,” he looked at you for acknowledgment before continuing, “I’ve been looking for you for quite some time now, you’re currently at my school for gifted children, a place for mutant kids to learn about their abilities away from those who fear them, I’m here to offer you a place to stay.”
Charles looked at you, a warm smile on his face. He hoped you take him up on his offer, “I’d like that a lot,” you replied in your mind, assuming he’d be able to hear you as well. This was confirmed when he nodded at you and slowly left the room, but not before saying something you couldn’t hear to whoever was left in the room.
You looked at the man who’d saved you, his arms were crossed and he stood tall before you, “Listen kid, since you’re staying I’ll be helping you out a bit around here to you get used to it,” he said looking at your bruised arms, “I’m sure Charles told you what this place is and what not,”
But before he could say anything else you cut him off, “You’re name,” was all you could mutter before he finished his sentence.
“What?” He asked, confused by what you meant.
“What’s you’re name”
“Logan, I’ll be your history teacher and combat instructor,”
You blinked, confused before understanding he was probably a teacher here.
“Y/N, I’m Y/N,” you looked at the man, seeing if he’d say anything else, “Where will I stay?” You asked him.
“We have dorms, I’ll show you to yours right now, it’ll give you time to change and explore the place,”
“Hm alright, thank you”
“Don’t mention it kid,”
Logan showed you your room, it was ten times bigger than cage they held you in. Their first thing you did when Logan finally left was shower, once you exited you saw some clothes on the bed, with a note from another teacher here who you knew as Ororo or Storm.
Quickly you changed into the clothes, wanting to see the place.
When you left the room you noticed the hallway with a bunch of other doors, many rooms were empty; there was still lots of room for new mutants to make this their home too.
Slowly you made your way to the main hall, there were many other kids your age, each one with a special ability of some sort, you saw one kid with ice, another going through walls.
You started to make your way outside next, seeing more kids playing. Suddenly you hear someone yell.
“Watch out!” You put out your hands, a shield forming around the front of your figure. The kids who threw what seemed to be a football all cheered, before asking you to throw it back to them, which you hesitantly did.
You turned back around ready to head inside when someone stopped you.
“Didn’t think I’d get to see you use your power again so soon kid,” Logan was now at your side, walking you to the door.
“Would you rather I get a football to the head?” You smiled at him, a playful tug at your lips.
“So what do you think of the place?” He asked you, slightly eyeing your figure, trying to see if you felt comfortable yet.
“It’s big,” he smirked at your words, big was an understatement in his opinion. Then a sigh left you, “I feels like too much for me to take in, I can’t believe this isn’t a dream,”
Logan stopped walking, this causing you to stop too and look at him; he put his hand on your shoulder and looking you into your eyes, “Trust me, it feels like that at first but I promise you’re safe here now, if ever need someone you can always come find one of us, got it bub?”
“I got it Logan,” You gave him a warm smile, and you felt yourself feel somewhat better. The two of you began to walk back inside, you felt safer knowing you had someone in your corner now.
“Do you guys have Oreos here?”
“I can get you some.”

bioluminescence | b. blake
masterlist
summary: season one — you thought all bellamy blake wanted was sex and other women, but when you sneak outside of the camp walls at night, bioluminescent plants are not the only shocking discovery you make, and not everyone is happy about it.
warnings: fluff, swearing, jealousy, mention of sexual themes, (L/N) use, roma
pairing: bellamy blake x reader
word count: 4.1k
Sleep was a rare luxury after you and the other Ark prisoners were sent to Earth, especially since you were all crowded in a small camp surrounding the drop ship. Teenage hormones, anger, violence, and trauma were not a great combination for peace. So, it was either crying, fistfights, or the incessant moans of couples who couldn't keep it in their pants for more than five minutes that usually kept you awake at night.
You were certain it was Bellamy Blake and his two model-looking female companions who were often to blame for that last subject. Although to everyone in the camp, it was very obvious that their relationship was solely physical, neither Roma nor Bree seemed to appreciate when other women talked, interacted with, or even sat near him. Clarke was a heavy target because of her co-leadership with Bellamy. And so were you.
You were within the inner circle, the informal 'Earth council'. You were also handy with a rifle and knowledgeable in tracking, so it wasn't exactly surprising whenever Bellamy took you with him on various missions and hunts. Sometimes though, he would bring you with him even if the task wasn't within your skillset—those were the times you were left feeling a little confused.
Nevertheless, a small friendship sprung from it. You weren't best buddies, but you weren't opposed to each other's company either. That was a big no-no to Roma and Bree and they frequently expressed that fact through passive-aggressive tactics.
This night was no different from others. Thankfully, it was the never-ending fistfights that kept you awake instead of other's carnal endeavours. You opened the flap of your tent and stepped out into the crisp air; autumn was definitely approaching. Hugging your jacket closer to your body, you looked around the camp, unsure of where to wait out the commotion. Everywhere was taken, so you decided a brief walk in the woods wouldn't hurt. Well, you hoped it wouldn't. At least if the Grounders killed you, you would finally get some undisturbed rest.
As you made your way over to one of the fence-wall openings, you ran smack-bang into a barely dressed girl with long brown hair. Roma.
"Watch where you're going, bitch," she spat, scrutinising your appearance from top to bottom.
Ignoring her lovely remark, you eyed her jeans and the way her upper half was only covered by a grey sports bra. "Aren't you cold?"
"Not now I'm not." She smirked, eyes flickering to Bellamy's tent.
You grimaced. I so didn't need to know that.
Right on cue, Bellamy emerged from his tent, fully clothed. He scanned the surroundings before his hardened gaze briefly landed on Roma and then settled on you; it was impossible to miss the way his face softened when your eyes met. Strange.
"Jealous?" she asked, regaining your attention.
"Unlikely."
You brushed past her, though she made an effort to forcefully knock your shoulder and spit another curse at you. Classy.
Bellamy took a step toward you. "Hey—"
But you simply moved past him, continuing toward the wall and saying, "A real gem you've got yourself there."
At least Bree was all bark and no bite.
You could hear him sigh as the distance between you both grew.
Truth be told, you were a little jealous. An unfortunate truth but still a truth all the same. You knew you were beginning to feel something deeper for Bellamy and it was becoming difficult listening to other girls brag about their nights with him. Not like you would ever tell him though—he wasn't a relationship type of guy and as far as you could tell, his feelings for you were platonic.
Never mind. You could settle for his friendship... for now.
You had made it outside the camp walls. At first, you planned on circling the fence for a while, but when your eyes caught on something glowing from the opposite side of a tree, you strayed from your path. Rounding the tree's trunk, you found a glowing neon-pink flower; the species of which you were unsure, but it was beautiful. Then, in your peripheral vision, there was something else lighting up your vision, something blue this time. There was another flower just a few trees away.
And again, you walked over to the strange plant, only to find yourself now on a journey that kept leading to more and more glowing flowers the deeper into the woods you trekked. They were almost everywhere and at this point, you were practically running with an excited grin on your face. In the near distance, numerous radiant colours lit up an area covered by a thick cluster of trees. You wove yourself through branches and leaves, pushing your way into the bright section of the woods.
Once you emerged from the trees, amazement morphed into your expression. You had stepped into a small meadow filled with glowing flowers of various colours that covered the forest floor. There were countless species, but they all shared the same mesmerising radiance. Much to your disbelief, there were even electric blue luminous butterflies that concealed the tree trunks and fluttered in the air.
"Bioluminescence," you whispered to yourself.
It was so beautiful, you could have cried.
Maybe you should just leave the camp and build a hut here. It would certainly beat living with the others.
As you moved further into the small clearing, the butterflies flew closer around you. Holding out an arm, one butterfly tentatively circled your hand before landing in your palm. You laughed in amazement, watching as the small creature curiously crawled across your hand and ticked your skin. Okay, that settled it—you were definitely a Disney princess.
The sound of branches snapping and leaves rustling suddenly pulled you from your amazement; it was coming from where you had entered the clearing. You reached down to your belt only to find the knife holster on it empty. Of course, you didn't bring your knife. You had left the camp's safety and didn't even think to bring a weapon. So stupid.
Before you could reprimand yourself any further, a tall figure emerged from the tree line. The tight dark blue shirt was an easy identifier as to who the figure was. And so were those deep brown eyes.
It was Bellamy. "Woah."
You let out a sigh of relief, feeling your tensed body relax again.
His gaze swept across the vivid tree-encompassed meadow, sharing the same wonderous expression you once had. The overpowering glow from the butterflies turned his tanned skin a light blue, defining the contours of his face and arm muscles. He sort of looked otherworldly.
"What are you doing out here?" you asked.
The incident before you left camp quickly returned to mind and it was evident in the slight irritation etched on your face. He didn't need to respond for you to realise that he had followed you. Great. His little girlfriends were going to have a field day tomorrow if they saw him come after you.
Bellamy's eyes found yours, taking note of your negative reaction. His steps were cautious as he began walking towards you. "I could ask you the same thing."
He stopped in front of you, peering down through a few stray strands of dark brown hair whilst wearing his infamous lazy smirk. No wonder girls were always fawning over him; he was gorgeous, and he damn well knew it too. Even you were falling into the very same trap. Unlike them, though, it was the moments you shared with him when you were alone that conjured your attraction to him. Sure, he was easy on the eyes, but you had also learnt that he was surprisingly a decent human being. More than decent actually, despite how he presented himself to others.
He treated you with respect—a lot more than many others had ever done. You had learnt to trust each other, communicate effectively, and work as a team. Sometimes, you would even find yourselves discussing things that you both intended to keep within till the day you died, things that felt too intimate to share with anyone else.
No matter how much you hated it, you couldn't help but develop feelings for him. Even when it seemed he was preoccupied with other women.
Bellamy eyed you, waiting for the snarky retort he knew you were putting together.
You sighed and turned around, crouching on the floor to inspect one of the neon-pink flowers. "Shouldn't you be teaching Roma and Bree gun handling safety in your tent right now?"
That line was dangerously close to sounding like jealousy and you knew it. You bit your tongue because Lord knows you were most likely to expose your feelings for Bellamy through word vomit.
If only you had been facing him to witness the shame washing through his eyes.
"Funny," he said. "But no. I've got more important things to do."
"Like what? Making sure your best hunting partner doesn't get killed by glowing plants?" you joked, glancing over your shoulder to see his reaction.
It wasn't a grin or smirk like you expected. Not even a little chuckle. Instead, he simply stared at you with this intense look in his eye; it was almost sad but also like he was trying to communicate something to you telepathically.
"Something like that," he murmured.
After those words left his mouth, something about the atmosphere shifted. You suddenly felt overwhelmed with emotion and his soul-piercing stare was not helping. There wasn't a wide selection of movies on the Ark, but you had watched them all, including all the romance movies. The only thing you could compare Bellamy's gaze to was Mr. Darcy's in Pride and Prejudice. Reluctance. Longing. It was all there. Had you been completely wrong about his feelings for you? Or were you just imagining it?
The likelihood of Bellamy sharing your same feelings seemed impossible, so you chalked it up to your wishful imagination.
You stood back up, facing him but avoiding making eye contact. "Well, I—uh," you stammered. "I'm not going back. Not yet."
"I didn't come here to take you back."
That made your gaze meet his.
Why did you come then, Bellamy? you thought.
He side-stepped you and you turned to see him wandering deeper into the meadow. He began observing each and every beauty and oddity the small sanctuary held, touching the petals of every flower with a delicateness you had never witnessed before. Soon enough, you felt compelled to join him.
The two of you must have spent an hour in that meadow, inspecting each species of flora, hovering your fingertips through the glowing cusp of each plant as if you could feel its light on your skin, laughing together when a butterfly landed on the tip of your nose. Sometimes you caught Bellamy watching whenever your face lit up with excitement as you discovered something new. He never really looked at what you had found; he just looked at you, but you were too overjoyed to even contemplate why.
You felt like you had entered a dream, protected from the outside world where there were Grounders, war, and bitchy brown-haired girls. Everything real was forgotten, even your unrequited feelings for Bellamy. You just enjoyed his company in this dream and pretended it would last forever.
Somehow, you had both ended up lying on the forest floor side-by-side, surrounded by flowers as you stared up at the starry night sky through the tree crowns. It wasn't as cold as before; you guessed it was because of Bellamy's close proximity to you. One of his hands was behind his head, the other on his stomach. His warmth was radiating off his skin and onto your own.
You could have fallen asleep if you closed your eyes. Probably not the most logical idea though.
Bellamy's quiet, yet deep voice disrupted the silence. "It's just a distraction, you know?"
"Hm?"
"Those girls," he clarified, and you watched as his words turned to mist, carrying into the black sky. "If I focus too much on the fact that I have to control an entire camp of teenagers, fight a war against the Grounders, while taking care of Octavia and y—" he cut himself off, closing his eyes with a sigh. "I just feel like I start to lose myself."
Your focus shifted from the sky to him. Even he didn't seem to be looking at the sky anymore, despite his gaze still being pointed straight upward. He looked lost in his own thoughts. Serious and sombre—much different compared to how they had been just a short while ago.
"Well," you began softly. "We can't have that. You already seem a little rough around the edges, Blake."
A grin slowly formed across his lips and he shook his head. He turned his head to the side, looking down at your smiling expression from where he lay. The weightiness from before had melted from his demeanour. Because of a little distraction.
You had thought those two girls he spent most nights with were there purely for his own physical needs or because his attraction to them was greater than his self-control. Never had you contemplated the fact that it might have been because he was mentally struggling with the hardships of being a leader. Of course, how could you have? He had never told you before now.
Your brows furrowed. "Why tell me?"
The muscles in his jaw clenched and the grin fell from his lips. A sense of seriousness returned but this time it was less heavy. It seemed more like a weight was lifting from his shoulders. Like a declaration. Like a long-awaited confession.
You felt something warm brush against your hand; it gently grazed over your knuckles, lighting a fire beneath your skin. In Bellamy's dark eyes, you could see the reflection of his hand caressing your own and your heart leapt to your throat.
"Why do you think?" he murmured, his eyes flickering between your own, urging you to connect the dots instead of making him say it aloud.
Your lips parted and the crease between your eyebrows deepened.
Every time he picked you first to be his partner on a mission, every deep conversation you shared when no one else was around—they all had a hidden meaning. All the times his hand brushed against yours as you walked in sync side-by-side, the times you caught him staring at you through a one-hundred-person dense crowd, or the way he would step in front of you as if to shield you whenever there was even a hint of danger—it was all because...
"Oh," you whispered.
"Yeah." His eyes flickered between yours before he turned back to the stars. "And I—I understand if you don't feel the same way; I know I haven't given you much reason to. From those girls to the... the radio, and the culling on the Ark. If I could take—"
His sentence was cut short as you leaned over him, pressing your lips to his. You could feel his pulse racing in his lips. Or was it your own? Probably both. Your hair fell to the side and his mouth started to move against your own. He began to rise, moving you up along with him until you were both kissing in a sitting position.
Bellamy's hand moved to cradle your jaw, his lips slow and tender. Everything felt like it had fallen into place, like this was exactly how things were supposed to be, with his lips on yours in the middle of a fairy-tale-like meadow whilst surrounded by a field of glowing flowers and beautiful winged creatures.
The butterflies weren't just circling you now, they were somehow fluttering around in your stomach too and it felt exhilarating.
Unfortunately, the kiss did have to come to an end at some point. Even so, the warm fluttering in your stomach never ceased. Bellamy had pulled away first, his hands gently falling from your jaw and back into his lap. He was looking at you and at first, you were afraid he would get up and leave, or tell you he had changed his mind. But he didn't. A smile crept across his lips—not a self-satisfied smirk or a tantalising grin, but a genuine smile.
Forget the butterflies; your stomach was doing somersaults now. He found your hand once more and interlocked it with his own in your lap. His thumb drew small circles on the side of your palm almost as if he knew you needed a reminder that this moment was really happening.
"That was my first kiss," you admitted.
His smile became a little nervous. "Was it okay?"
Was it okay? This boy was a little clueless if he couldn't tell that you thoroughly enjoyed having his lips on yours. So, you answered him with another soft peck to his lips, then pulled back again to see his reaction. He chuckled, nodding his head to say he understood.
"We can always come out here to practice if you want," he said, this time with a smirk.
You laughed. "I think that's a good idea."
He tucked a lock behind your ear and gently brushed pieces of hair away from your face. You could feel warmth creeping into your cheeks, turning them a rosy pink. Well, it was probably more of a violet hue due to the intense blue glow from the plants and butterflies. Either way, it still revealed how nervous he made you feel.
"It's getting late. We should probably head back and sleep," you said. Bellamy raised an eyebrow, creating his own little innuendo with your words and your eyes widened. "Not together! Alone, I mean. In separate tents. With clothes... on..." you trailed off, realising you were only digging yourself a deeper hole.
You sighed, pinching the bridge of your nose in embarrassment.
He just chuckled and rose to his feet. "Come on, (L/N). Let's go sleep."
You rolled your eyes with a smile as he helped you stand up with him.
For a brief moment, you gave the area one last look, imprinting the memory into your mind. Who could have guessed that when you left the camp walls you would enter a fairy tale of vivid colours and electric butterflies? Or, even more surprising, that Bellamy Blake would later confess his feelings for you? All you had wanted was an escape; instead, you got a dream come true.
Bellamy pressed a hand to your lower back, guiding you with him towards the tree line in comfortable silence.
The walk back to the drop ship was pretty quiet. No more words needed to be said; a conversation that clarified what you two were now could wait for tomorrow when your brains weren't clouded by fatigue and the fresh excitement from confession. Some things hadn't changed though. Bellamy still stole glances at you every now and then, as you did him, earning a nervous smile and blush each time either of you got caught. Your hands alternated from brushing against one another to ever-so-slightly linking pinkies.
Okay, maybe things had changed a little.
You passed each flower that had led you to the meadow and this time, they became less and less as you grew closer to the drop ship. As you came up on the camp walls, the sound of fighting and conversations had died down and was replaced by the faint crackling of dying fires.
Finally, you both stepped through one of the openings and were within the camp. There didn't seem to be anyone awake; with the way the moon was shining down straight overhead, it was clear why.
Your pinkie fell from Bellamy's and you moved in front of him, taking a few slow steps backwards. "Uh, that's my tent over there," you said, gesturing behind you.
His eyes never left yours as he continued to walk toward you. "Yeah, I know."
"Oh, you know, do you?"
A grin stretched across his lips as he hummed and reached for your waist, pulling you against his body. Your hands wound around his neck, a smile present on your face as he leaned in, his lips mere inches from your own. His lips had just brushed against your own when someone behind you cleared their throat and you both jumped apart.
Bellamy peered beside your head, semi-glaring at the interrupter behind you.
What a surprise it was when you turned around to see Roma, arms crossed—clothes on, thankfully—and looking severely unhappy.
"You have got to be kidding me," she said with a scowl.
Perfect. Great. Absolutely fantastic. Looks like her field day had come early.
No way. You were too tired to deal with this. You gave Bellamy an apologetic glance before attempting to slip away through the gaps between tents. Unfortunately, it wasn't in Roma's best interest to let you off so easily. She caught your wrist and jerked you back toward her.
Bellamy looked like he was about to step in, but you beat him to it.
You tore your wrist from her grasp, words dripping with bitterness as you said, "Never do that again."
For a split second, she looked the slightest bit intimidated, but then quickly covered it up with disdain. Her gaze flickered from you to Bellamy; it was hard to miss the way she straightened her posture and tried to look more presentable for him.
And for a split second of your own, you felt the slightest twinge of fear that Bellamy would change his mind about you and leave with her again. But at that very same moment, he gently grabbed your hand and guided you back to his side, dissipating all your previous worries.
Both you and Roma looked down at your interlocked hands in disbelief.
"Listen, Roma." He sighed, sounding like he was desperately trying to keep his cool. "I think it's best if you and Bree find another tent to sleep in from now on."
Her disbelief turned into pure astonishment. "What? Are you serious?"
Bellamy lightly squeezed your hand.
God, he was putting this girl through the five stages of grief. You almost felt bad. Then you remembered the daily torment she had been putting you through just for existing and the remorse immediately washed away.
"Because of her? She's not even—"
"Choose your next words very carefully," he warned in a dangerously low voice.
Her mouth opened and shut a few times before she realised any insult thrown at you would end badly for her. It's not like Bellamy would hurt her, but he did have power over the camp, so he would probably force her to share a tent with Myles or something. His non-stop babbling would drive her to insanity.
She gave him a defiant look. "What if we don't want to leave?"
"I'll take the tent down and move it somewhere else."
"Then Bree and I will make both your lives a living Hell."
You could hear Bellamy suppress a laugh. "Unlikely," he echoed your previous words.
Roma looked to you as if you could help her case—the audacity. You gave her a sarcastic 'what-can-you-do?' shrug which just enhanced her seething temper. It was obvious that she was getting nowhere and the moment she realised, you swore you could see her ego literally deflating.
She made a short high-pitched noise of frustration and spun around, her hair whipping melodramatically through the air as she practically stomped back to Bellamy's tent. You could hear her call out to the other girl inside, telling her to 'pack her shit' and that they were moving tents. Not long after, the blonde-haired girl emerged from the tent flap holding a bundle of clothes. Roma must have explained to her what happened because they both shot a venomous glare in your direction and then walked off in search of another tent.
You sighed in relief as they disappeared out of sight. You were about to walk back to your own tent, but Bellamy tugged you back to him once more, his arms wrapping around your torso as your hands fell on his chest.
"I'm sorry," he said. "I thought she'd handle it better."
You fiddled with the material of his shirt, half-smiling. "I told you she was a gem."
"Yeah." He chuckled. "My taste of women has been a little... questionable."
Your hands moved up to his shoulders, pulling your body up against his. His fingertips grazed the exposed skin of your waist, sending a wave of goosebumps across your body.
"You should really try breaking that trend."
He had that same intense look in his eye as when you were both in the meadow. This time it didn't hold any sadness or longing, but rather a sense of finality and affection, like his greatest wish had finally come true—that would make two of you. One of his hands moved to cup your cheek, stroking your cheekbone with his thumb as his face grew closer to yours.
The heart thumping in your chest almost gave out as you reflexively leaned further into his warm embrace.
"I already have," he murmured before his soft lips descended upon yours.
And the butterflies returned.

𝐄𝐍𝐉𝐎𝐘 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐈𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐂𝐄
“𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐮𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐫𝐲, 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐝𝐨 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐦. 𝐕𝐨𝐰𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐛𝐫𝐨𝐤𝐞𝐧.”
☆ ★ ✮ ★ ☆
Prompt: Vampire reader x Wolverine/Logan Howlet, (platonically)
Warnings: teenage reader, kinda mean Logan
Part 1
☆ ★ ✮ ★ ☆☆ ★ ✮ ★ ☆☆ ★ ✮ ★ ☆☆ ★ ✮
Professor X stared at you who slept “they appeared last night?” He asked calmly, Jean nodded her head “Storm managed to calm them but they seemed on edge.” She explained, Ororo spoke up “I think it has something to do with these” she muttered pointing to the bruises and cuts you had all over your body.
Charles wheeled himself over to you “they didn’t harm anyone did they?” Ororo shook her head “apart from Logan no, frightened one but that’s all, Logan is cleaning up the mess they made in the kitchen they also seem to be non verbal but we don’t don’t known if it’s on purpose or if they just choose not to speak” she explained looking over you.
Charles placed his hands at the sides of your head traveling through your mind carefully. It was chaotic inside of your head no type of organization going on. Thoughts and messy memories being thrown around, It honestly started to overwhelm him as he backed away.
As if on cue you sat up growing claws and backing away eyes darting around frantically “hey hey okay” Ororo was quick to calm you, your heart was pumping fast “it’s okay we were only helping” you looked down at your body seeing you were wrapped in bandages.
You looked at the bald man standing up shakily “good morning, I didn’t mean to frighten you” he said with a polite smile, “my name is Charles Xavier, nice to meet you Y/n” during his travel through you head he had caught your name.
You looked at him questionably “I can tap into your mind” he hummed tapping the side of his head, you looked him up and down “Y/n what nice name, I see you’ve taken a liking to Ororo” the woman with white hair and brown skin smiled at you.
He pointed to the other woman “that is Jean grey, she helped taking care of your wounds.” You looked at the woman with red hair she also smiled at you “hello”.
You stayed close to Ororo “and this is Scott,” you tilted your head walking close to him staring at his glasses, reaching for them he stepped away “careful I can’t take these off” you frowned and went back over to the white haired woman.
“We’ve gotten you some clean clothes if you’d like Ororo could show you around” you picked up the clothes you grabbed your wrist but something was wrong looking around you patted around trying to feel for something “is something wrong Y/n?” Ororo asked.
Your eyes scanned the room as you pointed to your wrists, you couldn’t speak but you made small noises Jean came over to you “what’s the matter? Are the bandages too tight?” You shook your head frantically.
Tears brimmed in your eyes as you started claw at your arms, Charles tapped into you head again stopping you from harming yourself, one thing kept flashing through your head it was a bracelet. It was gold with red ruby’s embedded into the bracelet.
He looked over at Jean “a bracelet their looking for a bracelet.” Your head snapped over looking at the him hurrying up to him you nodded “I saw a bracelet on them when I was treating them.”
She patted her pockets feeling for it, grabbing it out of her pocket she called you over to her. “Here safe and sound” her tone was warm and comforting, snatching it from her you put it on carefully holding it close to your chest.
You seemed to relax once you had it on, causing the others to look at each other “that bracelet does it mean a lot to you” you looked at Ororo nodding slowly.
She smiled “I’ll make sure it stays safe with you.” You grabbed the clothes, about to take of the medical gown but Ororo stopped you “hold on let’s get you to a room okay?” You nodded following the woman as she left the room.
“Seems like they have favorites” Scott joked, “yeah well she’s the only one who hasn’t used her powers on them” Scott nodded before turning his attention to Charles “what’s up with the kid?” He shook his head.
“They have seen many horrors their mind it’s scrambled broken trying to rebuild itself, no wonder they are always so on guard.” Jean stared at where you once stood “is it a mistake to let them stay here?” She asked, Charles shook his head “no, it’s never a mistake to help someone in need. They just need help clearing their head” he replied.
Scott spoke “so they’re a mutant what’s their power?” Charles thought back on your memories “they seem to have vampiric abilities, speed, strength, hypnotizing, and they can turn themselves into a bat. However they don’t seem to have much control over their powers” he explained.
Scott scoffed “that explains a bit, why don’t they speak?” Charles glanced at Jean “she’ll be able to explain that” Jean seemed to be pulled out of her daze “what…oh when I was patching them up they had a wound on their neck I think someone most likely stabbed them and damaged their throat.” She commented.
Charles looked down “that child has had a rough life from the start, I want to give them a new one a better one”
.
You followed Ororo around as she explained the different teachings at the school you hung on every word she said “now our job is to help people, not harm them” she hummed, you looked down the ground “you hurt people when they are trying to attack you, that’s called protecting yourself.”
You held your stomach “you hungry?” She asked, you nodded your head again “well, you ate up most of the food we had last night, and left behind quiet the mess behind” you looked down in shame.
“Now don’t think you aren’t in trouble, you scared one of the children and hurt someone so before you can eat a proper meal you need to help clean up the mess you made.” She said, you frowned “don’t give me that look”
You let out a sigh walking into the kitchen behind Ororo “Logan, you’re gonna be getting some help” she exclaimed, “why do I have to clean up after that brats mess?” Ororo rolled her eyes “because you were the one who decided to attack them instead of defusing the situation. Anyway they’ll be helping you clean up”
You poked your head into the kitchen seeing the man dubbed as Logan. You glared at him growing out your claws but Ororo stopped you “what did I tell you?” You retracted them “now all you have to do is help clean up that’s all.” You nodded, waking into the kitchen “now I’ll be back to check on you in a little bit try not to tear each other apart.” She commented.
You stood there awkwardly staring not knowing what to do. Logan looked over to you “you gonna help or not?” You picked up the food on the floor not knowing what to do you put it back into the box, “what are you doing? Don’t put that back in there. You throw it out” Logan huffed snatching the box away from you.
You made a smug face at him grabbing more stuff off the ground you threw it away “what did you come here for?” You glanced at him, not saying anything “not a big fan of taking are you?” you shook your head.
You held up a piece of food “you were hungry?” You nodded, “why didn’t you just say so?” He joked, snickering to himself. You looked at him unamused, he rolled his eyes “if you needed help you could have just knocked at the front door instead of sneaking in we would have helped you.”
You paused your movement for a moment before getting back to cleaning. Logan looked at you “look kid…I’m sorry I attacked you.” You looked at him blinking nodding your head, pointing to yourself you pointed back to him “what’s that mean?” You pointed to yourself then to him again.
It clicked for him “oh..you’re sorry for hurting me?” You nodded your head he smirked “hm maybe we just had a bad first impression” you nodded again.
“I’m Logan.” He introduced, you blinked as if waiting for something “…right can’t talk…I’ll ask professor X later.” He muttered to himself.
You slowly walked up to him slowly, grabbing his hand you examined it “what are you doing?” He asked, you looked at his hand pressing your thumb into his knuckles.
He realized you were trying to see his blades. He slowly slid his blades out you held your hand up growing your nails longer, he retracted his blades and you did the same. He slid out one claw, you copied him and grew out your middle nail.
You copied him carefully maybe he wasn’t as bad as you thought.

— Annoying Serenading
remus lupin x reader
the marauders x platonic!reader
where James and Sirius decide to interrupt your precious time with Remus by serenading you both.
a/n: no warnings, just fluff, annoying Sirius and James, Peter done with their shit, and Remus being perfect. ( he’s an angry werewolf that’s also done with the two boys )
“Remus, can I borrow this when I’m done reading mine?” You asked the tall werewolf that was coming out of the shower with nothing but a towel over his slim scarred waist.
You had your eyes on Remus’s copy of Crime and Punishment. He had always preferred more intellectual books rather than your fantasy and romance novels.
Not that he judged you for it. He found it cute how you gushed over dragons and found it funny how you complained about the oblivious nature of the characters.
“course you can dovey,” he replied, rubbing a towel in his hair. “I thought you didn’t like books like that?” He asked turning to get dressed.
You sighed, putting the worn out book back on his nightstand and finally turning to him. “I don’t have an opinion on them and plus,” you pointed to him with a grin. “I’ve read Dorian Grey,” you shrugged.
Remus turned to you with a pointed look, now wearing his pants. “You said it was boring and that they used the word ‘languidly’ too much.”
You shook your head, “no, I don’t recall ever.. really.. saying that so,” you trailed off as he seemed to be looking for something.
“You must be wrong, the hell are you looking for memus?” You asked leaning off the bed and gazing down at him as he looked under his bed.
His voice was strained as he answered, “my red shirt,” he sat up to his knees and faced you. “Y’know the one with the little hole by the neck.” He gestured.
You let out a small ‘oh’ and turned to lay on your stomach, head resting on your arms and feet gently kicking in the air.
“Y’know you don’t really neeed a shirt.”
Remus leaned forward and rested his arms on the bed, leaning his face forward with a small grin. “How many times have I told you to stop taking my clothes if you're not going to give them back?”
A sheepish smile crossed your face, “as many times as you told me not to call you memus?”
“You’re wearing one now!” He pointed out with a laugh.
He stood up with a groan at his bad knees, “why do you insist on calling me that anyway?”
“I don’t know, it’s funny seeing you get annoyed by it.”
He nodded as if he was taking in your answer. “Y’know what I find rather funny?”
He crawled on the bed and you fell back as he climbed over you and started pressing chaste kissed on your neck.
“What?” You asked breathlessly, preparing yourself for more.
“This!” He tickled your sides earning a shriek of laughter from you.
“No! Stop!” You cackled maniacally as he held your legs down with his and dodged your arms that were trying to get his hands off.
“Call me my name!” He shouted and he paused momentarily to hear you.
“Memus,” you giggled, only for him to tickle you with new found enthusiasm.
Remus smiled widely and let out small laughs, contrary to your loud laughs.
“Ok ok! Remus!” You rested your hands on his bare chest and he stopped his tickling as you attempted to catch your breath.
You gazed up at him, small laughs still escaping the both of you as you stared into his pretty eyes and brought one of your hands up to trace his scar.
Remus suddenly shot forward and kissed you with such force and passion that it made you dizzy.
Your lips molded with his, his big hands went up your his shirt, and your hands busied themselves in his damp hair as his tounge fought for dominance that you easily gave into.
His large frame then nestled comfortably in between your thighs and he started moving his hips slightly, crotch rubbing into yours and unbuttoned jeans falling down.
“Merlin, you’re perfect.” He rasped.
Remus started trailing kissed down your neck, leaving darkening hickies in his wake and started sucking one under your jaw.
A small moan came from you as his grinding got progressively rougher. “Remus.”
His hands moved from your waist to grab your hands, pinning them down, kissing you— “Carry on, my wayward son!”
You both parted confused, breathing heavily at the dim sound of a radio progressively getting louder.
There'll be peace when you are done. Lay your weary head to rest.
Remus groaned in realization, letting out a loud ‘no’ and dropping his weight on top of you, burying his face into your chest.
“Don’t you cry no more!”
The door slammed open and Sirius and James sauntered into the room. Sirius playing the air guitar and James holding a large muggle radio, and Peter following, looking pissed.
Rene’s lifted his head and one of his long arms. “No! James, Sirius, get out!”
He earned no reply and you leaned to remus’s nightstand from under him and got him one of his shirts, knowing that although the boys would never judge him, he was never fully comfortable being shirtless around them.
“They’ve been at it all bloody day!” Peter snarled as Remus got off you and put on a shirt, simultaneously shouting something incoherent to the loud boys and making sure you were properly covered.
“Ahhh ahhh,” Sirius slowly rose on his bed, “Once I rose above the noise and confusion!” He sang with his arms held out at his sides on top of his bed.
James pointed to him, “Just to get a glimpse beyond this illusion.”
The whole thing was very dramatic as the two looked like star crossed lovers.
“Pete, can you please get them out?” You asked sitting up and Remus threw himself backwards on the bed.
The blonde boy shook his head, “no, no! I’ve had to deal with that—” he pointed to the duo that now stood on Sirius’s bed together.
“Though my eyes could see, I still was a blind man,” the two stood holding hands with one arm still outstretched and facing you and Remus, serenading the both of you.
“All fucking day, it’s your turn!” He yelled and threw himself back on the bed with crossed arms as the two other boys jumped off the bed.
“I could hear them say, Carry on, my wayward son!” They belted out loudly.
There'll be peace when you are done
Lay your weary head to rest
Don't you cry no more
James decided to play air drums and Sirius chose the air guitar again.
“Stop it! James, Sirius! Get the fuck out!” Remus yelled gesturing to the door as you let out a breath and decided to lay back down.
Yeah, you and Remus were not continuing your activities.
Peter shook his head at the werewolf, “No, No!” He brought a rock sign with his fingers. “Rock on!”
Remus groaned loudly, “Peter, don’t encourage them! Are you bloody mad?”
Peter crawled to his knees, eyes wide, looking every bit like a mad man,“after being serenaded this morning with Gloria Gaynor’s ‘I Will Survive,’ yes! Yes! I’ve gone bloody mad!”
You let out a loud laugh at that, knowing Remus slept over at your dorm the night before.
And if I claim to be a wise man, well
It surely means that I don't know
You decided to sing along earning another loud grumble from Remus. Damn them, he thought knowing that your activities would not be happening.
“But I hear the voices say,” you sang along with the two boys, James bobbing his head with yours.
“Carry on, my wayward son!” You all belted out and Peter sat back with a satisfied hum as he had successfully ruined Remus’s fun time, and slipped on some headphones to try and block out the noise.
Remus watched you three with a wicked scowl plastered on his pretty face. As you three pointed at each other with wide smiles.
“Don't you cry no more, no!” You all played air guitar this time and Remus could hear you imitate the guitar with your voice.
He finally let out a small exasperated chuckle with a shake of his head as James kneeled in front of you and played air piano with his curls a crazy mess.

Introducing myself,I am Nina or weewoo, self proclaimed platonic asker!!
I saw your requests for X-Men were open,so i jumped right in,as it's my current hyperfixation!! So here it is:
Could i pretty please have Wolverine,Scott,Jean,Kurt,Ororo,Remy,Anne-Marie,Hank,Kevin,Lucas,Charles and Erik with a Child!Gn!Reader (if you don't want to write a child!reader,an adult reader is fine!) that's literally a ball of sunshine, always being positive and able to light up a room, always being clingy- but after a really bad mission/day,they just- dim? They become a hollow version of themselves, becoming scared, silent and depressing, distancing themselves from the others and overall just being the opposite of what they were? And the X-men are just trying their best to cheer them back up and are just so relieved to see them slowly go back to normal? Just a little hurt/comfort :3
Anyways i hope you enjoy writing this ask!
Feel free to tweak it (if you don't write for certain characters,If you want to write for more/other characters etc..)!!
Don't forget to eat, drink and have breaks!
Stay Proud,

Hello, Nina! What a lovely message you left me here ♡ It made my day. And this is the first time I've been asked for "obscure" characters and I'm so happy, I hope you like my take on them. As I said, I've read almost all of the X-Men comics, so don't be afraid to ask me your "obscure" character, I will gladly make them. And same, I think everyone has noticed that X-Men comics are my hyperfixation. Hope you like it ♡ — Love, Marie, your friendly marvel fangirl
Scott Summers (Cyclops)
- Scott Summers has always been a strong, dependable presence in your life. You’ve always looked up to him, not just because of his leadership but because of the way he’s always made you feel safe. You’re the bright, cheerful kid who lights up the room when you walk in, and you’ve always been attached to Scott. He treats you like his own, encouraging your optimism, even when things get tough. You’re constantly clinging to him, whether it’s holding his hand or sitting next to him during training sessions.
- But after a particularly bad mission, something inside you changes. You’d witnessed something you shouldn’t have, something that shook your sense of safety and security. For the first time, you were scared. You pulled away from Scott, stopped seeking his comforting presence. You became a hollow version of yourself, quiet and withdrawn. Scott noticed immediately, his heart breaking every time he saw the light in your eyes dimmed. He tried talking to you, but you brushed him off, not wanting to burden him with your fears.
- Scott wasn’t about to give up on you. He knew what it was like to carry fear and trauma, and he wasn’t going to let you go through it alone. He’d sit beside you quietly, offering a hand that you didn’t take, but he never pressured you. He’d talk about his own struggles when he was younger, hoping that sharing his experiences would help you feel less alone. Slowly, he started to break through the walls you’d built around yourself. Little by little, you began to open up again, but it was a slow process.
- The turning point came one day when Scott took you out to the training field. He didn’t ask you to train or talk; he just stood with you in the quiet. After a long silence, you finally spoke up, telling him about the fear you’d been carrying. Scott listened intently, reassuring you that it was okay to be scared but that you didn’t have to carry it alone. His steady presence, the way he never wavered, slowly helped you regain your confidence. Over time, you started clinging to him again, your light slowly returning.
- Scott’s relief was palpable when he saw you smile for the first time in what felt like forever. He never stopped watching out for you, always ready to offer a hand or a kind word when you needed it. He knew that you’d never be the same as you were before, but he also knew that you were stronger for it. And he’d always be there, a guiding presence, whenever you needed him.
Logan Howlett (Wolverine)
- Logan wasn’t exactly the warmest or most outwardly affectionate person, but somehow, you managed to break through his tough exterior. From the moment you arrived at the mansion, you’d latched onto him, following him around like a little shadow. You were this bright, positive ball of energy, always finding the silver lining in any situation. Logan would grumble about you being clingy, but deep down, he didn’t mind. In fact, he found himself getting used to your constant presence, and it brought a rare smile to his face.
- Then, one day, after a brutal mission, everything changed. Something happened out there—something that left you shaken to your core. You came back to the mansion a different person, quiet and distant, a shadow of the child you once were. You stopped seeking out Logan, stopped clinging to his side. You barely spoke, and when you did, it was just to say you were fine, even though Logan knew you weren’t. It was hard for him to see you like that, and it tore him apart inside.
- Logan didn’t know how to handle it at first. He wasn’t good with feelings, and he didn’t want to push you, but seeing you so hollow hurt him more than he’d care to admit. He’d sit outside your room sometimes, just to be close to you, hoping you’d open the door. He tried to give you space but also wanted you to know that he was there. One day, after you’d been sitting alone for hours, Logan finally came into your room without a word, sat down beside you, and just waited. You didn’t speak, but his presence was comforting, like an anchor in a storm.
- Slowly, Logan started taking you out on little trips—nothing fancy, just walks in the woods or quiet moments by the lake. He knew the outdoors had always helped him clear his head, and he hoped it would do the same for you. It took a while, but you eventually started talking again, first in short sentences, then longer conversations. You told Logan about the fear you couldn’t shake, about how the mission had changed how you saw the world. Logan listened, not offering advice, just being there for you.
- Over time, you started to come back to yourself. You clung to Logan again, and even though he grumbled about it, he didn’t push you away. The first time you laughed after the incident, Logan let out a relieved breath he didn’t know he was holding. He wasn’t the best at showing emotion, but you knew he cared. And in his own gruff way, Logan made sure you knew that no matter what, he’d always be there for you, protecting you from the world—and sometimes, from yourself.
Jean Grey (Phoenix)
- Jean Grey was the one you always went to when you needed comfort. She was warm, nurturing, and could always make you feel safe, no matter what was going on around you. You adored her, always hanging around her, basking in her presence like a little ray of sunshine. She never minded how clingy you were—in fact, she found it endearing. You were her little bright spot in a world that often felt heavy, and she cherished every moment with you.
- But one day, after a particularly intense mission, everything changed. Something happened out there—something that shook you to your core. When you came back, the light in you had dimmed. You didn’t seek out Jean like you usually did. You didn’t smile or talk as much, and when you did, it was clear that you were trying to hide your fear and sadness. Jean noticed immediately and was heartbroken to see you so withdrawn.
- Jean didn’t push you, but she made sure you knew she was there. She’d gently knock on your door, leaving little notes or snacks she knew you liked. She’d find subtle ways to be around you, like sitting quietly in the same room while you read or worked on something. It was her way of reminding you that you weren’t alone, even if you didn’t want to talk about what had happened yet.
- One evening, Jean invited you to the rooftop garden, a place that had always been special to both of you. You hesitated at first, but eventually, you agreed. As you both sat under the stars, Jean spoke softly about her own struggles with fear and trauma, telling you stories of times when she felt the weight of the world on her shoulders. She wasn’t trying to make you feel better by comparing your pain to hers; she just wanted you to know that it was okay to be scared, that it was okay to feel overwhelmed.
- Slowly, with Jean’s gentle care and understanding, you began to open up again. It wasn’t an overnight change, but little by little, the light in you started to return. Jean was patient, never rushing you, always offering a kind word or a soft hug when you needed it. She was so relieved the day she saw you smile again—really smile, not just out of politeness. Jean knew you would never be exactly the same as you were before, but she was proud of how strong you’d become. And she promised herself that she’d always be there to help you find your light again, no matter how many times it dimmed.
Kurt Wagner (Nightcrawler)
- Kurt Wagner, with his kind heart and unwavering faith, had always been like a father figure to you. From the moment you arrived at Xavier’s, he took you under his wing. You, the ever-cheerful ball of sunshine, found his gentle nature comforting, and you admired his ability to remain positive despite everything he had gone through. You’d often cling to his side, your laughter echoing through the mansion as you teleported around with him or listened to his stories about his life in the circus.
- After a particularly difficult mission, however, everything changed. You had seen things that no child should ever witness—things that tore away at your innocence and light. You returned to the mansion quiet, no longer the beacon of joy you once were. You distanced yourself from Kurt, spending more time alone in your room, and when he tried to comfort you, you’d give him half-hearted smiles, pretending everything was fine. Kurt knew better, though. The light in your eyes had dimmed, and it broke his heart to see you retreating into yourself.
- Kurt, being as patient and understanding as ever, didn’t push you. He respected your space but never let you feel abandoned. He would often leave little drawings and notes for you to find, hoping to coax a smile out of you. One evening, as you sat alone in the chapel, lost in thought, Kurt quietly joined you. He didn’t say anything at first—he just sat beside you, offering his silent presence as comfort. Eventually, he began talking about his own struggles with darkness, reminding you that it was okay to feel scared and lost but that you didn’t have to go through it alone.
- Slowly but surely, Kurt’s unwavering kindness and gentle patience began to reach you. He never demanded that you return to your old self but instead encouraged you to take things one step at a time. He took you on small trips around the mansion, teleporting you to peaceful spots in the garden or the attic, where you could talk if you wanted or just sit in silence. With each little outing, you felt a small part of yourself begin to heal, the weight of what you’d seen slowly lifting.
- The first time you laughed again in Kurt’s presence, he nearly cried with relief. It wasn’t the carefree laugh he was used to, but it was a start. Over time, you began to cling to him again, seeking his presence when you needed comfort, and while you weren’t the same person you were before, you were stronger. Kurt made sure to remind you every day that no matter what, he would always be there for you, a guiding light in the darkness whenever you needed him.
Ororo Munroe (Storm)
- Ororo Munroe, with her serene presence and deep connection to nature, had always been like a mother to you. You admired her strength, her compassion, and the way she carried herself with grace despite the storms she had weathered in life. You, with your bright personality and endless energy, often found yourself attached to Ororo’s side, soaking up her wisdom and calm demeanor. She adored your optimism and always took the time to nurture your cheerful spirit.
- But after a harrowing mission that rattled you to your core, the light inside you dimmed. You had witnessed something that no child should ever see, and it changed you. You became quiet, withdrawn, and stopped seeking Ororo’s calming presence like you once did. You no longer smiled or laughed as you once had, and Ororo could see the pain in your eyes. She didn’t push you, but the change in you weighed heavily on her heart. She knew something was wrong, but she waited for you to come to her when you were ready.
- Ororo, with her natural maternal instincts, made sure you never felt alone, even as you distanced yourself. She would leave flowers by your bedside, small tokens of beauty and life, hoping to lift your spirits. One afternoon, when you were particularly down, she invited you to the greenhouse, knowing how much you had always loved spending time with the plants. At first, you were hesitant, but Ororo’s gentle encouragement convinced you to go. The peaceful atmosphere and Ororo’s quiet presence made it easier for you to open up, and little by little, you began to talk about what was troubling you.
- Ororo listened with endless patience as you finally shared your fears and the things that haunted you. She didn’t try to force positivity on you; instead, she acknowledged your pain and assured you that it was okay to feel the way you did. She reminded you that even the sun needs time to rise after a storm and that, like nature, you would heal at your own pace. Her words comforted you more than anything, and you found solace in her gentle wisdom.
- Slowly, over time, you began to recover. Ororo took you on small walks through the gardens, showing you how the flowers bloomed even after the harshest winters. Her presence was a constant source of comfort, and she never left your side, encouraging you to take things one day at a time. The first time you smiled again, Ororo felt a wave of relief wash over her. You were healing, and while you weren’t the same child you were before, you had grown stronger. Ororo made sure to remind you every day that, like the weather, you could weather any storm with time and support.
Remy LeBeau (Gambit)
- Remy LeBeau, with his smooth charm and playful nature, was someone you had always looked up to. He treated you like his little shadow, always making time for your endless energy and positivity. You adored him, clinging to his side during missions or downtime, laughing at his jokes even when they weren’t that funny. Remy loved the light you brought into his life, and he always made sure to keep that spark alive, teaching you card tricks and letting you tag along on adventures.
- But after a mission gone wrong, the light in you dimmed. You had seen something that no child should have to witness, and it shook you to your core. When you returned to the mansion, you were no longer the bright, bubbly child you had been. You avoided Remy, retreating into yourself and becoming a quiet, hollow version of who you once were. Remy noticed immediately, and it worried him deeply. He tried to coax you out of your shell with jokes and games, but nothing seemed to work.
- Remy wasn’t the type to give up easily, though. He knew you were hurting, and while he didn’t want to push you, he also didn’t want to let you carry that burden alone. He started leaving little notes and gifts in your room, hoping to make you smile. One day, when you were sitting alone in the mansion’s common room, Remy sat down beside you, quietly shuffling his deck of cards. He didn’t say anything, just sat with you, offering his silent presence. Slowly, the two of you began to talk, and Remy listened as you finally opened up about what had been bothering you.
- Remy was patient as you worked through your feelings, never once rushing you to be “your old self” again. He shared stories of his own troubled past, reminding you that even the brightest lights can flicker sometimes. He encouraged you to take things one day at a time and reassured you that it was okay to feel sad and scared. With Remy’s gentle guidance, you began to feel a little more like yourself each day.
- The first time you laughed at one of Remy’s jokes again, he felt a wave of relief wash over him. It wasn’t the carefree laugh he was used to, but it was a start. Slowly but surely, you began to cling to him again, seeking out his presence for comfort. While you weren’t the same child you were before, you were stronger, and Remy made sure you knew that no matter what, he would always be there to help you find your way back to the light.
Rogue (Anna Marie)
- Rogue had always been your big sister figure, and you admired her so much. She had her own struggles with her powers, but you never once saw her let it dampen her spirit. Her tough love and protective nature made you feel safe, and your bright and bubbly personality often drew her into fits of laughter when the two of you hung out. She’d ruffle your hair and joke about how you could probably light up the whole mansion with your smile. Rogue was always there for you, and you adored her for it.
- One day, after a mission that went horribly wrong, you returned to the mansion feeling completely shattered. You had seen something that no child should ever have to see, and it left you feeling broken inside. Your once vibrant and clingy self faded into the background, and you withdrew from everyone, even Rogue. You avoided her, choosing instead to lock yourself away in your room, barely eating or speaking to anyone. Rogue knew something was wrong, and it broke her heart to see you retreat into yourself.
- Rogue wasn’t the type to let anyone suffer alone, though, especially not someone as close to her as you. She tried giving you space at first, but when it became clear that you weren’t coming to her, she decided to come to you. She knocked softly on your door one afternoon, waiting for you to let her in. When you didn’t respond, she simply sat outside your room and began talking to you, her voice gentle and filled with care. She didn’t push you to open up right away, but she reminded you that she was there, whenever you were ready.
- It took a while, but eventually, you came out of your room and found Rogue sitting on the porch, watching the sunset. You sat beside her quietly, and for a long time, neither of you said anything. Then, with a shaky voice, you started to tell her about what had happened during the mission, how it had affected you, and how you didn’t know how to deal with it. Rogue listened intently, her usual sass replaced with a quiet understanding. She wrapped an arm around you, careful with her touch, and pulled you close. “You ain’t gotta deal with it alone, sugar,” she said softly. “I’m here, and I ain’t goin’ anywhere.”
- Rogue didn’t expect you to bounce back overnight, but she made sure you knew she had your back. She’d drag you out of bed on particularly bad days, forcing you to come on walks with her or just sit in the sun. Slowly but surely, you started to feel a little more like yourself. The first time you cracked a joke, Rogue’s grin was so wide it made your heart swell. You weren’t completely back to your old self, but Rogue never rushed you. She was just happy to see that spark returning, even if it took time. You knew with Rogue by your side, you’d find your way back to the light.
Hank McCoy (Beast)
- Hank McCoy was a father figure to you in every sense of the word. His intelligence, kindness, and calm demeanor made you feel safe, and you always loved spending time in his lab, watching him work. Your bubbly and energetic personality balanced out his more serious side, and he often said you were like a ray of sunshine that could brighten even the darkest of days. You adored him, following him around and asking endless questions about science and the world, to which he would always give thoughtful and detailed answers.
- But after a traumatic mission that left you shaken, your once-bright personality faded. The light inside you dimmed, and you found yourself retreating into the shadows. You stopped visiting Hank in his lab, stopped asking him questions, and started spending more time alone, lost in your own thoughts. You didn’t want to burden him with your problems, so you kept everything inside, but Hank noticed immediately. It hurt him to see you withdraw, and he knew something was wrong.
- Hank, ever the patient and understanding mentor, gave you space but never let you feel alone. He would leave small notes in the places he knew you frequented, little reminders that he was there if you needed him. One day, when you hadn’t come to the lab in weeks, he knocked on your door. You were curled up in bed, barely acknowledging his presence. He sat down beside you, his large, gentle hand resting on your shoulder. “You don’t have to talk if you’re not ready,” he said quietly. “But know that I’m here, always.”
- Eventually, you did open up to him, telling him about the horrors you had witnessed during the mission and how it had changed you. Hank listened with the utmost care, his heart aching for you. He didn’t try to fix everything right away, but instead, he reminded you that it was okay to feel lost and scared. He shared his own struggles with you, times when he had felt out of control or burdened by his powers. His empathy and understanding helped you feel less alone, and little by little, you started to find your way back to yourself.
- Hank knew it would take time for you to fully recover, but he was endlessly patient. He’d invite you to the lab again, not to work but just to be in each other’s company, and he would leave little experiments for you to do whenever you felt ready. The first time you smiled while working on a project, Hank felt an immense sense of relief. You were healing, and while you might not be the same child you were before, Hank was proud of your strength. He made sure you knew that no matter what, he would always be there for you, guiding you back to the light whenever you needed it.
Kevin MacTaggert (Proteus)
- Kevin MacTaggert, or Proteus, was a complicated figure in your life. Despite his dark history and unstable powers, there was a part of him that cared deeply for you. You, with your infectious positivity and boundless energy, had managed to form a bond with him, one that even he didn’t fully understand. You saw the good in him, even when he couldn’t see it in himself. Kevin often kept his distance from others, but with you, he allowed himself to be a little softer, a little more vulnerable. You clung to him, always finding ways to make him smile, even if it was just for a brief moment.
- But after witnessing something truly horrifying during a mission, you changed. The light inside you dimmed, and you no longer sought out Kevin’s presence like you used to. You became quiet, withdrawn, and scared. Kevin, who had always been sensitive to the emotions of those around him, noticed the shift immediately. It unsettled him to see you like this, and he didn’t know how to handle it at first. He wasn’t used to caring for others, but seeing you suffer made him feel something unfamiliar—concern.
- Kevin wasn’t the type to offer comfort easily, but he couldn’t just stand by and do nothing. He sought you out one day, finding you sitting alone in the mansion’s courtyard. He didn’t say much at first, just sat beside you, his presence enough to let you know he was there. After a while, he quietly asked what had happened, and for the first time since the mission, you opened up about the trauma you had experienced. Kevin listened intently, his usual sharp demeanor replaced with quiet understanding.
- He didn’t know how to fix what you were feeling, but he knew he didn’t want to see you in pain. Kevin began spending more time with you, trying to coax you back to your old self in his own way. He wasn’t great at emotional support, but he’d distract you with stories or small adventures around the mansion. You slowly began to open up again, and while Kevin wasn’t the warmest figure in your life, his presence was comforting. He didn’t push you to be happy, but he made sure you knew he was there, in his own quiet, protective way.
- Over time, you started to feel a little more like yourself. You weren’t the same child you were before, but you had grown stronger. Kevin, in his own way, had helped you heal, and you could see that even he had changed a little, softening around the edges. The first time you smiled again, Kevin gave a rare, genuine smile of his own. You were healing, and though the journey was long, you knew that with Kevin’s quiet support, you’d find your way back to the light.
Charles Xavier (Professor X)
- Charles Xavier had always been a guiding figure in your life. He was more than just the head of the school; he was like a father to you, someone you could look up to and trust. Your boundless positivity and energy were a constant source of joy for him, and he often said that your presence alone could brighten his day, even when things were difficult. You clung to Charles, always seeking his advice or simply spending time with him, knowing that he understood you in ways few others could.
- But after a particularly harrowing mission, something inside you broke. You weren’t your usual self, no longer the bright and happy child everyone knew. The trauma of what you had seen had dimmed your light, and you withdrew from everyone, including Charles. You stopped seeking his guidance, and instead, you stayed silent, choosing to avoid him altogether. It pained him to see you like this, but he respected your space, understanding that healing took time.
- Charles didn’t push you to open up, but he was always there, silently offering his support. His telepathic abilities allowed him to sense the depth of your pain, but he never intruded on your thoughts. He waited patiently, hoping that one day, you would come to him when you were ready. In the meantime, he left small reminders around the mansion—a favorite book, a handwritten note—letting you know that he hadn’t forgotten about you.
- It wasn’t until you broke down one evening, unable to contain the weight of your emotions any longer, that you finally came to him. You found Charles sitting in his study, and without saying a word, you collapsed into his arms, tears streaming down your face. He held you gently, his presence calm and reassuring. He didn’t ask for an explanation, knowing that you would speak when you were ready. “I’m here, always,” he whispered, his voice steady and full of compassion.
- Over the next few weeks, Charles made it his mission to help you heal, guiding you through meditation and mindfulness techniques that would allow you to process your trauma. He never rushed you, never expected you to be your old self right away. Slowly, you began to come out of your shell again, finding comfort in his wisdom and kindness. The first time you laughed again, Charles smiled, his heart swelling with relief. You weren’t fully back to your sunny self, but with Charles by your side, you knew you would find your way back to the light, in time.
Erik Lehnsherr (Magneto)
- Erik Lehnsherr wasn’t the warmest of mentors, but he had always taken a special interest in you. There was something about your bright personality that intrigued him, something about the way you could remain so positive in a world that was often so cruel. You admired Erik for his strength and conviction, and despite his often stern demeanor, you knew he cared about you deeply. He was like a father to you, though he’d never say it out loud. You often joked that you were the sunshine to his storm, a balance of opposites that somehow worked.
- After a mission that went horribly wrong, you weren’t the same. The bright, bubbly child that had once brought so much light into Erik’s life was gone, replaced by someone who was quiet, withdrawn, and afraid. You couldn’t shake the horrors you had witnessed, and you distanced yourself from everyone, including Erik. You stopped seeking him out, choosing instead to hide away, not wanting to burden him with your pain. Erik, however, noticed immediately. He wasn’t the most emotionally expressive man, but it hurt him to see you suffering in silence.
- Erik didn’t push you to talk about what had happened, but he kept a close eye on you, watching from a distance. He understood trauma in ways that most couldn’t, and while he respected your need for space, he also knew that you couldn’t go through this alone. One evening, he found you sitting by the window, staring out at the night sky, lost in your thoughts. Without a word, he sat beside you, the silence between you heavy but comforting in its own way.
- After a long stretch of quiet, you finally opened up to Erik, telling him about the mission and how it had changed you. Erik listened carefully, his usual sharpness replaced with a rare gentleness. He didn’t offer you platitudes or try to diminish your pain. Instead, he shared his own experiences, his own struggles with the darkness that often consumed him. “We all have our demons,” he said quietly. “But you don’t have to face them alone.”
- Erik’s approach to helping you heal was different from others. He didn’t coddle you, but he was always there, offering his strength when you needed it. Slowly, with his guidance, you began to find your way back to yourself. The first time you smiled again, Erik gave a small, almost imperceptible smile of his own. You weren’t completely back to the bright, sunny child you had been before, but with Erik by your side, you knew you’d find your way back to the light, even if it took time.
Lucas Bishop
- Bishop had always been more of a protector than anything else. He admired your optimism and saw in you a kind of light that was rare in his world of war and survival. To him, you were a reminder of the peace he fought so hard to protect, and despite his often stoic nature, he grew deeply attached to you. You, in turn, saw Bishop as a big brother, someone who would always keep you safe, no matter what. You often followed him around, your endless curiosity and bright energy a stark contrast to his serious demeanor.
- But after a particularly brutal mission, everything changed. You weren’t the same bright and positive child that had once been a beacon of light in Bishop’s life. The trauma of what you had witnessed left you hollow, and you withdrew into yourself, barely speaking or acknowledging anyone. You stopped following Bishop around, stopped asking him questions, and instead, you stayed in your room, avoiding everyone. Bishop noticed immediately and, while he respected your space, it tore him apart to see you like this.
- Bishop wasn’t one to talk about emotions, but he wasn’t going to let you suffer in silence either. He didn’t force you to talk about what had happened, but he made sure you knew he was there, whenever you were ready. One evening, he found you sitting alone in the mansion’s training room, staring blankly at the ground. Without saying a word, he sat down beside you, his presence steady and reassuring. You didn’t speak at first, but eventually, the silence between you became too much to bear, and you began to tell him about the mission, about how it had changed you.
- Bishop listened with the same intensity he brought to every mission, his focus entirely on you. When you finished, he didn’t try to fix things or offer you easy solutions. Instead, he put a hand on your shoulder and said, “You’re not alone in this. I’ve been through it too, and I’m here for you.” His words, simple as they were, carried a weight that made you feel less alone. Bishop had seen horrors too, and knowing that he understood made it easier for you to start healing.
- Over the next few weeks, Bishop kept a close eye on you, making sure you didn’t retreat too far into yourself. He didn’t push you to be your old self right away, but he did encourage you to get back into a routine, to start training again, even if it was just for a few minutes a day. Slowly, you began to regain your strength, and while you weren’t the same bright child you had been before, you felt a little more like yourself each day. The first time you cracked a joke in Bishop’s presence, he gave a rare smile, a small but significant sign that you were on your way back to the light.

🖤Dark AU, Post Two, Same As It Never Was:
(Warning: This fic contains medical trauma and depictions of wounds and scarring, drugging and sedation, darker themes and implications, mentioned and implied death, and features darker platonic yandere content! You have been warned...)
• It was hard to believe they were back after all this time.
• The flight back home is abuzz with unspoken questions, careful touches checking for pulses, and the steady, hopeful feeling they haven't felt in years. They never thought they'd see their friends and kids again. Yet there they were, calling them in the dead of night from a payphone, then waiting for them to arrive, hidden away... And here they are now, passed out in their arms, their faces peaceful in a way they never thought appreciated in full in the past.
• Magneto holds Pietro, stroking back his hair and holding him close, Wanda checking his pulse and frowning deeply at the scar above his eye, at the dried specks of black and red flecked across his face. The speedster is unusually still, too deep under to stir as his father and sister watch over him. His legs show deep bruises, as though something had hit them, hard... Mystique murmurs to Kurt, rocking back and forth lightly in her seat as Rogue whispers small promises to him. The fuzzy blue teen is limp, not even his tail wiggling or wrapping around their wrists or legs for comfort. The discolored flesh of the scar across his throat is stark compared to his fur, and so too is the dark black-brown staining his shirt... Kitty is beside them, held by Scott, Logan sitting across from them, rubbing her back, and both trying not cry or stiffen when they see the hole in her blouse, nor when they feel the dark, sticky stain around it. Her head is tucked into the crook between Scott's neck and shoulder, his arms hugged tight around her like she might disappear. Logan's free hand is grasping her's, while curled into him is...
• Reader... Their face is too still, their shirt useless to hide or stop the bloody gash in their abdomen. There's dried blood in their hair and across the old worn lab coat pressed against them, dark reminders of what happened. Their arms are scarred, flecked in smears of brownish-red, the wound on their head is still damp, their breathing flutters lightly, as though they're still in pain, even in their sleep... Logan keeps his free arm wrapped around them, pulling them into his chest and stomach, keeping them where he can feel the beat of their heart and hear the rasps of their breathing...
• The tapes they'd all watched... Hours, days, weeks worth of footage, depicting what those scientists had done to their missing kids... Taking blood samples, scraping patches of skin off, collecting DNA and cells, taking bone marrow... not to mention all the extra ones done to Reader, or what seemed to be hours of torture, all meant to tear them down and leave them broken. The adults were barely able to watch the entirety of them, ending up having to watch them with one another just to make it through the upsetting footage. Scott had forced himself to watch the tapes, throwing up and crying when they went darker... Evan had tried, so had Jean, and Lance, even Laura... but in the end, all it left was a rotten pit in their stomachs, sending them searching for any of their friends or parents, wanting comfort, any form of it, to stave off the pain and agony and crushing weight of what they'd seen...
• But it would be better now. It is better now. Their friends, their kids, their siblings, are back with them, they're alive, and they won't be hurt ever again. The jet rumbles as it lands, the panels of the ceiling closing above it and sealing it safely into the mansion. The group is careful, maneuvering their wounded ones so they're held tightly, cradled to them as they exit the Blackbird, working their way into the halls and corridors of the mansion, into the medbay... They end up deciding to keep the kids to two larger room, with cots and medical beds ready and waiting as they're set down. Pietro is set up in the first room, his legs wrapped up carefully, an IV inserted into the crook of his arm, supplying much-needed liquids and medicine. His head is checked for any damage or concussion, the blood wiped up and the scar sanitized, any stitches needed added carefully, sealing shut the remains of the wound... In the same room is Kurt, attached to a monitor to alert the others if he teleports in his sleep. Bandages are wrapped around his throat, a coating of antibacterial cream underneath. Any leftover blood or dried ichor is wiped away, the fur and skin cleaned and smoothed down... Kitty is in the other room, a pillow propping her upper body up. Her wound is inspected, swabbed and sterilized and stitched closed, then bandages are wrapped around the area, a few gauze pads added to soak up any small droplets of blood. Her arms are inspected, a dose of sedative given to help with any pain... Reader resides in the room as well... Their head was checked, the wound cleaned and wrapped in gauze... Their arms were looked over, any scratches or gouges wiped with anti-inflammatory and antibacterial medicine, then wrapped up in thick bandages. The gash in their stomach was stitched up, a bit of blood given, and an IV was inserted, sending heavy drugs into their system to keep them asleep as they healed...
• They visited their children, their friends, their siblings. Magneto and Wanda hardly left him. Erik would sit there, keeping him silent company, occasionally holding his son's hand between his own. Wanda would tell her brother how much she missed him, that things were changed now, she'd even read her books to him, her voice emotional. Lance and Todd and Fred would visit, usually in the early mornings or during the afternoon, telling him to get better fast, like he always used to do, saying they had so many new schemes and powers to show off when was back... Charles would roll in, resting beside Erik, encouraging Pietro to recover soon and that he had been missed each day. He'd check his mind, smoothing away any nightmares or fear, leaving calm and warm, quiet fuzz... Evan and Storm would stop by, late at night, Evan recounting old basketball games they'd played together, or field trips they'd gone on, even embarrassing moments the two had gone through together... Mystique and Sabretooth came by, quiet, wishing him well, saying their nephew would need to recover soon so he'd see all he missed with being gone... Scott and Jean would sit by him, saying that his dad and the Professor were together, making them siblings in a way... even Logan and Rogue would wander in, telling him he would make it, he'd beat whatever had been done to him...
• Mystique and Rogue were beside Kurt, telling him they'd missed him and how proud they were of him, how once he was awake they'd have so much to catch him up on... Logan and Sabretooth would wander in, patting his head and saying he'd always made them laugh... Ororo and Evan and Todd and Wanda would come in, cracking jokes and hoping Kurt heard them in his sleep... Xavier and Hank would read to him, comedies and some of his favorite books from when he had been with them... Magneto would read to him in German, speaking words of care and comfort... Scott and Jean would ask him to wake up soon, to wait a little longer, that it would be worth it... Gambit would pat his hand, saying he and Rogue had taken care of each other while he was gone...
• Logan and Ororo and Scott and Jean and Rogue would take turns watching over Kitty, stroking her hair and telling her they loved her and had missed her greatly, holding her hand in theirs... Xavier and Wanda and Magneto would recount her achievements and best test scores, reminding her how she was so smart... Evan and Lance would visit in the morning and at night, saying she was always a fun friend and that it wasn't the same without her... Laura curled her fingers in her's, frowning but holding it together... Gambit and Piotr would wander in, offering to talk and keep her company when the others were checking on her friends... Hank would teasingly say they'd work on cooking classes when she was up to it, offering a few new books to help...
• And they all took turns with Reader... Xavier and Magneto tended to take afternoon visits, trying to invoke peaceful thoughts in them as they rested, assuring them they had been brave... Logan and Sabretooth took late nights, keeping them company and promising they were wanted... Ororo and Storm took early mornings, thanking them for protecting the others... Hank made sure they received their doses of drugs and sedatives, saying he was glad they'd made it back to them... Scott would visit at odd hours, saying he'd misses them... Jean and Rogue thanked them for keeping Kurt and Kitty safe for as long as they could... Evan came in after his aunt, greeting them and thanking them for looking out for all of their friends, saying they had to wake up... Lance and Todd and Fred tended to sneak in and tell Reader they were glad they made it, how they appreciated them doing everyone a solid... Wanda read to them, reminding them they couldn't leave them, not when they'd only gotten them back... Gambit and Pyro and Piotr would come in, jokingly saying who else woukd they tease if Reader wasn't around...
• The next few days were filled with worry, hope, fear, and joy, all one mixed concoction of battling emotions, everyone trying to believe this was real...
• And then Pietro woke up, and they were all focused, making sure he was alright, keeping the scared boy company, making sure he ate, and soon checking his thoughts and asking questions about what had happened...
• The same happened when Kurt, then Kitty, awoke, Mystique and Rogue and Logan and Scott and Jean and Evan and Ororo hugging them, making sure the medicine and needles were in place, smiling softly and saying it had be so long, that they'd missed them all so much, how they were safe now... They felt bad that all three were scared, shaking, confused, trying to make sense of what had happened and trying to figure out if they were real, and if they were, why they were older...
• "Dad... Wanda... please, just tell me... what happened?" Pietro didn't whine, and he didn't beg, but at this point, he was close to it. "Son, do not worry about it. Everything is taken care of..." "Pietro, you're safe, there's nothing to fear..." He still wasn't convinced... Something was off with their family...
• "Mother! Please, I am fine! But vhy von't you tell me vhat has changed?" Kurt didn't want to worry anymore, but when his mother and sister would dodge his questions, he knew they and the others were hiding something... "You're here, and until Hank says you are well, you are staying here, my son..." "Kurt, it will be okay. You'll be out soon!" He didn't think things were as okay as everyone said they were...
• "Logan... Can't you tell me anything? Please?" Kitty didn't know how to feel about the adults and the others being older and acting so strange, but it made her shiver... "Half-pint, there's nothing to say. Now please relax, I don't want ya straining yerself..." She didn't like this one bit...
• And finally, a day or two after the others, Reader began to wake up... Their head felt fuzzy, soft, and their vision wobbled for a minute... but then they were waking up, groaning at the stiffness in their joints...
• "Sweetheart... We're so glad you're back... Welcome back, little one..."
• Reader somehow knew something was wrong, and it seemed that their and their friends' troubles had only increased...

— Various x-men characters, with a queer ! reader
— characters ; Scott Summers. Jean Grey. Logan Howlett. Rogue.
— warning ; Reader is implied to be at the very least multisexual in general BUT it's very vague - reader is just not straight. Can be platonic or romantic depend. Include a 'when you come out to them section' but it's also just general headcanons. I included my personal hc about their sexuality. No one is homophobic or anything !
— note ; i said i'd something for pride and poof, there ( yes ... it's the 29th but better late than never! ), yes i do headcanons most xmen characters as multisexual, i wrote this at 3am so if some part doesn't make sense and all sorry
– Scott Summers.
Now, Scott is bisexual himself (with a little bit of self internalised homophobia) so he'd be very, chill, of course with you being queer. But he sometimes do say stuff that make your eyebrow raise, he isn't exactly the most informed, but he is still very respectful, just a bit clumsy. If you try to correct him on something he said and - or - 'correct' him, he will listen and keep that in mind.
Scott could be the type to start being more inclusive in his language once he knows, like he will say 'partner' or 'spouse' when asking you about your relationship. Or not ask about them at all ( if you aromantic for example ).
He probably accidentally out-ed you at some point, he doesn't think twice and just say what's he thought. He will very much apologize for that, and after the first time it never happens again.
When you come out to him, he gives you a simple 'okay, that neat' and a thumb-up. If you use a label/term he doesn't know, he may ask you about it but probably later, like a day or two, he'll come up to you and ask you 'hey, by the way, what does [label] means ?'.
– Jean Grey
Jean Grey, like Scott, is very chill about it. Sure, she doesn't know much about the community and she only knows the 'basic' terminology, but she still very much support you.
If you need to vent about issues related to your sexuality, she will be there, her arms are wild open for you and she has always a box of tissues on hand. She may not get everything, but she'll try to help you as much as she can, by simply comforting you or by trying to give you advice ( not necessary about the problem in itself, but about how to cope around it ).
Jean is absolutely the type to accompany you to pride, if you want her to of course, she is kinda like those straight mothers that accompany their kid to pride !
When you come out to her, she is the sweetest, she'll listen to you and assure you that it change's nothing to her.
– Logan Howlett
He doesn't gives a fuck, the man has seen all type of people thru the years, it's normal and he obviously accept anyone no matter their sexuality or genders but he just doesn't care that much ( my personal headcanon is that Logan is pan but let's be honest, he himself doesn't give a fuck about his sexuality ).
Logan probably goes to the pride parade once in while, depending on the city he in currently, and he'll probably accept to go with you to them - if it's your first, he'll try to keep you in sigh but if not and that you can be left alone and be okay, he will 'abandon' you and you'll only see him when it's time to leave.
When you come out to him, he looks at you and just drop a 'ok', he may add a 'thanks for telling me ?' if you are visibly confused by his answer.
– Rogue
She'd be very happy knowing you are queer too ! ( again personal headcanon that she is bisexual ) She thinks it's nice to have a friend whose also part of the community and if you are newer to it and the terminology, she'll try to teach you about them as best as she can.
If anyone is a bigot to you about your sexuality, Rogue will be there to comfort you about it and, maybe, perhaps, try to fight the person.
When you come out to you, she will be very happy that you have enough trust in her to tell her, she'll probably give you a big hug before asking you question about it ( like 'when did you know ??' but not in the intrusive weird way )

Hi Alex I hope you're doing alright:) can you do platonic headcanons for Kurt Wagner X genderfluid mutant reader who can bend metal. . ( reader is friendly, smart & introverted ) , I'd appreciate if you include the coming out part
That's it, thank you:)<3
A/N Ahhh platonic headcanons. I always end up writing fics instead of the headcanons but I hope you like this anon! I always love writing for Kurt, that boy has a special place in my heart <3
Trinkets
Tags: Kurt Wagner and Reader, Platonic relationship, Betfriends, XMCU fanfic, Pietro Maximoff, Scott Summers, Jean Grey, Jubilation Lee, Mention of Cherik, Introverted reader, Kurt our fav blue boy, Everyone is gay, probably, definitely, growing relationship, headcanons, coming out
A little Headcanon and story of how you and Kurt became best friends.
Kurt was your tour guide when you first arrived
When Kurt heard about your mutation, he becomes very interested to learn about you (because the only other mutant who can bend metal is the Professors husband and he’s arguably scarier)
Definitely fascinated by Kurt's power and physique in general, gushing about his sharp tail and sharp nails
Both you and Kurt were a bit of a stuttering mess with each other's fascination, but eventually laughed it off as you got closer
Once comfortable in the university, you gravitate towards Kurt most of the time, hanging out with him and his group, mostly with Jubilee, Pietro, Jean, and Scott.
The group calls you the ‘Less Scary Magneto’ and has adopted you into the extroverted group, their 2nd introvert.
Joined Pietro on pulling a prank on Logan, ended up failing, Kurt saved you but couldn’t save Pietro
Never joining Pietro on a prank again unless Kurt joins too
Was so happy when your room is across the half from Kurts, and just a couple of rooms from the others
Saturday nights at Jubilee’s room, hanging out and just unwinding from the busy study week
Paints Kurt's nails with any colors he wants (Kurt does the same for you)
Makes the group little metal jewelry, bracelets, and rings
Sometimes leaves little metal trinkets around Kurt's room
If Kurt comes over to you and asks if you intentionally left something in his room, you’ll just give it to Kurt as a gift
Kurt has a jar full of said trinkets
Definitely do study sessions with Kurt and Jean, sometimes the other three would join.
You once mended a metal seat into the ground to keep Pietro in place because he needed to study for finals. The others laughed when obviously didn't work. You gave up since you can't waste metal chairs.
Spends most of the afternoon in the library with Kurt, reading a lot of books and helping Kurt with any English words he might not be familiar with
Has a favorite part of the library where anyone can guarantee you and Kurt could be found there
Could be found with Kurt in the training ground below the school
Secretly really happy the group doesn't see you as your physical body
When the first Pride Month rolled around in the Xaviers Institute, you were very excited to see how many queer students were.
The students threw a party that first week of Pride, filling the school's gym with snacks and colorful balloons, rainbow decorations, and someone was a Dj there too
Kurt and you were surprised that the Professor and Magneto showed up, but regardless very happy to see them together
You escaped the crowded place when Kurt decided to teleport both of you to the school's roof, the party downstairs still loud
Up with the cold breeze of the evening's air, you came out to Kurt as Genderfluid
Patient Kurt Wagner, Always accepting Kurt Wagner, he pulled you into a hug and was very glad you're comfortable enough to come out to him
Spent the rest of the night with your best friend and pointing out stars

Pillow replacement
Fandom: XMen
Pairing: Peter Maximoff x gn!reader
Characters mentioned: Scott Summers, Jean Grey, Professor X
Used Pronouns: (they/them)
Warnings: none
A/N: In this story, reader is a psychic. They came from an isolated place and joined the school (here academy for some reason) not too long ago. They can use for example Telekinesis.
P.S.: This was written with a platonic relationship in mind, but you are free to perceive it however you like.
P.S.S.: This happens after the events of Apocalypse (2016) (Scott and Jean are teenagers and Quicksilver decided to stay at Xavier’s School)
Summary: Reader can’t sleep without hugging something. When the other kids use all the pillows to create a fortress of pillows in the academy, reader has to improvise. Word Count: 4k
Peter lay comfortably on his bed while reading some comic book he took from Scott’s room when he wasn’t around. He had his headphones on and was listening to Floyd at full volume. Because of this, he missed the knocking on the door.
He looked up and took the headphones off. “It’s basic manners to knock before you enter, you know?”
You rolled your eyes and stepped into the room, leaving the door open behind you.
“I can hear the music from over here. Why don’t you turn the volume down before you become mute.”
He furrowed his eyebrows, puzzled. “You mean deaf?”
You sighed at the realisation. Peter just grinned and slowly incorporated himself, leaving the comic and the headphones on the bed.
“Let me be. I’m too tired to think right now. You pinched your nose bridge while still holding onto the door knob. Your eyelids were heavy from fatigue.
“Oh yeah, you weren’t around for breakfast. We should prohibit missions before 9 A.M.” He looked into the distance dramatically, remembering the many times he had been forced to wake up in the early morning hours to rescue civilians from burning buildings and such. Why couldn’t people blow buildings up in the afternoon?
“Why don’t you take a nap, though?” He ended up asking.
“That’s why I am here. The other kids are doing some massive fort out of pillow in the living room, and they took mine as well, and you know I can’t sleep without hugging something.”
“You didn’t fight for your beloved pillows? That sure is out of character.” He smirked teasingly.
“Last time I did, I ended up getting scolded by the Professor for sticking them to the wall with my powers. Anyway, would you lend me some-”
He grabbed the bag full of dirty laundry he had been leaning on. “Mine were also taken.”
You groaned displeased, and were about to leave the room when he quickly added, “You could use me as a pillow.”
You stopped in your tracks and looked at him, throwing a deadly glance. You saw him flinch.
“Nevermind, I wouldn’t qualify as a pillow anyway…huh?”
Peter didn’t know how to react to you dragging your feet in his direction. You took off some layers from your outfit and threw them on the ground without a care in the world. Then you climbed onto the bed. Finally, Peter snapped out of his confusion and smirked to himself, laying his head on the bag packed with laundry and spreading his arm so he could embrace you as you laid your head on his chest. You hugged his waist and put a leg on him, just as if he was a pillow. He looked down at you happily and made sure you felt comfortable. Then he squeezed you gently.
“I thought you wanted to hang me for offering you myself. You really must be tired to have accepted my request.” He admitted.
“I will hang you if you don’t shut it, speedy boy”, You replied, your eyes already closed.
He just giggled and rested his head on yours. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“Didn’t you go get them?” asked Jean, already in her suit.
Scott replied in an annoyed tone. “Not in their room, and not in the living room sticking people to the wall. I can’t find them anywhere. Can we just go without them?” Scott groaned at Jean’s disapproving look. “I don’t know why the Professor insists on bringing them along. We already have you as a psychic.”
“Stop complaining, will you? Go look for them in Peter’s room.”
“They are the most antisocial person I have ever met, and you believe they’d be together in a room? We would have seen Peter flying off a window already.” Scott followed Jean to Peter’s room.
“Don’t be dramatic. They only have to get used to other people. They haven’t had it easy before coming here, after all”, she said.
But Scott wouldn’t take that as an answer. He still had bruises from the first time he had met you. Although he knew it had been his fault for pushing your buttons, you still didn’t have to throw him across the room in front of the other XMen.
Jean stopped in her tracks and pressed a finger to her lips, then opened the door to Peter’s room. Scott peeked inside. His mouth dropped.
There you were, Peter and you cuddled to each other, both sleeping peacefully.
Jean smirked, “I told you.” He glanced up in annoyance. “Let’s let them sleep. The Professor will understand.”
